Places to stay in Cloquet
Beautiful log cabin on private sunset facing shoreline filled with classic details and many luxuries that will make your stay more than memorable.
Perfect for a quick getaway the cabin is located approximately 20 minutes west of Interstate 35 and is just two hours north of the Twin Cities, and about 1/2 hour from Duluth. The cabin has one bedroom + a loft. It can sleep up to six people (three queen sized beds) in two sleeping areas: two beds in an open loft (accessible by a ladder) and one in the bedroom. There are three levels to the cabin. The loft (ladder access), a window filled main floor with kitchen/living space and a stairway leading to a walk out lower level with window/doors on three sides facing the lake. While the cabin can accommodate six people it is BEST FOR FOUR OR LESS guests. Although they have enjoyed their stays, a few guests with 4+ in their group have found the spaces a bit to cozy--especially in winter for those who don't plan to spend time outside. Lake shore western views from over 1000 sq. feet of wraparound decks with two tables, umbrellas and chairs. There is also a sauna in separate building, wood stove, A/C, in floor radiant heat, and a kitchen filled with high end appliances. Near three state parks: Moose Lake, Jay Cook and Savanna Portage and less than five minutes from Fond Du Lac State forest with thousands of acres with endless ski, snowmobile, and hiking trails. Great fishing lake–nearly 300 acres and is connected to other local lakes, rivers, wetlands. Sadly, NO PETS allowed due to allergies. Other nearby attractions include: golf, Blackbear casino, history centers, whitewater rafting, and the amenities found in Duluth. The home is not suitable for gatherings or parties with more than six guests. Wi-fi is relatively high speed. Netflix, Hulu, HBOGo and Amazon Prime streaming services are available. Available dates are detailed on the airbnb calendar. Note: It's typically not possible to accommodate check-in's on the same day as another party checks out. Sufficient time is needed to adequately clean and prepare the home for your arrival. THINGS TO DO …. Jay Cooke State Park: This park is a must! Park trails link up to the Willard Munger State Trail at the north edge of the park; perfect for backpackers, bikers (both mountain and tour), hikers, horseback riders, and skiers. Check out the wildflowers in the spring, and the vivid colors in the fall. Walk on the swinging suspension bridge high above the raging St. Louis River. Visit the historic cemetery and the gorge at Thomson Dam. Fond Du Lac State Forest: is roughly 3 miles north of the cabin. There are countless miles of trails for winter and summer use. Maps available online. There is also a fire tower that is partially climbable. See Duluth: Visit Canal Park by the city on the lake. My particular favorite places include canal park (I35 to Lake Avenue. Right into Canal Park Area). Eat at Timber Lodge, drink craft beers at the Canal Park Brewery and hear local music at the Amazing Grace Cafe, visit the Lake Superior Maritime museum, watch the ships come in, walk across the aerial lift bridge and out on the jetty to the lighthouses. End your day with a walk on the beach on Minnesota point (across the aerial lift bridge to beach) on Minnesota's youngest geological feature... the long spit of land. Raft the St. Louis Rivers: Spring snow melt and summer dam releases supercharge the St. Louis River, creating a surging, roaring spectacle for hikers and waterfall-watchers—and a playground for whitewater junkies. Peak times are April and May... just 20 minutes away. Gamble the Night Away! - Blackbear Casino (and great buffets!) is minutes away in Cloquet. Moose Lake State Park Geology Interpretative Center -- Rock hunters and agate collectors traveling around Lake Superior should consider taking a slight side trip (on Interstate 35) about 36 miles south of Duluth, MN to see the very impressive Lake Superior Agate collection and rock displays at the interpretive center located with the Moose Lake Park Visitor Center. If you have a annual state park pass or a pass for the day from visiting another Minnesota state park, admission to the Geological Center is free; otherwise there is a modest admission charge (in my opinion worth the fee if you are interested in agates). Moose Lake Fire Museum and Historical Society – Moose Lake Housed in the former Soo Line Depot, the Moose Lake Depot contains exhibits about the history of the area railroads and tells the story of the huge 1918 fire. The fire burned 250,000 acres, took more than 450 lives and devastated the Moose Lake-Kettle River area. Golf Minnesota National (McGregor) Welcome to the magnificent Joel Goldstrand-designed Minnesota National Golf Course. Developed within the dense covering of towering red and white pines and abundant wildlife, nothing but nature will greet you here. The 7,200-yard, bent grass 18-hole championship course has five tee boxes for all skill levels. There's also a blue grass 9-hole executive course featuring junior tees for families and those who like a more leisurely, less challenging round of golf. Bike / Ski / Snow mobile the Trails… the Soo, Willard Munger, and many other trails are in the area… too many to mention. Claiming the title of "Agate Capital of the World," Moose Lake is a great place to start a ride. It is located at the halfway point on the Willard Munger Trail system, and the route follows an area covered by glacial till and outwash left from the last ice age.
  • Cute cabin with a great view of the lake. Easy access to local parks and hikes

  • Damian is an amazing host and has a wonderful cabin. It was a perfect getaway in Minnesota’s north woods. The cabin was clean and perfectly stocked with amenities and items needed for a relaxing stay. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a nice weekend away.

  • Our stay here was phenomenal! The cabin is beautiful and it was exactly what we were looking for in our weekend getaway. My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary here and Damian even left us a wonderful note and a lovely wine bottle and firewood as a gift! I highly recommend!

    Andrea2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful log home, perfect for an intimate get-away or personal retreat. Damian definitely has the gift of hospitality. From the personal welcome note with bottle of wine and a Duralog, the wide variety of interesting books on the bookshelf, the excellent WiFi and entertainment options, to the well appointed kitchen, everything was above and beyond what I expected. Damian was very personable and receptive to any questions. I would definitely choose to visit again!

