Places to stay in Canterbury
This working cattle farm, located on 36 acres with a panoramic view of the New Hampshire countryside, is adjacent to miles of trails for hiking, skiing or snowshoes. Stay the night and you'll want to stay forever at this magical farm on the hill. We are sorry but the hot tub jets do not work. The apartment has a full private kitchen with a dishwasher for you to prepare your meals. Breakfast is not provided. There is a minimum $30 fee for the first pet and $20 for each additional pet.
Miles Smith Farm was founded in the 1830's by Miles Smith who, with his wife and daughters, are buried in the farm cemetery. Our Scottish Highlander cattle are so tame we ride them. You can too! And we have a special pig, Tazzy, who will entertain you and your family by rolling over to have her belly scratched. Tazzy's roommate is Penny and both will gladly spend time with you in the apartment. A full kitchen with a dishwasher is included. Our Solar Farm Store is located on the farm (next to the barn) for some fantastic grass-fed beef, pastured pork and lamb and many other locally produced items. We don't sell alcohol, so bring your own wine or beer. The downstairs bathroom has a champagne tub and shower, while the upstairs bath is a private bath with shower, off the master bedroom. The apartment is private from the main house. We have miles and miles of trails for snowshoeing in the winter and hiking in the summer. If you want to snowshoe let us know. We'll rent you some gear. We have one TV with a VCR player. We have a selection of children's VCR tapes. A propane grill is available for rent ($10 one time fee). Let us know if you would like to use it while you stay.
We have an on-farm store stocked with only local products including grass-fed beef and pastured pork raised on the farm. It is a true Country Store to complement your Country Inn experience. New Hampshire Motor Speedway is just 2 minutes, and Canterbury Shaker Village is 5 minutes by car.
  • Super homey and comfortable welcoming feeling is what you will get as long as you walk through the door. Fire was already burning and made the welcoming even more special

  • -- Family of four (children 9 and 11) 2 night stay -- Absolutely incredible hospitality, super-fun immersive farm experience, 15 minutes from Concord. Definitely recommend! (multiple nights to really appreciate)

  • What a great place for a change of scenery during the winter. The wood stove was going when we arrived and the kids had a blast walking the grounds and discovering the various animals. We checked out the farm store and got a few things for a yummy dinner. Nothing beats the sight of cattle when waking up. Carole and her husband were great hosts!

    Sébastien2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • This farm is a secret gem in the mountains! Walking the farm animals, riding horses, a cozy wood-stove warmed living room...everything was amazing and Carole was fantastic to work with!

    Dave2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great stay at Miles Smith Farm - Carole is such a wonderful host and our whole family enjoyed sledding and meeting all the animals at the farm. The cozy wood stove makes for charming evenings and the jacuzzi tub was a real treat. The playspace for kids was a real bonus and something our children thoroughly enjoyed. We're looking forward to planning our next trip to the farm!

    Eleanor2020-02-17T00:00:00Z

  • This is a beautiful place to stay. We wished we could have stayed longer! The wood burning stove is warm and inviting, and the whole apartment is rustic with a cabin vibe and very clean. The convenience of having a full kitchen was a major plus. The farm animals were so fun to walk around and visit and the farm has a quiet, peaceful energy. Thank you to Carole for your hospitality. We will definitely be back!

