Places to stay in Del Rio
Our chapel is located next to the Cherokee national forest and near Cosby campground.
Front wheel drive vehicle or four wheel drive is needed back our mountain road. Not good for motorcycles. Gravel road. We have a suburu and Honda Civic and they do fine. We encourage our guests to arrive during daytime hours due to our mountain location.
This is remote mountain country and private, but Carver's Apple Orchard restaurant with home cooking. Is open 8am to 8pm and right in the neighborhood. Cosby campground is right up the road and the scenic foothills parkway in almost in the backyard. Privacy, convience and 6 miles off I-40.
  • Hands down the best vacation spot. Not only will you get to experience beautiful TN, but The chapel itself is absolutely beautiful with intricate details, and meaning behind it! So thankful we got to experience TN there, and thankful to have met Kathy and Mark! ❣️

  • The place is magical. It’s one of the most beautiful air bnb I have seen. It’s like having your own world it’s like a fairly land mark and Kathryn have created a magic land with gods grace. Love

  • Pictures don’t do this place justice...it is beautiful inside and out. There is such detail and hidden gems to discover throughout the property. Lovely place to stay, quiet and with amazing views and great hosts. No WiFi but this only added to the experience of being able to disconnect from the world and reconnect with nature. Would definitely recommend to anyone and will hopefully be back soon!

  • Mark & Kathryn are some of the kindest ppl & The chapel is absolutely amazing (ask mark why he built it) it’s such a comfy & cozy place. The property is amazing too, in fact after we got there we decided to spend our time exploring around the mountain the chapel is on & it was beautiful. My favorite part is all the small details mark put into it, take a close look around & you can see that LOVE went into every part of building it! I really wish we could have stayed longer but we will most definitely be back (hopefully) many more times to enjoy this really amazing place! Thanks Mark & Kathryn!

  • My Boyfriend and I stayed at Kathryn and Marks this weekend while we were in Tennessee for a hiking trip in the Smoky Mountains. As the other reviews talk about the pictures truly do not do this place justice. It was the perfect place to spend a quiet weekend from the city. It was very clean, unique, and full of charm. Kathryn and Mark were so friendly and hospitable and made us feel so welcomed. The house had amazing mountain views and was so cute and cozy. Definitely recommend staying here!!

  • This peaceful retreat was just what we needed. The house space is lovely but the real treat is the abundance of outdoor amenities. We had such a wonderful time meeting the animals, exploring the trails, and relaxing on the swing up by the ridge overlook—such a gorgeous landscape. Rock and Kristalyn have put so much love into this property. Definitely one of our favorite stays, we can’t wait to return!

    Mike2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This cozy tiny house was perfect for three college students on spring break! The area is so peaceful and beautiful, we especially loved taking a walk in the morning and saying hi to the alpacas and goats :)

    Sara2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely stunning place with friendly hosts that met with us so we could pet/feed the animals on the property. Fantastic lookout views, would 10/10 recommend and plan on coming back someday

  • This tiny home was easy to find and perfect for what we needed! They even left us a “happy anniversary” post card. It was cozy and cute, I wish we could’ve had more time to explore the property.

    Brigitte2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Rock's place. The property is amazing. The lookouts and trails were well maintained and beautiful. The zipline was a hit with the kids, as were the animals and swings.

    Staci2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great space! Peace, quiet, and land to explore in abundance. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

    Jamal2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I rented out the tiny for a weekend getaway. The hospitality was great, and when it snowed, Rock and Kristallyn even shoveled the steps for us. Very close to an awesome animal sanctuary called farmony, also just a short drive to downtown Marshall and only about a half hour to Asheville. Very easy to find, everything was clean and comfortable and we will definitely be back again. There is an amazing tree fort and several awesome views to see on the property.

  • Clean, cute space in a convenient location for our needs. Host is very nice & responsive. Great value!

    Tiffany2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • First, I must say the Host Denise is extremely kind, knowledgeable of the area (recommended some amazing places) and truly an amazing host (the Wifi kicked off about 7am on a Sunday - I sent an email and she responded almost immediately and had it fixed just as fast). The communication was fast and accurate and easy check-in. The space is basically an efficiency apartment with a very comfy bed!! The kitchen is separate from the bedroom and a small quaint bathroom. The kitchen has the essentials needed if you want to make your own meals. This is perfect for a traveling Nurse or others who are needing extended stay accommodations. The price is excellent for what you get and it has a laundry room across the hall, which was very convenient. Also, there is the yummy Rustic Cow coffee and ice cream parlor downstairs!!!! The location is excellant because there are several restaurants within walking distance and a Walgreen you can walk to as well. Minutes from Interstate 40. Denise and her husband are very friendly people and I highly recommend their Airbnb, I will book again when I return and hope for a longer stay.

