The Woodland Hive is a four-season geodesic glamping dome and spa located in a private getaway surrounded by forest. The space has an outdoor cooking area with a barbecue, chiminea and yard. Included is a forest spa experience. Soak all of your stress away in the cedar wood-fired hot tub and relax in the cedar wood-fired sauna. It’s a perfect escape outside of the city, but still close to several attractions along the Fundy coast. Magical place any time of year!
The Woodland Hive is tucked away in the forest behind our homestead. On our hobby farm we keep honey bees, laying hens and grow vegetables. We are close to local businesses including restaurants and several tourist attractions. There are walking trails near our house including the marsh and Gray Brook trail.
We are located along the Fundy Coastal Drive. Beautiful rural scenery, rolling hills, and country charm, Hillsborough is a small historical village only 25 minutes from Moncton. Local businesses include restaurants and cafes, a golf course, farmers market, museums, and artisans. We are only a 15 minute drive to the famous Hopewell Rocks and 40 minute drive to the quaint fishing village of Alma and Fundy National Park.
  • We had an amazing stay at Erin and Clinton’s dome! It was so cozy and well kept! We look forward to trying the honey :) thank you so much!

  • We had a great stay. The hot tub and sauna were very nice, as well as the bbq. Was very clean and the decor was beautiful.

  • Very nice and cozy spots. Easy to access as well. Very clean

  • This is not a place you want to pass up. It’s like living in a dream. It’s cozy, private, relaxing and absolutely enchanting. If you’re a city slicker, you get to feel like a real grown adult, lighting and keeping the fires going all by yourself... (Although even if you fail like I did, Clinton will drop by and give you a hand) Extremely helpful couple who thoughtfully greeted my friend and I with a card and jar of honey that came from the bees they keep. Take a walk through the woods at night and look back through the trees at the soft glow of the lights strung around the Dome sight. You’ll feel like a Grimm Brother’s character who just stumbled upon a truly magical place. But instead of meeting a witch and a grisly demise, you get a spa experience and fur blankets.

  • Quite an experience, felt like being in Scandinavian cottage country.

    J M2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Erin and Clinton have an amazing spot and did an excellent job at communicating to us all the information we needed to know to give us an incredible stay. We have already recommended their “Hive” to many of our friends and will definitely be making time in the future to unplug at their place.

Shaun Majumder invites you to come 'Ome and experience the scenic beauty of Burlington, Newfoundland . Located in Iceberg Alley on the north shore. ‘Ome is the perfect way to experience stunning rural NL.
This modern pod by the sea is the perfect private getaway for any couple or small family who wants to do exactly that; Get away. Perched on the edge of a rocky point, this minimalistic eco-pod has all the comforts you need. Beautiful hardwood floors, tongue & groove pine walls, vaulted ceilings, and tall sliding glass doors on three sides to take in the spectacular sunsets and ocean views. Just steps from the ocean’s edge, this location could not be more superb. Downstairs, enjoy the crackling wood stove while gazing out to the ocean. Prepare meals on the propane cooking range. Sit out on the large wrap around deck or on cascading stairs. You'll want to spend as much time outside as you do inside. This off the grid eco pod uses the Eco-Temp, tankless hot water system for both shower and sink. And for bathrooms we use the environmentally responsible SunMar Centrex 3000 High Capacity Compost Flush toilet. Runs on solar energy. This pod embraces simple, elegant design while providing the comfort and amenities you need. You may find yourself enticed to get out and explore spectacular rural Newfoundland or you may just want to relax and quiet your mind with the sound of the ocean.
Burlington is a town of roughly 350 people located on the eastern side of the Baie Verte Peninsula between the towns of Middle Arm and Smith's Harbour. Situated in the heart of Iceberg Alley, Burlington is home to some of the most breathtaking coastline on the island of Newfoundland. With so many hidden coves and rocky inlets dotting the shore, Green Bay has some of the finest sea kayaking in Eastern Canada. Its surrounding hills are ideal for hiking and exploration, and the abundance of rivers and brooks that flow into Burlington provide some spectacular fresh water fishing. During the winter months, this region of Newfoundland can be twice as active as the summer with hundreds of kilometers of snowmobile trails criss crossing the peninsula. Without a doubt, Burlington is an all-year destination.
  • We had a great time!

    Shawna-Rae2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing experience! We will be recommending this place to all our friends and family. We can not wait to stay in the pod again.

  • Loved every second of this trip! The space was beautiful and modern, location was breathe taking, people were kind and amazing, and overall such a great time here. Would recommend to anyone thinking about booking. :)

  • Heather was fantastic upon our arrival and got us situated in the Pod very quickly. The view was absolutely unreal and the Pod was super cozy with a wood stove and all the amenities you need. We can’t wait to go back!

    Samantha2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Ome Sweet Ome is a wonderful place. It is a beautiful place and the pod is even better than we could have imagined! I can’t wait to come back

    Liza2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Cute place and the morning view is amazing. Comfortable bed surprisingly. Excellent communication!

    Michael2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I just spent two nights at the pod. It was without a doubt the most relaxing get away we have ever had. Coffee and wine sitting on the deck with the gorgeous view, or a fire by the ocean with the most amazing view of the stars, we can't pick which we loved more. Our stay was made even more special by the wonderful staff and people of the community who instantly made us feel as though we knew them a lifetime. We're already looking forward to our next trip back, where we will definitely be staying at the pod again.

    Samantha2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Overall we had a super lovely stay in Ome and Burlington. If you want to disconnect in a minimal, no-frill location with a crackling wood stove and a lovely view on the water, then come to 'ome. But if you're expecting anything fancier because of the price tag, you won't find it as it remains fairly simplistic. The price/value is steep, especially with the $28 pet fee and new HST fee.