PLEASE NOTE NEW PRICING: A $25.00 refund per night is offered after the first night stay. Your refund for this offer will be paid by me and not Airbnb after your arrival here. And & I apologize for needing to do this method of pricing but my one nighters are more costly in preparation for the next guests as four or five others may be quickly following you.
Tiny Earth Cabin is situated on a sixty-acre parcel of privately owned land in the small town of Canterbury, NH. In case you have forgotten something the Country Store in Canterbury Center is just a couple minutes away or available en route. Upon your arrival at the owners driveway (1.88 miles from Canterbury center Eastward on Hackleboro Road) your host or one of his staff will greet you and assist in parking and with the transfer of your personal items for your stay. When unloaded at the trailhead there is a five-minute stroll on a groomed path to your unique Eco-designed Cabin. Your host will accompany and assist you in transporting items to the Cabin and provide you with a tour of the cabin's amenities. Should you require access to the Cabin via SUV there is an access road available usually? Being isolated and secure from any onlookers the Tiny Earth Cabin is delightfully off grid and is fully equipped with 12 volt LED lighting and ceiling fans to better circulate heat from the small wood stove. Recently a new double hung screened window has been installed at head level and easy to operate during the night. The wood stove is equipped with a glass window, which provides a fireplace-like flickering light ambience for your cozy room. With firewood provided for at no cost during mild temperatures your reduced carbon footprint will be noticed by our Earth’s most grateful ecosystem. Winter stay with more wood burning required may raise the price of dry firewood available. Fresh Spring Water is contained in two 5-gallon carboys. A small copper sink is tucked into the food preparation countertop for cooking and wash ups. On the entry porch an antique ice chest will be chilled prior to your arrival with plenty of space available for a few days stay. Two small 12v overhead quiet fans move fresh air around well. The Queen bed consumes one quarter of floor area and is the inviting centerpiece of your lodging with fresh sheets & towels for your arrival. See deals below. A combination two-burner stove with oven provides for your food preparation needs and a new propane grill rests on the outside dining table. A very cool sunken FirePit with a cooking grill is also close to the cabin door. Fire wood may soon be packaged in small bundles for purchase or you pack it down from my house no cost. The adorable Earth composting loo a few steps from the side door accommodates your disposal needs and is well light along the path. Verizon cell service is usually available at the cabin for voice but data is slow up load tho a great upload was posted on Instagram by guests from the cabin door? The fee structure is $125.00 for a single night occupancy but bring your own sheets and save another $10.00 per night. A comforter/duvet is available as well and blankets are overhead the bed storage area. FEE STRUCTURE: A stay of one night is $ 125.00 but with your own sheets you can save $10.00. For two or more nights and with my fresh sheets the rate is $125.00 per night which lessens the burden for me doing laundry more often. With your sheets then it would be $10.00 less per night. (This pricing becomes effective on January first ‘19) The fire pit wood is presently free but your salvage efforts from close by fallen limbs is encouraged. Few ticks are usually detected near the groomed cabin grounds and have never been noticed on the walking trail. Don’t forget Cabin Slippers, rain gear if sketchy weather is forecast. Try to bring your own ice for the cooler if needed but if burdensome I will fetch it for you ahead of time.
Tho the cabin is secluded your short drive to Concord (the State Capital) can offer numerous social, artistic and entertainment venues to enjoy. From C’bury to Manchester is about a 50 minute drive and The Currier Museum of Art is a must if you have time to go there. Historic Shaker Village is also located in C’bury and is a major destination for cultural/historically curious visitors. If visits here are Winter oriented then numerous ski tours and snow machines are welcomed about the area and here. Bring your pets if desired but remember that the floor space is small. Emus are fine as well but must be stabbed outside or in one of my exterior studios. Have a pack Lama too perhaps?
  • If you’re an outdoor lover then you NEED to stay at this magical Tiny Earth Cabin. It felt like I was camping inside the cutest little cabin, with a wood stove to stay oh so cozy. Not to mention all the surrounding land and trails that are able to be explored. Chance was one of the best hosts I’ve dealt with, and went above and beyond to accommodate for us. I will absolutely be back to this peaceful retreat in the forest, and cannot recommend it enough! The Tiny Earth Cabin is truly magick on earth.

    Emilie2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing, tranquil getaway. Rustic and raw, a perfect escape from city life. We had such a nice time grilling food, keeping a fire, and wandering the woods. Would highly suggest to anyone looking to get away! Chance is such a friendly and unique host, makes for a memorable experience.

    Tom2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • First off...what an amazing stay. If you are looking for a complete getaway from the outside world this is your place. Chance is amazing!! He is so kind and helpful. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who is up for a tiny nature cabin adventure. Some things to think about before booking/arriving. We went in the winter and there was about 2 feet of snow. The driveway is massive, long, and STEEP! Chance kindly offered to come get us and we are so thankful we took him up on the offer. It’s a doosey even with 4 wheel drive we recommend having him come get you at the bottom of the driveway if it’s snowy. Trust us you think you can do it but it’s steep and keeps going. Very slippery in the snow! Additionally it is about a 5 min walk from the hosts house to the tiny cabin. Once again if it’s winter and it’s snowy plan accordingly. Chance walked us out to the cabin and helped us bring our things, but pack as little as possible given you have to bring your stuff in a sled when it’s snowy or carry it. All of these suggestions come with the fact that there was snow. Chance is more than accommodating for all these struggles so just ask! This is amazing adventure for anyone looking for nature! Can’t wait to stay again (maybe in the summer with less snow).

    Leann2020-02-16T00:00:00Z

  • Mary had a nice, clean spot for a good place to rest. I was in town only for the night as I was taking a speciality test in Concord at a Prometric center. Only 10 minutes from the testing site. It was a good spot to get to bed early, take a warm shower in the morning, and have a cup of coffee. She had a nice selection of Keurigs and a refrigerator to keep food in overnight.

  • Aurora's place is the perfect little getaway! I stayed with my husband and we brought our jack russell. The room had beautiful views and was very cozy. Aurora and her husband were very kind and suggested a few local restaurants to check out. We would definitely consider staying here again if we are ever in the area!

    Rachel2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place is really beautiful and romantic! Perfect for a weekend getaway. We also loved the walks around; it's nice to go and see the frozen lakes.

    Sebastian2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Aurora’s space was great. The property is beautiful. Far enough out that it feels secluded, but not so far that there’s nowhere to go for food and such. She was friendly and prompt in our correspondences. The space is above the furnace room, so it was a little warm, but opening the windows worked well. Aurora offered to adjust the temp to my comfort and even dug a fan out of storage for me to use. A strange request in the winter that she happily accommodated. She has a few dogs who are all friendly, and speaking as a dog trainer, they were very well behaved. There’s also a very friendly feline on the premises that made for great company. We only got a chance to meet aurora in person during the morning on our check out day, but we found our conversation with her to be quite pleasant and engaging. As prospective movers to the state, her insight about life here was much appreciated. We’ll almost certainly return to this Airbnb on future trip or perhaps to just get away from the city should we make the move to NH.