    Laura2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay. The host's communication is top notch -- responsive and clear. We hope to return regularly, as the cabin and the location are both beautiful.

  • This is a wonderful, cozy cabin with a great view and helpful host. Would highly recommend!

    Rachel2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was the the perfect secluded and romantic winter getaway my husband and I were were looking for! We stayed 4 nights and didn't leave the property except to take our snowshoes out on the frozen lake. We brought all of our own food and the kitchen had everything we needed for meal prep. We used the sauna daily, watched movies, enjoyed lounging in front of the huge living room windows that look over the lake with the fire going (brought a Duraflame log for each day). It is quiet, comfortable, clean and cozy with lots of fun amenities, and on top of that Damian is a very organized and attentive host. We hope to come back!

  • If you're looking for a spacious getaway off the beaten path with nature as yourbackdrop, this place is for you. Kelly and Brian have a beautiful, cozy home that is stocked full of amenities. We took full advantage of the full kitchen, books, & games. The bed is comfortable and the place is clean. We would be delighted to stay there again next time we travel to the area!

    Elizabeth2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful stay at the cabin! The place was very cozy and relaxing. Kelly left a binder full of local recommendations for breweries, lunch/dinner spots, and the house rules, which was very helpful! I was staying in the lower level for a work trip during the week and the other tenants upstairs were a little rowdy during quiet hours — I’m very thankful that Kelly quickly stepped in when I messaged her. For a family or friend trip, I would probably recommend renting the whole place 😊

    Michelle2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • The description and pictures are accurate! I would definitely recommend staying there!

    Shuler2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • I have stayed at Kelly's place several times. I love it! I love the woodsy setting. It is immaculate! A very homey, comfortable place to spend a night or two.

    Ruth2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay. Great distance from Duluth. Comfortable and quiet.

    Christine2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly's place is outstanding! Very clean and we felt very much at home. She took good care of us by providing starters for breakfast and no shortage of basic supplies. The location is beautiful, isolated, and very cozy. Trips for groceries and supplies can be kind of tricky. Expect to pay a good amount for rides into Duluth and deliveries. Likely not an issue if you have your own car though. Unfortunately we did not. The fireplace was a little disappointing. It's electric and felt more like a big space heater, but we definitely never went cold. The bedroom and living room each had very nice Samsung smart TVs. Probably the nicest entertainment centers I've ever seen in an AirBNB. There were several locked doors, one in each room, that caused us a bit of unease at first, but we quickly got used to it and forgot they were there. Unusual amount of rules that aren't made totally clear until you get there. For example, you're only limited to 4 guests and they seemed unusually stern about it. Although I'm sure they just want to keep the place nice for their guests, which we appreciated. I've never been a host myself and probably just don't realize how destructive people can get. All and all a very good experience and we'd definitely stay with Kelly again without a second thought.

  • Great area and the place was cozy!

    Stefanie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z

Some of our favorites include: -Hartley Park and Nature Center -Bagley Nature Area -Tischer Creek Trail -Chester Park -Mt. Royal Fine Foods -Mt. Royal Bottle Shop -The Tavern -Bulldog Pizza -Northern Waters Smokehaus (coming soon!)
  • The apartment is very clean, easy to access, and conveniently located to all Duluth's hot spots! We liked that it was surrounded by nature instead of backed up to other houses (even if we visited in the winter and didn't make use of the backyard). Very cozy and comfortable! Danny and Angie were incredibly responsive to questions. Highly recommend!

    Heather2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place with great location. The backyard is beautiful. The kitchen is great with all the pots/pans etc for cooking. I’ll definitely stay again!

    Kathryn2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay and we would/will probably look to book again. Unit is very clean, communication was great with quick response to any questions. The location is convenient, very close to UMD and CSS as well as downtown Duluth. Check in was convenient with no problems and value was high at about ½ the cost of a hotel room. No problem giving out a 5 star here!

    Jay2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great location with nice amenities, just as advertised. We enjoyed our stay and even got to see a small of group of deer out back by the creek. Would stay again.

    Daniel2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Terrific hosts. Angie is on top of her game and her communication is wonderful. The neighbor's snowblowing skills keep access open, even in early morning. This place is spotless and the amenities are top drawer, including wireless internet.

    Howard2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Nice space. It's like being in your own little apartment. They had everything that we need to have a quiet weekend away from home.

    Katie2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great communication, clean and well stocked space, an ideal getaway spot to stay in Duluth.

    Jenny2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful private suite. I absolutely do not understand why someone would stay in a hotel. There were awesome touches that helped with our toddler. Nothing dangerous, toys, sound machines, and a pack and play if we had needed one. I actually appreciated that the TV was small and just had local channels. Nice to take a break from Netflix. The kitchen was well stocked with nice cookware. Loved the parking spot and very private entrance. Fast communication, really nice hosts. Quick drive to downtown. Lots of food and necessities nearby. Hope to be back!

