  • We came for a girls weekend of peace away and had a fabulous time. The hot tub was well used- worth setting an early alarm to watch the sun rise from the tub. We have both said we will be back :-) Lucy & Louise

  • An absolutely amazing break with quirky good vibes. Perfectly set in the middle of nowhere the perfect get away from reality. Plenty of local villages and the national park not too far away. The bluebird penthouse was everything I could of imagined. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we cant wait to return.

  • The most magical place EVER. We expected the Bluebird Penthouse to be a beautiful, tranquil place when we booked it and saw the pictures, however they do it no justice - the whole is the epitome of beauty and relaxation. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing weekend away this is THE place. The caravan itself has everything you need and more, and has a perfect full size bathroom including a lush, deep bath and 2 radiators which keep it lovely and warm and space for your towels (which are provided!). The bed is unbelievably comfy and quite large - there are plenty of plugs around the bed to charge your phone etc. The place is absolutely flawless and we literally felt at home there from the second we arrived. We loved how everything was so well considered such as little booklets and notes holding plenty of tips and info about where to go/ eat / see and we wish the weather was a little better so we could of sat outside and had a BBQ! The outdoor area is beautiful with a little table and comfy chairs to relax in and then a little table with 2 chairs which would be great for meals outside !! We will definitely be returning but hopefully for longer than a weekend next time 🤗

  • This place is so much fun! The views from the penthouse are incredible and the Land Rover hot tub is a fantastic feature. We will definitely recommend this place to friends looking for a relaxing break.

  • Best friend and I needed a night away as far as away and this hit the spot. Spent all night laughing and having a great time in tub. Before that we ventured for a walk to find great spots for taking pictures. Comfortable stay, welcoming and friendly hosts. Lovely area too!

  • A super quirky escape to the depths of Devon. Hot tub is fab. Caravan very cute and cosy (even when blowing a gale and chucking it down outside!). Lovely local walks to local pubs in High Bickington, Roborough and Beaford.

  • Helen and her husband are great hosts. The facility is well appointed. The kitchen has a lot of nice extra utensils. The pans are very high quality. The location is in a beautiful rural location. You do need your own transportation to get around the area. The indoor pool and hot tub are really nice.

  • Outstanding Hospitality and facilities. Definitely a great place to stay. We were a group of eight and we all felt very welcome and looked after throughout our stay. Hazel and John were always on hand when we needed anything and have great local knowledge. The pool, the barbeque cabin and cinema room are the icing on the cake. 100% would recommend this accommodation to families and groups.

    Nilesh2019-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • We booked the large house that sleeps 10 and it was as advertised and more. The extras which were provided such as tea, coffee and cake for when we arrived, the board games etc and in the brilliant swimming pool were pool toys and swimming aids for the children. We would be happy to recommend the house to everyone

  • Our stay in cottage number 6 was great. The cottage is stylish and very spacious. We were a group of 6 adults and 2 young children. It was sparkly clean and the kitchen was fully equipped. The facilities on site are fabulous - great pool and fantastic park area for the kids. The setting is very peaceful yes close to lots of things to do. Hazel was great at communicating and sent us thorough details for everything we needed before our arrival. I will definitely be coming back!

  • It was ideal for 6 adults and 2 children. It was very spacious and had plenty of equipment in the kitchen with double amounts of plates and cutlery. The pool was fantastic and it was lovely to just walk across the courtyard. It was peaceful and set in a lovely location with good access to beaches and towns.

  • A lovely cosy cottage which was clean and tidy. Handy to have a big TV and Netflix etc especially when weather bad. Highly recommend pub just on corner. Food was fantastic. Easy check in and communication. Off street parking. Had everything you need with extra bedding, towels etc. We did have a leak while there but they responded immediately, checked we were ok and arranged to make things better.

  • Very recommended place to stay. It was very tidy and clean. There are lots of amenities such as smart tv with provided Netflix account and a really good wine as a welcoming treat. Looking forward to stay here again !!

  • A wonderfully cosy and charming place and a great base to explore from. We had a fantastic stay with our two young boys. The cottage is so comfortable and there were so many thoughtful touches such as the nespresso machine and toiletries in bathroom. Claire and Chris left lots of helpful information and were quick to reply to any questions. The bedrooms are really tastefully decorated and everything so clean and fresh - also great to have bedrooms next to each other with young kids. We had a wet and windy few days but still did some coastal walking and it was great to have the cosy wood burner to come back to and lovely hot showers. Didn’t eat in the pub (literally opposite) but kids loved the skittle alley and (small) soft play in the room downstairs. Ilfracombe just up the road and Barnstaple is not far (a great cheese shop and bakery - and trampoline park for kids for wet weather activities).

