Well...I've just retired from my Engineering role in Nigeria at the age of 77 after spending 22 years there and 20+ years in the Middle East before that. I'm now back in the UK full time and loving spending time with family and friends. I love adventure and since my 70th birthday i've ticked a few things off the bucket list including: - Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with my Son - Sky diving in Cuba - Jumping off the Stratosphere Tower in Las Vegas - Flying a plane - Driving a single seater race car - Abseiling from the Forth Rail Bridge - Learning to Ski ...........and by far the most dangerous......becoming a Grandad to my adorable, albeit bossy Granddaughter Annabelle. I'm new to airbnb hosting, however love the concept and can't wait for people to stay in the apartment i'm renting out. I bought the property with my son and his wife earlier this year (2017) and we've poured blood, sweat and tears into making it into somewhere I hope you'll love as much as we do. We love Edinburgh and particularly Leith. I've enjoyed seeing the area change and diversify over the years. Leith walk is alive with great restaurants, bars and cafe's. It's a short walk into the centre of town or in the other direction to 'The Shore' for more great restaurants, bars and tourist attractions. We have made up a folder of our favourite things and hope you'll do as many of these as you can during your stay.