Our 225 sq ft (11.5’x19.5’) “guesthouse” is in front of our home on Island Lake, straight north of Duluth. 18 miles from Downtown, 20 miles from Canal Park (20-30 min drive). ***OUR RENTAL accommodation is now REQUIRED TO BE A PART OF OUR MAIN HOUSE- please see our other ad in our profile &/or inquire for details. ** Just ask for dates over 3 months from now. *Tax collected by Airbnb.
Please see the “Tranquility on a Lake” ad in our profile (https://abnb.me/ml29UFrIn4) for the space details. Essentially, due to changes by local government, our Tiny Cottage is being replaced by the mama Cottage, which is our main house, right next to our guesthouse. *Ironing board & IRON available on request. *Charcoal BBQ Grill for outdoor use, as is the fire pit area (when condition allow for fires). Please ask about wood or let us know if you need BBQ TOOLS. It is LESS THAN A MINUTE OFF HIGHWAY 4/Rice Lake Rd, across from Boondocks Saloon & Grill (& off-sale liquor) - which also has a summer “drive-inn” with ICE CREAM & quick foods. Just over the bridge to the north is another restaurant Island Lake Inn. It would be about a 5 min WALK to Boondocks, about 10 MORE minutes walk to ILI. 6 min drive south is another General Store (Gnesen Convenience) with GAS, GROCERIES, made to order TAKE-OUT food (Nanay’s Kitchen), and LIQUOR. 11 min south (on the drive up) is a KwikTrip Gas/Convenience also. **** Please note: As we are directly on the water, the road is much higher in elevation, and there MANY STEPS down to the guesthouse. There is also a small/narrow gravel “DRIVEWAY” DOWN directly to it, which some guests have chosen to use (WHEN THERE IS NO SNOW). We do ask that you walk it first to assess your comfort level with driving your vehicle down.
Our larger neighborhood area is mostly year-round residents. But on our bay some are seasonal, and so likely will only be seen outside in the summer. There is a beautiful & clean free public sand beach and picnic area just across the lake, about 2-3 min away by car. We are less than a minute off the main road, and across from a restaurant/bar/off-sale liquor. There is another bar/restaurant about one minute up the road from there. It’s about a 5 min WALK to the nearest restaurant. 2 minutes north is the Boulder Lake Cross Country Ski Trail system east parking lot access, and same to state snowmobile trail system - both of which could be used for summer hiking or biking. **Boating, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, biking, Agate hunting, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, & ice fishing can all be done right out the door, and State snowmobile trails and Cross-Country ski trails are right nearby as well (seasons-permitting of course). We don’t provide equipment other than our paddleboat or floating island oasis pad.
  • The house was much better than I thought it would be. The view was amazing, and it just felt like home the entire time we were there. I would definitely stay here again!

    Kenneth2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Ange was very helpful host. Very responsive and and super nice. When we got snowed in after Duluth got pummeled with 19 inches, her husband and son came up and shoveled us out. Great hosts!

  • Such a peaceful place looking over the lake and beautiful skies not too far from Duluth. Had a great time and Ange was quick to respond and supplied a clean beautiful home to stay in with my friend and I

    Johnny2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • The TTC is a pleasurable, petit, pretty home-away-from-home. Ange has thought of all the hospitality touches, with just the right amount of luxury. This is where my husband and I go for beautiful views and to spend some needed quiet time. The kitchen has everything!

    Molly2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Ange’s place was cozy, clean, and beautiful! It was the perfect stay for a tranquil retreat on the lake in the woods. Ange was so thoughtful in the details of the cottage, and the bed was comfortable and room so cozy! It was also only about a 20 minute drive to town which went by quickly! It was very easy to find. Will definitely look at staying here in the future. Thank you Ange!

    Angela2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place to retreat to after spending time in Duluth and the surrounding areas. The space was clean, cozy, simple, just what my wife and I were looking for. Everything in the space was well labeled, which was helpful. Ange and Erich were quick to respond with any questions and very hospitable. We would definitely stay here again!

    Nick2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing. It was super clean. They gave us clear communication on their space. They responded immediately with any questions we had, and to make sure we had settled in easily enough. The view was outstanding. They gave us so many suggestions, and a bottle of local syrup. I hope we have the opportunity to come here again. Ange was such a wonderful host, and I’m so glad we were able to stay here.

    Cara2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • This space is so cute and cozy. It’s perfect to come back to at the end of the day exploring or staying in and watching movies! Ange is a great host and makes you feel so welcome!

Contented Acres is a country retreat in Esko, 20 minutes south of Duluth on 15 secluded acres. The home started as a one room log cabin homesteaded in 1910 and today can sleep 14. With a commercial kitchen, threshing table that seats 12, and a 1,200 sqft great room with masonry fireplace, Contented Acres is the perfect location for anything from a multiple family ski trip, family gathering, or a couple looking to get away for the weekend.
Contented Acres is perfect for your next large family gathering. The large industrial kitchen and dining areas allow you to host and serve guests easily. The private yard and fire pit are great for outdoor fun. Kids will enjoy exploring the woods on the many trails, playing in the lofted log cabin play house and well loved tree house, and hanging out in the upstairs playroom.
Esko is centrally located to the Spirit Mountain Ski Hill, Jay Cooke State Park, and of course the great city of Duluth. Our location allows you the privacy of a small town with easy accessibility to the greater Duluth area. We welcome you to enjoy our beloved family home and hope your stay with us is memorable.
  • This house is so beautiful. It is spacious and sunny. We had everything we needed. Plenty of cozy seating in the living room and dining room. Great parking and good communication from host. Quick drive into Duluth and Carlton. Looking forward to staying again!

    Leah2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely fantastic time. The house is unique and has many different spaces for our kids and adults to spread out and be comfortable. Will definitely try to be back again. Thanks so much!

    Robert2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • A great space for our large group! The long dining room table alone made our stay worth it. I do agree with a past reviewer that a thorough deep-clean would be helpful. But we’d still definitely stay here again!

    Rachel2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We were two families who needed a place to stay for a weekend of kids ski racing at Spirit Mountain. Contented Acres fit the bill and much more. Our kids (ages 5-11) absolutely loved it, not least of all the bunk room. The house is obviously a labor of love, and is full of hospitality and quirky details. Because we spent long hours on the hill, we didn't have a lot of time to just relax in the house or enjoy the grounds, but would certainly have enjoyed that. We did enjoy the spacious and well-stocked kitchen.