Comfy room and full bath in quiet home with private, key-less entry in country setting 15 minutes north of Asheville. Shower, bathtub, WiFi, electric kettle, coffee/tea, mini fridge, microwave, Roku TV, big closet, and patio table and chairs. From here it's easy to bike along the nearby French Broad River, raft or kayak (put-in at Ledges Park nearby), relax, birdwatch, hike, and explore all that Asheville has to offer! Whether for business or pleasure, we hope to make your visit a pleasant one!
Residents, Room, and Property are Relaxed, Laid Back, and Kind of Funky (in a good way!) Though the French Broad River and cycling training route, Riverside Drive, are minutes away, you must bring your own raft, kayak or bicycle.
Quiet, rural neighborhood. Several small, Buncombe county parks dot the French Broad River nearby, and a hiking/mountain biking trail is a several minute drive from the house. Ledges Park, a popular put-in for kayakers, is just down the road. The quaint towns of Marshall and Weaverville, with eateries, shops, parks, and art galleries, are very close.

Come enjoy seclusion and mountain views in this sweet little off grid cabin tucked back in the woods of our 125 acre private gated mountain top escape near Pisgah National Forest. Hike 150 yards down a flat gravel road to get to the cabin for a retreat from your normal day to day life. Disconnect and enjoy the mountain view, nature and solitude. Bring your dogs. Bring a book and lounge in the hammock. Enjoy the simpler things.
DUE TO THE NEW COVID 19 STAY HOME STAY SAFE COUNTY REGULATIONS: MAY IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR LOCAL RESIDENT RENTALS, ESSENTIAL TRAVELERS (either you have an essential job or you are here looking for real estate/moving here) AND QUARANTINE. THE PRICE WILL BE ADJUSTED IF YOU SHOW THAT YOU QUALIFY. This off grid cabin is located on 125 acres of private land that is gated and backs up to Pisgah National Forest. It is 4 miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway and to the top of Mount Pisgah. It is close to all of our favorite hiking spots and swimming holes on the Blue Ridge Parkway! An easy 25 minute drive to Asheville and all of it's amazing food and breweries. The cabin is 100% off the grid: that means solar panels for limited electricity needs, propane heaters help keep the cabin cozy during the winter, and an outdoor shower and outhouse. Enjoy our 3 burner propane cook top for cooking, granite countertops, a sink with a water dispenser for drinking water, board games and a very comfortable queen size bed. Lounge in the giant hammock under the trees. Due to Corona virus- We are requesting that guests bring their own Queen sized sheets, pillows, blankets and towels. We are spending extra time disinfecting the space with a bleach solution between guests. We provide a solar shower that can be used year around in the outdoor shower. During the summer we attempt to keep our rainwater shower running, but it's temperamental so consider it a bonus if it works during your stay! We also provide a list of other places to shower if you are staying for a longer period of time and crave a long shower or it is too cold to shower outdoors. The cabin has mountain views through the trees and is tucked back in the woods on a flat gravel road that you will have to walk on to get to the house. You will stop and park near the out house. We provide a wagon to help get your things to the cabin. The outhouse is about 150 yards from the cabin with floor to ceiling glass windows looking out through the tree tops...definitely the best view you have ever seen from an outhouse! The outhouse is cleaned out weekly on Mondays sometime between 8-11 am by a service truck. Our Goal Zero solar generator provides limited electricity to run the solar lights inside the cabin. If it has been cloudy, then the solar generator may not get charged enough to run the lights. We try to keep lanterns and flashlights around as back ups...but it's best if you bring along your own incase the solar generator runs out of power. We do have a back up solar generator that we keep charged in case it stays cloudy for days so please let us know if you need it. Bring some wood and make s'mores in our fire pit! Bring a cooler for your perishables since we do not have a fridge. We love all dogs of any size and welcome them to come on vacation with you! They will need to be left in crates if left indoors while you are out adventuring in town. Bring dog beds along for them. We are happy to be able to provide a dog friendly space since we too are dog owners and lovers....we just request you clean up after them, relocate their poops to the woods, and be sure to sweep up their extra dog hair before you leave.
Our mountain top escape is at the foot of Mount Pisgah and backs up to Pisgah National Forest. We have 3 airbnbs on our 125 acres of land. If you don't see the dates you wanted with this cabin, please check out our other properties.
  • The location was private and had wonderful views. We enjoyed relaxing on the hammock and the cabin was just as promised and had a rustic charm that we loved.

