“There are multiple restaurants, bars and shops amongst breathtaking sandy beach views. Make sure to take a look inside at the historic architecture and vintage photos displayed on the walls. There is also a beautiful ballroom inside of the hotel. Parking at the hotel can be pricey, we recommend free street parking on the main road near the hotel just take note of signs. ”

“This is a real, beachy beach on Coronado Island and the dog beach is right next to the Navy base. There are real waves here. Parking can be tricky on busy days, you may need to walk some blocks to the beach, but it's worth it. This beach does have an area to rinse off near the street.”

“Often on the top beaches in California, Coronado is also home to the Hotel Del where many a movie star and presidents have stayed. Hotel Del also does movies on the beach, so be sure to look at there schedule to opt for a movie in the sand with the whole family. There is plenty to do on the island. and getting there is also fun, from taking the fiery or the bridge the views will blow you away. (be sure to visit moo times for delicious ice cream). On main street you will find it all, restaurants, shops, cafes, and ice cream shops. Be sure to visit”

“Hotel del Coronado (also known as The Del and Hotel Del) is a historic beachfront hotel in the city of Coronado, just across the San Diego Bay from San Diego, California. It is one of the few surviving examples of an American architectural genre: the wooden Victorian beach resort. It is the second largest wooden structure in the United States (after the Tillamook Air Museum in Tillamook, Oregon) and was designated a California Historical Landmark in 1970 and a National Historic Landmark in 1977. When it opened in 1888, it was the single largest resort hotel in the world. It has hosted presidents, royalty, and celebrities through the years. The hotel has been featured in numerous movies and books ”

“Visit the historic resort, Hotel del Coronado, and much more. Breathtaking views heading over the bridge to this idyllic "island", home of Frank L. Baum, author of The Wizard of Oz. Wonderful walking and biking town. Take a ferry from downtown San Diego! Ferry Landing has fun shops and restaurants. The City of Coronado Public Library is a welcome spot to stop for a rest, browse new and extensive selections (children's section is outstanding!) and enjoy a bit of the city life.”
