The space
Our house is located in beautiful North Vancouver, close to the mountains.
The house backs onto Princess Park, so the setting is quiet and peaceful.
This is a ground level suite, with private entrance, Queen size bed, private bathroom. We don't have a stove but we have a full size fridge, microwave, coffee pot, kettle and toaster. Wireless internet and 42" TV. We have a private backyard with table and chairs and a BBQ. Shared laundry for our guests downstairs.

I will be here to greet you. If you have any questions, or need anything I will be happy to help! I work from home so I'm never too far away :)

Our neighbourhood is quiet, but close to all amenities. I love the fact that we back to the park, so it is private. I love all the trees around... In the winter we are close enough to the mountains so you can ski everyday. In the summer, we have a few parks that are great for hiking. If you like mountain biking, there is a trail nearby. We are 20 min from Vancouver Downtown by car and a bit less than an hour by bus and sea bus.

The bus to Lonsdale Quay is a 2 min walk distance. It takes 25 min to get to Lonsdale Quay. From there you can take the sea bus to Downtown, which takes 12 min. You can also get other buses from there and go to other touristic attractions in the North Shore. The number of our bus is 230. There are other buses if you walk a longer distance. Our house is easily accessible by car. Nearest shopping mall and grocery store is 5 minutes by car or 20 min walking. By bus, you can get to restaurants in about 10 minutes (restaurants and pubs on Lonsdale Ave).

We have two dogs. One is a Sheltie and the other one is a German Shepherd. Unfortunately we are not going to accept dogs in our suite just because some guests might be allergic to dog hair. So we are keeping the suite a "dog-free" environment.

We are a "normal" schedule family. This means we are awake during the day and we sleep at night. We appreciate if our guests do the same! Of course you are on vacation and sleeping in is encouraged and respected. We just want to avoid loud noises during the night.

Hi, I am Claudine I started as an Airbnb host back in 2014, renting a suite in my house - Secluded Oasis - to supplement income to my vintage furniture business. In December 2015, I decided to close my shop to dedicate myself to my real estate business and new adventure - the Log House in the Sunshine Coast. My friend Kika and I bought the Log House as a vacation property for our family, friends AND Airbnb guests! We were happy to share our beautiful sanctuary with you. Unfortunately for reasons beyond our control, in January 2021 we had to sell the Log House. I continue to host my listings and co-host on Airbnb, as I love it. A little bit me: I am a very happy mother of a 26-year-old son. I have a passion for vintage treasures. I find myself imagining how those things were used many many times a long time ago, like a vintage silver teapot. I love incorporating vintage and recycled items in my decor, and you can see that in my places :) Taking care of my family (including two dogs) and my business keep me very busy! The little time I have to spare, I meet my friends, cook and watch TV! I love meeting new people and will do my best to help everyone I meet! My friends say my best asset is kindness (and the ability to laugh at myself!). What I find so interesting in being an Airbnb host is the connections we make with people! I met wonderful people that became my friends. What a pleasant surprise!