    Robert2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Aurora’s place is so cozy and sweet! It has lovely touches, like a bottle of wine, tea, books, and even headlamps for evening walks. Aurora was so responsive and accommodating of our every need. It was the perfect spot for us to spend a few nights on an anniversary ski trip. We definitely recommend!

  • It was my husbands birthday. We pulled up early and took out our mountain bikes and went for a great ride through their trails. We loved our overnight. Aurora was amazing. ( she had just had a baby 6 months ago). We ended up leaving with a new family member. Patsy’s (the dog) 8 week old pup. Best trip ever. Kat Brown

  • Highland Park place is a wonderful space to relax and unwind. Jason has thought of everything you might want and delivers a no worries stay. He answered every message promptly both before and during our trip. I had never done an Airbnb before this one, but I can say if I ever do another, the bar to beat has been set pretty high.

  • This was an awesome place

    Sharon2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A little off the beaten path but worth it. We brought all we needed to cook and were well equipped with what was in the house. A little further from skiing than I thought but still a great place to stay. House was spotless and roomy and had every item you could possibly need. Tons of fun games and darts and bumper pool. Only thing missing was a hot tub for our sore muscles. :) would stay again!

    Nadine2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This home is amazing. Absolutely perfect for a family getaway and Jason could not be more accommodating to any questions you have. Would definitely book it again if I were to be in the area.

2 Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms, living room and fully equipped Kitchen! Second floor Farmhouse apartment within an antique colonial on a 140 acre 1743 farm and equestrian facility in the country, yet super easy access to I-93 - 10 minutes to the historic city of Concord or go north to the Lakes Region or the White Mountains!
Windswept Farm was built by Samuel Moore in 1743. Over the last 270+ years it has been the home and working farm to many families. Sampson Battis, a decorated Revolutionary War hero and slave to Archelaus Moore actually lived in the apartment for many years in the 1700s. It was also a Summer Retreat and lively Tavern over the years. It has been lovingly restored and now offers a quaint and comfy 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment. Windswept is now a working farm and equestrian facility with riding arenas and trails. The grounds offer 140 acres of peaceful tranquility. From perennial gardens to fruit and vegetable gardens, there are many areas to explore. The views and sunsets are breathtaking. There are many hayfields and miles of groomed trails to hike, bike, snowshoe and X-C ski. The rental rate includes the NH 9% rentals tax. Your private entrance includes the original old quaint entryway with the wide floorboards, a handmade coat rack and shelf with a boot tray. There is also a small bathroom with a shower on the first floor. Up the original narrow stairway you enter into the dining/bar area opened to the fully equipped kitchen and comfortable living room. In each of the two bedrooms, there is a queen sized bed with crisp Egyption Cotton linens and bedside tables with lamps for reading. The master bed has a brand new medium plush Brooklyn Bed mattress - extreme comfort! The cabin bedroom has a very comfortable medium firm mattress. You will find plenty of closet and bureau space to put your things away. The master bedroom has a spacious bath which is 2 steps away in the common hallway (privacy provided with a thick partition/room divider). The second bath is on the first floor off the entryway foyer. In the winter it can be a bit chilly! Soft cotton hand and bath towels are also provided in each bathroom. The apartment has a TV with a full premium cable package and the entire apartment has Xfinity Wifi Internet. Puzzles, magazines, books and games also provide indoor entertainment. You will also find an outdoor table and chair set with a barbecue grill for outdoor meals. Snowshoes, XC skis (size 9 and 11) and bikes are available for your use on the premises. Horseback riding opportunities are available for beginner to experienced riders at an additional cost. Spacious well bedded stalls are available for those traveling with their horse. We promise a quiet relaxing country atmosphere, yet we are 10 minutes to historic Concord NH. Other attractions nearby: Music Venues - Meadowbrook and Capital Theatre of the Arts, several museums, Quickwater Canoe and Kayak, Disc Golf, Tennis Courts, The Tilton Outlets Shopping Mall, White Mountains, skiing, snowsheoing, snowmobiling, Hampton Beach, Lakes region and Weirs Beach, The Canterbury Shaker Village, NH Motor Speedway and 4 Public Golf course/Country Clubs! Come visit our peaceful pretty farm in the country and enjoy a little history and alot of beauty. You are welcome anywhere on the grounds. There are 2 large barns, one is a big red antique with lots of original treasures. The other is a stable housing horses and is attached to the indoor riding arena. We hope you make yourself at home on our 140 acres of gardens, trails, hayfields, forest and stone walls. There are several outdoor chairs placed around the grounds for you to relax and enjoy. Our farm mascot is Elizabeth, sweet cluckable Bantam Hen. She has a HUGE personality! A grounds and trail map is in the home manual in the apartment. We tend to give our guests their privacy after checking in. I am always just a knock, text, or phone call away for any needs regarding your accommodations or to give advice about the farm, restaurants, town of Canterbury, or the central NH areas. We are out in the country and live at the end of a short dirt road. Our only neighbors are our farm critters. It is typically nice and quiet with the exception of the neighing of horses and the farm tractor's rumble. A vehicle is necessary and we have plenty of parking. We do not allow smoking in any of our buildings and can provide an ashtray upon request for smoking outside.
The neighborhood consists of gardens, hayfields, stonewalls and forest.
  • We travel to Concord to visit our adult kids several times per year so have stayed at multiple hotels and AirBnBs in the area - this is the one we'll return to! excellent location central to either Northern or Southern NH but comfortable, secluded and quite, with the added touch of really cool history, the familiar and welcome sites, sounds and smells of the horses on the farm, and excellent hospitality. Highly recommended!

