  • Liz is a great host! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Great value for money. Location was perfect. Good choice of transportation links both bus and train. Plus, a big 24hr Asda and petrol station just round the corner, very handy! The house is very spacious, exceptionally clean, modern and well kept. Overall, definitely the best airbnb experience I've had thus far.

The local shops including a One Stop convenience store and a chemist are within about 5 minutes, and the village has two public houses, a bar, Indian, Chinese and Italian restaurants, three cafes and tennis and bowls clubs. Little Saltspring is located in a quiet residential cul de sac. The city of Brighton is a "must see" visit for many guests. It is within easy reach by train, bus or car. Getting around Brighton is simple as it is a compact city and easy to explore on foot or public transport. Make time to visit the city villages too including Hove; famous for its colourful beach huts & Regency architecture, and Rottingdean, a picturesque, traditional English village. Discover Brighton attractions such as the Brighton Pier, the Royal Pavilion and the innovative British Airways i360. The city is also home to a cornucopia of cultural delights as well as big name shops and hundreds of independent boutiques. There are many award-winning restaurants in Brighton & Hove catering for all tastes from classic fish 'n' chips to creative vegetarian restaurants and even a zero waste restaurant. https://www.visitbrighton.com/things-to-do Another famous town to visit is Arundel, about 15 minutes away by car. This historic West Sussex market town is most well-known for its 11th Century Arundel Castle and stunning Victorian gothic cathedral, but great days out in Arundel don’t have to stop at a visit to these historic attractions. Explore more of the area's rich history and heritage at Arundel Museum, St Nicholas Church and nearby Amberley Museum and discover Arundel from a different perspective at Arundel Jailhouse and Ghost Experience! There's a great choice of guided walks with different options hosted by qualified Blue Badge Guides, Arundel Museum or Arundel Walking Tours - this is a great way to really understand the history of the whole town. Foodies are spoilt for choice in Arundel, with cafes, bars, restaurants and some great traditional English pubs too - just a small remnant of the 30 or so that used to serve the population in this once busy riverside port. Art and antique lovers will be happy at one of Arundel’s superb galleries and the treasure troves of antiques and collectables, If shopping is your 'bag' then the wide range of contemporary and traditional independent shops is impressive for such a small town and is sure to include something perfect just for you. For water and nature lovers, the rowing boats at Swanbourne Lake, boat trips on the River Arun and the Boat Safaris at Arundel Wetland Centre, are a great way to relax, admire the wildlife and while away a few hours in glorious surroundings. There are other ways to get active and explore the local countryside. Discover how to walk, cycle and ride in the area, especially as Arundel is one of the gateways to the South Downs National Park. For golfers, there's the nearby Hilton Avisford Park Golf Course a putting green and tennis courts at Mill Road Leisure and Café and swimmers can enjoy a few laps in Arundel’s popular outdoor Lido. And, for those who enjoy a flutter on the races, Fontwell Park Racecourse is nearby. Arundel's what's on calendar is also full of fantastic arts, theatre, music and cultural events including the world famous Arundel Festival and Arundel by Candlelight, and there are even more town events to be found at the town's own Events Diary. See http://www.arundel.org.uk/attractions A visit to nearby Littlehampton on the River Arun is also somewhere guests will find interesting. It is 10 minutes away by car or you can take the 700 bus. Home to superb sandy award-winning beaches, a bustling marina and harbour and stunning contemporary architecture, Littlehampton, Sussex on England's sunny south coast is both the perfect place to enjoy a fun family holiday and take time out to relax. The attractions of this seaside town include the famously unusual East Beach Café (named one of The Times' 20 best places to eat by the beach in 2013), Harbour Park and the unique seafront Long Bench, and it's engraved messages. Why not book a message for yourself or a loved one? The Littlehampton Ferry will transport you between East and West Beaches during the summer months to the West Beach Local Nature Reserve – a Site of Special Scientific Interest. You can enjoy sailing, diving and fishing on the River Arun or simply take in the views from a waterside restaurant or café. Many of Littlehampton’s annual events take place on the seafront or around the harbour including the summer Carnival and spectacular Bonfire and Fireworks event in October. In fact, there are so many things to do, you’ll definitely want to stay for longer! Take a look at the Accessible Sussex by the Sea page if accessibility information and guidance is required. http://www.sussexbythesea.com/littlehampton

