Places to stay in Bremen
You can't get any closer to the coast of Maine. The cottage perches on a dock next to a small cove. Low tide beach, high tide swimming area, and lapping waves on a near by ledge make this get away a perfect retreat for one or two guests.
The cottage provides everything you need for a comfortable stay: New mattress and bedding, comfortable chairs for relaxing and dining, a kitchenette for light meals, and deck furniture to enjoy outdoor living. Wrap around windows provide views of the cove and access to summer breezes. A heater keeps the cabin toasty on cooler days.
We are located in a neighborhood of year round homes and summer houses. The nearby (.5 miles) Audubon property offers walking trails. Damariscotta and Round Pond, 15 minutes away, have many restaurants and shops, and galleries. A half hour drive will bring you to Camden and Rockland where you have more access to restaurants and museums. The Midcoast is a beautiful area of Maine that appeals to people who want to view the scenery of the rocky coast while they also enjoy the uniqueness of each village.
  • Sharon and Dick were expert hosts. The "Little Heaven" description of this location is an understatement. It was absolutely perfect. My soul, my body, my mind, were completely at rest in this place. I can't describe how beautiful it is: waking up to a calm inlet at low tide, sleeping to the sound of the waves lapping inward as high tide was rising, the fishermen headed out to sea in the morning, the leaves across the bay having changed looking like a palette of earth tones. It was heavenly, indeed.

  • An absolutely stunning spot- perfect for relaxing, and also perfectly positioned to adventure out and explore beautiful Maine. Sharon and Dick are perfect hosts, and their warm, welcoming personalities are evident. My husband and I listened to the tides come in and out, heard the loon singing, owl calls- Perfection really, for anyone that likes being in tune with nature.

    Caitlin2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • This space is small and cozy, right on the water where you can experience the changing tides and bird watch throughout the day (we especially loved watching the cormorants fish!). Location is great, and Sharon & Dick are super responsive and welcoming hosts. Excellent experience!

    Nikki2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay in a beautiful setting! Hard to beat the location - directly on the water - lovely to be able to watch the tide come and go on the rocky shore. The cottage is small but masterfully set-up to take advantage of the space. There are two comfortable armchairs in the windows for watching the tides and the sunset, and a deck with more chairs and tables outside. The kitchen was so meticulously set-up that I sent my son, who is a fan of "tiny houses," a few photos of the layout of dishes, cookware etc inside the cabinets - he was impressed. We had no difficulty cooking a range of nice meals despite the small space. We hope to have a chance to stay in this wonderful place again sometime soon.

  • Words truly cannot describe this little place. My husband and I eloped from Iowa, and got married right there on the boat dock, and spend a week relaxing, seeing the local sites, eating lobster and oysters, and watching the trees start to turn colors. Our first time in Maine was unbelievable, and would not have been the same had we stayed somewhere else. We loved the winding, wooded roads, and just wish we had our motorcycle! This little cottage was perfect for the two of us. Well equipped with everything we needed. We loved cooking live lobsters, grilling steaks and burgers, and eating on the deck. Dick & Sharron are wonderful!! Always friendly when we saw them around the property, and we still felt secluded and in our own private space. We look forward to returning to Little Heaven again someday!! Best vacation of our lives!

    Sarah2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful space and hosts. Waking up on the water was truly inspiring.

    Jay2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing little spot on the water. Sharon and Dick were so helpful, but not intrusive. Life does not get much better than sitting on the deck, eating lobster and watching the seals.

    Cathryn2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is truly an unforgettable slice of heaven. We had the best time staying here and felt right at home. The cottage itself was adorable, very clean and well organized, allowing us to make dinners and breakfasts everyday, as well as grill on the porch. We enjoyed nearby hiking and sightseeing, beautiful sunsets and blissful mornings. We loved how quiet the location was and its tranquility, with unique birds and a fresh ocean smell morning and night. Sharon and Dick were very welcoming and accommodating, and we felt very comfortable lounging on the porch and sitting on the dock off their property. All we can say is thank you so much for an unforgettable experience and we definitely plan to return! This place is Maine’s best kept secret, in my opinion ;)

Rustic, rural house, built by your host, near downtown Damariscotta, just off Route 1. Guest room features an en suite bathroom (with shower), and a mini kitchen with fridge and microwave, built into a closet.
  • Great place....well situated in the area...great host....recommend highly...

  • We never got a chance to meet Richard, because we arrived so late and left so early, but he left a light on for us and the door was left unlocked. It was a very comfortable night sleep. It was also extremely nice of Richard to have snacks and fruit for us.

    Jessi2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Richard was really accommodating, and was willing to let us leave our car on site so we could travel without parking. He was really friendly, and was so helpful by having breakfast items ready for us, which was something I was hoping to bring myself but didn't get time too. It made our morning much easier! Easy location for a bike ride to downtown Damariscotta (~20minutes). Small, but perfectly fine for 2 people and a quick stay. Microwave and fridge for storing and heating up leftovers from a great dinner in town! :) Thanks Richard!

    Sandy2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful woodland retreat! Thank you Richard for your hospitality!

    Tracy2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy, comfy room in the woods. I slept like a baby! The ‘kitchen’ had great snacks, fresh fruit, juice and milk along with cereal options, granola bars and delicious coffee. I was quite impressed! Richard & Samantha where great hosts and I wish we could have stayed longer!

    Lisa2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Nice private room with bath and an area for keeping food cold plus a microwave. Superb hospitality, opening his living room (with wood-burning stove!) to guests as well.

    Chip2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Richard's place was a quiet, private room and bath with it's own entrance in a wooded area close to Damariscotta. He sent very clear directions with a very visible marker at the driveway. The room is very comfortable and clean and appealing witha desk a d comfy reading chair and little kitchenet with small frig, coffee, microwave, popcorn and breakfast/snack items. Richard and his daughter Samantha greeted us warmly when we arrived. The heat was just right and the bed comfy. Loved it!

  • Richard's place was great. Just what we were !ooking for - nothing fancy, but clean, safe and comfortable. Off the beaten path in the woods.