    Megan2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This home is absolutely delightful!! Easy to find, yet tucked into a peaceful lot. Plenty of amenities to make the stay very comfortable. The layout was perfect for a large group to have the space to gather together and yet spaced out enough for quiet time, too. Beautiful!!! I will want another visit.

The perfect place to call home base! Located in the heart of Duluth, in a bustling and diverse neighborhood, just 4 Blocks from Canal Park! All questions welcome! License Number PL17-073
If you are interested in staying in the heart of the city, where the action takes place, the bell tower rings and ambulances zoom by, then this is a good option for you. We love it, but understand that some folks prefer a quieter or more tourist controlled setting. We don't want anyone to be surprised by the location. Thanks for looking! The space includes: -A flight of stairs is the only way in to the condo -Large private front porch -Apple TV (Netflix, Hulu, etc. Don't forget your password!) -On street parking and an underground HEATED garage space -SPECTACULAR view The space does not include: -Air conditioning (does include fans) -Elevator -Cable TV This is the perfect place for a small family (2 adults and 2 or 3 kids) or a couple of couples or a handful of buddies. You get the point!
This condo is in a fantastic location. 4 blocks down the hill is downtown and Canal Park. Walk to Grandma's Marathon events, Tall Ships, Restaurants and Shopping. Whole Foods Co-op is 6 blocks away, there is green space across the street and you will be in the heart of a lively community.
  • Nice space in a good location. Host is very helpful and is prompt in responding to all inquiries. Very convenient to the Canal Park area.

    Geoffrey2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • The view was the best! And those charming bell sounds of the tower! Everything was wonderful. Clean. Stylish. Everything we needed. Comfortable beds. Fans were a big plus a touch we appreciated, being we all have a bad habit of sleeping with one on! Perfect amount of room for my family. Great location! Nikki was wonderful to communicate with.

    Sarah2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • The view is amazing and the space is so homey and relaxing. Definitely going to check this place for availability for my next trip to Duluth!

    Katy2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Really spectacular little spot that couldn’t be more conveniently located downtown. The space is sweet — the front windows are the perfect viewpoint for sunrise. The heated garage is definitely an unexpected perk in winter. Looking forward to our next stay here.

  • Great place to stay, lots of room. Location convenient to downtown. Loved the heated garage for winter!

    Emily2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great location in Duluth. Nikki is a very good host. Highly suggest to stay here!

    Melissa2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Nikki stayed in constant contact during the snow storm while we stayed at the condo. She contacted the snow removal company frequently and did everything she could on her end to get us out of the snow. The amenities are fabulous for families with small kids. The pack and play and high chair are in excellent/clean condition. The books and toys were just enough to keep our kids busy during down time between activities. It is a very family friendly condo. We are not familiar with Duluth and found the location to be PERFECT to all the places we wanted to visit. Just close enough to downtown that you can walk, and on a main strip that you can drive quickly around town to fabulous restaurants. We did not have any issues with the noises of downtown. You can faintly hear the clock tower ding and some outdoor noises, but that's all very quiet in the bedrooms. We will definitely be back!

    Allison2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • We appreciated this lovely space. Nikki's timely communication, well-stocked cupboards and cozy quarters coupled with the terrific views of the lake and the heated indoor parking (during the snowstorm) made for a five-star experience. We usually spend our Duluth week in a hotel. This was so much more enjoyable.

  • I had a lovely weekend at Kieth's bunkhouse. It was very cozy and had what I needed for my short trip. Keith met me upon arrival and gave me some great tips about the area which brought me to a wonderfully quaint bar/restaurant right up the street. There were also many more area suggestions in a booklet in the bunkhouse. Although it was quite cold and snowy, the accommodations were very warm.

  • Great place and hosts, would definitely stay again!

  • I had booked this place for my parents. Keith was so understanding and in communication with me as well. This is my mothers review: We were looking for a quiet, relaxing place and we found it in the bunkhouse! Our favorite part was sitting in the screened in porch and looking at the lake. Definitely would go back again. Thanks Keith and Sarah!

  • The house was exactly as pictured. It was a very comfortable place to stay. The host had it nicely decorated for Fall. The location was convenient for our activities at Spirit Mountain and Jay Cooke State Park.

  • Expect a super cute, super clean place to relax near Duluth!

    Sara2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay on our trip to Duluth and the North Shore. Nice neighborhood, grocery stores Walmart nearby, kitchen cookware fully stocked, beds were really comfortable and a nice short drive to Duluth. Our 6 year old daughter loved the big (mostly fenced in!) backyard after the long car ride. We were able to book on short notice, although if booking with short notice; I do recommend messaging Anne before booking to confirm she is available to host as this is her personally, lovely home. She had an unexpected event happen to her the day we booked yet she was still able to accommodate us perfectly; everything was clean and we had an excellent stay. So much better than having to be crammed in a hotel room.

    Jason2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is my second stay at Anne’s and I will definitely stay again. Her place is clean, cute and cozy and Anne is a great communicator. I love it!

  • Anne's house was perfect for our stay! I just wish we could have stayed longer. The house is so cute and nicely decorated. It is also spotless! Had everything we needed. Very comfortable and Iloved the patio. I didn't meet Anne, but she was very easy to communicate with and very quick to respond. Highly recommend!

The Little Red House is a vintage 1918 home that was built right after the Cloquet and Moose Lake Fires of 1918, by the Red Cross. These sturdy little homes were built for temporary occupancy by families who lost their larger family homes to the fire, to live in while their original homes were rebuilt. The Little Red House features restored pressed tin wall covering throughout.
Located in Cloquet's southern residential area, the Little Red House is close to highways 33 and interstate 35. There are a number of shopping and dining options within walking distance of the home.
The Little house is located about 5 miles from Jay Cooke State Park, and 18 miles from Duluth's many attractions. Black Bear Casino, famous for its steakhouse and buffet, is 3 miles away.

