  • I can’t say enough about this magical place. The house is the perfect size for two, it was warm and cozy, and it is in a part of the country that I wish we had spent several more days exploring, it’s just so beautiful. We cooked breakfast, sat by the little stove, said hello to the donkeys every time we left or arrived, and loved climbing into the little bed at night. Heated floors in the bathroom were luxurious. I wanted for nothing.

  • Roberts place is a fantastic, cosy space to chill out for a few days. Plenty of amazing scenery to explore! Wonderful place to stay and a fantastic host!

  • Hey everyone, I had just such a great time at this wonderful place. I can highly recommend to visit Robert and the donkeys. Go there and get your inspiring Irland - experience. This place is created with love. You will love it! Thank you Robert :)

  • We had a lovely stay at the Hen House. Very cosy and romantic and Robert was a brilliant host!

    Aisling2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • We visited Roberts cottage, (who truly is a wonderful host), for our wedding anniversary as we wanted to stay somewhere a little different to the usual hotel etc... and it did not disappoint! It is small but it’s got everything you need as it has been so cleverly designed by Robert who lovingly built this wonderful place by hand. The craftsmanship was a pleasant break from the norm of mass production. It had a lovely stove to keep us cosy and the under floor heating in the kitchen and bathroom room was a nice surprise. We would recommend for any couples looking for a romantic weekend away. We also took our puppy with us, perfect destination for anyone with a small dog - with endless beaches to chose from. Honestly a special place, hope to go back next year. Thanks again Robert, for the chats, wine and hospitality. Ps. Consider this place for a winter getaway and enjoy empty beaches for a stroll.

  • Charming, compact and clean cottage with friendly donkeys as neighbours. Host is responsive and helpful. Ideal location for those looking for a quiet hide away. Close to Sligo and many quality walking routes.

    Michael2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • When my friend first saw the photos of the tiny windows, he said, “Hobbits!” It really is like living in a fantasy. Everything in the reviews is true, the pictures don’t do the Hen House justice, and Robert is utterly lovely. The area is wonderful, but just note that it is farther from Sligo than you might think and, if you are not experienced with driving in Ireland, I would not recommend getting off the motorway there. Do not rent from Hertz. I blew out a tire on the left side five blocks from their office. Eventually I took a cab to Knock Airport and rented a tiny automatic Kia, which I drove to Dromore West via mostly deserted back roads. After that, I was able to enjoy driving to Easkey, etc., but Sligo Town was still stressful. But it was worth every minute, and every penny of the insanely expensive car rental, to be able to stay in this incredible Hobbit House! Thank you so much, Robert!

There were some nice touches, like full bottles of toiletries provided in the bathroom and chocolate and bottled water in the bedroom. Good selection of breakfast provided also. Great value.

Lovely modern house set in a quiet rural location. Carmel your host is the local historian and if available, is always willing to chat to ensure your stay is a memorable one.
This quiet rural area is well worth exploring a visit to the local pub The Harbour Bar is a must it overlooks Killala Bay with beautiful views of County Mayo the sunsets here can be spectacular.
  • Carmel was great, quick responses. My friend fell ill with a low blood sugar in the late evening and she allowed him to eat anything he needed in the kitchen. Very nice.

  • I’ve stayed with Carmel before . She is an excellent host and the place is perfect for me close to the surf and great value for money . I’ll definitely be back

  • Carmel's place is super cosy! We slept very well in that comfortable bed and enjoyed the breakfast. We highly recommend her accommodation to everyone :)

    Bianka2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had with Carmel our best stay!!! We arrived completely wet because of the rain after miles with our motorcycle. Carmel opened the door and let us in giving us electric radiator and everything that we needed to dry clothes. We spent hours together talking about our motorcycle tour around Ireland, the fireplace was left on for us and and the ensuite in the bedroom was everything that we needed after the storm. Carmel made us fell like at home and a part of his family in those few hours together with her dog and cat. The ocean close to the house and the silence all around complete our stay. In the morning we left very early but the table was full of amenities and set up for breakfast. Wonderfull!!! We will be back