The cottage is located 15 feet from the water and is a beautiful spot any time of the year.
The cottage is located at the end of a road with no cars ever passing by it. You are right on the water and it has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom with a beautiful screened porch to enjoy the lake all day long.
The cottage is 4 miles from the town of Damariscotta which has everything you need. Peaceful surroundings with all the needs of a town satisfied 4 miles away.
  • Absolutely amazing place on a pristine lake near to town and Hannafords. The best air bnb rental I’ve ever had and the best experience in Maine I’ve ever had!!! I 100% recommend. Be sure to bring your own water, ice, linens, towels, firewood, and toiletries. We also were glad we brought an extra blanket as it did get chilly in the bedrooms.

    Charlotte2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable home in a gorgeous location.

    Sarah2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is a dream! You just can’t beat the lake view as well as the proximity to all the amenities of a cute, coastal Maine town (Damariscotta). We had the best fall getaway and would love to return.

    Karen2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I just spent several days at this cottage and we had a great time. It is a very special place and we would definitely come back again. The porch is fantastic and we enjoyed sitting there early in the morning, watching the day unfold as well as viewing the sun set across the lake at night. We saw eagles fly over which was a real treat. This is a great midcoast Maine location and there are so many cute and quaint towns to visit that are within a driving distance of an hour or less.

    Sue2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Loved staying at Eric’s place. Such a wonderful charming cabin with quaint reminders of years gone by. Especially loved the use of water craft and unbeatable location on the pond right on the water. The vintage range was so much fun. Excellent and fast communication. Highly recommend Eric’s place!

    Pat2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful setting, I would go again in a heartbeat. Saw a bald eagle catch a fish!

  • This house is a gem. Open layout, fabulous screened in porch, cool breeze, peace and quiet. Bring your binoculars (or use the ones provided) the birding is fabulous. I saw Eagles, Osprey, Loons, Hummers and Herons and I heard Kingfishers, Owls and Pewees just to name a few.

The Byre at Piper's Pond is our modest farm that sits on 80 acres in Bristol, Maine on the Pemaquid Peninsula. The apartment is separated from the main house and has privacy and room for guests to enjoy the area. It is a comfortable rustic contemporary home and setting. We are located a 10 minute drive to Damariscotta. Pemaquid Peninsula is home to the historic Pemaquid Lighthouse, the University of Maine Darling Marine Center and hiking trails.
The apartment is two stories with a kitchen and one and a half baths. There is one Full size bed and a Queen pull out sofa. There is parking, use of the grounds, grill, lobster pot, and other conveniences. Bristol is a nice day trip to Camden, Rockland and Boothbay among other Maine mid-coast towns. Enjoy a ferry ride to Monhegan Island or a Puffin Boat Tour from New Harbor. We are building a small, diversified working farm and we have hens and a rooster onsite. The apartment is located next to the barn. We also have two young Border Collies and a mature German Short Haired Pointer. They are all friendly, however, we like to let guest know ahead of time.
We love the Round Pond Coffee Shop and the Granite Hall Store in Round Pond (2 miles away). If you have children, the Granite Hall Store has a penny candy counter. You can purchase basic food and supplies at the King Ro store. There is a large full service grocery store in nearby Damariscotta and a local full service grocer on the peninsula in New Harbor.
  • This is a perfect spot for anyone attending a wedding nearby at the 1812 Farm. We spent the weekend and enjoyed every moment in this beautiful space. It was clean, welcoming, and spacious! Everything about this stay was enjoyable.

    Maria2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay at The Byre. Helen and Jeff were great. This is a working farm - be ready for that. We loved all of the animal excitement and the ear-plugs allowed us to have peaceful sleep. It is a creative and unique experience in a beautiful spot. We had a MAJOR storm come thru when staying there. Lost power, downed limbs, etc. - a big event. Helen and Jeff were amazing: they helped warn us what to expect, how to deal with no power - made flashlights and other necessities available. Truly wonderful and caring hosts. thanks for that!

    Paul2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Helen’s place surpasses the charm of its name, “The Byre at Piper’s Pond”. It is spacious and private with a sitting\TV room on ground level and a bedroom, kitchenette, dining area and more seating up. 1 and 1/2 baths. Gorgeous knotty pine interior with tastefully contemporary furnishings. With Trees and a pond outdoors in a secluded setting. Restaurants relatively nearby. Two friendly geese roam. Helen was a marvelous hostess and was quite helpful. We loved her place and hope to return.

    Carol2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic stay at the Byre while my vehicle underwent a few repairs. Lovely atmosphere on the farm with a hysterical welcome committee - three dogs, two geese, and a barn filled with chickens. This is the place to go if you’re interested in rural Maine and need a bit of a recharge. I’ll definitely be coming back. Thanks Helen and Jeff!

    Maxwell2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Nice, clean separate apartment across from main house. Upstairs is kitchen and bedroom and bath; a powder room with the living room downstairs A farm in progress with geese, chickens (a crowing rooster), etc. Good recommendation for dinner. Nice area.

    Betty2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful property in the middle of a picturesque part of Maine close to many quaint little towns. We bought eggs and veggies from the farm and kayaked in the morning on the pond. The space is so nice and spacious and the tv was a great plus. Would highly recommend staying here :)

    Emily2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Delightful space with thoughtful touches. Beautiful natural surroundings and so little light pollution you can see all the stars on a cloudless night. This is an actual working farm space so wear some earplugs (thoughtfully provided by host) to sleep through the rooster crowing. Enjoy the goose welcoming committee, they are a laugh.

