  • This is the place to stay when in st lucia. Private place with many things to do and see near by. We ended up extending our stay after spending a week in this cottage. Owners are super nice and helpful. We will be back one day.

  • We had an amazing stay at Montete cottages. This is a great location to explore the south and southwestern part of the island. A very responsive and helpful owner made our stay very easy and straightforward. A four wheel drive is recommended to get up and down the bumpy road easier.

  • Vicki's place was GREAT for us, but it won't be great for everyone. First of all, it is way up high in the mountains, up in the big wind (windy all the time we were there.) The accommodations are simple, but sufficient, and very clean. Getting to the cottage is difficult, (4 wheel drive required), but her nephew graciously picked us up in Rodney Bay, drove us many miles to the house, and then drove us around the next day, showing us the sights and helping us buy groceries. Another cousin graciously picked us up and took us down to dinner in the town the next day. On the last day, they drove us to the airport in Vieux Fort, and we spent time with them in their local bar. Obviously, we paid her relations well for this, and we also made some great new friends! Because there was always wind while we were there, there were NO bugs. There is not much to do up high in the mountains, except enjoy the view, sleep in the hammock, and walk around the neighborhood. This suited us just fine, but wouldn't work for everyone, especially someone who is looking for a fancy, beach-based or city vacation. Unfortunately, we didn't meet Vicki, as she was working out of town, but we met several of her relatives, and they were fabulous. Loved this place, and would recommend it highly to anyone who wants something a bit unusual, off the beaten track, and wanting to experience a little real St. Lucia. Thank you Vicki, we will be back when we can! Mary and Andy Todd.

Built by John DiPol, designer of the world-famous Ladera resort, Villa Piton elaborates on the open-aired concept toward a stunning culmination in a refined experience of the Island's natural splendor; and all while cultivating intimate privacy.
It is certain, this is a place unrivaled. We owe tribute for the architecture to the American designer, John DiPol, who built the Villa Piton as his masterpiece and private residence. Employing DiPol's trademark “open air"-concept, the home expresses its rich surroundings by fusing the lush natural landscape with native St. Lucian materials and furniture to engender a space without bounds. The natural gray St. Lucian granite and Greenheart woodwork rise gently from its place, high upon the ridge between St. Lucia's most celebrated Pitons, as if nature had intended it. Outside the home, DiPol's vision of rolling rooflines and louvered Greenheart Jalousie doors combine sweeping openness with absolute privacy. Subtleties in the architecture play upon the old French mill design, preserving the villa's Old World heritage within its Caribbean overtones. Throughout the inside of the villa the red cedar, greenheart and granite stone couple effortlessly with hand-laid terra cotta tile floors, colorful traditional Italian mosaics and local woodcarvings and sculpture art, adding color and texture to compliment the design.
Villa Piton is one of only a very small number of private homes within the Pitons Management Area, A World Heritage Site designated in 2004. Villa Piton actually is built atop the Piton Mitan Ridge linking the two pitons. The villa is actually between the two mountains and not simply looking at them from afar. This perfect perspective is unrivaled for grandeur and breathtaking views 24/7. Villa Piton's architect John DiPol was also the original entrepreneur who started Dasheene restaurant which later became Ladera Resort. Villa Piton was John's private residence in St Lucia. We enjoy dining at Ladera as well as Hotel Chocolat across the street from Ladera, plus a long list of local food stands and sit down restaurants depending on our appetite! Many are included in the Villa's User Handbook. The villa is absolutely located in the center of everything great about southern St. Lucia. One mile from Sugar Beach Resort, 7 miles from Ladera, Hotel Chocolat and the Sulphur Springs or drive through volcano as its sometimes called, and just 8.5 miles south of Soufriere, the ancient capital of St Lucia. There are protected snorkeling preserves in a mile, zip lines and historical plantation tours within 7-8 miles, and fresh fish markets and harbors merely 4 miles south or 8.5 miles north. Better yet, few if any traffic lights or traffic jams to slow you down. This is relaxing and unwinding as it should be. On your terms!
  • This is a rare gem. The home is beautiful and setting very private. View is stunning. Since the home is located so high on the ridge between the Piton's, there is a cooling breeze that makes air-conditioning completely unnecessary. The staff is very thoughtful when needed and also respect privacy when not needed. This location also provided quick access to the many natural experiences available on the southwest site of St. Lucia.

  • This place was simply amazing. Secluded, beautiful and literally the best view on the island. Kermit and his staff were great, very fast to respond, accommodating and helpful with local tips. Make sure you read the guest book for lots of tips on what to do on the island. Our stay here was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. Make sure you rent a car, it will make life much easier as it’s off the beaten path. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here, I promise.

    Stanley2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Kermit’s place will forever hold such a special place in our hearts. Villa Piton was a honeymoon come true. The views the hospitality of Mary, Greg, and Nika were 5 stars, but what really made this trip memorable was our evenings as we watched the sun go down staring into the Caribbean ocean and seeing the petit piton change in color as the sun went down. I have nothing but kind words about St. Lucia and it’s people. Everyone is so friendly truly an amazing and unforgettable experience. Will return again. Thank you for such a memorable time. Don’t hesitate in booking his place. The views are by far better than any of the resorts around.

    Esther2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Villa Piton is as lovely as all of the other reviews have mentioned. The view is unbeatable, the amenities are everything that we could want, and the staff is exceptional. Don't miss Mary's excellent cooking!

    Tiff2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing and inspiring place to spend time, we once again had an incredible week at Villa Piton. This is a once in a lifetime type of play and we will be back again.

    William2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • The beauty of this home can only be matched by the environment in which it sits. Cradled in the powerful yet gentle energy of natures’ wonder, we spent each day reveling in the sweet release of the daily grind. The home, built with loving and artistic creativity, is a magnificent complement to the stunning surroundings. Each detail, thoughtfully finished with colors, artistry and a simplicity that soothes. No room, should be left unexplored! A highly recommended strategy for deepest appreciation! A special note of gratitude to the owners and house ‘team’ that provided for our extraordinary stay. The extra services available to guests in the form of home cooked cultural meals, on site massage booking, directions, tips and resources, a remarkable compliment to the ease of our wanderings. Unobtrusive, though always available and eager to contribute to meaningful and lasting memories, we consider them now, family. We will indeed be returning to St. Lucia, and Villa Piton Caribbean Castle. It’s Spirit, already calling us home…

    Patrick2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Just south of Soufriere, Villa Piton is a beautiful property high on the mountainside between Gros Piton and Petit Piton with spectacular views of Anse Des Piton below and the yachts that gather at the Sugar Beach resort (a 5 minute drive from Villa Piton). While a bit of a challenge to get to, it is well worth the journey. Highly recommended for those seeking peace, a place to relax, and rainbows (they occured almost daily while we were there).

    Glenn2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • If you haven't been to St. Lucia and are considering a visit, then you should stay at Kermit's place, Villa Piton. We toured almost the entire island and the view from the living room (yes, living room), is THE BEST on the entire island. The pitons are a staple of St. Lucia and you're literally sitting between them with a crazy view. Two of the most amazing resorts, Ladera and Sugar Beach are super close, and can easily be visited for a day at the beach or a meal. We rented a car and we're glad we did. Although, driving in St. Lucia is extremely interesting. We live in the US, so we're used to right-side driving. Driving on the left side was different and the terrain is nuts. It had lots of hills, turns, rocks, bridges, and interesting roads. This was challenging and fun for me, not so much for my wife. :) We're glad we had a car because it gave us some more flexibility during the visit. We were able to visit Soufriere twice and the other resorts as well. While Sugar Beach is in walking distance per se, its probably 1000 feet virtually straight downhill to the beach. We drove and found parking at the bottom, then walked to the beach. Reviews of sugar beach talked about issues at the resort, but we didn't have any. The chairs are $50/chair/day and it was worth it. We had 7 and grabbed 4 chairs. We had decent service and the watersports were very reasonable. We snorkeled all day for $12 each. Not bad. 4 of our kids rode the tube for $20 each. Definitely make time to visit Sugar Beach. We did make the trip up north on one of the days. We're glad we checked it out, but be prepared for a very long day. The drive is also pretty nuts. It took over 2 hours and there is not too many straightaways. There were lots of curves and hills etc.. Our youngest kid threw up during the drive as he got car sick. We did spend time on Reduit Beach which was nice. There is a water park type place 50 yards from the ocean and our kids did 2 hours there, which helped burn some energy. We stopped at Spinnakers on Reduit and it was decent. St. Lucian folks move at their own pace, so be patient, you won't get NYC type service there. We did the welcome dinner with Mary and the team and it was phenomenal. She made chicken, fish, rice, salad and mac n cheese. All 7 of us enjoyed it thoroughly. The second night, she did lobster and Mahi Mahi, again awesome. She cleaned up afterward as well. The view during dinner is so good. Mary took care of everything and is a very happy lady and does a great job with everything. Marcus is the property caretaker and was super supportive and Greg came by every day to take care of the pool. All were super nice and hospitable. Finally, Kermit is the best in the business. I use AIRBNB for work and have stayed in more than 100 places. His commitment to you having a successful vacation is top-notch. His response time is fast and thorough. No question went unanswered. We're super pleased we chose Villa Piton and can't wait to come back.

  • Looking for a home away from home in paradise? A place with gorgeous views of the Caribbean and Gros Piton? How about a fresh breeze that runs through the house and your own pool? This is your place! We were looking for something that didn't resemble a resort/tourist experience, and this was the perfect stay for us. We especially appreciated Anthony's catered dinners and breakfasts along with spending our days on the deck watching the sunset. It's proximity to a quiet fishing beach and a great family-run restaurant - the View - was appreciated. The Hosts are incredibly communicative and helpful. I highly recommend this place. Definitely rent a 4x4 car. :)

  • My husband and I had a great time at Kaye Mango! The location is perfect and peaceful. Everyone we dealt with was gracious and kind. It’s a duplex, but there were no guests next door during our entire trip, so we had the place to ourselves. The pool is AMAZING and a great way to relax after a long day. Although there is no air conditioning, the breeze was great and I didn’t even miss not having A/C. We slept with the doors upstairs open and listened to the birds in the mornings. I would 100% recommend Kaye Mango to anyone and will definitely stay again whenever I make it back to St. Lucia. Thank you so much for a fantastic few days!

  • Use Maps.me to find this place; Google does a bad job with this one. And if you're renting a car, make sure it's an SUV. The roads in this neighborhood are wild (and beautiful!). We had a very pleasant stay here. The view is as good as the photos, the owners respond to issues very quickly, and the local food recommendations are great. Our favorite was the guy Anthony who brings breakfast--HUGE beautiful tasty breakfast spreads including local fruit and juices. He also accommodated our vegetarian restriction and was very responsive and friendly as well. The bedroom upstairs has balconies on either side allowing you to get a nice breeze by opening both.

  • We loved our stay here! It was so nice to get off the resort and relax here. Things to know/tips: - It’s somewhat remote and outside a touristy area - this is great and more authentic feeling, but be aware there can be downsides. For example, neighbors built a fire to make charcoal next door and it filled the house with smoke. We contacted the property manager in the off chance he could do something; the smoke did get better after that. - A car is necessary. A 4x4 is helpful, but any car with clearance will do. The dirt roads around the place are bumpy, but so were many roads around the resorts. It is doable to drive the roads at night, but it can be a little stressful. Go slow and beep around bends. - This place is worth it for the gorgeous ocean and landscape views - seriously, it was so relaxing just taking it all in! - The infinity pool was fabulous! Mostly salt water, although sometimes chlorine is used. We lucked out and had the place to ourselves. It could have a different feel if you have neighbors on the other side of the duplex. - We loved the on site mango tree that was brimming with ripe mangoes! (in May) - Easy check-in, good communication - Access to property manager at Tet Rouge resort - It was clean and there’s housekeeping (Stacy even brought us plums from her property!) - Cross breezes negated need for a/c mostly - Outdoor chairs to lounge upon - they could use a little more cushioning, but we spent most of our time out there. The inside is pretty basic. - Ability to have neighbor deliver a home cooked St. Lucian feast was a huge plus. - Close walking or driving to the View restaurant - we arrived for sunset, and watched it as they cooked us some Creole food. - We also parked near the View and walked 15 minutes more to Anse L’Ivrogne beach, a secluded beautiful beach - Quiet (we didn’t experience loud music or other disturbances, just regular sounds of cows mooing, dogs barking, and roosters crowing in the distance) - Nice landscaping - Close drive to Boucan restaurant - good for a more upscale meal. - Close to Sugar Beach (get the day pass - $50/person for shuttle and beach access, but you can use it as a credit at the restaurant. Beautiful views, decent food and drinks, soft albeit imported sand, crystal clear water, good snorkeling, ocean floats = relaxing day. Extra $50/person for use of beach chair; we skipped that). - Stop at grocery store in Soufriere - there was dish soap, a sponge, cookware and dishes, but you’ll need to supply bottled water, food, paper towels, condiments, etc. - Check out the beach in Chieosel - Laborie is a fun day trip - We has our best lunch at Fedo’s in Soufriere! - WiFi worked well. No TV. - This is a place to unwind - some swimming, some drinks, some reading, some view gazing...interspersed with excursions elsewhere. We loved it!

