Department Store
“Designer outlet, plus great for bedding, kitchen ware etc. Excellent prices. One of the BEST destinations for shopping in the north. I fill my wardrobe here with great bargains.”

“All the eateries surrounding us from Oaklands Cottage are a hit. You shouldn’t be disappointed with any, unless you’re unlucky. And here we have another one. Incredible views from this Inn. Traveling by car it will take you approximately 10 minutes or you can walk from the cottage which is approximately 30/40 minutes. A perfect walk in the summer time as it is across a field with a footpath all the way but it needs to be day light still on your return. Food, ales and much more are great. ”

“Boundary Outlet. I’ll find a huge range of designer clothes or homeware in this glorious store. Then there are a selection of places to eat too. Fish and chips, Italian and a cafe. Perfect for rainy days. ”

“The village is famous for its witches. Good hikes nearby, the best one is maybe the Witches Trail going over Pendle Hill. Make sure you stop at the pub on the way back for a pint of Pendle Witches Brew!”

“This is a pub in our next village which is either a 20 minute walk or and 5 minute car drive. It’s friendly, spacious, excellent food with a chef from South Africa, good prices, good ales, and has a beer garden too.”

“If you’re in the mood for Italian food then you only have a 10 minute drive to seek it. There’s everything to like about this place. It’s a great atmosphere in there and if you fancy a fillet steak you’ll not find one better.. ”

“Bonny Colne as it is known to the locals. Colne highstreet is vibrant and full of friendly folk. You’ll always hear happy greetings around you in the street and is a town full of independent shops, pubs and quirky cafes. There are 2 popular theatres and the surrounding countryside is spectacular.. You will notice remembrance references to Wallace Hartley around the Colne centre. He was one of the band members of the Titanic who selflessly carried on playing with his band until the fateful final hours. There is a pub serving good food too named after him. There used to be a museum next to the Parish Church (beautiful church) but unfortunately due to ‘cut backs’ it is no longer there. ”
