“Pan-Asian restaurant, relaxing Zen atmosphere, fun bar in the back and lovely outdoor space. The dumplings are scrumptious and the Korean fried chicken appetizer is the best fried chicken I have ever eaten. Gourmet Magazine rated it one of the top 50 restaurants in the U.S. Andrea Reusing the chef won the James Beard award. Reservations recommended. This is our go to nice dinner spot.”

“Top of the Hill is a Chapel Hill classic. Hit them up for dinner or for brunch on the weekends. Definitely call ahead and see if you can get a seat on the patio outside where you can take in a panoramic view of Franklin Street from their third story vantage point. ”

“Another amazing local gem two blocks from our Airbnb! Originally founded by Sara Foster (Martha Graham's right-hand woman), this cafe serves scrumptious breakfast & lunch fare, including baked goods, soups, and homemade pizza. Grab a bottle of wine for a good price, or take out a thick slice of lasagna. Also good for hanging out and people watching.”

“Tiny lunch spot tucked on Main St in Carrboro. I love this spot. Seen on Diners, Drive-in's and Dives it is known for their house made Pastrami but I love their tuna salad and soups”

“It's a coffee/ tea shop that also sells sodas, kombucha, some sandwiches, bagels, chocolates, and even some pieces of fruit. They sometimes have local musical talent on the weekends. Indoor and outdoor seating. Laptops users welcome here. They do have games of various kinds that you can play or perhaps an engaging conversation is more fun to you? And, on good weather Sunday afternoons you might find some Ole Timey musicians outside playing, starting around 2 PM.”

“Great for breakfast and lunch. Merritt's is locally owned and super delicious. They're famous for their BLTs, try one on marble rye or sourdough. Don't sleep on their homemade desserts, either. They can be a little crowded around lunch time, but definitely worth the wait. Outdoor seating, pet friendly, closed on Mondays.”