  • Haley’s cabin is the perfect place to escape the city and really enjoy the outdoors. The cabin is charming and rustic, the bed is very comfortable. The views of the mountains from the hammock are stunning. There is a hiking trail 5 minutes down the road with a stream and small waterfall- it was the perfect way to spend the mornings with my daughter and dog. We will definitely stay here again.

    Danielle2020-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • I loved staying at the Hammock House. This place will give you an incredibly unique experience. My boyfriend and I enjoyed the cozy space, beautiful view, hammock, and unique green-friendly amenities. It was everything we were looking for, and then some. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for a unique experience, enjoy camping or few modern-day amenities. If you don’t like to walk outside to go to the bathroom, this may not be the place for you, but Haley’s clear communication on ALL of the aspects of your stay make everything crystal clear. There are no surprises or unexpected hurdles.

    Laura2020-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • JUST WHAT THE DOCTOR ORDERED! The best place to get away without going far. We love Haley’s cabins and this one is top notch with the epic hammock! We loved hiking the MST and Pisgah trails, just 10 min away. We also loved Haley’s great recommendations and how perfectly clean the cabin was. We will definitely be back and have already recommended the space to several friends looking to get some fresh air during these crazy times.

    Katherine2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Cannot recommend highly enough! A beautiful cabin in the perfect location - secluded while also close to Asheville and plenty of things to do. Laying in the hammock looking at the stars was our favorite part, although it was hard to choose!

    Devon2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I were blown away by this place! It was so cool and Haley clearly put a lot of thought into it. The directions to get there were very well explained and everything was so clean. We loved that we were able to bring our dog with us. She loved our relaxing weekend get away just as much as we did!

    Levi2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this space and the openness. Enjoyed relaxing on the hammock and on the front porch. Will definitely be back in the future!

  • What a gem! Samuel and Tammy have carved out such a special little space in the mountains, a secluded woodland built all by their very own hands. The 100% cedar wood sauna is magical, and the tiny house was charming with a wonderful view of the creek, and roaming through the trails brought us to spectacular views. They are also so incredibly friendly and warm!

  • It was a great week. We loved the pond right next to us. It was about a 45 minute drive to Gatlinburg, so you are in the sticks but close enough to all the attractions. The kitchen had just about everything you need, just no microwave. The bathroom was tiny but that was expected. I would recommend hiking up to the Peace Pagoda. It was very peaceful and romantic, would definitely recommend any of there tiny houses. Perfect getaway during this Covid-19 stuff!

  • Peaceful retreat. Beautiful property. Cozy house. Lovely and kind hosts. Highly recommend adding the soaking tub and sauna to your stay. They are therapeutic wonders. I highly recommend staying here!

  • The place was so lovely! Very cute tiny home! I was very impressed with the quick responses from the owners. They were so kind and helpful with anything that we needed.

  • Incredible location and great hosts. Allow you space and privacy, but quick response when needed. Plan to visit again.

    Kristofer2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • The stay was amazing! The hosts are very friendly and great if you have any needs. There is a cute creek right in front of the tiny home and you can here the water flowing even while you’re inside and it’s so nice. We drove an Elantra to this location. It was a steep hill, but the car did okay. We originally parked right at the tiny home but it had rained while we were there so we decided to park at the barn. If you are comfortable with your car and know it’s limits, you will be okay. If you are uncertain, I would recommend 4 wheel drive. This is a tiny home, so pack light! They do have space in the home for you to hang stuff up and hide you bag away, but it will get crowded if you pack too much. I think everyone should stay in a tiny home at some time (for the experience!) and this one is a great one to stay at! :)

Camp Grits offers a camping experience not be found anywhere else in the Smokys. Come stay in our little black cabin in our woodsy yard, put some wood on the wood stove, climb up to the loft and open the hatch: catch the last wisps of camp fire smoke and the owl's calling. Wake up to the smell of your lover cooking eggs, and toasting homemade bread.
This 12 x 12 cabin built by my husband Jim from locally milled lumber and salvaged materials, sits about 100 feet from our homestead nestled in these wild woods. There is a beautiful Norwegian wood stove to heat the space in the winter and to cook on. There is a mid century day bed to lounge on or a third guest to sleep on. A propane stove to cook on, and running rain water to wash and do dishes with. There are three solar powered lights, and an led lantern to light the space. There are tea and coffee fixings, and enough cooking utensils to make a feast. The sleeping loft is accessed by fold down attic steps (weight limit 270 pounds). Up there you will find a comfy futon made up with soft vintage linens, quilts and a super heavy duvet/comforter. From here you can access the top porch and look down onto the fire pit area and the woods beyond.
Rocky Flats Rd is a cherished community of wholesome folks and friendly alternative types. It is a neighborhood so expect the whir of a lawn mover, the barking of dogs, crowing of roosters and the occasional "bang bang" of our neighbor's guns on a Saturday afternoon. We love this place and feel absolutely safe here.
  • Every bit of Our experience was perfect! Taking a quick overnight getaway trip with a friend and it was the exact experience we were looking for. The cabin was spotless and the hospitality impeccable. Grateful to have found this gem!!

