  • Beautiful little Chalet! Very warm welcome from Kim who showed us around the property which is much bigger inside than it looks. Couldn’t find fault with anything and the location was perfect as it was so close to the beach which our dogs absolutely loved.

  • Lovely accommodation, ideally located for peace and quiet but only a 15 minute walk to bus stop and bars. Great value for the size with 2 lovely big bedrooms and in the summer the garden would be great to sit out in.

  • Just what you want to stay in when you go to the beach. Just a short walk away from the beach and walks. Lovely welcome. We can’t wait to go again.

  • Living in Lincoln, for years we have been spending hours in the car travelling to places in Yorks and Norfolk, when all the time what we needed was a comfortable hour away! Love what Ian & Kim have done with the chalet, its very cosy, clean and well equipped. The secure garden and decking areas are amazing too and the half door in the kitchen is perfect for letting some air in. We took out 2 dogs and they loved it as soon as we let them out the car, they did not stop smiling and playing the whole time until the sea air finally knocked them out! Kim keeps the chalet super clean and there is plenty of cleaning stuff around to easily maintain the hard work she puts in. The bedding and laundered towels were a treat and it was nice to not have to worry about anything on our little break except enjoy our time together. Location wise, wow! Loved how close to the beach we were and everyone we met was so friendly. Also loved how peaceful it was in the evening, you cant help but chillout. Highlights are the garden/decking, location for the beach, standard of decor and Kim/Ian as hosts. Something to consider if staying here with your dog(s), the nearest dog friendly pubs (that let dogs inside) are in Cleethorpes so you will need to get into Cleethorpes to benefit from these. We went to the Notts Hotel where the landlady was lovely and Waggie Tails which is a dog themed bar/cafe. I think there are more than I mention here but we didnt go away specifically for this so we were content with these pubs.

  • We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely cosy chalet, it’s a stones throw from the beach which is ideal for walking dogs which we did several times, the enclosed garden is a lovely space with lots of children’s toys and trampoline! It is a home from home, clean and with all the things you need ie kitchen utensils, towels and bedding, and a lovely welcome box with wine and nibbles, highly recommend

  • This was a return visit for us, as we loved it so much the first time! The second visit did not disappoint. Plus, the weather was good, so we were able to sit out and enjoy the sheltered private garden. All the extra special touches were there again, such as prosecco!! We were at home right away, with KIm greeting us warmly upon our arrival. The chalet is so comfortable and beautifully appointed. Also, what a treat to be able to walk a few steps across the little road and see the sea! The beach was nice and quiet, lovely for walking our dog and good old fashioned shell collecting. We have already booked Visit Number 3!

  • Great value for money in a lovely homely chalet. Great location just over the road from a fabulous dog friendly beach and walking distance of the town which has many dog friendly shops. Everything is spotless in the chalet and everything provided so ideal for a quick escape. Graham is a friendly helpful host who can be there in a few minutes if needed.

    Jo2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Graham's chalet is well equipped, warm on cold autumn nights and in a quiet area of the site but within easy access of site amenities/entertainment. There were lots of places to visit close by. It was a great location to stay if you have a dog as it was a few minutes walk onto the beach. It is only a 15/20 minute stroll along the beach into Mablethorpe and a 30 minute drive to Skegness. Louth is a lovely little town to visit, especially on market day. Graham is a great host and responds immediately to messages and arrives very quickly to let you into the chalet, once you arrive at the site.

    Judith2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed for a couple of nights early september. I can't sing Graham's praises enough for this little chalet- the place was spotless, it had everything you could need for self catering and the location was fantastic for dog walking (about five minutes at most away from the beach), mablethorpe itself (about fifteen minute walk either along the road or beach). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend Graham's chalet to anyone looking for a value for money stay in a quiet location.

    Robyn2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Cant reccomend this place highly enough. The Chalet had everything you could need including some special touches such as Graham making sure you had some milk for on arrival. The location is great, it's on the quietest part of the site and a great place to relax. Graham as a host was amazing. Nothing is too much trouble, he is friendly and very clearly cares about you having a great stay. I would highly recommend the Chalet and Graham to anyone. Thank you for a great stay.

Set in 4 acres of woodland on a working farm that borders a quiet stretch of the Lincolnshire coast, our cosy lodge is a place to relax, connect with nature and leave your troubles behind. Ideally located for exploring sandy beaches and wildlife reserves including the Donna Nook seal colony. Convenient for visiting Lincolnshire's unspoilt market towns such as Louth and uncovering this county's rich history and unhurried way of life. We encourage campfires, stargazing and leaving with a smile!
The Garden Room, in its private and peaceful setting is surrounded by woodland and open farmland close to the Lincolnshire coast. Spacious and furnished to a high standard throughout, our priority is your comfort and so we have taken great care to choose quality beds and bedding to ensure your best nights sleep. The well appointed living/kitchen offers a comfortable area where you can eat and relax. The efficient central heating system and insulation to the walls and roof means we can welcome you in all seasons of the year. The veranda and patio has sheltered seating areas where you can enjoy a barbecue, sit around the fire-pit (logs provided) or simply enjoy the views towards the Lincolnshire Wolds. We are on hand to greet you and advise on your visit but we value your privacy and so leave you to enjoy your break.
This is an undiscovered and quiet part of the Lincolnshire coast although not far from the coastal resorts and sandy beaches of Cleethorpes and Mablethorpe/Sutton. The Humber Estuary is internationally renowned for its abundant wildlife and habitat for over-wintering birds. In October and November seals come ashore to have their pups on the shoreline at Donna Nook and this has become a popular local visitor attraction to see nature at close hand. It does get busy in the height of ‘seal-watching season’ so we have devised a circular walking route from The Garden Room that takes you along our quiet farm tracks to the coast and back. You won’t meet a soul until you reach Donna Nook car-park! Allow 3.5 hrs.
  • A fabulous location, gorgeously peaceful and relaxing. The wonderful hosts have provided everything you need and have done so with a stylish and thoughtful flourish. We will definitely be visiting again!

