Places to stay in Bristol
A rare opportunity to stay in a huge first floor period apartment in one of England's most beautiful cities. Beautifully restored by us and with easy access to the city centre and countryside beyond. Free on-street parking and a space saved for you on request.
Ready
CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: We are open and able to offer the perfect place for social distancing, working from home or just different 4 walls. Rates are reduced and any cancellations are offered free to NHS front line staff. As we offer an entirely private apartment we are still able to offer a beautiful but rather different experience. Whether your holiday was cancelled or you wish to self isolate or work from another location or just sick of the same four walls. We can offer a car to apartment welcome and will greet you personally with a smile not a hand shake. Myself and Daniel clean and maintain the apartment personally to the highest standards and we use antibacterial treatments on all surface, particularly regularly touched areas. We are also laundering linen and towels at a high temperature of 90c. Hand wash is provided as always The apartment has Netflix/Tv and fast broadband suitable working from home or just play. The kitchen has all you need and a supermarket is literally 5 mins walk away. If you decide to venture out on foot, beautiful and quiet countryside and canal walks are just 5 mins away As we speak Bath and attractions and most restaurants and pubs remain open and should be lovely and quiet for once. This may change but the delivery services in Bath will happily bring the best local restaurant to your door. (We have an intercom so can be left at the door)
  • Daniel and Anna's place is a perfect place for a base to explore Bath. Daniel met us upon check-in and showed us round the beautiful stylish house. Breakfast Infront of those massive windows was a great start to each day. Would stay again :)

  • If you're lucky enough to find it available, book it! Communication was perfect, Daniel is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The flat is simply perfect and spotless. Shower is great, bed is comfortable, living room incredible. We had parking and they even let us park after our booking was over. We were late to free up the parking space but Daniel being a great dude was understanding. The flat is close to everything (15 min walk to center) and there are great pubs around. The view is amazing. Possibly the best Airbnb experience we had so far and we've been using it for 4 years. Book it now!

  • Daniel and Anna's apartment is a stunning space! It's in a great location well tucked away from the crowdedness of the town centre, situated in a lovely local neighbourhood with easy access to shops, bars, restaurants and also the more secluded areas. We enjoyed walking everywhere from here and waking up to the spectacular view over the fields everyday. The apartment has wonderful period features, natural light throughout and is spacious, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. It has all the amenities you could need and is decorated with many thoughtful touches. The hospitality was exceptional - we felt so welcomed and enjoyed having great chats with Daniel. All the local tips made our stay even more memorable! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique and special getaway to Bath.

  • The apartment was just as lovely as the pictures suggested and Daniel and Anna provided much appreciated additional details including reserving a parking spot, and that amazing bread - thanks!! It's a brilliant starting point to explore all Bath has to offer and we thoroughly enjoyed the walk to the city centre each morning and afternoon, getting to know the area. It's a beautiful city, even in the stormy rain(!), and we are really looking forward to staying here again in the future and perhaps walking into the countryside as Daniel suggested. We would heartily recommend staying here!

  • Beautiful apartment set in an ideal location. Daniel and Anna were great hosts with lots of local knowledge. Would definitely return to Bath and stay here again.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our few days in Bath and found Daniel and Anna’s apartment exactly as described. The whole apartment is lovely and warm with masses of hot water and all the facilities needed for a relaxing stay. We particularly appreciated the reserved parking space, super-comfy bed, great view over the city and delicious home made sourdough loaf! Thank you!

    Kathy2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay with helpful and friendly hosts.

    Neil2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Daniel and Anna’s place is just perfect. The little touches in this beautiful apartment made our stay feel extra special. Anna made a fresh loaf of bread (the best we’ve ever had!!!) with some jams, marmalade and milk in the fridge, this was just one of the little touches that made us smile :) The apartment is in a brilliant location, a good 15 minute walk from the centre. We knew all the best places to check out in Bath as Daniel and Anna kindly provided us with a list of all their favourite spots, which is brilliant if you’re looking to avoid chains and experience something a bit different. We’re already planning our next trip back to Bath, and can’t wait to be back in this gorgeous apartment!! Massive thanks to Daniel and Anna for creating just a brilliant stay for us.