    Keith2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great trip and really enjoyed our stay!

    Robyn2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for a beautiful, quiet, and peaceful yet Quirky (colonial era farmhouse complete with slanting floors and fun wood beams) stay in greater Concord this is the best place. We enjoyed the world surroundings, the convenience to New Hampshire motor Speedway, and easy access to other attractions. We will be staying with Corine again. Neat as a pin and so peaceful. Next time I want to visit the horses!

    Elizabeth2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place, recommended for those who want to have lovely hospitality and a desire to get a little back to nature. Explore the surrounding areas, what a wonderful place.

    Jennifer2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place is top notch! And the hosts are the icing on the cake! Everything was as described and our stay was even better than we expected! The apartment was perfect for our family of 4. The beds were super comfortable, kitchen was adequately supplied. The pool, the greating cats, dog, and horses were all wonderful. We enjoyed our stay so much we are already planning a trip back next summer!

    Katie2019-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Convenient location and in the quiet you want for relaxing after a day of exploring. My son and I enjoyed the two-bedroom flat with an equipped kitchen and access to a refreshing pool. All the animals at the farm provided a unique touch to the stay.

  • Beautiful house, plenty of space

    Emily2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, spacious, peaceful property with lots of amenities. It was big enough for our large group with a playground 2 houses down and easy lake access. Rural country setting but only 4 miles from grocery stores and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay!

    Tia2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was so much better in person! Excellent location on the water and it is swimmable (some other reviews suggest otherwise). Excellent fishing too!!! Great for larger groups - plenty of space. I would definitely go back.

    Nicole2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place for a large family or two families traveling together as we were. You have neighbors close by, but we never heard them! The waterfront is a little weedy but we had no problems floating out over them. Two living room type areas so you can have enough space to spread out, or the main living room is big enough for everyone! You are set apart from town enough for much peace and quiet, but close enough to hop into town for dinner, groceries or shopping. Highly recommend the Winnipesaukee Rail trail for a beautiful (flat) walk along the old railroad tracks. Also, a screened in, quite large, area to eat and relax in. This property was a little farther from our venue than we usually like to be, otherwise we would book it today for next summer!!

  • Rob and Kara's place is one of a kind. It was really clean and the room is really nice. I loved spending time with Connor and Skipper, from next door. All the amenities were great. Wi-Fi was solid, I was easily able to get work done! Overall, I would 100% recommend their place, so much so, I already have booked my upcoming stay in Summer.

Try the tiny life! Adorable tiny home on wheels, built on a 22’ trailer. Nestled in Hill, NH, but with so much to do...We are 8 miles from Ragged Mountain Ski Resort, 26 miles from White Mountain National Forest, and just a few feet away from snowmobile trails that extend all the way into Canada. Please visit our website littlehouseintheboro to learn more.
The tiny house is parked near our barn, off a quiet dirt road in Hill, NH. It includes a kitchen with the basics, a small bathroom with shower and rv-style toilet, a queen bed in the loft, and a twin bed on the main floor. We rarely use AC, but there is a window unit and also an electric fireplace for cool evenings. We haven’t yet figured out how to get cable and WiFi down to the tiny house. The TV has a DVD player and HDMI port. Depending on what cell service you have, reception may or may not be good. That being said, the outdoors is why most people visit, so we hope you won’t miss the technology.
The beauty of central NH is beyond compare. Lakes, rivers, mountains, forests... We really have it all!
  • Beautiful, quiet property. Gorgeous tiny house and excellent hosts. Far enough away, but close enough if you want a nice dinner or drinks...Amenities are great - a nice little surprise! We had a great time and will be recommending the tiny house to our friends!

  • Barbara’s Tony house was an absolute perfect little getaway. It was very spacious even for being a tiny house. It had great amenities. Highly recommend anyone who wants to experience a tiny house this is the one to try out !

    Anthony2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • I had a blast living the tiny life! Barb provided everything you could imagine to make it a home away from home. If you’re new to the area, there’s a binder with plenty of restaurant suggestions to check out. It’s located in a beautiful, peaceful area and I’ll surely be coming back.

    Katherine2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • First experience with a tiny home and it was more than needed. The beds were so comfortable and the amenities are plenty! The host was very thoughtful and intentional with communication and recommendations, which we really appreciated. *We strongly suggest following the written out directions even though they seem cumbersome instead of putting address in GPS. For us, the GPS kept taking us through the literal forest, not a real road.* Lovely spot to stay in especially in the fall!!