  • Carmel's house is lovely. She has the guest room done beautifully-it is cosy and clean with a lovely ensuite. She is so kind and welcoming, I felt like I was staying in my Aunty's. She had a lovely breakfast of scones and bread and jam etc and tea and coffee. She offered us a lift to Enniscrone for dinner which we thought was very kind, and gave us great advice on where to eat. As we rushed off for a wedding the next day, she loaned my boyfriend a Dickie-bow of her son's because he forgot his tie! The area is beautiful, she's really close to the beach. Carmel is an example of genuine Irish hospitality-we will certainly be back in the future! Thanks again Carmel!

  • Absolutley great place to stay and martina is a great host ...great place to stay in easkey

    Jamie2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Anna-Marie and Martina are wonderful hosts. The cottage is bigger than it looks in the pics. It’s in a very quiet neighborhood close to the small village of Easkey. The cottage has most everything you need. It’s clean, comfortable, warm and safe. The beach is a short walk or an even shorter drive. Eat at Pudding Row. It’s a world class cafe with fresh baked breads, coffees and a menu of some fine food. I can’t wait to return. Thank you Ladies!

    Ron2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Martina for letting us stay at your cosy and warm house. We really enjoyed to warm up again next the fireplace after a day of surfing. We are already looking forward to come back to beautiful Ireland :)

    Henriette2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Martinas place is a really great cottage. It is sparkling clean and there is loads of space. There was a great open fire with plenty of firewood so we were very warm and cosy for our week in Sligo. We would love to return sometime.!!!!

    Madeline2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Martinas place is ideal for a relaxing getaway. It is bigger and cosier than it looks in the photos. The location is perfect as its close to the town but yet very quiet especially at night time which makes for a good nigts sleep. Bed was a nice size and very comfortable. Kitchen equipped with everything you need. A nice sized bath and shower in the cottage however they lacked power and bath was very slow to fill but this didnt bother us. • This place is perfect for a secluded city getaway along the wild Atlantic way. We stayed here one night with our dog along our week long trip down the wild atlantic way. It’s very clean with everything you need and even a cosy fire, which Sheila very kindly left us some supplies to have it. We stayed during a very wild storm but wow was Aughris head impressive with its waves! Definitely worth a visit, with a drink in the beach house bar beside it.

We have designed this house to make it ideally suited for our holidays. It has a open plan kitchen/Diner area for entertaining and a seperate TV room (with a digitial library of movies). A decent shower with hot water on demand. A warm outdoor shower for washing off when returning from the beach which is a 6 min walk away and gas central heating. Although the exterior of the house isn't that inspiring the location is great for walking to the high street, village pool and pub.
We have a few finishing touches to make to the place and will update the photos to show these include : installing a solid fuel stove, putting up some blinds, getting bar stools and also a dining table and chairs. This will be done by 2018.
  • David's house is located very close to the beach and to shops. It was sparkling clean and provided everything you may need. The kitchen was really well equipped and the beds were cosy. The house was the ideal holiday accomodation and David was always quick to respond and very helpful and kind! We would always stay there again when in Enniscrone. Thank you!

  • Great house for a family, very close to beach, village, swimming pool and main access routes along the coast. Spotless on arrival and lots of helpful information from David for the local area. Our young kids loved the house and were able to walk everywhere and leave the car parked up for most of our break! 5 stars!

    Tadhg2019-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • David’s place was fantastic. The location was second to none - we were able to walk into Inniscrone in no time and have our choice of 3 pubs - Gilroy’s bar in particular was great! We were walking distance to the pier and the beach for early morning dips - local note - if you can count 10 steps, the tide is probably too low to jump off the pier. The house for us acted as a great base to explore from, he headed towards Strandhill and had great food and coffee before heading a hike up Knocknarea - fantastic views and a class boardwalk through the forest on the way back down. Another day we hit the Wild Atlantic Way, and ventured to a Downpatrick Head (a true must-see) and followed the Way southbound for the day. The house itself was fantastic, remarkably clean and tidy with the most comfortable beds! Lovely facilities for cooking dinner or sitting round enjoying a few beers and board games. For the little ones there is a tv room with a clear glass panel as well as the door allowing easy supervision. All in all, 10/10

  • We had a fabulous stay in Josephine's. The house is really practical and very cosy. Josephine had lots of little attentions for us on arrival as well as a fantastic choice for breakfast. Very generous with towels too. Superb location very near the sea and ideal for some quiet time. I would love to go back and would definitely recommend it.