A stylish and comfortable one bed flat just off the bustling Gloucester Rd with its great range of independent shops, bars and restaurants close by. We don’t charge extra for cleaning etc. 20 mins walk into town and close to great local, national and international transport links. This is a vibrant central area but a fairly quiet road with everything nearby. Children are welcome but we have no child locks etc. Parking can be difficult during the day but usually OK in the evening and at weekends.
This is a self contained flat with its own front door. We live in the house above so we're very happy to offer any info about the area or what to do. The flat is on the ground floor and has a small paved outside area too. There is one bedroom with a double bed and also a comfy sofa bed in the living room. There is a bathroom with shower and bath and a well equipped kitchen. The road is quiet and free parking is available on the road but it is often difficult to find a space. We use Egyptian cotton bedding and provide basics such as tea and coffee, shampoo etc. If you want more than one bath sheet each please let us know. We are happy to get any shopping you want in advance for payment when you arrive. A fold out bed or travel cot can be provided for children if required. Please let us know when you book. We are happy to accept bookings that are longer than a month but just let us know first. Thanks
The Gloucester Rd is a few steps away and we are lucky enough to have some of the best restaurants and gastro pubs nearby. It is the longest road of independent shops in Europe and has a really good selection including a couple of good supermarkets within 5 mins walk, as well as bakers, butchers, fishmongers, green grocers etc. There are also some great retro, vintage and charity shops. The flat is a short walk away from Gloucester Cricket Club which hosts local, national and international matches. We have a Bannatynes Gym with pool close by with membership available by the day. There is a great blog about all the lovely places to eat locally in the flat too. We can send the link if you'd like to plan!

  • Wonderful stay in Bristol. I had a 2 day training course to attend at the Marriott hotel and found the studio to be within very close proximity. Parking wasn't an issue as I arrived after 5pm and was gone before 9am so could park right outside. The studio is simply beautiful and I love the decor. The bed was snuggly and very comfortable, the shower was powerful and with underfloor heating in the bathroom I didn't feel cold at all. I was extremely impressed with the variety of cereals, teas, coffees, hot choc and even little marshmallows! After a full day of travelling and training it was so easy to relax here, I just wished I could have stayed longer. Thank you for a lovely stay.

    Toni2020-03-11T00:00:00Z

We are on the otherside of the garden - far enough for you to have your own space but close enough if you want a friendly chat.
This modern, converted space is equipped with: Tea, coffee and sugar. An oven/microwave and double hob, Essential such as bin bags, washing up equipment, shampoo, conditioner and towels. King size sofa bed, Complimentary Netflix and Sky (with Sky Movies) and has a private entrance.
This neighbourhood is very beautiful. Just a short 10 minute walk to the local anemities, such as Porto Lounge; a cosy, friendly cafe/restaurant overlooking Victoria Park. An incredible authentic Italian, La Piazza 1, is a delightful place to eat. There are great walks around this area and many parks such as Oldbury Court Estate, and my favourite Snuff Mills. Perfect for afternoon strolls.
  • Maria’s place is beautifully put together, with everything thought of, and more. Clean, warm, well equipped, and responsive hosting. Lovely

  • Maria was such a great host and responded very quickly when I had a few things I needed help with. I was anxious about staying somewhere on my own for the first time however Maria made me feel at ease and I had a wonderful stay. As a student Paramedic on shift this was a perfect place for me to stay when starting and finishing at all hours, meaning I didn’t have to worry about disturbing anyone. I will definitely be staying here again in the near future!

    Elin2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little place with everything you need! Quick responses from Maria and in an ideal location. Would highly recommend for a visit to Bristol :)

    Megan2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Would highly recommend. Great location, was so easy to get into the city centre in about 15 mins. Lots of free parking available. The place itself is gorgeous and cosy. Super clean, very warm (thanks to the dyson fan) and the smart TV with sky/netflix is a really nice touch. A fully kitted out kitchen (including some very yummy bread and wine) meant we didn’t have to bring anything ourselves which was very useful. Maria wasn’t there herself but she was extremely quick with responses. I unfortunately broke a wine glass by accident and she was so so lovely about it. Will definitely be back!

