The Schellraiser music festival's Sixteeners are fully furnished, solar-powered 16-foot bell tents; this one has a queen-size acacia platform bed, a twin bed, Avocado-brand mattresses, seating, floor and table lamps, charging ports, Pakistani rugs and jute mats. A heated six-stall restroom/shower trailer near the campground entrance is available for our guests, and our clubhouse has a small kitchen area for cooking simple meals.

The space
PLEASE READ OUR TRAVEL, WEATHER & FIRE BAN ADVISORIES VERY CAREFULLY:
The Schellraiser music festival's campground is located in a very rural setting in a remote part of Nevada, with limited services, about 14 miles north of Ely.
To reach our property, you must travel about eight-tenths of a mile off the paved highway, along a dirt and gravel road that is SUSCEPTIBLE TO FLOODING IN WET YEARS. Drivers with Teslas and low-clearance vehicles are strongly encouraged to look elsewhere for lodging.
THIS IS REALLY, REALLY IMPORTANT:
PLEASE DO NOT USE GOOGLE MAPS OR SIMILAR APPS (APPLE MAPS, ETC.) TO FIND OUR PROPERTY! THESE APPS MAY TAKE YOU TO THE WRONG LOCATION MORE THAN 3.4 MILES AWAY FROM OUR CAMPGROUND, ALONG EXTREMELY ROUGH DIRT ROADS THAT MAY BECOME IMPASSABLE IN INCLEMENT WEATHER.
Please be prepared for cool or even cold nights: Our campground is at 6,200 feet above sea level, and it can get chilly at night – especially in early spring and late fall.
We are under a government-imposed fire ban and DO NOT ALLOW campfires.

Guest access
A heated six-stall restroom/shower trailer is available to all of our guests.

Other things to note
You can only reach our campground by driving eight-tenths of a mile off the main highway, via a sometimes-rough and rocky dirt road.
The road is typically dry during the latter part of the visitor season. But it is susceptible to flooding from record snowmelt between April and mid-July, during wet years.
Although ponding may occur along two sections of the roadway in wet years, the road is not impassable. However, travel by drivers with Teslas, Audis and other low-clearance suburban vehicles is not advised.

Neighbourhood highlights

Schellraiser is just minutes away from Basset Lake and the High Schells and Bristlecone wilderness areas, and it's within an hour's drive of Nevada's wildest mountain and desert scenery.
High peaks, evergreen forests, rugged canyons, wild rock formations, natural hot springs and ghost towns are all around us, and the surrounding area is teeming with wildlife, including the state's largest elk herd.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
Our off-grid campground is in a very rural setting in an extremely remote part of Nevada, and lacks many creature comforts that some past guests have expected.
Schellraiser was, above all else, designed for guests who share our love of the untamed and wild outdoors, and enjoy getting away from the distractions of modern life for a night or two.
If you're coming from an urban or suburban community, please keep in mind that life here is very, very different.
Coyotes (harmless to humans) may howl in the distance at night, and cows may moo. Bugs (especially beautiful sphinx moths and other important pollinators) are commonplace during wet years, and there is no way of getting rid of every last one -- even if we wanted to, which we most certainly do not.