    Marianne2019-09-01T00:00:00Z

Our cabin has one double bedroom for "the grown-ups", while the sleeping loft gives older children the fun of a real old fashioned log-cabin. It holds 4 floor mattresses and a bureau, and is reachable by ladder. The Cabin also has cots for any extra friends, and you can tuck small children into the crib we provide. We offer soap, toilet paper, paper towels and cleaning supplies, as well as basic pantry supplies. We ask you to bring your own bed-sheets and towels. Our serene cottage sits on 16 private acres on the north end of Greenland Cove in Muscongus Bay. A short walk will get you to the ocean to swim off the rocks, stroll on our fern covered paths and take in the breathtaking views of the cove and nearby estuary and salt pond. There is a large amount of bird and sea life, including bald eagles, blue heron, osprey, seals and plenty of fish. 15 minutes to town. More pics on Instagram @greenlandcovecottage Corona Virus measures are in the manual.
The cabin is a warm, quiet Scandinavian- inspired interior, full of light. A 10 ft picture window looks out onto a field that blooms with Lupines in June. The queen-size Casper mattress in bedroom is very comfortable, and a daybed that converts to a king size or 2 twins in the main room. There’s a cool sleeping loft above with a queen-size bed as well, good for naps. A heat pump keeps it warm in winter and dry and cool in summer.
Bremen is a special town in Maine due to the abundance of both fresh and salt waterfront. It's heavily enforced and respected conservation makes visiting our town feel like you've stepped back in time. Our shores are rustic, quiet, and insanely beautiful and the harbors are working harbors. There are many places to launch kayaks /paddleboards, (I can direct you to rental) to explore islands and lakes. The Hog Island Audubon Society is just across the cove, making this a great birding base with beautiful coastal trails. There many trails for walking and swimming holes all over Lincoln county to explore, we have a book in the cabin of the trails. You can enjoy sitting on the coast eating the freshest lobster, clams, scallops, muscles, fish and oysters plucked right from the sea. Enjoy nearby Round Pond and Damariscotta, 2 of the most charming villages in mid-coast. Both have wonderful restaurants , grocery stores, farm stands and 2 great breweries. There are endless places to explore and ways to enjoy this area or just relax and read a book. To me it's a paradise. Send me a message telling me what you're interested in and I'll point you in the right direction, there are a lot of hidden gems.
  • Crissy’s cabin was amazing, beautiful secluded and cozy! Perfect for a getaway. The fire pit was the best touch for me. Crissy was very informative, sweet and kind! Definitely will be visiting again with the kids!

  • This is one of the few Airbnb’s that I’ve stayed at where the pictures truly match the property, no disappointment when opening the door. The cabin really is well done, comfy, clean, stylish. You have some area to explore right on the property, but also close by to so many great little coastal spots and trails etc. Communication was easy and quick responses to any questions I asked.

    Abby2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Crissy's cabin is amazing. It is the perfect little getaway. She had it prepped for us arriving my a blanket for my dog. It has all of the little touches that you would like for your home away from home which makes the stay unforgettable. The town next door ha everything you need for the stay and you are only a 1.5 -2 hour drive from Acadia. Will 100% return.

    Adam2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Crissy’s cabin was a perfect getaway on a beautiful piece of property. The local information and suggested day trips were much appreciated. We will definitely be back!

    Erik2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Crissy’s cabin was completely picturesque. The location was simply stunning, situated perfecty near the woods and the water and the house itself was also exactly as pictured. Her communication was great and was always one step ahead of my questions. If you’re looking to explore Maine, this is the place to do it as you get the wilderness while not being too far from great restaurants in nearby Camden/Rockland etc. It was also a plus to be able to bring my pup!

    Meredith2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • We loved it, very relaxing and cosy.

These are prime lobstering waters and a cruising mecca for small boat sailors. Need a short term mooring? We may be able to help. Paddlers can launch from our beach next to the apartment. You can rent kayaks and bicycles from Maine Kayak in Bristol. They have multiple starting points in mid-coast region for paddling & cycling trips, including from our beach. • What a beautiful location!! You could not be closer to the water. Since its a working boat launch and fishermans warf I expected it to be a bit noisey, but it wasn't at all. Very quiet and peaceful. And what an extravagant welcome!! Flowers and yummies in the fridge, great amenities and exceptional linens. All the comforts of home. We have family in the area so we'll definitely be back!!!

  • Jack was a wonderful host, and his place was spectacular. The house was beautiful and the location was amazing. If you’re going to be in northern Maine this is the place to be!

    David2019-09-02T00:00:00Z

    Karen2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was clean and spacious, ample room for four adults. Jack provided info promptly with check in info. The dock staff was very helpful and friendly, available to provide assistance with laundry facilities and local activities. We especially liked being on the water and going down to the dock to buy lobster, steamers and scallops which we cooked in the apartment. We would definitely return!

Our neighborhood, if you want to call it that, is a 3 mile long dead-end road that runs right down the middle of our own little peninsula. It juts off the much larger and popular Pemiquid Peninsula here in mid-coast Maine. The residents are a mix of year-rounders and summer people. We have doctors, lawyers and a retired police chief, airline pilots and professors, merchant marine and lobster boat captains, artists and teachers, business men and women, clam diggers and crafters, fishermen and farmers. We are blessed with saltwater swimming, kayaking and boating as well as one of the best little freshwater swimming holes you will ever experience. Well hidden and practically unknown, its granite cliffs are great for jumping off or use giant blocks for stepping in. Two land trust preserves on our road add to the surrounding natural beauty. Several neighbors offer occasional Yoga classes. An old schoolhouse/community center and 1800's seasonal church sometimes offer public suppers and concerts.
  • Penny and her dog Max were wonderful.....they were a joy to share this unique barn space with. They greeted us at the door and were always present to answer questions and make suggestions on places to visit. Thank you.

  • Penny has a wonderful place! She has designed the house beautifully, it is filled with rustic charm and thoughtful touches. She is extremely sweet and accommodating - and a lovely host - she went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time in her place, and we did! Her dog is also extremely endearing. We only wish we could've stayed longer! Highly recommend her place. Thank you Penny for a lovely stay!

  • Penny and Mack were warm and welcoming! It was a charmingly rustic slice of heaven!

  • We had a fantastic time at Penny's place. One of a kind, most interesting and gracious host. Note that breakfast is included for parties of up to 4 people. Penny has great local tips. You will not regret choosing this place full of character and life, and unexpected little touches that will make your stay memorable. Thank you Penny and everyone who helps make this place so special :)

  • We travel a lot, we use AirBnB for 99% of those travels. My wife usually makes these arrangements and she is most excellent at finding accommodations. After a month of constant going and doing and being, we just needed to get away. You know how it can be....sometimes the vacation you need is to find a place to do nothing. To surprise her, I made the reservations and stole her away for the weekend at Penny's where we unplugged, read books, ate good food, and meandered if we felt so moved. The accommodations were breath-taking, clean, quiet and welcoming. Our only moment of disharmony came while reading a jarring review made by a former guest. The buyer who should beware is Penny...there will always be people out there who think much more of themselves than they should. If having no lock on a door at a B&B where you are the only guest is a concern, stay in a Motel 6. Obviously this place is not for everyone: if you are offended that an entirely barn board clad accommodations have unfinished ceilings, choose another room or find a different location. If you have a small child that is just being to crawl...the space we stayed in may not be your first choice. Unlocked doors are a two way street...Penny herself takes a chance that everyone is going to be decent and respectful. And she IS. Penny is generous and hard working and full of more knowledge than most people you will know. She is also gracious and interested, walking the line between being there for you and giving you space. Honestly, Penny is the friend we would all be lucky to have on our side! I truly can't say enough good about our time, our accommodations, our host....top notch....each of them!