    Amrith2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara is a great host. I arrived to find a plant gracing the reception table and a bowl of fresh fruit. So very welcoming. She checked in to be sure I didn’t need anything or have any questions. The fall scenery was magnificent.

  • This was our first time renting an AirBnB, and it could not have been any better! From the moment we stepped through the doorway and were greeted with banana bread, fruit, candy, and the subtle scent of wood smoke, we knew we hit the jackpot! Our hosts were close enough to respond super quickly to a very small issue, yet we had the quiet privacy of a mountain top retreat! The house was immaculate and so very warm and welcoming! The kitchen was divine! I cooked more here than I do at home!! We were able to get the R&R we were craving, yet also were close enough to many amenities if we so chose! We we definitely be visiting Timothy House again! PS...Our grandchildren loved the videos we sent them of us playing the piano!!

    Marcos Philip2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The Timothy house is a beautiful and you can tell how much love, care and pride of ownership went into the space! There was banana bread waiting for us when we arrived and it was delicious. It was an absolutely perfect place for us to host our annual writing retreat, quiet and set back from everything but still close enough to town that we could get everything we needed. We would definitely come back!

    Ali2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, home like environment, beautiful open kitchen and open floor plan, comfy couches and chairs, and quiet setting for a great night's sleep! Close to lots of shops and lots in reach for day trips to MA, VT, ME, or further up in NH. Dave and Cathy are prompt, helpful, and friendy in their responses. Timothy House is a perfect blend of quiet getaway and local accessibility for fun vacation spots!

COVID 19 PRECAUTIONS: No extra people come and go from the property, and your space is TOTALLY DISINFECTED (all bedding included) between Airbnb guests. Feel free to message with any questions. I look forward to welcoming you! Your 'trainer's suite' is a totally private room and connected full bath. Twin beds have comfy mattresses, "My Pillows", and soft, upscale linens. Coffee/tea always available. I am happy to arrange tours of the Miniature Horse barn and paddocks. Bring your camera!
The Trainer’s Suite, encompassing a bedroom and full bath, is on the private 2nd floor off of an interior walkway overlooking the open concept living areas of the house. The bedroom has comfy twin beds and room enough to plunk a child on an air mattress on the floor. The full bath, complete with skylight, is yours and yours alone. The suite is decorated with pictures, ribbons, and trophies from 55 years of equine events.
We are in a lovely, wooded residential area, where our 10 acres and 20 Miniature Horses are well hidden from the road. Summers are pleasant due to the tree canopy and location on a hill; autumns are spectacular; winters are……..well, winter, but the Town of Bow is topnotch with road care. The property is located on one of the many area deer paths, and depending on the season, you are very likely to see the wild turkeys that also use the path, and even an occasional moose or bear.
  • Cindy is a wonderful host, and the space is very cozy — clean, warm, and comfortable. Cindy was happy to let us spend some time with the horses. We’d absolutely go back. It was a truly relaxing, exceptionally pleasant stay. Thanks so much, Cindy.

  • There is a saying my husband and I use when we feel we are at an exceptional place. “Comfy,Cozy and Content “. That is what I felt at Cindy’s home. I had a great nights sleep on a very comfortable bed with an excellent pillow and sheets. Nice hot shower in the morning with great towels. I wish I had had time to have coffee in the morning that she supplies but this was a quick overnight due to a snowstorm. And she also had me park under cover so I did not have to clean my car before going to work ! Much appreciated !

  • So cute, had so much fun staying here!

  • This is a lovely, cozy place, with the smell of the woods and fresh hay. Spotlessly clean, thoughtful communication. I recommend this place highly.

  • A special place with a fabulous host...and miniature horses to boot! Everything from start to finish was a pleasure. Cindy is a clear, timely, humorous communicator. The bedroom/bathroom suite was perfect--clean, comfortable, quiet, and warm (we were there on a cold snowy winter night). We were treated to some quality time with her incredible miniature horses, which we had requested in advance (highly recommend!). She pointed us in the right direction about local restaurants and driving conditions. She went out of her way to allow us an especially early checkout time of 3:30 a.m. and thought of everything we would need for that special exit time in advance. Unless you don't like dogs (she has two sweet rescue dogs who sometimes bark briefly around strangers--but they are otherwise quiet and she is very careful to keep them away from the guest area and guest's belongings ), you will be very glad you stayed here. Cindy could not have been more helpful or gracious.

  • Cindy has the kindest heart and it will be an amazing stay!

    Stina2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Cindy is a welcoming host and her home is in a peaceful setting about 10 minutes from downtown Concord. The 2nd floor bedroom is basic with 2 separate twin beds, a closet and a dresser and the adjoining bath is large. No TV, easy chair or desk but very clean and cozy. High speed WiFi is offered. Fresh coffee and her famous pumpkin bread are a nice touch in the morning.

  • I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet place in a rural area. Nataliya's place was very comfortable, it was bigger than we expected. The toddler bed was perfect for our 4 y.o. as well as some toy available in the suite. There is a couch that was very comfortable to relax after a busy day. We appreciated thoughtful items for our use during our stay. The communication for the check-in was very clear and timely.

