Places to stay in Beacon

Places to stay in Beacon
Steps from Main St, tucked cosily in the back of our home, is our bright and cheery sun room. The room has a private entrance, private bathroom, and a private deck with garden and mountain views.
Although located two blocks from Main St, the room is very quiet and peaceful. At night you can hear crickets chirping and see the stars from the large back window, deck, or yard. The recently renovated room is situated on the first floor and attached to the back of our home. It has its own private entrance and private renovated bathroom with soaking tub. The giant window in back affords plenty of light and you will wake up to the sun rising. The room has a mini fridge and though there's no kitchen or tv, there are many restaurants and pubs just steps away. **We have three children three and under and you will be able to hear them at times. It borders a thick exterior wall and we have soundproofed the door that leads to the guest room. Guests have told us our place was quiet compared to their apartment but just so you know, if you are opposed to this it may not be the right place for you!
Our place is in the middle of everything: we are just steps from Main Street where there are coffee shops, farm-to-table restaurants, craft beer pubs, and vintage stores. It's a 20-minute walk to the Metro North station with trains leaving nearly every hour for Grand Central Terminal (the trip takes about 90 minutes). Other places of note: 5-minute drive or 30-minute walk to Dia:Beacon museum, Mt Beacon, and the trails along the river. 10-minute drive to Breakneck Ridge. 25-minute drive to Storm King across the Hudson river.
  • Larysa made checking in nice and easy. The space itself was very clean and only a 2 minute walk from Main Street. We will definitely be staying again when we return to Beacon!

  • I quite enjoyed my time at Larysa’s place. It was very cozy and welcoming and in a great location. I appreciated the lovely minimalist decor, and I especially enjoyed the tub! All in all, this was a very peaceful getaway spot for me. It’s great for solo travelers looking to explore Beacon. I would definitely stay here again.

The studio has its own private, lockable entrance, separate from the main house, with self check-in. Comes equipped with Cable TV [including HBO and Showtime] and a dedicated, secure Wifi Network for fast streaming on your devices. You have a private full kitchen stocked with many basic utensils, appliances, and coffee. It also features your own private bathroom stocked with individual toiletries. Fresh towels and bedding are ready when you begin your stay.
This newly renovated, former in-law suite is completely separate from our main house. Overnight guests who have used the space have boasted it's quiet, private, and makes for excellent longer stays with a full kitchen for all kinds of in-stay cooking.
We live on a quiet, dead end street in a family dense neighborhood, but we are centrally located to many Hudson Valley destinations. Staying here means you’re always about 10-25 minutes from amazing restaurants, museums, and outdoor attractions, but can sleep and rest in a quant home on a tranquil street. The room comes stocked with a binder of ideas for restaurants and activities!
  • Very private and clean suite with great hosts!

  • Lisa is a wonderful host!

    Debra2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing space, comfy bed, accommodations, and a good kitchen! Check in is easy, and so is checking out. This place is really close to beacon, about a 5 min drive to main st. This has been my second time staying here and it wont be my last :)

    Remi2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa's place was a clean, private, comfy, and quiet space to lay our heads. Her response time to our inquiries was quick. She reached out to welcome us and checked in to see that all was well. Check-in was convenient with a lockbox combination that Lisa sent us several days prior to our arrival. Check-out worked the same. Lisa has made good use of a small space, creating a working kitchen plus a full bath. The location is a bit further from the interstate than we would like, especially since our stay was a quick overnight on our way to Boston. However, it obviously was not a deterrent to our decision to stay, because this is not the first time we have been Lisa's guests. Additionally, the residential location added to the peaceful quiet which we appreciated.

  • I have stayed twice at Cherrywood bnb, and it was great!

    Debra2020-02-21T00:00:00Z

  • Wonderful spot not far from Beacon and the neighboring towns. The space was cozy and just the right size to accommodate two people.

    Harold2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa is a wonderful host, and her suite is very cute and private. It had everything I needed, and she was always available as needed. It was my first air bnb experience, and it was great! Highly recommend!

A spacious room with calming blue colors in a colonial house built in the late 1800s with a serene backyard. We're a quick walk to Main St. attractions, shops, and restaurants, and a stroll away from hiking trails. Come and unwind in Beacon!
The room is spacious but cozy, with a comfy bed, and desk. It gets lots of sunshine, and has a view of our backyard. The house is on a quiet street, but is smack dab in the middle of all the action Beacon has to offer: shops, hiking, and museums.
Beacon is a perfect blend of small town vibe and the vibrancy of NYC. Main St. is filled with small boutiques, record and book stores, ice cream shops, bars, and more. We live on a quiet street that's perfect for an evening stroll down side streets, and minutes from the hustle and bustle of Main St.
  • Everythings like described. I enjoyed the calm and everything being clean and made with love. The cat was fun!

This cozy bedroom, along with the rest of the apartment is located on the ground floor of my home & has a private entry door through the back that goes into the backyard/patio. My property is .29 acres and includes an outdoor area as well as a spacious private driveway. Short walk to Mt. Beacon(right up the hill), Hudson River, train station Main St, (shops/restaurants). I am a quarter of a mile (10 min walk) from Mt. Beacon, 1-1.5 miles from Main St & Día.
Anything available in this apartment is available for use, the kitchen, bathroom, living room, etc. Laundry is available for an additional fee for anyone staying less than a week. If staying at least a week, laundry will be provided This apartment has a brand new stove & fridge that are available for use. Kitchen has all the essentials needed for basic use. If you need anything for cooking you can always feel free to ask! There is a spice rack available, basic cooking utensils and pots/pans. This is primarily a guest space, with homey touches.
Beacon is a great small little town with endless shops and restaurants to try on Main St. Walking outside and looking up at Mt. Beacon is my favorite part about this home. The walk to Mt. Beacon is no more than 10 minutes, walk to Main St. can vary on different factors, but is only a mile away(depending on where). Easy and fast access to busy highways, 84 & 87 Beacon is roughly an hour and a half from NYC/Queens area, and 30 minutes from popular shopping outlets- Woodbury Commons.
  • Very comfortable basement apartment with a great location for our needs. Our host Stephanie was very quick to respond with any needs and very much enjoyed our stay.

    Cathy2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • The place is A W E S O M E!!!!!!! HIGHLY recommend to people. i went with my two friends and the space was incredibly comfortable and clean. It is very private with lots of great amenities! Absolutely would come back and stay here again.

    Remy2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place for a quiet week away from NYC. It is just as easy to walk to Mt. Beacon as it is to walk to Main Street for shopping and dining. The apartment is super comfortable and private. It definitely felt like a home away from home.

    Jenni2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Stephanie’s place was great! Check in process was very simple & she was quick to send us instructions. The apartment is located only a 10-15 min walk from downtown area with breweries, restaurants, shops, etc. Everything was very clean and welcoming when we arrived. Highly recommended & would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

    Gerrit2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The place was very spacious and the bed was very comfy. Everything was very clean and ready for us.

