“"Eco-Adventures" will ferry you up to the island and then will give you a guided walk where you will be introduced to NZ native flora and fauna. There are a few different birds there that we don't tend to see on the mainland so it makes the trip all worthwhile. There is a fantastic little track taking you up to the top of the island that makes the best picnic spot and don't forget your togs! If you are feeling brave, you can go for a swim...yes...there is actually a lake at the top of the island! This is a truly 'out of the way' intimate experience where there are not hoards of people.”