    Ray2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic little space on short notice for such a great price, Maria was very helpful and checking in and out couldn't have been easier. Will be visiting again soon for sure

    Alex2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Such a gem of a place. I cannot fault Maria as a host, she was so attentive and replied quickly if we needed anything. The space was sparkling clean, cosy and homely! I absolutely loved the sofa bed, it’s definitely the best place to chill out and relax! Thanks!!

We have a delightful, privately accessed annexe for you to enjoy your stay. It has a double sofa bed and enough room to add an additional single mattress for an extra guest. There is a large TV and a single wardrobe. We provide you with your own kitchenette and breakfast bar consisting of a kettle, toaster and microwave, washer/dryer. We will provide you with all the basics you need for a comfortable stay - tea, coffee, sugar, milk and breakfast bits and bobs and some toiletries.
The Snug is in walking distance of lovely pubs, restaurants, shops and woodland walks and a 15-30 min car or bus journey into central Bristol. If you are staying for work we are situated on the right side of Bristol for the Ministry of Defence, Aerospace, Rolls Royce, The Science Park and UWE to name but a few. Of course we also offer you a stylish and comfortable self contained place to stay.
Downend is a leafy, green affluent suburb on the north east side of Bristol. Downend village, as it’s known, has a collection of shops and services and a number of acclaimed eatery’s and cafes. There is a real feel of community and there are many venues offering community based classes and fitness opportunities. What I love the most is it’s lovely woodlands and walks along the Frome Valley walkway - just opposite The Snug is the entrance to Britannia Woods.

This lovely apartment is perfect for exploring the sights of Bath. The living room is spacious and light and the bed room sumptuous. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a supermarket just next door. A huge bonus is the free on street parking.
The 2nd floor apartment is perfect for couples looking for a wonderful getaway to Bath. Now with new 32" TV! The location is perfect for visitors wanting to explore the historic city of Bath and the surrounding countryside. The centre of Bath is just a 15 minute walk into the heart of the city, the walk in is via the London Road which is great for exploring Bath's renowned antique shops and the artisan shops of Walcot Street. The apartment also benefits from easy access to the stunning Kennet and Avon canal, which can be explored via a meadow at the rear of the apartment. Unusually for Bath, Kensington Place has free on street parking, as does Grosvenor Place just up the road so although parking isn't 100% guaranteed there are almost always spaces available. Locally there are a number of great pubs including the King William and The Beaufort. Morrison's supermarket is just 2 minutes away. The space consists of living room with dining table to enjoy any meals you wish to eat in the apartment, as well as TV and super comfy sofa, bedroom with double bed made up with fresh linen and a shower room. The kitchen is well equipped with cooker, fridge, kettle, toaster etc so perfect if you want to eat in. The apartment is self catering but we provide the basics like milk, tea, coffee etc.
For places to eat and drink we provide a list or our favourite places, however if you don't want to venture into the centre of the city the King William pub (which is excellent) and Nourish are both right on your doorstep. If you want to stay in and cook Morrison's supermarket (and 24 hour cash machine) is a 2 minute walk away. There is also a petrol station on the London Road. There is so much to see and do in Bath, the great thing about it is that as the city is so small you can see all the sights easily on foot. Some of the high points are the Royal Crescent, the Circus, Roman baths, the Abbey, the Holborne museum. The list is endless! The shopping is also great if you want to see quirky independents, for this I'd recommend Walcot Street, Bartlett Street and George Street. Larkhall: (a ‘village' centre in Bath) containing among other things, two convenience stores (McColl's and Co-op), a butchers, greengrocers, deli, pub and even a theatre, is just a 5 minute walk away (turn right outside the apartment, cross the road, take the second left up St Saviour's Road and keep going until you reach Larkhall). There is also easy access from the apartment onto the Kennet and Avon Canal path. You can head towards Bradford-on-Avon for a lovely walk and stop off at the George in at Bathampton Mill for refreshments! The apartment is off the main road into Bath, the bedroom does have secondary glazing so blocks a lot of the noise but please do expect some noise- it is a busy city after all!
  • Great apartment. Spotlessly clean. Wonderful location

    Ryan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic couple of days in Bath

    Tom2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • A beautifully decorated and very clean flat situated a 15/20min walk from the city centre. The views from the living room were beautiful and it’s location next to Morrison’s was very handy. Nice to explore an area just outside the city centre, great local fish and chip shop and King William pub within walking distance. Sanity Studio pottery was also close by and a very fun evening activity! Flat had everything we needed and the sofa was very comfy!!

