“There’s not too many places I’d suggest just to get a cocktail, but this is one. Award winning Tiki bar, great way to be transported during the colder months, about a half mile northeast. ”

Korean Restaurant

“Technically still in our neighborhood, but even though it's east of the freeway which might as well be Siberia, it's worth the trip if you're into eating at a restaurant that won the James Beard Award for best chef in 2019! ”

“Dantes looks like hell (ha ha) but it has awesome people. A hipster favorite. It's owned by the same guys who own Crown Liquors next door, so you can grab a slice of pizza and walk over to Crown with it and be in beer and cocktail heaven. American Restaurant
$$
“The smoked chicken wings won 2 or 3 annual chicken wing competition awards. They're mainly known for their BBQ and smoked meats. It's pretty damn tasty! Note: I'm from Texas, so my level of standards set for good BBQ are unrealistically high, this place is up there. Highly recommend! Not to mention, they have beer / shot / side car trio deals on their drink menu and BRUNCH!”

“Moe's is the cleanest dive bar in Chicago. You can always tell a Chicago dive bar because they all have at least one dog. In this case, the dog belongs to JB Bartlett, the bar and music manager. It has music almost every night of the week. It's Battle of the Bands and open mics are a must for any rocker building up their resume.