    S-Jean2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Stephanie’s place was the perfect little getaway and was extremely cozy. The Netflix and Hulu accounts on the tv were also a huge plus. The drive to Main Street was nice and short and the whole neighborhood looked like it was worth living in, especially with the view of the mountain from the driveway. This was the most comfortable air bnb I’ve been to in years.

    Nick2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Stephanie's place was incredibly convenient to Beacon and the Hudson Valley at large. My primary reason for staying was to go to the brewery in town which was incredibly close and would have been walkable if not for less than desirable weather. Communication with the host was excellent and I was informed of all check-in and check-out instructions promptly.

    Mathieu2020-02-07T00:00:00Z

Very private cottage located less than 2 blocks from Main Street. Walk to the train, DIA Beacon, and Main Street galleries and restaurants in minutes. entrance allows guests to come and go freely. Guests also have their own private patio area complete with Adirondack chairs. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. Need a private place to wait out covid19? We will consider longer term rentals for a discount. Our spot is perfect for quiet as well as walking distance to groceries.
Only a block and a half from Main Street and within easy walking distance to Metronorth, our cozy cottage makes for a perfect weekend retreat in fabulous Beacon, NY. The cottage is in our backyard, and while right in the middle of Beacon, is very private. The yard is fully fenced, and guests can come and go freely from a separate entrance. The cottage has a bathroom, kitchenette (with fridge, microwave, sink, crock pot and toaster), double bed, and a twin size daybed. There is a TV/DVD but no internet access. We do not have cable, but have supplied the cottage with a nice collection of DVDs for guest use. There are plenty of free internet hot spots for optimum customers, and past guests have been successful creating hot spots using their phones or bringing mifi. The cottage is very light and airy, with lots of windows and a skylight. The bed is a new firm memory foam mattress. Memory Foam is different from box spring mattresses, and some folks take time to adjust to them. But for most, they are incredibly comfortable! The space is best for a solo traveler, couple, or for a small family. It cannot comfortably accommodate 3 adults. Beacon is only an hour and a half drive north of New York City, and an easy 80 minute ride on Metronorth's Hudson Line. Beacon is a fabulous little town with excellent shopping, museums (DIA Beacon), great restaurants and coffee shops, and even our own music venues! There is also incredible hiking in the area, including Mount Beacon & Breakneck Ridge. We are also only 20 minutes from Storm King Arts Center. The train and DIA Beacon are only a 10 minute walk from our house, and Main Street is literally around the corner, making our cottage a perfect retreat for a car-less NYC getaway. For those with cars, there is ample on-street parking. The cottage is fully heated, and can be rented year-round. We also have AC for hot summer nights, though we find the cottage cools down pretty substantially at night and is great for sleeping just with windows and fans.
Walk to DIA, restaurants, coffee shops, galleries, Long Dock Park and the River Park..... It is all a stones throw from our home.
  • Very convenient, quiet and clean.

  • We had a great time staying here in Beacon. Super easy check in and out and you can’t get much closer to Main Street.

    Caitlin2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable, centric, and private cottage a couple minuets walk from Main Street. I’d easily recommend it to others visiting Beacon.

    Richard2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect resting spot for a great weekend in Beacon! Exactly as described - the best part is the location...no need for a car to explore the town. We also really appreciated the late checkout - much nicer to explore DIA without our luggage!

    Kate2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • R’s place was great! Right off Main Street in the heart of town, it made a great jump off point to see Beacon. The place itself was cozy, exactly as described and overall great. We didn’t meet the host, but R was very responsive via message and I’ll definitely be back to stay again if I pass through Beacon.

    Sandra K.2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot to stay in Beacon, especially for a solo traveler. It’s right off of Main Street so you’re super close to all the shops and restaurants. The host was very quick to respond to any questions or inquiries I had during my stay. The space itself was very clean, quaint, and just what I was looking for. There were even coffee grounds in a small mason jar in the kitchenette area - so cute! Highly recommend.

  • The space is exactly as described. Very secluded and private, as well as accessible to the nearby town - cute shops and restaurants. Awesome getaway and breathtaking panoramic views. Carefully designed and indulgent space-awesome lighting, textiles and perfect hot tub for unwinding. Icelandic horses and donkeys onsite to greet you add to the experience. Overall a memorable experience.

  • Beautiful unique stay. Lots of hiking and fresh air. Definitely recommend a car. The driveway itself feels like 2 miles. Love the horsies and donkies.

  • If I could I would stay there every weekend

    Yitzy2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • What a special spot for a relaxing weekend away. The views are spectacular and the suite is so comfortable - having the hot tub there as well really contributed to an unforgettable trip. The horses and ponies downstairs very much added to our experience and made the visit that much more special. Thank you Charlotte for being an amazing host!

    Allison2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The place was amazing. Was a great place for a special weekend!

    John2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Only stayed 1 of 2 nights booked, but was still able to enjoy the AWESOME hot tub. The space is private and a great place to watch horror films at night!

    Khoa2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent in every way. Stayed here for a quiet christmas and was not disappointed. Everything was well kept and clean, easy to use. Our one issue was resolved within the hour. Incredible views, fantastic light, really lived up to the listing and worth every penny. Would stay here again without hesitating.

    William2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place is an absolute gem in the Hudson Highlands. It is exactly as described and pictured in the listing. The location is secluded yet accessible with plenty of dining, shopping, and outdoor activities just a few minutes away. The unobstructed west facing views are unmatched especially from golden hour through sunset. The suite itself is a pinnacle of coziness and style. We were lucky enough to be welcomed to Lambs Hill during the first significant snowfall of the year and the feeling of sitting in the outdoor hot tub in the snow overlooking the Hudson valley is one I won't soon forget. And perhaps most impressively, sharing an abode with two Icelandic ponies and two mini donkeys was one of the most unique rental experiences I've had, you'll be hard pressed to find cuter roommates! I highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a rejuvenating escape from their day-to-day.

  • Really great space and location. The house is super cozy, clean, and comfortable. It was a perfect getaway. The location is amazing-just a 10 min walk to Main St. The house is very quiet and relaxing. Would love to stay there again.

  • What's not to like?! Very clean, well stocked, nicely appointed and renovated. Streaming apps and good sound system too. And a fire pit in the spacious yard. Oh and it's a pleasant, short walk to Main Street. I had a perfect three-day getaway and hope to go back.

  • Jeff’s Beacon bungalow was just as described. Adorable, cozy and convenient to everything in Beacon! It was a great get away for our small family. Highly recommended to anyone considering a stay. We especially liked that it was set far off from the road so we didn’t hear any of the traffic noise and it really felt very private. My son enjoyed roasting marshmallows in the fire pit outback so that was a nice added amenity. We would definitely stay there again.

    Valeria2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Really cute house in a great location. I cannot recommend it enough.

    Ariane2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This little bungalow was perfect for our getaway. Everything we needed was walking distance. Technically we could have walked from the train station, but with our bags we opted for a $5 Uber instead. The stairwell is a little short, so taller people may have trouble (I’m 6’4.) We ended up using the kitchen quite a bit, so we were grateful that it was stocked with the equipment we needed. For the price we paid, we considered this place a great value.