    Jessica2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous apartment in a great location! Easy to get to from the city centre (bus/ walk/ Uber) and right by a big Morrison’s which was v helpful! Really clean and a comfortable place, I’d recommend!

  • A beautiful apartment about 20 mins from the centre of Bath. Lots of thoughtful touches and useful information provided so you can make the most of your stay. A really clean, modern, bright space, which is a great place to relax in after exploring the pretty city of Bath. Would highly recommend.

    Hanna2020-02-16T00:00:00Z

  • Guy's place is well located for anyone visiting Bath. The flat is at the top of an apartment and we didn't find it any more noisy than I would expect a central city place to be (the bedroom is out the back). It is well furnished (with a very comfy sofa!) and has all the amenities you would expect for a comfortable stay. We were there for two nights - would highly recommend it and if we're ever in the vicinity again we will consider staying if it is available. Guy met us at the property to show us round and was quick to respond to any queries we had both before and during our stay.

  • Lovely apartment in an ideal location for visiting Bath. Just a 20 min stroll through Victoria park into the centre. Jackie was an amazing host and was always available to help if we needed anything. A few lovely touches such as milk in the fridge, fresh croissants for breakfast and we were even given a nice bottle of prosecco. The wood burning stove was a nice way to keep toasty on some very cold winter nights and there was always plenty of fresh wood and kindling on hand. We would definitely reccomend staying here.

    Karl2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time in this charming little spot in Bath. Jackie was very attentive and helpful during our visit and the lead up, the room was clean and had all the amenities we needed for a brief stay, and getting in and out of the town center was simple via a nice walk. We also appreciated the cookies and croissants and helpful brochures and guides full of things to do nearby. Definitely recommended!

  • We had such a lovely stay here in Bath - the place was clean and stylish and kept very warm and cosy despite the cold outside! Jackie was a great host and very attentive to answering any queries. It is more of an en-suite than an entire flat, but still private with separate entrance etc and perfect for what we were looking for!

*** In light of the current situation, we have come to the decision to cancel all short term bookings within the next 12 weeks (until the end of June 2020). We have carefully considered the information and advice that we have been provided with by the government and feel that this is in the best interest of our guests, family and wider community. We are a business that welcomes people from across the country and we feel that we have a responsibility to minimise this for the time being. As a small business, this isn’t a decision that we have made lightly and we are continuing to think of ways that we can keep the business up and running, whilst also minimising any risks to our guests and family at Collins Farm. Going forward, in order to reduce footfall, we will only be accepting bookings that exceed a 14 day period and will be introducing a minimum 72 hour gap between bookings in order to carry out a thorough deep clean of the entire property. Guests will be able to check in to The Dovecote without any contact with ourselves, although we are always at the end of the phone should you need us. We apologise for any inconvenience that this causes*** Look out onto open fields from the main bedroom, while French doors lead to a private patio. This detached converted dovecote features vaulted ceilings and original walls of pale local stone, with an electric wood burner and Smart TV for cosy evenings in.
The beautiful city of Bath with its 18th century Georgian architecture, original Roman baths and impressive abbey is just 8 miles away. Other points of interest within an hour’s drive include Glastonbury, Wells, Stonehenge and Longleat Safari Park. Local shops, pubs and dining can be found in the neighbouring villages of Wick and Pucklechurch - each less than 1½ miles away. Shops and pubs 1½ miles. 4 steps to entrance. Ground Floor: Open plan living space: With French doors leading to patio. Living area: With electric wood burner and Smart TV. Dining area. Extra thoughtful touches, like 4 beds had been set up, milk in the fridge etc, things like this really made the stay extra special. The beds were super comfy! Perfect location. Great place and host, will definitely be returning.