    Nicky2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great pub and grub across the road

    Tracy2020-02-03T00:00:00Z

Dog friendly this time of year too. Hired bikes in the local village of Braunton, £15 for 2 adult bikes all day, thanks Otters cycles. • A little gem of a retreat in the North Devon countryside, and with the coast just being less than a 10 min drive away. Pollyanna is a kind and thoughtful host. She provided us with local information, she’s always on hand if needed and even warming up our hot tub when we’d been out for the day so it was ready when we returned. We loved the layout of the place and it was very clean and the kitchen has everything you need. The views are stunning and the lake a tranquil retreat. We were there for my husbands 40th birthday and our 3 children of 9 and 8 yrs. The Farm provided enough things for us to do if we wanted to stay there all day or there were lots of other activities close by if needed. We really had a special time, the hot tub is amazing and we have lots of wonderful memories to take away with us. Thanks to Pollyanna and her husband for having us.

    Karina2020-02-09T00:00:00Z

  • Such a beautiful lodge so private and very tranquil. Took two small dogs with us and loved the fact the garden is completely secure and there was no way for them to get out made being in the hot tub even more relaxing not worrying where they were in the garden. Brilliant facilities and thoughtful little touches such as tea, coffee, sugar and milk for the humans and a towel, bowl and treats for the dogs! Definitely will be coming back!!

    Kaimana2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing! The lodge is beautiful in every way, the location is perfect if you want to get away somewhere quiet for a couple of nights and the village/Towns nearby have everything you could want!

  • This was a special weekend, so we didn't mind spending a little more than we would normally, but it turned out to be entirely worth it. The 'lodge' was one of three but they were all positioned so as to afford good privacy. It was spotlessly clean, spacious and very well fitted out, especially the bathroom, with all high quality fittings, all working properly and everything we needed, including some 'freebies' to make us welcome, like milk and coffee for the cafetière. All the towels and sheets were provided, and bonus bath robes. The hot tub was such a great addition. We weren't sure if it was working during the winter but it was and provided a real treat after a 20K walk on Sunday. We had cause to contact the owner Nick and he responded quickly and helped us out as fast as he could. We are definitely going back!

  • Beautiful lodge, definitely worth the money

    Myles2019-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place, really secluded, quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was lush!! The hosts were more than helpful and left some homely touches to make us welcome. The booklet made by the hosts informing us of local walks, shops, pubs etc was really helpful! Would 100% go again! :)

  • This little lodge is hidden gem in the countryside. It had everything we needed for our stay and more. The only issue we had were the surrounding public roads which are really very narrow especially in a 4x4

High Tide is a light open plan space with it's own private access and parking, for one vehicle, in the vibrant village of Braunton. Perfectly located in the centre of the village, but hidden away from the hustle and bustle. Shops, pubs and restaurants are all within walking distance and our local beach, Saunton Sands, is just 2.5 miles away. Great for surfing and family days out. Suited to couples and small families, High Tide is a great base to discover the beauty of North Devon.
High Tide is a one bedroom apartment with shower room and open plan lounge, kitchenette, diner. Compact but designed to make maximum use of the space, it is light and airy with everything you would expect to need for your stay. The lounge area can ideally sleep 2 children on 2 single sofa beds, separate to the main seating area, therefore allowing the beds to be left up during your entire stay. The bedroom also has space to accommodate a travel cot. The kitchenette is fully equipped with an under counter fridge (with freezer compartment), microwave oven, George Forman grill, freestanding single pan induction hob, kettle and toaster. Please note the kitchenette does not have a cooker but we have ensured that the appliances provided are capable of making a wholesome home cooked meal. The alternative of course is to sample all of our wonderful restaurants nearby .... tempting I'm sure! Please contact us should you have any further questions .... we are always happy to answer them.
Our neighbourhood has a strong focus on surfing and outdoor activities. Braunton is situated close to famous surfing beaches such as Saunton Sands, Croyde and Woolacombe and easily accessible to the rugged beauty of Exmoor National Park. The Tarka Trail cycle path which stretches 163 miles is also right on our doorstep.
  • The flat was beautifully clean and the location was brilliant for the local pub/fish and chips/shops/cafes. They made you feel very welcome and left key touches such as milk, tea and coffee to help you settle in.

