  • My stay at Wendy's retreat was wonderful. Wendy was a very friendly and helpful host. The place was lovely, very clean and private. I slept very soundly in the comfy bed. I arranged a therapeutic massage with Wendy as an extra.. It was beyond doubt the best massage that l have ever experienced. Wendy is a very skilled practitioner. If you are looking for a peaceful place to rest and revive, l highly recommend staying with Wendy. Having the option to have a massage inhouse was an absolute treat. Thank you so very much Wendy. I will definately be a return guest. My next visit will be longer.😊

The cabin is ideally set amongst tall gums. You will wake to sweeping rural views with a sense of peace and tranquility. We have tried to create a special place for couples and pets (including horses) to get away from it all. This character filled cabin is only 3 minutes from town and 10 minutes from pristine beaches. Enjoy weekly markets and activities such as kayaking, swimming, skydiving etc Or just sit back and relax
Our place has a large enclosed dog yard and 3 acres to rest your horse. Go for walks from here or choose any number of places to roam in this idyllic surrounding. Quiet , private location with a laid back ambience and located close to amenities. This includes selection of restaurants, golf course, shopping and markets (featuring local produce). Also a popular area for skydiving/ parachuting. The cabin has been created by using recycled materials, it has been a passion of the host to show off this as an alternative building option. Courtesy Update We feel it is important to let you know what we are doing to provide a safe place for you to stay in these most unusual times. The accommodation is a stand alone cabin set on 5acres in the rural countryside near the small town of Moruya. We believe this is a safe area to explore in peace and quiet. In many ways the location is quite isolated, being on a dead end road there is little traffic. The cabin only accommodates couples. We also cater for dogs and horses. Denise and I spend a minimum of 2 hours to clean between clients and we pride ourselves on being very thorough. This includes a full linen replacement. Check and rewash dishes and kitchen , all towels and dishcloths replaced with fresh ones. All door handles and surfaces disinfected. We have confidence in what we offer and encourage you to come and enjoy and relax in these surroundings. Naturally we understand there are many factors that will influence your decision to come and stay however we also ask that if you feel you cannot make it for any reason your earliest advice would be appreciated. Keep well Regards Paul and Denise
The south coast showcases some of the best beaches in Australia, add to this hiking such as Bingi Dreaming Track(13.5km), Murramarang National Park, Buddawangs National Park and Mt Drommedary. Also unlimited kayaking, fishing and surfing. Numerous markets , boutique shopping and generally a great area to do as much or as little as you feel like😀
  • The most beautiful view from the cabin, bed was very comfortable and Paul was a great host.

  • Paul's and Denise's place is absolutely stunning. It's a hidden gem with an awesome view into the countryside. We enjoyed our stay in this lovely cabin and regretted that we only booked one night. Paul and Denise are very nice and welcoming hosts. Would 100% stay here again!

    Tidiane2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is by far the best views I've had from an Airbnb. Paul and Denise gave some awesome local tips of things to do and even ways to drive back home. The cabin has a kitchen so you don't have to eat out and the whole cabin is spacious. I will definitely be going back to this area, Moruya is a beautiful part of the world IF YOU CHOOSE TO STAY HERE: Listen to Paul and Denise's directions on how to get there! Don't try be a hero like me and use google. Google maps will trick you into following a track that is impossible to drive. The hosts give you the most direct route. trust in them.

    Hugh2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was more than what we expected. Great views, comfortable amenities and close to town. (But a world away).

    Moruya, NSW, Australia

Our farm looks out to the sea, across lush green fields. Your private two story, newly renovated accommodation is self contained with outside living areas and modern amenities. Walk, bicycle, drive or canoe the short distance to the beach. Farm life.
Self contained, private rural accommodation located on Meringo Creek farm which is a working farm, producing ethical and sustainable agricultural product for the local award winning Moruya Farmers Market. The view from your bedroom is outstanding and very unique looking across the farm paddocks to the ocean where whales can be seen breaching during their annual migration period. Guests are free to do their own thing with many options available - the beach 5 minutes drive from your door and the Bingi Dreaming track close at hand for bush walkers. There are good shops, markets (Saturday and Tuesday) and two supermarkets in Moruya (ten minutes away). Every Tuesday we sell beef, lamb or goat kid at Moruya Farmers Market (ABC Delicious Awards "Most Outstanding Farmers Market in Australia" in both 2014 and 2015). Farm gate sales are seasonally available. Your kitchen has all the utensils you will need. You have a really cool Marshall amp/speaker to bluetooth to your own music on your device/s, which will also hook up to the TV for enhanced sound for the odd movie you may want to watch. Mobile coverage is OK(ish). Depending on your carrier....(Telstra is better) On occasion, you may have to walk over to the coral tree or face a little towards the ocean. Likely though, it is not as good as what you are used to.
Put it this way - nobody will be looking through your window. Very RURAL. Very peaceful. Very stress free. Horse stud (thoroughbreds) on the front boundary forests on the North and West boundries and scattered five acre lots in the distance. The "Bingi Dreaming" walking track runs along the coast in front of us. It is approx. 10 km long and starts at the little village North of us called Congo and ends south at Tuross. Meringo beach is about half the distance if you get tired.
  • I cannot recommend Hughen's cottage highly enough. It is in the most amazing location, with ocean & rural views from the bedroom. There's everything you need for a short or long stay. We especially loved canoeing along the creek to the ocean & Eddie and Rastus are gorgeous!!