  • Very comfortable, beautifully renovated apartment, provided with great amenities and conveniently located. Just be aware of the fairly steep climb up to the apartment from the main road, for those who like getting around on foot as we do. We highly recommend Tina and Richard’s lovely place and would definitely stay there again.

  • Me and a friend wanted a weekend away from London to de-stress and Tina & Richard’s flat was the ideal place for it! The flat was beautiful and cosy. The beds were comfy and the living room/kitchen area was very homely. We had everything we needed for a chilled out weekend. It was also very clean. So a perfect retreat for us to wind down and let the stress ebb away! We also enjoyed the location, there was a lovely local pub called The King William that we went to a couple of nights and a great plant based restaurant. It was also the perfect location to access the canal so we went on a long winter walk. Thank you for a lovely time Tina & Richard!

    Rosie2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • I've stayed at both of Richard and Tina's accommodations I can highly recommend both places. Richard and Tina are very welcoming hosts.

Not only is it the comfiest but it also pulls out into a sofabed should you wish to travel as a group of 3 or 4. Walking down the hallway towards the kitchen you have the bathroom on your right with a separate bath and shower, all brand new and modern. The main bedroom is located at the back of the flat overlooking the patio area - we've kept everything minimal and created a calming atmosphere. There's space for clothes in the bedroom, along with hangers in the wardrobe if you want to hang anything up. Parking permits are available on request The kitchen is kitted out with all the mod cons you need - dishwasher, microwave, oven, stove and kettle etc. If you continue through the kitchen you can walk out on to the sun bathed patio right at the back of the property. We've been lucky enough to get a large, south facing patio in Clifton so make the most of it! We've left table and chairs out there for you to enjoy the sun. Parking permits are available on request.
Clifton speaks for itself - the area is gushing with character and you'll never be lost for things to do. The famous Clifton Lido is a stones throw away (visible from the top of the steps!) and the surrounding area is brimming with bars, restaurants and cafes. Enjoying the Farm and its Facilities One of the biggest benefits about staying on a farm is there’s loads to see and do without even leaving the site, it’s great for families, friends and couples alike! Avon Farm Cottages have secured fishing rights for their stretch of the river, just a short walk from the holiday cottages. Guests are welcome to fish in the river, own equipment and licence required. Bicycles are available to hire from Clive and Serena. Please help yourselves to chicken eggs.  The chickens are beyond the car park through the opening onto the fields Not far from the chickens is a family of goats.  They like being fed vegetables, fruit, even bananas! Walk past the past the goats, follow the path down to the river and take a riverside walk either way along the public foot paths. The horses do not belong to the farm and are looked after by their owners who come daily to see them.  Please do not feed the horses, but they are always happy for a stroke on the nose and a hello. Next to the chickens is the poly tunnel, and when there is fresh produce, you’ll find some in your welcome pack, and can refill this when there is plenty. Feeling green fingered?  The grounds of the farm are always in need to something, so feel free to help us keep the farm looking lovely.  Whether that be a bit of weeding, dead heading, or just advice, we will welcome any help! All around this field are many blackberry bushes, please help yourselves when they are ripe. There are other tenants on the farm that either live with us in the converted barns, or just let a stable and field.  They are all very nice, and always happy to answer any questions! Local amenities Saltford is a vibrant community of more than 4,000 residents situated on the A4 between Keynsham and Bath, alongside the River Avon and the Bath-Bristol cycle-path. Its location makes Saltford the perfect hub for activities in the Avon Valley. The village is surrounded by open countryside, with lanes, riverside walks and lovely views across the Avon Valley. • Stunning location by the river, nice and remote with adorable horses next door. The property is very well equipped with a wood burner, and everything you might need in a kitchen. Overall, we had a great stay at the Dovecote! I would recommend using a car to get around the area (Bath/Bristol) but we found lots of places to go hiking and cycling in the local area. The hot tub especially was a highlight but do make sure you are careful to respect the working farm rules and switch off by 10pm. The aforementioned horses need their sleep :) zzz Hope you choose to stay here and have a wonderful time!

