Our guesthouse offers a wonderful space to enjoy the Snowdonia National Park. It is near the hamlet of Rhydyronen, close to the seaside town of Tywyn, high up on a peaceful hill with panoramic views of the hills, Cadair Idris mountain and the broad water and sea below. Enjoy a nearby steam train stop, footpaths from the door, ideal for walkers, cyclists, outdoor enthusiasts, families, nature lovers, or stargazers.

The space
Our home Sleeps 4-6 people with uninterrupted views of the mountains and sea. It has one king size Ensuite bedroom (additional cot or child bed available), a twin room, walk in wardrobe, a well equipped kitchen-diner, sun room/boot room, shower room, lounge with sofa bed, sun terrace and wild gardens. It’s minutes from the quaint seaside resort of Tywyn, nestled in spectacular open countryside in the heart of Snowdonia National Park. Enjoy 4 acres of grounds, a steam train stop close by and all you need for a comfortable holiday. A visitor once wrote that the house was so special she wanted to tell everyone, yet keep it a secret!

We offer a Welsh hamper on arrival, Welsh food evenings and breakfasts on request for an additional payment. Our guesthouse is the ideal base for walking/cycling trips and we are close to civilisation, shops, a cinema and restaurants. All main Rooms have views of the mountains and sea. A BBQ, picnic bench and fire pit are available for guests to use. There is plenty of space for walking in the big outdoors with footpaths, mountain biking and bridal ways nearby or from the door. If you’re bringing kids, they love the freedom here and for babies a Cot, toys and baby/toddler items are provided.

Guest access
The house has breathtaking views and wild rambling gardens.

Surrounded by footpaths and bridleways which can provide hours of rambling -the visitor guide has several walk suggestions in it for you to peruse.

There is space to park cars at the house. Tal y Llyn steam railway trains will stop at the nearby request stop in season-just tell the guard you want to get off here.

National Rail trains come regularly to Tywyn from Birmingham/Shrewsbury.

Remember to bring good outdoor shoes, slippers and a torch as it gets very dark here at night-with amazing star gazing .

Unfortunately we are not able to provide disabled access due to the nature of the landscape. If you're not sure, please give me a ring to discuss.

Other things to note
Tea and coffee, sugar, oil and a few other things are provided and the kitchen is well stocked with pots, crockery and cooking utensils, a cafetiere, washing up liquid, cooker with grill and hob, fridge freezer and picnic hamper.

Baby and toddler items provided including cot, monitors, black out blind, baby bath, games and toys, baby walker, high chair, towels and toys etc

The space is part of our own family home, there are interconnecting doors so you may hear our family during your stay.

We have a small friendly dog, and a cat.

This is a no smoking property.

We have an honesty jar policy for any breakages that accidentally happen, please inform us if you have broken something.

There is a Coop and Spar in Tywyn 10 minutes away, Asda will deliver direct to the door. Machynlleth has a local market on Wednesday which is well worth a trip for local produce. In summer Tywyn also has a market on Monday.

Get away from it all and immerse yourself in the remote rural nature of Snowdonia National Park. People come here to walk, bike, surf, relax, eat at the wonderful restaurants in the area and connect with the big outdoors.

We're in the heart of Snowdonia National Park with big uninterrupted panoramic views, starry night skies, plenty of fresh air and footpaths, bridleways, and tracks from the doorstep of the house.

We are very close to a request stop on the talyllyn railway if travelling by steam is your thing, and the local pub, a twenty minute walk away, offers great food.

The railway (in season) will take you to Dolgoch waterfalls, the seaside, a children's play park or get off and walk home.

Easily accessible by car or bike, or on foot.

We recommend visiting the lovely seaside town of Aberdyfi, Cadair Idris mountain range and Dolgellau for cake after, bike the spectacular Mawddach trail, walk Cregannen Lakes, Bearded Lake, spend a day at Tonfannau Motorcycle Racing Circuit, Machynlleth Comedy Festival, Harlech castle or Arthog Pony Trekking Centre.

We like to think we’re a humble Welsh version of ‘Escape to the Chateau’ and we aim to give our guests a warm Welsh welcome. I love hosting and looking after others and cooking big hearty meals. I teach yoga, love mountain biking, crafts and pottery, and enjoy walking in the big outdoors and surfing.
