A simple but well-kept place close to town and the beach. Price is for a double room without A/C, which is optional.
A newly built home next to the main coastal road, this place is very convenient. With four double bedrooms, each with attached bathroom, a living room, a kitchen and a nice balcony to relax, this is a great place to settle and discover Mirissa from.
Interaction with guests
Your host, Ms. Jayanthi, is a friendly lady who grew up in the area, which is also where her two daughters live. She works as a manager in the bank nearby and has designed the home herself. All kinds of things can be arranged for you, such as transport, meals, bikes and even surf boards. Just ask.
Neverbeen offers a wide variety of rare homes off the beaten track, from fisherman's huts and tree houses to heritage homes and tea estates. Our team hand-picks and visits every home and meet all hosts to make ensure guests have a positively memorable stay in places they've never been.
We provide travellers and home owners in challenging locations with access to one another, by offering communication services, online marketing services and tourism training, so that locals can make a living off their home and travellers can get to stay in places they have never been.
As such, Neverbeen works for a world in which everyone has the chance to earn income by renting out their home, regardless of language, internet access and tourism experience.
In Sri Lanka, Dishan manages our growing group of homes in cooperation with our scouts, while Rohan creates listings and provides service. In Amsterdam, Marten works out international growth plans. Our team of in-house programmers is constantly developing the platform itself and Ernst & Young does our finances.
The first country we're active in is Sri Lanka, a beautiful country with many undiscovered places to stay. Due to it recently having opened up to tourism after decades of conflict, it is a great place to start and pilot the Neverbeen concept. We plan to expand to ten countries before the end of 2017.