  • Perfect for a couple with young children. We stayed here for a wedding with 4 adults and was perfect for a night, any longer might have been a bit tight but Alex made us aware of this when we booked. It was very clean, hosts were really helpful and location perfect. Would highly recommend staying if you are in the local area.

The Lookout is a newly built log cabin which occupies a superb position with spectacular views over Braunton, the burrows and beyond. The log cabin is situated at the top of our garden next to our house. Access is via numerous steps - this is certainly well worth it for the view. We are conveniently located within the village of Braunton, around 5 minutes walk to the centre where there are a great variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. There is off street parking for one car.
The Lookout is a cosy hideaway with a king size bed, sofa and small kitchen area (fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster). There is a shower room and WC within the log cabin and this has space to dry wetsuits. On the terrace there is a bench and table to enjoy the stunning sunsets. Access to The Lookout is via an onsite keysafe for self check in. We will provide tea, coffee, sugar and a pint of milk for your arrival. DOGS Dogs are welcome at The Lookout but we ask that you are considerate as we have two children that use the garden. There is a one off charge of £20 but please let us know in advance. Dogs are not to be left unattended in the log cabin. *No Barbecues* **The Lookout isn't for anyone with limited mobility as there are numerous steps to the cabin** Please note: our garden is a work in progress and is a little rustic in places, this won't affect your stay or the view.
We are only a short drive from some of the best beaches in North Devon, to name a few - Saunton Sands, Croyde, Putsborough, Woolacombe and Barricane. We are only 5 minutes walk into Braunton which has numerous shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs.

So we spent a lot more time inside than planned, luckily the lookout was really cosy and warm & had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely recommend & would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

  • Had a lovely stay. The bedrooms were a great size, everything was clean and the ‘extras’ were really appreciated (milk, tea, coffee, games, dvds, books etc). Off road parking and peaceful

  • Perfect for a family stay - and really nice welcome touches

    Germán2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent, well equipped accommodation with parking. Super warm and cosy. The arrangement of having one of the bedrooms on the ground floor worked well for us, as one of our party struggles with stairs. Location is excellent for touring the sites of North Devon and it’s amazing dog friendly beaches. Eleven out of ten!

    Jonathan2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Deceptively large cottage in a great location. Incredibly accommodating host, can’t recommend highly enough.

    John2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This was a lovely place to stay for our family. My mum was able to bring her dog as there was a little garden. The cottage is really nicely equipped with decent cutlery and wine glasses. It's right near the centre of town too. Our host made the cottage look nice for Christmas and has put thought into welcoming touches. We don't have young kids but this would also be a good place to stay for families with younger children.

    Mandy2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Our second visit and it was wonderful. We travelled with our grown up family and there was more than enough space. It was lovely and clean with some thoughtful touches. Cottage was cozy and warm too, with a lovely gas burner in lounge. We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend and will return again. Thanks!!

    Helen2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Loads of space for a very reasonable price

    Tom2019-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • A little gem in North Devon This was a lovely well equipped cosy cottage set in the middle of Braunton village with Evey shop you can think of. Everything in the cottage was quality and so much more than we expected. The the cottages are surrounded by pretty mature shrubs and the garden was a small secluded area to sit out in and have a cup of tea, which we did in the middle of November. We would recommend this place and the hosts were super.

  • Our stay at Jenny's was just perfect—with lovely little touches like water/coffee/tea, pastries, delicious breakfast options. Quick responses when we were delayed in traffic for our arrival and great local knowledge tips and maps made our two day stay stress-free and relaxing. The rooms/apartment itself is self-contained with a large bedroom, dressing area and bathroom as well as separate living/dining, so it's quiet and private with spectacular views across the beach and Braunton. A special mention to cleanliness and super-comfy bed and pillows—all carefully considered and appreciated.