    Enigmah2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, peaceful location with great outdoor spaces. The barn is very rustic and full of antiques. Penny and her sweet dog Mack live on the main floor of the barn. She has great tips about the local area. There are two bedrooms and a full bath on the second floor and a loft with multiple beds above the second floor. It is a long ladder to access the additional beds in the loft so keep that in mind if you are scared of heights or tight spaces!

This amazing, light-filled cottage packs a lot of comfort and sophistication. The simple contemporary design becomes quite dramatic with soaring ceilings in warm wood and is softened by comfortable upholstered furnishings. The pond is closed to motorized watercraft, making it a perfect place for paddling in the available kayaks, canoes or rowboat. This lakefront property also features a deck overlooking the lake! It's the perfect place to enjoy your meals or snacks since it provides a comfortable picnic table and even a gas grill. What's nearby: Located just a few miles from Coastal Route 1, Damariscotta or Boothbay, guests will enjoy easy access to day trips in the area or can choose instead to unwind in this serene setting. Fort Edgecomb State Historic Site is the premier tourist spot in town. Built in 1808, the fort was a stronghold for the port of Wiscasset and saw a lot of action during the bloody War of 1812. High Head Point is a favorite spot nearby for picnickers in the summer and leaf peepers in the fall. Things to know: Full kitchen (with a dishwasher) Dog-friendly!

This log cottage sits on the water's edge and features full kitchen, 2BR, 1 BA, screen porch. The lake is quiet, ideal for swimming, kayaking and canoeing and yet convenient to shopping and coastal activities.
The screen porch offers fabulous sunset views across the lake.
  • Liked the quiet, the loons, the calmness of the pond in the early morning. Nice short hiking trails near by. A good stay overall! Looking forward to a return trip some time! Thank you!

    Elizabeth2018-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Everything we needed from a lakeside cabin - peace and tranquility, simple comforts. Matthew’s place was even nicer than we were expecting and he and his parents were very welcoming hosts. We particularly enjoyed exploring the lake in the kayaks and sitting in the porch to eat dinner and listen to the loons in the evenings. This place is magical. We want to come back!

    Laura2018-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • The camp is very clean and has all that is necessary for a wonderful visit. The beds are very comfortable, there’s lots of space to relax indoors or out! We loved the screened in porch! I spent many hours on the dock watching a bald eagle, osprey and a family of loons looking for fish. There seems to be lots of fish, I saw them jumping. I can’t wait to go back!

    Melissa2018-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • My husband, son and I had a wonderful time at Matthew’s place. We arrived to the most amazing sunset overlooking the pond. My husband loved taking the little rowboat out and doing some fishing, and I loved reading while listening to the Loons and watching the hummingbirds. His cottage is simple, but is very homey and has everything you need. Nice and close to lots of restaurants and markets. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway on a beautiful pond then this place is for you. We’ll definitely be back!

  • We had a great time at our cottage on McCurdy's Pond. The cottage was incredibly clean and had a lot of charm. We loved the screened in porch right on the lake. McCurdy's although smaller than some of the other lakes is peaceful and lovely. The location on Turner Road is perfect to all the great things on the Pemaquid Penninsula, Damariscotta, Round Pond, the Lighthouse and two amazing lobster pounds. We can't wait to return next summer.

    Bobbie2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at the cabin. The view is beautiful and pictures can't do it justice. We loved kayaking everyday and enjoyed watching the hummingbirds right outside the windows and the loons on the lake. The surrounding area is very quaint and not touristy (exactly what we were looking for, but a short drive away to tourists spots if that's what you are looking for). We were very impressed with how clean the cabin was. Matt is a great host and would book here again on our next trip to Maine.

Our cottage has a million dollar view, right on the point of Muscongus Bay and Round Pond. It is a clean, seasonal (May-Sept) home with 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and a huge deck. There's a back patio for grilling and late-sun opportunities, as well as a quarry pond and plenty of parking.
The main part of the cottage has an open-concept sitting room, dining room, and kitchen. It is fully furnished, including a dishwasher, with good WiFi. The second bedroom has a separate entrance with its own full bathroom and private balcony; it's also where the washer and dryer are located.
Round Pond is a quaint fishing-sailing village steeped in history and open to guests.
  • This truly is a million dollar view. We had a wonderful stay, despite a stormy couple of nights. The place was clean, peaceful, and comfortable. The sun on the deck was so warm on a beautiful fall weekend. Geoff and Jamie were very helpful and gave us great advice and were always responsive.

    Jenna2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is a perfect Maine vacation spot! Casual, comfortable, great setup for couples, pretty much everything you need to cook meals. The view is spectacular, and the gardens are lovely. It’s well located to explore other towns. The owners were very easy to communicate with.

    Quincy2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • They aren't overselling the views; they really are spectacular. We had a fantastic time at Geoff & Jamie's place, and feel grateful that they shared it with us. The cottage is both gorgeous and comfortable. It's a perfect retreat. (And wow, that view.) It's also a great location: we enjoyed the short walk into the little town for a lobster roll, the coffee shop, and dinner, and it was an easy (and beautiful) drive from other sites and towns in the area. We hope to come back again, if they'll have us!

Bedrooms & Bed Sizes: Bedroom 1: Double - main level Bedroom 2: Loft with two doubles - second level Bathrooms: Bathroom: Full bath with tub/shower - main level
  • Plenty of room even for a family, all of the essentials you need in the kitchen including a lobster pot, 3 fans, one for each bed was appreciated! Beautiful views, quiet nights, deck to sprawl out on. As a family of 5, we didn't feel cramped at this cottage so that was great. There was a lot of goose poop on the lawn due to Canada geese daily so we weren't able to use the green space. We bought lobsters caught that day right down at the docks. We'd definitely stay here again!

