“Our local pride: Log Boat Brewing Co! A great lawn/yard for lounging. Some of the best microbrew in the midwest! I prefer the Snapper IPA or their Shiphead ginger wheat. ”

“Murry's is a staple of Columbia, it's got the perfect ambiance and is great anytime of the day for a glass of wine and lunch/dinner. Everything on the menu is fantastic so you cant go wrong! I highly recommend the fried oysters, if you fancy them! The filet is also amazing.”

Pizza Place

“This place is nationally known as a pizza great. If you haven't had it you must. Be forwarned delivery on game days can be hours...but order early and wait. It is worth it and you can't visit Columbia without having a slice. I'm torn between the deluxe and the pepperoni as my favorite. The deluxe is so chock full of veggies and meat that there isn't a lot of space for the elasticy mozzarella cheese, for the ultimate cheese fix the pepperoni with extra cheese is AWESOME. Pepperonis are hand sliced in house for a thicker cut. If you dine in they will toss pie dough to kids, for entertainment while you wait. I love pairing my pizza with their Luigi Salad. ”

“This is Columbia's only really "upscale" spot. Dress up and go out. There is almost always a cover. The staff should know every obscure drink cocktail you can think of. Small fire pits line the outer patio that is something like 8 stories up on the roof of the Broadway hotel. Good place to impress a date.”

“9th Street is the perfect bar for when you want a simple drink, a carefully crafted cocktail, or to watch the big game. This bar is located in the heart of downtown, yet it is not usually full of college students, making it a great place for graduates and older bar-hoppers.”

“Probably the only bar in town to serve actual German Beer. They host a trivia night on Monday Nights. It is not a stock college bar but more Euro and as such feels more like an experience. Food is limited but beer can come in 1L Steins.”
