“For a small fee (15ish per car), you may enter Assateague Island. About halfway to the beach, there is a pull-off spot that looks out across the marsh. There are always ponies, at least in the distance. If you're lucky they will be right up along the road. Sometimes they hang out right at the ocean with the other beach lovers. ”
