  • Absolutely recommended !! The host is most warm and welcoming and could not do enough to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The house is extra special and was perfect for our party. So close to the city and with many extra special touches this elegant property is now firm in our hearts. From the minute we arrived to the day we left Mark was on hand for any questions and made us feel so welcome. This may need to be an annual trip as we miss being there already.

  • Great place to stay hosts can't do enough for you. Definitely worth another stay

    Valerie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was very clean. They were a lot of nice little touches. There was cereal, tea, coffee and milk, which my son loved. They even put the word welcome onto the pillows in our bedroom. They offered us the use of the fire pit and the hot tub but we were too tired to use them. It was only 13 minutes for us to get to Belfast which was great. I loved that it had parking. There was a really cute Game of Thrones comforter set on my sons bed. They were quick to answer any questions that we had and they offered suggestions on places to eat. We actually listened to Brendan and went to Saint George’s market and had a great breakfast this morning. Thanks for everything

    Helena2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely wonderful wee spot. Cabin plenty of room and so tidy and cosy. The fire pit was beautiful, we used it for a bbq even in wet windy weather as its in a lovely wee shed. The heated swimming pool looked spectacular, excellent size, we didn't use on this visit but look forward to getting back againto use. Service from the hosts was excellent, couldn't have done enough for us. Thankyou for a wonderful stay

    Diane2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Top 5 Best Things About The Place 1. The fire pit for roasting marshmallows. 2. Fire pit/Snug 3. They have beautiful friendly cats 4. The apartment has Netflix enabled 4K ultra HD TV and WiFi 5. The lovely little cooked breakfast they brought to us. Handmade croissants with bacon and cheese, delicious Oh and there is one more! 6. The 3 mtr thermal spa in the The host is definitely a super host: friendly, attentive, and couldn’t do enough for us. You need need to tell them whether you want to use the thermal spa and snug ahead of your stay, so they ensure there is charcol for the snug, and they’ll heat the thermal spa for you too, keep it nice and hot ahead of using it. The home is perfectly situated. It’s a short walk from the whitehouse which serve up delicious meals for £6 or under. The restaurant ia through the bottom bar and up the spiral staircase. If you go on a sunday youll be in for a treat but be warned, ask fot a small portion, if you’re like me and don’t eat huge dinners, Youll never finish a large one lol. You’re also a 5-min stroll to hazelbank country park & beach with a good 3 mile costal walk if you’re into that. The park provides picnic tables for the summer with ample parking.

  • Louise’s place is a great location. We were able to visit nearby Carrickfergus Castle. We also took a train into Belfast for a visit. The home itself is well laid out with modern conveniences. It is a working farm, so it is interesting to see the tractors and sheep and be out in a rural setting. It was nice and quiet and away from the city, but close to grocery store. The kids loved the great selection of videos. Louise has great travel information. Her instructions to her place were extremely easy to follow. We had some circumstances that didn’t work exactly as planned as far as checking in, but we did get things worked out. We would stay here again.