  • Had a wonderful time at Kaye Mango!!! The villa was clean, spacious, and had a gorgeous view of the water. The villa has an infinity pool shared between the 2 units. The back deck has a wall between the 2 units so privacy was not an issued. We loved soaking up on the sun in our lounge chairs in the back. There was some construction next door, but they weren't too loud. Lots of animals to be heard throughout the day (roosters, goats, dogs and cows). The staff were very friendly and even offered recommendations for restaurants. Gavin was excellent. He made a reservation for us at Mango Tree and even delivered us pizza one night. The staff were quick to answer any questions we had. There are 2 restaurants within 5 minute drive as well as a few convenience stores where we bought local meats and veggies for dinner. Everything was reasonably priced. It is recommended to rent a 4x4 vehicle as some roads are bumpy and rough. We thoroughly enjoyed the Diamond Botanical Gardens (30 min drive north). Only $7 US to enter. Was definitely worth it. Overall we highly recommend this villa. You won't be disappointed. You will enjoy your very own little piece of paradise.

  • The place is very spacious, clean and comfortable. The view is spectacular and the salt water pool is a great feature to have after a day of exploring. I am not a big pool fan because of chlorine, but this one has very little of it, so it was very enjoyable. Location is perfect, although maybe not for everyone due to its remoteness. The winding roads and local driving habits need some getting used to. At the beginning we thought guys honking at us were trying to tell us something, such as warn about a radar hiding in a bush or maybe our trunk was open? Well, after few days my husband was honking away himself as it turned out it’s just a safety measure as well as a sign of pure friendliness. We spent three weeks at Kaye Mango and after exploring the whole island came to a conclusion that we made the right choice staying there for the whole term. The area is less touristy, close to all major hiking trails, beautiful beaches where you barely see anyone else. Besides, local people are very friendly. Communication was easy, any minor issues we had at the beginning were dealt with promptly, so overall it was a great experience, highly recommend.

    Olga2018-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Kaye Mango is beautifully located! The view from the pool and the bedroom is incredible. It’s the perfect place if you’re looking for tranquility but also be close to most of the island attractions. There is a local guy who comes regularly to check if everything is ok and who can help with anything you need. If you really want a glimpse of the local culture this is the perfect place. Everything was as we expected.

The Local Experience is a family home, the place to be for your home away from home vacation. This cozy space is perfect for your stay and you automatically become part of the family. We are located in Riviere Doree, Choiseul (south of the island) close to all of the enjoyable sightseeing locations on our small island. The apartment is approximately 10 minutes walking distance to a beautiful beach. We are an island of warm and friendly people and we look forward to your stay!
Offers in house activities such as lessons on cooking local foods, boat tours, and much more. Guests have a choice of preparing their meals daily or booking one of our in-house chefs to prepare a special meal for them. The apartment is clean, cute and spacious.
The area is quiet and the neighbors are very friendly and helpful. Easy beach access.
  • You will enjoy the local experience . Lerona and her family were very accommodating with such genuine hospitality. The beach by the airport is a lovely spot to catch some waves, food and drinks . We were not there very long...and stressful times with the Covid 19, but with all that we managed to relax and feel at home.

    Michele2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect stay at Lerona's house. The accommodation was very comfortable, clean, very well furnished and pleasant. It's perfectly located to explore the south and middle east and west side of the island. Beside that, Lerona and her family are really really kind. Lerona helped us a lot before and during our stay, including the rental of car. Lerona and her family are always there to help us and even provide us very good coconut from the garden. We really had a great time and recommend without any doubt this accomodation.

    Maeva2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Extremely clean, much attention to detail has been done to make our stay most welcome and comfortable. Communicating with owner was a breeze via whatsapp, Very accommodating and friendly. We would have liked to stay longer. AC in bedroom is a plus. Shower was so nice. Such an inviting place to stay in a local neighborhood. We'll return.

  • Don't hesitate book it !! We passed a wonderful time there! Lenora has been always there to help us in our trip. We just want to say a big thank you to Lenora and her family! You will passed a perfect time with them and to visit st Lucia

    Louis2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lerona and her family personify the true Airbnb experience. I have stayed in Airbnbs across the country and I have never felt truly at home as I have here. We were greeted by Lerona and her lovely mother upon arrival and the entire family (including Lerona’s adorable son and puppy) made us feel welcome throughout our stay. They even provided us with a local phone for use to contact them. If you are looking for a true family, immersion experience with the option for resort-style amenities (ie: prepared meals, organized excursions), this experience is perfect for you.

    James2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful Accommodation, really kind family they really make you feel like you are at your home away from home, thank you and will be recommending it to family and friends.

    Sanam2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely time at Lerona’s place. It’s just as described and we really felt that we had ‘ the local experience’. It was nice to share time with the family and Winnie cooked us 2 lovely meals. Due to a change in the ferry from Martinique’s timetable we arrived later than expected but Lerona organised a taxi to pick us up. We had no car so used local buses to get around which was no problem at all and the little beach below was only 8 minutes down hill and has a lovely view. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the terrace outside was perfect to eat both breakfast and lunch. Highly recommend if you want to get away from the other tourists. Thanks to the whole family.

    Amanda2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • The easiest five star review ever. From start to finish a loving and intimate environment to be in. Perfectly located a 6 min walk from an almost deserted beach and close enough to the main road for easy transport around the island. We were introduced to three generations of her lovely family as well as being offered a tour of their smallholding and meeting their puppies, cats and piglets. The apartment has everything you could need and ample space for me and my boyfriend. On our last night we were treated to a bbq with the other guests which was a perfect way to end our stay. Frankly the best air bnb we had ever stayed in. Cannot recommend it enough!

Tranquil villa located at the base of Gross Piton, walking distance to Anse L'Ivrogne Beach and 10 minutes drive to Sugar Beach (aka Jalousie). Kaye Coco villa has a spacious living room with French doors, which open to the pool and deck.
Kaye Coco villa is comprised of 2 side-by-side apartments. Each apartment has one bedroom with a queen-size bed, and a second queen-size bed available in the loft. A deck with loungers framing the infinity pool and great views of the Caribbean Sea make this an ideal spot for sunbathing. If you wish to book and this apartment is not available, please check my other Kaye Coco apartment https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/11303426
The most beautiful places to visit in Saint Lucia are within 5-20 min driving: - The Gros Piton trail starts at walking distance from my house (it's actually located at the base of the Gros Piton). - Tet Paul trail, an easy hiking, with amazing views of the ocean and island peaks - Sulphur Springs, the only drive-in volcano in Caribbean - Sugar Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island with amazing snorkelling - Piton Falls with hot showers from the volcano and hot tubs - Coubaril Estate with horse riding and zip line - Botanical Gardens of Soufriere
  • Amazing location close to the sea and the mountains. Very clean, comfortable and relaxing villa with all the amenities and an infinity pool on the outside deck. Vinel is an awesome host! Really enjoyed our stay. Everything was beautiful, cozy, clean, perfection!

    Camelia2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay, Garvin was very kind. No one was staying in the place next to us, so we had the pool all to ourselves which was awesome. You definitely need to rent a car while you are here. Finding it can be a bit tricky, you need to keep your eye out for the “Kaye Coco” signs. We went during rainy season so the mosquito net was essential. Overall it is a great place for the price. We really enjoyed our stay.

    Kara2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and nice spot with a great outdoor area/pool to relax by. Directions to the Airbnb were pretty clear but easiest to just put the coordinates or Kaye Coco into the GPS and it took us right there. Check in and out was simple. Only thing lacking in the kitchen was a toaster and paper towel but had all other basics for cooking. Comfortable bed and pillows with nice linens. Location was great, close by to Soufriere (groceries), Sugar Beach (which is a must see, you can snorkel at the base of the pitons), also close by to scenic trails/tourist attractions. The area around the Airbnb felt safe. Area was more relaxing and quieter than some other parts north on the island. We would definitely recommend staying here (and having a 4x4)!

    Vanessa2019-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Kaye Coco. Definitely recommend renting a 4x4 or at least a car with higher ground clearance as the roads are quite bumpy. We arrived in the dark as our flight was delayed and it was a challenge to find! If possible, try and get there in the daylight and you won’t have too many issues. Garvin year property manager was super helpful and even drove us into Soufriere and back home one night ($60 US return). He also helped organize the sunset cruise and Gros Piton Hike. Would recommend getting dinner from the locals, we did twice and they were the best meals we had (and we did a fine dining meal in Soufriere). Both Vinel and Garvin are very responsive to any inquiries!

    Laura2019-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We just returned from a week's stay at Kaye Coco and had a wonderful time! The prior reviews are quite accurate about this great place, so my goal here is not to repeat what's already been said, but to just add a little more detail to help fill in the holes that were perhaps not clear to me before we arrived and to share a few additional impressions. For the sake of context, we came as a family (me, my wife, and our two adult sons - 21 and 25) and rented out both units (which, if it's not clear, are advertised in Airbnb as two separate listings both called Kaye Coco). If you want privacy, this seems the best way to go as the back deck (although separated by a sliding partition wall) is shared via the pool and you would likely hear your neighbors if you're both out on the respective sections. For us it was the perfect way to come as a family - my wife and I had one unit, the boys another, and we had as much togetherness as we wanted, with the ability to go into separate spaces if desired. We rented a car and drove ourselves to the villa. Although I'm sure that people rent the house without a vehicle (and either spend most of their time on site or hire a driver to take them around), I'd strongly recommend that if you're going to stay here you get a car. We did spend a lot of time lounging around on the lovely deck and if that's all you want to do, then maybe not. But there is so much to enjoy in the surrounding area and the car really gives you the freedom to explore at will. Although you can walk all the way to the nearby beach (Anse L'Ivrogne, or called by the locals "Sevoigne") from the house, we preferred to drive the 5 minutes to the "View" restaurant and walk down the path from there. It cuts the trip in half and is easier if you're also carrying beach chairs and provisions. Also, heed all of the warnings about getting a 4WD vehicle. It's really essential on these roads. Given the size of the potholes and some of the other rough terrain, a low clearance car could really get you in trouble. If you plan to visit Anse Chastenet or Anse Mamin beaches, or drive into the rainforest, you will definitely need 4WD. And, remember, it's a UK Commonwealth country and they drive on the left side of the road. Something else that was not clear until we arrived. Kaye Coco sits immediately above the Tet Rouge resort (which is 3 interconnected villas with a pool and small bar/dining area), and in fact shares a garden area with Tet Rouge. (these are the red roofs that one reviewer complained about - yes they obstruct the central ocean view, but there is still plenty of ocean to see as well as Gros Piton from unit 2). There are several other rental villas very nearby - and all of these are looked after by the owner of Tet Rouge, with the assistance of his spectacular property manager, Gavin. He's the one you'll most interact with and he deserves all the rave reviews. Tet Rouge also supplies the housekeepers who come by every day to tidy up. With regard to the comments about the neighborhood being unsafe, I just don't get it. Yes, it's quite rural and you'll see all that comes with this in a less developed country, but we always felt entirely comfortable. We did not find the barking, crowing, bleating, or occasional mooing to be bothersome - in fact we mostly enjoyed it (or easily tuned it out). The sounds from the neighbors was also not much of a problem - except for one person who blared annoying music a couple of times. If something like that is going to ruin your vacation then this is probably not the place for you, but overall, we found the ability to stay in a house like this, experience the real Saint Lucia, while also enjoying the beach, sun, hiking, etc. to be well worth it.

  • Great place to stay for a couple, family of 4 or 2 couples. The place has nice views and great costal breezes that makes the experience really nice. The access road is a little bit difficult to find from the main road but once you’re in it, it’s a fun an adventurous ride! Make sure to drive carefully, some locals know too well all the curves!

  • Lovely little villa, perfect for a short stay.

    Leon2018-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location for discovering the south of St Lucia! Close to the Pitons, mud bath, water falls and beautiful beaches. Especially recommend a trip to Anse Mamin beach a short walking distance north from Anse Chastanet. Vinel was very helpful before we arrived and gave us all the information we needed and Garvin was amazing while we were there. The house is very nice and the pool is soothing after a day in the Caribbean sun. We brought our own hammock and were able to attach that on the beam on the porch.

Têt Rouge is a charming 4 star boutique hotel on the beautiful tropical island of St. Lucia. We are situated on the hills overlooking the Caribbean Sea above La Pointe, Choiseul, a community at the base of the Gros Piton (UNESCO World Heritage Site), where people of Carib ancestry continue their traditions of molding clay into pots, twining vines into baskets, and other local crafts, cuisine and cultural activities. From the property, walk down to the beach or hike the majestic Gros Piton.
  • Amazing resort! Love the location, food, staff, pool, views, etc— will definitely be back!

  • My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The place was very neat and clean and the staff and hosts were extremely accommodating. Every question or request we had was gladly fulfilled! The views are beautiful and the food was great (best fish I have ever had). Altogether, 5 out of 5 for us.

    Alyson2019-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great insider tips from a welcoming staff. You will be taken care of here and enjoy peace and quiet for the most part. And beautiful views.