Take in sea air and expansive views of the Atlantic Ocean from this cosy and contemporary rural private apartment; fully furnished, with a separate entrance and deck. Enjoy the use of an acoustic guitar, firepit, telescope and record player...
Welcome! Bienvenue! Take in sea air and expansive views from cosy and contemporary Seaview Sanctuary. The self-contained apartment above Dave & Colleen's seaside residence offers stunning views from a private deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The apartment has a separate entrance and is a few minutes' walk from the beach and astonishing tides of the Bay of Fundy, in beautiful and historic Port Greville. This bright, fully furnished 1-bedroom apartment is roomily laid out, and has windows on three sides to take in the views. Open the deck door to channel the lovely local sea breezes, if you like. The vaulted ceilings have exposed wooden beams and the bedroom can comfortably sleep two, with potential for three, having both a double and a single bed. A pull-out double sofabed is also available. The apartment has a private four-piece bathroom (large clawfoot tub with shower), as well as a new stove and half-size fridge. A microwave, electric kettle, toaster and coffeemaker can also be found. There are books and a telescope; a dining area, writing desk, firepit, and kitchen table. Wireless internet, deck chairs, an acoustic guitar and a record player are on hand too-- bring your own vinyl, or listen to ours.. As much as possible, we use natural cleaning products and hang-dry the linens. Fall asleep on these to the ebb of the ocean, and in summer to the sweet calls of the Peepers.. Nearby amenities and attractions include a country store (ice cream, liquor, homemade pizza, basic grocery, a ship-building museum [Age of Sail Museum], a dinosaur and geological museum [Fundy Geological Museum] and a theatre for plays and performances [Ship's Company Theater] in nearby Parrsboro. Cape Chignecto Provincial Park, and activities such as kayaking, paragliding, boating, hiking, horseback-riding, fossil-collecting, etc. also abound..
Port Greville is a coastal hamlet of houses on the Bay of Fundy in Cumberland County, Nova Scotia. It finds itself set amidst a remarkable glacially-formed geography, positioned between the Atlantic Ocean and the ancient Cobequid Mountains. Port Greville has a store, a firehall, an Age of Sail Museum and an ever-unfurling beach..
  • It was sooooo quiet and relaxing. We live in halifax and it's too noisy and we both realized we miss living in the country. All is there for you to enjoy a comfy weekend. Just relax and enjoy!!!

  • I really enjoyed my stay at Colleen and Dave’s place! Highly recommend it!

    Julie2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment sits on the second floor of an old farmhouse perched on a hill above Port Greville bay. The view is stunning. The location is tranquil, slow and quiet. Everyone in the tiny town is so friendly. The apartment is delightfully rustic with a full kitchen, excellent amenities and eclectic furnishings. It is very close to Parrsboro with a fascinating Bay of Fundy museum as well as Cape Chignecto with miles of hiking trails. Colleen and Dave made us feel very welcomed and gave us lots of helpful information. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

    William2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful time staying at Colleen and Dave's place. The extra touches like the record player, guitar, and board games were a great way to pass the time on a rainy evening. We loved the large tub and the view was outstanding. Hopefully we'll be back one day! Thanks again!

    Megan2019-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • This accommodation had one of the best views that I have had anywhere that I have stayed. We wished that we could have stayed longer to enjoy the rooftop cottage and the surrounding area. We appreciated the two beds and having a living room that was separate from the bedroom. The high ceilings and claw foot tub gave the space lots of character. We enjoyed watching Netflix in the evening. This is the first AirBnB listing that I have read that included an acoustic guitar and a telescope for the guests to enjoy. It is very well suited for staying for several days. We did not use the kitchen, but it seemed to be well equipped. I did use the microwave oven. Thank you to Colleen and Dave for an enjoyable experience.

    Christine2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • A real gem on the Bay of Fundy. The beach is amazing and the apartment is very thoughtfully designed.

    Lisa & Matt2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Just as advertised. Beautiful spot and charming rooms. Walk to the water to watch the tides come and go.

    Kelley2019-09-03T00:00:00Z

  • A nice cozy cottage perfect for a quiet day lazying around and a good place to warm up after hiking and exploring the area. Alan was super helpful getting us settled in and gave excellent tips for local hikes and restaurants.

  • Alan is the best host ever. The cottage has everything that we needed. And the views are amazing. And location is perfect too

    Asif2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for an Airbnb experience that you will never forget, stay at Alan's beautiful cottage! I was looking for somewhere to go and work on finishing my novel and his place ended up inspiring me beyond belief. Sunsets and mountain views like you have never seen before. The cottage is so cozy and warm, even in a full blizzard. Full of small touches, books, instruments from around the world that made it even better than I expected. Alan was an amazing host as well -- friendly and extremely accommodating. He showed me around the rest of the property, which has a rich international history-- an historic Opera house on site. Water/ bay views a short 5 minute walk away. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for rest and retreat and I will definitely be returning soon!

Waterfront cottage on quiet Graham lake in the middle of our small working farm. Great spot for quiet relaxation, fishing or kayaking. 2 canoes on the property. Good central location for visiting Bangor, Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park and Downeast Sunrise ATV Trail. Private setting. Wifi available at the farmhouse.
There is a closed in porch on the front of the cottage where you can relax and watch the sunset.
  • This cabin was even bigger than it looked on the pictures. It was the perfect place for us to stay during our visit to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Even though we came in the off season, we wanted to stay a bit away from the ‘main drag’. It was very clean, beautifully decorated, and quiet. The lakeshore views and grounds were beautiful and relaxing. We would definitely stay here again.