    Geraldine2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is truly magical. If you’re looking to relax in peace and spend some time in the countryside then this is perfect. Its not too far to drive to town if you need to, but it is peaceful and very quiet (except for the odd Owl hooting at night which is wonderful!). The cabin is very comfortable and has every thing you need and more, the gardens are beautiful, and Edward & Liz are welcoming and warm hosts. We highly recommend their special hideaway for both couples and small families. We can’t wait to go back 😊 We even timed it right and saw seal pups at Donna Nook which was a rare treat.

    Nicola2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Garden Room is a lovely space, it's wonderfully comfortable and there are many thoughtful touches left out for guests. Edward and Liz were very helpful with local tips and were very communicative. Would highly recommend staying here!

    Felicity2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the Garden House to go and see the seals at Donna Nook, Edward and Liz provided easy to follow instructions that took us all the way there without seeing anyone else! We hope to come back next year x

    Charlotte2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • The Garden House is the perfect hideaway. Beautifully situated amongst the trees and away from the main house with easy parking. It's really well equipped and all the food basics are provided. We had a lovely winter weekend watching the nearby seals but it would be perfect in the summer too with long evenings spent on the decking. Edward and Liz are great hosts.

    Iain2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a real gem and is packed with everything you need to have a treat stay, whether travelling as a couple or family. Liz and Edward are very thoughtful hosts. 5 stars ***** Thank you!

  • Cornelia is a great host and has a lovely simple stylish studio to stay in. No real complaints at all, I found the bed a little uncomfortable, but simply slept the other way round and it was fine!

  • A lovely welcoming host. I highly recommend this gorgeous studio flat. In a great location for the the sea front and shops. A great size for a couple or single person to use. The flat was absolutely spotlessly clean with a really comfortable bed. The kitchen was perfect to cook simple meals. Overall I couldn’t be happier and would definitely book again and again. Thank you for such a lovely stay :-)

  • Cornelia’s place was the perfect place to stay whilst working away from home. Everything that you needed to cater for yourself and was very private- great value for money and not too far from the beach/pubs/Bars etc. Sofa bed wasn’t that comfy however, but still had a good nights sleep. Would defo come back if I was working in the area again!

Upgraded 1960’s cedar chalet in the quiet Mablethorpe chalet park. The chalet is dog friendly. It is just a short walk over the dunes to the stunning beach and a fifteen minute easy walk to the town, or the Land train and Pirate bus pick up from the end of Links Ave. You have a parking place right outside the chalet, and the double doors open up and you can sit outside on a sunny morning. The kitchen is set up with all you need to self cater.
This is a quiet Park with The Cedar Bar and Restaurant, Arcade, Launderette, Shop and children's play area. The electric is via one pound coin meter.  The Chalet is to be left clean and tidy as found with all pots washed, dried and put away. Please bring your own towels. We supply the bedding for the double and single beds, and other essentials such as toilet roll and washing up liquid.
The little town of Mablethorpe is a 15 minute walk, either by road or along the beach. During the warmer months you can travel into the town on the Land train or the Sand train (which travels along the beach). There is also a bus that goes into town. The beaches are stunning, and if you like walking, you can walk for miles along the sandy beaches in both directions. The town has plenty to keep you occupied such as Arcades, Bowling Alley, Queens park paddling pool & Boating lake, and the small Fun fair on the seafront. It is a really dog friendly town, where you can take them into many of the pubs and cafes.
  • What a fantastic little chalet. A perfect way to while away a few days in peace and quiet surrounded by beautiful scenery! Would definitely reccomend!

  • Thanks Pauline for being a fantastic host! We only stayed for a short two night stay for the weekend but Pauline kindly gave us local tips and recommendations to ensure we made the most out of our stay. The chalet was spotless and catered for all our needs with homely touches, including all the essentials. We arrived after work and Friday and Pauline had even put some pound coins in the meter to warm the chalet up for our arrival so we could get straight into relaxing for the weekend. We would definitely recommend and visit again. Thankyou! Zoe and Carl x

  • Fantastic. The cottage was perfect for the 4 of us and the dog. Walks nearby and a very dog-friendly pub. Travelled along the coast and had the mix of the weather - sun, rain and winds - and it was great. Ann and David are good hosts, friendly and accommodating, and we could eat those breakfasts everyday! We’ll look forward to returning; possibly for Halloween, loved the decorations and the lighting!