  • This place is exactly where you need to be if you're looking to: A) Get a little escape from stressors and distractions B) Feel inspired and able to work/focus on your craft or hobby (i.e. writing, reading, art, music...) C) Create special memories and share a unique experience with someone you love. Great things to note: -wood burning stove-- simple to start the fire! Even for me, a 34 year old woman who has never started her own fire! Kept us warm until well into the night. Covers will keep you warm after it goes out. You can build one outside too, for roasting marshmallows if you'd like. -front and back deck get great sunlight and are the perfect place to sit and stare into the woods. very tranquil! -the creek is just across the street. so pretty! -outhouse bathrooms are WONDERFUL. So, so clean and nice and lovely. -easy to cook stovetop with a great cast iron skillet. I recommend putting the homemade bread (that they provide for breakfast-- it's incredible) on the skillet with some vegan butter. This toast is... the BEST. -loft bedroom/bed very cozy. My 5 year old son and I went to Rosie (and her family's) place so that we could get out of Nashville for the weekend and enjoy some time out in the woods. We built our first fire together, he experienced an outhouse bathroom for his first time (he loved it!), roasted marshmallows, listened to music we brought on a radio, made sunprints, took a short hike near the creek, read books... notice none of these activities included any screens or other technology. Which is EXACTLY why I took him here. I highly recommend this spot for a couple or a parent/child duo. It is super special. :)

  • Great place!

  • My boyfriend and I enjoyed a chance to get away into nature at this cabin. Lots of thoughtful touches. Bring an extra pan if you plan on cooking a lot, a headlamp or extra light for finding your way in the dark, and some jam for the delicious homemade bread. Would stay again!

    Hailey2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • I love everything about this place. It’s the perfect spot to get away, and you can’t beat the outdoor bath/shower. This was my second stay here and I’m sure I’ll be back.

    Jane2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfect Airbnb for the last night of my trip around the Smoky Mountains. The cabin was so tastefully designed and listening to the peepers all night let me settle into a great night's sleep. My friend and I loved taking an outdoor shower after our rafting trip on the Pigeon and settling into this gem of a cabin for the evening. The oat milk, bread and eggs were delicious! I would most definitely come back to this spot again!

    Larissa2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome little cabin in the woods. The cabin was very comfortable and provided a wonderful way to disconnect. We enjoyed making a fire and listening to the nighttime noises in the woods. The outhouse was very clean and a rooster call was the perfect alarm clock.

Sweet rural atmosphere. Old time barns along road. Country homes, pastures and hills. A wonderful old oak tree in the driveway turnaround. Quaint one-room cabin. Remember you're in the mountains, so when the weather's warm bring your bug repellant. You might see wildlife also! We've seen deer right out front! Refreshing get away!
  • This place was better than I had expected! This was actually my first time staying in a cabin and it was WONDERFUL. Definitely recommend!

    Lexus2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was perfect! It feels pretty isolated, but it's close to town, so you have l the things you need pretty close. It was less than 20 minutes to some great hiking, and the area is beautiful! The cabin itself was pretty small, but it was perfect for a getaway.

    Andrew2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is everything I thought it would be and more. It was very clean and the hot tub was the perfect touch. My girlfriend and I did not want to leave. About 50 minutes from Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, but the drive there is beautiful. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who is contemplating this cabin.

    Genti2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great secluded spot! Dogs loved being able to roam and definitely had enough room to do so. Great view on top of the hill. The bed is only a full size so it can be a little cramped but otherwise the cabin itself is a great size for two people. The hot tub on the balcony is amazing. Generally was a clean cabin with plenty of parking out front.

  • My husband and I really loved the cabin. It was super clean and had all the essentials needed for our stay. The hot tub and heart shaped bath were relaxing and romantic. Jennifer was very responsive to all of our questions. The only downside is the cabin is quite a haul to pigeon forge and Gatlinburg but that’s our fault for not researching the exact location beforehand. Overall it was a great stay. I’ve already recommended to a couple friends.