    Rustington, England, United Kingdom

The cottage is located in the seaside town of Rustington (West Sussex). The cottage is a separate dwelling from the main house, with private entrance, patio and parking space. Downstairs the cottage consists of an open plan living space with fully integrated kitchen, dining area, lounge area with sofa bed. Upstairs is the bedroom and separate bathroom with an overhead shower.
The kitchen has an oven, microwave, fridge and washing machine. The stairs have a turn and are a little narrow. The bedroom is in the eaves of the room, so there is a slopping ceiling giving great character (but mind your head!) We have listed the property as suitable for 2 guests, but there is a sofa bed downstairs and we also have ‘z bed’ for children, if needed. A £20 a night charge for each additional person will be added for each booking of more than 2 guests.
Rustington is a small, thriving seaside town with many eating places - coffee shops, Indian, Thai, Italian and a Tapas bar. The cottage is situated in the centre of the town, and local shops are just a two minute walk. The cottage is a ten minute walk to a lovely beach, where there is the opportunity for long beach walks. There are two local pubs in Rustington, and a gastro pub in the village of Angmering (2 miles). Littlehampton (2 miles)is a thriving fishing town with a busy river - fishing trips, recreational trips, and the famous (award winning) East Beach Cafe. Rustington is also an excellent base for visiting the historic town of Arundel with its cathedral and castle. Chichester is just a 30 minute drive and has a lovely shopping area and Cathedral. Brighton is a 40 minute drive (or 30 minute train) to enjoy the famous Lanes for shopping and eating. The South Downs National Park is just north of Rustington with access at various points within a 7 mile radius. There are numerous opportunities for walking, running and mountain biking. There are two excellent golf courses within 3 miles, one parkland and one Links. There is a new sports complex on the sea front, The Wave, with a new pool, children’s pool, fitness suite and sports hall.
  • A perfect property with parking and excellent facilities. Ideal location. Easy walk to beach and on the main high street for shop access. Good sized tv and everything you need as described .

I found parking easily outside the flat every night and made the most of the area by going for runs along the seafront - it’s just down the road. Try the Thai recommended locally - delicious.

  • Amazing accommodation. Sparkling clean, beautiful apartment. Both curt and Myles made us both feel welcome in their lovely home. Amazing value for money and set in a wonderful location. Well done guys, we will be back.

  • Curt and Myles are very gracious hosts. We had a great guidance and welcome to their place. The flat is very stylish in black and white and spotlessly clean. We had use of the kitchen and we could have shared the living room space with them, had we wanted to. The bedroom is spacious enough and has a very nice bed and very nice comfortable, just right, pillows - we do not find this very often. The bathroom is also spacious and has a great walk-in shower with waterfall and hand-held showers. It is practically around the corner from a High Street with plenty shops and some good restaurants - the Lemongrass is a delicious Thai (strongly recommend booking), as is the Honeypot Cafe for breakfast. The flat is about 10-15 mins walk from the beach. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Curt, and thank you, Myles.

Jason's house is one of the few places where the photos on Airbnb show exactly what it looks like in reality. It's a great location, a very short walk to get the beach and there is a nice pub, fish'n'chips, pizza, and other places to eat literally round the corner. Best Regards, Ralf

Seaview enjoys one of the best coastal locations in West Sussex. Sitting behind the popular greensward it offers fine views straight out to sea. All of the main rooms face out to sea along a piece of coastline that attracts visitors and walkers all year round. The house is literally 26 metres from the beach and enjoys such a great setting. It is nicely presented with a large reception area and two conservatories to enjoy. There are two upstairs bedrooms both fitted with king sized double beds and with fantastic views out to sea. The main bedroom also has the benefit of a small balcony as well. There is a family bathroom upstairs with a shower fitted above the bath. Downstairs there is a separate bedroom suite fitted with twin beds. This room as an ensuite shower room with large shower cubicle. The house enjoys a private setting with an enclosed patio garden ideal for outdoor dining. There is also a raised garden area that offers a lovely view across the grass and out to sea.The house is 0.5 miles from Rustington village centre where there is a nice choice of restaurants, pubs and coffee houses. There is also a Waitrose store for any necessary provisions. Two miles to the west along the coast is Littlehampton with its popular beaches on either side of the River Arun estuary. From here there are boat trips that can be taken along the coast.A charge of £25.00 per stay or per week, whichever is shorter, will be made for each dog (guide dogs for the blind and registered assistance dogs excepted). Please let us know if you will be bringing a dog with you so that we can add the additional cost onto the booking. This property will accept a maximum of two dogs.
It is rare to find a house this close to the sea. Sitting immediately behind the Greensward that runs between Worthing and Littlehampton, this house enjoys a prime setting. The Greensward is always popular with walkers throughout the year and for that reason this house is very much pet friendly as well.
Rustington is a bustling seaside village, which feels as if there is activity without feeling in any way over run. The centre of the village is a half mile walk from Seaview where there is a choice of restaurants, coffee house and local pubs. There is also a nice range of small and independent shops along its main high street.
  • We stayed in this beautiful house with the magnificent sea view for 5 days in February. The first day we woke up in our master bedroom upstairs and enjoyed the beautiful sea soundscape, which was very relaxing. It was unique to go for a walk during the ebb collecting stones and mussels. We could recommend to bring waterproof shoes or better rubber boots with you - and if you come with children even several pairs for them and outerwear to be able to change. Our children (11 and 13) enjoyed a lot to be at the seaside by their own, but they came back every time wet. During our stay we visited the Royal Pavilion in Brighton and lernt a lot about the Georg IV who was the uncle of Queen Victoria. In Brighton we can also recommend the Jazz club The Paris House with every day live music events. It takes you about 2 hours to go to London, which is feasible, but looking back we wouldn't do it again as there are so many other nice places to visit not that far away from Rustington. We wished we could stay longer!