    Frank2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Jeff's home was perfect for our group of three adults, my husband and I, and our 20+ daughter. The two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, were simply but elegantly furnished. We all slept well. The living/dining/kitchen spaces were also thoughtfully put together. We had room to relax, lighting was nice, throws kept us warm. Bathroom had lots of good towels, plenty of hot water.

Spacious cottage with access to a big back yard with fruit trees and vegetable garden beds, walking distance from the train and Main street. The cottage also functions as a photo gallery for the photographer Gil Gofer, presenting several images from his work around the world.
The cottage has a beautiful bathroom, kitchenette (with fridge, toaster oven and a coffee maker), dining table, new queen size bed, desk area and a couch. There is internet access and a TV/DVD (no cable, but a collection of DVDs). The cottage is very bright and airy, with 2 ceiling fans and 6 windows. The cottage is best suitable for a couple, or for a couple with a baby (pack and play available upon request).
Mount beacon and several other hikes, Dia Beacon, coffee shops, restaurants, galleries, shops, the river all are within few minutes walk or drive.
  • Sweet, quiet little home base in Beacon. Walking distance to a GREAT breakfast spot - The Beacon Daily, just two blocks away, highly recommend it! Check-in was easy, bed was comfy, plenty of space. If you're looking for antiques, we found the best places were over the river in Newburgh - just 15 minutes away.

    Jen2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Eli and Taly’s cottage is a modern intimate and quiet spot to take advantage of all Beacon has to offer. It was cozy on a chilly weekend, and in warmer climes probably a really short walk from Main St. The interior is modern, crisp and clean, and a great home base for Hudson adventures. Cant wait to visit again!

  • Another terrific stay at the Cottage. My husband and I are regular visitors to Beacon and the Cottage is our “go to” place to stay. Perfect location, super clean, great hosts plus a really relaxing and spacious home.

  • Eli and Taly's place was the perfect place to stay while exploring Beacon. Cute private cottage that was a short walk from all the shops and restaurants on Main Street. My girlfriend and I spent a week here, and it was an amazing getaway!

  • Great space, and even better hosts. Location is prime and the space is well thought out. This is a perfect Airbnb to get away for the weekend!

  • Beautiful space within walking distance of Beacon’s charming Main Street shopping. Stylish, inviting, fun and comfortable. Highly recommend checking it out and having a classy/artsy experience on your weekend getaway.

  • Nico and Susan's house is an incredible, fanatic design and really well thought through space. The tips and recommendations they left had received equal attention to detail as the rest of the house. We enjoyed our stay in Beacon and this was a big reason why. Hopefully we'll be back!

    Sam2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Nico and Susan's place was a great place for us to stay on our Beacon getaway. It was stylish, modern yet cozy, and super clean. We could walk to anywhere in town within 15 minutes. There are plenty of things to do from seeing live music to eating tasty donuts. Highly recommend!

    Gil2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Nicolas and Susan’s place is probably my favorite Airbnb experience to date. The space is beautifully designed and has every amenity you could possibly need. We had a low key Thanksgiving here and it was exactly what we were looking for. I loved perusing their books on art and design and had a lot of fun with the chalk wall. This is the perfect place to come to unwind or if you’re making a trip up to see Dia it’s about 10 minutes away. The sweet kitty cats were also a pleasant surprise on our way out. I would definitely stay here again and hope to soon!

    Jamey2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Nicolas and Susan’s place is amazing! It’s spacious, super clean and so cozy. It’s perfectly located and we were able to walk to the main drag in 7 minutes. It’s a great place to stay for a weekend getaway. We didn’t have a car and walked from the train. Would love to stay again in the future! Highly highly recommend! Thanks again!!

  • Beautiful carriage house very Close to main St in Beacon. Clean, spacious and fun. Loved the chalkboard and art supplies.

    Karen2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Nicolas and Susan’s place was outstanding. Wonderful natural light streams into the room every morning. Big kitchen to move around in and cook. The lofted bedroom don’t have full walls. Which was fine with us but just something to take note of for other groups. And the kitties were very friendly and made the trip even more enjoyable!

Rustic stone cottage nestled in a private forested lake community. Only a 5 minute walk down to the lake and gazebo. This cozy 1930’s cabin offers plenty of room to relax. The interior is open and airy with vaulted ceilings and ceiling fans. Relax in an enclosed porch or enjoy our outdoor patio and grill. Just a 10 minute drive (Uber/Taxi) from Cold Spring train station. NOTE: To enter the basement (1/2 bathroom & laundry room) you need to exit the house. Also, there is AC in one bedroom only.
  • We had an amazing time at Linda’s beautiful cottage and would love to visit again in the future. The communication was super easy and quick and the place looks exactly like it does in the pictures. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed to feel at home. Thank you for everything!

  • We had a great time at Linda’s beautiful Valhalla cottage with our friends. We went at the beginning of December to have a quiet weekend with some walks and a drive or two to nearby attractions. The house is very well appointed and was perfect for the four of us, with comfortable beds and furniture. The community and lake are a wonderful place to hang out, and the lookout has some of the best Hudson Valley views in the area.

  • Linda’s place was so comfortable and such a fun place to hang out. The beds were super comfortable hand the location was convenient and picturesque.

  • This is a beautiful, comfortable, rustic home in a great location. It didn't take us long to get there from the city and was a 10-minute drive to shops and restaurants in Cold Spring, yet it felt peaceful being in the woods with just a short walk to the lake. I highly recommend going in the fall. We had a beautiful weekend there in late October.

    Beth2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location. Exactly as pictured and we had a great experience. Host is amazingly responsive. Everything we expected and more. 5 min walk to the lake. We loved it and would recommend unconditionally.

Charming and cozy mini basement apartment with a private entrance, west end of Beacon. Steps from historic Main Street, shopping and Metro North train station. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
Private one bedroom mini basement apartment with Full size bed, kitchenette and bathroom with shower. The wet bar has a microwave but no oven. The wet bar has a portable sink design with bleach added for sanitizing, which is only to be used to wash dishes and discard liquid. However all other running water is drinkable. There is also hot plate, there is no hood so guests must limit the cooking to boiling and steaming and refrain from frying or sauteing. The ceiling is thin and you will hear guest upstairs during normal hours, put on some background music that helps a lot.
Quiet residential neighborhood just off Main Street close to galleries, coffee shops and shopping. In addition to an active visual art scene, Beacon now has an equally vibrant music scene with all kinds of music available. Not suitable for parties. Only quiet guests who would like to take advantage of the fabulous dining, arts, hiking and shopping that Beacon has to offer. -- You can walk everywhere--

  • This was a nice stay in Beacon. The location is very close to Main Street and everything is within a walkable distance. Mirtek was quick to respond and even super flexible. We had an emergency pop up just before we originally scheduled to stay and he let us reschedule for another weekend very easily. It was much appreciated. We were gifted a bottle of Prosecco and the space was cute and fair for the price. The shower was really nice and the heat works just fine! We would definitely recommend this place if you need a nice spot to stay for your trip to Beacon!