Come stay off the beaten path and high up on the hill! We own a 15 acre hobby farm on the shoulder of Locke’s Hill in humble Epsom, NH. Enjoy a beautiful view of the property in your own secluded space, with cozy rustic charm. Twenty minutes from concord, 35 minutes from Portsmouth, a local nano-brewery 3 miles down the road, and NH’s most popular apple orchard a skip further, there’s a lot to do and see and no better place to relax. Let us treat you to country hospitality up on the farm.
  • Can’t even express how happy my boyfriend and I were staying here! It honestly inspired us with renovations at our home, it was so clean, stylish, and homey. It even had a great view. We wish we could’ve stayed longer! The host was also amazing and gave us tips on where to eat, and also checked in on us to make sure everything went okay. We would definitely love to stay here again! Great job to the host... most definitely exceeded our expectations!

  • Ian and Meli’s place was, in our opinion, better than the pictures portrayed. Very cute, clean and stylish in-law type apartment over a garage. All the amenities were amazing and the decorations were very homey. Exactly what we hoped for during our stay in NH. Also, the Main St restaurant that was recommend had amazing food and even better service and only 12 minutes away.

    Kiera2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful apartment located on Ian’s farm! The space is extremely cozy and comfortable - a perfect place for a little getaway! We loved our time there and will definitely be back!

The carriage house is a small guest cottage just a few steps from the lake. The cottage consists of one bedroom with a queen bed, a large bathroom with shower, a full kitchen, and a great front porch with a view of the river and lake. It's in a quiet location on a private, dead end, dirt road with just three other homes. It's best suited for a single person or couple looking for a quiet escape.
The cottage is cozy, convenient to the lake, and, because the huge front porch doubles as the livingroom, is geared toward those who want to spend time outdoors. Lake access is a few steps from the front door. You can fish off the dock, bring your kayak or canoe so you can explore the lake, or simply sit by the water or campfire with a book or a glass of wine. The local country store, which has all the necessities, is 2 miles from the cottage; the nearest supermarket is 9 miles up the road. There are several good restaurants within a 15-minute drive. It's a 30-minute drive to Concord (the NH state capitol) and about 60 minutes to ocean beaches or outlet shopping in Kittery, Maine. If you're a hiker, Mount Major trails are 20 minutes away, and it's an easy day drive to the White Mountain National Forest.

This Tiny House is in a spectacular spot with a mountain view on one side and a giant granite cliff on the other. It is quiet, peaceful, with no lights or noise. It is small but has a kitchenette, bedroom in the loft, nice porch, tiny bathroom and a patio with a view of a field and mountains. Often people see deer, turkeys, a fox also. We are only 30 minutes to Concord and the Lakes Region; one hour to the ocean and an hour and a half to Boston.
This is a 'secret' hideaway, but only 3 miles from rte 93, affording shopping malls, lakes, rivers for boating, swimming and skiing. The White Mountains are an hour north for touring, hiking and climbing. There are many activities in the summer: agricultural and craft fairs, music and theatre performances, festivals of all kinds.
This land is very beautiful, varied with forests, huge granite outcroppings and fields with streams here and there. It is on a hill so has some spectacular views of the mountains. It was once farmland so stone walls run through the forest which has since grown in. There is an old graveyard nearby. My house was built in 1778 and we moved a barn here, built originally in 1780, so there is history everywhere as well.
  • We highly recommend the Tiny House! Martha was a wonder hostess! The land and view was absolutely amazing. We can’t wait to go back!!! Thanks for everything Martha!🌸💜💕

  • I came to this space for a little self-care retreat! It was the perfect container to dive inward yet also be immersed in the beautiful outdoors. I was blown AWAY by the landscape and I l loved experiencing tiny house living. Highly recommend it for the perfect little get away :-)

  • We stayed a weekend here and it was great! You have to like the outdoors, as it's similar to camping except you're in a little cabin. Bring bug spray! The place itself is fantastic and very private, with a pretty view and everything you need. I wish we could have stayed longer. Martha was really hospitable and we ended up purchasing some vegetables from her garden, which were delish.