Rustington village has everything for eating out and in with three banks and 10 mins from seafront leading to Littlehampton ex fishing village. • Loved my stay, me and my dog, at a difficult time, the place was perfect, and really wanted to stay another day, would love to come back, and highly recommend! Right near the beach, and the town, and a really homely warm place to be!

  • Lovely accommodation with all the things you need for a comfortable short break. The property is about 10mins walk to the beach and local shops and is in a very quiet location. Joanne is a thoughtful host and provides some basic food provisions to help you settle in.

  • This is a really sweet little cottage just a half mile or so from the beach. It manages to pack into the space pretty much everything you need for a short or medium stay. It was really beautifully clean, private, tidy, comfortable and uncluttered. Joanne was friendly, provided all sorts of thoughtful touches and answered all my questions promptly. I couldn't possibly have asked for more.

    Catherine2019-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place, even better than described. Everything you could possibly need has been thought of. Great location and would very happily stay again.

Within a short drive are large supermarkets including Waitrose (Rustington), Asda, and Sainsbury’s. In addition to the local village restaurants, there are highly rated traditional English pub/restaurants in Patching (World’s End), Arundel (The Rabbit), Littlehampton (East Beach Cafe), Royal Oak (Fulking) – all within 10-20 minutes drive. East Preston is superbly located for very easy access (by car – all within 20-30 minutes drive) to many well known towns and family-friendly amenities on the beautiful Sussex coast, including neighbouring historic Arundel (castle), Littlehampton (2 miles ), Brighton , Chichester , Goodwood, Petworth, Storrington, Steyning and Upper Beeding. Staying closer to ‘home’, the local beach is quiet and clean and makes a lovely place for a relaxing family day out. A delightful, well-proportioned house which is full of character and great for seaside breaks and family get-togethers. With only 60 seconds' walk to the wide-open, uncrowded beach and 4 mins walk to the restaurants, cafes, convenience stores and pubs in the friendly local village, this detached (4 double bedroom house) in the exclusive Angmering-on-sea estate is a South Coast treasure for those seeking some quality time together. We love it here and hope you will too!
The Anchorage has 3 reception rooms and 4 double bedrooms (one of which is en-suite) with off-street parking at the front and a spacious pebble garden at the rear. There is a downstairs shower room which is handy when guests return wet and sandy from the beach and a utility area with separate washer and dryer. There is also an external boiler room which can be used to store wetsuits (which are not particularly needed in the mid-late summer on the south coast!). There is a big selection of board games in the house for hours of indoor fun.
The Angmering-on-sea estate is a lovely private estate which was built originally as a garden village on the south coast and forms part of East Preston village which has Angmering rail station with direct links to Brighton, Portsmouth, Gatwick airport and London. It's located right on the coast - east of Littlehampton/ Rustington and west of Worthing/Goring. It's a lovely neighbourhood with very friendly residents who enjoy time on the beach or on the long glorious walks west and east along the seaside which are a favourite with everyone (dogs love them too!). Just outside the estate (and only a few mins walk from The Anchorage) there are several pubs, restaurants, cafes, takeaways and convenience stores (all in the plural!). Also, West Sussex has lots to offer and many attractions are only a short drive, rail or bus journey away. Examples of attractions within 30 mins drive include Arundel Castle, the Goodwood estate and Worthing esplanade and pier. With all it's glory, Brighton takes a little longer to drive to although lots of trains go there directly. You can even visit the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard by train or by car in about 45 mins.
  • You will not be disappointed

  • 6 of us have just returned from a short stay at the Anchorage. The house is perfect for a family or group of friends at any time of year, it’s so well equipped and very comfortable. Clive and Lara are very kind and communication was excellent. They even left a lovely note and some much appreciated ‘refreshment’ for when we arrived. This truly is a perfect place to stay.