Billie's room is a very comfortable room in our historic 5 bedroom home in Beacon, NY. Our property is 1.8 acres and includes a large outdoor area with seating, a grill and a sport court. This room is on the 2nd floor and has a full sized bed. There are 2 full bathrooms, one on each floor, both are shared. We have other bedrooms listed on Airbnb as well as our entire home for those that prefer exclusive use. Short walk to train, DIA, Mt. Beacon, Hudson River, Main St (shops/restaurants).
Our house was built in 1794 making it more than 200 years old - second oldest house in Beacon. The house is preserved and cozy. We have nearly 2 acres of property that consists of yard and woods. We have a basketball/pickleball court. Pickleball is a fun easy game that can be played by 2 or 4 players. Outdoor grilling and seating with lights also for chilling.
Our home is a few blocks walk to the train station as well as to Main Street. Great for eating at any of the many delicious restaurants or shopping/browsing the shops and galleries. There are hiking trails along the river starting at the train station or a walk from our end of town to the other will bring you to the foot of Mt. Beacon and awesome trails that lead you to the top.

(Psst... Hey you, person thinking about booking: Please message me first to confirm, and also please read the entire listing as it likely answers any questions you may have.) Steps to The Roundhouse and perfect for wedding guests and those without a car... Hello and welcome to the best place in Beacon! Wake up to the sounds of the burbling creek and the site of Mount Beacon rising in the distance. This listing is for a full first-floor apartment with a private entrance (the rest of the house may also be available for rent as well if you have a particularly large party. It can be seen here: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/10599673) The place comes complete with a super-comfy Casper bed, comfy sofa seating area, work space with large desk, a kitchenette and dining area, and a large bathroom with bathtub. See why Beacon as just named the #1 "Coolest Small Town" in America by Budget Travel magazine! This is a unique and immaculately clean home (seriously: read the reviews), Seriously: This is the BEST POSSIBLE location in Beacon. It's steps to the action of Main Street's thriving East End (the creek and the Roundhouse are right there), yet feels like it is alone in nature, with Mount Beacon rising behind it and beautiful Fishkill Creek (a protected wetland nature reserve) burbling directly in front. Open your windows, and all you hear is the peaceful sound of running water (nature's white noise machine!). And the Beacon Falls waterfall is just seconds away You are also a quick a 25-minute walk to the Beacon Metro North train station, and a short walk to the Mount Beacon trailhead for hiking. There is also plentiful parking for numerous vehicles. As for the wonderful spots along Main Street, you couldn't be closer: Stumble out your door for coffee and pie at Ella's Bellas, grab a delicious meal at The Beacon Hotel, drink beer at the Hudson Valley Brewery, eat ramen at Quinn's, see a live show at The Towne Crier, or walk out the door to attend a wedding, cocktail, or five-star meal at The Roundhouse. The house was designed to merge the old and the new. Vintage mid-century pieces live next to the rustic, reclaimed, and modern. Classic design and modern technology allow for the best of both worlds. The listing includes: -A plush mid-century-style bed with a super-comfy Casper mattress (some folks say it's the most comfortable they've ever slept on!) -A spacious seating area with a sofa comfy enough to kick back on. -A large desk/work area for pushing paper and getting work done. -A functional kitchenette and dining area. The kitchenette includes an induction cooktop, microwave, mini-fridge, electric kettle, and basic dishes and utensils. (Great for a quick snack, but you won't want to cook a giant meal here). -A projector ready to cover the entire wall with Netflix, Hulu, and other streaming services. -Unbeatable creek-front location, creating a quiet nature-filled oasis, just steps from the best spots on Main Street. Seriously, you won't find a better location in Beacon. -Blazing fast Wi-Fi Internet. -Touchpad smartlock for keyless entry and effortless check-in and coming-and-going. What you may not like about the place: -There's plenty of light when the shades are open, but if you close them it can get a bit dark and you may want to step outside for the sunshine. -Since there is a unit above it, you may hear occasional light footsteps, even at night. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: Q: Do I need to bring towels or linens? What about a hairdryer or iron? A: Nope! I provide all these things. Same with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Q: How will I receive the key and how many keys will I get? A: The house features a keyless entry system with a code that lasts as long as your stay. This allows for effortless check-in and entry. Q: I see there is a limit on how many guests can stay in the house. Does that include children/infants? A: The listed limit (note it is different for guests who rent the full house including the upstairs house) is a function of my insurance coverage and children definitely count as people to insurance. The upstairs unit is quite a bit larger if you have a larger party! Also, please understand that the listed "extra person" charges are also a function of the increased cost for me to insure larger parties, including children and infants. Q: Is the place professionally cleaned between guests? A: Yes, and I take pride in providing a clean home for guests. Take a look at my reviews—I think you'll find my guests agree! Q: I am looking for a last-minute stay. Can I make a same-day booking? A: If you're looking for a same-day booking and the place is free, please inquire and I'll try! It depends on whether my cleaning crew can spring into action at the last-minute, which isn't a sure thing. For same-day bookings, check-in may also have to be later than the listed time in order to make sure the place is ready. Still, can't hurt to ask! Q: I know it says "No Animals". Can I bring my small/well-behaved dog? A: I love dogs, but my short-term rental insurance expressly forbids them, and I have a family member with a severe dog allergy so sadly can not have them anywhere in the house at any time. I thank you for your understanding on this. Q: What's my total booking price? A: I honestly have no idea. With fees included, Airbnb only shows the guest, and not the host, the total cost. This figure should be present after you enter your dates. Note that, pricing varies on a daily basis, and Airbnb actually uses some crazy algorithm to adjust it automatically, so I don't actually control this. ONE LAST THING: I really, really appreciate that you followed directions and read the whole thing. PLEASE PUT THE PHRASE: "Bonus points are fun!" AT THE TOP OF YOUR MESSAGE so I know you did so as such bookings tend to go so much smoother! And thanks for hanging in there! Oh, and if you're looking for another nearby getaway, check out my Glass House tiny house: An off-grid glass-enclosed tiny home on a 30-acre farm with views of rolling vineyards and apple orchards, just 25 minutes from Beacon. It's truly magical: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/17865668

  • Seth’s place was fantastic for a weekend getaway! The apartment was sparkling clean and Seth is an extremely detailed host. We had no problems getting in touch and Seth was agile and responsive if we had any issues or questions. A few things of note that are important to know before booking is that this space does not have a kitchen. No worries though, beacon boasts so many amazing restaurants. My personal favorite is BJ’s and All You Knead bakery! This place is also is on a very public intersection— it is quiet most times and Seth provides a nifty white noise machine just in case you’re a delicate sleeper.

The house is super close to Main Street - we stayed for a wedding at the Roundhouse, which is a less than 5 minute walk. Great stay. Thanks for having us!

