We had a great stay at Zandra's house. Zandra was very helpful in getting us to/from San Pedro airport, got us a great deal on a golf cart rental, and even arranged massages for us. She made herself available if we had any questions or needed anything at all. The house is in a great location, just on the other side of the bridge but within walking distance of the heart of San Pedro (she even has bikes for you to borrow!) Thanks for having us Zandra!

I loved Zandra's place!! She was amazing. Everything is thought through for you. You are very close by to a beach, and she provides bikes to help you get there as well as a property hand, Johno, who was more than happy to cart my around if need be. Zandra was able to help me order food, even drove me in town to go to an atm when I ran out of money! I loved my stay in San Pedro and I would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay at "100 feet from the beach". Close to town, literally steps from the beach and very comfortable. Very much a bargain. The staff were awesome, with security, transfers and arrangements it was effortless. The unique decor adds to the fun of he place, right down to the leopard print pool table felt. Fun times, fun place!

This place was pretty much perfect. The condo is very artfully designed, the location is pretty much the most idea on the island. It is about 1/8 of a mile to the toll bridge into town. The private pool was in very good condition with a new deck. There is a private hot tub as well. There were beautiful creatures in the yard....hermit crabs, gecko and the doggys: Mitsy, Molly and Nala. All friendly, all laid back. Our hosts were very accommodating and friendly. Everybody on the island knows Dave and Alexandria, they've been there for many years. Even the pool table was in great condition with nice cues. The people of San Pedro are the friendliest, happiest people I've ever encountered. I recommend this highly....... I've been a lot of places, this is one of the best.

Great experience-- Zandra and David really took the time out to show us around the island, set up a snorkel adventure for us, and were around when we needed them.

We really enjoyed our stay at Zandra's condo. She offered to help plan our adventures and had good recommendations for us. It is very spacious and has an eclectic motif you won't find anywhere else. The garden out front provides a serene atmosphere and lush feel not found at other places. The location is great, just north of the bridge so it is quiet but still very close to town. I would recommend staying here for your San Pedro, Belize vacation.

Zandra's place was EXACTLY as described... and then some! We arrived at the San Pedro airport greeted by our lovely house managers, Chano and Ampurita. The house was just as we expected. The kitchen had the basics for cooking (we cooked our fresh caught fish)! The pool table was perfect entertainment from the sun mid day. The short walk to the beach in back of the house was perfect for our morning coffee strolls. We even brought inner tubes to lounge and relax. Zandra hooked us up with the folks at Seakarus who took us on a 1/2 day fishing trip (turned into more than 1/2 day). We caught TONS of fish but more importantly, had a great time! I HIGHLY recommend staying at CasaTropicana! We hope to get back this way some day. Our only regret - we stayed so busy with the island that we did not get to spend enough time with Dave and Zandra! They are a great couple and have made the cottage a homey place for travelers to feel like they are home away from home!

Madi's place is in a great location on San Pedro. You will need to pay for the fee for crossing the main bridge, which we didn't realize, but buying a month's pass is much cheaper than the price per crossing. There is a bit of noise at night, but I think that would be your experience anywhere on the island. And working with David- the property manager onsite is AMAZING and is will to do whatever he can to make your stay easier and better... we really enjoyed him!

Very modern and amazingly located. Madi & Aaron are great to deal with as well as the onsite property manager Mark. The place is like a modern condo with all the corresponding amenities in the kitchen and bathroom. The beds are super comfy. Wifi & AC work great. The place is cosy and comfortable overall. The location is excellent. It is basically at the gateway between the north and south sides of the island. With a golf cart or bicycles (provided) you can get anywhere fast. The convenient location does bring with it some road noise but I got used to it quickly. The salt water pool is great as well as the dock. Beautiful sunsets can be viewed over the lagoon every night. Access to the beach is a short walk. I would definitely stay again.

Wow! This new condo with high-end finishes, custom furniture and designer details made Sea-esta the most excellent choice and greatest value to anchor our Belizean vacation! We loved the bikes provided (nice touch!) and used them often. The condo had everything we needed to make our stay wonderful and Madi was a ROCKSTAR host before, during and after our visit. We loved the pool and amazing views from any point on the property! I have stayed elsewhere in Ambergris Caye and the accommodations were shabby and outdated compared to Sea-esta which is immaculate and modern. Plan early since this paradise condo books out well in advance!

Madi's place for starters is situated in an ideal location for us. It's just a 2-3 minute golf cart ride into town, but far enough north to enjoy a quiet evening on the pier. There a two beach cruisers with the unit if you don't want to go the golf cart route. The unit is finished out nicely & very clean. Plenty of living area for 4 adults. The provided beach towels was a nice touch. Our favorite day was spent snorkeling from 9-5, walking the Beach/Bars in San Pedro, eating at Sandy Toes, and finishing up the night right by Madi's place at our favorite watering hole - The Truck Stop.

Sea esta is the perfect quaint place to stay! Close to all the hip bars and restaurants. The unit has a unique Belizean style with a modern touch. I love this place!!!

Madi’s place provided a great value and was an excellent home base for our San Pedro vacation. The condo was clean and well stocked with linens and cooking equipment. All of the appliances were functional. It appears that the beach towels were removed from the unit by previous renters; these were not replaced during our stay. We felt safe during our stay. The street outside is well lit around the condo and there is even a local police station a block away (although it is only manned occasionally). There were also several neighbors (full time residents and vacationers) staying in the ten unit building. David, the local property manager, was knowledgeable and helpful throughout our stay. We really enjoyed being outside of town on the north side of the bridge. The place is close enough to town that it is walkable. There are several great restaurants and resorts in the area. The community pool and dock were also great bonuses. As a party of four (two couples) the unit was just enough space. Beyond making coffee and oatmeal we did not do any cooking. While the condo does sleep four people, future tenants should know that one of the rooms is storage space that has been finished out as a bedroom by adding a ceiling fan and a bed. This room has limited thermal insulation. The units only AC is sufficient to cool the living room and kitchen, but to keep the rooms cool it is necessary to keep the bedroom doors open all night. This limits privacy for couples traveling together. While not unique to this unit, the units windows (and garage doors) provide limited audio insulation. This combined with an island full of golf carts and a 7am “rush hour” can make for some early mornings. San Pedro's latitude provides some pretty early sunrises and the curtains in the bedroom provide limited light reduction. Overall we were very happy with the value provided by Madi’s place.

