Montacute is a beautiful unspoilt village near Yeovil. It is famous for the National Trust Montacute House (of Wolf Hall fame). The wonderful warm Ham Stone traditional buildings, local history and conservation area make it a fascinating place to spend some relaxing time. Further afield there is: Sherborne, bustling with interesting shops; Bruton for art & food lovers with the new Hauser & Wirth gallery and Newt in Somerset; wonderful gardens & houses to visit all a short distance away. Half an hours drive and you will be at the Jurassic coast - an amazing feature of the South West coastline.

There are increasingly so many lovely restaurants around- Try Osip a small farm - table restaurant in Bruton