  • A lovely warm cosy place for a family stay

    Kieran2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was lovely. Cosy, and perfectly clean. The house was warm, beds where comfortable. Easy to find as it is just up the road from Split Rock in Easkey. Would highly recommend Josephine house to stay for a quiet relaxing few days or even a few weeks! Lots of coastal walks and drives nearby. Easkey is a lovely cute village.

  • The accommodation is very good. A very good value for money. Not far from the west coast of Ireland. The owner left us lots of things at our disposal and a little attention. The owner is very available by phone and is attentive to her guests. It was really good.

  • A super house is a beautiful area. Josephine was a super host and lots of lovely touches and the house is very warm and comfortable. It is difficult to find a place that will accept pets so it was lovely to be able to bring my dog with me who enjoyed the lovely beaches and walks in the area. joan

    Joan2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed there for three nights and absolutely loved the place. House is clean and cosy, has everything that you might need. The owner, Josephine knew that we are traveling with a baby and provided high chair and travel cot (we’re usually missing those in Airbnb’s). There’s a self check in so late arrival should be fine. There was fresh milk, cereals, bread and other breakfast items left for us by the owner and in general house was nicely prepared. Josephine called us after arrival to make sure everything was fine and advised what to do in the area. There’s some beautiful beaches and walking trails just a short drive away. Our children had loads of fun watching cows on the field just beside the house. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend this Airbnb. Thank you!

    Anas2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay, place was lovely and clean. Josephine even left a few gingerbread men and mice pies knowing i was taking my kids that was a nice touch.

  • We really enjoyed Josephine's place, it is super comfortable, clean and it has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The house is quite warming which made our stay perfect! We would definitely recommend this place and stay there again! Thank you for everything Josephine!

    Lina2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great AirBnB. Geraldine was a fantastic host and we had a great stay! She even sent us a list of great places to go during our trip which was much appreciated. Wonderful experience!

  • We stayed over New year's and the house did not disappoint. Clean, well maintained, spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. We loved cycling and walking around the beautiful countryside and enjoyed the fabulous views. We had a great stay and we would love to return!

  • A stunning house, elegantly decorated, spotless clean and with modern fittings to make life simple. With views of the ocean and a cosy fireplace thrown in our stay was a joy beyond our expectations. Location was perfect, simple to find, with local shops and the ocean a few minutes drive and the bigger towns only 30 minutes away. Geraldine provided a wealth of local information on the various places to see, eat and visit both locally and a little further afield. Answering any enquiries quickly and thoroughly. I highly recommend visiting

    Nigel2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a sparklingly clean, modern home with all the amenities you could hope for, including a good size tub for soaking in. Geraldine provided a bakery loaf of bread to go along with all the supplies that were in the house, including butter. There was laundry soap, shampoo, shavers, cream rinse, Q-tips, paper towels, facial tissues, etc., etc. The place was really well-stocked. The master suite had a great shower as part of its ensuite. The other bathroom had the large tub/shower combination. The kitchen has an induction stove, which is a great feature, and there is a wood fireplace in the living area. The house is surrounded by lovely countryside with great views from the bedrooms and dining room down to the Atlantic shoreline. The laneways near the house are quiet and great for walking overlooking the sea. When we arrived, Geraldine had left a detailed note telling us of a concert that night and a street festival the next day. All in all, the house is like a showroom home, but as comfy as can be. We loved our stay and will be back the next time we are in Ireland.