    Pauline2019-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Anchorage was the perfect place to stay. Its location is pretty much on the beach, and despite the weather not being great, we had an amazing time roaming the beach. The house is beautiful, it has made me dream of having a place just like it. A great home for a family to stay in, lots of games and space for everyone. Excellent a hosts with lots of really thoughtful touches. We would hugely recommend it.

    Lorna2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was perfect. Very clean, ideal for a group as we were, everything you could ask for. Close to beach, coffee, tea, washing powder. Little touches wine and biscuits and card welcoming us. Close to supermarkets. A really friendly pub Seaview walking distance great food. Some take away places. Hosts were very quick with responses to questions and plenty of information given before and upon arrival. We stayed for Goodwood and found it no problem getting to and from with car. Close to lots of attractions, beaches seaside towns. Highly recommend

  • Anchorage is the ideal property and venue for friends and family breaks. Very peaceful and just two minutes walk to a lovely, quiet beach and safe bathing. Lots of interesting places to visit close by and plenty of pubs and eateries in the area. The house and garden are perfect in every way. We went for a family get together with our children and grandchildren and had the most amazing time. Luckily the weather was gorgeous but there are loads of board games to play indoors on a rainy day or family time in the evenings. Lara and Clive provide everything you need and we were delighted to have some cold beers in the fridge, a bottle of wine, a full fruit bowl and even some sweets for the children, waiting for us. Thank you Lara and Clive for a fab holiday and being the perfect hosts. We will definitely be returning next year!

New holiday let opened in 2019 and further amenities added for 2020. Petit Palm is very popular and has been receiving great reviews. It is situated in Rustington Village which has a good range of shops, some great places for breakfast, and a few nice restaurants and bars. The property is a short walk to beautiful Rustington beach (10-12 mins walk). Arundel and Goodwood are easily accessible as are Brighton and Portsmouth. Great location for the South Downs as well. We are dog friendly too.
The small bungalow holiday let (sleeps up to 6) consists of 2 double bedrooms, ensuite to main bedroom, separate bathroom with bath and overhead rainfall shower and a bright and spacious living space with sofa bed (sleeps 2 comfortably) and dining facilities (table extends for 6 guests). Range cooker, washing machine, dishwasher and refrigerator are available along with microwave, toaster, iron and kettle. There is also a small enclosed and private garden with outdoor seating and barbecue; perfect for breakfast in the garden in the sunshine or a drink in the evening after a day on the beach or visiting local attractions. The bungalow has WiFi, television and a DVD player. Bed linen and towels are provided. Off road parking is available at the property.
The bungalow is easy walking distance to the beach (0.6mile), shops are 300m walk. Rustington village is beautiful, it has a wide selection of local shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. East Preston, Ferring and other small local villages are great for fabulous eateries and bars.

  • Check in was easy using the key safe, the bungalow was immaculate with great attention to detail. Amanda came to see us as I’d asked a question but otherwise left us to it. Perfect location for both the village and the beach, would definitely stay again.

  • Really enjoyed our stay in Petit Palm, it was spotlessly clean upon arrival and feels very modern and spacious. Everything works well, heating, showers and the large range cooker - Perfect for a family of 4 with small children. We used it as a base to visit Butlin’s during February half term. The beach is a 10 minute walk away which is sandy when the tide is out. The local shops including Waitrose are a 3 minute walk away which makes everything so easy. Definitely recommend staying here if in the area and we plan to return.

    Matthew2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage with all modern and high spec amenities. There is a beach at the end of the road, or within a short drive to the Littlehampton one, where one's being able to park at (and go to) East Beach Cafe. Waitrose and Domino's nearby make it easy to cook / have take aways in, and Establo Lounge within 2 min walk from the cottage is a perfect cafe for brunches. Amanda is a caring and accommodating host, and communication was perfect all along.

    Maria2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend Petite Palm. The accommodation is tastefully decorated in neutral tones with wooden floors. Fabulous en-suite and bathroom. The kitchen has all you need to cook and prepare food with. I particularly liked cooking on the Aga type double oven. So pleased our dog could stay too. He had some lovely walks along the shingle beach and by the sandy shoreline when the tide went out. Rustington town is only a 10-15 min walk where you can purchase your food or pop in one of the cafes. Amanda is a friendly and helpful host. We would stay again.