Get a real taste for England’s history by staying in this converted Norman Church! This Grade II* listed building provides an excellent base for exploring Louth, the Lincolnshire Wolds and some classic British beaches. With it’s peaceful setting in a tiny village on the edge of Louth, the church also provides the perfect place to relax and unwind. We converted the church in 2014 and lived in it for 4 years until the arrival of our son, we love it and really hope you have a wonderful stay!
My architect husband saw the church for sale in the local paper. It was in a pretty sorry state so he decided buy it and bring it back to life. We lived in it and even had our wedding reception there but the arrival of our little boy meant that the open plan layout was slightly less practical for everyday life, so now we would like to share it with you lovely lot. We maintained as many historical features as possible with out sacrificing the comfort and functionality of a 21st century home this means you can froth the milk for your cappuccino using the built in coffee machine whilst gazing at the 7 meter high stone arch or glance at the original Norman font whilst catching up with your favourite box set on the smart tv with super fast broad band. The entire church has been sensitively converted into living space providing a very large kitchen/dining room/ living room. The kitchen has an induction job, microwave and good size fridge freezer and has all the space and utensils you need to whip up a mega Sunday roast (our family always insisted on having Christmas at the church so we have tested this out a few times). The dining table can seat up to 10 people and the two large sofas provide plenty of space for lounging. The open plan layout means you can enjoy a chat and glass of wine whilst dinner is being prepared with out anyone being marooned in the kitchen on their own. The master bedroom has a super king bed and spacious en-suite with a rainfall shower and huge bath. Please note that it is separated from the living area by a giant wardrobe and a curtain, offering visual privacy but not total separation. The second bedroom is located in the old vestry, with access to the second bathroom just across the living area. There is underfloor heating as well as large cast iron radiators which keep the church cosy on even the coldest day. There is a large gravel drive way with space for 5 cars and a large lawn for use by guests.
Located in a small village on the Edge of Louth. It is possible to walk into town or walk across the fields and enjoy the Lincolnshire country side. The church is located within 5 minutes walk of the canal which runs from Louth to the coast (approx 30 miles). This provides a really lovely route into the town or across the country side and we are very proud of the fact that kingfishers can be spotted on this pretty waterway. Louth is a quaint town which was built on the wool trade in the 1700s. Today it has a good range of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. All within 10 minutes drive of the church and Louth has 3 supermarkets (Aldi, Morrison’s, Coop) with the closest being a 5 minute drive from church. Louth is also the gateway for the Lincolnshire wolds which is an area of outstanding natural beauty and is excellent for walking or cycling. We are also close to a range of beaches from the wild sands of Donna Nook to the classic seaside towns of Sutton on Sea, Mablethorpe and Skegness, though our favourite spot is the Seascape cafe at Chapel St Leonard’s. Those who have an interest in history may like to visit Lincoln (40 minute drive) to take in the cathedral and view the original Magna Carta
  • Such a thoughtfully designed space and a pleasure to be in at all times of the day. The warmth was a delight and we cooked for five easily without missing a utensil. The history of the church is thrilling and to be amongst it a real privilege. Thanks also for being a lovely host.

    Pascale2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and great hosts. Sleeping in a 1000 year old church with all the modern facilities was quite amazing! Will be back!

  • We can not speak highly enough about this beautiful Airbnb! A truly unique place in a great location. Katherine could not do enough to help and offered lots of advise to help us enjoy our stay even more. Thank you for a wonderful trip!

    Kelly-Anne2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place, exceeded expectations. We will definitely be going back, great pub about 15 minutes away too and it's very dog friendly.

    Amy2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • My family of four (plus dog) recently stayed for a short break at this stunning and most unusual property. We felt really at home and relaxed in the open plan space. We all appreciated the welcome goodies left by our hosts and also the high quality of kitchen facilities. The building is truly incredible and we felt very privileged to be able to stay in such an historic place. Our hosts responded really quickly when we needed them and would recommend this property if you are looking for something a bit different.

    Carol2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • A very unusual property (in a good way!). It really is as good as it looks in the photos. We'd definitely recommend it. The description is accurate and it is well equipped, warm and comfortably property. The location is a quiet village outside Louth. It is convenient for the local town (Louth), for Lincoln and for seeing the seals at Donna Nook. We have no hesitation recommending this impressive church conversion.

    Michael2019-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Have just finished a truly amazing break at this converted church. The pictures really don’t do this place justice and staying here really felt like a complete re-charge for the batteries!! So calm and relaxing. We have stayed in many unique rental properties and this conversion was the best quality by far!! More like the quality of a five star hotel. As for the local area, Louth is a lovely little town with all that you would expect, the American diner is excellent and the chip shop (Parkinson’s) was really good. Well worth a trip to the seal sanctuary in Mablethorpe much better than expected and also going to Donna nook in November and December and seeing the wild seals and pups was amazing! Also climbing up the 199 stairs at st James church was well worth the view and the tea and cake at the bottom was truly deserved after the climb. Also well worth a visit to Hubbards hills, lovely walk and a great place for a picnic. All in all a perfect stay in a lovely area and a beautifully converted church.

  • The house is in a nice area with walking distance to the Town centre. The local swimming pool is within a five minutes walk. The home was clean and we had access to Netflix and Wi-Fi. My two year old enjoyed a bath every morning. Definately coming again.