With the Cherokee National Forest for a backdrop this two bedroom, one bathroom 1934 cottage has amazing views and is located in the Houston Valley area of Greene County, Tennessee. A great location, convenient to historic downtown Greeneville, shopping, banking and fast food restaurants and only 25 miles from Hot Springs. Asheville is only an hour away. There is also trail access minutes away for hiking, biking and trail riding. Enjoy horseback riding at Meadow Creek Stables 8 miles away.
This little house was built in 1934 by the Davis family and has been in the same family up until a year ago. It has two ac units and a gas fireplace. To say it’s cozy is an understatement! Only a 15 minute drive to shopping in Greeneville makes this the perfect retreat.
This farmhouse is located in a quiet farming community very close to the Cherokee National Forest. It sits on two acres of land and is surrounded by pastures and forest. Sit on the front porch and enjoy the peace and quiet!
  • The host had great communication and was quick to respond. The home was very clean and exactly as pictured. We loved being able to sit on the front porch at night. We were on an unexpected trip due to a family members decline in health and weren't at the home much so we didn't use the kitchen. However, it has everything you would need to prepare a meal and plenty of dishes and utensils. The location was perfect for us traveling in Greenville and to knoxville. They had a cot for us to use for our fourth person and was kind to set it up for us. Would definitely recommendend this home and host. We hope to be able to come again.

    Amber2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay. We would love to come back anytime! They were some of the nicest people we have encountered through Airbnb and really enjoyed a relaxing secluded stay.

  • This is a charming, comfortable and easy to access house. Beautiful surroundings, quiet and peaceful. Cathie and Richard were so gracious and friendly, hope to meet them again. Choose the Davis farmhouse, you'll love it.

    David2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • I grew up in NE TN and Cathie’s home was like going back to my family home all those years ago. The house itself envelopes its visitors in welcome coziness. Cathie is an endearing hostess who has thought of her guests’ every need and is quickly available should you need her. It goes without saying that her home is spotless, that the beds are comfortable, and the towels are soft. What else could one expect from such a place? I think that my very favorite thing about Cathie’s home was the delicate music of the wind chimes that serenaded us just outside our window. I fell asleep to their sweet lullaby.

    Spring2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely love staying at The Davis Home!! It had everything we wanted and more!!! Cathie was a superb host!!!

(Airbnb lists this as a room with an airbed but we do not supply a bed or tent). Primitive campsites set down in our quiet valley. There are water spigots, and guests have access to a beautiful men's and women's bathhouse with hot showers.
Airbnb lists this as a room with an airbed but we do not supply a bed or tent. Horse Trails, Pool. Great for Large Groups, Youth Groups, Camps, Family Reunions, Horse Clubs, Clinics, etc. The trails lead up into the Cherokee National Forest. One trail goes up to the Meadow Creek Fire tower overlooking the ranch, then goes down the other side of the mountain to the Burnett Gap.
Aaah, peace and quiet. A close knit neighborhood at the foot of the mountains. Easy access to hiking and horse trails. Lot's of wild edibles if you know who to ask such as blueberries, black raspberries, nut trees, and chicory. It stays cooler up here than down in Greeneville, and we get magnificent cool winds. Sometimes when it's been raining the clouds will flow over the mountain like water. We also have our fare share of wildlife- plenty of rabbits, the occasional deer, raccoons, foxes, turkeys, killdeer, cardinals, bluebirds, hummingbirds, Canadian geese, various hawks and birds of prey, whippoorwill, doves, swifts, woodpeckers, and many more. We also have free ranging cats, all fixed, spayed, and vaccinated. Also friendly!
  • Great place and amazing value! Clean bathrooms and showers in a charming bath house. Lots of beautiful horses and farmland. My boyfriend and I made the hike to the fire tower through the National Forest from this property and saw amazing 360 views. Most everything was closed down because of the Covid-19 outbreak, and I hope we can return to see everything up and running including the bar, restaurant, and store. They also had trail rides available including one all the way up to the tower.

  • Lynn's place is absolutely beautiful. You are surrounded by nature and can see the stars at night. Everything is quiet and peaceful. Lynn and the other workers on the farm were all extremely kind and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We originally planned to stay one night but had to add an extra night because we didnt want to leave! Stay here and you'll have a wonderful, relaxing time under the stars.

