“Very touristy, I have to admit. But also still the most beautiful park in Vienna, my favourite place to go for a run as well or just sit down in a nice corner and read a great book. There is a very nice café really close called Café Nook.”

“Part of the imperial summer residence of Schönbrunn, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the world's oldest zoo is indeed an unforgettable experience, and one that no visitor to Vienna should miss. More than 700 animal species, some of them threatened, have found a home here and a chance for survival as a species.”

“Schönbrunn Palace One of the most significant cultural landmarks in the country, the Schönbrunn Palace is a stunning imperial residence built in the late baroque style of architecture. Boasting 1441 rooms, it was the summer residence of the Habsburg monarchs. The palace is one of the most visited sites in the city. As well as having great historical significance, it also has a beautiful location with plenty of extravagant gardens and walkways. The palace is also home to the Schönbrunn Zoo, one of the oldest in the world.”

“One of the best parks in vienna which has something to offer for everyone. There are fitness devices, three table tennis tables, a playground for kids, a basket ball court, an area for dogs and lots of green area to relax. Prefere going there in autumn or summer! A lovely park for a stroll. We come here every morning if we can to the playgrounds as we live near here. The kids love it, especially the sand area and the open grass area to run. Do note that there are no toilets though. A very nice park with wonderful playgrounds.”

“Old stile, famous cafe restaurant in the 13th district, old fashioned, unique. Café Dommayer is a concert café in Hietzing, formerly Dommayers Casino, where Johann Strauss I and II and Josef Lanner made music. Sweets from the "Kurbadkonditorei Oberlaa" - hmmmmm.....”

“Meidlinger Markt is 3 stops away on the subway, or ten minutes by bike. It provides a bit of a break from the rather fancy neighborhood in Hietzing and allows you to experience street life in Vienna at its most authentic. Of course you will find a few great fruit&veg stands as well as butchers and bakers but most people come here for eating and drinking, and for the atmosphere. The people are very mixed, Viennese working class, hipsters, immigrants, all come here and that is reflected in the food options.”

“Austrian spin on the American burger, but very well deserving! The burgers are BIG, and the menu suggests a different beer for each burger. I got the blue cheese and loved it, one of the best blue cheese burgers of my life. The matching beer (Kriek Mariage Parfait) was also really interesting, deep ruby/purple color, brewed with cherries. Expect this place to be busy and loud—it is a beer house after all—and the bun of the burger to be more… Germanic. Great selection of drinks and fantastic burgers, I think the cheesey cheese burger was too much for me though, I'll make sure to fast for a day before going again.”