Cute studio apartment one block from the shops, bars, and restaurants of main street and walking distance to the Metro-North train station, DIA Beacon, and hiking on Mount Beacon. Private entrance, full kitchen, and a garden. Fire pit, grill, and outdoor dining set for you to use. If you are a musician with a gig in the area, ask us about our special deal for working musicians.
Our place is a small, efficiency style studio in the basement, though it gets lots of natural light. Please note: The ceilings are a bit low; they are about 6'6" (198 cm) from the floor. Also, we don't have air conditioning. The basement stays quite cool, especially if you close the curtains and windows during the day and open them at night. There is a fan available.
We're near great dining such as The Vault, Melzingah Tap House, and the Roundhouse, as well as cafes like Ella's Bellas, Trax, and Beacon Falls Cafe. Beacon Theater, which shows classic movies, is only steps away, as is beautiful Beacon Falls. Be sure to view the Falls at night when it's colorfully lit up!
  • Steve is a delightful host and super-responsive to any questions or needs. It is a no-frills, ground floor apartment; but it is clean with a super-comfortable bed and lovely natural light. We didn't have a car and it was perfect for walking around Beacon or getting to a hiking trail head. It's about a 25/30-minute walk (uphill at the start) from the Metro North train station. We did have one concern with the sound of the heating pipes keeping us awake at night (we are light sleepers), but Steve was kind enough to make an adjustment which mitigated the problem. Nice touch to have a few board games and musical instruments which we enjoyed playing. Steve's Air BnB was wonderful!

    Alison2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very cosy and comfortable in a great location. Steve is a great host and communication with him was excellent. He always gave a quick response to our queries. We would definitely go back again.

  • Great location! Right next to downtown. Everything about our stay was seamless.

    Laura2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Cute and cozy little area with a nice mini kitchen. It was perfect for a weekend getaway.

    Abigail2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Steve's place in Beacon! The place is very well located, just few minutes walking from Main st., perfect to visit the town by walk. The place was cleaned and comfortable, and we particularly appreciated our privacy. Great accommodation for a weekend escape from the city. Definitely recommended!

    Pamela2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Steve’s place is in a great location. Place was very clean and I enjoyed a great nights sleep on their comfortable bed

    Hector2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • The stay in beacon was amazing. Just like was stated in the description, everything was so close to the place. The town reminds me of nyc. I would consider moving to beacon. The movie theatre on main st is so nice! Having a guitar in the place was definitely a plus because I’m gonna start learning how to play.

    Kyle2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Just the refuge my boyfriend and I needed for a nice 3-day weekend getaway! We had the whole place to ourselves and the location is incredible! Neither of us had cars, but Main St. is very short walk away and has basically everything you need! We even walked to the Dia: Beacon which was lovely. Would definitely love to stay here again in the future!

Recently renovated studio apartment in an 1870 brick house. The studio includes a new queen sized bed, a new couch, a compact but full kitchen, and an updated bathroom. There is an amazing, peaceful creekside forest glen directly behind the building for your peaceful enjoyment in any season This listing has been modified for coronavirus/covid as (see below) The house is walking distance from Main St and central Beacon. It's a perfect space for one or two people escaping to the Hudson Valley.
This apartment is small but recently renovated (spring 2018) and has been constantly updated since. It's on the first floor of the building, so easy for anyone who has trouble with stairs. The apartment has new floors throughout. The original 1870 oak floor in the main room was just refinished and is in amazing condition. The entry foyer, kitchen and bathroom have new vinyl plank flooring which is super durable and ideal for wet conditions. The renovation uncovered an original brick fireplace, which has been cleaned and restored with an electric fireplace system. It has many settings for different colors, light levels, a timer, and (optional) heat settings. It's much safer and cleaner than the wood burning fireplace, with almost as much charm. The kitchen is compact but efficient. There is a full sized stove, oven and refrigerator. Appliances include a microwave and a coffee maker, with coffee, creamers and sugar supplied. There is even a water filter & tank in the refrigerator to provide the cleanest possible drinking water. Let me know if you need any special cooking equipment. I have several apartments and can often get special items from another one for you. The bathroom is simple but spacious for an apartment this size. It has a stand up shower, a small closet, and a brand new, elongated toilet. There is a lovely full-sized window to look out at the side yard - fully equipped with both blinds and curtains for your privacy. The recent renovation also included new light fixtures throughout, new paint everywhere, a new air conditioner, new furniture, and all new linens. The outdoor space is amazing, unique for this area and super peaceful. Though the front of the house is on a major street, the back of the house is a Hudson Valley gem. Directly behind the house are abandoned railway tracks (last used in the 1960's). Beyond that is a broad strip of forest next and Beacon's famous Fishkill Creek. On the other side of the creek is more urban forest with mossy rocks and the ridge of Mt Beacon in the distance (views of the mountains are better in the late fall through early spring). Just upstream of my house are some rapids in the creek, which provide a constant backdrop of the sound of running water. Downstream, the creek slows down. About half a mile down (you can walk it on the tracks in about 10 minutes) you get to Beacon's famous waterfall, the Roundhouse, and Main St. Regularly seen wildlife include deer (pretty much every day), ducks, geese, blue heron, turtles, fish (I wish I knew what kind), raccoons, squirrels, chipmunks, beaver (I haven't seen them but I've seen the trees they chew), and a cute chubby groundhog. My favorite is the blue heron, which is a large bird with a long neck and long beak. It glides super gracefully right over the creek, following every bend at about 30 feet up and hardly flapping its wings at all. I'm pretty sure I've seen at least 2 nests from the creek in my kayak. What is so amazing about the outdoor space is that it's so private and so close to the center of town. From the neighborhood and the front of the house, you'd never think of the area for its nature. But once you get to the back you're in a different world. I have no residential neighbors, so you pretty much have the place to yourself. MODIFICATIONS FOR COVID/CORONAVIRUS - Minimum 7 night stay - Minimum 48 hours between guest stays - Enhanced cleaning between guest stays (all linens are white and cleaned with bleach, all surfaces, counters, knobs, switches, etc disinfected with bleach & hydrogen peroxide, disinfectant wipes provided for guest use) - Cleaning fee increased to $150 - Special cleaning requests will be considered - There is a beautiful, isolated, natural outdoor space along the creek directly behind the house (see photos). It's perfect for fresh air and peaceful contemplation while social distancing. You can also walk along the abandoned railway tracks to Main St (5-10 min) or for hours in either direction, along scenic Fishkill Creek. - The WiFi is excellent (FiOS & Google Mesh) - TV available upon request - Monthly rates available - This is not a place to recover if you have COVID/coronavirus or its symptoms. This is a place to be more comfortable for remote work, social distancing, and mental peace. Because of the value and the location, I tend to be booked fairly solidly. The good news is if you're reading this, it's probably available when you're planning to visit.
The apartment is a short walk from Main St, but a fairly long walk (or short cab/Uber) from the train station and Dia. This end of town has more shopping, galleries, art studios, the Roundhouse, the waterfall, and more of the beautiful old architecture. It's a great place to be, particularly if you're spending more than an afternoon here in Beacon. The abandoned railroad tracks run right behind the building. You can walk along them to the center of town (Main St, Roundhouse, etc) in about 10 minutes. You can hike in either direction for miles for an adventure along Fishkill Creek. You'll see plenty of nature, abandoned and repurposed industrial sites, secluded areas, and a couple bustling intersections. If you're not into walking on the tracks, you can also get to Main St along Fishkill Ave which has a sidewalk the entire way, once you cross the street. Directly across the street is Memorial Park (a huge park with various sports fields and a dog run). Ron's Ice Cream is the closest shop. It's famous for simple kids food like hamburgers & hot dogs - particularly popular with kids after playing in the park. I am actively clearing and landscaping the outdoor spaces alongside and behind the house.