  • We very much enjoyed our stay at Tet Rouge. For the first time in a very long time, we actually unplugged and RELAXED, in the true sense of the word. Tet Rouge is simple and yet lacks nothing. The space of the room is designed perfectly, and with high ceilings and clean white linens, an airy bathroom with a most amazing outdoor shower and a porch and view you will not forget. Its clean, very clean and very simple and yet lacks nothing. The tiny kitchen has a full fridge and cooktop and coffee pot. Its enough. The bed is very comfortable with a nice linen mosquito net. In the morning breakfast is served and the staff here are so friendly and accommodating and genuine; I found this true for everyone I met here. The food is whole and delicious. The view from the dining area is spectacular and open-aired. The pool is a salt-water pool and the view from here is again breathtaking and the water refreshing and the chairs perfect for lounging. There are umbrellas to shade your face as well. You can walk down a road and then a more jungle road to the ocean; its rocky but absolutely worth is for a swim right below the peton. Its private- you won't see many down there at all. At Tet Rouge you will not be staying close to tourist type establishments; if you want to buy food, do so at the Massy store by the airport. We did stay at another location after here, and it was pricier and had more staff and a view you cannot believe. We both agreed we loved Tet Rouge the most.

    Jill2018-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights on our honeymoon. This was the 3rd place we stayed in St. Lucia and was by far our favorite. The staff at Têt Rouge showed us an amazing time and you can tell everyone running the hotel is a truly good person. Garvin is the best!

    Sam2018-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • CAN YOU SAY HOSPITALITY???!!!!! Tet Rouge is DYNAMIC! The location is simply beautiful, it over looks the ocean and the view from your bedroom is something to cherish forever. We stayed for (7) days and we were so sad to leave. The place comes with a little kitchenette, stove and refrigerator stocked with items for purchase. The two showers in the suite are really spectacular, the outdoor shower is something to experience. Imagine taking a warm shower under the night sky. It’s luxurious. You can tell that the owners really put thought and details into their designs, right down to the seashell adorned knobs to their cabinets. It’s just a very well thought out design scheme to the place. I must say the women who work there are so fantastic. Everything they could do to make our stay more pleasant they did. These ladies...Samantha/Melissa/Leah/Alvie 😍😍😍😍😍 they are so fantastically wonderful. I really was so sad to leave. I am back in the states now wishing I was in St.Lucia... Keisha and Martin picked us up from the airport and they were so kind. We also met the facility manager Gavin who was so sweet. I love the pride they possess. All in all I have nothing but great things to say.

  • Upon our arrival we were greeted and checked in by Garvin (aka Gavin). He showed us the beautiful property and then we selected dinner that was later prepared for us at the venue. Gavin and the staff were so accommodating and gave us so much information on what to do in the area. The views were spectacular and property was so private and serene! The outdoor showers was our favorite part of the room! The food served at Tet Rouge was very good and we would highly recommend the seafood delight! Gavin truly made our stay very special by Introducing us to the local spots, setting up massages, taking us to local the store (Toby’s), and just talking with us and telling us about the island. We would highly reccomems this place to anyone wanting a relaxing vacation with a local feel!

    Lindsey2018-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a vacation with a local feel, but hotel amenities, Tet Rouge may be a great location for you. Away from the tourism towns, this resort offers the best views on the island and the most vibrant plants and flowers.

A beautiful apartment ideally situated for touring the unspoilt South. 20 minutes drive away are the famous Pitons, Sulphur Springs, Botanical Gardens and waterfalls. Short drive away are a selection beautiful natural palm fringed beaches, with a few cafes and restaurants but No hotels. Laborie is a close by, a pretty fishing village with good local eateries and bars. A wonderful beach too. Vieux Fort is 15 minutes away where there is the Supermarket, banks, fisheries.. Pls Read our reviews.
  • So happy we chose this accomodation for our stay in St Lucia. Lovely location to use as a base to explore the whole of the Island. Hire car essential. Close by to beaches, restaurants and tourist spots. Supermarkets nearby for groceries. Explored the South, East and West of the Island with ease. North is 1.5 hours away, only needs a day as most of what you want to do and see is nearby. Villa is much nicer and more spacious than it looks on the pictures!! Pool is amazing and actually bigger than it looks in the pictures too. It was really like being in paradise looking around and seeing the gorgeous palm trees swaying around us, enjoying the island breeze and swimming or enjoying breakfast outdoors. At night you get to fall asleep to the beautiful relaxing sounds of the night time creatures outside. Kathryn was always prompt with communication when booking and Hilroy was always around for a chat and to give valuable local tips and advice. He was kind enough to encourage our family member to swim for the first time in 70 years which will make a massive difference to her life as she now is confident to do this back home too :) They were really accomodating to us and it always felt like returning home after a long day. We added a guest last minute and they were really flexible about this too. Also important to mention that we travelled with our two young children (3 and 11 months) and it was perfect for them to run/crawl around in and outside. Everything you need to make food is there but we ended up mostly eating out as groceries are quite pricey and limited in St Lucia. If we went back there is no where else we would want to stay than Palm View Villa!

    Fatima2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Everything is perfect. Sublime welcome from Hilroy and his incredible attentions !! It really helps us with planning. However they must acclimatize to his dogs and to the barking of the dogs of the local population. Thank you! Xxx

  • Palmview Villa provides very good value. It is a spacious and comfortable apartment on the ground floor of the house, and is completely self-contained. It has a spacious deck which has a dining table. There is also a dining table indoors. The bedrooms are all of a good size; one has an ensuite bathroom. There is a separate bathroom for the other rooms to use. There is swimming pool on a lower level with loungers and also a shaded corner for reading with confortable wicker chairs. There is space for parking one visitor's car at the entrance to the apartment.

    Jonathan2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lushly landscaped yard and pool, clean quiet rooms, lots of living space. Amazing frog calls lulling one to sleep each evening. The total island experience.

    Nick2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Kathryn and Hilroy are attentive and friendly hosts. We found them very knowledgeable about the local area and happy to help with whatever we needed. The rum punch on arrival was an unexpected extra! Would definitely recommend this peaceful, well located and stylish home.

    Dino2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Kathryn and Hillroy are great hosts! They have very good local tips and are a wealth of knowledge about StLucia. The apartment is spotless and had everything we needed for a family of four. The pool and surrounding trees and flowers give you the feel of your own private paradise. There are three sweet dogs living on the property with the hosts and they love attention. Location is great for all of the main attractions in the southwest as long as you have a car. Our hosts greeted us with homemade goodies and basics in the refrigerator. They arranged a rental car for us and also provided transport from the airport. Great value, comfort and location. We would definitely return to their home again!

    Michael2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Kathryn and Hilroy's place was fantastic. They were very quick to respond and were so helpful with tips for around the island. The location is in a quiet, safe area close to a beautiful beach we often had to ourselves, and about a 20 min drive to all of the best things to see in St Lucia like the Pitons and mud bath. Since our flight got in a bit later on a Sunday everything was closed so after Hilroy picked us up at the airport he took us somewhere to grab a bite to eat and they had some food for us so we could make breakfast the next day which was really appreciated. Pool was also great for a quick swim in the morning or evening, or relaxing by during the day, and they had a beautiful relaxing area to sit by at night. 3 dogs on the property were super friendly. Would highly recommend and will hopefully be back soon!

    Jamie2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Kathryn and Hillroy are simply the best. Going out of their way to give you the best recommendation possible and making sure your stay is comfortable. Please read the book they made for guests it is full of insight and good tips on where and what to do around! I cannot recommend this place enough. Beautiful pool and everything around is easy access with the car. The kitchen is also a good plus with everything you need.

Relax on the veranda by the salt water infinity pool. Look out at the swaying palm trees and the Caribbean sea. Explore the beaches, forests, restaurants and local bars. Hike up the Gros Piton, or go snorkeling, scuba diving, deep sea fishing...
Bamboo Villa features an open concept living room, kitchen and dining room with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Walk out to a beautiful large covered veranda and a salt water infinity pool. A large well equipped kitchen includes a fridge and freezer, dishwasher, and stove/oven. Either cook your own meals or have a local chef prepare them. There are several local restaurants located nearby serving a wide variety of delicious cuisine. The Villa is located on 2 acres, and has fruit trees and gardens. The Villa is just south of the Pitons in St. Lucia where there is always a nice breeze. Only 35 minutes from the Hewanorra International Airport (UVF) in St. Lucia.
Relax. On the veranda, or in the salt water infinity pool. Explore. The neighborhood, the beaches, the forests, the restaurants and local bars. Adventure. Hike up the Gros Piton. Snorkeling and scuba diving. Deep sea fishing. Whale and dolphin watching tours. Sailing. Kite surfing. Windsurfing. Kayaking. Stand up paddle boarding.
  • We spent a pleasant 6 days at Bamboo Villa at the end of January. Depending on what time your flight arrives, I would maybe suggest not stopping for groceries near the airport. By the time we got done picking up groceries we had to drive there in the dark. The roads are very dark and narrow and there's also the adjustment of driving on the other side of the road. The villa isn't really marked, so in the dark we ended up parking our car and wandering a bit once we got to Tet Rouge. The villa itself is quite spacious, and the kitchen is well equipped. Most days we came back in time for sunset, swam and watched the sun go down into the ocean, and then cooked ourselves dinner and ate on the back patio. The patio, pool & views were our favorite part of our stay. It was nice to have Madelyn come clean every day while we were out, and Gavin was great, arranging for us to buy some local fresh caught fish & booking us a sailboat tour.

  • The Bamboo Villa was a wonderful, peaceful spot to spend three nights in St. Lucia. The outdoor deck space, with the pool, chairs, table and hammock, is so nice that we spent one entire day there without even leaving the property. It's in a hilly area of southwest St. Lucia, looking right up at the Gros Piton, so you're in the vicinity of some great hiking. Host was quick to respond to texts, gave us a friendly greeting upon arrival, and gave us our privacy after that -- exactly what we were looking for. My advice for anyone renting this place (and I would come back again) is to have a 4x4 vehicle, and make a big grocery run beforehand, because you won't have many food options in the area, as it's a more rural, lesser-touristed pocket of the island.

    Luke2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had an incredible time at Bamboo Villa. The house was clean and spacious and the infinity pool was gorgeous. We were welcomed by the host who provided us with a number of recommendations for things to do in the area. Some other highlights: Bose speakers, comfortable bed/pillows, hammock, daily cleaning services, beautiful sunsets. We used St Rose Auto Rentals to rent an SUV, which was necessary to get around in the area. Would highly recommend this car rental service. Would absolutely book Bamboo in the future.

    Emily2019-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • We were a large party (two parents and lots of grown up offspring) looking for an active holiday in a less touristy part of the island. Bamboo villa is an ideal place to use as a base for such a holiday. Quite hard to get to - you need a 4x4 to access many of the activities and beaches in any case - and not within walking distance of a beach (or rather, the beach that is technically within walking distance was not recommended) - you drive along twisting coast roads and through fields of carefully tended and individually irrigated crops, in the heart of the local community with small bars and brightly coloured houses. Bamboo villa is a good place to come back to after a day out, to swim in the pool, relax, enjoy the sun and the ocean view. Gavin was great at recommending and organising activities - walks in the rainforest, boat trips, snorkeling, cliff jumping, bat caves, places to eat, treks up the Pitons... The owner is very accessible and made an excellent recommendation for car rental, much cheaper than any of the agencies. The villa is simple: a main room with kitchen area and minimal sofas, four bedrooms leading off the central room, all with comfortable beds, good linens and ample fans. Two bathrooms with showers, not high pressure but plenty of towels. A good square table to eat outside by the pool. Not white marble and dimmers, but brightly coloured stucco and bougainvillea. Dogs bark in the distance, chickens cluck, pigs occasionally pipe up, and the atmosphere is one of being on a local farm rather than in the environs of a soulless hotel (Tet Rouge is fifty yards from the house, but very discreet and only 6 rooms in any case). Some distance to find places to eat, but this is not a problem. The villa is 35 minutes from Hewannara airport, and 30 minutes from the big supermarket, but more fun to drive to Souffrere for supplies, especially the street sellers (coconuts, tamarind, mangos, other fruit and veg, and fish). Recommend you arrive in the afternoon having picked up supplies on the way from the airport, book activities via Gavin, arrange dinner and jump in the pool (saltwater - great).

    Emma2019-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at Bamboo Villa for our honeymoon. It ended up being the perfect place because it was close to the island's attractions we wanted to visit (Sugar Beach, Anse Chastanet Beach, Sulfur Springs, etc.) while also being enough in and of itself. With the amazing infinity pool and plethora of outdoor seating we spent some days just hanging out at the house. The actual house itself is nothing fancy but the kitchen is spacious and is equipped with oven, dishwasher, variety of cooking pots/utensils, blender, etc. We didn't realize this while booking but the house is affiliated with a hotel, Tet Rouge. When we arrived we met Gavin, who works at Tet Rouge, and he said he could help us out with anything we needed. He ended up being a wonderful asset. He helped us acquire local seafood for our meals at home and gave us useful suggestions about restaurants to visit and activities to do. We would recommend using him while staying at Bamboo Villa. If you're going to rent a car, please make sure to rent one with 4 wheel drive. The roads are not great and the road leading to the house is very bumpy! The directions we were given to the house were a bit confusing. It was most helpful to put Tet Rouge into our phone's GPS. It would take us to the street that has a colorful post at the end of it with arrows pointing towards Tet Rouge and Bamboo Villa. Once we got to that street we just turned in and followed the signs. If you're looking for a relaxing home that's tucked away, feels private, and yet is close to lots of the island's attractions, this is the place for you!