    Graham2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Literally nothing negative to say about this house. Lovely house in a great location and excellent value for money. Geraldine is a super host.

  • We really enjoyed our stay. It is a lovely home and Lorraine is a great host

    Marian2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is an excellent property , very well kitted out and ideally located. Met by Lorraine at check in and she gave us a warm welcome and quick run down of the house. We were there during Storm Denis and the house was very warm with extra touches such as electric blanket and hot water bottles. All you need for self catering or just a short stroll into Enniscrone. Close to the great beach so ideal for families and dogs alike even with the Irish weather. Would recommend and hope to visit again.

    John2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing house to stay in. Walking distance to everything in the town and so close to the beach. Perfect for a surf trip. So cozy and comfortable and had everything we needed!

  • Our family of five had a wonderful stay at Lorraine’s place. It was great to be able to take out two small dogs with us. The location was really perfect, a few minutes to the sea and around 10 minutes to the town. Our teenagers enjoyed the water park which is only a short stroll from the holiday village. Lorraine’s place was very comfortable and clean and would definitely book there again.

The Hide is located on a quiet lane in rural North Sligo. It is a tiny cosy wood cabin with patio & private outdoor space. It has a separate entrance, completely detached from our house. We are 20 minutes drive north of Sligo town, 10 minutes to the nearest beach, 15 minutes from the mountains, 5 minutes from Lissadell House with lots of quiet lanes to walk or cycle. We know travel has an environmental impact, we commit to plant a native Irish tree for every night The Hide is occupied.
The Hide is a timber structure with lots of light. It has a large open plan living, sleeping area with a small kitchenette. The building is naturally very warm year round. It has a gas boiler, heating radiators and hot water. After a day exploring The Hide is a very comfortable place to relax and unwind. The living space opens out onto its own patio and seating area. This connects to our overgrown kitchen garden (always a work in progress!) and orchard. The Hide has a bathroom with shower, storage room and a porch, which holds our library for those wet days or quite movements. The kitchenette has a sink, fridge, microwave, 2 plate induction hob (idea for heating food), kettle, toaster, tea/coffee making facilities and utensils. It is not a full kitchen but ideal for breakfast and light meals. The Hide has WiFi internet (but no TV). We also have lots of books, jigsaws and puzzles. Ideal if you want time out to enjoy the peace! We can store sports equipment overnight (e.g. surfboards or bicycles) and there is space to hang out wetsuits and wet outdoor gear.
The Hide is located on the Maugherow peninsula between Sligo Bay and Donegal Bay. The Atlantic is approx 1km away on three sides. Depending on the season, you can hear the sound of the sea! It is a quiet, rural area with a local shop and two pubs. There is some limited public transport to Sligo town.
  • Cozy and spacious place, quick response and warm welcome. Plenty of intimacy and quietnes if that's what you're looking for. Plenty of birds activity and very close to beautiful places to visit and walk.

