Brewery

“Toppling Goliath Brewing Company is a world renowned brewery famous for Mornin' Delight, Assassin and Kentucky Brunch but our favorite of their beers just happens to get a good 'ol Pseudo Sue or Pompeii. TG recently moved up the hill, outside of town a few miles, where they have abundant seating, both indoors and out. If you're staying for more than one beer, you'll want to check out their menu!”

Cafe
“Bustling cafe by day, live music hangout by night. Check out the 'muffin tops' made fresh daily, alongside a range of fresh-brewed roasts. Their lunch quiche and soups are good, and they make a good London Fog (tea, foamed milk, choice of syrup) or Smog (as above, with espresso). To showcase Decorah's many talented musicians and wordsmiths, they've ramped up a schedule of events in the evenings 7-9pm, ranging from acoustic guitar to jazz piano to dramatic readings of original work.”

“Seed Savers has huge gatherings and music festivals throughout the year but their mission to locate and store seeds from around the world to get back to pure breeds and sustain the old strains prior to genetic mixing. Very interesting shop and fields to visit. All seasons is beautiful along the stream.”

Point of Interest
“In the spring and fall, Luther offers "Peace Brunch" in the Peace Dining Room, which overlooks the Upper Iowa River. It's a great option as there aren't many breakfast places in Decorah. There are several other cafes and coffee shops on campus too.”