Situated on five beautiful private acres, The Gathering Place offers a private entrance suite, and ultimate privacy. There is a large, clean, natural pond, rushing stream, and a meandering creek. Ken and Laura, your hosts, are busy and active people, and you will be able to enjoy all the beauty, privacy, and quiet that you want. Although private and secluded, The Gathering Place is close to everything, and convenient to entertainment, shopping and enjoying nature.
The suite is private, quiet, and roomy. Hear the rushing stream just 100 feet from the suite. The suite is cozy warm in winter and fall, and cool and comfortable in spring and summer. The rushing stream, elevation, and shade of the trees makes stifling, artificial air conditioning unnecessary. The suite does have standard sofa sleeper that can accommodate children. NOTE REGARDING Corona virus concerns: Now that we are all able to begin returning to normal lives, many potential guests have concerns about residual virus germs: We treat the room with an ozone generator after each guest stay. Ozone kills virus germs as well as other bacteria and odors. We want you to feel safe during your stay. READ OUR POLICY REGARDING PETS IF YOU PLAN TO BRING YOUR PET! PETS MAY NOT BE LEFT ALONE!
Located at about 3600 feet elevation on paved major road. The road is the best maintained road in the area, as Cataloochee Ski Area is located at the top of the mountain. In the summer, Cataloochee ranch is open for horseback riding and other activities. The area is mountainous, developed, and easy to get around by two wheel drive car, although a four wheel drive is recommended in winter, and when exploring remote areas.
  • Great space for a couple to bring their pets. Lots to see around the yard and surrounding area.

  • If you’re looking for relaxation, look no further. The location is ideal for a quiet getaway. The view from the deck was so peaceful. Definitely would go back.

  • Great unique place. Perfect place if you need some nice porch time. Beautiful scenery, the grill, hot tub, fire pit, and hammock make it easy to spend hours out there!

  • This place is super quaint and perfect. Nestled up the mountain but also right down the road from everything. Has all the ammenities and feels very private. Clean, cute, and had nice touches throughout. They also get back to you almost immediately, it was wonderful all around!

    Jordan2020-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • This space was amazing for my husband and I to get away and find a little peace for some at home work. The creek is so close and sounds wonderful! The hot tub was super relaxing, as was the claw foot tub! It is a romantic place and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We also took some time to walk around the property and just enjoy the outdoors. We plan to go again soon!

    Tara2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place for a relaxing weekend in the mountains

    Samantha2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • The Gathering Place was amazing and all around great. I appreciated every gesture and kind touch they had in their place; from the coffee, hot tub, fire pit heater, candy, local restaurants. It all played into an outstanding experience that I enjoyed very well.

  • The cottage was simply fantastic. It’s clean, cozy, private, and Tonette was very accommodating for our stay. I highly recommend staying at the cottage.

    Kail2020-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Tony’s place was a perfect, quaint, cozy, quiet place. The best part was that Tony made time in the evening to bring out the horses and introduce them to the kids. It was definitely the highlight of their trip to be able to meet the horses. There is also a nice creek to play in and open grassy area to run. We were just in for the afternoon and left early AM, but it was a perfect stopover. Large yard for the dog to run as well as the kids. Would stay again if we were passing through.

    Lisa2020-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • It was an awesome and cozy place! I loved the tub and Tonette was awesome! I wish i could’ve stayed longer!

    Meghan2020-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • Tonette was a gracious host. She welcomed us when we arrived a little early and let us in. We had a late addition to the number of people staying during our stay and she was very helpful. We loved walking the trails on her property and the horses. If we are ever going to travel to the area again we will defiantly check for openings with Tonette first.

    Dan2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • I can’t say enough good things about Tonette’s place. It was so much better than we expected. Quiet, peaceful, clean, and cozy. It’s in the middle of nowhere with only a small Dollar General and one restaurant within ten minutes’ driving distance, so if you want a quiet getaway in the country, this is the perfect place! There is a town twenty minutes south with more stuff in it. It’s a very old house, but everything works perfectly and it’s been well taken care of! We felt at home as soon as we walked in. We didn’t have cell service, but the WiFi was strong. The photos don’t do it justice. Don’t hesitate to book a stay here. It was wonderful. 10/10! We’re already planning our next visit!

    Kyler2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • If you love nature this is perfect also that it is pet friendly with no annoying crazy high hidden fees just awesome. Super nice people, beautiful cozy stay, will definitely come back.

  • Enjoy a quiet relaxing time in this old cute remolded 2 bedroom cottage. The bathtub is gigantic! Bring a pair of loafers to keep your toesies warm as you roam around the inside of the house. It’s just a relaxing place to go!

  • If you want to camp but don’t want to set up a tent, this is the perfect place. It was super easy to find, very accessible and checking in was a total breeze. Located in a campground but still very private. You get the total camping experience but with a few extras! Outlets to charge phones, a ceiling fan and of course, two cozy beds. The full size mattress was a bit noisy but we slept like a babies with the windows open. Super quiet neighborhood and a very short walk to the lake. Would definitely stay again if I pass through!! Thanks so much for the stay guys!