Tucked away in the unspoilt Ox Mountains it is the ideal screen-free place to ‘get away from it all’, where the only call is that of nature beckoning you to explore it. This hidden gem is an ideal retreat for nature lovers, artists, or a romantic break away. Be embraced by the four seasons, bird song in spring, buzz of bees in summer, amber colours in autumn and the dark sky in winter. Reconnect with nature in our back to basics Bed in Barn.
The Bed in Barn is a characteristic converted hay barn on its own 1 acre private plot. The hay barn with its arched roof on pillars was a common outbuilding on the Irish small farm and used to be a part of a 'small holding. Staying in the Barn will give you a back-to-basics experience. The Barn is carefully converted into a new eco-friendly accommodation, retaining the old 5 m high pillars and its 'barn' character. Take a stroll through the landscaped garden, enjoy the view on the valley and the mountains from your swing bench in the covered outdoor area, light a ciggie or make a barbeque without being rained upon. When you enter the Barn you step back in time. The rustic kitchen downstairs has a pantry with crockery and cutlery; a fridge, a toaster, a kettle, pots and pans and utensils to cook up a meal on the a wood fired 'old world' range. For a quick stir fry there is an electric hob. (Please note, NO OVEN provided). In the pantry you will also find some ingredients for a (basic) breakfast, porridge, cereals, tea, coffee, sugar, cooking oil, pepper and salt. From the kitchen a slightly steep staircase leads you up to the master bedroom ensuite and livingroom/bedroom. The master bedroom has a king size bed and a queens wardrobe, a chest and a wash basin. Linen, towels, shampoo and a hairdryer are provided. Situated between the bedroom and the living room, you will find the bathroom with a shower using rainwater heated by the range downstairs. An electric shower is standby to sprinkle a hot drop on you if the water from the range has gone cold. Then there is the spacious living room/bedroom with reclining chairs and a couch that can be converted to a single bed or a double bed. If needed extra beds can be added. From this room you can enter the (ensuite) bathroom as well. You can throw a dice on one of the board games or loose yourself in a book. We harvest rainwater to flush the toilet, take a shower, do the dish wash (left tap, hot water). Fresh drinking water (right tap, cold water) comes from our own well with its filtration system The main heat source is a wood burner (range) downstairs. It heats the water and the upstairs radiators. It is also the main hob for cooking - although an electric hob is available. Upon arrival you will get instructions how to light the fire in the range. Plenty of fire wood is at your disposal. We are happy to help you out on getting a fire going. On the roof 14 Solar PV panels are installed. It generates electricity and if there is a surplus, it goes into the Power diverter and will heat the water in the tank to provide hot water for the radiators and the shower as well.
The Bed in Barn is situated between Lough Easky and Lough Talt great for fishing and water activities. Tucked away in the heart of the Ox Mountains it is the ideal place for hiking, walking, cycling and horse riding. Cycle tracks and walking trails and loop walks run in the vicinity. Banada stables are nearby where you can explore the surroundings on horseback, Island View Riding Stables (between Sligo and Bundorran) offers also beach riding. If you are a surfer Easkey and Enniscrone is a quick drive across the mountain. Wild Wet Adventures offers water activities on a.o. Lough Talt or explore lakes etc by - guided - Sligo Kayak Tours . Awesome adventure tours offers kayaking in the Sligo/Leitrim area as well. The Atlantic Ocean with its sandy and rocky beaches and the Wild Atlantic Way are just 20 km from here. Pay a visit to Enniscrone seaweed bath, or go for a drive to Easky with its castle, natural swimming pool, take the coastal road to the old thatched Beach Bar and sandy beaches and dunes at Dunmorran strand. Further afield you can visit Carrowmore Megalithic tombs & Ceide Fields, Down Patrick Head (where you can see all various layers of rocks), Museum of Country Life and much more
  • The 'Bed in Barn' is truly magical! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left a smile never left our face. Ineke and Benjamin are the perfect hosts who made us feel like family. If you're looking for an escape back to nature and tranquility this is the place to go. We can't wait to return very soon!

  • I highly recommend Bed in a Barn for the best type of R&R. We had the most enjoyable time here. We also slept like logs in the extremely comfortable bed. The barn is cosy and comfortable and really helps you appreciate the beautiful surrounding area. We left feeling relaxed and calm.