  • Pumpkin Cottage was amazing! We booked our stay on the day we were driving up and Sarah and Des were willing and able to get everything sorted with very little notice. As hosts, they were so sweet and helpful and made us an amazing breakfast! The room was lovely and spotlessly clean. And I'm terms of location, as we had come to go to Donna Nook and see the seals, we couldn't have asked for more - it was a 5 minute drive to the reserve. If we ever come back to see the seals again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again :)

    Melicca2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Pumpkin cottage provided us with a perfect overnight stay, for visiting the seals at Donna Nook. Arriving in the dark, Sarah was outside to meet us, which was both incredibly helpful and thoughtful. Our room was warm, cosy and clean, and everything we needed was provided. And breakfast was superb, and certainly set us up for a morning by the sea. We would be more than happy to return.

    Debbie2019-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah is a kind and generous host. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and was close to Donna Nook. I recommend Pumpkin Cottage without any reservation.

  • Just back from our second trip to Lee’s cosy chalet. It is a lovely space and spotlessly clean. I took my dog this time and she loved it too. Me and my sister will be back next time we visit our Mum.

    Sarah2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • It is exactly the same as the photo's. Lee gets right back to you if you ask him a question!! Such a lovly place to stay. Very clean site. Really worth the money.

    Debbie2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience from start to finish. Lots of lovely thoughts around the chalet, on site bar serving food which is great. Everyone friendly and welcoming. Would go every week if we could.

    Shakira2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • The Chalet was lovely, with lots of personal touches. It was ideal for our little family. The location was great. Walkable distance to all the main attractions, yet far enough to be out of the busy town. Our toddler loved spending her birthday at the seaside and I would definitely recommend for anyone with a small family wanting a little break away. Lee was a great host, quick to respond and answer any questions. Overall we had a great time!

    Ami2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • The chalet is on a park around about a mile from the town centre and a short walk to a lovely beach. Everything was as stated and exactly as the pictures show on the website. The kitchen has everything needed such as a kettle, toaster with plenty of utensils, pots and pans. There was a nice welcome pack which was handy and we enjoyed the sweets. The TV is freeview and has a ruku stick for catch up and netflix. There was a small charge of £2.00 per day to use the wifi which i wasn't aware of however the wifi did work fine on all our devices. The shower worked when you follow the instructions and we had no problems with hot water. There is a parking spot right outside the property. There was some noise in the evenings however this would be expected on any holiday caravan and chalet park and wasn't a major issue. There are two bedrooms one with a double bed the other with bun beds, bedding and towels etc were provided. This was our first experience of staying in a chalet and we did really enjoy our weekend. I would definitely stay here again and i would recommend Lee's Chalet to anybody thinking of staying here.

Self-contained garden building with a double bed, curtain dividing it from a kitchen/seating area and en suite toilet and shower room. Garden to roam and funky veranda (great for sunsets). Travel cot is available. The essentials for breakfast: tea, coffee, cereals, jams, bread, eggs (from our own hens) and Jane's home-made granola are provided to get you going. Microwave and single, electric hot-plate for cooking. Please visit our social media site (yes, that one!) 'A hideaway in the country'.
The Cobbler's Cabin is right next to our home, Cobbler's Cottage, in a quiet Lincolnshire village. You can relax here, stroll the country lanes, walk along the beach or just chill out on the veranda. And there's free wireless internet if you really miss the outside world.
There are plenty of quiet (flat!) country lanes to explore on foot or by bicycle (we've got two you can borrow) with two or three pubs within easy reach. The nearby Lincolnshire Wolds is wonderful walking country too, there's the cathedral city of Lincoln 45 mins away and historic connections with the Mayflower Pilgrims at Boston. The Georgian market town of Louth 7 miles away is perfect to stroll around and sample the produce supplied by some wonderful independent food shops. It has cosy pubs, specialist retailers, live music venues and has the country's tallest parish church whose spire you can climb to get a stunning view of the surrounding countryside. Lincolnshire is known as Bomber County and has many historic, wartime airfields including the home of The Dambusters at Woodhall Spa. Wide open beaches are only minutes away. You can experience all the fun of the fair or find deserted beaches where the only company is the seagulls or, in November and December, the hundreds of grey seals that gather to give birth to their pups at Donna Nook. Cadwell Park racetrack is about 10 miles away and hosts Superbike Championship rounds as well as track and corporate days.
  • I don’t really know where to start! Well all I can say is the truly deserve to be long standing superhosts! We only booked one night for a nice wkend away for myself and partner. They were so kind and thoughtful from the word go! I booked it but my partner secretly emailed Peter and Jane to say he was proposing to me ( which he did whooop) and they put some procecco in our fridge! Lovely little self contained place nice and cosy and good value!! The bed was comfortable and lovely breakfast options etc. thank you and lovely to meet you both!!

    Jennifer2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I have just come home from our escape to the country. We stayed here as we were visiting friends in Louth (15 mins away) so the location was perfect for us. Peter and Jane are some of the most considerate hosts I’ve ever spoken to on AirBnB. For example I told them I was vegan after they asked about breakfast foods (bacon and eggs which my partner thoroughly enjoyed) and they did some research and found me a local pub with a vegan menu, so sweet, thank you! Cobblers cottage is the perfect little hideaway, with such sweet touches. The bed was comfier than our bed at home and offered an amazing nights sleep after a long day of driving. We definitely want to head back in the Summer to take full advantage of the incredible garden. Thanks for our wonderful, easy stay both.