They had a smart tv which was useful in the evenings when we were chilling out. We were able to cook meals with all the utensils etc! The bed was so comfy and small sets of shower gel/hats were on the bed when we came in! All the small touches made the experience so amazing! There was a visitors book which was so nice to read through and everyone had such nice things to stay! There was informative books for us to read through to help if anything was needed. The best part was the hot tub! It was such a lovely part of our trip to have a relaxing time! We had such a good time and will be returning! It’s perfect for a relaxing weekend get away! We will 100% be returning!!! :)

  • The Dovecote is a picture perfect place to stay in an amazing location. It is so clean and tidy. The hot tub is amazing and such an added value. Serena was such a thoughtful host even offering to change our towels out as we were staying longer than a week. The farm is so awesome - the animals are adorable especially little Blue - the sweetest puppy. And Wayne was so helpful!! Location is perfect !! 2.5 hours or under to everything! Including Wales and the coast at Dorset. We will be coming back for another stay next time we are in the UK. Thank you this was the perfect place for us to spend our 10th wedding anniversary!!

  • What a secret hideaway! We had a beautiful stay at the Dovecote; relaxing, luxurious and individual. Perfect little house for two and our pup loved every minute also. Very well maintained farm and the people were so friendly. Great location to go and explore the local surroundings. We will definitely visit again and maybe try another of your secret hideaways!

  • A lovely apartment within walking distance to Bath centre. Secure parking on the street outside. Wonderful hosts who made it very easy to find and check in. The apartment was very spacious and well equipped. Many thanks

    Christina2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A charming, stylish, warm and large apartment that was perfect for all our needs. Richard was a great host and looked after us well, and went out of his way to accommodate our needs. The apartment is not in the centre of Bath and on a huge steep hill; positives: there were a coupe of great restaurants/pubs nearby for the evening we did not want to walk all the way to the centre, it took only 15 minutes to Walcot Street, there was great view from there and our legs are more toned for it! all good!!!

    Antonella2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Stylish flat within easy walking distance to the centre of Bath. Tina and Richard were able to be flexible to an earlier arrival time and made checking in very smooth.

  • Have used Tina and Richard's accommodations on a number of occasions. They are great hosts and their Downstairs apartment is a lovely and unique space.

  • Situated in a lovely village with local walks and easy driving distance into Bath. The cottage has everything you could need for a weekend away. Responses from Cath were quick and helpful, accessing the cottage was hassle free. I would really recommend staying here if you would like a base in a prettier, more rural area, to explore Bath and surrounding areas.

    Megan2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely brilliant. I came to Wellow for a long weekend to propose to my girlfriend in Bath, and Cath the owner was incredibly helpful, really thoughtful. The village is really beautiful for a calm walk, nice and close to the park and ride into Bath, and the house itself was really nice, cute, cosy and stylish all at once. Everything was thought of. Great stay, thanks Cath.

  • A very comfortable little home which met all our needs and was very quiet.. it's an unusual community project in an unusual location, but if you like something different try it - we loved it !

  • Awesome Eco apartment to stay in

    Rebecca2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • A very cosy and well presented place to stay. Close to local amenities we explored a bit of Bristol and was close to most things in a car.

    Natika2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place to stay and a bit different - basically exactly as described and in the photos!

    Seiriol2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We booked the TAM as a fairly last minute booking as a birthday weekend stay. The description of the location is accurate and it is situated within a gated community centre with secure locked gate system. The TAM provides everything we needed to just walk in and live for the weekend. We chose the TAM as are very interested in Eco friendly and sustainable living and this didn't disappoint. Even the paint on the walls has been created from natural materials. There is a supermarket only a 5 minute drive away so we were able to cook our own meals with ease. A very comfortable stay in a very clean and unique property.

    Amanda Jane2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Everything is clean and the tiny house is very nice. Really enjoyed our stay.