Awesome location! Great for diving as it is super close to Sea Star. Quick ride into town without being too close. Clean and efficient place to stay.

Wow. What a beautiful stay! The pool and people around this little apartment made every evening memorable. Madi was incredibly helpful and responded to all of our requests in no time.

We just returned from a one week trip in Belize and could not have found a better place to stay. Laura's place is close to restaurants, bars, diving/snorkeling trips and has one of the best docks right outside. You can easily walk out for a swim or relax on the dock with a drink and beautiful views. A 5 minute walk to the north and you are at great beach bars, a 5 minute walk south and you are in the heart of town. The condo is well designed, clean, well-equipped kitchen and has a great patio with a hammock to relax in. The grounds are well maintained and quiet. This place truly is a gem in San Pedro. Laura was very accommodating, even after we changed our arrival plans. The management onsite was also accommodating and willing to help with anything we needed. Truly a great place to stay. Skip the resort hotels and stay here!

We originally were planning on staying for 2 nights. The moment we walked into the location, we checked to see if we could extend our stay. We could by one night! It was rather hot while we were there and the AC worked great at this location. We were able to relax and just enjoy or vacation exactly as we had hoped. Laura was always prompt with her communication and gives great ideas on things to do in the area on any given night.

Everything about staying here was perfect. Couldn't ask for a better location. The home was beautiful and the area was clean and quiet. Made for an epic vacation.

Laura was great! Within minutes of booking the AirBnB, she responded providing very detailed information on the rental property. When I forgot to answer, she persisted and contacted me (1 day from booking) to ensure that she could get in touch with me or that I had the contact information for her property manager. The property itself was extremely comfortable and updated. It was very up to date, the air conditioning (2, one in the living room and one in the bedroom), kept the apartment nice and cool after a long day of drinking by the beach. It was extremely well lit, all amenities were provided, and the bed was extremely comfortable. In terms of location, you could not ask for a better AirBnB spot. We were within walking distance (10 minutes) of everything. Lastly, when I arrived, Ms. Nellie (property manager) ensured that we were picked up. When we needed to get in touch with a tour guide with a local phone, she hooked us up right away. Long story short, the place was amazing. The only thing I would improve on this is the cost. It was not extremely expensive but it could always be more affordable.

Staying at Laura's was exactly as described. The location was perfect. Right on the beach yet quiet. We rented a cart only one day and walked the town rest of days. The condo is central to town and grocery stores so we were able to eat out and stay in and cook. Housekeeping was great and the grounds were maintained. We stayed a week and would definitely return!! The dock in front of condo was perfect for morning coffee or a morning Johnny cake!

Laura's place was just as described. It was right in the middle of town, we were able to walk to endless bars, restaraunt and dive shops. The condo was clean, quiet, and perfect for my wife and I. Laura was extremely helpful with everything. She even had a driver there to pick us up at the ferry when we arrived. I would definitely want to stay here again.

Diana's place was lovely and surpassed expectations. I don't think the pictures do it justice. We stayed in the rooftop suite and the very large outdoor patio in the beautiful treetops, a very large gorgeous flower bush and colorful hammock and picnic table where you could listen and see many different tropical birds gather was wonderful. The unit has ac but we didn't at all need it (it was actually surprisingly cool, think 70s for our stay). The room itself was the perfect size for 2 but did also include a day bed if you had a 3rd guest. You won't spend much time inside while on the island. It was always clean and it was quite nice that Diana had a housekeeper come to the room every day that we were there, always while we were out and about so when we would come back our bed would be made and trash taken out just like a turn down service at a hotel. The grounds and landscaping at Diana's is really well done. There is a very cozy communal kitchen shack that had everything we needed to fry up some fish we caught one day, she even keeps a fridge there stocked with Belizean beer and sodas. It was really a quite warm and cozy place! The only complaints I can think of were two really small things that I think you'd find maybe anywhere you'd stay on the island and that was that there were always some ever so tiny ants in the bathroom, and at night with the windows open to the nice cool breeze you will hear a lot of dogs barking, not Diana's dogs which were quite well behaved, but others throughout the neighborhood. Also this place is not located right on the water or beach but everything you would want or need to get to is quite close and accessible from Diana's including the beach of course. She even has two bicycles any guest may use on a first come first serve basis. She also offered to get us a golf cart from a rental place she trusts which I think many guests do, but we found it was quite easy just to walk everywhere as we are used to that living in the city. All and all I highly recommend this place! I hope to be back! Thanks Diana!

Diana's house was great. We would definitely book with her again if we travel to San Pedro in the future. It's close enough to the square but far enough to enjoy nature and all it's beauty. Peaceful and calm location, wonderful staff!! Miss it already!! Other guest at Diana's house also just as friendly as Diana and her staff. I would recommend if you're looking to relax and enjoy nature.

Diana really made our stay in San Pedro as good as it can be with the lovely place (including one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept on!), great breakfast and the wealth of recommendations and tips she was more than happy to provide! Diana really goes the extra mile, even to the extent of providing a local mobile phone which we found useful. One minor comment is that due to the rain the road conditions to the place were particularly muddy as its slightly out of the centre and so not gravelled roads, but I understand this was a freak occurrence due to the unusual weather for the time of year. Otherwise a perfect place and a great host. Thanks Diana!

Like the other reviews, I too have to agree that Diana was an absolutely amazing host! She was so informative and helpful from the moment we arrived until literally when we had to say goodbye. She welcomed us into her beautiful home with open arms. The apartment was clean and well kept. It is a short drive to town and has some local restaurants and shops in walking distance. I would highly recommend staying here. Diana took the worry out of arriving to a new island with her kindness and wealth of knowledge. You're sure to have a great time here!