    Milly2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely & peaceful, spotless little place to stay in with comfy bed & sofa. Location good for Louth, the Wolds & the coast. Great touches left for us for breakfast - met the hens whose egg I enjoyed & Jane’s granola was very nice. Recommend totally!

    Marie2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Peter and Jane’s place was as others have described: cosy, warm and quiet. We had a lovely stay. Communication was great and they generously left us breakfast, including eggs from their chickens. A lovely start to the New Year. Thank you.

    Erin2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic cabin with everything needed for a relaxing/spoiled rotten get-away. Comfy bed and all the makings for the breakfast of kings with fresh eggs (chickens round back), bacon, juice, bread, butter, homemade muesli and homemade jam. Close to Donna Nook, with seals still on the beach, and Louth. And plenty of beautiful countryside - with your own view from the verandah. I watched a gorgeous pink sunset.

  • Awesome place to stay, had a great time and Andrea is a very welcome and helpful host!

    Charlie2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • All I can say is wow! I almost don’t want to say too much as feel like I’d be spoiling some of the little touches and surprises Andrea’s place has but I will say this is the best airbnb we’ve stayed at and the accommodation is up there with a five star hotel. The level of finish and clever ideas that have gone into George’s Gaff is above and beyond, the quality throughout is top notch and everything you need is ingeniously worked into the space. The property is lovely, peaceful and quiet and is the perfect spot to get away and recharge your batteries. The space is warm and cosy with a freestanding thermostat to get the temperature just to your liking which seems to be a rarity in this kind of property. Everything was impeccably clean and well appointed. We managed to see seals at Donna Nook (less than half an hour drive away) at the very end of the season to top off a wonderful stay. I can’t recommend this place enough

    Karl2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay in Millies Mews. It was a great place to get away from it all and we even got to see the seals at nearby Donna Nook. The accommodation is very stylish with lovely fabrics and personal touches. Just wish we had stayed more than one night.

    Laura2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Just wow! Place is stunning in the middle of a garden with chickens in the beautiful countryside. Far enough away from it all to really relax. In the fridge they'd left so much for us! Cheese, fresh bread, eggs, fruit, port! So nice of them. Can't wait to stay again.

    James2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful little hideaway with lots of thoughtful touches. Very quirky and would highly recommend.

    Anna2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in George’s Gaff and it was absolutely superb. If you’re looking to unplug, enjoy the serenity of the surroundings and indulge in Andrea’s delicious homemade bread and jams, then this is the place for you. The attention to detail is seamless and we felt completely relaxed and recharged; so much so that we didn’t want to leave! Perfect getaway spot, thanks Andrea & Chris 😊

  • Great hospitality, met on arrival and Alan helped me sort entertainment passes. Shown around the caravan by the lovely Sue and made to feel at home. Caravan was spotlessly clean and in such a beautiful location overlooking the lake. Didn't want to leave, hope to be back soon.

  • Lovely caravan, immaculately cleaned with home furnishings and little extra touches. Great view of the lake from the living room and ten minute walk to the beach. Would highly recommend. Welcoming hosts.

  • Lovely caravan in a quiet corner of the park, only a few minutes away from the beach. Alan and Sue were there to greet us, and tell us about the place. We would be very happy to stay again when we next visit the area - thank you! :)

Modern, self contained and up to date. Includes everything home from home. Half / Pet friendly self catering cottages in the heart of rural Lincolnshire; near Louth and only 3 miles from the seal colony at Donna Nook on the Lincolnshire coast.
Nowhere else will you hear the 'Dawn Chorus' like you'll hear it here. The cottage is very private with no public access and peace abounding.
Louth is a lovely Georgian Market Town (markets Wed, Fri, Sat). is a thriving market town, brimming with community spirit, alive with character and steeped in tradition. Unfortunately, it is missed by many Lincolnshire visitors as they head to the seaside resorts along the east coast. It is perhaps for this reason that Louth is still in many ways the same place it was back in the 17th century. The streets are still a jumble of Georgian and Victorian architecture, the shops still offer traditional, locally sourced foods and the church of St James, famous for having the tallest spire in England, still dominates the skyline, offering a perfect panorama of the historic town and a glimpse at the beauty of the surrounding countryside. While in the town, take a stroll down the winding cobbled streets and find the unexpected. Louth offers six family-run butchers, the famous Pocklington’s Bakers, two grocers, an old-fashioned tailors, a cobblers, a fish shop, and of course the famous Louth Cheese Shop, selling a wide selection of cheese’s, including the award winning Lincolnshire Poacher. If you’re feeling a little shopped out, visit the splendid museum, follow the Art Trail or discover Tennyson’s Wall. Come the evening, why not visit the theatre or the art-deco cinema, and when you need a refreshing drink after your busy day of exploring, try one of the many Elizabethan pubs, offering local ales, and good wholesome home-cooked food. If you want to explore a little further afield, then Louth is an ideal base. Lincolnshire offers wonderful countryside, as well as number of famous tourist attractions. Cadwell Park just a short drive from Louth, is famous for being one of the country’s most challenging motor racing courses. Snipe Dales and Gibraltar Point are National Nature Reserves and Skegness Seal Sanctuary is a great fun, educational visit for all ages. There are also opportunities to go horse riding, gliding, fishing, and there are a number of golf courses to try, both for beginners and experienced players. What Louth is particularly popular for, however, is walking, and every year during May and June, there is an annual walking festival. A short walk along the river will bring you to Hubbard’s Hills, a park designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, that is known to delight visitors of all ages, no matter what time of year. If you want to venture further a field but don’t want too taxing a climb, then the level walks along the navigation canals are perfect. If however, you want a bigger challenge, head further into the Wolds, where there are miles of footpaths, bridal-ways and mountain biking tracks. To make it easier for visitors to find the very best routes and associated villages, the local councils and rambling groups have put together a number of specially defined routes and guide books. These guides are free and available throughout Louth and the surrounding areas. The Silver Lincs Way is the one most specific to the Louth area. Louth is famous for selling locally sourced foods, and the most famous restaurant in Louth for doing this is Melanie’s. Everything on the menu is locally sourced and homemade, including the scrumptious cider. In 2010 the restaurant won the Best Restaurant Taste of Lincolnshire Award.
  • A great place to stay, Sandra is a wonderful and helpful host. The heating is easy to control so even in stormy weather we were nice and comfortable. There is amazing wildlife to be seen - we saw a barn owl on opening the front door and a badger walking down the road at night, We walked along the canal to tetney locks ( good dog friendly pub there) and in the opposite direction into Louth an interesting market town. We enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable bed for sound nights sleep too!

