“In an unlikely location on the main road between Castiglione and Chiusi, Michele's large patisserie cum snack bar is a favourite among locals and visitors alike. Their Neapolitan chef makes the best rum babà's ever, and their torta al formaggio (an Easter specialty which is fact made all year round) is also very good. They are open all day and a good place for savoury as well as sweet snacks.”

“This is a true secret local spot of the locals and you won't find it in any books. From the front its just an Olive Wood shop but you have to go to the back of the shop to find a doorway to a secret small restaurant, perfect for lunch. Order the platter and you will get a platter of meat, cheese and wine fro under 10 Euros. Now there are a few olive wood shops (all owned by the same people) but the one you want is closest to the tourist information board.”