We are adjacent to both a pond and a stream with a swimming hole (delightful in the summer). The house itself features a large barn space with double doors that open out into the front yard, perfect for gatherings inside and out. We also have a half-dozen chickens who provide fresh eggs.
Our house is secluded yet centrally located between the village of Cold Spring and the town of Beacon, both featuring restaurants, galleries, museums (DIA:Beacon), and shopping. Also nearby are the renowned Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, kayaking and canoeing in the Hudson River, and miles of hiking trails, including the Appalachian Trail and Breakneck Ridge.
  • Really enjoyed our stay! Great property with plenty of land and rivers for exploring. Feels remote but just a short drive to cold spring for groceries, restaurants etc. Definitely hope to visit this home again!

    Gregory2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • A great place! The house is colorful inside and out, and full of art and decor. Our group enjoyed converted barn, with its wood stove, many seating options, and open space. We could see stars from the rooftop hot tub. Upstairs, there is a large lofted bedroom, one small bedroom for one person, and 3 medium-sized bedrooms that can fit couples; and downstairs, there are several couches and daybeds in three living rooms.

  • Great location and lovely space!

    Rachel2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Pictures don’t do the house justice! It’s an old house which makes it incredibly unique, yet they have modern touches such as the hot tub, new washer and dryer, beautiful bathroom and even wireless chargers in the bedroom. Location is perfect; about a 15 minute drive from Downtown Beacon and 15 min in the other direction to Cold Spring (maybe less!). The hot tub (on the upper deck!) and the fireplaces were amazing to have in the winter. Valeria was very flexible when we ended up arriving earlier than expected. I felt some of the communication to be short and a few messages went unanswered but overall a fantastic experience. Would definitely stay here again.

    Ariana2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and lovely hosts! Would love to visit again.

  • The farmhouse on Horton Road is a perfect gathering place for family and close friends. Ample and comfortable spaces, plenty of everything you would need- linens, kitchenware, basics. It felt like home! This is a rambling, well tended old house surrounded by beautiful woods. We loved waking up to morning light coming in through the big window in artist loft . Our family had a special time and we look forward to returning.

  • Jessica and Steve's place was perfect for our couples weekend away in Beacon. The decor really made the apartment special - charming, vintage-inspired, with gorgeous handmade ceramic pieces throughout the apartment. We had everything we needed for our stay and were quite comfortable with a group of 4 adults. Check in and check out were seamless. It was an easy walk to places on the eastern side of town- Melzingah Tap House, Draught Industries - but given the cold weather, we were happy to have a car to get to Dia. We'd definitely stay here again!

  • This is a fantastic place. Very cute and convenient. Very easy check in. Super easy to communicate—we extended our stay a the last minute.

    Matt2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying here! We decided to stay here after our wedding for a few nights to re-charge and disconnect a bit. Jessica was easy to communicate with at all times. When we arrived we were greeted by a little note and a bottle of bubbly to celebrate our brand new marriage. Main street was super close so we enjoyed aome shopping and fun dinning. The decor in the apartment was adorable. A fun, eclectic mix of artsy furniture, colors and textures. Needless to say that as a print designer I’m obsessed about that stairwell wallpaper! They also had a beautifully handmade guide to all the cool things to do around Beacon, which we took full advantage of. Loved our stay! If we ever return we will definitely stay here of we can!

  • Christina & Andre’s space is fantastic! The location is right by Main Street and there was even a local guide on the coffee table featuring go-to spots in the area. Christina made sure that our experience was positive from the start! Once I mentioned that my friend was coming along, she proactively offered to set up an extra bed for her. Talk about great hospitality! Everything was sparkling clean and the check in was so smooth. There was great communication throughout and just an aesthetically pleasing place overall with special touches (we loved the map in the kitchen marking attractions on Main St). It was enjoyable coming back each night to our peaceful getaway in Beacon! Thanks Christina & Andre!

  • I've stayed in a ton of airnbnbs and Christina's is honestly one of the best I have ever stayed in. She's super responsive and easy to communicate with, the place itself was spacious, cozy, with wonderful amenities (thanks for the makeup remover wipes!) and a kitchen with all basic needs. The location is excellent, close to town, quiet and with easy self check-in. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely book again if we come back to Beacon.

    Benaifer2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Christina’s place! We ended up booking it rather last minute and she was very quick to communicate with information for check in as well as through out our visit. She graciously set up a bed for our toddler in the living room that was perfect-special for them and also didn’t impact the use of that space. She also had a pack n play set up for us as well as a few kid books and toys out and available/such kind and thoughtful touches! The space is beautiful-such a unique and stylish use of space. The kitchen is great and equipped for some simple meals. She provides a very thorough guide to all the great food/drink establishments in Beacon which is very helpful! We can’t wait to go back!

    Hillary2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Christina was super helpful/accommodating before I arrived. The place was decorated so nicely and very clean. We could walk to restaurants/breweries/downtown, but took a car from the train station and to the hiking trail. Would definitely come back!

  • We loved our weekend at Christina's place. It was sparkling clean, cozy, and full of thoughtful and stylish touches. We were close to Main Street with all its restaurants and shops, and five minutes from the Roundhouse, where we were attending a wedding, along with Hudson Valley Brewery, one of our favorite spots that we visited. We also appreciated the easy self check-in and responsive communication. Definitely make this your home base on your trip to Beacon!

A cozy, sun filled room in a colonial house built in the late 1800s with a serene backyard. We're a quick walk to Main St. attractions, shops, and restaurants, and a stroll away from hiking trails. Come on over and unwind in Beacon!
The room is a cozy space with a comfy bed, lots of sunshine, and a view of the backyard. The house is on a quiet, little street, but is smack dab in the middle of all the action Beacon has to offer: shops, hiking, and museums.
  • This was a great place! Would definitely recommend.

  • A local gem in Beacon, NY! Walking distance to local shops, restaurants, and breweries. Brendan + Lee left so many thoughtful touches in the room, which made our stay comfortable. • Brendan+Lee’s place is awesome. It is so close to the Main Street and to the mount beacon hiking trail. Brendan and Lee are very nice, friendly people. They gave me good tips about the neighborhood. The place was sparkling clean. The cats are sweet. The orange one is my favorite. Such a pleasure to stay here. Would love to come back.