  • Ginger and Daniel could not have been more gracious and understanding as hosts. They provided us with anything we requested. We so appreciated all of the little touches in the Hilton house. The record player with just the most solid of selections paired with a great game selection made our stay in the chilly early spring so pleasant. The hike we took on the farm were restorative and life affirming. Great and relaxing retreat!

    Adrienne2020-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Warm sunlight streaming in the windows as we listen to Cat Stevens, Aretha and Paul Simon, old house character, close to Topsl Farm and the galleries of Rockland. We will be back! Thank you Ginger and Danielle.

  • This was a wonderful place to stay for a weekend. Spacious, beautifully decorated, and we loved the historic charm of the homestead. Ginger was super communicative and helpful. Fun details included by the host: a working record player with a nice selection, plenty of board games, and a book detailing the past of the Hilton House and farm. We enjoyed a lovely hike down through the fields & woods to the water. This is the perfect place for anyone trying to get away from city living. Thank you to Ginger & Daniel!

  • My wife, my dog and I were surprised by the cleanliness and confort of this place. Nice and tidy cottage studio that offers all the necessary amenities and wonderful hospitality. It is a simple, but perfect place for a couples getaway. The surrounding area is very quiet and relaxing, very short drive to the water (you can also walk), a nice little market a few houses down the road. There is also a light house about 10-15 mins away which is a must visit! Overall it was an amazing experience, I recommend it highly and would go back in a heartbeat.

    Camilo2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • This studio is very charming and super-well located in the village, steps away from a church that has music nights on Wednesdays, a store for some basic food and beer and, what's even more important, a five-minute walk away from two places that sell you lobster (or other seafood) and will cook it for you if you want and allow you to eat it on picnic tables right along the wharf. And you can bring along your beer. Also nearby (by car), a short hike (La Verna) which leads to a beautiful oceanfront, a local museum, and the town of Bristol which is worth a stop. The studio: There's enough space on the porch for coffee in the morning and a spot of wine at night with candles. The kitchen area is small, but that doesn't matter since everything works fine and is clean and easy to find. The beds are comfortable enough. Everything is clean and functional. We very much enjoyed our stay in Maine and the studio had a lot to do with that.

    Richard2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little spot, very convenient to all Round Pond has to offer: great coffee place next door, cool little shops (3 of them!) nice restaurant and TWO lobster in the rough places. Plus great harbor views with in a small stroll.

  • This airy, spacious apartment was just a quick walk from the harbor and a cute coffee shop! Check-in was easy and the apartment was well-equipped with extra linens, etc. and kitchen supplies.

  • This is a cute and personal space. Ideal for walking to eat fresh lobster and enjoy coastal scenery. Our host was awesome and so was the space.

    Judson2019-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Bright, clean, and cozy little studio! It was perfect for the two of us and our dog. The hostess in the connecting home was extremely hospitable and friendly! The kitchen and bathroom were stocked with essentials and plenty of clean towels and sheets were provided. WiFi worked great with a laptop (not as good on our smartphones). I would highly recommend this studio for any couple or small group looking for a quiet getaway! The location is walking distance from the harbor and some great seafood. About a 10 minute drive to LaVerna and Pemaquid Point Light house - both were beautiful and not busy at all. We hope to return soon!

Located in a historic 200 year old building "Ship Shape" is close to downtown but on a quiet residential street. Just one block to the library, bookstore, post office and all the lovely shops. It is on the shore of the Damariscotta River with wonderful views from inside and out.. You’ll love my place because of the neighborhood, the light, the outdoors space, and the new comfy bed. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers.
"Ship Shape" is located in what was formerly the office of the church. It was totally renovated and a kitchen and bathroom with a shower was added. The only wall that is shared with the restaurant- Savory Maine -is the back of the shower. Because the apartment faces south- away from downtown- it is very quiet even though it is just a block from Main Street. The apartment is cozy and is furnished with antiques. Cozy is another word for small. If you need a lot of space to spread out this is not the place for you. Boaters are welcome if they want to spend some time on land. We are a very short walk to the town landing. The bus stop is one block away. A car is not needed to visit this wonderful town. Beach chairs and towels and provided. Off street parking is provided.
Damariscotta is a very special coastal Maine town. It has a very vibrant year round community. Most of the stores and restaurants are open year round. It is a naturally beautiful area with many opportunities for outdoor recreation. Within a 2 0 minute drive you can get to Pemaquid Beach, Pemaquid lighthouse, Fort William Henry, Dodge Point, Damariscotta Lake Beach and many other beautiful areas that are open to the public. There are many artists in the area along with many galleries. There are musical groups and both amateur and professional theater companies. There are 2 weekly farmers' markets and many good restaurants- my favorite- Savory Maine.
  • Great location, close to restaurants and bars, very quiet and cozy! I liked the eco-friendly touches as well. I'll definitely be back. Thanks!

Enjoy your morning coffee and views on the sunny screened-in porch, and watch the sunset from your balcony. The cottage has a private backyard and charming gardens, perfect for reading a book, writing, or napping. The front balcony looks beyond white birches and lilies to a spectacular ocean view beyond. This cottage is close to many local sites, such as the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse & Pemaquid beach; a fully-stocked local grocer, and several lobster co-ops for your clam bakes and picnics.

This is a quaint farm house in a rural setting but not far from many attractions in the mid coast area. It's comfortable, warm, cozy and quiet. There's a lot of wildlife here. I'm very close to Wiscasset, Damariscotta Lake State Park and Damariscotta village. There are some great restaurants and pubs a short drive away. Pemaquid Point and lighthouse on the ocean is a beautiful drive from here as is Rockland, Camden & Augusta. It's a good mid coast location.
My house is in a quiet country setting. It is, however, located mid-coast with access to shopping, restaurants and water access near by. There is a public boat launch that some of my guests have used to go kayaking and canoeing on the Lake Damariscotta. A beautiful clean lake and river close by. Another boat launch is into the Damariscotta River in the village of Damarisscotta. There are farms nearby and views of the lake. This is a very scenic area of Maine. I have also had some people biking through the area in the summer and spring. There are many hiking trails nearby and a short drive away there are hikes along the water.
  • Margaret is always pleasant and accommodating of special requests. She always has a smile and loves to show off her garden. We love to stay with her (even though we didn't this time, because of the panicdemic), and always stay there when we're in the area, which we weren't. Why did we pay for a stay and not use it? Because we want to support her, and make sure that she's still a host in the future.