Warm and comfortable double room and separate single room in our cosy little cottage with Breakfast, Wifi and Netflix privided by experienced and trustworthy superhosts with over 300 reviews. Only 25 minutes from Belfast, a mile and a half (2.4Km) on the hill above the centre of Carrickfergus. It's not for everyone but it's perfect for those who want to be out of town and away from the hassle of the city centre. Easy off streat parking and a great way to start or end your Causeway Coast road.
Three great reasons guests love about our charming little cottage are: - Spacious and Clean - You can read all the previous reviews of how clean and spacious the private bedrooms are and how clean the shared bathroom is. - Comfortable bed - Most of my guests comment on the good night’s sleep they had -Attention to detail - We have been hosting for over 3 years now and have over 300 positive reviews. Yes, we were doing this before Airbnb was really a thing, and we try to think of your travelling needs when you stay with us. Guests mention it in their reviews about the 'extra touches' that made their stay extra special like us offering bottled water by your bed and a continental breakfast to all guests Two items my guests sometimes wish was different: - Shared home - Jim and I will be your housemate during your stay, Jim works from home, and our bathroom is shared and next door to the single room. But the main bedroom has its own TV, Wifi, Netflix etc and you'll be the only guests staying so you get plenty of privacy. - Not in the centre of town - But a very short 5 minute drive down the hill and we will try and give you lifts to local bars and restaurants when needed but our home does work best if you have a car. You get to look at the sheep in the field opposite the bedroom & know your car is safe in our drive behind the cottage. We have cosy & comfortable double room for 2 and a single room for 1, with a shared bathroom in our 1940's cottage, a mile and a half from Carrickfergus on the hill overlooking Belfast Lough. It's perfect for those who want to be 25 minutes from Belfast but in a slightly quieter area on the edge of Carrickfergus. The window overlooks the garden and towards green fields which at the moment have some big fluffy sheep in them. If the day is wet there is a TV in your room with 62 channels plus Netflix, Catch Up BBC & Digital Radio etc and here is free high speed BT infinity fiber optic WiFi. Also you are welcome to use our washing machine & tumble dryer to freshen up. Parking is down private lane to the rear of the rear of the cottage and is safe and secure. RATES: Prices vary depending on the season and number of guests.
Milebush is a suburb of Carrickfergus on the spectacular Causeway Coastal route that connects Belfast to Londonderry/Derry and the cottages are on the edge of town beside the greenbelt so overlooks fields with some rather fluffy looking sheep from the front and private gardens with parking to the rear so it's the perfect location if you would like to be near Belfast (25 minutes by car) but at the same time to be away from the hustle of the city. The neighbours in the adjoining cottages are mainly retired and the area is laid back, safe and friendly. The town centre is down the hill towards the nearly 900 year old Norman castle, roughly a mile and a half from us, where is there is a good selection of bars & restaurants. Make sure to check out the 16th Century Dobbins for a pint or a cocktails at Swifts at the harbour. Friday nights, hit the Karaoke in Ownie's Bar in the Scotch Quarter of the town and if you are on a budget drop into Wetherspoons' Central Bar in High St for one of their meal and a drink deals that start from £5. For those with a sweet tooth, try Seasons Coffee Shop a few minutes walk from the cottage for their Mars Bar Scones or for cool treats there is Morelli's ice cream in Oakland Park only 5 minutes walk or in the town centre go to Mauds Ice Cream parlour for their Choccy Bear ice cream is amazing!
  • Alan and Jim were the most welcoming of hosts! My friend and I had a really lovely time at their place - it was very comfortable, warm, and Alan and Jim had added the cutest touches around the house.

  • The house offers spectacular views of the bay and we found it to be a good location for exploring the local area. There was so much room at the house that we were happy to spend time there as well. Communication with Charlotte was really good and check-in was nice and easy. Having the cot bed made up for us before we arrived was a nice touch. We had such a positive experience we'd definitely like to visit again.

    Andrew2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The house was lovely and Charlotte and Michael were great hosts! We had a little problem with the heat when we first arrived and they made sure to send somebody over within the hour to fix it. Check in was a breeze and they were super responsive to all of our messages and made sure our stay was comfortable! The house itself is very comfortable and the view is breathtaking. I would highly recommend to anybody looking for a place to stay in Northern Ireland!

  • We had a perfect stay at Lilia’s place - nice place, tasty breakfast and lovely hosts, definitely recommended.

    Lennert2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lilia's home was absolutely beautiful, it was spacious, homely and inspiring, loved the wooden interior and beams, full of interesting decor, furnishings and cosy nooks! Lilia was an amazing host and made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. The generosity of her hospitality was outstanding! The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful!! Loved the views from our rooms and all the live activity amongst the chickens, hens and roosters! The backdrop of hills and sheep just added to the outlook. The location was very quiet and peaceful, near to Carrick beach and just a few miles from Carrickfergus and the castle. Lilia gave lots of helpful suggestions for exploring the local area. Would highly recommend Fox Heaven (such a great name!) and would love to stay again if back in the area.

    Ann2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Foxhaven B and B is a charming two-story home. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, bathrooms are warm and clean and Liliana was gracious, methodical and fastidious. The full Irish breakfast were served in the downstairs kitchen at the time of our choosing. We departed for touring after breakfast and returned after dark. Liliana assisted us with reheating our take away food. We slept well in the peace and quiet.

    Gregory2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Best BnB, hands down! The location is beautiful and a stone’s throw from the train station, very convenient. Lilia is incredibly thoughtful and goes above and beyond to make everyone’s stay as pleasant as possible. She woke up extra early to make a special breakfast for us and gave us helpful recommendations. The space is homey and the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. Can’t wait to come back!