The Chiggypig is a newly converted detached annexe situated in the grounds of our Victorian home. It was previously an old coach house which has been completely renovated into a contemporary living space. Its elevated position offers views across to Appledore and Hartland. Decorated to a high spec, it is designed and suitable for couples or a single person looking for a peaceful break away on this gorgeous North Devon coastline.
Situated close to the village centre - just a few minutes walk to the restaurants, bars and shops of Braunton. The stunning surf beaches of Saunton and Croyde are only a few minutes drive, as is the championship golf course at Saunton. We are also close to the Ash Barton estate if you are attending a wedding or function there. The property consists of a fully equipped modern kitchen/dining area with far reaching views. Cosy lounge with snuggly sofa, freeview TV and woodburning stove. Contemporary designed double bedroom with luxury linen bedding, remote contolled velux blind and window so you can lie in bed and watch the stars. Clothes storage (wardrobe and drawers) available in the lounge area. A modern bathroom featuring a superb shower and fluffy towels. The Chiggypig has been decorated using classic design with unique finishes. Outside guests can relax on their own large decked private terrace with pergola and comfortable seating. A warm water outdoor rain shower is available for washing off wetsuits and sandy toes. Surfboard and golf club storage is available on request. The property is reached by a separate entrance through our garden and several steps so it is not recommended for anyone with mobility problems. We live in the main house so are available if required but respect our guests privacy. We have a friendly family dog who may wish to come and say hello in the garden if he sees you. There is off street parking available for one vehicle. If you will be bringing two vehicles, we can accommodate with prior notice. If you have a reason to celebrate, we can assist you with making the occasion extra special and can organise flowers, champagne, chocolates or cake on arrival at an additional cost. We adore the Chiggypig as its part of our home- its been our labour of love and we hope you love it as much as us.
The neighbourhood is a quiet residential area with fabulous views. The village centre is only a few minutes walk away with some great restaurants, bars, shops and the very popular Squires fish & chip shop !
  • Fantastic place to stay. A lovely trip to North Devon, even with the wind and rain. Everything was taken care of and we were able to enjoy a relaxing break. Comfortable and clean and even a few board games to play.

    Adam2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • The Chiggypig is a beautifully designed and laid out self contained property within the garden of our hosts Pamela and Carl. The property is modern and clean with a layout that protects your privacy as guests but also offers every home comfort. The outside of the property has a spacious deck area that provides wonderful views out over the estuary. We stayed during a particularly wet March weekend so we couldn’t utilise the outside areas but this would be heavenly on a warm sunny summer evening. But if the weather is bad the Chiggypig provides a lovely wood burner to keep you warm and toasty. The hosts were helpful and responsive and welcomed us with a very thoughtful welcome pack of food essentials and a Devon cream tea. We will be back and have no hesitation recommending the Chiggypig!

Pamela was very helpful at all times before our trip and the accommodation when we arrived was just fantastic - clean, welcoming and very comfortable. • We spent two days is this beautiful and relaxing countryside with woodland, wildlife and lots of walks to chose from, magnific scenery and the beaches all few miles away. The host was super helpful, friendly, warm, made us feel very welcome. The camping was really nice too, lots of space for everyone, not fancy but simple and with all the necessary including warm showers and a nice cup of tea. The highlight was the amazing sky we had above us in the evening, don't think I've ever seen so many stars, breathtaking. It was the perfect gate away from the city back to nature and we totally loved it, highly recommend.

  • Pure and rustic camping dies what it says on the label. Our pitch was vast, and there was spring water on tap. Mark was very welcoming, he went the extra mile and then some to make us feel at home. We will definitely be back!

Lovely sunny private one bedroom property just a two minute walk from the restaurants and shops in the village. A bright and airy bedroom, comfortable sunny lounge, bathroom, fully equipped modern kitchen, private garden and parking. 5 mins to the nearest beach.
Horfield Nook is a sunny property set on a quiet residential street. However, it is a two minute walk from the centre of Braunton with its lovely shops and restaurants and only a five minute drive from some beautiful beaches. Saunton and Croyde beaches are the closest and Woolacombe is just a little further. It is a great base to explore the area or simply relax with a book. There are also some lovely walks from the property with stunning views out over the estuary and out to sea.
Franklyn Avenue is a quiet tree lined street a stones throw from the village and local beaches.

  • The Nook is a real hidden gem that has everything you would need for a getaway. It is literally 2 mintues walk from the main town which has all the amenities you require. 5 minutes up the road is Saunton Sands which for us as beginner surfers is the best place to learn our trade. You have Croyde and Woolacombe just up the road too for more advanced surfing. The Nook is very welcoming, beautifully decorated and has an extremely comfortable bed. We will definately be re-booking again for our monthly surf adventures!