  • Margaret is the perfect hostess. Her quiet house in a beautiful setting in the Maine woods is cozy, sparkling clean, full of light and thoughtfully appointed. I will go there again in a heartbeat.

  • Margaret is such a wonderful host. She communicates clearly where her home is located. Her house is warm, comfortable and just always feels like home. When the need arises we will always stay with Margaret!

  • You will be very welcomed at Margaret's home. She is very kind and helpful. You will have a good and quiet sleep at her house.

    Sheila2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jefferson is a charming town and the drive to Margaret's place includes breathtaking views of Damariscotta Lake. You drive up, along Rte. 213, to the top of Bunker Hill and the town's historic buildings, then down about a mile or so to Margaret's place, an early-1800s Cape. Margaret is charming and gracious, a perfect host who provides a wonderful breakfast...starting with the smell of bacon cooked on a wood stove. Genevieve F.

  • I am a really lucky man. This was my first time to stay on Airbnb. I have gotten from her, such as her warm welcome, having an attentive heart, clean rooms, smart use of color that I love for her whole house, an unforgettable taste of English tea and breakfast, AND her natural personality... I'll definitely be back there. Thanks again, Margaret.

Bea’s Place is your home away from home for your family vacations in Midcoast Maine. This spacious and comfortable 2 bed, 2 bath home in Bristol sleeps 8. It stars a fully stocked, beautiful, contemporary cook’s kitchen with a large 5 burner gas stove and convection oven. French doors lead out to a deck with a propane grill. The upstairs bath features a clawfoot tub. Downstairs in the finished basement is the rec room, with futon, polished concrete floors, full bath and washer/dryer.
Throughout this home, you’ll appreciate the rich wide pine flooring and tile work, relaxing nautical-themed color palette, and ample picture windows. Enjoy the large farmhouse sink, dishwasher, and wine fridge in the kitchen. The finished basement recreation room is perfect for a hangout area, with a television, DVD player, board games, pool table, ping pong table, dartboard, and more. Local craftsmen and artisanal items can be found throughout this home, including local hand-milled soaps and furniture. We also provide a pack-n-play, and a travel bassinet if needed. The home is easy to find from the main road, but is still quiet and calm enough for the most relaxing vacation. Smell the blooming lilacs and rhododendrons in the spring, or watch the foliage change in the fall. Outside, enjoy the propane grill, patio furniture, and beautiful south-facing deck. A large back yard is perfect for young ones to play in. There is an outside security system enabled for your safety with perimeter cameras that usually only capture some local wildlife such as foxes, and sometimes a visiting honey bee. We take great pride in our home, and hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Bea’s Place is nestled almost squarely between downtown Damariscotta and Pemaquid Point, just a 10-15 minute drive in either direction. Local events include the Oyster Festival, Pumpkin Festival, Bristol Days and so much more. Just down the street is the 1812 Farm, a popular venue for weddings and other large events. Because of the close proximity, Bea’s Place is perfect for large families attending an event there, or for bridal parties who need space to get ready for the big day. Further down the road, High Hopes Farm is a working farm that sells fresh produce, flowers, and meat. Be sure to grab some on your way to the house! For a filling and tasty breakfast, check out the Bristol Diner down the street. Or if you want to drive a bit further there are many other options depending on the time of year. If you enjoy swimming there is the swimming hole at the Bristol Dam, or you can enjoy the sand and waves at Pemaquid Beach. There will be a binder full of local information at the house for you to look through.
  • Thanks you Theresa, awesome house and outstanding hospitality. Convenient location!

  • Great place for small families or 2 couples. Beautiful kitchen, 2 bathrooms, laundry, thoughtful touches & great hospitality. Great communication, close to several harbors & the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse just 8 miles south...enjoyed our stay there!

  • Bea’s Place is a cozy yet modern home. We enjoyed exploring Pemaquid Point, Damariscotta, daytrips to Boothbay Harbor and Bailey’s Island. The owners were quite accommodating and quick to respond to any questions or issues. We were a party of 6 and had sufficient room. We enjoyed being able to have breakfast and dinner at the home, as the kitchen is well equipped. Should we visit the area again we will definitely consider Bea’s Place.

    Beth2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place is THE perfect place to stay if you're on a trip to Maine. It's centrally located, an hour away from Portland, 2.5 hours away from Acadia and 3 hours from more inland stuff like Baxter State Park. Fifteen minutes away is a gorgeous and pretty private lighthouse. The house itself is organized to the T, the instructions are super clear and the kitchen is a dream come true. Perfect place, homey, cozy, highly recommend.

    Zohaib2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Theresa’s. It was close to Pemaquid, New Harbor ferry to Monhegan Island, and Damariscotta. Wonderful kitchen!

  • I had a great weekend with my friend in Theresa's house. The setting is very quiet and relaxing in the countryside. The residence is well thought out and everything is there to feel good. The kitchen is a great place to cook and hang out !! I would love to have the same, undoubtedly! My only downside is the side of the mattress, for my part, I prefer less firm;) I enjoyed a pleasant stay in Bristol and its surroundings, I definitely recommend!

The Apartment is part of an architect designed New England Style House, built in 2007. Separated by an atrium room from the main house, the 2 bedrooms, eat in kitchen and bathroom with shower as well as a deep tub offer you complete privacy. This house is in a very rural location with the closest town (Damariscotta) 10 miles. Like most rural homes in Maine, the house has well water. The property is not safe for guests with children under the age of 10 (un-fenced, rocky water view front).
The Apartment is part of an architect designed New England Style House, built in 2007. Separated by an atrium room from the main house, the 2 bedrooms, eat in kitchen and bathroom with shower as well as a deep tub offer you complete privacy. Access is through a common front door and then separate entrance from the atrium room. The water source for the house is well water. Approximately 90% of the rural population in Maine obtain their water from wells. Maine ground water has a high iron content which results in a slight tint. The house is located on an 8 acre lot with 300ft waterfront on Keene Narrows. From the shoreline you can see Medomak Lobster Company, Bremen Long Island and Oar Island.
Whether you plan to visit for a weekend or longer, Bremen is the perfect base to explore Midcoast Maine. This is a very rural area though and the closest town is 11 miles. So if you want a more urban location, my place is not a good fit for you. Also, this area is a seafood area. If you are looking for vegan restaurants please do not book my place as there are hardly any vegan restaurants in my area. Located on the Pemaquid Peninsula, Bremen can be reached within 1.5 hours from Portland, Maine or within 3 hours from Boston, Massachusetts.
  • Annette’s place is a great find if you need a place to stay while you explore the Maine countryside. She was great about instructions on finding the house and getting us settled in. Her place was convenient to Damariscotta and the many other wonderful towns in that region of Maine. We will look to stay again if we vacation in the area.