  • I had an extended stay of about 3 months here Cedar Creek. For the time I was there Rebecca was excellent communicating with me when I had any questions or concerns. This place was stocked with everything that I could ever need and more with plenty of space for families to come and enjoy. The location was perfect for exploring. Plenty of hiking trails within an hours drive as well as Morristown, Knoxville, Asheville, Gatlinburg, and many other places to visit. Overall, I had an amazing stay here and will definitely be going back to explore more of East Tennessee.

    Miles2020-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • My fiancé and I loved the stay! The place was incredibly clean and smelled really good (plug-ins). The view was breathtaking and jaw dropping! The pictures truly do not do it justice. The hosts were very friendly and truly went above and beyond. The night we arrived, the lights were on as well as the Christmas tree so we didn’t have to hunt for the lights or trip over anything. On The dinner table, the hosts had left us a bottle of wine and a gift basket of cookies and chocolate. It was a very sweet and unexpected touch. We will definitely return and recommend the place 100%

    Rubi2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca and Mike were amazing hosts! Our place was fully furnished with everything to make our family comfortable. We stayed over Christmas and our hosts went above and beyond by putting up a tree, stockings, Christmas decor, extra air mattresses, coffee pods/hot chocolate stocked and re-stocked, etc. We used everything from the grill, to the crockpot, washer/dryer, and full kitchen with everything you may need. This location is convenient to lots of activities and the views are amazing! I highly recommend staying at Cedar Creek Hideaway for your next stay in Tennessee

    Chrisi2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Rebeccas place is amazing! We had a family of 4 (2 adults/2 kids) we were extremely comfortable in the king bed. My sister and niece slept in the pull out one night and said it too was extremely comfortable. But with the 2 cots it could easily house more also. Prior to arriving Rebecca and family communicated almost immediately. They asked if I needed anything in particular. They helped me figure out what places were safe and clean in the Gatlinburg area (even though I ended up not staying in Gatlinburg). They also helped me think of fun things to do near the Greeneville area. I arrived at Cedar Creek Hideaway at a little after 3 am. We were all exhausted and happy to find such a wonderful bed waiting for us! We slept in got up, took a nice shower and pleasantly found some breakfast bowls waiting in the freezer. Graciously the kids ate them as we had yet to go to the grocery store. Come to find out Rebecca put them there knowing that we would be arriving so late! It’s little things like that that makes Rebeccas place SO wonderful! They literally think of everything! They have a Keurig that had plenty of coffees and hot chocolates to choose from. They also have a regular coffee pot for those that like more then one cup. They have a crockpot which was perfect for chili after a day at Cades Cove along with a full kitchen! Rebecca continued to check in on us throughout the stay to make sure there was nothing we needed. She also followed up with us to make sure we arrived home safely and helped my dad get an item that I forgot too! The furniture and decor is all new farmhouse looking with nice amenities like charging capabilities in the side table. There was plenty of space for all of us to feel comfortable even when my parents came and ate dinner with us. The views are to die for!! On the first day when we were leaving as soon as we walked outside my kids gasped. They had never seen such beautiful views and they were so happy I “bought” them that place (my 2 year old!). We were all very sad to have to leave! I’ll definitely be back and would recommend this hideaway to anyone! Just hope it doesn’t book on the days I want them next year! Cool fact: my dad said this farm use to be an ostrich farm back in the day!

    Cassandra2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location and hospitality with spectacular views! Becca and Mike were wonderful and very helpful with things to do near the house. Coffee on the porch overlooking the mountains was my favorite. Close to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Asheville, there’s plenty to see and do. Highly recommend taking a scenic drive through the mountains for the gorgeous views. The house was perfect for a few people and would be a great romantic getaway for couples. Highly recommended!

    Kristin2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely love this place! Very comfortable, and Rebecca has practically thought of everything you should need during your stay. Look forward to staying at this one again. Merci Beaucoup! Dee and Wayne

  • 5 stars! Stay here! Beautiful b&b, Rebecca has thought of everything you could possibly need. Lovely space, quiet, peaceful, walk out and see the mountains every day! Yet, close to all the things you want to do: Cades Cove, Biltmore, Gatlinburg Artist Loop, Max Patch. I wouldn't stay anywhere else now when visiting!

  • We loved visiting this cozy cabin! The location was beautiful, also, but the cabin is so stylishly decorated and comfortable, that you could easily spend all of your time relaxing indoors. We explored the creek area and were delighted to find an abundance of spring wildflowers popping up. Listening to the sounds of the burbling water from the studio location was utter tranquillity!