    Julia2019-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing views! Fantastic pool! We spent 4 days at Bamboo Villa and can’t wait to get back. Perfect location for getting away from it all but you are also so close to many activities if you want some adventure. The house is well stocked with appliances and dishes. No problem with mosquitos until our last night. Put some repellant on; then no worries. Everyone is so nice. Get out and walk the area. You’ll meet lots of people who are happy to share information about the area. We rented a car and once you get used to the roads, you’ll have no trouble. We’d recommend getting groceries at Massy’s In Vieux Fort. You can stop there on your way in from the Airport. Otherwise it’s a 40 minute drive. If you like craft beer, check out The Ugly Mug in Vieux Fort. On Sunday night, we enjoyed a barbecue dinner and Sunset at Shackaville. So much food, and lots of country music! Treat yourself to an expensive cocktail at Dasheene at Ladera. The sunset is worth it! You could also stop by the Tet Paul nature trail on your way there. More amazing views of the Pitons and the island. We also had dinner at Bamboo at Fond Doux. Food and cocktails were better than Dasheene and reasonably priced. Great service from Alicia and Alec.

    Michelle2019-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Bamboo Villa! We were there for a girls trip and the house and pool were everything we wanted and more! The pool is pretty deep, which was great for us! The house isn’t really within walking distance of anything so a rental car would be a good idea. Most things are only a 10-15 min drive! We found some great local restaurants and beaches a short distance from us, which was a great way to spend the day! The beds were really comfortable as well! We would defiantly stay here again!

    Katie2019-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed here for for 4 nights during our honeymoon and loved it! It was great to have a villa all to ourselves after spending the week prior in resorts, and the pool was amazing! Bamboo Villa has basic kitchen cookware, wifi, a safe for your valuables, and we didn't realize that housekeeping would come daily - but it was so nice! If you are looking for privacy and amazing views - then this is the place! There are 2 markets nearby if you need bare essentials like water, snacks, beer, etc. A more robust market is about a 20 minute drive. I would also recommend the driver/car rental company that the owner recommends - he is great! If you don't feel comfortable driving - use their taxi services!

Hill top Villa with Spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea & the Iconic Pitons. You won't get this close to the Iconic Pitons or Island attractions anywhere!A large 1,175 square foot Villa apartment that provides holidaymakers with a comfortable base
Piton Vista is ideally located in the picturesque Saint Lucia attraction capital of Soufriere, with easy access to all St. Lucia Activities, tours, sightseeing, gourmet dining and sailing. It is only a 15 minute drive from the old French town of Soufriere. The house has been furnished and fitted to the highest standards and is a perfect location for the discerning visitor seeking secluded luxury without isolation.
Rising like an emerald tooth from the flat Caribbean Sea, St Lucia definitely grabs your attention. Glossed over as some sort of glam honeymoon spot, this mountainous island has much more to offer then just posh digs. Who says the Caribbean is all about lying on the beach? If that’s all you do in St Lucia you’re missing out. The rainforest-choked interior is made for hiking; a canopy of green covers the island like a haze. Rolling hills grow to form volcanic mountains and reach to the sky. The iconic Pitons rise from the waves to the clouds like pyramids of volcanic stone. This isn't some gleamed-up, theme-park holiday spot – St Lucia has a pulse. Your senses are bombarded with the sights, smells and sounds of an island that’s truly alive. In Pigeon Island National Park has a history of hostility, but these days, is known for walks and its small sandy beach. Towns like Castries move and shake to the sound of car horns, the smell of rotis fresh from the oven and reggae blaring on the speaker.
  • Great place to stay in St. Lucia with an incredible view of the Pitons. It’s well located for exploring the sights and local restaurants in and around Soufriere and Choiseul (you should plan to have a rental car). The apartment itself is very spacious, with two bedrooms, a large balcony, and a nicely equipped kitchen for meals. Also felt very secure.

  • Martin's place comes with an absolutely stunning view from the balcony. The most beautiful place to sit outside and have your breakfast with views of the Pitons, but also if you're early enough little Hummingbirds can be seen hovering around the flowers. The Villa comfortably fit my husband and I and our two children. The kitchen was great, we cooked dinner twice during our stay and made breakfast every day which helps to save a bit of money but the location is so good, easy to get to local resort restaurants, we tried Bamboo and Boucan for a treat, and ate in Soufriere other nights. The use of the washing machine was great also and Netflix at night for movies. Martin kindly met us at the airport so we could follow him to the villa and took us to a big supermarket to stock up on the way which we really appreciated. Will really miss Martins place it felt like home for the week!

  • After we had rented a car at Castries Airport (which is definitely to be recommended when staying at Martin's) we found our accommodation with the help of a street map provided at the airport. Martin (he lives with his family on the ground floor of the same house) was already waiting, showed us the apartment and explained us the necessary technical features. We fell in love immediately with this apartment with the most magnificent view and, despite some neighboring houses, the feeling of living in the jungle. The large bedroom with incredible views of the Gros Piton seduced to hours of early morning gazing and enjoying. The apartment is nicely decorated, the kitchen completely, the bathrooms practical and the huge terrace simply stunning. Martin was a super friendly and helpful host who even spoke a little German (and loves Berlin). For any nature lover, the environment of the apartment is an absolute asset. Thanks Martin, we will definitely come back.

Only two houses away from the main road, which connects the two towns of Vieux-Fort and Soufriere. This means easy access to the Sulphur Springs and the drive-in volcano. Only 10 minutes away from the famous pitons and 2 minutes away from the closest beach. The Choiseul Village is also 5 minutes away, where one can find the Catholic Church, the Credit Union as well as freshly caught fish from our fishermen. Feeling for a drink on the weekends? There's a bar nearby to satisfy those cravings
Quiet and safe neighborhood 2 minute drive to popular, picturesque beach. Ten- minute drive to the Gros Piton trail for hikers.sound of crickets at nights and occasional school bell and lunchtime sounds of playing kids from a Primary school in the neighborhood. Access to coconut trees and golden-apple tree in the yard (low enough to be picked by hand)
  • Eliana and her son were very responsive and accommodating. The location of the home was nice. It sits off of the main road, really walking distance, and she was kind enough to meet us at the road and guide us to the house. There is a bar and local store within walking distance.

This space is bright and airy with rooms filled with colour bringing to mind coral reefs. Balconies project from almost half the flat, offering views of the famous Pitons as well as the Caribbean Sea. Look out for spectacular sunsets of the SW coast!
The bedrooms are spacious, well lit rooms with lots of storage available and the master bedroom has a private balcony. The kitchen is outfitted with a stove, microwave, kettle, refrigerator and freezer. As the flat is located near a grocery store, you would not have to travel far for supplies if you wish to cook. There are also several tropical fruit and nut trees growing around the premises including coconut, papaya, guava, doung, cashew, almond, tamarind, mango, lime, tangerine and orange (Choiseul used to be called "Anse Citron" i.e. Lime Bay after all the citrus trees growing there during colonial times!).
La Fargue is a residential area within the district of Choiseul on a plateau above the main village. Choiseul is frequently called the cultural capital of St. Lucia. We are known for our hospitality as much as for making traditional handicrafts such as woven baskets and clay pots using locally sourced materials. This is a fishing village with active markets selling freshly caught fish as well as locally grown produce. There are also many bars (some beach-side!) and other establishments such as galleries and restaurants. There is a large field within walking distance where many activities are held and local teams gather to play football and cricket. Adjacent to the field is a fenced public court for playing ball games that is lit up at night. Many beautiful beaches that are fairly popular with locals can be accessed within minutes. The Gros Piton nature trail is also accessed via Choiseul. Travelling about thirty minutes north and west will bring you to the town of Soufriere which holds a large variety of attractions including the Sulphur Springs, zip lining and many waterfalls. Travelling south-eastward from Choiseul will bring you to the charming village of Laborie within fifteen minutes and to the town of Vieux Fort after a further ten minutes. Both places hold attractions including the Rudy John Beach Park in Laborie and activities such as paintball and windsurfing in Vieux Fort. The international airport is also located in Vieux Fort. One and a half hours either way will bring you to the capital city of Castries.
  • This is a terrific apartment, perfectly placed for exploring the south end of Saint Lucia and incredibly reasonable. Krista's family will always take care of you during your stay, the accommodation is safe and comfortable, parking is easy (I recommend you have a car), and the view of the Pitons is magnificent. I've stayed there before, and will again.

    Patricia2019-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Krista’s place very well matched her description as well as many of the favorable reviews. Very spacious 4 bedroom flat with complete kitchen. Not the latest greatest features, but perfect for me and my family. The place definitely meets or exceeds expectations based on listing, favorable reviews, and sweet price point. Very clean and airy space with a clear view of gross piton.to the East it’s only 30 minutes to UVF, Massey’s Market and Scotia Bank (which has minimal service fee for withdrawals if you have a Bank of America account). 15 minutes to Laborie town beach which is very nice for kids swimming. To the west, it’s about 15 minutes to The View restaurant (well worth the journey), and 30 minutes to Sugar beach. The best was Tipsy’s Bar & Restaurant directly across the street which had the most consistently well prepared meals we had in Choiseul. Not yet listed on TripAdvisor, but I am trying to get them on because it will help many people traveling in the off season.

  • I have been traveling in southern Saint Lucia for 25 years, and Krista's spacious apartments are the perfect place to stay. The location in La Fargue allows you easy access to the larger towns of Vieux Fort to the east and Soufriere to the west/north, but most important is that you are right there in Choiseul, which I believe is the very best district in Saint Lucia. The apartment is enormous and has everything you'll need with a full kitchen, comfortable beds, screens on the windows, and a fabulous view of the Pitons and the Caribbean Sea from the front porch. This is a terrific opportunity to live in a true St. Lucian village as opposed to a tourist enclave, and I strongly encourage everyone to hire a car for access to all the region has to offer. Thank you Krista (and house supervisor Ulrica Nuptial) - I really enjoyed my stay !

    Patricia2018-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Krista’s place for a couple of nights and really enjoyed our time. Krista arranged a driver to pick us up from the airport and we had a cold crate of Piton beer in the fridge waiting for us on arrival. The house itself is huge and the views from the balcony are amazing, you get the ocean and the Pitons. Bradley, the driver, kindly took us on a boat called The Pearl and also up to the street party in Gros Islet and on to a karaoke bar. We had a great night. We ate food at Tipsy’s bar and Sea Breeze in Choiseul village. We also climbed Gros Piton, we flagged a ride on the street in front of the house. The area is really good and chilled out and everybody was really friendly. I’d definitely recommend staying here and would stay again.

    Matthew2018-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The place is as described except the hospitality went above and beyond. Krista was out of town but responded to each message I sent within an hour or less. She was very responsive. I appreciated the laminated list of contact numbers including emergency numbers that was provided in case anything came up. The setup was well organized and there are many rooms, plenty of space for a group of 6-8. I was alone and felt like it was overly spacious for just me but I was happy to have the space and it was still the least expensive accommodations I could find in St. Lucia. Great value. Though Krista was out of town her mother, aunt and cousin all helped me with whatever I needed. Her cousin showed me where the best beach was and we had good conversation about the area along the way. This is a place you should come to if you are looking for a more authentic St. Lucia experience, not something very touristy. You won't come across many tourists there but there is a lot to do in the area and people are friendly. I felt very safe walking around alone. I mentioned that I was interested in sustainability, agriculture and local food and Krista went out of her way to tell me about a groundbreaking project she is actively involved in called "Establishing Sustainable Energy Cells in the Community of Choiseul, Saint Lucia". They also have an onsite vegetable garden and when I arrived there was a huge bowl full of fruit and veggies from the garden for me to eat during my stay (at no extra charge FYI). I could go on but I will sum up to say that while there are certainly imperfections (no air conditioning - which wasn't really too bad since there were lots of windows and a breeze, and there being a loud party across the street until 2am on my last night - which is no one's fault obviously) the hospitality, authentic experience and the overall value can't be beat. If you want a comfy resort experience this probably isn't for you but if you are a little adventurous and looking for something more authentic I think you'll be happy here.

  • We had a great time at krista! Krista and her family take care of you very much and always have a lot of going out and visiting tips. The apartment is very large and was on our arrival very clean and well maintained. La Fargue is very good if you want to live something "off the beaten track". We did not see a single tourist there during our time :). We would like to thank Krista and her family for the really great and successful holiday!

  • Conveniently located apartment in small St Lucian village of La Fargue, far away from all the big touristy resorts. We did most by sightseeing by bus and some affordable taxi rides by a friendly local. Shop downstairs provides basic goods such as water, beer and eggs. Very friendly family that also runs the shop downstairs. Great base for exploring the south of the Island and getting a taste of local life. Thanks!

Les Anolis is a charming one-bedroom apartment. Located within 20 minutes walk from a secluded Caribbean beach, it will let you enjoy all the comfort you need at an affordable rate. A perfect get-away from every day routine! Conveniently located 20 minutes from the International airport and close to many of the islands best attractions in the South of the island.
Kaï Papaï is set amidst enchanting greenery on which the fiery sun rays reflect their golden tones. On the bamboos that sway rhythmically to the silent melody of the aromatic marine breeze, dozens of colorful birds twit and chat lightheartedly. As humming birds begin their daily rounds of the flowers the picking of fruit for breakfast starts. Depending on the season, you will find a selection of exquisite fruits on your breakfast table, ranging from juicy mangoes and refreshing papayas to bright yellow star fruits or the most palatable passion fruit in the Tropics. All these wonders are organically grown with love and care by our nature-oriented family on the villa's half-acre plot.
The house is located in a beautiful area not far from the Pitons, in between the beaches of Choiseul, Piaye and Vieux-Fort. Included in your stay: we'll take you for free to one of the last preserved black-sand turtle-laying beaches of the South. For waterfall lovers, the neighbouring parish of River Doree brags a silver-threaded stream which tumbles along at the bottom of a canyon 150 feet deep. A bridge, barely 20 feet wide, crosses it from side to side. If you stand on the bridge and drop a stone, several seconds go before you hear the splash as it hits the water. Within walking distance also lies the Saltibus Waterfall Trail, a two-hour trek through a verdant, shady, rainforest at the end of which you will be rewarded by a swim in a series of waterfalls. Further North, the pearl-black sand beach of Sabwisha offers the tranquility of the Caribbean sea next to the village of Choiseul. On your way back, you could also visit the Maison créole, a charming little artifact museum.
  • You can expect a warm welcome. The accommodation is simple but pleasant. The garden with its medicinal plants is very pleasant and soothing. Sylvie is very responsive at the time of booking and willingly gives plenty of useful information. She is a very friendly contact also during exchanges by email. An address that we highly recommend.