Diana's place was amazing, actually in a Belizean neighborhood, and she is such a wonderful hostess! Location-wise, there are lots of gorgeous plants and wildlife around, and the trade winds keep the room cool enough to sleep with the windows wide open if the neighborhood dogs don't bother you. You can see the lagoon from your porch and the beach front is just a short bike ride away. Speaking of bikes, she provides 2 to use and they make the stay so much more fun - and easy to get around! Hostess-wise, Diana was so helpful in all our questions and quests, always offering to call for a reservation or taxi if we needed it. Be sure if you stay that you sit down and have a beer with her and her friends, especially if you have questions about the area or Belize in general. Breakfast was also great; she uses local products in the breakfast she makes, and it was totally delicious. As a side note... if you're apprehensive about the aforementioned wildlife, don't worry; her dog, Darwin, will keep all the geckos away from you!

What an amazing vacation! Just stayed with Miss Diana at her fantastic place in paradise for two weeks, missing it already. Diana is fabulous. From the moment we arrived we felt comfortable with her and at home in the apartment. The apartment itself has everything you need, including a super comfortable bed. There is an excellent breeze that blows through and keeps you comfortable even on the super hot days. Truly, I am usually one to use the air con but had no need to use it, not even once.The rooftop terrace is huge and was a great place to sit and enjoy the breeze and view with our morning coffee (Belizian coffee is delicious, I might add). The location is nice. It is secluded enough to offer peace and tranquility, yet only a five minute walk to the beach, convenience store, restaurant, fabulous bakery etc. The walk along the beach to the centre of town is stunning and might be 20 minutes tops. As I mentioned, Diana was more than terrific. She is welcoming, fun, kind, interesting, honest and of course, hospitable. If ever we needed anything, Diana was immediately on top of it...from golf cart rentals, to extra wash clothes...and everything in between. The breakfasts are great and a real treat every morning. We enjoyed every single one of the 15 breakfasts we had, a real bonus. Overall Diana and her place more than exceeded our expectations! We really feel like we have made a friend for life. Our four month old baby, fell in love with Diana as well...her new Grandma:) We cannot wait to go back next year. We highly recommend having yourself a stay at the "Tranquil Treehouse", you will not be disappointed!

Diana's establishment is an inimitable blend of modern sensibility and a lovely old-school gentility. Her place is really a thoughtful private lodge, and not merely a room she rents to strangers. If you want to have a super-chill holiday in Belize, off the beaten path of cheesy resorts, with almost no effort on your part, this is the way to go. She serves a hearty breakfast with real napkins, proper dishware, interesting conversation and discussion of plans for the day - this is a really nice way to start a day of snorkeling, or sitting on the beach, or riding a bicycle to Mayan ruins. The bikes she provides are a real plus, and are definitely the best way to get around the island. Also take her up on the offer of a ride out to an empty beach. The apartment itself, up in the trees, is also just the thing. The porch is enormous and the main attraction - lots of nice bird and iguana watching from the porch furniture or hammocks, a really perfect place to hang out with a drink and a book. The interior is cleanly, comfortably furnished and the glass brick shower with great light and windows is awesome after a long day in the sun.

Ms. Diana was s(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) wonderful! She took my friend and I in as family, practically. The room was great, and the property is basically a bird sanctuary unto itself! We wanted for NOTHING! She makes excellent breakfast, and her home is beautiful and inviting. Anyone would be lucky to stay with her!

My husband and I travel to San Pedro about 3 times a year, and have been going there for 20+ years. Since our usual hotel was not available, we found Ceni's apartment and decided to try it out. What a wonderful experience! It is a lovely place, decorated in style. Because it is right on the beach, you can sit on the patio, enjoy the view and the breeze, and have lunch or a drink and people watch. We were also within walking distance to all the great restaurants in San Pedro. And at night, it was very quiet. Plus, there is a washer and dryer! Ceni was a wonderful host, kind and accommodating. She brought us fruit on the first morning, and then when we requested a blender, she went out and bought a new one for us to use. She and Garry were great hosts. I highly recommend this place, and will stay there again!

Absolutely amazing place! Perfectly located in town but quiet and steps to the beach. Ceni is amazing with communication and a first class host! Great amenities and in walking distance to so many restaurants and fun activities. We would highly recommend this place to anyone and cannot wait to return.

Great hostess! Ceni could be the town mayor. She knew everyone on the island and gave us a lot of insider info. The place itself is very comfortable and quiet. The bedroom has the A/C so we were fine at night. Our friend slept on the couch and got warm at times. I think this is best for couples only. The location is great and it is very quiet. All the decor and linens are better than my own. The owner Gary, was helpful with diving shop tips and his mother Ceni was a gem.

Terrific hospitality before and throughout stay. Host answered questions before trip, picked us up from airport and gave us a tour of town. He kindly made a dinner reservation for for us Christmas and arranged a hotel for us for after our departure. Apartment was wonderful: clean, stocked well and, yep, right on the beach. As advertised. Lovely.

Great location, just a few steps away from the Caribbean sea! There were even snake eels, tropical fish, and sea slugs in the little rocks right in front of the apartment. Also easily walkable to everything, less than a 5 minute walk to the airport or the water taxi as well as tons of bars, restaurants, and dive and adventure shops. Nicely furnished, great king size bed, AC, and sweet hosts. We were picked up at the water taxi and given a little orientation tour of the city by our host on the way in, so nice! Thanks again!

Great place! Couldn't have asked for a better location, very walkable. Seleni and Gary picked us up from the water taxi and took us to the apartment, which is right on the beach. They were also great at communicating and giving recommendations. The place was cute, clean and thoughtfully decorated. Nice big king bed and lots of closest space. We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely picturesque home on the beach! Well kept and maintained. Great bedroom and shower. Ample size place. The view is the best part. You have steps from the beach and get the ocean breeze. Location is perfect. Walking distance to downtown San Pedro as well as any excursion points you'd like to embark upon. Very friendly and attentive host. Would highly recommend this place.

The place is close to Downtown. You can survive without a golf cart but if you want to make your stay very comfortable get one. There are plenty of places to eat even in the low season. Our caretaker was really helpful, got all the tips we needed. Overall experience is good, would definitely return.