    Emma2020-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a peaceful escape from today’s world, with great views, great hosts and a modernised farm cottage, this is perfect. The proximity to beaches, farmers market, and a stunning coastline walk, make for a great holiday.......so peaceful, except for the mooing cows and calves, and warbling magpies outside our windows in the big oak tree!

    Jeremy & Irena2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Hughen’s place is a gem. We were very lucky to have found this farm bungalow to stay. The farm is just delightful for long quiet walks. The place is serene yet full of life with lambs, goats, donkeys and cows. Eddie is also great, he kept us company on one of our walks. The upstairs bedroom has a wonderful view of the farm, forrest and the ocean (probably sunrise too but we were too comfortable in bed to get up early). The farm is 10 minutes away from Tuross Head and Moruya. That gave us plenty of options for beach walks and eateries. Hughen is a fantastic host who was just genuine and hospitable. He took us around his farm and put on a show with his lambs and donkeys. We also gained a much better appreciation for the people living out in the bush and how tough it has been this year. We wish Hughen and his family the very best. We look forward to staying with Hughen again in the future.

    Aobo2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Hughen’s farm is a beautifying tranquil place with absolutely superb views, breathtaking each time you look out across the green meadows and towards the ocean in the distance. Our little family of three felt very welcome right from the outset and we really appreciated the wonderful touches throughout like the farm fresh eggs, selection of DVDs and the most comfortable bed, pillows and electric blanket - I’m very fussy with these things and must say I can’t recall any other place that’s delivered so so well to help with my beloved sleep! Hughen was very generous with his time, taking our little girl to see many of the animals on the farm; her favourites were the friendly donkeys who visited us frequently, along with the lovely kitty. It was the perfect place to unwind and we hope to return soon.

    Kazza2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Meringo And will return Thanks Hughen for all your great help and easy correspondence.

    Craig2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I had the most fantastic time at Hughen and his family’s farm stay. The place was so spacious and had beautiful views of the property and the water. Hughen and his family were so hospitable but the level of interaction with them and the animals is completely up to the people staying. My family loved the chance to help Hughen feed the animals on a few occasions, we loved being 5 minutes drive from the beach and we have already decided to return in the winter!

    Emily2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very peaceful 4 days on this beautiful farm. Great view from the bedroom and porch, and comfortable place with everything you need. We felt very relaxed and far away from busy life. Hughen was very friendly and helpful with local tips!

  • This is a fabulous property to stay with a wonderful host and tasty fresh produce when available. The accommodation is modern and extremely comfortable. The location is spot on, being on a farm at the edge of town give the best of both worlds. The host Anne Marie is truly a beautiful person. When in Moruya, this is my choice for accommodation. Thank you, and kind regards, Greg

    Tracey2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing place to stay for a couple or young family. Our young daughter didn’t wa t to leave and thoroughly enjoyed lots of green space to run around as well as playing with the dogs and even an opportunity to feed a goat and ride a horse. Anne Marie is a wonderful host, provided great suggestion to get a bite to eat locally and gave us a lot of time. The room itself was super clean and spacious for the 3 of us. Highly recommend AMs place and we would love to come back.

    Alex2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • AMs studio is cosy and spotless situated on beautiful farm . The sound of the rooster waking us after a peaceful nice sleep put a smile on our face . On the border of the Eurobodalla National Park, our place is sandwiched between beaches and the river. Here you are absolutely spoiled for amazing views and things to do all within easy walking distance. Watch the seals on 'seal rock' from the lookout 5 mins up the road or catch dolphins surfing, and whales passing. Take your rod, swimmers or snorkelling gear, and walk to any of the beaches to play! On the way, grab a coffee at Salty Earth Cafe.
You'll stay in a two bedroom self contained apartment covering the entire lower level accessed via the rear of our home . The main bedroom has huge windows on two sides to let in the salty breeze, the sound of the surf, and the many birds in the huge trees around and in our back garden. The room is furnished with a comfy queen bed with quality linens. The second room has double and king single beds with a trundle suitable for a small child. Cook up your catch of the day in the fully equipped kitchen, and relax in the well-appointed lounge room with comfy sofas and a TV. On a sunny morning, take a breakfast tray into the leafy backyard. If you really must wash clothes on holiday, there is also a laundry!
The house is located on the Headland . There is a local cafe (varied opening hours) and a fabulous park for the children at The Main Beach next to the Surf Lifesaving Club.

The private garden setting has abundant birdlife with a very special garden location to see and enjoy beautiful birds. The accommodation is excellent with many personal touches to make your stay very comfortable.

  • One of the best air bnb’s we have stayed in to date super friendly hosts with a lovely clean home 5/5 would recommend to anyone and we will definitely be returning! Great job Michele and Jim!

  • An absolutely fantastic place to stay, very close to one of the best beaches on the south coast and has the best deck in the history of decks. This deck is a beautiful treetop style deck that has a fantastic view over a garden home to amazing wildlife including a bower bird and any possums. It was wonderful to spend a morning sitting on the deck drinking some (provided) tea and watching the birds. The house is well designed so that even on a hot day there is sufficient airflow through windows to keep you cool and has a full kitchen to make life easier. I would 100% come back and stay here. Jim and Michele were extremely responsive to messages and were more than willing to accommodate our later-than-planned check-in.