Great Carlton is approximately a 15 min drive to the market town of Louth and within 20 mins of the coast. The area is rural with plenty of walks and cycle routes to enjoy. There is a local Co-op shop 2 miles away which is open until 10 pm. There is a village hall and a country church within Great Carlton but generally it is nice and quiet. The accommodation is set within a lovely cutting flower garden and above my flower workshop and I am very happy for you to enjoy the garden.
The Little Barn accommodation is the upstairs part of our new Barn. The Barn was built two years ago and is to replace the falling down cowsheds that were on the same location for many years. We took care to design and build the new building in a very similar style to many old brick and pantile Lincolnshire barns with the four arched openings. We are proud to let out the upstairs accommodation and hope that our guests are comfy during their stay. The outlook is into my cutting flower garden which looks lovely when in full production. We are very happy for you to enjoy the garden as well as the little summerhouse set within it.
The market town of Louth is a 12 minute drive away from us here in Great Carlton. Louth is the ‘Capital of The Wolds’ which is a beautiful undulating rural area with many places of interest. The coast is about a 15 minute drive away from Little Barn heading East. There are some small coastal communities to visit and sandy beaches for long walks. Lincolnshire is also know for its great cycling routes as well as the famous Cadwell Park racing circuit which is about 20 minutes drive away.
  • The Little Barn exceeded our expectations. The accommodation is lovely, very clean and the little touches which were left by Sarah were a bonus. The barn would be perfect in the summer! We will be recommending to others!

  • In the middle of a cold, very wet british winter...we found ourselves in the little village of great carlton in this beautiful barn conversion on a stunning sunny weekend. Sarah greeted us on arrival with a big smile the lovely labrador by her side. The property was beautifully clean with everything you need. The kitchen is small but a great use of space. No oven meant we wouldnt be able to cook a large meal but as we were heading out for the night, that didnt matter to us at all. There is however a hob, microwave and a toaster, so breakfasts and small meals should be no bother. The lounge area is spacious and comfortable aswell as the bedroom and bathroom. I also loved the notice board which provided us with with a lot of information. Sarah recommended a couple of restraunts to us, including "The Auction House". We had a great meal there and would definitely return. Thankyou for our stay and for being a great host. 10/10

  • The little barn is just wonderful. It is decorated to a very high standard with everything you could wish for. I wanted to move in! Sarah was a lovely host and communication was great. She greeted us like old friends. Special touches like a small real Christmas tree in the hallway were very much appreciated. Very private space, we have a really lovely stay. Thank you !

**Looking for a single night. Please send me a request - subject to availability - there will be an additional £10 cleaning fee payable for single nights. Set on this quiet and unique conservation site known as 'Humberston Fitties.' Ideal for those interested in the slower pace of life, being close to dedicated Wetlands and the RSPB Tetney Marshes. The site featured in the ITV program Robson Greens Coastal lives (aired 10/10/17 Episode 5) Our much loved family holiday home.
Having fallen in love with the 'Humberston Fitties,' we purchased this property as our family holiday home and undertook a renovation and refurbishment program during early 2017 to bring the tired property fully up to date with all modern facilities. The property was fully re-wired and we installed a new energy efficient electric heating and hot water system. The site itself was made a conservation area in 1996 and consists of over 300 individual and quirky chalets. Also within the Fitties is the Humber Mouth Yacht club which is adjacent to Fiddy Dee Chalet at the far end of 1st Main Road. Access to the beach is to the side of the club house and therefore the location of our chalet is ideal for family holidays. The Fitties is located in Humberston, to the south of Cleethorpes and is away from the general hustle and bustle of the main holiday resort. It is very popular with walkers and bird watching enthusiasts. The adjacent Tetney Marshes are a site of special scientific interest and is protected under UK & EU legislation. It has been managed by the RSPB since 1997. There are wonderful views from the sand dunes of boats and ships navigating the Humber Estuary. The beach area at this end of the site is dog friendly all year round (the beach at Cleethorpes does prohibit dogs during the summer months)
Although the 'Fitties' is a designated holiday site a large percentage of the properties are actually occupied 10 months of the year by owners so there is a good mix of residents and holidaying guests. Fiddly Dee is located in a small cul de sac of approx. 7 chalets, of which the majority are owner occupied and all very friendly! An ideal quiet retreat if thats what you are looking for.
  • Fabulous stay with very thoughtful and friendly hosts. Highly recommended