We had a great few nights here - very quiet street, lovely informative host, and cheap enough that we could splurge on the food and adventures of the island. Thank you!

Lisa is fantastic! The room is great, has a little kitchen which was perfect for us as we cooked breakfast both mornings we were there. The air conditioning was a great relief from the heat at the end of the day! The bed was comfy and we enjoyed the stay. :) Great value for sure!

This was a great little spot in a very good location! There's a great wing place (AJ's) right around the corner!! The bed was comfortable, the wifi was GREAT, and Lisa was very friendly and accomodating!! There's a local doggie nearby who you'll hear occasionally, but by no means a nuisance! The cookware is minimal, but adequate. I did a little bit of cooking while there and was able to get the job done pretty sufficiently! Overall a very good experience! It's within walking distance to town and other good restaurants! There are lots of potholes and standing water all over the island, so remember to bring bug spray because depending on the season the mosquitoes are out!

This unit apparently used to be a long term rental for pilots etc. It's a nice basic apartment with everything you need (linen, towels, some cutlery and dishes). We were able to cook a delicious meal in the kitchen on the last night there- using fresh veggies from a nearby produce stand, and fish we caught that morning! Lisa takes care of the property and was super helpful when it came to good places to eat, and how much we should be paying for taxis. Lisa also arranged a great tour for us with a local fisher, who turned out to be a little less expensive than the resort tours, and super sweet and funny. It's definitely worth it to rent the golf cart, or at least bicycles- and take a cab to the unit from the water taxi (we learned that the hard way haha- while doable on foot, it's tough with luggage). This was a great place to stay while exploring the island. Do talk to the locals and find out the hot spots for street vendor food, as they have the best bang for your buck food-wise! :) We had a fantastic stay!

This place is amazing for a budget traveler! It's super close to the beach, and the center (less than 2 minutes away walking distance). The room was very clean and comfortable. Edmond was an amazing host, he scheduled our water taxi and taxi from Belize city, gave us a small tour of the island when we arrived, and helped us schedule a snorkeling tour. Really one of the best Airbnb hosts I've had. Greatly recommend this place if you're looking for a cheap but very comfortable spot in San Pedro.

Simple place in a central location.

Had an amazing time at Edmond's place! About a minute walk from the beach and a few minutes from the Main town. Quiet and comfortable!

Edmonds place is right by the beach and also near really good restaurants, bars, and dive shops! His place was clean and had great air con. Everything is walkable from Edmonds place. He even offered us bikes to ride around the town. Communication wasn't great during check in but luckily a man on the street knew Edmond and pointed us to his shop. It all worked out easy enough. Overall we had a good stay and recommend this spot!

Jaime is an excellent host! He had great communication from the start and picked us up from the airport to take us home. He went above and beyond and highly recommend the stay. Cannot thank him enough!

Jose Jaime's place was perfect for our trip! Very centrally located to the downtown area of San Pedro, and within walking distance and nearly everything up north. Jose helped us to rent bikes and to set up an activity. Highly recommend getting bikes for a few days to see your way around the city. The place itself was perfect and simple, which made it easy for relaxing. Equipped with a full kitchen and stove and very nice bathroom area. The place faces the most crystal clear water and a very long pier to lay out on. We travel to a lot of destinations and this was one of our favorites!

What a wonderful host! Jaime was kind and hospitable and was willing to help us out with anything we needed. He gave us the best recommendations. Room was clean, tidy, and centrally located right on the water just a few minutes walk on the beach from downtown San Pedro. His son, Jaime Jr. provided us an incredible private snorkel tour of hol San marine reserve and shark ray alley. It was incredible. If you stay here you must ask about this. Much better than a group trip. 10/10 would definitely stay again. In fact we are already planning our return!

This was our first time to Belize and we could not have picked a better place to stay Jose is an excellent host very according. He helped us with all our needs from transportation on the island to guided tours and the best places to eat. His son is amazing as well took us on a private trip snorkeling of the reef and shark alley! They made this one of the best vacations we've had. I highly recommend Jose's place I. Belize!

Jose was about a perfect a host as you can ask for, he was helpful whenever we asked and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The location is perfect and not too noisy, the house is comfortable and worth the cost. We will definitely be coming back!

Jose was very gracious to show us around and helpful in getting us lined up with a tour guide for snorkeling. House is right on the beach, perfect for dipping your toes in the sand or watching the sunrise from the pier right out front.

Jose was a fantastic host and his place was great. He picked us up and dropped us off at the Ferry terminal which was super helpful and even picked me out of the crowd on arrival from my Airbnb pic, which was way above and beyond. The place was very clean and had an awesome kitchen and bathroom. We had a great stay.

It's a small clean apartment that was quite intimate for a couple. Everything was within walking distance. Our advice would be sure to walk up & down the beach in BOTH directions. Also be sure to take a golf cart/ water taxi to "Rojo's" bar, as it's amazing!!! The only thing we would say is that I regret not bringing my apple tv (or a dvd player or something else) to watch movies. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything that we needed, like wine glasses, dishes, etc. There is no pictures of the bathroom but we thought it was great. Overall we really liked the apartment and will use it as a standard to compare any future places we go like this with airbnb.

This place is perfect. We arrived on the ferry, and as you are stepping onto the beach, you can see the building. It's literally a three-minute walk. The apartment is perfect, and it sits right above a bakery. A couple of doors down is a cigar and coffee shop. We bought coffee beans thirty minutes after they were roasted. It was a beautiful start to our mornings. We rented a golf cart, explored the island, swam with nurse sharks, went to the casino, ate at amazing restaurants and off street carts. This vacation was wonderful, and Javi's apartment is in a perfect location. :)

The neighbor hood was right in the middle of town. Candy the housecleaner popped up out of nowhere to greet me. It was clean and safe. Communication was excellent between Javi and myself. Thanks for hosting.