    Eric2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Annette has a lovely, contemporary, very clean and well-stocked apartment on a tidal bay. Her space worked well for 2 people and could accomodate a third person. There is a lovely east-facing terrace where we enjoyed breakfast one morning. We had a great 2-day getaway prior to a nearby kayaking trip, so it was convenient for us to have a really comfortable place to stay and still enjoy Maine's outdoor life and activities. We made easy day trips to Camden and Pemaquid Point from her place. Annette was gracious and friendly, she was there when we arrived and when we left.

    Jane2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Annette has a great apartment with superb privacy and tranquility at her home in beautiful Bremen, Maine. We really appreciated that Annette offers a garage space where I could even plug in my electric car for charging overnight using my level 1 (110V) charging cable. This allowed us to take our day trips and then top up our charge at night for the next day. Annette helped us with the Brehem Coop that sell lobsters at a wholesale prices which we cooked at the apartment to enjoy with wine and the water view. We had a perfect 6-day stay, wish it had been longer!

    Richard2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is immaculately clean and includes everything you could want from the bathroom to the kitchen. The four nights we stayed were so relaxing - make sure to check out the walk-in shower and large tub. Annette provided us with many helpful resources regarding the local restaurants, wildlife, and maps to make sure we didn’t get lost. We will definitely be booking again at this place!

    Caroline2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • If you are deliberating about where to stay in this area, stop looking and book Annette’s place. Rooms were spacious, super clean, and comfortable, the location private and serene, and the host friendly and accommodating. After a cancelled flight, we were to arrive much later than anticipated. Annette was very understanding, communicated quickly, and left clear check-in instructions. This place is a 10/10. Go ahead and book it (and eat breakfast at Chrissy’s).

    Amber2019-08-03T00:00:00Z

The Crow's Nest at Long View Farm is perhaps our most delightful accommodation. This light-filled 800 sq. ft. space is perfect for anyone wanting to get away from it all. Filled with a charming collection of 19th century eel spears, hooked rugs and stoneware, the ambiance will take you back to another era. The kitchen in small, but utilitarian and the bathroom has an old clawfoot tub and a shower. The view from the balcony, across 8 acres of field to the bay, is spectacular.
The Crow's Nest has its own entrance and parking. It is on the second floor of the barn, which is 100 feet from our main residence. It is quite private and is oriented to the a sweeping field that runs out to the bay.
Dutch Neck is a small peninsula on Broad Bay, one of the last pristine bodies of water on the coast.
  • A charming place to stay ideally located in Maine's best area and close to its most picturesque towns! We very much enjoyed our stay!

  • Just the perfect space to unwind and unplug. The barn is beautifully decorated and furnished, as well as comfortable. We enjoyed watching the sunrise and the peaceful walk down to the water. Even on the chilly nights there were loads of cozy blankets to keep warm. Will return soon!

    Eloise2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • A unique, special property. We enjoyed every minute of our stay which was fortunately 2 nights, so we were able to relax and enjoy the space. Lots of great food in the area and be sure to hike to Peter’s Pond for a swim if it’s warm enough.

    Cynthia2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • The crows's nest is absolutely delightful, perched high up over looking the green fields below, stretching all the way to the water. Looking at the first rays of sun streaming through the balcony french windows will transport to a different realm. The beds were comfortable and cozy. The pebble beach at the end of the property was lovely and private, perfect for a relaxing swim or a quiet moment of reflection. Kristin and Eric are great hosts and were very accommodating and helped us guiding to some of the local hot spots. We will definitely go back.

    Sandeep Kumar2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place was so cool! We really enjoyed our barn experience. Would have loved to stay longer and explore the area more. Beautiful view from the balcony and comfy beds too! You can see all the stars in the sky at night which was beautiful and you'll wake up to the sounds of birds chirping and singing to you. Host was very kind and welcoming, especially since we got in late and left early. Would definitely recommend to those looking for a different kind of overnight stay experience!

  • This was my first time staying in a shared Airbnb. I didn’t really know what to expect but I had a fabulous time and hope to someday come back again! I slept like a rock and even got up a little earlier so I could walk around the trails! You have a beautiful place! Thank you for sharing it 😄

  • Jamerling takes the effort to seperate recyclables and trash which I appreciate. You have your own spot in his fridge and a cabinet for tea and coffee. Its a great outdoor establishment in the woods. 10 minute drive to the Botanical Gardens. 15 minute drive to Ocean Point. He's kind and helpful.

  • Jamerling has got a lovely place in the woods, very quiet situated and really nice. When you arrive you will see it. The terrace invites to sit during the day and enjoy the nature around. Also it is nearby Boothbay Harbour, only 5min by car. Jamerling himself is a great guy with a heartful approach. This was definitely one of the most beloved stays on my trip... I can definitely recommend the place.

  • There's really very little to say. Just look at those photos! Then book, before someone else does for the same dates! I was here for 4 nights at the end of October. Sitting on that deck early morning as the mist eerily rises off the lake, in the afternoon when the sun is blazing and bronzes your face, and in the evening when the sun sets behind the trees until you're immersed in total darkness - the view is mesmerising, the experience breath-taking. You can listen to nature, read, kayak around the lake, be at peace with yourself and your immediate surroundings. This is the original 'mindfulness'. Kim was a great host, easy and fast to communicate with. She welcomed me on arrival, showed me around the place and got me all set up. Boothbay harbor is quaint, closing up for the season in October but I found it easy to grab food around the area and cook in the cottage. As a person who lives for a steaming hot shower every morning, staying in a cottage that had no running water actually turned out to be no big deal at all. I'm coming back again next year so. What are you waiting for?

  • Couldn’t pick a better place to stay! This cabin was everything we needed to have a great Mid Coast Maine experience. Cabin is clean, easy to access and affords unbelievable views of the lake. We used the kayaks, saw bald eagles and lions!!! Unbelievable. Kim was a very helpful host who went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. Go here now!