A light and airy house which comfortably accommodates 6 - 8. Go to sleep to the sound of the ocean, wake up to parrots feeding in the garden. Lakeside @ Tuross Head is right on the shared path that runs right around the town and connects all the beaches. Stroll to the lake or take a scenic walk through wetlands to beautiful beaches and spectacular headlands which offer great opportunities for whale watching or seal spotting. Tuross Head has great fishing, swimming and boating.
This is a relaxed three bedroom home with lots of outdoor living space. There is outdoor dining and barbecue on the raised verandah with views over the lake. In addition there is a secluded paved sitting area in the garden with comfy chairs and a hammock for complete relaxation. Everything is provided for you, beautiful linen on all the beds, towels and beach towels. This is our holiday home too and we want to minimise how much we need to bring with us when we're there. Help yourself to the well stocked pantry: usually there will be too many condiments, cereal, staples (flour, sugar, oil and vinegar), herbs and spices, tea and coffee. If something runs out let us know. Dogs are welcome too, but outside only on the verandah or in either the front or back fenced yards. There are food and water bowls, and a dog bed. There are books, puzzles and DVDs and Netflix for rainy days.
Tuross Head is a beautiful beachside town with lots of charm, stunning sea views and makes a great base to explore the NSW South Coast. Visit historic Bodalla or Moruya, beautiful Potato Point, Dalmeny and Narooma. Take a tour of Montague Island and swim with the seals or whale watch in season.
  • Such a peaceful location. Spacious verandah to watch the sunrise over the lake and listen to birdsong. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

  • Paul is a really nice guy. He gave us lots of useful local guide there. This house is also great. It is all built with timber. Paul decorated this place in an old-sailor style. As this housr is several decades years old, it makes me recall some memory of my great grandma. I really recommend this place! Thank you Paul!

  • Tuross Head is a beautiful place and Paul was very hospitable. It was great to have my own living space and bathroom.

    Leanne2018-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • It was very nice of Paul to contact us before we arrive and meet us at the place. It was at a higher ground and had nice view. It was very quiet and safe. The town is beautiful with the beaches and Norfolk Island pine trees. Paul is very friendly and easy to interact with. I would recommend it to anyone who like the coast and quiet stay.

An amazing natural setting designed with seclusion, nature and relaxation in mind. This cathedral like, open plan house with northern aspect is set within the pristine coastal bushland of the Eurobodalla national park and sits a short walk to FIVE different beaches all with the peace and quiet you desire. The perfect homely bush abode for large family holidays , double couples, romantic getaways , honeymoons or just a weekend of isolated meditation with the friendly kangaroo mob.
House Our architecturally designed, corrugated iron ocean cathedral is full of light and charm. With a tall, steep pitched gable ceiling, countless windows, a large northern facing deck and the open plan design the place oozes space comfortably housing seven. The quirky ocean furnishings illustrate the things our family enjoy, including some special vintage surfboards that will make you envious if you like surfing. You will fall in love with this space as soon as you turn into 181 Mullimburra point road. Deck/Yard mmmmmmmmm yes! The deck and yard is where all the magical things occur. Local wildlife inhabit and feed from a beautiful dam and native grassland that lay below the deck and can be seen daily. Planted out with mostly natives and enshrouded by casuarina forest, we believe watching and enjoying lifes pleasures from our deck is pretty special. Beaches and Wildlife Being embedded with the national park, the casuarina forest, the numerous coastal swamps, and being so close to the ocean; we have great wildlife viewing right at our door..... and deck. It is not rare on your visit to see the likes of kangaroo, Echidna, Goanna, Brustail and ring tail possums, gliders, swamp wallabies, red necked wallabies, antechinus and the beautiful blue tongued lizard. Soaring high In the sky or in the perches of trees we have white bellied sea eagles, grey goshawks, swamp harriers, peregrine falcons, boobooks, barn owls, satin bower-birds, Cheoughs, Black cockatoos, magpies, shrikethrush and many many more. we hope you can identify something new and exciting to share with us! A short walk could land you on one of the five beaches and a very short drive will get you to more! all within the National park! Seclusion is written in the sand on a lot of them. There are many great headlands and viewing points to see which beach you like for the day, enjoy a glass of wine watching the sun go down, or to watch the dolphins, seabirds, seals or if your lucky...... the whale migration.
Environmental living means that there are residential acreages in the area and thats it. making 5 acres the smallest of the lots. This is very special considering the proximity to the beach! And This property the closest to many of the secluded beaches in the area. Aboriginal History and the area Aborigines have occupied the Bingi-Congo area since well before the sea reached its present level about 6,000 years ago. Archaeological sites mostly date from the last few thousand years. These include campsites where artefacts were manufactured and used. The area is rich in stone flakes, stone quarry sites and shell middens where the remains of meals of fish and shellfish have accumulated over thousands of years The Bingi-Congo coastal walk follows part of the Dreaming Track utilised by Brinja-Yuin people prior to European development. The word Bingi means stomach in Dhurga - the Aboriginal language spoken south of Nowra to Narooma - and when repeated as in Bingi Bingi Point indicates abundance. Dreaming Tracks traditionally linked every place visited by local Aboriginal people, then extended to connect every place utilised by neighbouring clans so that all Aboriginal people in Australia were connected by these unique highways. Dreaming Tracks are sometimes referred to as song lines, as individuals had to know the songs to successfully navigate the area, particularly if they were visiting another’s country. At times however, they fulfill an entirely different function, particularly in ceremony. It is the belief of Aboriginal people that the Spirit Ancestors of the people created the Dreaming Tracks in the journey of Creation across the land and therefore have a deep spiritual significance for them. Historic journals have recorded European settlers using these tracks as trade routes and encountering groups of Aboriginal people in camps, or in transit gathering food and other materials. The Bingi Dreaming track brings you close to shell middens, stone quarries, knapping sites, camp sites and fresh water sources. There are also beacon sites for sending smoke signals and lookouts traditionally used to spot schools of fish and visitors (wanted or unwanted). While enjoying this unique experience please respect the land and her dwellers for we are all one. Geology Bingi and Grey Rocks Points have formed on granites, Mullimburra Point on metamorphosed shales and sandstones, and the headlands and cliffs between Meringo and Congo are formed from basalt. Between the headlands, beach and dune sands have accumulated since the sea reached its present level. These sands have trapped small perched coastal lagoons (or ICOLLS). The bingie dreamingtrack crosses four of these. At the back of the cliffs between Meringo Lake and Congo the basalt is covered with younger quartz-rich sandstone and gravels, some of which has been cemented to form silcrete. Most of the Aboriginal stone artefacts on the South Coast were made from silcrete and the Congo area was a major source of this stone.
  • Tim’s home is positively magic! Hidden away in the trees, his rustic home was clean, spacious and full of unique touches. The deck overlooks the backyard where kangaroos graze and there’s an awesome hammock for reading a book. The kitchen is great for entertaining and open to the dining room and living area so ideal for cooking and socialising with a large group. We all felt so comfortable and wished we could’ve stayed longer!