This was the perfect stay for the weekend. It's is very close to the water taxi. The apartment was very comfy! It's very modern! Super clean . Javi made it super easy for us. I will sure be back . Do not look further just stay with Javi. Xx Alec

We never actually met Javi but his house keeper was there waiting for us even though we were an hour late because of some issues with Tropic Air. (That was a whole another story) The only issue we had was a little bit of a language problem because she did not speak english. She lives in the next apartment and could not have been a nicer person as with just about everyone that we met in Belize. The apartment was very nice and even though you are right in the middle of everything it was extremely quiet and the AC worked great. the apartment was very cute and functional and clean. Previous to arriving Javi was very responsive to all my question and concerns to make our arrival and stay very pleasurable. We usually stay at a beach side area do yourself a favor and try something different and unique and stay at this lovely apartment. The beach is only 2 blocks away.

Javi's apartment is the perfect place for singles or couples looking to stay in the heart of San Pedro. We had a great time sampling all of the local cuisine and tourist hotspots. The air con and comfy bed made sleeping easy, was surprisingly quiet considering how close it is to the centre of town. No need to rent a golf cart, you can walk everywhere.

Javi was super nice, and made checking in effortless. It's not too hard to find his place, but there aren't many street signs. Just ask a local where pescador st is, and you'll be fine. There was fresh water and coffee inthe kitchen. The location was amazing, so central! We really liked that most places were only a 2-3 minute walk away. The rooms were super cold, it was great to come "home" to after the beach. Excellent value

My girlfriend and I decided to stay at Javi's place during a recent weekend escape to Belize, and we couldn't have asked for a much better experience. His apartment is smack in the middle of San Pedro, nicely furnished, modern, and secure (it's on the second floor, and there's a gate to get up stairs). Javi was quick to respond if we had questions and provided us with a great experience. Only complaint is there were sugar ants on the counters in the kitchen. But I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to a friend! Thanks Javi!

We had a wonderful time at Sapphire Resort! Everyone was helpful and friendly- they always went out of their way to say hello and make sure we had everything we wanted. Our condo was spotless and housekeeping did a great job tidying up. No Worries took us out for a full day adventure that was a highlight of our trip. Mario was a great host and was patient with our more inexperienced swimmers. The restaurant at the resort had some of the best food we had on the island- at excellent prices! The resort is about 45 minutes by golf cart from San Pedro, and the road is not paved all the the way, so it's a bit of an adventure... However, we loved being away from the hustle and bustle of town, and felt perfectly safe driving home after dark. I would absolutely go back! It was a great value, and our hosts, Anthony and Sophie, went above and beyond to help us when my traveling companion was injured and we had to change our dates. Sophie answered all of our questions quickly, fully and completely. It was such an easy trip! We were on the beach relaxing in no time! UnBelizeAble!

The description of the place was close to what we were expecting. Great that this place had free kayaks to use. Had minor issues with our room and the staff were responsive about fixing them. This resort is so far from town that it becomes expensive getting around. Buy a weekly boat pass because you will want to be in San Pedro. The best tours, restaurants and diving leave right from there.

Beautiful resort.

We loved our stay at sapphire resort in Anthony's apartment! The description matches the place. Everything was great! The grounds are beautiful and the apartment was clean and well kept and had everything we needed. The beach and pool area are so relaxing. Great communication both with resort and Anthony! The staff are the resort are incredible. They work very hard and are extremely nice and helpful. We asked if we could use the coconut that fall on the ground to drink and the staff so kindly sent a member out to climb the tree and get a fresh one and cut it open for us! We only ate at the restaurant a couple times but everything was good, just would add up in costs. We did tours with the on site tour company and they were great! Only draw back, and that's if you view it as a draw back, was this resort is so far out of the main town. We wanted to be out of town and loved that we were but the traveling to a from, whether by gulf cart or water taxi not only took a good bit of time but was expensive. We loved being secluded, just the traveling fees added up quick. Overall, great trip and would go back!

The staff at Sapphire was so very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the quiet afforded by our location and the views were lovely. Be sure to check in with No Worries for all your excursion needs - from diving/snorkeling to zip lining/Mayan temple tours. He's very helpful and knowledgeable and I'd recommend following his recommendations. I'd recommend a golf cart to make your trips off property easy.

Great place to stay if you want a secluded beach vacation! The pools are nice to have to get away from the heat, the onsite restaurant makes great penne pasta, and there are all kinds of great amenities like complimentary bike use and snorkel gear. The beach directly in front of the resort is kept up nicely, but the water right in front is not really swimmable. There is a short boat ride up to another resort that has good snorkeling and swimming. Overall a great experience!

We absolutely loved our stay at Sapphire. The accommodations were lovely and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Id return again in a heartbeat.

I think Craig really under-represents this place. It is fantastic. It's a group of condos known collectively as the Sapphire Beach Resort. During our stay, perhaps 25% of people there were owners and 75% renters. There is a front desk office, a concierge, a staff that cleans the rooms every day, a bar-tender, and restaurant, and multiple care-takers constantly raking, sweeping and tidying up. There is a security guard all night, though the island feels very safe. There's also a dive-shop with tour planner/guide, Hill, on-site, who helped us coordinate 1) a snorkeling three-stop tour; 2) A mainland tour of Mayan temple sites, zip-lining, and cave-tubing; and a guided spearfishing trip and beach BBQ (best meal on the island). The staff at Sapphire Bay were wonderfully attentive, and super-friendly. None of our needs went unmet. The place feels new and clean. We found it to be ideally located. It was close to 45 minutes to an hour north of town on a golf cart. We arrived after a rain and the road is subject to wear (not for the faint of heart, but safe). We felt like we were driving though ponds in places, but these roads are well traveled and not isolated (even at night). There are restaurants within a 20-30 minute jaunt on the cart (Rain, Portofino, Matachica, El Secreto, etc) and you can also drive north (weather and roads likely depending) up to Tranquility Bay to hang out for the day and visit their restaurant and or bar over the water where the reef comes close enough to snorkel out to. The reef at Sapphire Beach Resort is still a ways out. While it was accessible by kayak, once out, there was quite a current making it difficult to snorkel there. I guess there used to be a buoy to tie to, but not while we were there. Regardless, it was easy enough to head north to find good spots, or perhaps you can catch the tide just right. Only concern, which likely goes for everywhere in this area, is that they were constantly spraying the grounds and fumigating the air for insects (mosquitoes, scorpions, and sand flies) at least daily. I'm unsure of what chemicals they are using, but they sure use a lot of them. Again, this was true of everywhere we visited in this area. I can't recommend this place strongly enough. This may likely be the best value on the island. We found it to be the perfect location. Thank you Craig.