Inspired by adventure, island coastlines and salty air, Rest Easkey (or “The Yellow Door”, as the locals call it) is the perfect base for making memories on the Wild Atlantic Way. Sitting in the world-renowned laid-back surfing town of Easkey, Co. Sligo, it has friendly shops, pubs and the famous Pudding Row cafe within a few skips of the front door. Discover miles and miles of coastline, white sandy  beaches, sensational links golf courses, revitalizing seaweed baths and pints of Guinness.
The large (24ft) living/dining area boasts an L-shaped couch (that you’ll never want to get out of) in front of a rustic floor-to-ceiling fireplace and solid fuel stove. There’s a 42 inch TV with free to air channels, a Google Cast and wifi. The colour palette of the south-facing kitchen and outdoor stone courtyard nods to the Mediterranean. An 8-seater L-shaped garden couch and dining area is best enjoyed with a bottle of wine or some cold beers. There are two bedrooms, each with a double bed. We are big fans of sleep and so we've chosen high quality mattresses, cozy duvets and black out blinds. And then there's everyone's favourite room in the house ... the tropical bathroom! Street parking directly in front of the front door. We love all sound dogs :)
This is the perfect base from which to explore the North West Wild Atlantic Way. From here, discover miles and miles of coastline. From rocky cliff edges to white sandy beaches. From picture-perfect fishing piers to mammoth sand dunes. From sensational links golf courses and revitalizing seaweed baths to pints of Guinness, seafood delights and lazy West of Ireland sunsets. Take the riverside path along the winding Easkey River and chase its abundance of dancing fish and coastal birds downstream. After less than a 10 minute walk you'll reach the river estuary and the majestic ruins of O'Dowd's famous Easkey castle standing proud in front of the roaring Atlantic Ocean. Enniscrone with its famous long white sandy beach, seaweed baths and links golf course is just a 10 minute drive away (or take the public bus). Dunmoran Strand is 20 minutes away by car, as is the famous thatched Beach Bar at Aughris. Strandhill beach and golf course are 45 minutes away by car.
  • What an amazing find! Rest Easkey is a super stylish home in the heart of a quaint village, close to all amenities and a short walk from some of the best surfing breaks in Ireland. Tracey paid attention to the smallest detail, from the easy to follow itinerary with great activity recommendations, to the fresh milk and apple pie on arrival. Thanks Tracey, we’ll be back soon to continue our wild Atlantic adventure!

  • Absolutely loved our stay at Easky Rest. Ideally located to explore and surf the area. The house is super-cosy and well thought through so it is also inviting to just stay at home on a rainy day. Lovely garden with herbs and spices and great for hanging out on a warmer day. Tracey is a superb and kind host! Will come back.

    Marco2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Thumbs up all round! Tracey's house was was comfy and cosy, the heating and the stove got the place warmed up super quick. It's a lovely old house decorated in a very modern style and it works really well. There's a gorgeous little garden, and a very convenient little shop across the road. Not to mention the proximity to Pudding Row... Thanks Tracey!

My place is close to family-friendly activities, good restaurant's and nightlife with live music. Public transport is excellent. You’ll love my place because of the cosiness, the location, and the views. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). Strandhill is nestled between Knocknarea mountain which offers walking trails to the top where Queen Maeve Grave is and the Atlantic Ocean which is part of the Wild Atlantic Way.
My place as described by guests .....A Hidden Gem. Cost comfortable and right beside the Atlantic ocean. Excellent views bars and restaurants and cafes
My neighbours are friendly and very respectful. The area is quite. I am so lucky to live close to good people.
  • Catherine's place is just the right combination. It is a quiet, comfortable apartment with breakfast already in the fridge and the beach waiting down the streat. We had a great time and would definitely recommended it!

    Wiebke2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, a short walk to Strandhill’s stunning beach. The place was lovely with everything you need including breakfast items. The host was super quick to reply to anything and there were lots of leaflet in the place for things to do in the area. We’d definitely stay again when we go back to Strandhill.

  • Catherine was very quick to respond to texts and phone calls leading up to our stay. Directions were exact and the place it self was lovely and clean. Catherine went above and beyond her role as host and even let us keep luggage way longer than the check out time. I would definitely recommend this air bnb for people visiting Strand hill in Sligo - this place and host has it all!