    Kayley2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay here. The house is big and very peaceful, and the second bedroom leads directly out onto the balcony. Our children loved watching the kangaroos and heading down to the beach which is only a couple minutes away. We would look forward to staying again!

    Phil2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Sweet crib in a top notch part of the world. Hope we'll be back to Bingie soon. Thanks for everything.

    Josh2019-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • This place is truly magical! If you’re looking for creature comforts while being close to nature- this is the place to be! We saw so many animals from the veranda - kangaroos, wallabies and ducks every day. Beautiful bush walks down to secluded beaches. Recommend walking at dusk to see all the animals. The house was spacious, clean and well appointed. Loved the hammock on the veranda- perfect! This was a wonderful way to celebrate our anniversary and we even had a card and a treat waiting for us!! Thank you!

Tucked off the main road and less than 2.5 hours from Canberra, this modern apartment is a short drive to beaches, cafes and town. GREENING UP AFTER FIRES/RAIN SO COME SUPPORT THE LOCAL BUSINESSES! 2 good-sized rooms plus bathroom • River 300m, boat ramp 750m, beaches 1 km, coffee shop 1.5km, golf 5 km & town 6km • Own entrance. Complete privacy • Patio, BBQ & 2 gas rings • Kitchenette, microwave & hotplate • Full bathroom • Heat/Aircon, WiFi, 'Fetch' TV • Laundry shared with house
I would describe this as priced like a motel (outside peak times), offering as much amenity as a 1-bedroom cabin in a campsite - but much better quality than both. It is quiet and with such a big bedroom that it will take 2 singles as well as the double if you want it in addition to the living area sofa-bed. There is a leafy patio area for your exclusive use with a table, gas cooking (2 burners) and a BBQ hotplate. I supply all linen and spare bedding. Both rooms have fitted wardrobes with hanging space and drawers so there is plenty of room to put things.
This is a quiet neighbourhood with lots of trees and plants in the area. Moruya is just 6 km away and the beach 1 km with a pathway/cyclepath there. There is a big market every Saturday morning in Moruya (120 stalls) and an award-winning Farmer's Market every Tuesday afternoons at 3 pm. There are many National Parks, beautiful beaches and waterways in the district - much to explore: fishing spots galore; a boat ramp just a few hundred metres away; easy trailer parking in this street; a Golf Club in town with an excellent course; a Bowling Club also; horse riding in the district; child friendly restaurants etc
  • Great spot, in a quiet neighbourhood close to the beach.

  • Jo is an excellent host, who stopped by for a chat, and gave us some great local tips on exploring the area. The place is cute and cozy, like the description. We loved the option of an outdoor kitchen, which we took advantage of every night. The sound of the bush and birdsong wirh dinner, was a lovely background distraction.

Come and stay at the beautiful NSW South Coast in our comfortable, well-equipped self-contained unit. We are 1 km from the beach and the river, and 6 km from the country town of Moruya. Swimming, fishing, kayaking, markets, bush walking, bike trails, or relaxing - it's all here for you and your family. Your pet is welcome too. We have a large fenced grass area within our garden where your dog can run, and our local beach is a 24 hour off-leash doggy playground!
  • We stayed here during the Covid madness and Gretta and Brian were the best hosts we could have hoped for - maintaining physical distance but offering lots of support. The flat was spacious, cosy and impeccably clean and we loved spotting kangaroos in the massive garden. We would love to come back again under happier circumstances and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. A perfect stay!

  • Such a lovely location. A great spot to stay, visit beaches and visit local towns. I had a lovely time with our 2 dogs, the dog beach was fantastic, and they were exhausted. Thanks Gretta for a wonderful stay.

  • I have been an evacuee from the south coast fires in nsw since December living in a tent and making do like so many others here. My lovely sisters in Europe, being very concerned for my mental and physical welfare after so long a time dealing with the threat, booked me three nights respite at Greta's until today. I cannot describe how good it felt to stay in her lovely unit and be given the peace and quiet I needed to help me cope with the ongoing trauma and get some sleep. it is a beautiful and quiet location , tastefully furnished, with a very comfortable bed, clean and fresh with all one needs for a break . I especially appreciated the lovely scented soaps etc supplied by greta which made me feel like a human being and a woman again after a rough tent existence for such an extended period. My dog in particular appreciated the place and slept for almost the entire time we were there feeling safe and free of the noise of fire fighting aircraft which we have had nonstop since December. I learnt the night I arrived that my home had finally been destroyed by the fire after being under threat for al that time, and Greta's warm and sympathetic reception made that easier to cope with. I was given the space and time to heal and highly recommend her as a hostess and the unit as a cean and fresh space tostay for any occasion. Thank you Greta and Brian, may you both and your home continue to stay save in these awful burning times. Niamh and kinny.