Our stay at Sapphire was incredibly relaxing. Craig was very informative and helpful. The condo was extremely clean and comfortable. The resort had a beautiful beach and wonderful staff. As people who live in a busy city we really appreciated being a little far from town in the peace and quiet. All in all just a great experience that we didn't want to end!

We couldn't have planned for a more perfect vacation! We intentionally set our vacation for this time of year because we knew it was the slow time there. We had the resort almost to ourselves most of the time. We also wanted to be a distance from town and it was approximately 10 miles but a very fun drive in the golf cart when we needed to go to town! The Air B&B photos very well describe exactly what we saw and experienced! The resort was very clean and well maintained. The beach is beautiful and this is even a few weeks after a hurricane. Craigs' home was just the same, well maintained and comfortable as well as in a perfect location looking down at the pools. The front air conditioner was not blowing out cold air but we had the one in the bedroom that worked well and as long as the door was open, it kept it very cool. Craig was very involved and communicated with us extremely well. I think what topped the trip off was the friendly and helpful staff. They were all so great - we feel like we got to know each one personally. They were informative about places for us to go, things to do and even where to buy groceries. We went to San Pedro on a few different days and were also happy to find the same with the people in town. We took a tour to Lamanai and also the snorkeling through the No Worries Tours at the resort and both were great experiences. Originally, we thought this might be a one time trip but after what we experienced - we would both do it again next year and stay in the same place! Thanks Craig for a great vacation!!

My wife and I went on our honeymoon to San Pedro and stayed at Sapphire Resort. I have nothing but great things to say. Craig was always helpful, the price was great, the condo is very nice and the resort was absolutely beautiful. My wife and I kept remarking to each other that the pictures on Airbnb didn't do the condo or the resort justice, absolutely beautiful. One thing we loved was sitting on the beach everynight and watching the pelicans dive for fish. The resort is about 10 miles north of San Pedro, which gave us the seclusion we wanted. We rented a golf cart when we wanted to go into town to a restaurant or whatever. I would go back in a heartbeat.

The place is beautiful, a bit far away from town but the ride is part of the experience. My friends and I rented a golf cart and had some much fun in every ride. Craig's appartment was gorgeus, clean and neat, very comfortable, in perfect conditions. The place has a beautiful beach and the view is amazing Also the staff was really helpful whenever we needed any kind of directions to town, or other activities, we got a local cellphone when we arrived for emergencies, didn't used it but it was a nice detail. Would definetly recommend it!

My husband and I had an amazing time at Craig's condo within the Sapphire Beach Resort! The unit was clean with beautiful views of the courtyard and swimming pools Relaxing on the beach hearing the sea lap upon the shore put us on island time immediately We totally loved the seclusion of Sapphire Beach. Access to San Pedro was just a terrific 20-30 min boat ride via a water taxi away for any night life or city fix one may want or need . We experienced a hot water issue upon arrival and between Craig and the wonderful staff at Sapphire the problem was rectified This is definitely a thumbs up experience and we hated to say goodbye. It provided us with the perfect time to unwind with beautiful walks on the beach and fishing off the docks. Sunbathing by the pools and reading. What more would you want? The staff at this location were fantastically helpful. There are great outings you can do from this location. We had a great stay.

The resort is very nice, the pictures are accurate and the staff is very friendly and always ready to help. The apartment has everything needed, the bed is very comfortable and the room was cleaned every day I was there. It has a TV but no cable, so it's for use with the DVDs provided at the office. Now I may not have been there at the best time of year: it was a few days after hurricane Earl had paid a visit and he didn't clean up after himself. The staff was actively working on the beach to restore its pristine beauty and crews were repairing the piers around the island. Not sure if it's due to the aforementioned Earl, but it took me a few tries to find a working ATM in town and the lines to authorize credit cards were down on a couple of occasions. Remember to bring cash, it's required for restaurant, bar and tours at the resort. On a funny side note (retrospectively), I rented a gold cart, it broke down after a couple of miles; I used the complimentary shuttle to go back to town upon my departure, the transmission broke. What worked well is the complimentary bikes, it's good for a workout to San Pedro: 10 miles to town on a half dirt, half concrete road, along with a few iguanas running around although it's not a very scenic ride. It is a fairly isolated resort on the coast, so it's best enjoyed if you're looking for solitude and away from the crowds, with a very friendly staff and a sense of community with the few guests around.

This was an unbelievable vacation. Great pool. There is no beach- it is a retaining wall. Still beautiful. Worked for us, someone else may be disappointed. We were always out and about. Very clean, good service, overall the staff was incredible. Incredible views, best food we have had. We were disappointed that the pool bar was under construction and we did not know. We got over it, but I feel like the resort could have at least thrown in a free drink for the drilling/constant work over the pool. It is a beautiful place. Off the beaten path, incredibly relaxing, perfection in a lot of ways.

Tuff n nuff tours onsite was great. The snorkeling at Mexico Rock was the best we have experienced. Great vacation, highly recommend the resort!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Costa Blu on our honeymoon! Although our room was not the same room featured in the pictures we still had a great view. We loved the facility and the staff was amazing. The food was good but some items were a a little on the pricey side. We enjoyed the atmosphere and local dishes in town but the $32 round trip fair for two ( $8 each way pp) was costly and many evenings we wished we were closer to the action. Especially since the last water taxi runs at 10:30. However our days sitting on the beach and by the pool were beautiful and wonderfully relaxing. :)

Loved my stay here. Could not be a more beautiful setting. To be clear though, it's a resort, not a B&B or home. Staff could not have been nicer. Such a relaxing experience.

