Enjoy your stay in DC in a small, cute, sunny, private cottage with a kitchenette, cable tv, and a private full bath. Located in a quiet neighborhood convenient to The National Mall, The Capitol Building, and great restaurants.

The space

Private cottage with private entrance features a queen bed, private bath, cable tv, a kitchenette, WiFi, heating and cooling controlled by you and clean towels, sheets and bedspreads. This is a very small house and in order to maximize the storage possibilities the bed is about a foot higher off the floor than a regular bed. We have a stool to help you but if this will be a problem you may want to look into another place to stay.
Conveniently located to Union Station, The Capitol Building, The National Mall, H Street/Atlas District, Eastern Market, great restaurants, and public transportation. Most of these locations are easily walkable or if you prefer to bike or take public transportation that is convenient too.
This cottage is in our backyard. We have a table and fire pit in the backyard that you are free to use if we are not. There is a field behind our house where we and many other neighbors enjoy playing soccer. We have 3 kids ages 6 - 9.
Check In is at 2pm.
Check Out is at 11am.
If you arrive early and would like to leave your bags in our storage room let us know and we can work that out!

Guest access

Private entrance to the cottage and bath. Keurig coffee maker, microwave, mini-fridge, and a sink are in the kitchenette. Some yogurt and snacks and coffee will be in the room. Clean sheets, towels, and bedspread will be provided for each new guest.

Interaction with guests

We are home most days and nights and happy to give you some tips on getting around the city or finding a great place for dinner but we are also happy to give you the privacy to enjoy your stay. There a few other AirBnBs on our block so you might even meet some fellow travelers!

This tiny house is exactly as described. My husband and I stayed here and it was comfortable for the two of us. Check-in was very easy. Linden sent us the door code in advance and there was no problems. It is about a 20 minute walk to the nearest metro station (Eastern Market) or the Capitol Building. The neighborhood is very pleasant to walk in. Walking in the rain was less pleasant. I recommend bringing a proper rain jacket if you'll be here in the spring! A minimal breakfast was provided (coffee/yogurt/breakfast bars). This was a perfect start to a day of sightseeing in DC.

We really enjoyed are stay in Linden's tiny house. She was away during our stay but made sure we had all the information necessary before our trip. The tiny house is, of course, tiny, but very confortable with a queen bed and kitchenette (with a mini fridge and a microwave) and a small bathroom. We enjoyed the neighborhood which is calm and pretty. As stated in many other commentary it is located about 20 minutes walk away from the main tourist sites. It is also near a street with many restaurants. We would recommand this place without hesitation and would certainly stay there again on a futur trip to DC.

Linden was an amazing host. She was able to accommodate an early check in and made sure my whole stay would be easy and stress free. If I were to visit D.C. again I wouldn't hesitate to stay with here again. Thanks Linden!

We have never been in a tiny house before so that accounted for 50% of why we booked with Linden. The other 50% was the location! This is the first time in my life that I have been able to (read afford to) stay in Capitol Hill for a weekend AND leave the car parked and walk everywhere! We really can't say enough about how convenient the location is. Being so close to H Street and all the great eateries is another delicious perk. The tiny house experience was so much fun, the bed was comfy and the bathroom was small (duh) but provided us with all the room you really need for bathroom activities. And we really loved that Linden had a stocked Keurig for us and some snacks. If you're planning a trip to D.C. book here before someone else does, you won't regret it!

My husband, Frank, and I both grew up in the DC area. We have 3 great kids who attend the local public charter school. We moved to this neighborhood recently and we are so excited about the great location. As a family we enjoy spending time together, playing outside, reading, and…