    Leah2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great getaway place....beautiful setting....relaxing space

    Michael2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience here was splendid :) Though we stayed through a couple snow storms and chilly weather, Maria provided an abundance of heaters, and we had the fireplace for added warmth as well. Her contemporary touches and decor really amplified the ambiance of the cabin, and for someone who’s had spinal surgery like myself, I found the bed to be very comfortable and cozy! My personal favorite thing, however, was the studio that had ample 360deg sunlight for a day of peaceful reading. And since it was strategically built next to a running creek, you can enjoy the sounds of nature while relaxing :) The only minor downside was the cabin’s distance from the Smoky Mtn National Park, but that was expected for the level of privacy and seclusion from the outside world my boyfriend and I wanted. Definitely would recommend for anyone interested in a well-balanced vacation!

Welcome to our (320sf/29m) rustic 'stuga'. We live 20 minutes from Asheville and 7 minutes to the quaint river town of Marshall. Folks love our place for the homemade character of the cabin, mountain views and interesting farm setting. It is perfect for couples or a single traveler seeking minimalist simplicity. Doggies welcome too! Un-plug in style while enjoying proximity to major sights, with starry night skies and a sunrise over our orchards and gardens.
Rustic elegance. Our cozy cabin is two-stories tall, on top of a hill overlooking our 'home hill' of 2.5 acres covered in young fruit shrubs and nut trees. On the first floor is the kitchen, small dining area and porch. Upstairs is a full-size bed and reading nook with mtn views. The kitchen is stocked with cookware, an electric burner, spices, oil, and a water heater (for coffee or tea), small fridge, and drinking water. The water system is rustic, but it works well. Fill up your own water from the spigot nearby. The cabin has an outhouse a short walk away, but no shower or bath. In cold weather, there is a space heater and a Turkish wood cookstove, the cabin is tight and heats up easily in winter. There's a garden fence that doubles as a pet enclosure (Yes, your doggies are welcome!) a fire ring for enjoying the nighttime out-of-doors and 3 miles of interesting walks and steep trails around the neighborhood that we have developed. We are slowly building an outhouse & seasonal bathhouse close to the cabin. People have booked our cabin for romantic getaways, for personal writing and music retreats but mainly for it's awesome proximity to hiking and culture. Many folks come to get a feel for staying in a tiny home and for it's interesting array of plants.
The neighborhood is rich with interesting people and projects, including an artisan cheese dairy and the 'Prama Institute and Wellness Center'. Geoff is an agro-forester who has helped develop most of the trails and planted fruit and nut trees around the neighborhood. You may notice that we are building a second larger guesthouse with attached greenhouse This is a great weekend getaway for people wanting to get away from the city, enjoy a taste of Asheville, read and write, or become engaged to their partner (twice happened!) Dogs are welcome and we are an affordable option to host small 40+\- person wedding ceremonies and receptions.
  • Cute little house in a very relaxing setting! I had a great time exploring the mountains and the owners were very welcoming and hospitable.

  • Everything was clean and exactly as pictured! All of it was above and beyond our expectations. A phenomenal birthday vacay!

  • There is nothing to complain about whatsoever with Margaret’s and Josh’s place (other than not being lucky enough to see a bear — I like bears — but that speaks to the safeness of the area). The cabin was spotless, it had everything we possibly needed, and its back porch view is on-point, to say the least. I always respect a quick responder, and I fortunately got that with Margaret and Josh. We will definitely consider planning another trip to the area sooner for the simple fact that we now know we have this place as a tremendous and reliable option.

  • Views from the back porch were amazing! It was absolutely breathtaking to wake up every morning and look out the window to see that view. Pictures can't do it justice. Overall great trip!

  • We enjoyed staying at the cabin. The view from the balcony was beautiful. Cabin itself is beautiful! Very clean. We will definitely be staying again! Thank you Margaret and Josh

  • Very clean, comfortable bed, amazing views and peaceful all around. Will be looking forward to coming back 😊

  • The most perfect cabin!! It’s a close drive to everything in PF and Gburg, but it feels so private and secluded at the same time. Beautiful mountain views, great amenities. Literally had everything you need down to the spices and board games! The hosts were the sweetest and made everything easy for us. This was the best cabin we’ve stayed at in mountains and we can’t wait to come back!!

  • The cabin is so cool!

    Felipe2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Although it's pretty obvious that this is an older camp ground in need of a few updates, all facilities worked fine, plus the cabin/tent was adorable, maintained a nice temperature at night (with the help of a fan when necessary), and came outfitted with a couple games, a basketball, and mini golf equipment. We only stayed one night, but I could have easily stayed one more!

  • Cute little cabin in the middle of nature. Lots of nature so be prepared! I really enjoyed the Fire Ring and picnic tables along with the lovely front porch. I ended up using my own sheets though because I prefer cotton to microfiber when it is so humid and warm without air conditioning. Warm a friendly hosts that have obvious put a lot of love into that little building!