Casey's room is a very comfortable room in our historic 5 bedroom home in Beacon, NY. Our property is 1.8 acres and includes a large outdoor area with seating, a grill and a sport court. This room is on the 2nd floor and has a king sized bed. There are 2 full bathrooms, one on each floor, both are shared. We have other bedrooms listed on Airbnb as well as our entire home for those that prefer exclusive use. Short walk to train, DIA, Mt. Beacon, Hudson River, Main St (shops/restaurants).
Our house was built in 1794 making it more than 200 years old. The house is preserved and cozy. We have nearly 2 acres of property that consists of yard and woods. We have a basketball/pickleball court. Pickleball is a fun easy game that can be played by 2 or 4 players.
  • Comfortable and relaxed setting indoors and out.

  • Patricia's home was absolutely lovely, and you can't beat the value or the location! A beautiful and historic home with so many thoughtful and personal touches, and very well maintained!

  • Great location to visit Dia Beacon by train!

  • Tricia couldn't have been more helpful and we had a very nice short stay. The house's location makes it easy to visit Dia:Beacon and the shops and restaurants of Main St. The communal areas are very spacious, homely and comfortable. The only negative thing I'd say is that I found the mattress in Casey's room didn't give me the support I needed for my back but I do find that's quite a common problem for me when sleeping away from home.

    Nick2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy and quiet nearby to train museum and more

    Rhea2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Patricia’s home was cozy and clean. Located a quick walk from the Beacon train station and Main st. She was great with communicating and answering any question I had. I would recommend staying here.

  • Tricia’s home is really lovely, and makes Beacon so walkable! She was really helpful making sure we had everything we needed to get settled in. We had a great time visiting for the weekend, our room was warm and cozy while it snowed outside, and the house has a lot of common space. You even get a bonus staircase that’s a shortcut to the kitchen.

Tuck away for peace in a quiet residential neighborhood located at the foot of the Mount Beacon, is our fully renovated 1966 cozy camper—a fifteen minute walk to Main st. The camper comes equipped with an electric fan during the summer months so you can stay cool in the cozy cocoon!
Located a five minute walk from Mount Beacon, spend the day hiking the Hudson Valley's famous trails or strolling along Beacon's Main Street while taking in shops, art galleries, bars, craft beer brew pubs, and restaurants. Retire for the night to the BEACON MOUNTAIN COCOON, a fully restored cozy 1966 Serro Scotty camper in all of its renovated glory, located in a quiet residential neighborhood. Pick up local meats from our nearby butcher and veggies from in-town markets, and enjoy preparing a wonderful dinner on one of our two grills. Crack open a bottle of local beer or wine and eat a delicious dinner in the Cocoon's dinette. After another look at Mount Beacon as the sun sets, you retire to the Queen ( it's the width of a queen but shorter. If you are more than 6'1" it will be tight) rear bed with quality linens equipped with extra blankets, an electric heater, and flannel sheets to ensure you stay warm. The mountain breeze will lull you to sleep in the silence broken only by the occasional owl 'hoot' or coyote howl in the distance. You awake to experience the sunrise with the finest coffee (or hot cocoa) prepared in your very own French coffee press and another day in a paradise you can't imagine is so close.
We live in a quiet residential neighborhood tucked away at the foot of the mountain.

  • Mike and Zoraida could not have been more warm and welcoming, they gave us a great suggestion for a restaurant, and shared freshly baked cheesecake with us! We had a great stay and wished we could have stayed longer to take advantage of the grill and the sweet little hammock. We sat outside under the full moon and let our city troubles fade away, then got nice and cozy in the camper and slept so well.

  • GREAT location! We were able to spend the entire weekend walking around Beacon without having to Uber. Room was very clean with easy to navigate locks on front and bedroom doors. Would stay again.

  • Such a beautiful place and the perfect location to explore all of Beacon! This room definitely seems the best of the 3 rooms :)

  • Our stay at Sandra’s was lovely! The house is, as she writes, very centrally located and convenient. Everything was very clean, the kitchenette was thoughtfully stocked, and the room was beautiful. Would happily stay again!

    Victoria2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The space is so cute and feels really safe with the electric locked doors. It is the most convenient location and closer to the better part of Main Street. It has its own kitchen and living space too. It’s basically like a clean, private hostel. Sandra was so quick to help us with everything as well. I would definitely recommend staying here!!

  • My stay at Sandra's Airbnb was perfect!! As a host, Sandra is very responsive and helpful (providing info about things to see and do). The location is a stone's throw from Main Street Beacon, literally a one minute walk and you're on Main Street. If you're driving, there's ample parking on the premises too. Check-in was quick and easy. The lodging is incredibly clean and comfortable, there's a cozy shared space loaded with art books and a small kitchen with fridge and coffeemaker as well. The bathroom is very clean and roomy, great shower btw. **Note that you will have to climb up a staircase to access lodging, nothing out of the ordinary. I really enjoyed everything about my stay and everything about Beacon, NY, looking forward to visiting again, Cheers!

  • The house is really nice! Clean and well organized. Great location. You can get to the Main Street very easily. Sandra helps us a lot and told us a lot about the town. It is really a wonderful experience ! Highly recommended!

Immaculate, cozy and quiet! Come check out all that beautiful Beacon has to offer! Nestled in the heart of the Hudson Valley, this sunny space is located a short walk from the base of Mt. Beacon as well a short walk to Main Street which has a multitude of craft beer/wine bars, restaurants, shops and art galleries. The Dia Art Gallery and The Two Way Brewery are two great stops on your way to this Air BNB space from the Metro North Train Station (just a short UBER ride away).
    Quiet, clean, cozy space!
  • Place was super clean and neat. Close to everything. Great for a weekend stay. Lisa and Mark respond very quickly should any questions arise. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to going back to Beacon.

  • Lisa & Mark's place was cozy, quiet, very clean and well-maintained, and full of lovely decorative touches reflecting the local scenery and culture. Helpful to-do tips and a fully-furnished kitchen were a plus. Wonderful hosts, highly recommended for vacationers getting away for a while, or like me, just visiting for a short period for business.

    Joseph2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa and Mark's place was spotless and full of amenities! It's a prime location if you want to head to main street for food, explore the shops, or want to go hiking. The check in and check out process is easy and Lisa and Mark were so easy to keep in contact with!

  • This is a great little spot that was exactly what we needed while visiting family. It has walk ability and is a comfy space. I especially appreciated the easy check in and out and Lisa and Mark were great at communicating details before and during the trip.