Social Distance safely here! Get a little pet therapy from our canine, cats, or horses. Take a walk on the dykes or up to the Vineyards on the hill and catch an amazing sunset! Roast hot dogs or marshmallows over the fire pit. The bromine maintained hot tub is safe, sure to kill any virus. We clean thoroughly with antimicrobials after each guest. Check in and out is easy without any need to even interact with us in person! have a fire if you wish. Enjoy a break from being housebound.
The Coachhouse is an historic building, dating to the mid 1800s. It was a stagecoach stop for travellers en route from Halifax. We’ve modernized the building, but the exterior, the ceiling, floors, and some of the plank walls are original. We’re excited to share this little gem with others. Kitchenette has a fridge with freezer, microwave, large toaster oven, and hot plate for cooking. Stocked with dishes and cutlery. Bedroom area has a comfortable queen bed, and the couch and ottomans are designed to securely adjoin to make another queen bed if needed. Curtains can be closed across the building to make the queen bedroom area somewhat private. Bathroom also has a shower.
We are in the heart of wine country in the Gaspereau Valley, and have several vineyards with a 5 km radius. Walk up the hill to Luckett’s state of the art vineyard or take the Magic Wine Bus to visit a number of the local vineyards nearby. We are conveniently less than an hour’s drive to Halifax and the airport. We are minutes to Wolfville and Acadia University.

  • Beautiful, tidy beach house. Close to the ferry and a short walk to a shared beach. Great spot if you want to get away from the busy parts of the island.

  • Travellers, Beachside Haven is summer paradise! so peaceful and clean. We were made to feel so welcome. Our family of four was very comfortable. We loved being a few steps from the red sandy beach and watching the seals bask in the sun from the dining room window. The kayaks were a really nice bonus and the girls loved having bikes to ride. We had a rainy day and there were ample books, toys and games to keeps the kids happy all day. We are so thankful for our time at Beachside and would certainly love to return.

It's stylishly decorated and spotlessly clean - we would love to return one day! Thank you Donna and Marty for sharing BeachHaven with us x

In light of COVID19, we are taking extra precautions with our Airbnb Cabin to ensure it is both safe for you to stay in and to give you peace of mind in this uncertain time so you can enjoy your stay care free. The cabin is such a wonderful escape right now and it is beautiful to be relaxing next to the river, walking around in the woods, floating in the hot tub under the stars and barbequing on the deck! First of we are asking all of our guests if they have been outside the country in the last 14 days or are showing any symptoms that they must notify us. Please let us know if either of these apply to you and we will process a refund. In addition, we are following all of the Health Canada guidelines and appropriately disinfecting and cleaning the entire cabin, bathroom, hot tub and everywhere with extra effort and care to meet and exceed the required standards. We have thoroughly researched the safety of the hot tub as well, the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention states that there is no risk of contracting the coronavirus through the use of a hot tub or pool. In addition to this, for each guest we completely drain the hot tub, rinse it and re-fill it with new fresh water from the river. The cabin is such a beautiful place in the forest to relax, enjoy nature and escape. We are sure you will enjoy your stay. Thank you, Peter & Paula ------ Listing Details: Welcome to the cabin! The cabin is perfect for weekend retreats, romantic nights, anniversaries, winter getaways, celebrations, beach going summer holidays, escaping the city and spending time tucked in the forest. • Staying at Peter and Paula's was by far the best cabin rental experience we've had to date. Where other places have fell short in years' past, their cabin delivered in spades. The wood fired hot tub was a bonus on top of an already amazing cabin-in-the-woods experience. We will absolutely be returning for years to come!

    Scott2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing getaway. From the warmth of the timberframe to the record collection, you won't regret booking Paula and Peter's place. Falling asleep to the crackle of the woodstove and the song of the creek flowing by was just what we needed for a couple of nights. We will be back!

The wood fired hot tub was to die for, such a unique experience! Sitting there nice and toasty while looking up at the stars and enjoying the sounds of the brook rushing by was just perfect. Would come back here for sure!

  • The cabin is amazing, exactly as shown in the pictures. Such a nice area, loved the privacy in the woods. The hot tub is amazing, takes some work to get going but it is well worth it.

We are now inspired to build our own little slice of heaven on Earth. We have already recommended the listing to several friends, we surely will be back!

    Amy2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great weekend getaway!!! Everything is either self explanatory or with a detailed instruction. We had an amazing time!!

    Adel2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This trip exceeded our expectations. The treehouse is easy to locate & close enough to town that you can get anything you need from grocery stores, pharmacies & shopping. We also ate at a lovely local Irish pub. You really feel like you are in the trees. The 2 screened in porches are amazing! Especially the one that hosts the dual fireplace! That was my favorite cozy spot. Even in winter we were toasty warm! The Treehouse had a fully equipped kitchen which included a stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven and coffee pot. It also included pots and pans, silverware, cutting board, dishware and mixing bowls. The treehouse was exceptionally clean, with extra touches like a clean sponge, dish & hand soap as well as extra towels. The bed was comfortable-we only used the one downstairs. There were additional beds in loft as well as a 1/2 bath. The master bathroom was really unique with a jacuzzi tub, sauna & steam rain shower. Angie & Haze were wonderful hosts. They responded quickly to any questions as well as providing great directions. The hosts respected our privacy completely. It’s very clear that a tremendous amount of work & love went into the design. It was really neat to see the engineering & the trees growing up through various places in the house. We would highly recommend the treehouse and hope to be back in the fall for a visit.

  • I didn’t want to leave!! The treehouse far exceeded my expectations. It was so cozy and comfortable. It snowed while we were there and you could see it through all of the windows. It was magical. The extra touches with the awesome shower, jetted tub and sauna made us feel like we were in a private resort. It was wonderful.

