French Restaurant

“Lined with restaurants, bistros, cafés, bars, bakeries, stores (fish, cheese shops, wine, fruits and vegetables) shops, rue Montorgueil is one of the famous places in Paris, where Parisians like to have a drink after work”

“Every self-respecting Parisian shops at this temple for new brands and vintage! There are so many rooms, each with interesting decor like wooden logs stacked next to sweaters and telephone receivers hanging from the ceiling. It’s all well organized, too: Scarves are tied to poles, plaid shirts are rolled in baskets, and denim is folded on shelves. Go straight to the back for high-waisted leather pants, Levi’s jackets, or 501 shorts for the summer. Anything used is marked with a black tag.”

French Restaurant

“Half market, half heavenly food shop strip, the pedestrianised Rue Montorgueil heaves with flower vendors, rôtisseries, alluring bakeries and fragrant cheese shops. As you browse your way along, you might stop in for a hot chocolate at Charles Chocolatier, a pastry at Stohrer (the oldest pâtisserie in Paris, with a particularly beautiful ceiling), some strawberries from the fruit and veg stalls, shellfish from the fishmonger, and artisanal cider from a booze shop. Good thing there are plenty of tempting cafés for regular pit stops. 11min with Line 4 you stop to Etienne Marcel or 15min walk ”

Noodle House

“Impressive Thai restaurant, noodles are made from scratch before your eyes. Reasonable prices for very tasty and large meals. I usually order spicy noodle soup and beef + fried tofu, the best. Duck is not as good as you would expect however. Always busy place so come early to catch a table however you can always order for take away and enjoy your meal at Place des Halles in front of Saint Eustache church just across the street.”

Restaurant
“The chef from "Jean" - a good 9th-arrondissement restaurant - has embarked on a new adventure and opened his own place. In his little bistro in the Montorgueil quarter, he creates a lovely cuisine that celebrates ingredients. His dishes are original and delicate, for example, the chicken ravioli and sautéed artichokes, and the service is charming.(Michelin Guide)”