  • Thoroughly recommend. Great for quiet time in a private bush setting.

  • This is the spot. Beautiful views and the ultimate place to wind down. Small and cosy, 10 min or less maybe walk to the beach with spectacular aussie nature surrounds, in one walk saw an echidna, wallaby and kangaroos and kookaburras in abundace. Nice amenities, really clean and a great location. Claire was incredibly helpful with navigating us down and when bushfires delayed our trip, offered up an extra couple nights stay. Claire’s hospitality was really appreciated.

    Lachlan2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Claire's cottage is beautiful. It sits perfectly facing out towards the sea which is a very pleasant walk away and totally worth it. The beach is one of the best in the area and virtually unpopulated beyond the occasional local either walking or exercising. The area is amazing and the Moruya market on Tuesday afternoon is brilliant for picking up the best of the best of local produce ( ask Narooma seafoods if they have any smoked Butter Fish ). Be warned you need to be there before or on time ( it opens at 3.00pm ) as things sell fast! I could've sat all day on the verandah reading if there weren't other things to do. The kangaroos out in the paddocks, despite being a pest to the farmers, make it a picture perfect Australian landscape. The bed is super comfortable, the bathroom nice and roomy and the kitchen is really amazing, all you need to do is add your own local produce as you'll be hard pressed to find a shortage of any utensil or pan. We'll be back.

  • Claire has created a lovely experience for anyone staying here. The cottage is set up with everything you might need to cook, relax and be comfortable. We loved having a campfire on our last night and enjoyed being in the bush with a view of the ocean and bush track to the beach.

  • What a treat is this neat retreat! A delightful little cottage with ocean, national park and pastoral views. Short walk or drive to various glorious beaches. A little haven to leave the busy world behind. Claire is a thoughtful host, a good communicator and ensures Bingi Hideaway is ready to welcome you when you arrive.

Rustic, character filled, architect designed cabin with a master loft and two small bedrooms constructed largely from recycled building materials, located on 5 acres of forest close enough to the ocean you can hear it in the distance. Just to be absolutely clear, the Camp House is not 'on' the beach but it's close. It takes about four minutes to get to Congo Beach by car. We are 'pet friendly'.
To avoid disappointment so that you are aware of exactly what you are getting please make sure you read the full house profile. Due to recent comments I'd also like to stress, there is no air conditioning. We find that it's unnecessary because of the location and the design of the house. There is also no wifi. As far as 'value' is concerned, some have found it a tad expensive for just a couple while others with a party if six thinks it's great value. Up to you. The alternatives are other airbnb places, camp grounds, caravan parks or the local motels. Very important to note here...if you are interested in staying at the Camp House then you will need to provide your own bed linen, towels and tea towels. We provide doonas and pillows (two pillows per person). You MUST also be prepared to take away all your own garbage when you leave and make sure the place is clean and tidy for the next folks. The Camp House is checked after visitors leave by a neighbour who keeps an eye on the place for me. I also like to get a report from you on the condition that the last guests have left the place. It's usually between good and pristine. Congo Camp House is located within five acres of eucalypt forest and , as the crow flies, it's 1.6 kilometres from the coast and four minutes drive to Congo Beach (the closest). You can actually hear the ocean nearby. There are seven wild, frequently deserted beaches, all within the Eurobodalla National Park, that are within eight minutes drive. Because it's not really a house, like a normal house, and because there's a real "outside-inside" feel and because most people spend their time sitting on the kitchen deck or around the fire pit, it became known as the "Camp House". For those that love the idea of camping but not so much the inconvenience and still want a sanctuary from the elements and a comfy bed to sleep in, then this place is ideal. That's why it's known as the "Congo Camp House", a name given to it by a four year girl called Amelie. I have found over the past five years hosting on airbnb that this place is a good compromise for families and groups who are divided on whether they want to rough it at a campsite or stay in a place where you can be very comfortable. This is sort of seven star camping!! I want to STRESS it's NOT a hotel! There's going to be cobwebs here and there, although i try to stay on top of that and there will be dust from time to time, especially in the outside kitchen. We get little visitors like possums and bush rats in the kitchen and there's usually lots of birds hanging around and occasionally wallabies and kangaroos pass through. It's very much a bush experience and not for those expecting Hyatt style luxury. I want to stress this is a "Camp House" and it won't always be pristine and sometimes that will also depend on just how well the previous guest cleans the place. We don't have a regular cleaner because it's fairly remote and therefore we found the expense only makes it much more costly for you, the guest. However i have had a number of bad guests very recently which has been very disappointing, who have left the place in a poor state so i now pay for someone to come in after each visit and assess the condition of the house to provide me information i may need for reviewing guests. The Jarrah kitchen is outside on a big timber deck, under cover of course, and sheltered from the southerlies. Sometimes the Kookaburras will come and steal food from right under your nose, WHILE you are cooking and there will be mosquitos sometimes and moths and beetles. You are living in the elements just like if you were camping but there's very comfortable beds and a beautiful big bathtub. If it's raining and cold lying on the cosy couch in front of the little potbelly stove reading a book while listening to the rain on a tin roof is just wonderful anyway. There are insect screens throughout and upstairs there's a big mosquito net so inside you are generally protected from the bugs unless you've left the doors open . From the start we wanted to limit our impact on the five acre forest it's nestled in because it's home to LOTS of wildlife and we tried to use recycled products where ever possible. So the Camp House features lots of beautiful recycled hardwood timber that used to be joists and bearers from old homes and it's lined with lime washed plantation hoop pine. The doors and windows were sourced as second hand castaways. The insulation is made from PET plastic bottles and the building is sited so that we can make the most of the northern sun in winter. The end result is an amazing little building that seems to belong where it is within the forest. There is the master loft with queen size bed upstairs which offers beautiful views of the forest and two small and cosy bedrooms downstairs (two single beds and a double). It's very private. The outlook is pretty much just forest. It's simple, unhurried, peaceful and at nights we generally sit around the fire and talk or play music. We really like that mostly the people who stay understand and appreciate what we have tried to create here and so far mostly everyone has treated the Camp House and the forest with great respect. There nearest shops are in the small country town of Moruya about ten minutes dive away and where you can get just about anything you need food-wise. There is a bus service that runs between Sydney and Moruya but you'd need a car to get to the Camp House from Moruya. The coastline of the Eurobodlla is arguably the most beautiful and most wild coastline in NSW and mostly national park. There are so many beautiful and wild beaches to go to and an amazing array of national park destinations nearby.
The immediate area around the camp house is forest and the coastline is spectacular and mostly protected within the 35 km long Eurobodalla National Park. The Camp House is located in a rural/residential area so you will hear Livestock like cows and donkeys in the distance. The Roosters next door have finally departed fortunately.
  • Beautiful location! Very close to the dog beach and not too far from the amenities in Moruya