    Kim2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • The Ecohouse was perfect for our few nights getaway in Bristol... it had everything we needed, kitchen has all mod cons, and the essentials of course tea, coffee, oil, condiments and more bits . Bed was lovely ,soft and cosy with extra blankets and pillows if needed. Power shower en suite , lots of storage... Living space is big open plan with big patio doors on to a decking and little garden. Television with lots of channels & WiFi x We love to drive everywhere, (but I’m sure it’s pretty easy for getting about on Public transport )apart from getting an Uber to the O2 academy for our gig which I think was about £9 which we thought was reasonable. ....we parked my car on the street outside the house , as we weren’t sure we could park inside the gated area.

  • This apartment is very nice and cosy. Breakfast included is a bonus, and Helen and Adam are very convenient for arriving and departure time.

    Estelle2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • It was a really comfortable place to stay for a few days. Helen was very helpful and the fireplace was a great feature. The only minor thing was the matras which was harder than we are used to, but besides of that we had a great experience!

    Arjen2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Helen and Adam were wonderful! Their place was impeccable, perfectly spacious for two and felt so personal! I'd say that I loved staying inside the room more than I liked being outside in Bristol! The fire place offers such a nice touch and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you'd need. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay here x Highly recommend!

  • This is a real gem of a place, and excellent value for money - Helen and Andy are lovely and welcoming and the space was incredibly cosy and full of thoughtful touches. A 20 minute walk into the centre and plenty of eateries nearby made it very convenient. We'd love to stay again!

    Ellie2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic use of space. Had everything we needed with nice little touches e.g. fire and Netflix. Location was fab , cheap Uber to basically anywhere we wanted to go. Hosts were inviting and helpful. It was rainy , windy and terrible weather some of the nights and the place was so warm and cosy ! For us it was this or a hotel costing around the same and I cannot recommend this enough

    Jordan2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Helen's place is a fantastic, cosy little place to stay. The annex was beautiful and we both enjoyed a comfortable few days. Communication was brilliant with both hosts with fast replies and the place had everything that you could need. The log burner was a fantastic addition to making the place warm and cosy and the location was perfect with the nearby bus stops. We really appreciated the fresh breakfast items in the mornings too! Couldn't recommend this place enough! Ella & Ewan

  • We stayed at Sarah and Mark’s place over the weekend whilst visiting family. The property was much larger than we expected and spotlessly clean. The extra touches of milk etc were much appreciated. The apartment offers a great location for shops, cafes and tourist attractions in Bristol. The car parking space is a definite bonus. We would definitely recommend it to anyone and we shall return when in Bristol again.

  • This is an utter gem. I’ve thought a lot on the 3 hour journey home as to what to write but I can’t do the space justice. Cool, stylish, sleek and spotlessly clean. Sarah and Mark are super swift to reply and very generous. You couldn’t ask for a better place and I’ll definitely be back!

  • A spectacular room with good access to canal walks and to the city centre! Room has everything you need and is a lovely little space. Location is about 10-15 minute walk to city centre. Host was really quick at responding and helped with any issues we had, and was really accommodating, so a really good trip in Bath!

  • Lovely little space, close to Bath city centre (approx 10 minute walk - train station 5 minute walk). The studio had everything we needed and Matt also kindly sorted out a parking permit for us. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting!