IT IS WITH A HEAVY HEART THAT WE HAVE DECIDED TO CLOSE THE BARN FOR MARCH AND APRIL 2020. PLEASE DO GET IN TOUCH THOUGH IF YOU HAVE ANY ENQUIRIES Welcome to our newly launched for 2019 luxury Nordic-inspired retreat a short distance from the popular coastal communities of Croyde, Putsborough and Woolacombe, with all the sights and activities they have to offer. The Barn is the perfect place to explore, unwind and relax away from it all.
The Barn offers a Scandinavian-style open-plan living space with a log-burning stove and pitched clad ceiling giving a feeling of space and light. Double doors lead to a garden, with an additional south-facing patio area at the front for morning breakfasts. That is, of course, if you can bring yourself to leave the beautifully decorated bedroom, which features a super king bed, feather pillows and duvets finished with White Company linen ensuring a blissful night’s sleep. The generous bathroom boasts a freestanding bath with a separate shower and underfloor heating. The fully stocked kitchen will include tea, coffee, bread, butter e.t.c however as part of our onsite concierge service we are happy to supply breakfast items if you require anything in particular do get in touch. There is parking for two cars on a private drive. Whether you stay for a few nights or a few weeks, our contemporary, cosy hideaway will leave you feeling relaxed and revived with a true Nordic feeling of hygge. The Barn also has Amazon Firestick TV and Wifi for those who want to stay connected to the outside world and a music system. Please note - we are currently not on fibre internet, so achieve about a 6-8MB download which is sufficient for watching TV and general internet surfing. While we respect your privacy at all times, please note that The Barn is set within our property and the garden is still growing, so at this time the garden is not 100% private. Children Although The Barn is set up to sleep two people, we can organise for a travel cot to be set up in the bedroom on request, along with highchairs etc. Dogs Well behaved dogs are welcome at The Barn; however, we do have a small child and our own dog, so we would ask they are kept under control at all times including in the back garden, which is not fully enclosed at this time. We also ask that all dogs are not allowed on the bed. Please let us know at the time of booking if you would like to bring a dog: there is a one-off fee of £25 (with the best will in the world it takes extra time to clean thoroughly after a dog has been to stay) we can also provide beds, bowls etc. on request. Just let us know and we’ll have it all catered for. Cleaning Fee: Please note that if you are staying for two nights only there will be a £25 charge for cleaning, I can only request this after the time of booking as airbnb at this time do not have a facility to accommodate this.
North Devon is a county of contrasts, from the wilds of Exmoor, the magical woodlands that hug the coastline, the quaint villages of the coast to the beaches which are a haven for surfers this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty something to offer everyone. The Barn is perfectly placed to explore it all. After a busy day you can return to your cosy sanctuary, listen to the owls and experience some of the best stargazing England has to offer.
  • Just returned home from a lovely weekend at this amazing beautiful barn which had gorgeous stylish interiors. The barn Is incredible with beautiful surroundings and was spotlessly clean...we were made very welcome by Sam and Ted and only needed to ask if we needed anything..The barn's in an excellent location and close to many beautiful beaches..it was the perfect relaxing stay for my husband and I and our dog storm who enjoyed having a run around with Kodak. We would highly recommend this to anyone who's looking for relaxing break away and will look forward to revisiting this beautiful place again in the near future..thank you Sam and Ted for being great hosts xx

  • We had a wonderful stay in North Devon, the Barn was amazing and meant that even being stuck inside on a rainy afternoon was enjoyable! Our dog really enjoyed the heated floor and the log burner :)

  • The barn is an absolutely idyllic place to stay. It is perfectly positioned in the Devon countryside but is well within reach of stunning beaches and towns such as Ilfracombe and woolacombe. Sam and Ted are the perfect hosts and made us feel so welcome. We would not hesitate to return . The barn itself is immaculately clean , tastefully decorated and has a number of great features including a powerful shower, big bath and all the kitchen facilities you will need during your stay. The big cosy sofa and the log burner also create the perfect cosy corner for relaxing.

    Jessie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Samantha’s barn blew all of our expectations away. First of all it was bigger than we expected, with loads of room and a comfy living space. The facilities were spot on with a fully equipped kitchen. The whole place was spotless and the bathroom was quite the cherry on top. Beautiful huge bath and lovely shower. Their local suggestions were fantastic including the Rock Inn which you must go to. We were also recommended to go to Dulverton and a walk around Lynton which were both fantastic and only 45 minutes to an hour away. An amazing holiday we won’t forget. Thanks again!