The room (3rd floor, room 1) was quiet and clean and the beds were wonderful. Luis is fantastic and attended to our requests in a timely manner. There was a place to rent a golf cart right next door and a yummy bakery a block away. I liked no be no right in he center of town. 10/10 would stay again.

Our stay at the Hummingbird Suites was great! The room is large and equipped with great air conditioning. The beds are comfortable, and it was nice to have a TV with cable, too. Really friendly service, and for a great value. The neighborhood has a lot of great beaches nearby, and some good restaurants as well. It's not too far from downtown, but nicely situated on a more quiet end of town. We would definitely recommend staying here!

When we got to the place I was in love with the color of the building. Overall the place was GREAT! It's a good 10 min drive to downtown San Pedro so it wasn't bad. The room was very clean but when I lifted my cover there was a stain on the sheet. I just slept on the other side of the bed because it wasn't a big deal. It's very quiet, they are very responsive & helpful. I will only stay here when visiting from now on.

We enjoyed a 3 week stay here in January. The room is exactly as pictured - spacious and spotless, with nice little touches like a fridge and microwave too. The building manager, Luis, is a lovely guy and accommodating in every way. The location is decent; bear in mind you will probably need to hire a golf cart to get around the island if you are staying for more than a few days. On that note, it's worth shopping around for a deal - the hire place next door were asking USD350 for 5 days, we managed to get the same cart for USD200 at a place called Pollo's Rentals at the end of Front Street!

My stay was great...Luis and Dilcia were both really helpful and made my stay comfortable. I will be recommending this place to family and friends.

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Daydreamin'! Even though we were only there two nights, it was the perfect relaxing and romantic getaway. We loved all of the little details that Mar & Rob put in to making our stay special, from the flowers on the bed, to the beautifully laid out breakfast each morning and the regular access to coffee from Marbucks. Mar & Rob were fantastic hosts, they were very attentive to our needs and helpful in arranging a snorkeling outing for us, which was also a highlight of our time there. The cabana was exactly as pictured, as were the grounds. Being only steps away from Marbucks was also fantastic, we loved the variety of coffee, smoothies, beer and wine that they served. For us, being on the north part of the island was perfect, it was very quiet and relaxing while still being very easy to reach by either taxi or golf cart. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend Daydreamin' to anyone. We hope to make it back sometime soon!

Beautiful. Every positive review about this location, is well deserved. The location was perfect. Slightly removed from the center of town but close to restaurants and dive shops. Every morning we were treated to breakfast at our private table. The food was delicious, and the coffee superb. A better latte cannot be found. We were thoroughly spoiled during our stay. Rob and Mar are wonderful and anticipate anything you can need from golf cart rentals to recommendations.

Our experience at the Daydreamin' Bed & Breakfast with Mar and Rob was nothing short of PHENOMENAL. They were 110% accommodating from the moment we booked the trip, before we even arrived, until the moment we departed the island. First, they were always available and willing to answer questions and concerns. We always received feedback in a very timely manner. When we wanted dinner, excursion, activity, etc. recommendations they were beyond excited to offer their expertise. They were always present on the cabana grounds to take care of all of our needs. Second, all of the excursions and accommodations they arranged for us were simply amazing. Also, very cost effective. The different individuals that they work with helped us to thoroughly enjoy our time on the island. (Snorkeling, golf cart rentals, 5 course chef's table dinners, Laminai Mayan ruin tours, flights to and from the island, etc) Third, the cabanas are gorgeous. They are clean, private and offer any amenity you could ever need. We even received a complimentary upgrade to a king sized suite with a better view due to the cabana we reserved initially not being available ( the guests before us extended their stay). The dipping pool was well kept and a very refreshing luxury for us to use. Fourth, the breakfast! Mar prepared fresh, tasty breakfasts every morning that we got to choose from a limited menu provided. We LOVED the lemon ricotta pancakes with fresh blueberry topping. Not to mention, Marbuck's coffee is located on the premises only a few steps away from the cabanas. Fifth, Thursday night wine & appetizer night! Mar and Rob put on a wonderful social gathering on Thursday nights with live music, wine sold by the glass and complementary appetizers. Sixth, LOCATION! Located on the northern, quieter part of the island.. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect location. Had it not been for our planned excursions, we would have never had to leave. Our favorite bar (The Palapa Bar) was just 100 yards away. Lastly, the additional staff at the cabanas were amazing. Always very nice and helpful. Overnight , there's a security guard which put to rest if we had any safety concerns. (We went out in the rain one night and he even took off his jacket and offered it to us to borrow for our walk) Bottom line, our time at Mar and Rob's couldn't have gone any better. We were welcomed with open arms and given the most sincere goodbyes. (Rob drove us to the airport on his personal golf cart on the last day so we didn't have to get a taxi) we truly felt like family here and cannot wait to come back for many visits in the future!

From the moment our taxi pulled up to Daydreamin' Rob and Mar made us feel right at home. Their B&B is in a great location, a 2 minute walk to the beach, near lots of fun restaurants, and away from the noise of San Pedro. Obviously the photos of the Cabanas and pool show how gorgeous this place is, but what you can't tell from the photos is how unique an experience it is to stay here and the neat little community that you are brought into. In addition to the Cabanas, their "Marbucks" coffee shop is a local favourite with great coffee, breakfast, snacks, drinks etc. You can get a great feel for life on the island by relaxing by the pool and chatting with people as they come to visit. Rob and Mar have great stories about their journey from their previous lives in Canada to this new adventure of running a B&B in Belize. Excursions out into the water are easily accessible as the local guides picked us up right from the dock at the beach. Rob even picked fresh aloe from his garden to help soothe my little sunburnt spots. Staying here was one of the highlights of our trip to Belize and we were very sad to leave. Seriously, carve out some time on your vacation to stay here!

Very clean, comfortable and nice place to stay. Each of the cabins are beautiful and situated around a lovely patio. Breakfasts are amazing with fantastic coffee and delicious food. Rob & Mar were so welcoming and helpful, I definitely recommend staying here. The place was ideally situated for being close to San Pedro for restaurants and activities but far enough away to have some peace and relaxation time.