  • Great location and a lovely beach chalet, would definitely recommend. Friendly and helpful hosts. All the amenities and home comforts you could need. We were a bit worried about it being cold in winter, but it was lovely and warm with the electric heaters. Will be coming to stay again!

  • 1 minute from the beach and nature reserve. The sand is lovely to work on but beware the mud when the tide is out. An interesting slight time warp on Fittes but the accommodation is modern and sparkling clean. We hope to go back.

  • Amanda’s place was just perfect. Tucked away, right by the beach, the place was lovely and clean & everything you could possibly need including extra homely touches. Extra thanks go to Amanda for contacting us after our stay to let us know that we have left our son’s favourite teddy behind. Amanda then popped it in the post to us so that they can be reunited. Lovely place to stay, great communication, would definitely stay here again next time we visit Cleethorpes.Highly recommend.

  • Lovely chalet in the Humberstone Fitties, right besides the dog friendly beach, the chalet is beautiful, sparkling clean with everything you could need, the garden area is great with outside seating for when the weather is nice and secure for the dog (who can be a bit of an escape artist!) we had such fun walking on the beach and around the fitties( little individual chalets with quirky touches) and nearby in Cleethorpes there are plenty of places to eat , a cinema, bowling etc. Great communication all way through, love this area anyway, but the little house made it for us. Thank you Amanda & Mike.

This is a lovely Maisonette at the back of a seafront property, so despite having no sea view it does benefit from beautiful sunlight in the afternoon and early evening. Just yards from the promenades and beach and ideally situated within walking distance of the lovely shops, bars and restaurants of the High St and Seaview St areas, and all attractions Cleethorpes has to offer. With its own secure off-street parking space, arrival by car at any time of the day or night is easy.
The apartment door opens into a small hallway, with a large cupboard/ cloakroom to the left under the stairs, and to the right an open plan kitchen living room. The living room has a sofa bed - accommodating up to two extra guests by prior arrangement, and a Smart TV – WiFi is included so you can log into your own entertainment accounts or cast onto it using your smartphone or laptop. The kitchen is fully equipped with all you should need, including a washer/dryer. There is an oven and induction hob, integrated fridge with a freezer compartment, microwave, toaster and most importantly a kettle - tea and coffee are provided so just let me know if you’ve any preferences on the milk and biscuits! Upstairs there is a landing with a large built in wardrobe, one good sized bedroom with a double bed, a Smart TV, a chest of drawers and a dressing table. Adjacent to the bedroom is the bathroom, with a shower cubicle. Towels, soap and a hairdryer are provided, and there is also an iron and ironing board.
Whether your stay in Cleethorpes is for work or pleasure, from this location you can make the most of the whole area. I’m happy to share my opinions on places to eat, drink and be merry (there are so many great options recently!) but due to the small humans I’m currently growing at home I don’t frequent these places lately as much as I used to! I’m more likely to be found in the sea, on the beach or the promenade - and if you love the outdoors too you’ll appreciate the beauty and variety of our huge beach and foreshore, it’s a very special place indeed.
  • Amazing us the only word to describe it . Kelly is an amazing host and always at hand if needed . Definitely reccomend to anyone

I live on the seafront in Cleethorpes and have a spare room available at the rear of the house on the first floor. As well as me in the house, my two friendly dogs live here too, although they're not allowed upstairs, and my grown up son is here some of the time as well. The house looks out onto the beach and is well located for everything that Cleethorpes has to offer.
The room is at the rear of the house, down a long corridor, and is quiet and separate to the rest of the house. It has a double bed and a wardrobe (which has a couple of things in but is mostly available for use. Immediately outside the room is a separate WC and washroom which will be reserved for your exclusive use. There's also a shared bathroom on the first floor, and a lounge, dining room and kitchen downstairs that you're welcome to use as well.
Right on the sea front of this classic seaside resort, all the amenities of the area are within a few minutes walk, and the beach is just seconds away. There are two good restaurants and a pub within less than a minute's walk but the neighbourhood is essentially quiet and within the room you'll not hear a thing whatever is going on out front.
  • Lovely couple; excellent firm bed and clean room and bathroom. Highly recommended.