We were blown away at how spacious clean and tidy the place was and the hosts couldn’t have done more to make our stay memorable and special! There were so many little touches and extra bits that made our stay so memorable and comfortable. We’ve stayed in many air bnbs in the past and can says without a doubt this is the best place we’ve stayed so far. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

  • Clean, nicely furnished and equipped Airbnb. Can’t find any faults with this at all. 5* experience

    Sue2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • A beautifully clean, modern and well appointed 3 bed room house with everything you could possibly need for a pleasant and comfortable stay. We were a large party with two small children in tow and Michael (we didn't see Sarah) provided all the children's essentials as well. I might add that this amazing hospitality was provided with approx 15 hours notice as another AirBnB host had let us down at the last minute. Thank you both. We have no hesitation in giving 5* in all categories.

    Mary2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • The house was perfect for us. Just how it looked In the pictures. Very clean, Easy communication with the hosts. Nice quiet area. Lovely little hamper basket. Would definitely stay here again.

    Anthony2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Don't look any further. You won't find a better value or cleaner home than this one. Michael and Sarah are fantastic people. They're very close but not at all in a hovering way. They have GREAT suggestions on local food, things to do, the cab company. The house is extremely comfortable and you'll be hard pressed to find a cleaner Airbnb. Their welcome pack is loaded with goodies. One of them will greet you just to show you around. Then, as Michael said, they'll love ya and leave ya. We can't recommend the property enough. Just book it! You won't regret it!

A delightful thatched cottage with all the modern facilities you will require. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other with two singles. The outside space has a wooden barbecue hut, and a children's playhouse, both set in a private garden. There's a private parking space at the front of the house. All guests are met with a tray of fresh local produce.
  • Absolute gem. Beautiful cottage a short walk from Carrickfergus. Lovely comfortable beds. Plenty of clothing storage. Spotlessly clean, well stocked kitchen equipment. Possibly the most important, a washing machine with a tumble dryer. Antrim can have some sharp showers! Having previously read the reviews, I had a good idea what to expect and this place didn't disappoint. Staying in a thatched cottage in February we weren't sure how warm the place would be, but there were no worries, is was cosy even through Storm Ciara. If you're thinking of staying in Carrickfergus, give this place a try, you'll love staying in this cottage.

    Susan2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This warm and welcoming cottage exceeds all expectations! Lovely decor and extremely well appointed with all that visitors need to self-cater. This was our second time staying here and we hope to be back.

    Mary Jo2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place 20 minutes from Belfast. Charming, friendly and exotic, this cottage is a perfect place to go to meet Northern Ireland. Alan and Liz were very responsive and accommodating on our check-in time and to advise us. I highly recommend this place.

    Laurent2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely cottage! We were in Carrickfergus to see family and used the cottage as our home base. It is well located and full of charm. SO much attention to detail and homey touches throughout made for a wonderful stay. We were met upon arrival by Stanley who showed us around and made us feel at home with a welcome basket. We like to self-cater and the kitchen is amazing - well stocked with pots and pans and utensils for real cooking. The sitting area has a electric fire "wood stove" that was charming and made the room comfortable. A deep soaking tub is the centerpiece in the large main bathroom - what luxury. The main bedroom was comfortable and the upstairs sleeping area was just perfect for our adult son to have his own space and bathroom.

    Mary Jo2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • The stay at Alan was terrific. The fridge was already filled with staple foods. We had forgotten something in the accommodation after departure, which was immediately forwarded to us. Just great!

  • This accommodation is outstanding, just as it appears in the photos but still manages to exceed expectations once you're there. The views over Belfast Lough were amazing, and being able to sit looking over the busy waterway was fabulous. Maxine is a wonderful host, she really knows how to present her property and meeting Maxine was a delight. Wonderful suggestions on getting around, shopping and eating in Carrickfergus. Clearly an experienced host, and we highly recommend. Would love to return.

  • Carrickfergus is easily accessible to central Belfast by bus and train, so leave your car at Ahoy 3. Carrickfergus itself is very much worth exploring particularly the Castle. The apartment is extremely comfortable with a fantastic view from the living area across the Marine Park to Belfast Lough. Local cafes, shops and pub are just doors away. Maxine is a great host, meeting with us and showing us the place as well as giving us some tips about our few days in Belfast.

We had spent a lot of our time in Ireland in the car travelling to visit family and tourist attractions so it was very welcome to stay in the heart of Carrickfergus where local amenities were close enough to walk to. Maxine was very welcoming, kind and eager to ensure we had everything we needed.

