  • Very cool room. Lachie has obviously got a keen interest in interior architechture and design, and we were really pleased with the comfort of the bed and general convenience of everything. Guitar and a solid vinyl selection were nice touches too. Good location a few minutes from the shops and station as well as the beach.

Take away restaurants within 5-7 min walk. Or check out the huge variety of local Uber eat offerings! The suburb has a variety of boutiques and restaurants that can be found on its main thoroughfares, Waverley Road and Koornang Road. The Chadstone Shopping Centre is also a popular destination for local shopping needs. For commuters to the CBD, this suburb is serviced by a variety of transportation options, including the Darling and East Malvern railway stations.     Updated light filled apartment in quiet residential street. Super convenient location to shops, cafe and parks. This unit is free standing, and is privately tucked away at the rear of our home. Public transport including tram, train and bus a short walk away. We are located just one train stop to Caulfiled Monash University, and a short bus ride to bus interchanges at Chadstone Shopping Centre and Oakleigh. Parking is freely available on the street with no time restrictions in place.
    This unit is accessed via a private courtyard. The courtyard is a perfect space for unwinding after a long day out or reading a book. The unit is generously proportioned across two main rooms. There's a European style laundry with washing machine and sink accessed directly from the courtyard. The unit looks directly onto the veggie patch and tree canopy beyond.
    Carnegie is a vibrant suburb at the epicentre of the new Skyrail project. The main street is morphing into a night time venue as many new eateries and cafes emerge. It boasts 3 supermarkets in addition to a fantastic community library. Getting around by bike is easy. Monash Freeway access is just 10 minutes by car. Brighton Beach is 15 minutes by car the opposite way.

    The best thing about my property is it's location. Melbourne's bayside region has a lovely friendly village feel without the traffic congestion. The home has lovely natural lighting and the bayside sunsets are a show stopper in the West facing property. My home is my sacred space and I wish to welcome my guest to feel at home and at the same time respecting your privacy. Happy to have a cup of tea or glass of wine with you to welcome you and chat :)
    I have a friendly Tonkinese cat who loves people so you will need to like cats. You have your own bathroom which is located upstairs and it does have a lock
    I recommend you google Bad Shepherd Brewery, True South, Saltimbocca, Black Squirell Café and Bayside walks/ Bayside City Council

Rachel is lovely , the room is clean and comfortable and I had access to the kitchen a bathroom to myself and access to Netflix if I wanted . Garage space was handy when I needed a parking spot. Rachel was a gracious host who allowed me to have time to myself but also took the time to get to know me and chat about my experiences. For your comfort the unit has heating and air-conditioning. Off street under cover parking is available. The unit has an outside decking with a BBQ, table, chairs and umbrella. Bed linen and towels are provided. The accommodation is within walking distance to transportation to the CBD and the Box Hill and Chadstone Shopping Centres. It is just a 4 minute drive to Deakin University or Holmesglen TAFE. There is a Woolworths supermarket open 24/7 just a 2 minute drive or a 10-12 minute walk away. There are plenty of places to eat in Ashwood and Ashburton. The unit is ideal for your holiday, if you are relocating or could be used as your home away from home whilst you renovate your own house. For parents with children there are two playgrounds available at the end of the court. If you just walk over the bridge you will find a walking and bike track running along side Gardiner's Creek. Should you want to ride on the bike track we have one ladies and one gentleman's bicycle. There is a portacot available for very young children. The unit is also wheelchair friendly. We have for your use 2 Myki cards (public transport) for your convenience during your stay.
    There are Afghani, Italian, Chinese and Thai restaurants as well as a pub, fish and chip shop, McDonalds, KFC and numerous coffee shops nearby.

We are 3 minutes walk to public transport to Grand Prix Albert Park that will get you there in 5-10 minutes and the city in 30 mins.
    The size of the house makes it a luxurious easy stay. It has the charm of original features in the front of a Victorian double fronted villa and the excitement of prize winning architecturally designed new living spaces. Overall the house is light, dry and airy and the kitchen has all mod cons. We offer an unusual characteristic in St Kilda, known for its urban density and cultural life - a private large shady garden with couchs and chairs on the verandah in front and vine covered pergola in back for relaxing and outdoor dining or BBQ. We also offer our bikes for loan. Your room is by the front door so you can enter and exit or use the front verandah without interacting. It has a comfortable double bed, hanging space and drawers. We provide a fan, on hot nights and we have hydronic heating throughout the house. You can sleep with open windows. We have double glazing and fans in the living areas and the shade of our trees helps keep the whole house cool in summer. Ask us about parking when you apply.
    Our house is situated in a quiet residential street providing direct and indirect access to St Kilda Village and the beach. It is close to St Kilda Botanical gardens and is refreshingly quiet when you want to get away from the action at nearby Acland Street and the beach. We are in walking distance of shops, art galleries and markets as well as tram and train options including airport bus drop-off points.

Location was perfect, quiet but close enough to train/tram/bus lines for the city and all the amenities of St Kilda and Balaclava just a short walk away. Jen and her partner Jeff we great hosts and we enjoyed their company. Cooking in the kitchen was no problem. I can definitely recommend staying here.