Located in the heart of Canal Park, one of Duluths' most vibrant neighborhoods. Steps away from Lake Superior and The Duluth lakewalk, where you will find fantastic restaurants, bars, boutiques, coffee shops, art galleries, and so much more. Room 2 (ADA-accessible) is a bit larger than room 1, with a deck view, large coffee bar, queen-sized bed, pull-out full-sized sofa, and a large bathroom.
Luxury suites with a community sauna, a large deck with a fire pit (seasonal) and five rooms available for rent. Our unique building was first a passenger depot and train station. Tied to the historic brewpub, Fitger's Brewhouse, Endion Station Inn will provide vouchers to local craft beer during your stay on the shores of the largest freshwater lake in the world. Spend a day on the water and experience the mighty Lake Superior, our personal favorite of the Great Lakes. Local "brew-tique" decor coupled with comfortable furnishings creates a unique, cozy feel in this five bedroom boutique hotel. All rooms are equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi, TV (with cable), a Nespresso machine for slow mornings, clothes iron, hair dryer, private bathrooms with large showers, towels, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Each room also comes with extra warm blankets for those ultra-cold northern nights. Dog lovers don't have to leave their best friends at home either--you can bring along your dog in rooms 2 and 3 for an additional charge ($25 per dog). Sorry, due to allergies, we do not accept cats. **PLEASE NOTE** Starting in the middle of January the city of Duluth will be having thousands of trucks of stone delivered to the gravel beach directly behind Endion station. They will be used in the shoreline reconstruction project along Canal Park shoreline starting in early spring. This will be between the hours of 9:00am and 7:00pm. We see this as a great opportunity to be one of the first to witness the incredible new Canal Park Shoreline! Please keep this in mind when booking. All parking spots in the lot are available to guests, and free during the winter.
Endion Station Inn is located right on the lake walk, in the heart of Canal Park. You will find an abundance of local shops, breweries and restaurants all within walking distance! We encourage walking, biking and enjoying the close hiking trails located towards the end of Park Point.
  • Great location, room, coffee, etc. it was very homey, cute, clean. The best place we’ve stayed in

    Marli2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • A great location if you have events or business over the DECC to attend. You can walk to the DECC or most places in Canal Park in less than 10min. The room was very cozy with high ceilings and was kept very clean. The large barrel sauna is a great amenity and Nescafe machine was a nice perk, a much better cup of coffee than Keurig IMHO.

    Ben2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is a must stay place for Duluth. We loved the quick access to everything we needed and wanted to do! The room was absolutely adorable and sooooo fun! High ceilings and Antique Beer memorabilia scatter through out the room was a perfect touch given Duluth and allll the local brewery’s around. Its wonderful now and it’s going to be even better when all the shore restoration is complete, as they have the boardwalk pulled till the project is complete. We still got out and walked the shoreline. Rianne was quick to respond when we had questions. Check in was easy. Parking was a bit tricky at first but we got it all figured out. Rianne provide a binder with info on the room and local things in town. Thanks again for having us!!

    Erin2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is a truly beautiful and stylish space. It’s seconds away from the beach at Canal Park, and the convenience is amazing! I loved the amenities — the sauna was awesome and the Nespresso machine was a dream. Would totally come back again!

  • Clean space, could hear another room through the vents which was weird, but would stay again!

    Rj2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The space was perfect size, clean and the outside sauna was a great touch! You are right on the lake and have a great view. Location is perfect— close to restaurants, pubs, etc... lots of options right around the corner. Rianne was very responsive right off the bat and throughout my stay.

  • Very cute and cozy cabin right on the lake! If you are looking for a simple camping experience - I highly recommend this place!

    Nicole2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • As caribou states on its coffee cups, "cabin time," is very important. This trip was to clebrate our engagement. The gas fire place was romantic. The beds were comfortable. The heated porter potty, was a blessing at negative 7. And we both slept like a baby, warmly. Take care in winter to go straight up to the bar and then go down the road, past the bar, because Google Maps, will try to take you down unplowed road. Other than that, it was everything we wanted and we will be back soon.

  • Super cute place! Beautiful view of the lake. Perfect for the two of us for the weekend, and we would definitely stay here again!!

    Jordyn2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We love staying here. It’s so cozy and comfortable. The Lounge on site is a great place to grab a drink and meet some locals. The cabin has heat, but bring blankets or sleeping bags, because the beds just come with sheets. We’ll definitely be back!

    Lindsey2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay! We got in after dark and went up to The Lounge for some pizza and beer. We watched the Wild game with some locals and had a fun time. The cabin itself was very cozy, clean, and as expected. We did both take showers at the campground, and with a little bit of mental preparation it was just fine.. water was warm, so can’t complain there. Thanks for having us!