    Hélène2019-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is wonderful, so happy to have chosen Sylvie as my host YOU GUYS HAVE TO CHECK THIS PLACE OUT ! I had already stayed at another of her listings so I knew how sweet and knowledgeable she is. Her daughter is great help too! Be sure ask them for tips when you come. The studio is really beautiful, with a view of the lush garden and hammock to look at the stars at night. The breakfast is also really good, with insta-worthy fruit plates fresh from the garden, homemade jams, local bread, muesli, coffee, pressed fruit juice, I ate so much! Sylvie even let me take some herbs growing just in front of the terrace for lunch! So close to nature, with Piaye, Laborie and Choiseul beaches a short bus ride away. Sylvie also showed me the beautiful black sand beach 15 mn walk away, maybe 20 if you have a kid, very safe and peaceful. We brought the dogs there to run on the beach, they’re so sweet, it was one of the highlights of my trip. I didnt' even see any tourists at the beach during my entire stay and I noticed some turtle nests in the sand, really awesome!! The best thing about this guesthouse is the atmosphere, way less touristy than up North and you can see Ninne and Sylvie really care about this island. I absolutely recommend this place. You haven’t done St Lucia right if you didn’t come to relax here !!

  • I felt so welcome, everyone at Kai Papai were so friendly and helpful! It's a lovely wee place to stay and it was nice to see the local side of St Lucia rather than just the tourist bits! Make sure you visit piaye beach just down the road. It's beautiful and you have it pretty much to yourself! I would definitely recommend coming here to stay, I had a fabulous time! Wish I could have stayed longer.

  • Foncez..Foncez We spent 6 days with Sylvie and her two children. We wanted to be quiet, away from big cities, noisy hotels (music ..). We found our little piece of paradise. We were a bit worried about the different buses to take..error..Les locates informed us..and even accompanied to the bus stops. The exchanges were very rewarding. In addition, Sylvie and Ninne organize an all-inclusive week's stay. They take care of your children by offering them manual activities all in English and with the children of the island. It's awesome.. So parents .. took advantage of this opportunity to blow between adults. Do not hesitate to contact Sylvie for more information.

  • Nice place set away from the main locations for a more authentic trip to the island.

    Chris2018-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Sylvie and her family are very available to inform you and indicate all the beautiful places to visit, especially the authentic places and off the beaten track. There are many beautiful places to see in Choiseul and the surrounding area. Small local buses make it easy to visit the island. The studio is very nice with a terrace (and a hammock :)) overlooking the garden. It's a little corner of paradise where you are awoken by the singing of birds!

    Maya2017-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • The small studio was perfect for 2 people. We cooked every night and found everything we needed. The terrace invites you to linger, the garden is unique. But what makes the accommodation so special is the hospitality of the family. The first morning we were surprised with a delicious breakfast and daily we got water. Also, there was a lot of information about the area and what you could do. Top! The price performance ratio is not to be exceeded, we would have paid double.

  • My father had a wonderful 3 week stay here, so much so he extended by a week. The location was fantastic with great views of the Pitons. Vinaya provided excellent communication before and during the stay. The apartment was very clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. We hope to use this apartment again in the future and highly recommend it. Thanks Vinaya for your excellent hospitality!

  • Wonderful, rural, and spacious apartment with beautiful views of the pitons and ocean. Nighttime view of the stars was unbelievable. Vinaya was easy to get ahold of when needed. Great place to stay away from the hustle of the city. Host went out of her way to ensure all of our needs were met, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

  • Vinaya is incredibly kind, hospitable, and helpful. She met us at the airport on arrival and guided us to the house, which is even more beautiful In person than in photos. She provided us with lots of advice and local recommendations. The house is very clean and included all basic amenities we needed - coffee maker, cookware, washing machine, towels and some basic toiletries. The beautiful semi-private beach is a 15 minute walk away. Vinaya’s uncle, who lives on the beach, is incredibly kind and generous and volunteered additional tips/resources for our stay. We rented a car and went grocery shopping in vieux fort on the way from the airport. Overall a wonderful experience, made so by Vinaya and her family, and I plan on staying here again in the future

    Zoe2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Absolute welcoming and cozy! We had such a good time at Vinaya that we came back two weeks later on the return voyage of our trip. Thanks to you and your uncle for your great hospitality, the local suggestions and the overall vibe. We felt very welcomed and really enjoyed the easygoing attitude, the helpfulness and the great location and surroundings!

  • My mom and I had a great time staying at Vinaya’s place. It was a beautiful house with an amazing view. Kitchen was fully stocked with appliances, fresh fruit, and coffee/tea, and there were toiletries and towels nicely arranged in the bathroom. We were within walking distance of a very nice, secluded beach at the base of Gros Piton. We were within 5 minutes drive of Gros Piton Nature Trail. 20 minutes to Soufriere. Very convenient! Vinaya greeted us at the door and checked in on us every day and even messaged to make sure we got back home safely. Her uncle took us down to the restaurant down the street and showed us where the beach was. House was easy to find by typing “Vin’s Agri Tour” into google maps, and Vinaya gave great instructions in her messages. Vinaya was very quick to respond to messages and was very attentive to any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again!

  • I had a blast, my second time visiting st Lucia for 2019 and my second time staying there for this year, so that alone speaks for itself, can’t see myself staying anywhere else in st Lucia , it’s a calm and relaxing place, I feel at home , hopefully I get time off work to go back in August.....what can I say , guess my wife and myself fell in love with her place ....very quiet and peaceful , see you soon Vinaya...

    Ignatius2019-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Vinaya is a totally dedicated host to make sure your stay is as good as possible. She and her family are very friendly and available to help you when the need arises. This part of the island is the most beautiful and the most interesting. You are entitled to authentic people and it is a change of scenery of the most memorable with the quality of the horizons always inspiring. Small advice and not just for this corner of the island, if you rent a vehicle, invest a little more for a car a little higher than the most basic option. We did not have a problem with the small economy car, but the little jeep tempted us several times. Thank you Vinaya and see you soon!

    Mathieu2019-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • Hospitality : When we arrived, our host had prepared a big bowl of fresh local fruits for us: bananas, guavas, mangos, grapefruits. The beds and the towels were arranged in a lovely way and she left us with a bottle of white wine. Vinaya has been very helpful all along the way. We asked her a lot of questions during our stay and she made some suggestions and gave us the informations we needed. She checked on us everyday by email, phone or in person to make sure we were okay and would ask us on our plans for the next day in case we needed some assistance. The house : sThe house is just lovely. There is an AC in the big bedroom and a regular fan in the small bedroom. It is very windy so no need for ac in the house. Sometimes, at the end of the day, we wouldn’t have much pressure or water. The location : If you are looking for something different outside of the resorts and touristic areas, Vinaya’s house is perfect for you ! Her mother lives near the house and her oncle lives on the Anse Ivrogne beach which is about 15 minutes walk down the road. We always felt safe there because of the family living around the house. They all looked after us. Also, the locals are all so nice and friendly. If you are not sure where you’re going, just ask and people will help you. The beach : You turn right next to “The view” restaurant, where you can have dinner while watching the sunset. The way to the beach is a bit steep going down so be careful, but it is so worth it. The shore is very calm, there are tourists sometimes but it’s mainly quiet and local people. You can also do some snorkeling freely. There’s not many bright colourful corals, but we’ve seen many different fishes such as little squids, parrot fish, garden eels, brain coral and more. Gros Piton : Not only the place is really nice, but the view from the windows and outside the house are great. You are also very close to the Gros Piton ! You can walk for 25 minutes up the road and find the trail that leads to the Gros Piton hike. We didn’t climb to the top, but we did go at the beginning of the trail to get some homemade ice cream at Au Poye Park. I highly recommend the banana one and the chocolate one ! Activity : sThere is also a tour you can do called “Vin’s agri-tour”. It is about the art of traditional pottery made by her mom. You see every step of the process, starting with finding the clay all the way to working it, modeling it and cooking it. After seeing the whole process, you are invited to an hands-on experience where you get to mold your own little creation. There is also a little store on site where you can buy some of her mom’s work. We really enjoyed this tour, it is an impressive labor that is tedious and noble. We recommend it ! Travelling : sWe mainly took the bus because we didn’t feel comfortable driving on the left side and on these challenging roads. Every morning, there are a bus at 6am and one at 7am that gets you to Soufrière that would cost you 5 EC. The prices depends on where you are going though. There are buses all day, but after these two first ones, they are unpredictable because the buses leave only when they are full. We just started walking until a bus came our way. Worked out fine! You can also take a taxi, but they are expensive. The easiest thing to do is to rent a car, but it is doable by bus. Know that it is NOT recommended to walk to the next villages for it is further than google map will indicates because of the states or the roads.

Avalon Villa is the perfect place to enjoy an authentic Caribbean experience with stunning ocean views and beautiful surroundings With the jaw dropping Les Pitons a UNESCO Heritage site as your backdrop and the Caribbean Sea unfolding in front of your eyes it is time to grab your favourite book and/or cold beverage and just relax and take it all in. Our Villa is within walking distance to world class beaches and Les Pitons! There is so much to do on the beautiful island of St. Lucia... Enjoy!
Amazing property with great views of the ocean and adjacent to the Pitons Natural reserve park. Close proximity to world class beaches and restaurants.
Walking distance to beaches, Pitons amazing sites , Tet Paul walking trails. Short driving distance to world class restaurants, supermarket and shops.
  • The two of us stayed at Villa Avalon from 1st to 14th March 2020. Initially we picked an over-zealous Customs Agent at the Airport who delayed our arrival due to them not being aware of the Villa, as it was new, but it was resolved. The villa is tucked away some 45 minutes from the airport. We chose Martins Taxis to pick us up at the airport and drop off our rental Suzuki 4x4. It is very difficult to find the Villa if you haven't been there before so a Taxi is a must. Also a must is a 4x4 as a lot of the roads in St Lucia are quite challenging with potholes, steep grades and bends as well as no signs. Dropping the 4x4 off at the Airport on our return made the best sense. The location of the Villa is very quiet and the views are amazing both over the Caribbean to the South (including the island of St Vincent) and to Gros Piton which dominates the other view to the North. The villa is adjacent to, but not part of, the Tet Rouge Resort which provides the Management and Housekeeping. The Villa is brand new and is very well furnished and equipped. The hardwood floors and stairway are really lovely. Also we especially liked the outside shower. Although we were concerned initially that the Villa is not air-conditioned, in reality it wasn't needed as air flow through the Villa kept it cool at all times despite usual daytime temperatures of 31C +/-. Probably our favourite part of the Villa was the amazing infinity pool. It is really large (about 28'x10') 7' deep at one end. It was always clean and refreshing. Many hours were spent in there, relaxing and looking at the View over the Caribbean. As this was quite a new addition to AirBnB we needed a few items which the Owner quickly provided through the on-site Management Team. They also provided some supplies upon arrival, as requested, until we could could go to the Supermarket in Souffriere the next day to get our provisions. Although the immediate area is a little short of restaurants, a 15-20 drive takes you to at least 6 world class restaurants, most with stunning views. There are many other attractions about the same distance away: beaches, volcanos, ziplines, plantations etc.. In summary, although the Villa is situated in a rural St Lucian setting, it is a 15-20 minute drive to some of the most stunning sights, restaurants and attractions on the Island. The Owner was very responsive both before, and during, our stay which we appreciated. We would certainly love to stay there again in the future.

  • Avalon was the perfect ending to my trip in St. Lucia! Super responsive and accommodating management team with prompt communication... Gorgeous villa tastefully decorated with an amazing infinity pool looking over the sea. The outdoor shower with Piton view was awesome. Great location close to Soufriere not that far from even Laborie or Vieux fort. I would stay here again and for sure!!

  • Location: If you're looking for a quiet escape this is your place. Not super close to restaurants, supermarket but within 30-45 mins drive. Space: Great space, nice design, recently constructed. Host: Very accommodating, friendly and easy to reach. Overall: You will enjoy your stay here if you want a nature escape away from the regular tourist experience.