    Millie2020-02-19T00:00:00Z

The 'Snug' is a beautiful, cosy cottage based in Braunton Village just minutes from local shops and restaurants. The beach is only a five minute drive away and being dog friendly we are perfectly located for your four - legged friends to enjoy a sea side getaway too! The 'Snug' has a large kitchen/diner/lounge which is beautifully decorated or for those sunny evenings we offer a BBQ so you can dine outside. The bedroom lends itself perfectly to the cosy cottage feel you will get with 'The Snug'.
'The Snug' is the smaller of two converted barns forming part of the courtyard to one of Braunton’s oldest houses. 'The Snug' has an open planned living area and has been refurbished this year (2018) and decorated beautifully! There is a small utility area with a washing machine and bathroom with a shower.
Situated close to the centre of the village, the holiday homes are within easy reach of Braunton’s shops, restaurants and pubs. Braunton is the gateway to North Devon’s surfing area, and the well renowned beaches of Croyde, Saunton and Woolacombe offer some of the best sandy beaches and surf in the country. The backdrop to these beaches is the stunning South West Coast Path which offers some excellent walking with lovely views over the sea. ACE holiday lettings works closely with local businesses offering activities from surfing and coast steering to yoga and massage - just ask for more details.
  • On a wet, wild and, windy February afternoon we arrived at The Snug, but it was easy to find and the on site parking was excellent. The cottage is warm, comfortable and spacious with a nice welcoming bottle in the fridge. A comfy bed with good linen and soft towels. The open-plan kitchen / lounge has all the facilities needed. But it's close proximity to the village centre is only a short walk to restaurants, pubs and village stores without driving. When the weather improves there is a small lawned garden with deck furniture which is good. Despite the February weather we had a great weekend and would recommend a stay at the snug.

  • We were in North Devon for the week looking in the area for a potential relocation. We found Annabelle's pad to be a perfect base to explore from. The annexe was ideal for my wife and i, so cosy after a days motoring as we relaxed in front of the TV. We kept ourselves to ourselves but new having met our host that if we required anything it would have been no problem just to ask. Thank you for making us feel welcome and sharing your lovely space with us... Iain & Terri xx..

  • Great place at a great value! A super easy 10min walk to the centre of town. The place was as expected, not huge but perfect for a weekend away. Comfy bed, hot shower, good heating and free parking at the front. Check-in was really easy and Annabel was really quick to respond to messages. Only down side was that the wifi didn’t work. Almost no signal in the house and continually disconnected. Besides that, everything was perfect!

    Katrina2019-11-24T00:00:00Z

  • After a crisis with another hotel, Rose came too our aid with a last minute booking. Rose and Jim were the most amazing hosts we have ever had, lighting the log fire before we arrived, helping us travel to get food, they really went above and beyond to be accommodating. They have put so much thought and effort into the cabin, such as the doggie basket and all the amazing variety of hot drinks. Our elderly dog really settled into the warm atmosphere and had an amazing last holiday. We are so grateful and please with our accommodation and would love to stop again.

  • Beautiful place! So much nicer than we expected. They have thought of all the little touches, tea bags, coffee, hot chocolates. The heated blanket was on for our arrival late at night. We would certainly stay again.

  • Second time staying here. Beautiful, cosy little place. Hosts have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. Thank you

  • We had a wonderful stay in this delightful and warm cottage. The location is great for exploring the coast and cosy and warm when coming back from a winter’s walk. Rose and Linda have clearly put a lot of love into this place. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone who wants a relaxing quick break and it would also be fantastic to stay for a longer holiday. Just splendid!

    Anna2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a perfect little place. The lodge is so very cosy, even better than we hoped. Linda and Rose were incredible hospitable. Cannot recommend this space enough, especially if you hope to explore the Devon Coastline.

  • Excellent location just a couple of moments drive from the centre of Braunton and a very lovely walk along the Tarka Trail which runs along the end of the street. Lovely little property tucked away behind the main house. Really comfortable bed and sofa, very clean and well appointed for a weekend get away. The Williams Arms just over the main road did decent, good value pub grub. Saunton Sands beach is well worth a visit, we had a beautiful (very windy) walk along the beach and in the dunes. Excellent accommodation, clean and comfortable and perfect location.

    Pip2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great cute little annex house. Totally private. Quiet. Comfy and cozy. There are two small electric kitchen hobs so don’t expect to be doing lots of cooking but everything you need is there.