If you're looking for an enchanting getaway, getting lost in the twinkling lights of Duluth, or desire to look over the majestic lake Superior, this loft is for you. Walking distance from Chester park and a few local hiking spots. Close to other Duluth "must see's" such as Hawks ridge, downtown (5-7 min drive) , the port, and even Point Park. This centrally located BnB is perfect for any Duluth adventure you could want. Book today! (And is pet friendly-see below details)
What makes our space unique: This is a quaint 1920's home. The space has been updated but keeps its old home charm. There are unique points of furniture such as our lake superior driftwood coffee table, propagated (grown from a piece of an adult plant) succulents, and a variety of antiques. The biggest drawback of our space is the slanted ceilings. The middle tallest part of the ceiling is 6' 1". I do not want to discourage any of our taller humans from experiencing this cozy space, but would not feel right about not giving any notice! I wish I could make the ceilings higher-however- it has been described as "cozy, quaint, and comfortable". What you have in your Airbnb Loft: -water boiler -toaster oven -electric cooking pan -mini-fridge -6 gallons fresh water (Duluth water is the tastiest water ever!! no lie.) -plates/cups/utensils -bowl with dish soap and sponge (if desired to wash dishes in bnb) -double/full size bed -space heater -ironing board (in closet in living space) -iron (in closet in living space) -bath towels and washcloths -extra blankets (in the black cabinet-not pictured) -TV with built in DVD player (in closet in bedroom) -access to wifi -access to welcome book. You will have a key-locked door at the bottom of the stairs (for peace of mind if you desire to lock up your belongings while you are away) and your bedroom will have a separate lock to it (from the inside). Parking is readily available (usually), free, and on the street. (Will just need to park on same side of street as the other cars- since here in Duluth we have wonky parking rules for snow removal) What is shared: - "the worlds tiniest bathroom" - main kitchen (if you prefer to your private kitchenette) - main living space - dining room -main entrance This is a pet friendly Airbnb. If you are looking to bring your beloved furry friend please see below for pet guest house rules. Side note: We have two lovely pets that are not allowed into the Airbnb space. If you have allergies, the space is cleaned very well between guests and should not be an issue (if you are concerned about the space being hypoallergenic please contact the host to let us know what can make the space a better accommodation for you).
Beautiful residential neighborhood. Hilltop with view of lake superior. Chester park is a 10 minute walk and there are other local trails 5 minute walk from the house. Less than a mile from the College of Saint Scholastica main campus. 10 minute drive from downtown Duluth.
  • It is a nice place and affordable. :)

  • Very small but absolutely adorable! Im 5' 7'' and it was pretty cramped so I'm sure my 6 ft partner had an interesting time lol. Pets are very friendly and cute as well 🐶🐱

    Racheal2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • My stay was short, as I basically just slept overnight and left in the morning shortly after waking, just one night. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating and it was evident they wanted me to feel at home, which I appreciated very much. The listing's description is quite accurate, no surprises from my perspective. The private room is the entire upstairs area, which really feels like two separate rooms - one with the bed and one with the kitchenette. The stairs are certainly steep, which means each step is short so only the front portion of your foot touches the step, unless you navigate the steps with your feet sideways. And the ceiling is certainly low as described. I'm 5'11" and I mostly moved around crouched, kind of felt like I was in a fort. These things are mentioned in the listing, just providing my experience. I would definitely visit again. :)

  • My stay at the Endion Inn was wonderful! Rianne communicated all expectations & information well, which made checking in & out a breeze. The room was stylish, pretty and clean, although I would recommend not booking a ground-level room if you’re a light sleeper. Our room was next to the front door, which meant a lot of loud banging throughout the night - but this could also differ depending on the other guests staying at the time of your stay! In addition to the lovely room, the sauna and community fireplace were great bonus features and the location can’t be beat.

    Meg2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Rianne's Airbnb is absolutely amazing!! I didn't realize that was right down in the Canal area - it's the perfect location. The location is quiet and convenient. The sauna is an amazing added plus!! The rooms are much bigger than they seem - plenty of space for two people! This will definitely be my go-to place to stay in Duluth!

    Samantha2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place in a great location. It had everything I needed for my stay. Rianne was responsive and kept the place clean and fully stocked of items I needed. 10/10 would book a stay at Endion Station again in the future.

    Ia2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • A great property in a very good location. The sauna is OUTSTANDING! Rianne does a great job with communication. My unit was pristine when I walked in the door.

  • We had a great stay - wonderful and cozy cottage!

    Claire2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Ken and Lisa’s place was amazing! We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend getaway.

    Libby2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa and Ken made a very last minute trip up to Sax Zim Bog possible. They were quick to reply, accommodating and very helpful. I left something behind and they were kind enough to bring it to a nearby hotel where someone picked it up for me. Cabin bed is very comfortable, jetted tub in bathroom was heavenly and the kitchen is well stocked. Even in single digits the cabin was cozy warm. I'll definitely be back!

    Tami2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place to stay for snowmobilers, it’s right next to the trip and there are local bars pretty close for food and drinks . Place was so cool and rustic i just loved it . Owners were super easy to work with and were very hospitable:) Definitely plan on coming back to this comfy home :)

    Andrea2020-02-02T00:00:00Z

Economy room at an economy price! Stay in our cozy room with a private bath while in Duluth. A small fridge is in the room for your use; you are also welcome to relax in the living room and utilize the kitchen for microwave, ice, water, etc. Spacious deck with grill and firepit guests are welcome to enjoy. We are happy to coordinate our schedules to allow you any level of privacy you prefer. Wi-Fi, Netflix & Hulu are available for guests. We do have two long haired cats.
Our home was built in the early 1900's for working class Duluthians -- one hundred years ago, the working class lived in small homes with small rooms -- we rent out the guest room in our humble home as an affordable lodging alternative to the tradition hotels in Duluth. We don't intend to be a vacation home, or high end getaway at all, just a small room for folks who want to enjoy Duluth without the cost of hotel stays. The guest room is on the main floor of our home right next to the bathroom--which is private for you while you are here. We've stocked the guest room with extra blankets, a mini-fridge and alarm clock radio so those items are at your fingertips if desired. You are welcome to use access the kitchen for microwave, water/ice, etc and use the living room, deck and fire pit during your stay! I'm happy to coordinate our activities if you prefer privacy when using any of those spaces.

    Shari2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Heather and Randy's AirBnB worked out perfectly for my needs as I was traveling through Duluth on a work trip. It is near the airport and the business area of Duluth, so the location was perfect. She was great with communication and check in was very easy. I had traveled long and it was so nice to land in a warm, safe place with their kitties, Twix and Butterfinger, to greet me. Their cats are not intrusive, so if you aren't a cat lover like me, you can avoid them easily. They only responded to me because I engaged them and then were very friendly with me. My room and bed was comfortable and cozy. I got to meet Heather in the morning and we chatted for a bit, which was very enjoyable. :) Thank you so much for hosting me, Heather & Randy! I hope to see you again sometime.