  • Such a great spot!! Extremely convenient location, close to everything; easy parking for 2 vehicles. We celebrated our daughter’s 16th bday there - evening skating at officers Square & warm cinnamon buns for breakfast from Mill Town Roasters - both just minutes. The space is much larger than it appears in the photos. Sparkling clean, all the amenities. Very comfortable furniture & beds. There are doors that can close off the living room & pool table area, which is great if some want to stay up later than others. The layout & set up is just fabulous. Hosts are amazing - always respond so quickly to messages (before, during & even after our stay!) & very accommodating. We will be returning!!

The St. Anns lighthouse was built in 1905. This was a working lighthouse until 1962. We are restoring it and adding some modern luxuries for our guests to enjoy. The lighthouse is located in St. Anns, directly on the water. On the Cabot Trail. We are centrally located for you to enjoy all of what Cape Breton has to offer. Travel around the beautiful and scenic Cabot Trail. Enjoy the beautiful stars at night, and picturesque views of St. Ann’s Bay. The Gaelic College is just a few minutes away.
Stay at one of the most famous addresses in Canada, the Cabot Trail and at our decommissioned lighthouse. We started renovations in June 2018 and we have completed our first stage in time to open in August 2018. Every year we tackle a few more projects, in the fall 2018 we installed a new red metal roof, it looks amazing! In 2019 we enhanced the interior with shiplap walls, new kitchen floor, new storm door, moved and added a new wood stove to a center location and installed new trim work, keeping the historical Lighthouse in mind with every detail. This lighthouse has so much history. Follow us on Facebook, lighthouse on the Bay and watch our progress. The lighthouse is best suited for 2 guests. It’s super cozy with a king bed (Casper mattress) in the bedroom, and we do have a sofa bed in the living-room space. Our lighthouse is over 100 years old, so with this comes all of its unique features. We love our lighthouse and the natural surroundings, please ask if you have any questions prior to booking. Wake up to the ocean waves, have coffee on your front deck, watch the local fisherman haul up their traps, and take a walk on the beach. Walk our natural beach at low tide, find all kinds of treasures, sea glass and pottery that have washed up. Walk down the beach and find a secluded sandy beach area, bring a chair, beach towel, a little picnic and enjoy. We can help plan your stay, make local suggestions for restaurants, hire a fishing guide, or even provide a lobster dinner. The Gaelic College is just a story drive and Baddeck is 20 minutes. Cape Breton is beautiful. Our lighthouse is located on the bay in St. Anns, where you will see the most spectacular views, and the stars at night are the brightest you will see. Sometimes living in beautiful areas comes with some small inconveniences. Because of our mountains and valleys we can have some areas of the island with poor cell service, including St. Anns. On occasion we might get a local guest come and visit, some of our squirrels try to come in to save food for winter, they never come inside but you might hear them on the roof or the outside wall by the bathroom. Our closest grocery store is about 20 minutes away, in Baddeck. Yes, another inconvenience, but the only traffic jam will be the locals kayaking out front, some seals swimming by or eagles soaring by.
There is so much to see and do in St Ann's and all across Cape Breton. Locals love our varied cultures, and delight in the out-of-doors, as well. So many hiking trails, waterfalls, artisan shops, local restaurants, museums and music venues all across the island. The out-of-doors will always offer opportunities to enjoy our views and active lifestyles. Grab your fishing rod and head out along the streams and rivers that flow through our woods. Or try your hand at fishing for mackerel on the Jersey Cove shore. You can even dig for clams in the bay. In summer, take a boat tour out to the Bird Islands, nesting grounds of the Atlantic Puffin. Or kayak in the world-famous North River. St Ann's Bay is also famous for our world-class artisans. From May through November, you will find these folk busy creating stunning pieces in all kinds of media — you're welcome to watch them work. In the off-seasons, call ahead. In summer, plan to take a couple of days to visit every one!
  • This space is even better than the pictures can reveal. It is a wonderful space to hang out in and a perfect location to explore Cape Breton. Every detail has been thought about. The bed is extremely comfortable. It is very clean and beautiful. The views are absolutely breathtaking. We hope we can get back there soon.

    Karin2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for 6 days during Celtic Colours. The property is superb in every way. It is ideally located close to the Gaelic College and Baddeck, giving you easy access to many of the excellent music and cultural events. John and Rosella are superb hosts.

  • It doesn't get any better than that. The lighthouse truly is one of the best accomodations we have had so far. Every detail is well thought out and arranged with love. The location and view are awesome. Plus the nice supplies that our hosts provided, including a bottle of wine. We would love to return one day.

Our hosts went truly out of their way to make our stay extra special. We really enjoyed waking up to the ocean views, kayaking on the bay and spending time up at the top of the lighthouse. We would definitely recommend staying here!

    Meredith2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place and we enjoyed our stay a lot. The lighthouse is a very special place and was one of our favorites during our 3 weeks in Nova Scotia. Rosella and John are wonderful hosts, easy to communicate with and always available for questions and tips. We only had 2 nights but we found everyting we needed for the stay. We did not have the time to use all the available thinks like the Weber grill on the terrace or the canoes to scout the sea. This is really a place to calm down. The interior design is beautiful and perfectly fit to the whole nice atmospere in the kitchen/living room. You always have the view over the sea and there is also an white-headed sea eagle flying around. We never saw one from such a short distance. Very impressive. I can strongly recommend this place. We had a wonderful and relaxed time and we plan to come back but then for a longer time. Thanks a lot Rosella and John for sharing this place with other people :-)