  • Lisa and Mark were great hosts. My boyfriend and I spent Thanksgiving day in Beacon. The apt is small and cozy. Super clean and conveniently located less than 10 min walk to Main St. Google maps will say 15min or more but walk was definitely less than that for sure). Short Uber ride to Mt Beacon/Casino trail - call it to Bob's Corner store at the base of the mountain per Lisa's suggestion. Lisa and Mark were quick with responses and recommendations. They left us some the additional local recommendations on a wipe board in the livingroom + water and snacks which was a great added touch to come back to after a long hike. On Thanksgiving day, the town is pretty much shut down (it was nice though, felt like we had the town to ourselves). Literally every shop and restaurant was closed but we ended up at Roundhouse at the hotel. We got 2 seats at the bar and spent 4 hours drinking & eating, chatting with Amy (Bar manager) and Kate (GM). We went to Draught House for a night cap (also the only other bar in town that would open later that night) but lot of locals came in and nice bar setup. Next day, we checked out the jerky store, all the cute vintage shops and hung out at local pub, Max's - this was easily my favorite spot in town!! Enjoyed a good burger + martini before hopping on the 4P train back to the city with the beautiful sunset on the river. Love Beacon, will be back again for sure. Thank you Lisa & Mark for hosting a great weekend.

10 minute walk to Main Street (many restaurants, cafes, galleries, etc) 10 minute walk to Mt Beacon TrailHead. (It's not a hotel and not on Main Street: it's in a residential neighborhood) Cozy space set up for a couple (or solo traveler) looking for a relaxing escape from "The Real World". A couple days here really feels likes so much longer (especially if you take a steam and a jacuzzi)!
Originally a bakery built in the late 1800's adjacent to the "main house", on a large corner property. This space has been recently lovingly renovated by me, keeping lots of original rustic charm and details, with many modern updates and conveniences added. You have your own beautiful little private yard. There's a gently babbling stream, table/chairs, herbs and flowers, with Mt Beacon a few blocks away. (Stream not running in late fall/winter) Since I personally have always dreamed of living in a hotel, my goal has been to make this place have all the things that are appealing about a luxury/boutique hotel/inn: super clean, freshly laundered quality linens, upscale & modern amenities, uniquely decorated. All this while also having the added bonuses of being very private with total autonomy, in a quiet neighborhood, lots of character, a fully-functioning and stocked-with-basics kitchen, a beautiful yard and comfortable cozy spaces to enjoy. It's a small place, but certainly more spacious than a hotel room and SO much better! There are two floors. 1st floor is the open living room/kitchen with a 1/2 bath. There is a stairway open at the bottom leading to the 2nd floor with bedroom and full bathroom. Luxurious spa-like bathroom: Large glass shower with Steamist generator to turn it into a steam sauna, with rain shower head and body sprayers. There's a reclaimed wood bench to comfortably lounge while you take a steam. Relax in what might be the deepest soaking tub ever, with heavenly water jets and epsom salts for a therapeutic bath. Chill out in plush super-soft cotton shawl bathrobes (always freshly laundered). Enjoy lounging just outside your bedroom on the small balcony overlooking the yard and serene neighborhood. Queen mattress with luxury linens and lots of pillows. A true "Chef's Kitchen" (I have a restaurant in Brooklyn) with everything you may need to enjoy some meals in your own private getaway (don't miss going out too for the great food and restaurants in Beacon and the area.) There will be basic pantry stuff (organic coffee, olive oil, salt, spices, many condiments, etc.) available for you to use freely (Usually some fruit/veg/milk, etc). I always stock the fridge with seltzer and filtered water for your stay. There's an awesome Viking range with convection oven (PLEASE note that if you use the convection fan in the oven, it needs to be shut off when you're done with the switch used to turn it on) and powerful exhaust fan. A Vitamix (frozen fruit in freezer for smoothies), drip coffee machine, espresso machine, dishwasher, etc. etc. There is a gas grill for cooking outside; walk 6 minutes to Barb's Butchery and check out the amazing local selections you can cook up for yourself. Roku TV's in bedroom and living room/kitchen. After booking, you'll have access to the "House Manual"; there is so much useful info in there! Not suitable for children under 13.
Quiet and beautiful neighborhood, but basically very close to all the local "action": walk less than 10 min to Mt Beacon to hike, then later walk less than 10 minutes in the other direction for the Main Street attractions. Just be aware that this is not a hotel, not ON Main Street; it's in a residential neighborhood with neighbors all around and about a 10 minute walk to the closest stores, shops, restaurants. If you drive, it's a couple minutes to anything you may want in Beacon. Walking, it's minimum 10 minutes to the beginning of the "social scene" of Beacon.
  • Next time I need a nice upstate getaway from the city, I'll definitely book with Dan. Super close to town, and just a 5 minute walk from the Mt. Beacon trailhead! It was incredible being able to walk Breakneck Ridge, to the Mountain, and spend the evening soaking in the tub and steaming in the incredible steam shower. Great for couples or a solo visit.

    Barbara2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved the space! It was so unique and cozy, and extremely relaxing. The deep tub and bathrobes were fabulous, and the espresso machine and snacks were a great touch. It felt like a luxury hobbit hole.

  • Dan’s home was the perfect spot for a weekend in Beacon. The place is cozy, quiet, and is not only great for staying in and hanging, but super close to everything on Main St. Some highlights were the comfy bed, an amazing tub, lots of dishes for cooking, and a super cool Alexa system. When I’m back in Beacon again I would certainly come back and stay at Dan’s home.

    Jesse2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Dans little place was perfect for our weekend away! The place is beautifully decorated and really feels like home. The steam shower and jacuzzi tub were definitely highlights, as well as the gorgeous kitchen and comfy bed. Would highly recommend staying with Dan next time you're in Beacon!

This 2BR apartment is the entire top floor of an 1870 brick house. A 2018 renovation updated it throughout (floors, windows, AC, furniture, lighting, paint, etc). There is an amazing, peaceful creekside forest glen directly behind the building for your peaceful enjoyment in any season. This apartment has been repositioned as a COVID Escape (see below) The house is walking distance from Main St and central Beacon. It's a perfect space for up to 4 people escaping to the Hudson Valley.
This is a 2BR apartment - the entire top floor of an 1870 classic Hudson Valley brick building. The kitchen is fully equipped (full sized stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, etc), a coffee maker with coffee, sugar and creamer, various pots, pans and dishes for cooking, and plenty of counter space to work on. The bathroom is small with a small window overlooking the heavily wooded Fishkill Creek area behind the house. There's a small dining area with a small table and 2 chairs. The living room has a couch, coffee table, and 2 more high-back wooden chairs. The bedrooms are fairly small, each with a full/double bed. There is one closet with plenty of hanging space as well as an iron and ironing board. It is newly renovated, clean and functional. The outdoor space is completely unique for this area and super peaceful.

  • We had a great time staying at Sandra's for a long weekend trip to Beacon. The location of the place was very convenient and easy to get to Main St by walking. We even walked to the train station (25 minutes) and it was pleasant. The check in process went seamlessly and we appreciated all of the flyers left out for visitors. Having access to the kitchenette was really nice, there was a variety of breakfast bars, teas, and coffees to use. We definitely recommend staying here!

  • Easy check-in, I liked that the individual rooms locked. The bed was very comfortable and the whole room was cozy and clean! The bathroom is spacious and cute with a great shower. Super convenient location and lovely hosts / interaction with other guests. Will definitely stay here again.