There’s no real privacy, outside of your bunk of course, but it never once felt burdensome. Great location, great hosts, great value... I’ll be back for sure.

Newly Remodeled-Cozy-Comfortable and Private with many Amenities!!
This unique cabin is 20 ft from shoreline on level lot with ample parking in private setting. Is an open floor plan of 320 sq ft (16x20) with a stairway to a 180 sq ft loft. Queen bed is a Tempur-Pedic Cloud Supreme with a remote adjustable base and upstairs loft beds are twins with one also a Tempur-Pedic with remote adjustable base and head and foot massage. All beds were purchased December 2018 and are really nice. My cabin is next door and I leave guests to there privacy but am available should you have questions or need me for anything. Island Lake Inn is a 5 minute walk and is the main hub in area for eating and socializing. Downtown is about 25 minutes and Mall area is a 20 minute drive. Island Lake is a huge reservoir lake and is lowered down for hydro electric in the winter months and start filling it back up April 15th and is usually full for opening fishing in May. It is the biggest and (in my opinion)best lake in the area. Guests are welcome to bring their boat and they have there own private dock to use. There is also a nice easy access private boat launch on property. Guests have use of 2 kayaks and life vests. Boats and trailers can be easily be turned around in driveway but check with me I know the easiest way. Campfires are fine and there is plenty of dead wood lying around in woods but fires must be kept small inside rocks and supervised for safety. There is a bow saw and saw buck there for your use. This is a unique area because there are so many things to do in the area such as : boating-fishing-hunting-target practicing-star gazing-swimming-kayaking-paddle boarding or paddle boating-4wheeling-nature hiking-snowmobiling-x-country skiing-socializing-sitting around a camp fire or just relaxing!
There is a very nice country bar/restaurant 2 blocks away. Across the street from that is a daytime public picnic area with a gazebo-picnic tables charcoal grilles-fishing-swimming-etc. for public use. South there are a couple more bar/restaurants close by and a grocery store/gas station about 6 miles away.1 mile north is a rifle range/campground.2 blocks west is a county gravel pit and groomed trails for hiking or x-country skiing and nature center.
  • Bradley was very responsive and the cabin was the perfect home base for our getaway up north.

    Lindsay2020-01-26T00:00:00Z

    Hannah2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place exceeded my expectations! The beds were really comfortable, the place was cozy and clean, and everything was updated. It was close to some good fishing spots, and close enough to Duluth for when we wanted to do city activities.

    Averi2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great cozy little cabin and some nice close-by ski trails. Only thing unexpected was the proximity to the main cabin.

    Graham2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect getaway for a peaceful weekend where you can choose to stay in the cabin all day and watch movies and play cards or take a 5 minute stroll to the local bar for some local company. There are helpful notes all around the cabin to make things run smoothly. The only glitch was the tv, but we had a laptop instead and Bradley was willing to come take a look to try and fix it

    Louisa2019-12-28T00:00:00Z

A nice, quiet space with a cabin feel and a large fenced in yard. Coffee and tea are included in your stay. TV includes local channels and Netflix.
Quiet place, cabin feel, close to the exit to the interstate. Close to Lazy Bear Grill in Barnum and 5 miles from Moose Lake (restaurants, brewery, groceries). Across highway from Bear Lake, easy access. 2 minute drive to the Munger Trail.
Small town Barnum has only a population of 613 people. There's a Mobile gas station along with the Lazy Bear Café and the Chickadee coffee house all close by to my house. There's the Barnum Muni (bar), the fair grounds, another little café, and close to the Willard Munger Trail.
  • This was my second stay at Staci's this year. As before, the space provided everything I needed and was cozy and clean. Staci is very hospitable and easy to talk to - I truly consider her a friend. She is more than willing to interact with guests as well as allowing any privacy a guest might desire. I highly recommend Staci's large basement unit since it is a great jumping off spot for visiting upper Minnesota - both summer and winter.

    Lauri2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Staci's place was very clean and cozy! She has a great DVD collection and we had a fun time watching horror movies in the nice living room/media area outside our bedroom. Super cute spot and a quick drive up to Duluth and Jay Cooke state park. Check-in was very easy. I recommend Staci's place! :)

    Jackie2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Staci was very helpful. We had the whole lower level to ourselves which was carpeted and cozy. It has a living room/lounging area which was great. The mattress was very comfortable - felt like a dense, foam mattress.

    Liam2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • This home is beautiful and in a great location to make a quick trip north. It was easy to find and close to a great coffee shop. I loved all the space in the basement and it was nice to unwind watching tv after a busy day.

  • Typically I think about Airbnbs as some spare room in a small apartment in the city. Not so with Staci's place. It is a little out of the way, but exactly as advertised: an entire furnished basement, with bed, bath, and living room. My partner and I gasped when we realized where it was, too. The house itself has a stunning view of the forested lake across the highway. If you're looking for a spot to day-trip to Duluth or hike the parks in the area, you'll be comfortable here. Oh, and Staci provided a coffee maker for us, which was truly a cherry on top.

    Noah2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Staci’s place is a great little oasis of comfort close to Duluth! Would definitely recommend staying here if you are going up North!

