A beautifully private hide-out near the beach for up to four people. Price is for the whole villa.
At a few hundred metres from a gorgeous stretch of beach and amidst a lush garden lies your place to be. Sachintha’s is a newly built villa with two double rooms, a shared bathroom, a well-equipped kitchen and a small veranda facing the garden. Colorful paintings nicely decorate many of the walls. We really liked it here.
Interaction with guests
Dilan Sachintha, your host, is a young entrepreneurial fellow. With the help of his father and mother, he started this guesthouse a while back and he told us proudly he’s already hosted more than twenty guests in the last few months. He lives with his mother in a separate home nearby, so it’s pretty easy to arrange things like food, transport and activities with him. Taking care of the home are friendly Wasantha and the two playful dogs Puppy and Deula.
Neverbeen offers a wide variety of rare homes off the beaten track, from fisherman's huts and tree houses to heritage homes and tea estates. Our team hand-picks and visits every home and meet all hosts to make ensure guests have a positively memorable stay in places they've never been.
We provide travellers and home owners in challenging locations with access to one another, by offering communication services, online marketing services and tourism training, so that locals can make a living off their home and travellers can get to stay in places they have never been.
As such, Neverbeen works for a world in which everyone has the chance to earn income by renting out their home, regardless of language, internet access and tourism experience.
In Sri Lanka, Dishan manages our growing group of homes in cooperation with our scouts, while Rohan creates listings and provides service. In Amsterdam, Marten works out international growth plans. Our team of in-house programmers is constantly developing the platform itself and Ernst & Young does our finances.
The first country we're active in is Sri Lanka, a beautiful country with many undiscovered places to stay. Due to it recently having opened up to tourism after decades of conflict, it is a great place to start and pilot the Neverbeen concept. We plan to expand to ten countries before the end of 2017.