This cozy, detached, red brick cottage is in Braunton village, North Devon, close to the UNESCO world heritage site of Saunton Burrows, the stunning Croyde Bay and many other beautiful beaches. There is a double bedroom and separate shower room upstairs and a lounge, (with double sofa bed), and kitchenette downstairs. The cottage is set in the garden of the owner's home but plenty of screening gives privacy and a small private courtyard is set aside for your use.
The Sail Loft was originally built in the late 19th Century and converted about 30 years ago into guest accommodation.
Surf, kayak, swim or just be on one of our beautiful North Devon beaches. Explore the coast paths or the wild beauty of Exmoor. Braunton is a large village with a range of independent shops, restaurants, pubs and takeaways.
  • Excellent Air BNB - great space and nicely finished. Really loved that there was milk in the fridge on arrival so we could enjoy a cuppa as soon as we arrived 😊

  • Accommodation was everything we expected from the description; clean, self-contained and hidden away at the bottom of the garden. Close to shops and pubs and very near to Tarka Trail - we did a lot of walking. Liked the extra touches of tea, coffee and milk etc. Would certainly come again if we re-visit this part of the world

  • We had a lovely few days staying at Gillian Flat. The flat was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Gillian is a lovely host and made us feel at home. The area is near the Tarka trail Braunton. Which is a nice walk along the River Taw and the estuary. We stopped off at Heaton Court Pub/Hotel for a meal before returning back to Braunton. The seaside at Croyde and Wollacombe are near by.

This is a spacious, super clean, modern, beachy room with a luxurious King size bed and a large ensuite shower. It is very quiet and linked to our home but has its own front door. We live in a peaceful part of Braunton but within 2 minutes walk are wonderful cafes and restaurants as well as a Co-op shop. 10 minutes drive away are the glorious beaches of Saunton, Croyde and Woolacombe! Ideal for singles/couples wanting quiet and space, or golfers, cyclists, walkers and surfers!
Sandy Toes is off the highway at the back of our property, so very quiet and not overlooked by other properties. Private parking in front of Sandy Toes means you can keep an eye on your car. Everything is on one level so ideal if you don't want to climb steps.
This is a quiet, leafy part of Braunton and the room itself is very quiet and dark at night so you needn't worry about your baby making a noise (we can provide a travel cot if necessary). We would recommend le Bistro du Coin for French food (excellent, must book), Squires for award-winning fish and chips, SQ for all day good food and the Riverside restaurant (all within 2 to 5 mins walk).
  • Another wonderful stay at Sandy Toes! The location is just perfect and the hosting spectacular, so thank you 😊

  • This is a wonderful place to stay if you’re looking for a central point in Braunton. Less than a five minute walk from the village centre. Sandy toes is fresh, clean, light, airy, spacious and has absolutely everything you need. Kerstin was so hospitable and approachable but you have your own entrance and complete privacy. It will be the first place I look to book next time I come

  • Very lovely room in an annexe from the main house with great facilities and a very good location. Braunton is a short drive to some amazing beaches and the village has lovely shops and restaurants that aren’t inundated with holidaymakers in peak August, so very relaxing. Kerstin was a wonderful host and the space was very thoughtfully furnished, comfortable and offered a good degree of privacy and off-street parking. Definitely would stay here again.

The local pub served lovely food and staff were very helpful. The beach, shops and other local amenities are all within walking distance. You will not regret staying here.....

  • Even better than expected! The space is so stylish and has the best technology and equipment in every room - some of which is better than our own home! We felt very welcomed by Anne-Marie's hospitality as well as the scones waiting for us and a helpful welcome folder with tips for the local area. Last but not least, the hot tub was definitely a highlight - a generous size and kept very clean. The only downside was that we couldn't stay longer! Would definitely recommend and hope to stay again in the future.

    Susannah2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • AMAZING. Rachel is a wonderful host and the apartment is home from home. This is our third time back this year so that says it all. Wonderful views, comfortable bed, spotlessly clean, relaxing, alpacas and hens an added bonus, what's there not to like. Can't wait to return.

    Gail2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful location and contemporary accommodation. Extremely well equipped, it was a real home from home whilst I was working away. I loved watching the alpacas grazing and the chickens grubbing around searching for their next meal! Would definitely stay again and can recommend anyone looking to stay in the area not to hesitate to book if Rachel’s place comes up in their searches

  • A beautiful, peaceful apartment with stunning views and friendly and helpful hosts. It is well equipped with lovely welcoming touches, and is spotlessly clean with modern furnishings and light neutral decor. We enjoyed meeting and watching the delightful alpacas and friendly chickens. An excellent base from which to explore the North Devon coast and the SW coast path or cycle/walk on the Tarka Trail.