Rob and Mars place is in a great, quiet location, with many restaurants within walking distances. Rob was particularly helpful with arranging things such as snorkelling and golf carts and restaurants for us. Great coffee.,,,, Breakfast was good, its a small place with 4 really cute rooms, lots of towels, no swimming pool but its a close walk to the beach. However, they should be providing free refills of coffee and water etc at this price.

Room was clean, Sandbar Hostel was right on the beach, and the room had a shared balcony. Brittney was very helpful and very responsive. Room comfortably fit 3 people.

Enjoyed our stay at the Sandbar. Fantastic location, just as described, right on the beach. Great view from the private rooms. Loved relaxing on the balcony! Good basic private room with working A/C. Bathroom and room were clean but floor required shoes at all times. Wifi is not reliable. The bar downstairs is wonderful with great bar tenders (not great food) but hostel staff is not as welcoming as the folks on the rest of the island. Would recommend the Sandbar to others looking for a great view and convenient location.

Great spot on Ambergris Caye. Listed in a fun part of the island, lots happening around but not overly loud late at night. Bartenders are super friendly and welcoming - Armando and Hector will make you feel right at home. Pizza is great too. All around wonderful spot for a trip to the island.

Brittney and David run a great place with great staff. You're literally steps from the ocean. Bar is great. Room worked perfectly and had cold AC. No complaints!

The hostel is a great spot. The room is basic but clean and perfect for what I needed. There is a lot of construction on island after the hurricane, so sleeping in wasn't an option... but what can you do?The bar and restaurant downstairs were low key and had a great pizza and 2-for-1 rum happy hour. I'd definitely recommend staying at Sandbar!

Great location in San Pedro, with easy access to lots of activities and restaurants. Comfortable room with everything needed fo a comfortable stay, and hard to beat beach and ocean views. You can even watch the sundown from the back balcony!

The Palapal House was great! We originally were staying in unit 6 but due to a water pressure issue we were moved into unit 2. Unit 2 was very spacious and clean. The location is right next to downtown and across from the famous Palapal Bar. The ocean is right outside your door and the pool is lovely! Shane was very attentive and helpful. I would definitley recommend staying here.

The location was perfect and we had a gorgeous view! It is right on the beach!!!! The room was well equipped and beautiful. We loved that it was close to restaurants, shops, and grocery stores. The Palapa House Bar and Grill was fun especially the inner tube bar:). We went snorkeling, paddle boarding, and rode our bikes all over the caye. Ron was super easy to communicate with, and check in and out was a breeze! We would definitely stay there again and whole heartedly recommended it:)

This is a great place to stay during your visit to San Pedro. Its not right in the middle of everything but close enough to get back and forth. If you rent a golf cart, its even better. Frank is an awesome host, I couldn't have asked for a better one. He is friendly and has a big heart and will do what he can for his renters. The studio rooms have everything you need. A great backyard with a nice pool and lounge area. With the Yoga on the roof top, its a great addition if you want to join in. If I make it back to San Pedro, I would go back here for sure to stay.

Frank's place was great. It's on the quieter side of town, just a short trip from the airport. We were delighted when Frank helped us with a taxi to get to his place straight from our previous stay. We were even more delighted when we were greeted with a loaded fridge. Beers, coke, Fanta etc. Frank is very knowledgeable about the area and the description was very accurate. The free bikes were loads of fun, a little gnarly from the wind and sand, but a welcome alternative to overpriced golf carts The pool was great but the pool area was a little unloved. I didn't get to attend any Yoga because it was Easter, but the upstairs area was an amazing place to exercise with a beautiful breeze. I'd stay here again

Frank is THE BEST! His rooms are marvelous. He includes everything you would need to feel at home, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, coffee and coffee maker, fresh fruit and blender for smoothies, towels for the beach and showering, snacks, drinks, aloe (which was a pure gift from the gods with the sun burn I had acquired that day!), he has really thought it all out and it shows and was much appreciated! Frank will help you out if you need to book any tours or want suggestions for where to go or eat around San Pedro, everything he suggested and helped us with was perfect. Thank you again Frank! :)

I really enjoyed my stay an Zen Belize! The room was quite large and had everything you might need in a stay. Beyond that Frank has other lovely amenities, he has the room stocked with no charge drinks and snacks which made breakfast easy. The open terrace roof on the third floor was breezy and wonderful as well. During the week there are yoga and other workout classes there. Frank was really the stand-out though from start to finish he was an attentive and kind host. He arranged to have someone meet me at the ferry which was a short way away from the property. After hearing my interests while in San Pedro he helped me make arrangements with a local dive group. Additionally if you want to rent a golf cart to get to secret beach he arranges it so it is delivered to the property and you can drop it off there to be picked up as well. My favorite? Frank cuts up fruit every few days and gives you a pack of watermelon or pineapple for your freezer to make smoothies with the blender. He even shared a chia and flax seed mix for it. I've never had an AirBNB host go so above and beyond!

We had a nice time at Frank's place. The room we had was comfy and came with lots of free snacks (cereal, drinks, popcorn, juice, etc), which was a bonus. We also had two free bikes for use. Frank's place is a bit outside the main town, which is nice because town is crazy and noisy and dusty. You do hear occasional planes from the nearby airport and barking from the dogs at the human society across the street but the AC and fan in the room drowned out any noise issues for us. The AC was good, which is not always the case in Belize. The pool was under repair when we were there but looks nice. The free yoga class was great too. Frank is a GREAT host and I feel like he will honestly do everything in his power to make sure his guests are happy. Bring bug spray for the evenings.

I loved the open air yoga deck and being literally a skip through a beautiful walkway to the beach. The dogs were comforting for me but noisy. Also it is very noisy in the morning from being so close to tropic air. The complimentary snorkel gear and treats in the room were nice to have. It is an amazing location in the middle of everything. Check out Robins, he has Amazing food and the best personality and the breakfast next to Scooby doo groomers.

Comfortable clean space with everything you need. Close to town- excellent place to stay for your visit.