  • lovely space ideal for a couple, the hot tub in the rain was a great experience and made us feel so relaxed before our night out in banjor which from the place was a beautiful walk along the coast, highly recommend

  • Denise was a great host. Communication about check in was prompt and concise and the property was as expected from previous reviews- the hot tub was amazing! Thanks for everything and look forward to returning at some point!

  • Great little property, shame it was too cold for the hot tub but hopefully next time.

  • Booked this as a wee getaway night to go out in Bangor. Denise is an incredibly helpful host. Responds to everything immediately. The studio is beautiful. Modern and clean with everything in it and a lot of extras. The hot tub is an added bonus to relax in. Would definitely return again.

Our space is a cosy little nook located on the peninsula of picturesque Islandmagee. You will find the views across the lough and the Game of Thrones set mesmerising and uninterrupted. Within the space is a snug wood burning stove to nestle up next to after a day out sightseeing. Close by is brownsbay beach and portmuck harbour. The reopened Gobbins cliff walk is a 5 mins drive away. Local amenities include Larne and Whitehead golf club. The small town of Whitehead is a ten minutes drive.
  • Emma and Stephen are amazing hosts. They helped us out with everything we needed. The place is gorgeous with mesmerizing surroundings. We'll definitely return!

    Irina2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Emma’s little cosy getaway. It truly is in the middle of nowhere which was perfect for our Ireland adventure. Emma was the perfect host who found a hairbrush for me when I forgot one and also helped us light the fire which was very welcome during an incredibly windy Storm Dennis! The recommendations for restaurants were really useful and we had an incredible meal at Billy Andys. The space is cosy but there are lots of blankets and cushions to make it homely too. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Airbnb to our friends looking for a getaway on the beautiful coastline as there are some stunning beaches nearby and it is less than an hour from Belfast. Thanks Emma!x

  • Lovely, cosy cottage in beautiful landscape. Great place to chill out and enjoy Northern Ireland's nature. The Host is extremely nice and helpful. Highly recommended!

    Mikolaj2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Emma's guest suite was perfect!! We decided to do a little spontaneous getaway trip on Friday morning from Dublin and got Emma's response very quick. When we arrived in the evening, the little oven was already on and candles lit, so we felt comfortable from the very first second. Emma put a lot of love and heart in all the details, and the communication was perfect and without any problems. We would recommend this place to everyone, if you look for the perfect stay while discovering the north of Ireland.

    Kathrin2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay in a great location with everything that you need. Emma is very attentive and thoughtful and is a great help with anything that you may need. Many thanks!

  • Emma was extremely communicative, easy to contact, and they've done such a nice job with the space. Wood fireplace was a nice touch, plus the cats that hang around the property. :) We'll be back to Islandmagee!

    Jake2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place, clean, good location, very comfortable. No wifi so communication difficult for us who did not have a cell. We enjoyed our stay at Emma.

    Mig2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Emma's place was absolutely incredible. very comfortable and charming. We arrived on friday night and the room was warm with the fireplace. Emma made sure to look after us in the best way possible! Sincerely the best place we ever stayed while travelling around the country and we will definitely come back to visit again. There is a pub around 15 minutes drive recommended by her with awesome live music. I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you so much Emma for the hospitality, you have a beautiful place!

  • I love this Airbnb! The Loft is indeed spacious and stylish, it’s also located in a really beautiful part of the countryside (but still just a short drive from Belfast). Communication with the host Margaret was quick and easy, and she was very accommodating of my bizarre travel schedule. I was delighted with the place anyway, but the breakfast provisions in the fridge absolutely made my day - a thoughtful and generous touch. I would definitely be happy to stay here again, or recommend it to others.

Clean, fresh, spacious, comfortable double room just 1/2 a mile from the train station and less than a mile to the coast and famous Carrickfergus castle, beautiful marina and quaint town centre. I have been an Airbnb host since early May 2018 and pleased that I have had very good feedback from my guests. I am confident you will have an enjoyable, relaxed stay and certainly a warm welcome. I do not provide breakfast, however you are welcome to help yourself to toast or cereal if you so wish.
Very quiet area with distant sea views from the garden

  • At Maxine's you can expect a wonderful welcome, a clean home, comfort. I feel I struck gold when I walked in to her Airbnb!