    Joseph2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • The place is amazing. Boothbay is a beautiful place and Kim had wonderful tips about things to do. The property is stunning, we had a great time sitting on the dock drinking coffee while the dogs swam. Would highly recommend.

    Tommy2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Kim's place is even better than it looks in the photos. It's cozy and comfortable with everything you need for your stay. The lake is beautiful and serene, and the boats are easy to take out for quiet float around. The town is close enough that you can easily find food and entertainment, but far enough for you to feel like you have your own piece of the woods.

    Aaron2019-10-01T00:00:00Z

Wake up to panoramic views of the Medomak River at this three-bedroom Waldoboro home, a private waterfront retreat with a gorgeous remodeled interior, a wrap-around deck, and direct access to the river, Muscongus Bay, and the open Atlantic Ocean to the south. Witness spectacular sunrises in the morning and gorgeous moon views at night. Scenically secluded in an 11-acre meadow with wildflowers and fireflies, this two-level home sits on the western banks of the wide Medomak River five miles south of downtown Waldoboro. You'll be just a few paddles in your kayak (rented locally) from where Muscongus Bay meets the ocean, and 21 miles west of the restaurants and beautiful breakwater in downtown Rockland. From this special location, you might even spot bald eagles, ospreys, seals, bobolinks, and a variety of seabirds. Follow the lengthy driveway to discover a remote piece of property with generous parking and an unrivaled waterfront position. Inside, you'll find an open living space that has been extensively remodeled with hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, lovely wood accents, and a wall of windows that overlook the water. Come home from a day of kayaking to rest your tired limbs on the plush sofa, use the WiFi to post photos of your adventures, or play a game of cards around the modern glass coffee table. As your clothes spin in the washer/dryer, you can join your family for an evening in front of the large flatscreen cable TV. When you're not enjoying breakfast at Moody's Diner just up the road, you'll have a well-equipped, fully renovated kitchen with all stainless steel appliances and plentiful counter space. Whip up some homemade blueberry pancakes, sit down to eat at the breakfast bar or six-person dining table, and use the dishwasher for easy clean-up. And when the weather's nice, cook up something tasty on the gas grill outside. Spend your days canoeing and kayaking in the river, basking in the sunshine on the wrap-around deck, and enjoying the breathtaking bay and river views from the patio table. You'll have more than 400 feet of private tidal waterfront access with classic Maine granite rocks, tide pools, and mud flats. Back inside, you can curl up with a good book in the second sitting room and open the glass doors to let in the coastal breeze. As many as six guests will sleep soundly in this three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom home. The open loft-style master bedroom, which overlooks the river and the great room below, has a king-size bed and a private renovated bathroom. • This was a beautiful private spot, quiet and beautiful. It was a nice central location for exploring the state. The fire place was such a nice feature for morning coffee while enjoying the view! If we visit Maine again we will check for availability here! Thanks for a great accommodation!

  • This water front cabin is located on a large parcel of property and has a lot of privacy. The setting is beautiful and serene. It is ideal if you also like kayaking. The wood floor is not very sound proof and creaks a little, so if you are a light sleeper and other people's moving around, you might want to use ear plugs. Watching the fog on the water in the morning is a tranquil experience, so is reading a book inside when it rains. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here.

***Private, self contained, contact free and sanitized between quests.*** True: Prince of Thailand's staff quarters. Rustic 2-story cottage on 34 acres of private woodlands and 700 ft of water front. Great for artists, fishermen, those seeking quiet beauty - bring kayaks and hiking boots! Luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets, comfy new quality mattress, and a full kitchen. We aim for a little decodance in a rustic setting. Quiet furry friends welcome. $10 per pet cleaning fee due on arrival.
This is an old cottage in a very wooded area. You may experience a forest critter, bugs, mouse, porcupine etc. Bring bug spray and use caution at night, especially with pets. Children welcome but MUST be able to negotiate the ladder to the bedroom. The mattresses and pillows are encased in a bedbug free system. We clean, vacuum well and mop after each guest but you may find a spider or cricket on occasion depending on the season. We do have a neighbor down the hill, so please be respectful of their peace and quiet. Please drive slowly (5mph) on the shared drive.
We have a famous view and iconic Wiscasset home with a pretty cool history. Owned by Victoria Crandall and later a Thai prince- hence the wonderful gardens. You are welcome to sit in the yard and enjoy everything. The village is a quick drive and is known as the prettiest village in Maine. There is no shortage of things to do in this area.

  • A very homey little cabin, a glorious view of the river from the loveseat, coffee supplies and equipment all waiting to go, including cream in a pretty picture in the fridge. Check in smooth and quick. The bed was wonderful comfortable, lots of pillows, thick comforter. There is a ladder to the loft bedroom, I am 68 year old lady, was easily able to manage. Would stay here again.

  • Ann’s place and such a cute spot to stay. It is also surrounded by a beautiful landscape. Ann was kind enough to start a fire for us before we arrived on a chilly October evening. We enjoyed our quick stay, and would return again!

Surrounded by water, you'll wake up to the many different sounds of the gulls and the hum of lobster boats. You'll see eagles nesting in the neighboring islands and watch as the smaller birds chase them. The landscape changes with the ever-turning tide and you'll have 360 views to watch mother nature at her best. An island escape is the perfect way to spend a night or two during your Maine vacation.
Be prepared to enjoy quiet time interacting with nature. Although we have solar panels, there is no wifi, nor is there running water. We bring out potable water for your stay and there is a modern composting toilet. The queen bed is comfy and the linens are provided. We can stock up on food or you can provide what you wish to eat. Want a lobster bake? We can provide that as well. You need to bring a good book, art supplies, writing materials....or just your imagination. Spend the time rejuvenating and enjoying the solitude. It's an experience that you'll never forget.
Eugley Island, Friendship is inaccessible by car. You'll park at our home in Waldoboro, and we'll ferry you and your bags/groceries to and from the island in our 18' open boat. If you have kayaks, you can paddle out yourself or ride in the boat. Kayak rentals available locally (we'll let you know where to have them deliver the kayaks). Please take note: You will be brought to the island in an open boat. It is a 15-20 minute boat ride. Please plan your arrival for daylight hours. High winds or lightning make boat travel impossible. If there's a storm that is too severe to travel by boat, I'll refund your money.
