This one room log cabin was built in 1953 and is located in a safe, friendly Illinois town that is part of St. Louis metro area. You can walk to town (restaurants, craft breweries, concerts, plays) and you're still close to St.Louis attractions. Why fight traffic and worry about parking or safety? Guests love our clean and tranquil cabin and the welcoming town of Waterloo.

The space
A log framed king bed plus double log framed futon will sleep 3-4 guests. (Mostly used by couples looking for a getaway or a business person seeking a quiet, comfortable retreat.) The bathroom has a shower. Kitchen features granite counter top with 4 bar stools. Stocked with kitchen appliances, cooking & dining items, bed linens, robes and towels. Free WiFi & premium cable TV (HBO, Cinemax, Showtime), dvd player. We keep a few books, games and dvds.

Guest access
Share yard with our other property "Timberwolf Chalet." There is a charcoal bbq & outdoor tables/chairs. Also a firepit and cornhole game.

Other things to note
Timberwolf Cabin, aka "Uncle Harry's Cabin" sits across from our other property "Timberwolf Chalet". You can rent both if your group size is 7-10.

I love to travel in the US and abroad. My two grown children share my love of travel and my dog Maggie has been to 13 states. My goal was to hit all 50 states by age 50 and I did it, with Mississippi being the last state. Now I'm working on visiting new countries, which was easier when I traveled internationally for work. The best think about being a vacation rental host is meeting people from all over the world.