  • What a beautiful home! We were lucky enough to be able to stay at Jen’s home for a few days. The room was large and comfy with a TV and enough space for yoga. The house itself was beautiful, great Australian art, great kitchen, lots of dining space in and outside. The bathroom is a large and comfortable space that feels secluded from the rest of the home. The location was great, we strolled down to Acland street each morning for coffee. Great restaurants and bars in the evening. We loved runs down the beach. It’s very easy to get a tram into the city from here. Train is also simple and we never had to wait more than 5 minutes for uber. Highly recommend!

  • When relocating from Sydney to melbourne, myself and my 15 month old puppy Addy required a local, long stay in order to familiarise ourselves with the area. What we got with our stay with Jen and Jeff was that and so much more. Jen was extremely attentive and quick with communication and made me feel from initial contact that this was the right stay for our needs. On arrival to Jens home you are greeted by the quaint exterior and little gate leading up to what can only be described as a “little gem” smack bang in the middle of St Kilda. The home was clean and tidy. The room itself was spacious and being at the front of the property allowed for privacy should you require it. The front deck a perfect little sun spot for your morning coffee but the real wow factor was the open plan living at the rear of the house dazzled in natural light. The pictures themselves just didn’t do it justice. I personally enjoyed my time shared with Jen and Jeff. Their knowledge of the local area and I was extremely grateful for their abundant help. Jen a wonderful conversationalist and Jeff a beautiful musician (should you be so lucky to witness his saxophone playing) not to mention darling skip the family four legged friend...being in their company was somewhat a treat.   • Joe's place is a gorgeous space for living. I stayed for 4 weeks when I moved back to Melbourne from a year travelling and immediately felt at home. All the amenities was provided for and the studio was clean and comfortable. It is also a very private space away from the main house and you get your own entrance. The studio gets a lot of natural light, which I love, but also has blinds to block them out when you need to sleep in!! I will definitely come back to stay again if I need a place in Melbourne! All communication was answered promptly the house was spotless with attention to detail in every room . There are two large supermarkets near the house, which can be reached in about five minutes on foot. It is also a half-hour drive from the city center. The house is cost-effective and quiet nearby. It is a good place for vacation.

The studio is simply gorgeous and feels very Moroccan, set in a lovely garden, with a little quiet outside sitting area. The location is excellent - close to beautiful Elwood beach and to vibrant St Kilda, within an easy drive to the centre of the city. Banu is such a genuine super-host: welcoming and extremely generous. We were able to use her pool and she even loaned us her own bicycles so that we could cycle along the scenic beach bike paths.   • My family and I loved our time at Banu’s studio. We were welcomed so warmly and nothing was too much trouble. Banu had organized flowers, went above and beyond with tasty treats and made us feel right at home. The children loved their tradition of feeding her fish, patting Luna and playing around in the garden. The studio itself has a great layout and we found that we had enough space for all 4 of us. Very comfortable beds, cosy seating area with a lovely outlook onto mature trees, plenty of natural light and a nice hot bath are some of the highlights of the space. Location wise we felt so safe in both the studio setting and the neighborhood. Short walk to beach parks, st Kilda beach, Botanical gardens, acland st. Short drive to Ormond shops and Elsternwick park. We loved exploring the suburb of Elwood amd St Kilda and all that it has to offer- so much for kids to do. A big thank you to Banu and her lovely family and friends for making us feel so welcome, we hope to see you all again.

  • This is a lovely home. Stay here! There is a stylish and spacious downstairs which is ideal for chilling, movies and even having some visitors!There isa big TV with Netflix and good wifi. It leads out onto a BBQ and pool. Bright and airy. Kitchen has a big bar area for serving. Upstairs has very comfy bedrooms and wardrobes. we slept very well. Lovely showers and bathrooms. Good off road parking space. Felt very secure. Close to public transport but we never used it. Side streets are quiet and you can also park there in case the road is a little busy to park the car.   • Jenny's place is right in the heart of St Kilda and minutes from the beach. Whatever she puts on the photos and whatever had been described, cannot match the beauty of the reality. We were lucky that the weather was super when we were there so we could enjoy the backyard to the fullest! We were hardly inside even though what is there not to enjoy even if we had to be inside in the case of rain? The place is equipped with Netflix, amenities are so complete (even a hi power hair dryer) and the kitchen is phenomenal (even the fondue set is there). I truly would like to go back there again and recommend this place for anyone.

    Lovely and comfortable 2 bedroom villa available for rent only when I am away. The next dates available are from 31st Dec 2019 to 13 Jan 2020. I will put the dates here when it is available after that. Great location, nice and safe area, near public transport, near St Kilda, in walking distance to the nearest train station, easy access to supermarkets and shops. Please note, I only accept people with at least one positive reference and it is not suitable for families with young children.
    Beautiful bright living space, spacious and comfortable master bedroom with large mirror, smaller comfortable bedroom with double bed and large mirror. Floorboards and wooden venetian blinds throughout.
    My house is tucked away at the end of the driveway, very quiet location, in a leafy, very safe residential neighbourhood. It's in a great location only 10-15 mins by tram to the action of St Kilda! and the beach or less than 10 mins by car. There is also a beautiful park 10 minutes walk from the house.
  • Lise was nice host. She was not near but she responded my message fast. The location of the house is quite far from the city center. However I could take trams at the station 5 minutes far from the house. Overall, It was a really nice stay.