My wife Mariana and I welcome you to stay with us in our home right on the Soucook River where you can feel “away from it all” just 4 miles from Downtown Concord NH. We have three guest rooms in our house. This room has a view of the river and queen bed. I am a designer/sculptor. My studio is here on the property so we live and work here. I will be around to help you with any questions. You are welcome to use the kitchen, living room, kayaks, campfire ring, etc...All is shared except your room.
The Hidden Gem room has a view of the river and a queen bed. It is ideal for couples but can comfortably sleep one. We also have a cot you can set up if you are a group of three. (third person fee $20) Our house is on a hill over the river so in this second floor bedroom you feel like you are in the treetops. If you are traveling for work there is also a desk in the room and high speed wireless internet. In the kitchen we have a coffee nook, stocked with coffee and tea and fruit, which you are welcome to. When our little flock of chickens are laying, you are also welcome to fresh eggs in the morning! The river is beautiful and private. You can swim and kayak with our three kayaks in the summer. or enjoy watching the snow fall from our living room where there is a cozy wood stove we run through the fall and winter. There is a deck off of the kitchen in the back of the house where we keep a gas grill you can use. And there are two fire pits in the back yard, plenty of wood to have a campfire. If you are staying longer with us, there is also laundry in the basement. We have a small friendly parrot, Carmen, who is our only inside pet and a sweet little flock of chickens that free range in the back. Mariana is an interpreter, bilingual in Spanish (originally from Mexico) and English and I have been a full time artist for 10 years.
We are nestled in an unusual spot. We are in a one acre plot along the river and conservation land, so although we have malls and businesses all around us you would never know when you are here. It is peaceful and private on the property, while very close to Concord. Although we are in the town of Pembroke we are much closer to Concord. We are only 4 miles to Main Street Concord and 1 mile from the Steeplegate Mall area where there are groceries, Starbucks, Target, Walmart, Best Buy, etc...
  • Nice place to stay within budget.

  • We loved our winter getaway at Debra’s! We came up to do some hiking and see the ice castles and it was so nice to be able to come back to such a cozy and welcoming place! We had everything we needed and then some! With our own kitchen area we had the option to make some meals versus go out. We were only 40 mins. or so from North Woodstock and it was mostly highway, which made for a really easy ride. So many amazing winter views! Also very close to the outlets and grocery stores, etc. as needed. Definitely also check out the elk farm as well! This location is also not too far from the lakes or Loudon and if we had time we would have explored and hiked more! Thank you Debra! All of your little touches of coffee/tea/water needs and small snacks showed how much you care for your guests! We hope you have a great rest of your winter!

    Jim2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay here for the week and a half timeframe between selling our house in CT and moving in to our new house in NH. Deb’s place is very cute and has all the amenities you need. Any time we had a question, Deb got back to us very quickly, which we really appreciated. And we LOVED the homemade cookies that Deb left for us - it was such a nice surprise after a long tiring day of moving! Great place to stay, highly recommend!

    Jennifer2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Come and go was very private, Deb's place was stocked with everything you would need for an extended stay. Wish we were there in the summer to take advantage of the pool.

  • We have stayed at Debra and Dave’s place many times so naturally we are very satisfied with their little guest house. Everything is clean and cozy. There is everything you need for your visit. I really don’t like saying how nice it is because I want to be able to go there whenever we want to visit our grandkids. It has become our home away from home.

    Elaine2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place was amazing! Very warm and cozy. The area was exactly what we were looking for. Nice and quiet but still close to the action. The nature was beautiful. Everything was a lot closer than we had expected. No place we had to go was more than a 15 minute drive. Debra was very nice! Everything we needed was in the home. I’d stay here every time I go to NH!

They kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms are equipped with anything you could possibly need, and the space is well appointed. We would absolutely stay again should the opportunity present itself.

  • My friends and I stayed for a weekend trip for my birthday! We had an amazing time at Peters house and Gunstock mountain (very close). The view from the living room/porch is breathtaking! Would recommend to anyone and would definitely stay again! Peter was great and responded super fast.

Modern lines and minimalist decor highlighting the beautiful outdoors of New Hampshire make this room in a sometimes shared apartment feel like camping with all the amenities of an urban location. We have a 6 car driveway, a medium sized, fenced in yard for energetic pups and kids to run around in, and are only a half a mile from the down town strip. This room is one of two listings we have on AirBnB, both are part of an apartment above ours, and are available for simultaneous rentals if you PM
Our other listing is another bedroom in the same apartment. DM me for rental options for both units!
We are less than a mile from the downtown strep, the walk includes beautiful churches and parks. There are corner stores with basic amenities nearby, and a Bagel Cafe open until mid afternoon less than a block away
  • Very nice

  • A spacious place in a town with amazing restaurants filled with fun people

    Elizabeth2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • The room/bathroom/kitchen all are clean and amazingly spacious, bed is very cozy, it got a little cold the first night but my room had a portable heater, only took 10 minutes to warm up. There’s a tv with HDMI cable so if you bring a laptop you can watch Netflix. Location is great, less than a mile to downtown, bus stop less than a block away. There is a convenience store and asian market right around the corner, and a bagel shop for breakfast. Very quiet, only two rooms on the floor. Real good value for money! 5 stars stay and 5 stars host.