  • This is a GREAT guest house with wonderfully kind hosts. The hosts live in a house that is yards away from the guest house, so you have the benefit of genuine privacy within the guest house, coupled with the convenience of having hosts very close in the event a need would arise to hail them. I stayed there in the winter (January), so it was obviously quite cold outside. I was gone during the day and kept the thermostat down pretty low. When we'd get to the guest house in the evening we'd turn the thermostat up and it would warm up really, really fast. There is a big window with a beautiful view of the lake. It's in a gorgeous location, and only 2 or 3 miles away from Moose Lake. Excellent location! Everything works, place was very clean, beds were comfortable, bedding was great, towels were soft, etc. I stayed at the guest house for the better part of a week with my 27 year old daughter (we were in town to spend time with a close family member who was at Mercy Hospital in Moose Lake) and both my daughter and I absolutely loved being able to unwind in the evening at the guest house. I would stay at this place again and/or recommend it to others without hesitation.

  • David’s place was perfect for our stay! The house was cozy and beautifully decorated for Christmas when we arrived. There were homemade muffins and a clean, warm house. My in-laws even got to see deer! Wonderful hospitality and memories we’ll treasure.

  • Amazing location for a girls weekend getaway!! Close to state parks, excellent restaurants, and unique shopping...but best of all is the view from the house itself. AMAZING lake view with beautiful sunsets. So many nice extra touches from welcome cookies to a great fire pit, comfy beds, big fluffy towels...really made for a comfortable stay.

    Jennifer2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home! The view was beautiful and the home was easy to get to. It was just as descripted and communication with the host was very easy! The only downside during my stay was the weather! Regardless, I still had a wonderful stay!

There is plenty of seating and bedding for all guests. We didn't get to explore the land, but would have liked to. Tracy is a quick communicator and will certainly take care of you!

Nice quiet town with the St. Louis River running through it. Plenty of state land in the area. Just minutes away from Echo Valley Race Track, St. Louis River, Artichoke River and snowmobile trails. Sax-Zim Bog for bird watchers is 41 minutes (32 miles) away. Bentleyville Tour of Lights is 34 minutes away (30 miles) The home is older and owner continues to update, spacious in the common areas and has some updates. The house is comfortable country living with today's amenities that we all enjoy.
Comfortable bungalow with plenty of area's to relax. I Eat-in kitchen with newer appliances and large griddle in 3 season porch. I have the house stocked with everything you need. Just bring your clothes and food. I have condiments, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, and blowdryer. Main floor hallway: The light switch to the hallway doesn't work so there is a pull cord on the light. Upstairs: The upstairs bedroom (which is a 1/2 story) can sleep 4 people if needed, 2 double beds. It is not fully remodeled and the stairway is narrow, but is comfortable to sleep. I decorated it to make it more inviting. The bathroom upstairs only has a tub and the toilet flushes very slowly (the only way to fix that problem is to rip out one of the bedroom ceilings). Dining room and living room are large, comfortable areas but the flooring is damaged in a couple areas. Main floor bedrooms: One of the main floor bedrooms has a washer/dryer in it. One has a number bed, the other has a tempur-pedic mattress and a big screen tv and a DVD player with some movies, the dish hopper is not working right now. The house is old and it's not a 5 star hotel, but has been updated in a few areas. The Main floor bathroom is remodeled but the shower/bathtub is older but clean. The house is comfortable and guests tend to enjoy themselves but I don't want to misrepresent my house by not letting you know the pitfalls of an old house. There's plenty of parking, large yard with ATV/snowmobile trail/state land adjacent to yard. Please see additional costs, the rent amount is for 2 people. I charge an additional $25 per person per night after the first 2 guests. I try to keep my costs down, but with each additional person my costs go up and I don't charge a cleaning fee. Thank you!
Small quiet neighborhood with the St. Louis River and Artichoke River running through it. Plenty of state hunting land. 20 minutes from Cloquet and 30-40 minutes from Duluth. Please Google your destination to make sure you are close enough to your destination.
  • Clean and great place for the money you pay.

  • The place was very nice. Really quite area. Brenda was very responsive. Very comfortable living room. Beds were good. As anybody knows any review I write loses 1 star if we are shorted TP. I just hate to arrive and be short cheap TP. The house had plenty of TP. I would stay here again anytime in the area. Brenda was awesome!!

We are close to the city center, restaurants and parks. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers and business travelers. Suite is located on the second floor of a renovated historic building. Hosts also live on site but your suite is in a separate and private area. There is a massage therapist also in the building and a yoga studio as well. The river and bike trails are only a few blocks away and bike rentals are available.
Efficiency apartment with private foyer includes a king size bed, private bath with luxury linens, complimentary bottled water, kitchenette with coffee maker, toaster and microwave (no oven/stove). We offer free Wi-Fi.
We are within walking distance to parks, the river, bars and restaurants.
  • My fiancé and I were so impressed with this place and the host really put together a great setup for us. I loved the theme and the bed was so comfortable. I have not slept that well in years. Everywhere there are great touches like the soft bedding and towels to the tv and even the temperature was perfect. We could not have asked for a better experience.

    Andrew2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • The room is spacious with cabinets for dishes and a fridge. They have kept the styling of the building itself so there are very high ceilings with early 1900's crowning.

    Philip2019-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay! Super comfy bed and down comforter. Kitchenette in room with dining area.

    Anna2018-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • The space was nicely decorated and comfortable. The bed was really comfy and I slept well. I suggest earplugs if you’re a light sleeper—the train woke me up both nights but I was able to fall right back to sleep. The kitchen area was nice and the English muffins and peanut butter were delicious for breakfast. It’s about 20-30 minute drive to Duluth but close to Jay Cooke State Park which was great! I enjoyed staying here!

  • Stephanie’s place is a unique opportunity to feel at home with a touch of class.

    Susan2018-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Stephanie’s place was very clean and tidy upon arrival and a quiet, relaxing place to spend a weekend. Well furnished and comfortable to make you feel at home with a “home-y” feeling. A moderate 20-30 minute drive to Duluth for most of the weekend activities.

    Jacob2018-07-29T00:00:00Z
