Beenath’s is a big villa right on Dikwella’s beach front and along the main road close to the town.
Price is for a double, non-A/C room with attached bathroom and there are four rooms available, some with optional A/C.
With its four comfy rooms, living room and huge garden with cabana, we loved this place for it’s relaxed, natural atmosphere and sea breeze. Located along the main road, close to the town. A perfect place to wind down, read a book, go for a swim or a stroll along the beach. Chill.
Interaction with guests
Beenath is a friendly, middle aged man who runs the home with his mom. Retired after 12 years in the air force, the guesthouse and his cab are his source of income now. We didn’t get to taste his special ‘devilled’ dishes when we were there, but they sure sounded promising, but if you’re more confident of your own cooking skills you can ask to use the kitchen at a small fee.
Neverbeen offers a wide variety of rare homes off the beaten track, from fisherman's huts and tree houses to heritage homes and tea estates. Our team hand-picks and visits every home and meet all hosts to make ensure guests have a positively memorable stay in places they've never been.
We provide travellers and home owners in challenging locations with access to one another, by offering communication services, online marketing services and tourism training, so that locals can make a living off their home and travellers can get to stay in places they have never been.
As such, Neverbeen works for a world in which everyone has the chance to earn income by renting out their home, regardless of language, internet access and tourism experience.
In Sri Lanka, Dishan manages our growing group of homes in cooperation with our scouts, while Rohan creates listings and provides service. In Amsterdam, Marten works out international growth plans. Our team of in-house programmers is constantly developing the platform itself and Ernst & Young does our finances.
The first country we're active in is Sri Lanka, a beautiful country with many undiscovered places to stay. Due to it recently having opened up to tourism after decades of conflict, it is a great place to start and pilot the Neverbeen concept. We plan to expand to ten countries before the end of 2017.
