Guest access

Part of the Airbnb experience means meeting people and community; however, we understand when that may not always be convenient. You will have electronic access to the home for checking in and out and you will have the house private to yourself during your stay. There is an electronic deadbolt keypad on the front door. You will be provided access instructions a few days prior to your scheduled stay.

Interaction with guests

Scott or Lynda will be available during your stay for any issue that may arise. you will have access to our email and cell numbers for contact. We also do our best to be as responsive as we can to make your stay as amazing as possible!

Other things to note

Some other details:
1. The hot tub is professionally maintained weekly on Tuesdays, and our pool guy appreciates clothed guests during his visits, however promises not to photograph if you forget! We care about safety: the hot tub is drained and sanitized, and filters are changed quarterly.
2. Please enjoy the fire pit; because we provide your first morning coffee/tea supplies...please supply your own firewood for use. Local grocery stores usually carry firewood for use in-season.
3. The house is in a residential neighborhood, so please be respectful toward our neighbors by keeping down the noise, especially when enjoying the outside space and hot tub.
4. The TV stand in the living room is packed with plenty of board games and playing cards.
5. There is a closet off the eat-in kitchen where a full-size, front-loading, HE washer and dryer live for your laundry pleasure.
6. Some inquiring minds want to know the size of the house, isn't that like asking a woman's age or a man's shoe size!? As if size matters, we are 1,362 sq ft total livable space. There is no garage; however, there is covered parking for 1/driveway space for 2 more. We ask people to refrain from parking in the street where possible, keeping our neighbors in mind.
7. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed with a plush mattress, the second bedroom has a queen-size bed with a firmer mattress, and the office/third bedroom has a pullout full-size futon. There is also a memory foam topper that can be used in either the second bedroom or office/third bedroom, depending on your taste. Additionally, we have a queen-size air mattress that would go in the living room.
8. Dogs DO NOT live on the property full-time; however, we spend a lot of time with rescue dogs in their environment. While we professionally clean the house, we are conscious of full-disclosure for those with serious pet-allergies.

I am a business traveler from Tucson and usually in need of short two day stay. Scott and Lynda's place was perfect for that. They communicated so well and made my check in super simple. The house was clean beyond expectation, decorated well and it had a sense of calm to it that I desperately needed during my trip. I didn't get to use the hot tub, still a bit warm, but the backyard space was excellent. I enjoyed coffee on the back patio in the mornings, they have the funky mural in the back yard! I highly recommend taking a walk in the neighborhood or toward Old Town for an adventure! The canal path close by is also so awesome, running along Camelback Mountain. I didn't do much cooking, but having access to a Vitamix for my smoothies was impressive for a vacation rental kitchen, nice touch guys ;) Ps, internet worked great for my business needs and there were plenty of great spots in the house to work from. "Lily Sleeps" was awesome, besides... I found another "lynda" with a Y twin!

Scott and Lynda were amazing hosts. They accommodated us very well and the place was amazing. We were very comfortable and will definitely be looking for this place any time we return to Scottsdale. Amazing place with an amazing location and I couldn't say anything negative about the place if I tried. The hot tub was awesome and the back yard was great to hang out in. Neighborhood was great and we will definitely be looking to book their place in the future for any trips that we have to Scottsdale!

We had a great stay. 3 couples stayed in this house for a wedding over the weekend and it was very nice. We were able to walk to old Scottsdale which we appreciated and only about a 5 min drive from the wedding. The house in clean and nicely decorated with plenty of space. The hot tub is nice Relax in at night once the weather cools down. Lynda and Scott were great at communication and made an early check in very easy. Would definitely recommend this place to other

We absolutely loved it. We couldn't have asked for better hosts. We will definitely be going back and recommend this property to anyone visiting the area. Lynda and Scott's home was an excellent place to stay. It was beautifully appointed and had everything you could possibly need for a vacation. We enjoyed the gourmet kitchen - we cooked breakfast almost every morning. The hot tub was way cool. There was ample parking for truck, trailer, and covered location for the motorcycles. Music system was excellent. It was close to everything we wanted in a nice, quiet, and friendly neighborhood. As we walked around the neighborhood people said hello and even offered us fruit off their fruit trees. It was very close to the trolley system that gets you downtown Scottsdale. There were several bars and food places within walking distance. We enjoyed staying here and will again when we come for bike week. Great find!

Lily Sleeps is a very comfortable place to stay in a quiet residential neighborhood yet within walking (or biking!) distance to many great attractions and services. My husband and I stayed for 6 nights and did without a car very nicely. Our goals were to walk and bike locally (as opposed to drive and hike). We walked to Albertson's (big grocery store) for supplies. We rented bicycles (non-electric, although electric is what they specialize in!) from Pedego and biked along the infinite miles of canals. In addition to Pedego there were several other bike rental places to choose from. The mountain views are beautiful in all directions from various places in Scottsdale. Lily Sleeps is only a few blocks away from the Crosscut Canal which runs north/south - it is possible to walk to the canal and walk along it. Also available is the Arizona Canal which is Scottsdale's Waterfront. The rental is less then 3 mile bike along the Crosscut canal to Papago Park with hiking trails and the Desert Botanic Garden and Phoenix Zoo. We visited the Botanic Garden and hiked around the rock formations in the park. In addition to biking on the canal paths many streets have bike lanes - so while streets can be wide (2 or 3 lanes in each direction) occasional biking on the street felt safe. While there are no mountain views from the back yard there is a stunning mural which you can enjoy day or night while soaking in the lovely hot tub. The kitchen is furnished with everything you might need - we cooked in one night. The restaurants of Scottsdale are about a 10-15 min walk (depending on your speed) away, along residential streets with fruit trees (orange, lemon and grapefruit - some residents sell bags of fruit). Lily Sleeps features some beautiful artwork inside as well and a collection of books about the area to enjoy. Lily Sleeps provides a very detailed house manual to answer all your questions about what is where in the house and neighborhood and Lynda and Scott are reachable if you have questions.

Scott hails from Brookfield, Connecticut, and Lynda is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We live in the Desert Southwest, calling Arizona home now.

Lynda loves of dogs, photography, and any local art scene. She is an accountant and entrepreneur by day but would much rather enjoy live music, a local art event, or bare feet in the grass. Scott is a creative welder, tinkerer, and builder of many things, and in his past lives has been a high school administrator, flight instructor, and Army officer. He certainly finds life in Arizona more enjoyable than his days serving in Iraq. We love to travel and especially enjoy immersing ourselves in the "local scene" whenever possible. Airbnb has provided dynamic opportunities to do so! We are so grateful to have made many friends across the country, as guests and hosts. We are also excited for an upcoming trip to Spain to stay with amazing hosts in Barcelona!

While Lynda has hosted her personal home for a few years now, we have recently joined the Airbnb hosting ranks together with our home we call "Lily Sleeps." We have a true passion for supporting local art; we enjoy featuring many local artists' works and sharing them with you. We hope you enjoy the eclectic (sometimes edgy...) blend of talent and original art decorating our home.

We would love for you to enjoy your stay as much as we enjoy the positive energy this home radiates. This house certainly has special meaning for us; it was the first home we worked on together, and the house also features some of the furniture that Scott has built. Not to be outdone, you won't have to look too far to see Lynda's tattooed likeness in the living room. We remodeled this 1957 small home in hopes of restoring some of its MCM charm.

Please enjoy your stay!
Lynda and Scott
