“This spot is often overshadowed by its three-star cousin down in Yountville, but don't be so quick to brush it aside. Often thought of as the superior three-Michelin star experience by locals, Meadowood as a devout cult following of its own. Reservations are required and setting is formal.”

“Duckhorn, one of the pioneers of Napa’s modern era, first struck gold with Merlot, notably its famous luxury bottling from Three Palms Vineyard, which remains its flagship. The winery also has a following for palate-flattering Cabs and Sauvignon Blancs. Though the main portfolio tends toward the expensive, there are more affordable wines well worth enjoying under the Decoy and Canvasback labels. Reserve ahead and taste five current releases for $35, or opt for various limited bottle tastings.”

“I came and went straight to the outside wine bar to get some wine and pizza from Salumeria. They bake the pizza in a wood fired oven and it is perfecto! Lots of families in the outside area and the children were very happy to be there! The wine train pulls right up there so that was really exciting for the children and adults to see! They have a beautiful indoor wine tasting area but I was outside since I had my little Pomeranian doggy with me. They are a very dog friendly winery! Pizzas are delicious! $20 each. I bought the Margherita and the Salami. Both were beyond yummy!! I took the pizza home with me after I enjoyed a nice glass of Sav Blanc served by the glass for $8. Was a fun and tasty end to my wine tasting day! ”

“A restored building from the early 1900's is the main tasting room. Their wines are excellent. Right on the highway between the Culinary institute and Lincoln Ave in Calistoga... Worth a stop if you are passing by. ”
