“My personal favorite, this place is as authentic as it gets. Hidden in a little nook right next door to Nak Won, this place is famous for its hand pulled noodles made on site. There will definitely be a line, so go before you're hangry and grab a beer at any of the bars in the surrounding blocks. This place has the most incredible noodle dishes, offered with vegetarian options as well as squid, beef, chicken, and more. A must try!!”

“This is a new place in the neighborhood (walking distance) that has really good schnitzel and beer on tap. If you like Schofferhoffer grapefruit beer like I do this place has it on draft!! Good appetizers too. It can get busy at dinner so make a reservation or sit at the bar. Has TVs for sports around the place also.”

Japanese Restaurant

“If you're on a tour of Ramen, this should be #2 on your list (right after AFURI in downtown Portland). It's located inside Uwajimaya, a fantastic Asian grocery store. The restaurant is not fancy - but you're there for the Ramen, and you've come to the right place. Try the Deluxe, or take a chance with the spicy version. Add more toppings like extra Chasu pork, or a perfectly soft-boiled egg. If you're very hungry, you can order extra broth (Miso is my favorite!) and noodles. Wander around Uwajimaya while you wait. Pro tip: if you know what you want to order, write it down on paper (provided) and hand it to the waiter to expedite starting your order. Don't forget the gyoza!”

“Craving some fried plantains, avocado, rice... and who could forget, mofongo? This place has it all if you are looking for some Boricuan (Puerto Rican) food. Served in an extremely friendly atmosphere, this place is highly recommended for a great dish of Caribbean cuisine.”
