“Our national memorial to the soldiers who fought on the beaches of Normandy. Bedford, VA lost more soldiers per capita than any other town in the country. Also visit downtown and Green's Drugstore museum with tribute to the Bedford Boys. Many good eateries as well!”

Food
“Beale’s is a local hot spot that’s part of the booming craft beer scene in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. Located in a historic building that once served as the Hampton Looms woolen mill, the space has been transformed into a beautiful showcase of craft beer and BBQ. It’s the first craft brewery in the Town of Bedford and another fantastic option for craft beer fans who visit this part of the state. Beale’s opened June 2017 and serves as a family-friendly place where every day is a party and you’ll find the fun in craft beer.”