    Cindy2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Maxine's place is in a lovely location right on the sea and next to all of the shops of Carrickfergus. She greeted me when I arrived and was very helpful in getting me checked in. There's a bus stop a few meters from the front door, so you can get to Belfast easily if you don't have a car. A train station is about a 10 minute walk and will get you to various parts of NI.

    Ken2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Maxine was a great host. Everything was as advertised. Flat right next to a ice cream shop:)

    Murray2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Maxine's apartment is perfect! Everything you need for a long or short stay, walking distance from the centre of Carrickfergus. And only 5min walk from the train to Belfast. We were surprised how much there was to do in the area, and easily could have stayed 4 or 5 nights. Maxine was full of great tips and advice on what's good in the area.

    Brigid2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great location on Carrick waterfront (and right next to Maud's ice cream!), clean and comfortable, highly recommended.

  • Fantastic location, wonderful place, and an out of this world host. Looked after us from arrival to departure! Will be back very soon!

    Nick2016-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Maxine greeted us at the apartment even though we were at least an hour earlier than she expected - our fault. She quickly put us at ease with a warm smile. Maxine was great! You will not find a more responsive host! The apartment looked nicer than the photos. The location near a bus or train that takes you right into Belfast was very convenient. There is a castle nearby! Also grocery stores and, if you have kids you are near a first class playgound, ball field etc. Good restaurants close by which was handy because my wife had hurt her knee a week before. In addition the apartment is very quiet with the bedroom away from the street. At one point we needed something softer on the bed and Maxine was over promptly to take care of it. This was the best Airbnb we have stayed in since coming to Europe 2 months ago.

My home is situated 1 mile from the quaint village of Crawfordsburn and 1 mile from Bangor. It is a well presented 3 bed semi detached home within close proximity to a range of tourist attractions and within walking distance to Carnalea Golf Club and many delightful coastal walks. The train halt and bus stop are only a short stroll away to make commuting very easy. The City airport is only a 15 minute drive away and the International 40. Very well behaved dogs are welcome to stay.
The accommodation is a double room with wardrobe space and also use of bedside drawers. There is a TV in the room and tea/coffee making facilities.
Crawfordsburn Cottage is set at the top of a quiet close of 15 houses off the Crawfordsburn Road, Bangor. There is very little traffic - mostly just the residents. The area is a much sought after location to live in in North Down and is a safe neighboourhood.

  • Maxine's house is fabulous. We came with three children aged between 11 and 3. There was plenty of room for us all and we felt at home straight away. Maxine was very quick to answer any questions and made us feel very comfortable. The house was perfectly situated for us right in the centre of Carrick. It had everything we needed and we were sorry to leave.

  • Had such a nice stay with my Mum and Grandma. House is stunning and very big. Actually we misjudged just how big it is. You could comfortably fit 6 people here. Carrickfergus is also a decent base for exploring Northern Ireland. We might yet return!!

  • The house looks very unimpressive from the outside but already directly in the hall you can see that you have found a gold treasure. All rooms are lovingly furnished and we felt very comfortable. The best thing is the large living room with a wonderful view of the sea! The kitchen is great and you even had a nice place to grill in the garden. This property is honestly more than recommended !! :)

The location is great as it is only about 15 minutes from Belfast but also on the Causeway coastal route for those wishing to do the tourist things. We will definitely stay again and would recommend it to others.

  • We enjoyed a lovely stay at Ashleigh's house - great location, parking out front, spotless, warm and cosy. Our toddler very much enjoyed the toys Ashleigh very thoughtfully left out for him and we enjoyed the comforts of a home from home.