    Sarah2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is the prefect place if you are looking to be in nature away from the world with everything you need at your finger tips. Loved being able to sit outside in the out door kitchen with my husband enjoying the peaceful surrounds, all the birds and butterflies while having our breakfast, lunch and dinner. This was exactly what I want, seclusion, real earth grounding feeling in nature with out needing to travel too far or setup a tent.

    Lilah2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful little retreat. We had a lovely quick stay and felt like we escaped from the hustle and bustle of Sydney life. The outdoor kitchen is great. The interior is so pretty and bohemian. Quite breathtaking.

  • The Congo camp house was definitely a place to remember! Had such a rememberable experience over the 3 days we stayed here, definitely will be coming back as soon as possible! Highly recommend the Congo! Stu was an amazing host too and was more than helpful with his responses.

  • Great little place that makes you feel like you’ve escaped civilisation.

    Natalie2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a wonderfully quiet comfortable and peaceful spot. I can’t add to others descriptions other than to say that Stu is the most concerned and collaborative host I have encountered. Thanks.

    Bill2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second (longer) stay at the camp house it it didn’t disappoint. If you have the energy I’d recommend the Bingie dreaming track, some 13.7 kms from Congo to Tuross - and incredible walk featuring some amazing beaches. The house is practical, comfortable and peaceful - you’ll see a dizzying number of different bird species. We saw many wallabies crossing the property during this stay.. Stu is an excellent host - there was a looming threat of fires to the area and Stu was genuinely concerned for our welfare. A fantastic place to switch off.

  • I stayed six nights at Karel's River Flat while visiting family at Moruya. For one person the space was very good. Bathroom good, with toletries supplied. Bedroom good with a comfy bed and extra blankets if needed. Kitchen/living area great. All amenities as described on the website. I really enjoyed the garden with the foliage, flowers and artworks throughout, and lovely birds, bees and lizards to enjoy. Also a lovely private place to sit on the South verandah at the back of the flat. All in all; I'll be back, and will strongly recommend the River Flat to family and friends for one or two people. Thanks Karel and Lou. PS: very good value too!

Kianga Beach Shack is a coastal holiday home from the 1960's with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and Montague Island. Only two streets back from the beach, you can hear the surf crashing and see the whales passing by without leaving the front decks. Freshly updated with modern amenities, the house has everything you need to be comfortable on your holiday. With a mild climate all year round and lots of local attractions, the Sapphire Coast is one of the best places to holiday in Australia.
Important note: Construction of a new home commenced on the block next door in late January 2019 and is expected to continue until mid year (approximately). Construction may cause noise and disruption during working hours. Bright, comfortable and a great view of the ocean from all the rooms. There are two bedrooms, both with king size beds. One of the beds can be split into two king singles - perfect for children. High quality linen and bath towels are supplied. One high chair and one portable cot are available. There is a comfortable three seater leather lounge with ottoman, and a six seat dining table. Two east facing decks provide a panoramic view of the ocean and Montague Island in the distance. One deck has a four seat outdoor dining table. For entertainment, there is a large flat screen TV, Bluray DVD player, a small portable sound system (with Bluetooth and radio) and free wifi internet. The kitchen has quality appliances and everything you need to cook with. The bathroom has been modernized but retains some of its 1960's features, including a shower over a small tub. The laundry is equipped with a front loading washing machine and dryer. There is undercover parking for two cars. One is in a lock up garage, the other is under a covered carport.
Kianga is a quiet suburban neighborhood by the sea, nestled between Dalmeny and Narooma - which are both less than five minutes drive away. It's also close to all the fantastic south coast attractions and towns, such as Montague Island, Central Tilba, Bermagui, Mogo and Mount Dromaderry.
  • Highly recommended. Fantastic location and amazing views. Would love to come back for whale season. Everything you need is in the house, 2 good size bedrooms. Sit in the deck with a coffee and watch the sun rise over the ocean.