Thoroughly cleaned and disinfected home. With a virus on our hands, we will fight back. Our cleaners work above and beyond the rest to ensure a safe, clean, disinfected environment to put your mind at ease while travelling during this time. Astounding cabin furnished to an impeccable standard. Located in a beautiful open forest, it’s the ideal retreat for a laidback & secluded stay. Perfectly situated “away from it all,” we offer a unique escape. The nature in the area is immaculate. A wonderful chalet experience. Tucked away in Riverside-Albert, offering some stunning scenery. A guaranteed charmer if you are looking for a different kind of visit. With four distinct seasons, any time during the year is a great time to visit. So drop by, anytime. Hope to see you soon!
This cabin in the woods is spacious both inside and outside. The property is a great place to bring your ATVs in the spring summer and fall but a phenomenal winter haven for snowmobiles. The NB trail system is just across the street. The SENBSA ((URL HIDDEN) "the best snowmobiling in the east" clubhouse is 1 KM from the property. As well for the summer vacationers there are many popular tourist attractions within 20 to 30 KM you will find the Hopewell Rocks ((URL HIDDEN) the highest tides in the world. The Waterside beach and winery. Alma for sea kayaking rentals and Fundy Naional Park. After a day of adventure return to a chalet with a warm fire and a hot tub for total relaxation.
This is a remote location with a few other camps and homes within a few km. It would meet expectations of "getting away from hustle and bustle of the fast pace of life, like work, traffic and neighbours. You will feel the nature and serenity of the mountain and the woods. Make sure you bring enough food and supplies for a few days so you don't have to go to the City or town for supplies. But if you do, the closest convenience store is 10 km down the mountain to Riverside Albert.

Welcome to our quaint Cape Cod style home with spectacular panoramic views of the Chebogue River. This secluded house is conveniently located only 10 minutes away from all the amenities downtown Yarmouth has to offer, including restaurants, shopping, and the ferry terminal.
Our house is located on the Chebogue River (saltwater) and is at the mouth of the Bay of Fundy, which has the highest tides in the world. On the first floor, you will find a garage (manual door) as well as the washer and dryer. The living area is located on the second floor and offers a spectacular panoramic view of the water and surrounding area with floor to ceiling windows. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen sized bed and one with a double bed. Both have brand new mattresses to provide you with a comfortable sleep after you spend your busy days exploring the area. The bathroom has a walk-in shower that is very easy to get in and out of. In the morning, you can grab a tea or coffee from the bar in the living room and sit and watch the boats go by. On a nice day, the deck is a great spot to sit with a book and relax, or the perfect spot to have dinner. Take the kayaks out on the river when the weather is nice. The house has high speed wireless internet, as well as Netflix on the TV. The house has a heat pump system which can easily be adjusted with a remote control to keep you warm in the winter or cool in the summer. We hope you enjoy your stay!
The location is great because you will be a short 5-10 minute drive from grocery stores, shopping a well as the downtown, but also nice because it is a very private, secluded space you can enjoy to yourself. Our house is the only one on the street and overlooks a saltwater river facing East, so it has beautiful morning light and sun rises.
  • Hands down my favourite Airbnb in Nova Scotia and one of my favourites anywhere in the world. This was my third time staying there. The house is so relaxing and cosy. The most beautiful sunrise I have ever seen was from this living room the first time I stayed. Great place to write, birdwatch and stare at the tide come in and out. Comfy bed, everything you need to make food, Jessica is so friendly and responsive. This is one of those places you almost don't want to recommend because you want it to be available for when you want to stay!!! But Jessica has created such a perfect spot and deserves to have this place booked up! The way the light shines into this house throughout the day is so stunning. Can't recommend it enough. I hope to return for a week to get some writing done soon.

  • The place is very cute and private. A very nice weekend!

    Lee Anne2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing. A fantastic spot that is close to town, but located to give you a feel of privacy. The house is layed out beautifully and the view was amazing. Jessica left everything you would need to know about the house and the town. The coffee and espresso machine was very appreciated! We look forward to using this spot again.

  • This place far exceeded my expectations! It was comfortable, stylish, clean, cozy, and just BEAUTIFUL. The view is unbeatable, it's silent, private, and truly a break from the day to day. I highly recommend!

  • Great views and a stylish modern and welcoming space. Great coffee/ tea available.

    Lori Ann2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful home! All the amenities and little touches (like the coffee making facilities) make it extra special. Even a power outtage from a storm didn't ruin our stay at the house with all the help and attention we received. Gorgeous views of the sunrise over the river too. There's everything you need here. Shower was great too and WiFi all good. Would highly recommend as hosts and accommodation for anyone visiting the area. Thank you so much

This year-round home is in one of Nova Scotia's most beautiful areas, the South Shore. Known for its abundant beaches, restaurants, shopping and music there is something for everyone!
Heron's Rest is a quaint tiny home nestled in the woods on just over an acre beside one of the largest set of rapids on the Petite River. Located just 1.5 hours from Halifax, this quiet and private rental is just off the main road giving quick access to the wide range of local interest and activities. It's the perfect location for a romantic getaway for two or a personal retreat. The house is fully equipped with a wood -burning fireplace (wood is included), fridge, stove, dishwasher and laundry facilities. It will sleep 2 in the main bedroom queen-sized bed. The large deck which overlooks the river is accessed off the kitchen and includes a BBQ and outdoor dining facilities. Guests can enjoy a quiet evening on the deck listening to the river and watching the stars or build a bonfire in the riverside fire pit. This is a wonderful community close to local beaches, steeped with history and full of charm. Petite Riviere is just a few minutes away and has a general store (complete with liquor store). Have one of their wonderful cups of coffee and enjoy a few minutes on their deck sharing a "yarn" with the locals. Please note that there is no public transit here.
This is truly a Nova Scotia neighbourhood combining locals who have lived here for over 8 generations and those "Come from aways" (CFA's) who have chosen Nova Scotia as their home. It is full of art, music, nature and wonderful people.
  • If you are looking for a place to unwind and relax, look no further, this is the spot. Gorgeous river setting that you can see and hear from the cottage. Be sure to take a walk down the path to the river and out onto the rock path by the water. This is the best view of the rapids! Everything that you need is here. We brought our meals and cooked there. Then you dine at a beautiful handcrafted table overlooking the river. There was plenty of firewood for the wood stove. Such a cozy spot. Definitely highly recommend!