The room has a 4' 6" double bed, which sleeps two people comfortably. This room is the smaller of the 2 rooms available to Airbnb guests. There is a latch lock on the inside door but it can't be locked from the outside. It will suit travellers, Business Professionals and short-stay visitors to the historical city of Belfast. The room is carpeted, has a gas heated radiator for warmth and overlooks my rear enclosed garden, which is south facing so enjoys the Sun (when it shines).
This room is in a owner part-occupied home. The room is clean, bright and spacious enough for a 4'6" Double Bed. The house is compact, with a good size living room, kitchen and shower/bathroom. Guests have access to all parts of the house and facilities. There's an enclosed front and rear garden, which you can also make use of on a sunny day. There is a secure front of house parking space.
The house is situated in the Graymount area of North Belfast, accessible by regular local bus services, 5 minutes walk from the house. Travel time to the City Centre (3 miles) on local transport takes 10 mins. The area is a settled part of North Belfast, quiet and convenient to Cavehill Country Park, the north foreshore of Belfast Lough for walks and cycling, M2 motorway, local services and Fort William Golf Course. The house provides off-street parking, front and rear garden (South facing) and sits on a quiet cul-de-sac. While the area would have historically seen troubling times during the NI Conflict it is generally considered a quiet area and my own experience of living here for many years confirms this. The house is clean, has all mod cons and would suit guests who would prefer a quieter location while still being readily accessible to the City Centre and other areas. You can leave the house and walk up Grays Lane and be in Cavehill Country Park in less than 15 minutes or down on the very scenic Belfast Lough for walks along the coastline. Graymount is a traditionally Protestant suburban settled area of the City, which shares a Peace Line with the Whitewell area. While it has experienced community conflict over the years it has been trouble free 99% of the time for over 15 years. However, it is important to let guests know that with it being a predominantly Protestant area this should be acknowledged, as with any other areas of Belfast in which one religious group is more prevalent in the community. The area has become more mixed over the years but like most of NI one religion or the over still makes up 90% of most communities. While I'm of no particular religious persuasion and welcome people of all faiths (or none) I'd recommend that you consider your own levels of religious and political comfort if considering staying in the area. While there are few remaining signs of the conflict in this community it is nonetheless still an area which reflects the Protestant community rather than the Catholic community. If the history of the Troubles is not an issue for you then staying here will be as enjoyable as any other suburban area of the City. The area is very quiet and peaceful, with access to some great local sites to enjoy. You can be guaranteed a warm welcome if you exercise some discretion in Belfast and where I live is no different.

We feel we are set off the beaten track and so can offer a peaceful and quite setting. Yet we are only half an hours drive from The City of Belfast and at the foot of the Antrim Coastal Paths.
  • Very clean, really nice host and good location for Belfast and surrounding areas. Thanks

  • We spent a splendid Christmas at Diane’s cottage and were made very comfortable by her thoughtfulness and generosity (leaving out toys for our infant, stocking the fridge, responding quickly to questions, etc.) The rooms fit our family of four and were cheery, though we were sorry the winter weather kept us from the garden. Can recommend.

    Nichols2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet location ,off the beaten track but with easy access to Carrickfergus and Belfast. House has everything you need and communication was excellent.

    Andrew2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant location which was perfect for our family of 4. We had other family members round for dinner and were able to accommodate them. It was a bonus to have an en-suite. The accommodation had everything we needed and Diane had also left toys which were perfect for our 2 year old. He loved playing with the toys and running around in the garden. We ate in the cottage in the evenings and everything you need was supplied in the kitchen as well as some supplies in the cupboard just in case. We will definitely return when visiting family again, it was perfect for us. Diane and her family were brilliant hosts, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Look out for the swans on the wall so you don’t miss the turning into the cottage!

    Lynne2019-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is lovely accommodation, clean and comfy. The heating warmed the place quickly and the bath and showers were luxurious. Milk, butter and other provisions were provided for our arrival, which was really appreciated. There’s a nice wee garden that our children could play in, and chickens and sheep to add to the atmosphere. It’s not too far from Larne or Ballycarry. We had a great time. Thanks.

  • Lovely place not far from the Causeway Coast and beautiful Islandmagee. Beautifully clean, warm and very comfy indeed. Was also great for my mum and dad who are in their 70s and find mobility a little more difficult than they used to!

A great place on your way to the Giant's Causeway or beautiful Antrim Coast. The property is a few minutes’ walk from local shops, bank machine, off-licence, the famous “Rinkha” icecream shop and a 10 minute walk from the Gobbins Visitor Centre and Ballycarry Railway Station Ballycarry. 5 minute drive from Whitehead Railway Station, 10 from Browns Bay beach, 30 from Belfast, Belfast International Airport and 40 minutes from Belfast International Airport. Very quiet location, very friendly neighbours. In the spring, summer and autumn you can constantly hear and see birds in the area from the nearby forest. Please note that the Gobbins Tourist attraction has been closed to the public since early June due to a rock fall. Should it be closed when you are here, you can also visit Blackhead Path in Whitehead, which is also very beautiful as it is a path at sea level, with steps up to the Lighthouse. This attraction is from the same (Victorian) period as the Gobbins and it is free.