  • This accommodation is outstanding. A very stylish and well furnished flat in a stunning location. Spotlessly clean and great attention to detail. Home cooked bread and fresh eggs to make breakfast on the balcony and a walk with the adorable alpacas. What more could we ask. We have no hesitation in recommending the accommodation and the hosts.

Quirky little cottage located in the heart of Croyde only a 15 minute walk to the world class surfing beach and seconds from the village centre, close to local restaurants and pubs, making it an ideal holiday rental for couples.
Seashell cottage is arranged over two floors, with a comfortable seating area, Playstation 4 with games, dinning for two and a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher. Upstairs you will find a comfortable double bed with skylight, so you can lay in bed and stargaze! With a en-suite shower room (showers only in the bath due to the hot water system installed in the cottage) we provide all towels and bedding so you will have everything you need for a relaxing getaway. A few yards away is a little patio garden with picnic bench and BBQ with far reaching views across the valley. A couple of things to note on street parking is within 100 yards of the cottage, there is no designated parking space with the cottage, the stairs in the cottage are quite steep and narrow so care must be taken, also the cottage is set back from the road so it's a short walk away, past another house and down some stairs. You can book to arrive any day except Saturday.
The pretty village of Croyde is one of North Devon’s most renowned seaside locations, due to its excellent surf, beautiful scenery and vibrant village feel. As a surfing mecca, you’ll find numerous places to hire equipment and arrange lessons. If you’re feeling adventurous, why not explore the coast with an exhilarating coasteering session, or book yourself onto a rockpool ramble to discover more of the marine wildlife. After a day of fun, kick back and relax in one of Croyde’s legendary pubs with a local ale, or for a unique experience check out the Deckchair Cinema. Croyde’s sheltered bay, on-site facilities and lifeguard presence make it a great family destination too; and not all its activities are water based. The National Trust’s Baggy Point headland and surrounding area make for some excellent coastal walking with breath-taking views, and there are plenty of other activities nearby to keep you busy, including cycling, horse riding, golf and tennis. Every summer, Croyde Bay hosts the ever-popular Goldcoast Oceanfest offering a great weekend full of water sports, outdoor adventure and a cracking music line up throughout the weekend — certainly not an event to be missed!
  • Perfect cosy cottage for a wonderful coastal break. Excellent location with great facilities. Will definitely be back!

    Katy2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little apartment in Croyde. It was clean, cosy and perfect sized for 2 plus the dog! Brilliant location (close to the pubs and nice walking distance to beach.) We even had a nice time in Croyde on a stormy Sunday running to and from a roast dinner in The Thatch. As a place I have visited since childhood this apartment was perfect for a adult weekend away, we hope to come back in the summer. Would highly recommend staying in Croyde and in this apartment (definitely watch the video Karen sends on how to get to the cottage, without it we would've been lost)

    Lydia2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • We love love love Croyde, we usually stay in near by Braunton, but saw Seashell Cottage and it looked perfect for the three of us (two humans and a furry four legged one!)We came down to celebrate Daves 40th and we had the best time. The thatch always has been our favourite place, but this was the first time we had a Sunday roast there...Oh my god! Do not miss out. Karen was a fantastic host, and seashell cottage was just perfect. We will be back.....Please!!

    Wendy2020-02-04T00:00:00Z

  • I loved Sea Shell so much that I extended my stay by a week after the first few days. A cosy place in a wonderful location, perfect for a couple, friends or a solo vacation. Karen was a wonderful host and available for a questions that I had.

  • Great little cottage in perfect location!!

    Alicia2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Seashell cottage is small and perfectly organised for a single traveller or couple. The bed is blissfully comfortable and everything is spotlessly clean. It’s a character cottage with a spiral staircase and a number of steps for external access so Seashell is best avoided if you have mobility issues. The beaches nearby are breathtakingly beautiful and if you like walking by the sea you’ll be very happy.

    Rachel2019-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • Seashell is a beautifully maintained cottage nestled off St Mary’s Road. There is no designated parking but there is parking available on the road nearby and we never had any problem finding a space. Spotlessly clean throughout, on arrival we were welcomed with biscuits and fresh milk in the fridge, and a plentiful supply of tea, coffee and sugar. The lounge / dining area is cosy and comfortable, perfect for putting your feet up after a day exploring. The bedroom is furnished with a very comfortable double bed and good storage for your belongings; the en-suite bathroom is sparkling clean with a good hot shower. There is a folder containing all information about the cottage, local amenities and places to visit. A perfect little place to stay.