    Linda2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I have now stayed in Heron's Rest about half a dozen times, in winter, spring and early summer. We've found no better secluded spot within 90 minutes of Halifax. We appreciate and enjoy the closeness of the rapids-rattling river, the cozy kitchen, the wood stove, and the proximity to Risser's Beach, Crescent Beach, Broad Cove, LaHave, and other locations. You won't regret booking Heron's Rest.

  • Sherry’s little cabin on the river is an amazing retreat. The cabin has everything you need and more for a comfortable stay away from the busy city life. The property is absolutely beautiful and private. We would love to return in the summer months to take advantage of the river! Thanks again!

    Lauren2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great space. The pictures do not do it justice. This is definitely a two person location but with that said there is lots of room for two. It is the very definition of quaint in the best way possible. We had two great winter days enjoying the river sounds and the enchanting fire in the wood stove. Would definitely recommend. Would be great in any season.

Our delightful authentic, cozy log cabin cottage, sleeps two. Overlooks Orwell Bay. 5 min. walk to a red sand beach, excellent for walking, beach combing. Quiet, private, peaceful, romantic. A truly wonderful haven to escape from the busy world.
Our authentic log cabin from the late 1800's is from PEI. We had it dismantled and rebuilt on our property. It is beautifully decorated with interesting and eclectic art by Kerras Jeffreys a PEI folk artist and glass artist Cathy Murchison Kro.
There is so much to do. A fabulous restaurant at the end of Pt. Prim Road-Point Prim Chowder House, right on the ocean, is open mid June to mid September, Blackfox Manor for cozy, elegant dining open year round,Kro in the Sky glass artist is 8 minutes away, Hannah's Bottle Village 5 minutes away. We are also 10 minutes from the Highland Greens Golf Course, 15 minutes to the Mini Mills, 10 minutes to Fleece and Harmony, 20 minutes to Kolezar Pottery. Cooper's IGA and gas station is a five minute drive where you can get snacks, groceries, beverages.
  • This is the perfect place to stay for a vacation on PEI. Jan is beyond welcoming and the cottage is comfortable and quirky, with much thought gone into being able to stay in a small space. Loved the wood burner and the view from the deck. The pictures do not do this place justice. Book it, you won’t regret it.

    Amy2019-10-14T00:00:00Z

  • We really enjoyed our honeymoon stay at this truly unique log cabin! This Maratime gem is a one of a kind place that we will never forget visiting. If we ever get back to PEI we would love to stay again. Everything is as described and some! Simply perfection!!

    Dan2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Such a whimsical but well designed space for one or two people. The location is incredible and the cottage is really comfortable. We loved our 3 day stay and found it a great base for exploring the area but also enjoyed a wonderful afternoon and evening in front of the fire. Would happily return to this special spot in PEI.

    B2019-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Jan and Barrie’s place is clean, cozy and comfortable. The wood stove kept us warm and we enjoyed the eclectic decor. Such a lovely secluded hideaway. We even found fresh cookies for our bedtime tea. We are glad to have had the opportunity to stay here. We wanted something unique and we got it.

    Linda2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures don’t do this cabin justice! Great location, very clean, and cozy. Great little touches and fun artwork on the property and in the cabin.

    Meghan2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • This little cabin exceeded my expectations (and they were high because a friend was there last year). Jan is the ideal host-friendly and warm, helpful, and kind (fresh blueberries awaited my arrival!) You’ll hardly notice the cabin is small as the beautiful workmanship and decor capture your attention. And did I mention all the windows and outdoor space...spectacular! A short walk on the trails thru the woods and you get to spend hours exploring the beaches at low tide. In a nutshell, I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of my short visit and will be going back next summer!

  • This place is a " Do not judge a book by it's cover" kind of curb appeal. I have driven past this location for over 20 years and did not know what was behind the doors. I stepped back into history upon my arrival and felt as if I was welcomed by old Captains of the British Fleet. Loved the age of this place and the Victorian style. Room was newly renovated and clean, comfy bed and I even used the iron for my work clothes. I regret I never had a chance to dine at the restaurant, but I did manage to grab a sociable beverage at the bar before retiring for the evening. Oh and yea the price was a great bang for the buck!! Cheers.

It's located in the perfect spot and Peg & Ed are very helpful with things to do in the surrounding area. Definitely recommend this place, I'll be back to visit again for sure!

  • Hey Friends , Such a wonderful place to stay ! Peg and Ed are the best :) i will definitely recommend this place to spend a quality time with your loved ones :) Thanks Arvind and Keerthana

  • The best Airbnb I have ever stayed at. Should be your #1 choice whenever visiting Wolfeville or Port Williams. Amazing people and an amazing place.

    Joe2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The nook is the perfect location for a cozy birthday getaway! I had never been to Port Williams before, but was pleasantly surprised with the restaurants and breweries within a minute walk of this location. Peg and Ed were incredibly welcoming and thoughtful and even left us a delicious little birthday treat! If you have the chance to stay here I would highly recommend you take it!

    Amy2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Peg & Ed go above and beyond. The location is fantastic and the small touches did not go unnoticed!

    Mallorie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Had an amazing time at the Peg & Ed's Place "the Nook". The place was spotless and every little detail was perfect. The attention to detail and the care they take with the property really shows. The is a perfect location for a romantic gateway or a family vacation and is just outside of the city in a beautiful little town. The price is great and Peg goes above and beyond. Freshly baked cookies when you arrive, fridge stocked with breakfast, Nova Scotia Honey and delicious coffee from a local vendor, etc.. The only issue is that we couldn't stay longer. This was my first time using AIRBNB and Peg made this experience so easy, gave us information on attractions in the community and on the property history. It was an overall amazing experience and we would love to come back but for more than one night. Thanks so much!