  • We had a lovely stay at Duncan’s charming house in Kianga. You can see he’s out a lot of effort into making it a really nice space, and very well equipped. It has everything you could possibly need ... the shower is pretty light on water pressure, but that’s minor with all the pluses of this house. It’s in a lovely location, with so many nice beaches and walks nearby. Great views from the house and you can sit on the balcony with a glass of wine and survey it all. Dalmeny takeaway is awesome, and there’s a nice little playground right next to the beach. Duncan was also a pleasure to deal with, and great on communication. Also really flexible when we needed to change our booking with all the bushfire activity. We will definitely come back to stay again!

  • The Beach Shack was a really great place to stay. Well equipped, clean and fresh house set back on a quiet street with an outstanding view to the ocean and Montague Island. Really great host who is easy to communicate with. Thanks again !

  • We loved Kianga Beach Shack. It is the quintessential Aussie holiday experience in an absolutely stunning location. The house is suitable for a couple or a young family. The decks/living area/bedrooms offer beautiful views towards Montague Island. Kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Loved being able to park in the garage. The catastrophic fires on the coast and inland cut short our 7 night getaway. But we will return to Kianga Beach Shack, the Eurobodalla with it’s amazing coastline and the wonderful towns that ooze charm and most importantly the super friendly caring locals. (Big shout out to Casey’s Cafe in Narooma for preparing food in difficult conditions and giving it to whoever happened past during these very trying times. Very grateful for that perfect cuppa). Kianga Beach Shack is a perfect little getaway in a superb location.

Tuross Head offers a laid back and carefree lifestyle. Renowned for it's unspoilt beaches and stunning lake and turquoise estuary, this little town is one of the South Coast's best kept secrets. You’ll find plenty of wonderful things to do and see in this haven for kayaking, boating, fishing, diving, cycling and swimming. Relax on gorgeous ocean beaches and there are great surfing spots, too. Surrounded in the natural beauty of Eurobodalla National Park, Tuross Lake to the south and Coila Lake to the north. Tuross head is the hidden diamond of the South Coast. The best advice, after you have photographed it and shared it with your friends, is to switch off, unplug and become part of it.
  • Lovely house with everything you need, would be great for families with the big, grassy back yard. 😊

  • We had a lovely stay here! My husband and I stayed with our 9 month old daughter for 4 nights as we visited the bushfire affected areas around the NSW south coast. It was so stylish but so homely! A super comfy couch, lots of beds, great little tv room, a reading room downstairs, big garden, and a lovely view too! We even bathed our little girl on the balcony. It was walking distance to the Tuross Boat shed where we had coffees each morning, and about a 1km walk to the shops. Would highly recommend for a big family or a group of friends, or just a family of 3!

'Biliga' is close to the beach, cafes and the small village of Tuross . It is a quaint 1930's cottage. The house is light and airy, surrounded by bird life and within easy walking distance of the beach. Good for couples, singles and families (with well behaved children). Great for a beach holiday, golf, fishing, swimming, walking, cycling, and / or relaxing. An inspiring house for writers and painters needing a place to create. Not suitable for parties, large groups or school leavers events.
If you like old beach cottages Biliga could be your holiday destination. Set within a leafy garden and surrounded by trees, the house is a perfect place to relax. The house is light and airy. Not big on modern cons but plenty of atmosphere and only a short walk to beautiful south coast beaches. Surrounded by National Parks, Tuross is a quiet seaside village on the south coast of New South Wales great for whale watching, fishing, swimming and beach walking. Biliga is a corridor for foraging native animals: echidnas, wallabies, lizards. Please note and to avoid disappointment, the cottage accommodates only 4 people.
Tuross is a quiet seaside village on the New South Wales south coast. Situated between two lakes and the sea. It has stunning scenery and pristine beaches. 3 hours comfortable drive from Canberra and four from Sydney. There are many National Parks, beautiful beaches as well as music festivals, Narooma oyster festival, artists galleries, fresh seafood, cafes and restaurants. An idyllic isolation, sparsely populated.
  • Booked Brendas cottage for a birthday minibreak. The cottage is just gorgeous, we had such a wonderful relaxing time. Thanks Brenda!

  • Quirky, beautifully furnished beach house walking distance to the beach and river. Spent a very relaxing few days on the sun deck watching the wildlife.

    Rhys2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Brenda's house is amazing. It's my dream house! Everything was extremely clean and beautifully furnished. I can't believe how much privacy the property has either - the house is surrounded by flora and fauna. Waking up to the bird songs and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean is life-giving. It's also a really short walk to the local cafe and fishing spot, the Boatshed. We loved watching the kangaroos and bunnies frolicking in the paddock next door too. Thank you Brenda!

    Nicole2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely old 1930’s place, very clean and comfortable, close to the river and beaches, Brenda provided a great overview and all the information about the area. Definitely coming back.

    Peter2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful and peaceful little getaway at “Billiga”. The coastal cottage is everything Brenda describes, thoughtfully decorated and full of character. We enjoyed the native wildlife and listening to the birds in the morning. Its in a great location, walking distance to the beach. Communication was great, Brenda gave clear instructions before our arrival. We had a very comfortable stay and can’t wait to come back.