    Caroline2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant little cottage which is bigger inside than out! Very well equipped and modern stylish bathrooms and very clean. Great little garden which is secure so pup couldn’t escape. Amanda is friendly and helpful and look forward to visiting again soon.

Set at the end of a quiet and private little lane in South Ferring, a ten minute amble to the beaches, 5 minutes stroll from a pub, local shops and darn good curry house! Further afield, The South Downs, Brighton, Arundel and Chichester all within half hour drive. Public transport is reliable and frequent - bus and train routes close by.
You would be very welcome to use the garden if you need fresh air, the sun - or rain - on your face, the wind in your hair ... or to smoke! Should you need to use the kitchen to prepare/cook food please state at booking and give approx time needed so that I can make myself scarce!
Ferring Village is a charming little place nestled in between a lot of beautiful countryside and beach. It is peaceful but life and action is not far away ... Worthing town no more than a 15 minute drive away and Brighton, Chichester and London are easily reached too.
  • A lovely lady, Claire couldn't have been more hospitable towards me or my dog Flora, who took to her straight away. So we had a great overnight stay in an ideal location, minutes from the beach and wonderfully quiet. Enormous bedroom and very comfortable bed.

  • We were lucky enough to spend our Christmas at Bushby Avenue. James made our stay so special with amazing festive touches like mince pies, bread, Prosecco and more. He also decorated with a Christmas tree and festive decor throughout the house. The place was spacious and perfect for the needs of all seven guests. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We loved having a wood fire - and the whole experience was just magical. There is plenty of parking space and the house is located really close to a Waitrose which was really handy. We loved the house so much we didn’t really explore the local area but James left us many brochures and leaflets in case we wanted to. We loved having both a tv room and a living room. It allowed us so much room to spend time together but also for people not to feel crowded. We have returned from our trip feeling rested and having made wonderful memories. We highly recommend the property and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

  • 3 Bushby house, is a dream place ! The property is located on a private estate, which looks like Whisteria Lane in Desperate Housewives, very friendly neighbours. We spent our stay in a five star home, well furbished like a show house, a decoration magazine, at the same time very cosy. ... the carpet is soft, the towels and linens are top quality, great kitchen for family meals, large garden with BBQ, a TV room with toys for the kids, DVDs and player ... we could not hope for a better place. At first we thought about renting a house in Brighton, but we are glad we chose Rustington as it is more central to visit Brighton and at the same time Porstmouth (navy museum : many ships and a submarine to visit), Marwell Zoo, Beaulieu (motor museum), Arundel (fabulous castle and gardens) and Bird reserve. There is a Waitrose supermarket just behind the house, plus WHsmith, a frozen meals shop and a sweet shop walking distance. The beach is also walking distance. (Be aware that parking in Brighton is very expensive : I paid 32 pounds for 5 hours at NCP carpark when we visited SeaLife and Brighton Pier). James was very helpful, as he had gathered many tourist information about the surroundings : events : festivals , Circus and Lego workshop for the kids / shops and restaurants nearby / places of interest ... As we arrived late, he had provided dinner and breakfast for us in the fridge with wine and beer ! He was also always responsive to our queries (eg : where to have the best Sunday roast). We could not hope for any better. Many thanks for this fabulous stay.

  • Stunning house. A large garden with fantastic flow in and out... Large bedrooms, really well set up with everything you could possibly need. Super close to the beach and the local town (literally a 1 min walk) which has all the things you'll need. Spent way more time at the house than planned as it was so nice and spacious... Recommend this place a lot!!

  • We had a wonderful stay at Emma’s house. The pictures don’t do the house justice, it’s a lovely property with everything you need. Perfect location for a relaxing seaside stay.

Light and airy fully fitted bedroom in an upstairs loft conversion. There is small bedroom next door which could accommodate a further guest or child. Between the rooms is your own bathroom. There is work in progress to the property and garden. Latest small natural pond project is well underway, in fact newts and frogs have already moved in and birds have planted some flowers. I did do the rockery/paving! Sea and countryside are a 15 min. walk. The South Downs are close, 10 mins. by car.
There is a conservatory recently added to the property. The kitchen has ample fridge and freezer space if needed and there is a large range cooker if you want to do a bit of self catering, although there are good restaurants and takeaways locally offering a wide range of cuisine.
On the 15/20 min walk to the sea you will pass several cafes offering full breakfasts, lunches or just tea and cakes. There are also 3 pubs in the same area, one 2 mins from the beach.
  • Richard welcomed us on arrival and showed us the rooms and all around. He was available all the time. everything was as described. He is highly recommended

  • Richards house is well located, with ample parking and close to local amenities. Richard was very helpful and quick with online responses. Richard house is great value for money.