    Clement2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • A very cozy and well appointed place close to local food, drink and very close to wineries and brew pubs. Over 21 restaurants in Wolfville.

The guest cottage is located in the centre of a typical Nova Scotia fishing village.
  • What a beautiful place to stay! Ocean views, hot tub on the deck and cosy wood stove.

  • The loveliest spot. Even nicer than the photos suggest! So many thoughtful extras. So romantic and cozy in the most beautiful setting.

    Grace2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing place. You surely won't be disappointed staying here. This cozy cabin checks off all boxes. It was especially amazing in autumn when the air is crisp and the leaves are colourful. The hot tub was the perfect way to end your day, with your loved one, while listening to the crashing waves, sipping wine and watching the sunset. There's also something very special about being inside, all nice and cozy and falling asleep beside a crackling fire. If it wasn't for a little thing called a job (Oh.. and children) I could live here. Thank you Heather!

    Mark2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Heather was beyond accommodating. The cottage itself is so charming with the wood stove and hot tub by the water. Though we didn't use all the amenities, there seemed to be everything available. We hope to come back in the future!

    Maria2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second time staying here, first time I was solo on a motorcycle trip. I knew my wife would love it even more than I did so booked a fall weekend here.. the wood stove and hot tub were amazing. Wolfville in the fall is great, farmers market, craft beer wine and lots of great food! We will be back!

    Jonathan2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Another exceptional stay in Halls Harbour! The hot tub and beautiful deck were a major plus and made our stay extra special. Heather's special attention to extra touches such as a artistic stylish authentic décor was amazing! Great travel resources! Super equipped modern kitchen, perfect for enjoying a couple home cooked meals with local ingredients. Outstanding location, so close to everything, yet so private. Thanks Heather, for making this visit so special. Halls Harbour remains one of our favorite spots in Nova Scotia. Absolutely stunning view and amazing cottage! Joan and Ed Oct. 2019

Our 25’ x 8.5’ tiny house is situated on a beautiful secluded piece of ocean front property in Port Hood with a private beach and spacious deck. There is a loft with a queen sized bed and a sofa in the main area that turns into a double bed. There is a 3 piece bathroom in the back underneath the loft as well as a second small private room with enough space to set up a pack n' play.
Our tiny house offers a unique and refreshing vacation experience. It is completely off-grid, but with all of the common comforts of any home. It’s a great way to disconnect and unwind. The house is perched above a lovely stretch of private rocky coastline that is easily accessible from a path directly in front of the house. You could spend hours exploring on the rock beach below looking for drift wood, rocks, fossils and sea glass or stroll over to the sandy beach, located a 5 minute walk away - It boasts some of the warmest warmest water north of the Carolinas. Our tiny house is solar powered, propane heated and water is supplied by an onsite well. The kitchen is fully equipped, but because we run on solar power, there are a few kitchen appliances that we do without. For instance, we don’t have an oven or microwave. Instead, we have a built in propane cooktop. We also have a 3.8 cubic foot fridge with a small freezer that’s compatible with our solar system and is plenty big for your food and drink during your stay. There is a three piece bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet. Hair dryers and straighteners cannot be used at the tiny house because they are not compatible with our solar panel system. The loft has panoramic windows so you can sit up in the queen sized-bed and look out to the ocean. The sound of waves breaking below will lull you to sleep. The loft is accessible by a wide fixed ladder. There is a couch in the common area that slides out to make a double bed. There is also a small private room in the back with the option to set up a pack and play crib. There is a propane burner and lobster pot available to use at the tiny house. You can buy fresh lobsters at the harbour to cook and enjoy. We do not allow lobsters to be cooked inside, but have a left a guide on how to prepare your authentic lobster supper at the tiny house. The tiny house is cozy and comfortable and is the perfect getaway for your vacation.
The tiny house is located on a beautiful, private piece of ocean front property. There is a private rocky beach located below the house and it is easily accessible via a well maintained path. The beach is great for exploring. A beautiful sandy beach is located a 5-minute walk away and boasts some of the warmest waters north of the Carolinas. The town of Port Hood is home to 5 beautiful sandy beaches. It also has many wonderful amenities including a grocery store, gas station, a take out chip wagon, a sit down restaurant/pub with live entertainment on select nights, hardware store, liquor store, and ice cream barn. There is also a lobster pound at the Warf that sells fresh lobster. The lobster pound is a 2 minute walk from the tiny house! Port hood is a great home base or starting point for exploring Cape Breton Island. There are so many things to see and do and places to explore.
  • Lovely spot, great views it's a nice cozy getaway.

  • Amazing location!! Gorgeous view, and quite private. Never had to use the heater because the house was warmed up nicely during the days from the sun through all the windows. Really enjoyed listening to and watching the fishing boats heading in and out.

  • Amazing location. Stunning views. Great hosts. We'd love to go back!!!

    Jayde2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Bothan Baeg is a perfect place for a tranquil getaway, falling asleep and waking to the sounds of the ocean. The “tiny house” has everything you need and more!! Super sweet and cozy and can’t beat breakfast there watching the eagle aerial acrobatics. Lots of great local beaches and surrounding areas to explore. However, you may choose not to even leave Borhan Baeg. We would highly recommend.