This is a pet-friendly, rustic studio appartment in a perennial garden with private entrance, private bath, and kitchenette with functional antique farm sink about a half mile from downtown Concord and walking distance to everything, including Main Street shopping and award-winning restaurants. If you have questions about availability, please email me at dragonflystudio55@gmail.com.
This studio is a remodeled carriage house, part of a New Englander built in the 1890s. This space is less than a mile from Downtown Concord yet is nestled in a quiet perennial garden.
Remember to park 5ft from any driveway entrance or intersection. *NOTE*: New Hampshire winters can be severe and the weather unpredictable. We keep the walkways as clear as possible, but it is important for you to be prepared for snow, ice, and mud. Please bring appropriate shoes for this weather. Occasionally, there are emergency parking bans during which you will need to use the map we provide from the City of Concord website to choose a suitable and lawful parking place on the street. There are also parking garages downtown in which you may park for free from 8am-8pm. We are not responsible for your vehicle or for parking tickets/towing. Please use the postings on the City of Concord website and the WMUR website to receive postings about inclement weather and parking safety. Our neighborhood is walking distance to town with restaurants, shopping, theaters, and several parks. Concord is our state capital so you could also tour the state building. We have a beautiful bookshop downtown, Gibson’s, and the library is walking distance as well. There are several walks you can take as you step off our property, especially if you like strolling passed older, historic homes and buildings. If you take your dog along for your walking adventure, be sure to take along the bags we provide as picking up after your dog is a law in New Hampshire. Pedestrians also have the right-of-way and once you step into those white lines, cars must stop for you. If you have questions about availability, please email me at dragonflystudio55@gmail.com.

This colonial style New England home is located right off Rte 106 in Belmont. It is centrally located for easy access to Laconia, Gunstock and the lakes. Enjoy a quiet setting with a big back yard and extra indoor space with a downstairs family room.
There is a Circle K a few doors down for anything you may have forgot.
  • We had a great stay at Mike's place, four of us had a great relaxing night away. We were able to use the kitchen to make snacks which seemed to have all of the essentials, pots/pans/utensils! The kitty was super sweet and spent the night with us!

    Molly2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great host. Great value.

    Kara2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Mike's place was great and close to the Gunstock ski mountain which was the reason for our trip. It was even larger than the pictures made it seem. I recommend this house to anyone staying in the area.

    Andres2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Nice, big and clean house in a great location. We really enjoyed the big kitchen and did a lot of cooking during our visit. Missing a couple amenities like a hair dryer and some kitchen tools, but everything that you need is there for the most part. There is a cat, but he’s friendly and keeps to himself.

    Laura2020-02-17T00:00:00Z

Described by guests as a waterfront paradise, this is a 12 X 12 foot Tiny House room 20 feet from the shore of the Merrimack River in New Hampshire. Comfortable, affordable and rustic with easy access to all the area has to offer. Hiking, snow and water skiing, the ocean, Boston; all within a one hour drive. Only 4 miles to the center of Manchester and Concord is only 12 miles North. We are just off the highway so finding us is easy. A peaceful and convenient place to rest in the center of NH.
The room has large 4 foot by 5 foot sliding windows on all four sides. Several can be opened to let the cool prevailing breeze flow through. They can also be closed during cooler days. An electric heater and a propane fireplace are provided for heat but there is no air conditioning. Your private bathroom is just a few feet away in a separate building. Be aware that the toilet is a COMPOSTING TOILET. That means that it does not use water and does not flush. Instead you will pour wood shavings onto the bottom of the toilet when finished. This toilet works very well and does not smell. We use this type of toilet because we are very close to the river and want to be environmentally safe. Access to the water is available from May 1st through October 31 or as weather allows. Please note that there is no lifeguard and you will swim at your own risk (this is what the lawyer says I must state). Water access is via a stairway which leads to the shoreline or to the dock. As a public waterway there are boats and other water craft passing by during the day. Keep in mind that the Tiny House is part of my back yard. It is about 50 feet from our patio but has its own private patio with a grill and farmers sink with hot and cold running water during summer months only. You may hear us as we sit on our patio overlooking the river while we eat and socialize, but you can't see us from your patio. Feel free to come by and say hello.
We live on 2.5 acres of land with plenty of space between our neighbors and us. The Tiny house has its own waterfront and a dock is available during the summer to sit and enjoy the view.
  • Steve’s tiny house was fantastic! Waking up to the sunrise across the Merrimack River was something out of a dream. Being so close to the highway is super convenient to find nearby trails and places to eat. We look forward to booking again in the warmer months to enjoy the river! :)

Basic, clean accommodations in residential neighborhood. Near to skiing and mountain-biking. Comfortable for short stays by 1-2 persons, and small well-behaved pets. Coded private entrance opening onto deck and backyard with 1 acre of steep forest access to the Winnipesaukee River Trail. Cozy room (9’x16’) with full-size futon/sofa and private bath. Has separate heating/AC, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee/tea, WiFi, bedding/towels/essentials. Enjoy our 500-DVD collection of movies and TV shows.
Well-behaved pet(s) okay. We do ask for an additional $5 per pet, which will be charged when you accept our revised booking. (We have one large, timid dog downstairs; two cats upstairs who never venture elsewhere.) Bikes, kayaks, etc. can be stored on the enclosed, unlocked front porch. Gas grill is available for use in summer and fall. The public Winnipesaukee River Trail, currently 7 miles long, runs through the property (via easement). A private, fairly steep zig-zag path down a hill to the river trail, affording immediate access to walking, running, etc., is easily accessible.
Residential neighborhood just up the hill from downtown Franklin. Several neighbors, but the back yard and deck are nice and private. The house next door is currently abandoned after suffering a fire.
  • Convenient to downtown. Walking trail along the Winnipesauke River behind the house. Comfortable, warm and clean. Well lit walkway for night entry. Off street parking.