The Seaside Hideaway is a lovingly restored chalet located on the ‘Humberston Fitties’, a secluded conservation site. It's literally a stone’s throw from the quiet sand dune beach, quite possibly the closest residence to the beach in the whole of Lincolnshire. Ideal for those who love being close to nature, enjoy the great outdoors or who just want to enjoy a quieter pace of life. 'The Fitties' is described by many as a time capsule. An opportunity to enjoy a holiday just like they used to be.
From the end of September until March, the Seaside Hideaway turns into a ‘Winter Cabin’. Faux fur throws, snuggly blankets, and thermos flasks at the ready. Winter is a very special time to visit. Grey seals return to the Lincolnshire coast in great numbers in late October, November and December, and give birth to their pups right on the sand dunes. A few may be seen on the Cleethorpes beaches, - and Donna Nook National Nature Reserve is just a 25 minute drive. Last year, over 2000 pups were born at Donna Nook, - it really is a very special experience and thousands of visitors come to see it. The best time to visit to see the seals is in November and early December. For bird watchers, the RSBP Tetney Marshes nature reserve is a short walk away and the Humber Observatory is close by in Cleethorpes. The beach next to the chalet is almost desolate in Winter. Enjoy a long bracing walk along the shore or coastal path and then come back to the chalet for a hot chocolate and enjoy a classic game of monopoly or scrabble. In April, the Seaside Hideaway is dressed again for the Summer months. Buckets and spades, beach games, beach chairs and loungers are at the ready for you to pick up and pop down to the sandy beach. - And it’s just 2 minutes back to the chalet for a cup of tea or lunch. The Fitties is still very quiet even in the Summer months, so it’s just the place you need to relax and unwind. The children can run around and play, make dens, play games and enjoy a traditional family holiday – just how they used to be! For babies and toddlers, a high chair and travel cot are available and there are also lots of children's games & toys tucked underneath the bunk beds. Dogs are also very welcome to come and stay. Dogs love it here and we love dogs. The garden has decking and a table for outdoor dining and it is fully fenced and gated. It also has a lockable storage shed where you may store any outdoor equipment or bikes. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking too with oven, fridge, microwave and cooking equipment. We try to provide everything you might need to enjoy a traditional holiday by the beach.
The History of 'The Fitties’: Built on former salt marshes, it was originally a camp for WW1 soldiers, garrisoned to two offshore forts in the Humber Estuary, known as Hale Sand and Bull Sand, - both half a mile offshore. Constructed on a submerged sandbank, these armor-plated forts provided crucial defense for our coastline .The forts were de-commissioned in 1956 and quickly fell into a state of disrepair, but they are both still a sight to behold from the beach. During the wars, most of the soldiers were based on land at The Fitties, but quite a few of them were based on the forts themselves. The forts are now up for sale for £250,000 each. We’d love to buy them and turn them into holiday homes! The Development of ‘The Fitties’ After the soldiers moved out, the site transformed from a makeshift campsite into a small hamlet of chalets re-developed by locals. A local community has now formed which treasures the past and the slow and gentle pace of life. If you need a cup of sugar – try asking next door! Turn off the TV in the evenings and go for a stroll along the beach and pick up shells or look under the bed and find a board game to play. Enjoying ‘The Fitties’ is all about enjoying life how it used to be. It’s a little piece of history, and we hope you enjoy it just as much as we do. Cleethorpes Cleethorpes is just a short drive away and is a lovely little sea-side town Grimsby Up until the 1950’s, the port of Grimsby was home to the largest fishing fleet in the world. Its docks were crammed with hundreds of trawlers, providing livelihoods to thousands of fisherman. Sadly, it went into demise in the 1950’s, but Grimsby Docks still continue to produce traditional smoked fish which now are an officially recognized local food delicacy. Please just ask us if you'd like to know where you can go and buy this for yourselves.
  • A really lovely place to stay, comfortable, warm, well equipped and so close to the sea. Great welcome pack (including dog treats) meant we hardly had to buy any food for the whole weekend!! I wish we could have stayed longer.

  • Not my first stay at Robs place. Its my first go to when I'm organising a trip back to my home town. Everything is always bang on. No problems. Rob is always welcoming and responds quick as a flash to any enquiry. Missy the shar pei also wants to say thanks for the tasty treats added to the welcome basket. Cheers and lll be back again.

  • If you’re looking for a lovely stay next to the sea ‘like we used to back in the day’ then you’ll love Rob’s home on the Fitties. It is very comfortable, has everything you could possibly need for your break and is beautifully clean. It’s located just behind the dunes at the mouth of the Humber Estuary with the most amazing beach walks, sunrises and sunsets - and the resort at Cleethorpes is just a 30min walk along the coastal path/prom. A visit to the Fitties is highly recommended!

  • Stayed in Louth at Tim and Vicky's place over New Year. It is so cosy and homely, perfect for our stay with our dog. Well equipped, with everything you would need for a stay. The house is quiet, with plenty of countryside for walks from the doorstep. However, it is not at all far from the centre of town either. We had a lovely meal out at the Greyhound where our puppy was warmly welcomed too. If we need to stay in the area again, we'll definitely be coming back here!

  • As a last minute trip this has been fantastic. We arrived late around 9pm and the communication up to arriving has been fantastic. Such a lovely touch was receiving a message to check we had arrived ok. Darren has utilised the space so well in this chalet. It has a modern feel to it whilst remaining warm and welcoming. Such a clean and tidy place which is lovely to see. He has really thought about his guests such as leaving complimentary drinks on the side, a well display info brochure and little touches such as condiments. We will definitely be using this property again. Thabk you once again.