It is very close to the snowmobile trail network. It was a very quiet location. The wood stove worked great. It was great to be able cook our own meals. I loved all the art on the walls . There were lots of dishes, Pots and pans. The movies were a perfect addition, and because of the dates of them my teenagers hadn’t seen any of them. We enjoyed patch Adams. Thanks

Affectionately known as The Love Shack, this guest cottage is located in the quiet town of Winter Harbor, Maine. Surrounded by woods and perennial beds, it is completely private. A stone's throw from the ocean, guests can sit and enjoy the view of lobster boats , seagulls, loons and eagles. Sunsets from here are not to be missed. Cabin includes: queen-size bed, kitchenette, WiFi and HD T.V. with access to kayaks, bicycles and the eastern part of Acadia National Park known as Schoodic Point. It is close to restaurants, grocery store, bank and Post Office. Also, there is ferry service to Bar Harbor available June 20th through Labor Day.
  • The Love Shack was so great. I stayed 3 nights of my trip there. Very quiet, relaxing and comfortable. The ocean view is an amazing place to take in the sunset, or really any time of day. The hosts provided lots of details about local attractions, restaurants and even a cruise ship schedule for Bar Harbor. This was a big help to know when best to go to avoid the larger crowd. They provided a few drink and food items in the mini frig, which was a sweet touch. Overall, great experience and hope to visit again.

    Sarah2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at the Love Shack. The location is great, with easy access to Acadia National Park and Lubec. One of our favorite places to eat was the Pickled Wrinkle in nearby Birch Harbor. This was our first trip to Maine and we fell in love with this beautiful state!

    Kathy2019-10-09T00:00:00Z

  • I don't think I can add much to all the positive reviews others before me have given - they are all true. You can't go wrong staying at the Love Shack. The location is perfect, and Bob and Hope think of everything to make your stay comfortable. It is peaceful and cozy and we would stay here again without hesitation.

    Julianne2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Bob and Hope are very warm and welcoming. They are eager to share tips and insights about the area which help make your stay fun and memorable! The love shack is quaint and cozy...making for a perfect romantic get-away for our anniversary!

    Derek2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for somewhere to relax and get away from it all, this is the place to be. Hope and Bob have a beautiful, cozy little love shack by the water. The little things that they leave for you, such as... a bottle of wine, popcorn, biscuits and homemade jam, and orange juice add the extra touch. You can tell that they put a lot of effort into making you feel welcome, but also give you your privacy. Winter Harbor is a cute little village with friendly people and lots of good places to eat. Would stay there again if we get back again.

This is a beautiful apartment fully furnished with a kitchenette. Set over the garage of the main house on a gorgeous three and a half acre lot in the country, but an easy drive to the nearby city of Fredericton. It is normal to see deer in our beautiful apple orchard behind the house. Twenty two minutes from Crabbe Mountain Ski Resort and 12 minutes from Mactaquac Park. A perfect spot for skiers to stay!
A friendly, quiet neighbourhood with large house lots.
  • The space was on the smaller side, but very private with a separate entrance. Bed was comfortable, the apartment was clean and the heat was on when I walked in so I didn't have to wait for the place to heat up unlike other places I have visited. I arrived a bit late but Sue Ellen had prepared everything for a self check-in and had communicated very clearly with me so I knew what was where, etc. Free parking on site. This seems like a nice property with a nice view that is probably breathtaking in the summer. I really only arrived late in the evening and left early in the morning so I didn't stay very long but it was comfortable and I would stay here again.

  • Five Stars doesn't seem to be enough!!! This was one of my favourite Air BnBs so far!! The apartment was perfect and had everything we needed, even coffee and breakfast in the morning!! Bed was very comfy!! Sue was excellent at communicating before and throughout our stay, the property is in a beautiful country setting and is sparkling clean! We were skiing near by and this was the perfect spot for us to stay. We had a snow storm our last night and we were all ploughed our super early so we could get on our way. This will be our "go to" when coming to the area!!!

  • Beautiful place. Had everything you would need. I would recommend this to everyone and would love to come back.

  • Great experience and really fun! Ben was a great host and quick to respond. Highly recommend it!

  • Ben's treehouse is at once everything you're hoping it is and more. It washed over us gradually as we spent our first night, and first morning, there. The place is special! Everything you need is right at your fingertips, all the comforts of home, yet at the same time it feels like you're occupying your own little spot at the end of the earth. Ben is nearby and always willing to help out, though your privacy never feels even remotely compromised. All of the optional activities he has made available to you will doubtlessly encourage a little bit of adventure -- most people have ridden a bike or paddled a kayak before (Ben provides both) but how many of us landlubbers have dug for clams? I hadn't, anyway, and now I can say that I have. And it was a good time! Plugging those lights in on the deck as the sun goes down (most spectacular sunset you can imagine, it occurs right in front of you and reflects off of the water and the sand) and firing up the barbeque was a gorgeous, one of a kind experience. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and honestly nothing was missing! Everytime we wondered out loud if he'd thought of something, he had. I will say that going into the experience we were a bit wary of the price, and the fact that we had to spend two days minimum there. Now that we're on the other side of the experience, all I can say is that it was worth every penny and I'm so glad we had the second day to relax and take it all in.

  • After camping in national parks for most of our trip ,the seaside tree tent was a splurge and it definitely didn’t disappoint. We had a lot of fun digging for clams and having a fire on the beach. The views at this place are amazing and the outdoor shower is very cool. Highly recommend this place, we hope to come back in the future!!

  • We stayed at the tree tent for two nights and we were absolutely blown away. This spot is a true hidden gem & we’re so happy to have stumbled upon it. The views were outstanding and just what our souls needed. Pick up some beer, wine, snacks & food to bbq & you will be good to go!

  • Everything about this place is perfect! The outdoor shower gave it a special touch, but nothing beats the view! We will definitely recommend this place!

  • Beautiful location, wonderful wall 🏕 tent / 🌲 tree house! Great site location of tent platform w/ respect to cabin and other lots. Very private. Local guide very helpful. Kayaking to oyster beds was a highlight and delicious appetizer!! Felt like part of the tidal ebb and flow. Part of nature!

  • A little slice of heaven, as described. I especially enjoyed the hot shower in the cool morning air. We didn't plan enough time to try out the biking or kayaking, next time! Thanks!
