Stay in a cozy private suite on our peaceful 22-acre working farm. Meet our rare breed dogs - gentle giant livestock guardians and a beautiful herding dog, plus cattle, sheep, ducks, chickens & a sweet horse. I'm a lifelong farmer & published author who loves sharing farm life with guests.

The suite is thoughtfully set up for your comfort, and I love showing guests around the farm if you're interested. Just 40 minutes from Halifax Airport, yet it feels a world away.

Your Stay at Sacred Eagle Farm

This fully renovated farmhouse sits on a peaceful 22-acre working farm. Guests enjoy a private suite on the lower level with its own entrance—perfect for resting after time with animals and nature.

Guest Suite Includes:

Queen Bedroom: Cozy and restful with a comfortable queen-sized bed.

Seating Area: Includes a queen-sized sofa bed for extra guests and a small workspace. Please request in advance if you’d like the sofa bed made up.

Private Half Bathroom: Located within the suite for your exclusive use.

Shared Shower: Available on the main floor from 9 AM to 9 PM.


Amenities:

Mini fridge, toaster oven, kettle, and coffee maker

Complimentary drinks: coffee, tea, hot chocolate, Coffee Mate, and sugar

Reverse osmosis water (room temperature) and cold bottled water

Outdoor barbecue available—please let us know in advance if you’d like to use it, and feel free to ask for tools or anything else you may need

Guest access
The guest suite has its own private entrance, plus an additional interior door leading to the main farmhouse where the shower is located.

Areas Guests Can Access:

Guest Suite: Private bedroom, seating area, and half bathroom, all for your exclusive use

Main Farmhouse: Access to the shared shower (main level) between 9 AM–9 PM

Outdoor Spaces: Enjoy the large yard and quiet farm setting; BBQ available on request

Nature Walks: Wander the field and path toward the brook—wildlife sightings are common

Parking: Free parking beside the guest entrance outside the gate. With advance notice, space for trailers or larger vehicles may be available inside the fenced yard

Please leave your pets at home—this is an active working farm with guardian dogs, and outside animals can be disruptive to the balance here.

Other things to note
Please ring the bell on arrival so I know you’ve arrived and can greet you—but just so you know, the Canine Welcoming Committee will likely say hello first! Our large guardian dogs are friendly but protective, and they take their job of greeting guests seriously. They may bark when you arrive, but they settle quickly once they know you’re welcome.

This is a working farm with livestock, guardian dogs, and electric fencing. Please don’t enter animal areas or open gates unless invited or guided.

Guests are kindly asked to leave pets at home, as outside animals can disrupt the balance here on the farm.

No smoking anywhere on the property—indoors or outdoors—for safety and insurance reasons.

We're only a 2 minute drive from the beautiful Musquodoboit Valley Provincial Park located on the Musquodoboit River. Another 2 minutes from there will get you to the lovely village of Middle Musquodoboit!

Nova Scotia's largest wooden playground, Big Wooden Playground, is only 10 minutes in the other direction. There is also great hiking available along the Musquodoboit Trailway!