    Madeleine2019-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • Brenda’s cottage was so gorgeous. It is even better than described. It is beautifully decorated, super clean, peaceful, surrounded by a lovely garden and very close to the beach (you can hear the waves at night - bliss), fantastic walking track and only a short walk to the Boathouse and Pickled Octopus. Brenda gave us lots of extra local info which was very helpful. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Hazel Nest has great views, is 15 mins walk to the beach and 10 mins drive to Moruya, where there are markets, restaurants, and art galleries. You’ll love it because of the views from the veranda over the river to the ocean, the beach nearby, and the quiet neighbourhood. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, or business travellers. It is a studio built under the house with a separate entrance and is very private, with its own path from the road where you can park your car.
It is an open plan, light-filled space, with a spacious balcony to watch the Wallaby's and Roo's munching on the grass near Newstead Pond. The bird life is prolific and the King Parrots may drop in to visit.
The neighbourhood is a quiet area where the neighbours are friendly and you will be likely to stand out if you don't say Hello to people as you walk past them on the way to the beach. Please be considerate of my neighbours and ensure outside lights are switched off when you go to bed at night.
  • Lovely spot to stay in Moruya. The amenities are new, clean and provide a relaxing atmosphere. The balcony was particularly enjoyable to sit and enjoy with a drink. Elizabeth has thought of many nice touches to make the trip enjoyable.

    Karen2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic stay, deffs recommend Hazel Nest if you are looking to get away.

    Lily2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful space and a thoughtful host

    Mark2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful little studio tucked away in the quiet coastal town of Moruya Heads. Close to the beach and Moruya. We had a great stay at Elizabeth's place which included homemade biscuits on arrival! Thank you Elizabeth, I certainly recommend this as a place to stay on the South Coast.

    Alex2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Elizabeth’s place was perfect for our weekend getaway. It has everything you need amenity wise, easy checkin, sparkly clean and not far from the beach. We also arrived to some freshly made biscuits which was delight. Would absolutely recommend Elizabeth’s place.

    Nicola2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely week's stay at Hazel Nest. It is a modern, very clean and comfortable space with great views.

    Wendy2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Elizabeth’s place. She was super easy to deal with and very flexible and helpful. We can’t wait to come back.

    Nick2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed 4 week's at Elizabeth's and loved it. Communicating with Elizabeth was a breeze, she was super-helpful with local tips and very friendly. Elizabeth's suite is new and very stylish - especially the bathroom! The balcony is the standout, so relaxing to eat breakfast outside, read and relax looking out over the treetops. The bed was very comfy which was a plus. I appreciated having the Weber on the balcony and the kitchen had a proper fridge, microwave and cooking essentials. On my suggestion, Elizabeth promptly purchased a small induction cooktop and this allowed cooking a more substantial meal. The bird life is wonderful and we had various winged visitors accompanied by lovely bird calls. Don't hesitate to stay at Elizabeth's and make sure you make the most of your time with a walk down to the lookout at Toragy Point to look for the seals and maybe see some whales.

    Sarah2019-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • We wanted a place that was quiet and close to beaches, and Melissa and Craig's updated place was a great way for us to get just that. The space was comfortable, clean, and private. The outdoor kitchen was a nice touch, and we had access to all the basics needed to make our meals. Our GPS didn't lead us directly to their doorstep, but their "Sunnyside" sign and helpful instructions guided us. Thanks again for being such great hosts! We really enjoyed our relaxing weekend.

  • Certainly the friendliest airbnb we have stayed in. A beautiful little apartment, perfect for two, set on a lovely property near some of the nicest beaches on the south coast. A great getaway for a few days - could have comfortably stayed for longer. Would love to return!

    James2017-01-06T00:00:00Z

  • We really enjoyed our five nights at Sunnyside Farm. The property is in a nice, quiet location with glorious views and the apartment is beautifully presented with some nice little extra touches (a basket of toiletries, farm-fresh eggs in the fridge). Craig and Melissa are warm and friendly hosts, who gave us some great tips on places to visit in the area. We were also smitten by Molly the dog (who is shy but winsome). :) Highly recommended!

Bush, beach, river and birds-little things that make your stay at Lazy Days so relaxing. It's a quiet home with no children. Nestled amongst the bush, it's peaceful and comfy. With privacy assured, you have your own private entry, a QS bedroom, sitting room with brekky bar and a luxurious bathroom all to yourself. Only a few minutes to the river and the beach, or 5 mins to Moruya-the choice is yours how you spend your weekend. With brekky provided each day, all you need to do is relax & unwind.
It is situated very close to both the river and the ocean, plus only 5 mins to town. We have wildlife around, especially native birds and kangaroos. Its so peaceful and quiet. Your part of our home, is private and secure so you can come and go as you please. There is a locked door between our home and your space but we have a door bell you can use if you need us. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our home (Geoff is a professional cleaner) and like to provide you with little extras that make your stay more enjoyable. A late checkout ensures you wont have to rush off home, so you can relax a little longer.
We have great neighbours! One of them is a keen fisherman, so if you need advice he will be sure to help. Another has a dog that occasionally barks but is friendly. Everyone is permanent residents, some who have lived here for over 30 years, so that gives you an idea of why we love it.

  • Absolutely 11/10! We had an incredible time and the house was immaculate in every sense of the word :) We were luckily enough to snap this one up due to someone cancelling and man were we impressed! Everything you could possibly want/need and more! Little touches such as candles and bubble bath in the bathroom to a few complimentary shots of tawny port made this stay something to remember! Ingrid and Geoff were both perfect host's and made us feel like we were at our home away from home. They had some great tips about places to go in Moruya and knew all the secret little places dotted around. The only negative was that we couldn't stay longer! ah well next time! We will definitely be back again! Thanks so much Ingrid and Geoff!