The Shepherds Hut is the ultimate romantic rural retreat for couples who are looking to get away from it all. Idyllically located looking out over the fields that line the River Avon and the beautiful rolling green hills beyond up to Kelston Round Hill– the Shepherds Hut is perfectly cosy and compact, offering a couple (+ 1 well-behaved dog*) all the comforts you would expect from bricks and mortar within a 20ft traditional shepherds hut, including a wood burner and outdoor hot tub!
INTRODUCTION *NOTE: 1 well-behaved dog is welcome at the Shepherds Hut at an additional cost of £30 per dog. Please let us know if you will be bringing a dog and we will then revise your booking confirmation. Set within the owner’s 230-acre arable farm, the five outstanding properties that comprise Avon Farm Estate are decorated to a high standard, and each boasts a large open plan living area (except for the cute and compact Shepherds Hut!) There are goats and chickens on the farm, so if you are up early enough, you can help yourself to some fresh eggs or wander around the stables. Once you have settled into your Avon Farm holiday cottage you can decide what you want to do, probably a mix of relaxing in your comfortable space and testing out the hot tub, enjoying the flora and fauna surrounding the farm and just soaking up the atmosphere. However, if you wish to explore you can walk around the estate and stroll along the Avon River to the local public house on the riverbank, or for the more active, you can hire a bicycle from Clive and Serena (pre-booking required) head down the cycle path, which was once the old train track, to either Bath or Bristol – only 2 minutes from your accommodation, how green is that? Both cities are full of interesting places to visit and activities for all ages! The Shepherds Hut has been designed efficiently to maximise space and provide everything that you will need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The space is bright, airy and modern with a half glass-panel door and plenty of windows. Step up into the beautifully furnished main kitchenette/living area, and you will find your cosy double sleeping compartment at one end and surprisingly spacious shower room at the other. Every part of the hut has been created to maximise storage space, and within the various underbed or overhead cupboards you’ll find all manner of utensils – it’s all there! Guests have access to the 230 acres of land, which includes the River Avon, where you can do a spot of fishing (a licence is required). Take a walk through the farmland and you reach the local pub, which is situated on the bank of the river less than 1 mile away. The farm is also 2 minutes away from the Bristol and Bath cycle track, perfect for cyclists and walkers, and the property is close to Saltford Sailing Club. Surrounded by open countryside, Saltford is also known for its history and has a conservation area, with a restored brass mill (dating to 1720), an old manor house and a church with a Saxon tower. Just 6 miles away is the vibrant heritage city of Bath, which boasts the famous Roman baths, Thermae Bath spa, and the famous Royal Crescent, which is one of Bath’s most iconic landmarks. There are also several National Trust areas nearby, including Dyrham Park and Stourhead House. Hen parties are permitted; however, we ask that Avon Farm rules are respected (see below) and where possible members of the group travel together to avoid extra traffic on the farm lane. Avon Farm rules: respect the 10mph limit around the farm; keep to the 20mph limit on Avon Lane; no outside noise after 11pm; no hot tub use after 10pm; and lastly, please notify the owners if any outside services have been booked (e.g. a chef).   FACILITIES  Sleeps 2 in a double bed sleeping compartment  1 bathroom with walk-in shower, WC and washbasin  Parking  Gravelled immediate outdoor area and grass  Wood burner – 1 bag of logs, fire starter + lighter provided between Oct – April. Saltford is widely known for its history, with the ‘old village’ lying within a Conservation Area and including St Mary’s Church (over 1,000 years old with a Saxon tower); Saltford Manor House, a Grade II listed building estimated to date to the Norman era and thought to be the oldest continuously occupied private house in England; and the restored Ancient Brass Mill (1720), which is a gem of industrial heritage. Today Saltford is a thriving community of over 200 successful businesses, many run as work-from-home enterprises. • ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS PLACE! Would 100% recommend! Amazing views and an amazing place to stay! Would definitely return back here! The Shepherds Hut was amazingly clean and cosy! The bed was comfy and it was very warm inside throughout the day and night! The jacuzzi was perfectly relaxing and in the perfect spot to look up at the views and the stars at night time! Very romantic and it feels like you’re in the middle of no where with all the privacy in the world! The stables near by were very pretty and it was lovely to see the horses, goats and chickens and also being able to walk around the grounds! This place is 10 minutes away from a huge car park near the main town where you can walk around to see the amazing shops and also the Christmas market! (Depending what time of year you go of course!) This was a surprise trip for my partners birthday and he fell in love with it the same as me when I booked it! My high expectations of this place were definitely matched and we had the best stay ever! THANK YOU!

  • Really amazing place to stay, very romantic and has everything you need!

    Danielle2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Characterful and cosy in a BEAUTIFUL location. It’s got the perfect balance of feeling like it’s in the middle of no where whilst still being within walking distance of shops and lovely pubs. The hut itself was clean and well stocked with a welcome pack and everything you could possibly need to make the stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. It felt very secluded and private despite being on farm, but we knew we could call our hosts or pop up to the office if we needed anything. The BBQ, hot tub and fire pit worked brilliantly in the wintery weather. An all round AMAZING stay! Can’t wait to go back. Thanks!