  • This is the perfect place for a private relaxing vacation . If you are looking for a remote place wih an ocean view this is a wonderful choice. The views are great, you get ocean and the piton mountain . The villa was better than we were expecting . The pool is private to the villa . There is a small market walking distance where my husband and I would get our food and drinks. The locals that live in the village are very friendly, made a few friends even. There is 2 beaches walking distance , about a 15 min hike. If hiking some hills is not something you can or would do, we would recommend renting a 4x4 vehicle . The beaches however are nearly private. A couple times we had the entire beach to ourselves. The piton mountain is also very close. There was some worry when we first arrived about the location because we were expecting to be walking distance from markets , restaurants, shopping ect. For the villa was listed in soufriere, it was a village away. We discussed this with the host, and not only did he call Airbnb to get the location accuracy fixed immediately but he offered to pay for a few taxi rides to town and bought us dinner!!! Also, there was a treat upon arrival for us for it was our honeymoon. The property manager Garvin was also very helpful. He is comparable to a movie character that is not one of the main characters, but always shows up at unexpected times to help save the day. We felt safe, well taken care of and worry free so we could truly enjoy the stay.

  • Best place ever!! We have been all over the amazing island of St. Lucia but the southern part of the island is by far our favourite with the amazing Pitons in the backdrop , unspoiled beaches, lush vegetation and some hidden restaurant gems and boutique resorts. Within 15 min drive there are great restaurants such as Boucan by Chocolat, Mango Tree, Country Breeze, Bamboo and others. There is also lots to do in the area with amazing walks on the Piton trails, Tet Paul, rainforest, Diamond Botanical Gardens in Soufriere and many more. One of best beaches in the Caribbean, Sugar Beach is within 15-20 min drive from the villa and is truly breathtaking nestled between the Pitons! The Villa itself is amazing and you can see that the owners put a lot of attention in all the details from the beautiful hardwood floors all through the house , designer sinks in the bathroom and fully equipped kitchen with all the modern amenities. Everything is brand new and it seems that the house is only a few months old... this would explain how we were able to f find such a hidden accommodation gem at a very reasonable price for us at the peak of the season in that beatiful area if the island! The bedrooms also have amazing views of the Ocean and the Pitons and have full terraces on both to enjoy your morning coffee and enjoying the great views. One of my favourite experiences was taking a shower in the outdoor shower that is by the pool with one of the Piton peaks literally hanging over you... amazing experience! I wish my shower at home had this kind of view :) The whole villa has an openness of space and lots of light coming through all the large windows. The only problem was our short stay as we only had spent 4 days there. I wish we would have stayed at least a week as there is so much to do and enjoy in the area. We have trully enjoyed our stay and will come back in a heart beat!

  • Great place, Eloi is a friendly person, with very good advices. The location is very well situated, and very well equiped.

  • The environment is exceptional, at the foot of the big peak, in a beautiful nature. The accommodation is superb, perfectly equipped and very clean. Finally, Eloi is an exceptional host, very kind and courteous. All the ingredients were there to spend a very pleasant stay at Eloi that we highly recommend, do not hesitate a second!

  • Thanks Eloi - great location - perfect for a trip to hike the piton! And thanks for the wax apples! :)

    Emma2019-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay in the guesthouse of Eloi and Joan. It is a quiet and relaxing place at the foot of Gros Piton. Room very clean and well equipped kitchen. If the accommodation is a little out of the way, our hosts did everything to make our stay easy. The beautiful beach of Anse Drogne is 25 minutes walk. The accommodation is also close to the trails for pitons and Sugar beach. It is better to be transported to visit the surroundings.

    Manu2019-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay with Eloi and Joan from start to finish. Eloi picked us up from the airport and stopped at a supermarket on the way. Their home is a little out of the way but in a beautiful and quiet location. There is a beach (Anse Ivrogne) about 20mins downhill which is well secluded but lovely right underneath the Gros Piton. The apartment is right on the road to the Gros Piton hiking trail and close to beautiful cocoa plantations. The bus stop to town is less than 5mins walk away. Overall the area is very quiet and local. There aren’t any restaurants too close by so it is best to plan to cook your meals. Note that the last bus from town comes around 3.30/4:00pm but it is possible to take a bus for Choiseul and stop on the way and walk about an hour through lush cocoa plantations to get home. While it would be best to have your own vehicle, if you are flexible and don’t mind walking, this is a great spot to get away from it all. The apartment had everything we needed including a well-functioning AC in the bedroom. They had some wonderful fruits and local tomatoes from the garden picked for us upon arrival which was a nice touch and everyday, we would find some fresh mangoes on the table. The view from the property is stunning and there is space to sit and contemplate. Eloi drove us into Soufriére every day of our stay which was out of his way and showed us all the important sights so we wouldn’t be lost. He then came and picked us up when an incident meant that we missed the last bus from town. He was always available by phone and gave us great advice for what to do locally. Joan is also lovely. She is a masseuse and available if arranged ahead of time. I highly recommend staying with Eloi and Joan for a comfortable and relaxing holiday. We would have stayed much longer!

  • Eloi’s place is great. Very spacious, clean and nicely designed. It has everything you neeed away from home. The surroundings are breathtaking. There are a few beaches around. Soufrière village, Botanical garden and Sugar beach are around 15 minutes driving from bEloi’s place. The way

  • Gloria is a warm, genial and a charming host. If you are seeking a restful, relaxing refuge from the normal of pace of life then visit Balenbouche. Beautiful large estate gardens (formally a sugar plantation) of open grass and mature trees. The hummingbirds will visit the flowers under your balcony at regular intervals. I would recommend a short walk down to the old sugar mill which is slowly being reclaimed by nature. The location is perfect for exploring the south of the island from beaches to rainforest trails, but this is made easier with your own transport rather than relying the local bus provision. We would be very happy to stay here again.

    Andy2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is exactly as described and is equipped with everything you need for self-catering. It is quiet, away from the street in a large, very well-kept garden. Gloria welcomed us warmly and was always available for information. From here you can very well explore the south of the island. A rental car is recommended.

  • I truly enjoyed my stay at One Hamilton Place. It really felt like my home away from home. I was so comfortable there that I actually envisioned me staying there on a more long term basis. Everything was just as the previous reviews mentioned. It was so peaceful and relaxing. I highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

  • This is an absolutely beautiful property! Mango trees and flowers everywhere. The mangoes were so delicious, none other can compare. The amenities were perfect for our needs and the touches such as kitchenware and local tips made our trip perfect. He restaurant recommendations were spot on! She also provided some breakfast items which got us started in the morning before heading out and we really appreciated that. We felt very safe the entire time and the nights were beautiful when sitting on the patio. Gloria was also a wonderful host, greeting us when we pulled up, showing us all the ropes and spending plenty of time to answer any questions. Would I've to stay again!

    Sarah2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful time at Gloria’s place. The apartment was bright, light and cheerful. I loved the view from every window. The apartment was equipped with everything I needed for my stay. I originally chose Gloria’s place because it aligned with my vegan lifestyle. However, it exceeded my expectations. Gloria has cultivated a sustainable and organic oasis in St. Lucia. On the property you have access to an array of organic fruits (many I have never experienced), plants for teas, tropical flowers and a breathtaking creek to marvel and explore. Or you can you can simply just relax on the hammock. The property was a peaceful restorative retreat that left me feeling grounded. I can’t wait to go back. If you’re a nature lover this property has everything and more. If you’re not, you will become one!

    Marcia2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Gloria has a very fitting name. Our stay at her property was nothing short of glorious. Outstanding hospitality, cleanliness and comfort are just a few words that reflect our overall experience. The studio is spacious, well decorated and maximizes natural light while offering privacy. The property is massive and perfect for those who enjoy walking or jogging outdoors for fitness like me. Free fruit from her trees are a nice bonus. Gloria is a true gem and stellar Airbnb host. A stay with her is one you won’t regret.

    Natasha2019-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at Gloria's gorgeous property for 5 days and completely loved the whole time! Gloria is a gem & was all about making sure our stay was what we hoped it would be! Her property is the best to return to from the hustle & bustle of being out & about!! We highly recommend Gloria's place to anyone that wants experience St Lucia!

    Shannon2019-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • We greatly enjoyed our stay at Gloria’s place! The small kitchen allowed us to cook dinners and the patio was a great place to read or have a beer. Gloria was warm and friendly and offered plenty of suggestions of things to do and places to eat. We would stay here again! Thank you!

  • Super fun place! The 2 bdrm was spacious, very clean, and like somethingI have never experienced! It was a bit like "glamping" as everything is wide open to the outside. We felt very safe, and they have netting for sleeping (take bug spray tho if you are liked by mosquitos !) The FOOD WAS AMAZING! Beautiful breakfasts every morning, and we took advantage of when they cooked dinner, my only complaint is that they don't cook every night! The location was perfect perfect perfect for all the south island activities. We did all of of their suggested activities. Thanks again, we will be back!

  • Balenbouche estate is an amazing place to visit. My family and I felt immediately at home and was shown great hospitality by Uta and her family & staff. The heritage of the estate is unique, it was a privilege staying somewhere so historical. We look forward to returning!

  • We spent a wonderful week in the subtropical dream, away from all tourist noise, quite calm and idyllic with our loving hosts Uta and Verena. The cottage was comfortable and very quiet. Everything was just right. With a big thank you to Uta and Verena.

  • Super hospitality. Delicious breakfast! A true nature lover’s paradise. Highly recommend renting a car to explore the island. Don’t forget to bring your insect repellant!

  • We absolutely loved our time at Balenbouche. The grounds were stunning and the cottage was comfy and adorable. It felt like we had stepped out of time and into a dream. If you are looking for a special place to relax and reconnect with nature you could do no better. Every day at some point my husband and I would look around us in amazement at the beauty and charm. Everyone was so pleasant and we made great friends not only with the humans but also with the dogs and the cows! We will never forget our stay there, and we look forward to making our way back to this beautiful corner of the world in the future.

  • This was one of the best experiences I ever had on Airbnb and we travel a lot. Uta, her daughter and all the wonderful servers on the property we so friendly and hosted us like like kings. Or, i felt like that at least. They made us dinner and breakfast and it was delicious! The property is stunning, situated in a jungle, on old sugar cane plantation. What an amazing walks I had there. Thank you so much for everything Uta!

    Sasha2018-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • I can't say enough about this place! I am totally in love. The owners are the sweetest, most professional I've encountered, the grounds are beautiful and wild, the food was out of this world, the cottage was open and airy, full of character and charm. I felt at peace here and look forward to returning again someday. We came with a three year old and they couldn't have been more accommodating. It was five star service in a wonderfully eco jungle retreat. One day we had geckos in our shower. Another day my daughter spotted an adorable frog on the wall of the bedroom. If wildlife freaks you out this isn't the place for you but for my family and I ... it was heaven. The owner uta gave us a tour of the grounds where we discovered an old abandoned sugar factory and a private beach. My only complaint is that we didnt stay long enough!! I could have used a few more days to sit on those swings in the cottage listening to the birds and exploring the property and nearby Laborie (where you can buy off the boat fresh tuna from the fisherman at the market!). Hugs to uta and her daughters. See you again hopefully someday soon! :)

  • Really enjoyed our stay at Meraius's home. The family was very welcoming and showed amazing hospitality throughout our month-long stay. Meraius was always easily available via Whatsapp if we needed anything, and gave great local tips and suggestions. The home itself was very clean, and the gorgeous view cannot be emphasized enough. If I return to St. Lucia I would definitely come back and stay here.

Local restaurants and beautiful Laborie beach nearby so we were able to go for a swim first thing in the morning before we left for the rest of our trip north. Thanks for a great stay!

  • There isn't much I can add to what others have said. The photos don't do it justice. Gorgeous home, amazing location and view. Staff is wonderful. We asked for as much privacy as possible and everyone was so respectful. Be sure to ask for the mattress topper Dian has stored away if you like a softer mattress!

  • We stayed in Sugar Beach our first time in St. Lucia and the bar that place sets is pretty high, so we were debating to do that again or check out a private home like this. I can say with 100% certainty, the Calabash house is 5x the experience. I wouldn't even consider another resort on the island. AMAZING in every regard. best possible view. the place is bigger than you think. the pool is in immaculate condition. our breakfast chef and concierge was Cassandra and her service was 5-star. every day. a new 3-course breakfast that changed daily. Fresh tropical fruits. Smoothies. Pancakes. Muffins. wonderful basil omelettes, etc etc. Best coffee ready for you when walk out of your room. Chef Basil's lunch and dinner was better than Dasheene, Boucan, etc. would do this at least 2-3 times. The air conditioned guest room was far bigger than expected. the open air bedroom is open but also private. the lush tropical plants surrounding the pool provide real privacy without hindering the view. It has a private beach entrance. private dock for water taxi pull ups. 5-10 min walk to main soufriere for catamaran tours, supermarket, ATM, etc. the drivers were all so wonderful and timely and easy to work with. 10/10. 5 stars. the music that some reviews mention was a non-event for us. no issue at all.

    Kyle2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • Calabash House was absolutely incredible. If you’re not considering staying here you are making a mistake. You will never get the personal experience at a resort that you get at this house. Dian knows the island very well and is an excellent guide to all the adventures you want to take. The house and views are indescribable. We took personal excursions and trips, hiked Gros Piton, among many other things. Breakfast cooked daily was excellent and all of the staff at the house were warm and welcoming. We recommend you consider staying here for your trip to St Lucia!

    Royce2019-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Calabash House. Dian goes above and beyond as a host -- she was there to greet us on arrival, helped us with food on our first night, and with reservations and advice throughout the trip. The house itself is architecturally very cool, with a wide, open design nestled into the hillside overlooking Soufriere. It's different from most Airbnbs in that it has a full staff; a chef to cook you breakfast, a housekeeper, a gardener, and a security/super for overnights, all of whom were exceptionally nice. I loved that the house was all open-air aside from one bedroom ("inside" people may see this as a negative, but I was into it). It is tranquil at times but you will also hear the music & noise of Soufriere below you, especially at night, so if you're looking for total silence, this may not be your place, but as city folk it never really bothered us -- I mostly just tuned it out and relaxed. Overall this was a unique, memorable Airbnb experience run by some great people, and we would stay here again in the future.

    Luke2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Simply paradise. Stunning secluded open-air home in the heart of Soufriere. Breathtaking Piton views and direct beach access. Beyond perfection. Can’t wait to return.

    Sarah2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • What a great time the Calabash house was. Dian and her staff are truley wonderful pepole. The location of this property is perfect it is only 10-15min taxi ride or water taxi ride from great restuarnts and beaches. Cassandra is the lovely local women who makes breakfast every morning. Her food is awsome so good!! She will also help make reservations for the week wether it be dinner or activites. She was so very helpful. A-dedb the security guard he is a local man who grew up on the island. He makes you feel very comfortable and will be there to walk you in at night and is a stones throw away from the house if anything were to happen or you need anything. He is also a unbelievable hand wood carver, make sure to ask to see some of his work its awsome. The best part of the trip for us was capt Daniels boat ride. We did some cliff jumping and took a boat ride to castries. Make sure to look up Feel Good water taxi service he is more than a taxi service. The young man Levi who works for capt Daniel is also a great kid and made are day great we had a blast with him. The only draw back on this rental property is the open air room. It can get noisey at times while your sleeping between the music comeing from the village, waves and crickets. So just keep that in mind. Overall the staff, location, and experience was all so great and I recommend staying at the Calabash House. Thanks for the great time Dian!!!

    Luke2019-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Calabash house! The house and location are beautiful!! We loved the view! It is also in a great location, close to town, Hummingbird Beach, and all that Soufriere has to offer. The staff at Calabash house are wonderful and we enjoyed the daily breakfast! Dian is a great host and always willing to offer suggestions or help make arrangements during your stay. The house is open air, so can be noisy and exposed to bugs, but we loved the house and really enjoyed sleeping in the open air bedroom. Thanks for a great stay!

    Heather2019-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Do yourself a favor and stay at the Calabash House on your next St. Lucian vacation! My wife and I just returned from our honeymoon. The house is absolutely amazing as it sits right above the town of Soufriere. But it’s Dian and her staff that makes this stay one of a kind. From the daily breakfast to the maid service to the security, we always felt safe and comfortable. One word of advice: wait to book any tours or excursions or meals until you’re there. Dian will not only provide recommendations, but she’ll make you a reservation, tell you what time to go for the best experience and provide some insider tips of what to do and where to go or sit. Also, do the massage and dinner with chef. Both were fantastic!

  • We had a lovely stay here, clean and cosy in a beautiful area, good access to all the sites in Soufriere if you have a car. Any issues we had were solved quickly by Conrad. We would be happy to stay here again.

  • Welcome, punctuality, cleanliness of the place and especially kindness of our host Conrad. Everything is according to the description, the carbet for moments of relaxation is a plus. What more can you say about this excellent address, if you are looking for authenticity, calm and a "nature" environment for a stay in the heart of the Pitons region.

  • I was very pleased with the accommodations and amenities offered. The apt was sparkling clean, the location was great. Close to all the things I wanted to do. I liked the private entrance and the kitchenette. Nice upstairs patio to have a couple drinks and observe the street. The AC was great for a few warm nights. Fresh towels and bed spreads. It’s located close to a bus stop in case travelers want to experience public transportation. Two churches are located close by. There’s plenty of local shops in the area to grab last minute necessities. Exploring the community is great. Lots of great Mountain views and challenging hills to go jogging and get some exercise. Nice patio for yoga. I loved my stay here and definitely would stay again!!!

Its very quiet and bounding with nature.
  • Simon's place was perfect. Gorgeous views and a beautiful, spacious flat made for a comfortable stay. Simon is an incredible host, and is a gateway to adventures all over the island. Highly recommended.

  • Beautiful view from the Villa! A little far from everything but easily accommodated with the hosts for rides to attractions or town, it does add up though. Very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area

    Christina2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent welcome at Simon and Marina's in this island to discover. Their Villa is perfectly suited for 4 people, well equipped, maintained and a breathtaking view of the Gros Piton (sunset guaranteed). Quiet in the countryside, near Soufriere and the southwest of the island, the hamlet is isolated. A car is recommended. Otherwise, a bus stop (very picturesque local Minibus) is close by. Simon can also offer you Taxi and Guide services. Pierre and Sylvie

  • Simon and his lovely wife are gracious host. The view from the Villa is worth the price of admission. My family and I woke up to the most breathtaking rainbow in between both Pitons. Location is perfect for getting to beaches and into town of Soufriere by taxi or car. The bonus is Simon has runs his own Excursions company! Everyone knows "Simon says" in town. Enjoy!

  • We had such an amazing experience here. It’s a little hidden gem. The place is clean and quiet with beautiful views. Simon and his family, including Cookie the dog, were super friendly and so hospitable. Besides providing airport pick up and drop off, we hired Simon to take us on an island tour and to/ from group activities for the wedding we were attending. He made travel on this trip very seamless and even took us to the store to get items for our stay. I highly recommend the Grand View Villa. Whether you want to enjoy some solitude or experience the essence of St. Lucia, you’ll be in capable hands.

    Sadee2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect local experience. The house has an amazing Caribbean vibe and the views are out of this world. Simon and his wife are lovely people and know St. Lucia like no one else. I highly recommend this place if you want to stay in the most beautiful part of St. Lucia.

    Josh2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Simon's place is located within 15-20 minutes of most of the island's main attractions, and has a very nice view of the Pitons. The photos don't do it justice! He's a great host, and makes sure his guests are cared for. He and his family live next door, so communication was done the old-fashioned way--talking face-to-face! If there's anything you want to do or see on the island, just ask Simon, and he'll hook you up with a tour. Do it--it's well worth it!

    Nicholas2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay. We had plenty of space. The view was great! The home was clean, nicely decorated, had all the amenities we needed. The fresh flowers in the washroom were a nice touch. Great hosts! - Friendly, helpful, accommodating, and easy to communicate with. We would love to return and would definitely recommend it to others.

Stunning Piton View 4 bedroom villa, WiFi, plunge pool, open plan timber villa, cable TV, spacious verandah, open air kitchen, BBQ, meal preparation services available, mosquito nets over beds, 1300ft above sea level so breezy
    Sleeps 8 guests.
More mountainous than the other islands in the archipelago St Lucias' highest point being Mount Gimie at 950m above sea level. This colorful fishing village is wrapped around a beautiful bay and is best seen from an overlook on the main road to Vieux Fort which ascends the hill which forms the southern arm of the bay.
  • I travel all over the place and reside in Alaska. Let me tell you the view on property is un-matched. Couple of quick notes: 1. It is essentially a jungle home, wildlife will be all over the property. 2. The water supply is rainwater. 3. You will want to bring power adapters, & bug repellent. 4. Food will need to be stored somewhere so that wildlife does not eat it. The view is amazing to wake up to, don’t let any of this detour you.

    Michael2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Another wonderful stay in Myrna’s beautiful home. Spectacular Piton views. Just breathtaking. Can’t wait to return.

    Sarah2019-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • The view was spectacular and the photos do not show how big the pool is. Every bedroom has a beautiful view of the Piton. The hosts provided excellent service including extra requests. The car rental they suggested was perfect. It was great to have a car. The villa is also minutes away from two terrific restaurants and around the corner from horseback riding and the hot springs. We enjoyed our stay and felt that it was a terrific value and location. And the view....rainbows across the Pitons most mornings. Beautiful.

This one bedroom cabin is located in Saltibus St Lucia at the forest's edge. A waterfall is located on the property just a minutes walk from the cabin and you can read or write in peace with just the sound of the nearby stream and birds breaking the silence. A tour of a neigbouring former slave sugar and cocoa plantation with ruins can be arranged per group. This includes sampling of fruits and vegetables from neighbouring farms. Please contact the hosts to arrange.
A natural fresh water spring and waterfall with upper and lower pools, is located on property. This free flowing waterfall is a unique feature rarely found at other private accommodations on the island. The water is clean, clear and cool and is ideal for taking a plunge. There are other hidden falls and pools that require a guided tour that the Hosts can arrange. Please note that the villagers also use the river (which under St Lucia Laws is public the estate is private) for bathing (sometimes nude) and washing so don't be alarmed.
It is near a rural village and the villagers are friendly. Most are farmers with neighbouring estates so expect to see the odd farmer as he traverses the valley. Neighbours may be shy at first but a kind greeting can open up a conversation. Expect the locals to go out of their way to assist. This is the St Lucian way so enjoy what is still great St Lucian hospitality. There are small community grocers and bars around so need not worry too much about being a distance from the supermarket chain. Lambert (aka "Brother") can run errands if you ask them nicely.
  • This is an amazing place. Well equipped but much more significant the wildlife and surrounding are outstanding. Fresh fruit for breakfast. The local bars sell basic provisions. Just make sure you wear decent footwear for the steep walk down. As with the rest of the island the drinking water is fine so you don't need to lug that down. Wishing we could have spent longer.

  • We wanted to escape the city for a few days and found the ideal place in Alfred's Jungle Escape! A beautiful place where you can only hear the sounds of the forest and the roar of the river. We enjoyed the bath in the river and the shower under the waterfall. Alfred's house is very lovingly furnished and equipped with everything you need. The arrival and the loving care of Mr. Lambert, who spoiled us with delicious fruit, was very good! We will definitely be back and would be happy to recommend this wonderful property. • A fruitful and peaceful island escape. The property is beautiful with equally beautiful locals. Serenity is defiantly what you will get while staying in this nestled little cabin. Birds and insects of all kinds will be your close neighbors. Hungry? You can pick so many different fruits and vegetables just from your yard! Need some help, just give Lambert a call. Lambert was a spectacular helper who went above and beyond to make you feel welcomed to the community. We defiantly will be back to visit because of how welcomed we felt by this host.

  • Thank you for having us Alfred and Richard, you are great hosts. Advice for future bookers: I booked 3 nights and ended up staying for an additional 19 nights, I dont think I need to say more but I will. This is a truly tranquil place to stay, it is safe and the locals are so friendly - always passing by with greetings and fresh foods. The property is loaded with all kinds of fruit trees and root vegetables, our shopping consisted of poultry, sugar and snacks because we were able to eat from the land. If you are looking to be at one with nature in a safe environment, this is the place for you. May I also add that the hosts are very accommodating. I will be back with other members of my family. I was expecting much less quality due to the price but I can honestly say that this property is great value for the money. I must also mention Brother who maintains the property 6 days a week - he is very helpful, friendly and has great knowledge of the area. Thanks again Alfred, Richard and Brother

    Louise2019-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay, Brother is always on site maintaining the land and picking bags of fruits and ground provisions. He is very friendly and always provides us with some of his picked foods and fresh fruits of which we use to make local juice. I love this place, the property is comfortable and adds to the experience - I would advise that the property is perfect for a true jungle/rainforest experience. If you are expecting 5* accommodation and modern luxury- this is not the place or experience for you. I will be back as the nature of this place this is my idea of luxury and freedom. Thanks Alfred, Richard, Brother and all other helpful and pleasant locals.

    Louise2019-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • BOOK THIS ACCOMMODATION - no questions asked!!! :-) Definitely a spot not to be missed! Our two nights in Saltibus was a highlight during our trip to St.Lucia - a sanctuary in the jungle that most visitors to the island do not experience. The grounds keeper and his son were wonderful - fresh fruit in the morning, easy communication and beautiful guided walks to the surrounding rivers and waterfalls. It is a private location - hence "sanctuary" - which we really appreciated. We would have liked to stay longer and will certainly be booking again if ever we make it out to the island.

  • Sweet breezes is an amazing place to stay!! It has everything you need to have a wonderful vacation. Simon is super easy to communicate with and very helpful and Gavin ( who looks after the place) will make sure your stay is perfect. Trust me, you want to stay here

  • We couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Sweet breezes had everything we expected and even more. I was so glad to find a brand new Weber charcoal bbq! The view is fantastic and it's just remote enough to allow you to relax fully. Gavin is very friendly and responsive. He gave us all the information we needed in person or through whatsapp. No A/C, no big deal but it felt a bit warm some nights. There is a rough 150m road to get to the house, suv or jeep type vehicles (you need a vehicle) are recommended but we saw regular cars make it without any issues. Go, you won't regret it!

    Francis2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • plenty of space in a rural location, the multiple sun decks are fantastic.

    Ashley2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Simon’s place is perfect. I can’t say enough about what an incredible trip I had and how Simon’s place was the ideal location and setting for my style. My suggestion to anyone who stays here is to make as much use of the rooftop deck as possible. Both of the other decks are incredible as well, but orient yourself on the roof or you’ll be missing one key feature. If you like to chase sunsets don’t bother. This is the best location. ..yes the road isn’t perfect, no where here is-a regular car is fine. No a/c needed-theres a nice breeze. No TV, no problem:) I don’t know what else to say- I just can’t wait to come back. Simon is really easy to communicate with. Gavin, the host, has a wonderful personality and is incredibly kind. The house is lovely. I stayed at other places on this trip-Simon’s place is the best.

    Rebecca2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Sweet Breezes. The accommodation is exactly how it looks in the photographs. The outdoor spaces are definitely the highlight of the property, and reason alone to stay here. A car, in our opinion, is essential for staying here, as others have said it is “out in the sticks” but that is one of the things we loved about it. The beach at the end of the road is not talked about enough - it is truly stunning, and every day we went there, we were the only people on it. The water is warm and clear (we even did some good snorkelling there), the beach is sandy and tidy, and this is all within a 2 minute drive/15 minute walk (very steep hill back!). If you want to experience the “real” St Lucia, and visit all of the beautiful natural wonders it has to offer, then this is the place to stay. Bless up.

    Adam2019-11-18T00:00:00Z

Montete cottages is one of two cottages located in the country side. It's a perfect hideaway for someone who wants to experience country and a quiet atmosphere. Montete cottages is located on an estate with seasonal fruits. Guests are welcome to experience these delicacies during their stay. We also offer car rental services for our guests.
  • Staying in Montete will give you a great contrast to beach locations - and a real sense of the beautiful hilly interior. We found our cottage cosy and comfortable, despite the wind roaring outside. (We coincided with a period of some quite strong winds.) When the wind eased, it was great to have a swing in the hammock and look out over the landscape. We cooked easy evening meals (e.g. pasta and omelettes) and had everything we needed to do so. The location is great for exploring nearby Soufriere, the famous beaches and other attractions (we really liked the Tet Paul walk - fantastic views). We had a car and were quite happy driving around in the daytime. There are potholes and the local roads are narrow, but we coped fine in the Rav 4 we had hired. As others have mentioned, Vicky and her family are very welcoming. We enjoyed an orange they picked from behind our cottage and the fresh coconuts they gave us too. I would very happily stay here again.

    Sarah2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great location amazing view, very clean, Vicky and her husband were really nice

    Caroline2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Vicky’s cottage is the perfect place to stay while exploring southern Saint Lucia. The cottage was very clean and Vicky and her husband are very hospitable. The view from the porch out over the hills is amazing and gives a great view of sunrise. The constant breeze keeps things cool, making it a wonderful place to relax after the heat of the beach. The roads up to the cottage are steep and winding but we had no trouble navigating them. The bed is quite firm and has a lovely view out the window over the hills. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and there was a welcome drink waiting for us in the fridge.

    Judith2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for a quiet restful place with amazing views, gardens with fruit trees on the property that you can pick from and a wonderful family that’s always willing to help in any way Montette Cottage is the place to stay. I would recommend renting a Jeep from them as well, roads are rough but it’s part of the local experience. We had a lovely time!

    Tanya2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Set in a beautiful part of the island up a bumpy, potholed road you will find Montete cottages. The location means its breezy and cooler than on the coast which is a welcome relief if you've spent a day in the sun- and no mozzies here. The accommodation itself is spotlessly clean, has a comfy bed, a kitchenette with enough equipment to make a simple meal and a balcony with hammocks overlooking the family garden which is planted with all sorts of fruit and vegetables that are free for you to enjoy. We will never forget the scent from a fresh lime that we picked from the tree in the garden. There's also a communal area with a plunge pool and loungers and a laundry room. But what makes this place really special is the welcome from Vicky , Luciano and all the family who live in the houses around the estate. We spent New Years Eve with them and throughout our stay were always on hand with help and advice if needed. They also make Cocoa sticks, Guava jelly and Coconut fudge in a kitchen down the lane. If it's a resort you're after then this is not for you but if you like peace and tranquillity and a taste of real St Lucian life then I would thoroughly recommend this place. Hire a jeep from the family and explore the island- it's really beautiful.

Everything in the kitchen and bathrooms were spotless. The pool and back deck/patio were so nice to relax in or to cool down on a hot day. Everything about the place was above and beyond what we expected and everyone we encountered from check-in to check-out were very kind and helpful.

  • This apartment is exactly as shown in the photos and honestly the photos don’t do it enough justice. It is super stylish and up to date with a wide range of amenities from a coffer maker to a combination washer/ dryer . Heather and Erwin Jean are amazing hosts and so very thoughtful . They left my some local fruits and some water which was a lovely welcoming touch. Truly a gem and I can’t wait to come visit again !

  • This place is very good value as you have your own entire place. The backyard is a very nice place to relax. The apartment is very roomy.

  • Heather and Emron were amazing hosts! They both came to greet us when we arrived and when we checked out. Heather is super responsive to texts and checked in with us everyday. If we needed something, Heather was only a text away. Our flight arrived early and Heather accommodated us by letting us check in early. The place was hard for us to find but Heather made sure there was someone home to let us in. The place is so much bigger and nicer in person. The private deck and pool in the back was great. We had an amazing time and will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend this place if you want a local experience away from the crowded and touristy part of the North. Heather's place is only a 21min drive from the Airport and a 1hr 30mins from the North. Can't wait to stay here again next time we're in St. Lucia. Thanks again for the hospitality!

  • All I can say is just Wow!!! This place is just AWESOME, clean and tidy, you sure get value for your money, I only spent one night and I wish I could have spend more time at this place. Heather was a super host, she made sure I was well relaxed and enjoyed this very moment. When I met her we connected, I felt like I had known her for ages. When I arrived at this beautiful breathtaking place we were greeted with cold towels and a glass of rum punch. The outside porch and swimming pool was the place to be if you wanted to chill & relax. The apartment had a washer and dryer and well equipped kitchen and all appliances you require. Heather offered us dinner and I tell you, this was the best local cuisine. I felt like I was at home, everything was on point and well organized. I will definitely come back to this place. Just book the local experience-Samo

If you wish to book and this apartment is not available, please check my other Kaye Coco listed apartment https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/12114028
  • Beautiful spot with a lovely pool to relax in at the end of the day. You will need to rent a car and the car should be four wheel drive as the roads can be harrowing. The rental was clean and nicely kept. Bring ear plugs for the 6am rooster wake up call if you’re a light sleeper!

  • Road is bumpy but the place is nice. Easy to get to lots of places (as easy goes in st lucia)

  • We give Vinel, his property manager, and the other individuals who helped on our stay an A+. The road is rough to get to this hidden hideaway but worth the trek! Staying here gave us an opportunity to adventure around well-known (and some hidden) gems of St. Lucia, accompanied by knowledgable people. A neighbor delivered a delicious meal our first night in, housekeeping kept it nice and clean daily, and the property manager connected us with the best tours possible in a short amount of time from our bucket list of things we wanted to see. We came here after staying within a fancy resort and enjoyed the variety of experiences we had in our time in St. Lucia. It was a beautiful, private "home-base" - close to many desirable place to tour and adventure.

  • We recently spent an amazing vacation at Kaye Coco. The accommodation is a spacious and modern villa, with all the facilities to make our stay like home. The surroundings and the views to the ocean are spectacular; the property garden is a little spot of paradise, and it is well kept by the hard working personnel. All these can be enjoyed while on their private deck, or from the infinity pool. Their stuff is doing a great job by keeping all the facilities clean and functional, and to accommodate our needs. We specially thank our hosts for being kind and prompt with useful answers to our questions and requests for directions. The place has many activities to offer in close range: Local beach, serene with crystal-clear water, the Black Sand beach, the spectacular Sugar beach, the Pitons trail, the Diamond Botanical Garden, Mineral Hot Baths, boat trip featuring the Jade Mountain. We highly recommend this place, and will be glad to choose Kaye Coco again when we visit St Lucia in the future.

  • This is an amazing villa to stay at in Saint Lucia! It is very spacious and clean, and all the staff was so friendly! They really made us feel at home. Sugar Beach was my favourite spot by far. It’s not crowded, it has beautiful views and the snorkeling was incredible. We got a boat tour and went to the Anse Chastenet beach to do snorkeling there as well, highly recommend it! The ziplining near Kaye Coco is also very fun. There are several luxurious restaurants close by car (you can rent one or use the taxi service) as well as some friendly neighbours willing to cook authentic Saint Lucian food for a very affordable price! Vinel was very helpful whenever we needed him to answer our questions and he let the neighbours know when we wanted meals at their place. That said, he also recommended we buy food from the grocery store before coming to Kaye Coco as the area is pretty rural and there aren’t grocery stores within walking distance. We were coming from the north side of the island so we stopped in Soufriere to buy groceries which is about 15 minutes away by car. If you’re coming from the airport, your best bet would be to buy food in Vieux Fort (where the airport is). All in all, it was a fabulous vacation in Saint Lucia and I can’t wait to return to Kaye Coco!

  • From start to finish, our stay was exceptional! The house was simple, but the views & location we're exactly what we were looking for. Everyone we encountered was very nice and very helpful. The perfect launch-point for exploring the southern part of the island and the Soufriere area especially! The roads and driving are not for the faint of heart, but we managed just fine and even got pretty profient after only a couple days (* 4x4 was not necessary... just patient, smart driving). Gavin was awesome in providing local insight and spot-on with every recommendation. We would gladly stay here again. Thank you!

  • Vinel's place is spotless and spacious with great views from the deck. We loved spending our mornings sipping coffee on the lounge chairs overlooking the sea. Although there are other guests nearby, it is designed for great privacy. The deck has plenty of space for a morning yoga practice too :) It's pretty amazing. The kitchen is sparse - 3 pans and two small burners. There are no restaurants or supermarkets nearby, so planning to eat takes effort. Vinel arranged for a neighbor to cook dinner for us for a fee, and it was pretty good! We recommend you do this - especially for your first night. Also - plan to buy your groceries at the supermarket in Viex Fort because there isn't another place on the way. The kitchen had salt, pepper, and sugar packets - so if you need oil or spices or anything else, you need to bring them. The closest beach is a 20 minute walk away - down a very steep road and path, but it is by far the best beach we found on St Lucia. It has no facilities, but it is private - we never saw more than a couple of other tourists there at one time. We felt like we discovered a private hideway! The snorkeling is pretty decent there too. And there's plenty of shade if you need it. When we come back to St Lucia, we will definitely stay near this beach. We spent a day in Rodney Bay and checked out Redduit Beach, and a beach near Pigeon Island, and the beaches at Marigot Bay and Anse Chastinet. We loved our private beach the best. BRING A SOUND CANCELLING MACHINE! The sound of the barking dogs, crowing roosters, goats and music carry on throughout the night and kept us awake a lot. Because there is no a/c, you have to have the windows open to keep the place cool enough. Had we known to bring a white noise machine to drown all that out, we would have slept much better. We'd definitely stay here again.

Kaï Papaï is a spacious villa overlooking the turquoise Caribbean waters with a view of the majestic Gros Piton. Located on the top floor of the villa, Les Dauphins is a large bedroom opening onto a vast patio.
Kaï Papaï is located in a beautiful area not far from the Pitons, in between the beaches of Choiseul, Piaye and Vieux-Fort.
  • Very happy with our stay at Kai Papaï. Would definitely go back!

  • The south of the island is reserved for nature lovers. Wilder than the North, we loved discovering this place again preseve tourist constructions. Keven Sylvie and told us the best places and shared with us their passion for this generous nature. The garden of the house is a good sample. The house is cool, spacious and has all the necessary comfort in an ecological spirit ... of nature, true !!!! Saint Lucia You can travel outside the big hôtels.Merci yet to Sylvie.

  • Sylvie's place is a magical retreat for those seeking an off-the-beaten path adventure. Our beds were extremely comfortable, and Sylvie, her children and Keven were delightful. They took care of even the small details like fixing a slightly torn mosquito net and providing us with a baby bathtub. Sylvie also organized a driver to pick us up from the airport and another to take us up to Rodney Bay after we checked out. She is obviously passionate about supporting the local community, which is wonderful.

  • This is a beautiful place, very large space, you can see the Gros Piton from the huge balcony. The private beach is stunning and takes about a 7-8 minute walk and well worth it! The unit itself has a breezy "tiki-style" layout. The staff are genuinely caring!! Much gratitude for all the help they've done for us! This place is secluded enough for those who are seeking a bit more privacy rather than the busier touristy areas. Overall highly recommended!

  • Excellent location with an amazing view of the pitons and tropical gardens. Close to the most unique and beautiful section of the island that are the pitons area with amazing beaches with almost no tourists. Sylvie and her kids were welcoming and always there to help us. The place has all you need and it's very spacious & relaxing. Thx a lot again!

    Cesar2017-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Sylvie's place was quite enjoyable. We stayed in the les dauphins room, which was the larger room of the two. We had the whole area to ourselves, as the other room was not occupied. Note that there is a shared kitchen & bathroom. Our stay was for 8 nights and we spent each day exploring the area, then relaxing in the late afternoon & evening on the deck. Also to note when we came through immigration they insisted on a phone number of where we were staying, so obtain that in advance. Enjoy!!

    Dennis2017-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sylvie's. The deck was fabulous! It's huge and breezy and it was nice to be able to have all our meals outside. The kids loved swinging on the hammock. Sylvie's children are so friendly and helpful. And a special thanks to Kevin who made sure we were comfortable. He showed us the beach down the road, which is beautiful, made a wonderful breakfast for us, gave us a tour of the garden and even entertained our kids with magic tricks! A wonderful place with wonderful people. Thank you!

  • very warm welcome from Sylvie and Keven. We enjoyed the constant attention of our guests who have really contributed to the success of our stay. The house is lovely with a huge airy terrace. The place is quiet is ideally placed for walking in the south of the island, the wildest and most beautiful part. A beautiful base camp in St. Lucia ...