Our 9 year old triplets loved the house, especially the cows at the back of the house, and the views to the estuary and Mount Nathan. Wonderful place and can't recommend enough. The hosts were fabulous as well. So friendly and approachable. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Our house is situated on the side of Knocknashee (The hill of the fairies) and offers gorgeous views of the surrounding county. Just 2 minutes off the N17 road, the main route of the Wild Atlantic Way, we are a popular stop off for weary travelers. The area provides peaceful, scenic views which are sure to leave a lasting impression. I share the house with my wife. Both of us are inviting and friendly but also provide a separate sitting room if you would rather your own space.
Our home is set on the side of Knocknashee, the hill of the fairies. Overlooking a valley you can see spectacular views, weather depending since it is Ireland. The hill behind our home is steeped in ancient history with recent archaeological work revealing settlements on top of the hill dating back 5,000 years. The views from the house include Court Abbey which is an old Friary dating back to the 1400's and only a few minutes walk on a lovely country road. The house Our home is a new build house which is modern, with very large spacious rooms. Two of the four rooms available are ensuite and there is another main bathroom which is counted as private as we ourselves have our own ensuite. There is an extra large living room / kitchen which is a common space with stylish, modern appliances and you are welcome to use all facilities available and help yourself to as much tea and coffee as you need to get you through the day. We also have a separate sitting room if people would like their privacy. Depending on the time of year you may be fortunate enough to get an opportunity to pet or even feed the lambs in the fields surrounding the house as my family have a farm nearby. Myself and my wife both work however we love hosting guests and want to do everything to make your stay memorable. You wont have to worry about sharing spaces with other guests as we do not book multiple bookings at once so you have peace of mind that you will have all private spaces to yourself and will only have to interact with my wife and myself.
The area is some of the most scenic in county Sligo. Neighbors are all friendly and helpful and provide an area that is safe for anyone, be it young or old, to adventure and get their hands dirty in the outdoors
  • Clive was great! Asked to stay as their place last second and he made it work. They live in the country and removed from the city. It was peaceful and removed from city life. I would recommend staying with Clive!

  • Dermot and Monica are truly the most wonderful hosts. They make everything so comfortable and easy, nothing is too big or too small. This is my second year staying at the bunk n barn and its gotten even better. As someone organising a bonding trip for a student society, the "digital detox:=" element was great because we really did have more than enough to be entertained. The views of mountains and Lough Easky are beautiful, and myself and the rest of the group couldn't recommend the bunk n barn more.

    Hannah2019-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Dermot and Monica were amazing, so helpful and friendly. The barn was great, and the site was in such a beautiful part of the country. We'll definitely stay here again.

  • Owner is friendly and kind I recommend this accommodation

    Akito2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Dermot and Monica are absolutely wonderful people and excellent hosts. Their Bunk n' Barn is clean, spacious and warm, there was more than enough room for our large group. The facilities were brilliant, we used the campfire, the group activity games and we spent plenty of time sitting beside the stream that runs through the property. The surrounding area is magnificent with plenty of hiking trails and a nearby lake that was great for swimming. I have to rate this place 11/10, it was exactly what we wanted as a large group of college students. Dermot and Monica were more than happy to let us relax and do our own thing, and happily joined us around the campfire a few times. I'd highly recommend the Bunk N' Barn for groups of college students. Thanks once again for a fantastic weekend.

  • We enjoyed our stay at Christa's place. She and her husband were very helpful and friendly and provided several tip about the area. The quiet location was very peaceful, yet only a short drive to Sligo town. The walk to the beach was very nice while sipping on our morning coffee. The room is kinda like an older beach motel suite, but it's not without its charm and the entire estate is lovely. The shower and other appliances worked great. We'd definitely stay there again and will recommend it to our friends.

  • Ardtarmon House is a fantastic, rustic way to experience Sligo. It has its own history to discover, is situated in its own forest with a path to a quiet, beautiful beach and the neighboring house is a castle! Only about 15 minutes to 3 different towns, this is a wonderful, down to earth BnB. Christa is a lovely host, very accommodating and easy to communicate with. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.

  • Fantastic, spacious and modern house and a lovely host! Great views of the sea and the eccentric campsite below the house (there is literally a stripped out airplane an, an old train and a tank among other things).

  • Loic's house is run by an Irish management company as he lives in France. The company were very good,we were met by Tina Curley with the key and she showed us round. We had a 'small problem'with operating one of the electric showers and Tina came back sorted it out for us very promptly. The house is perfect for a group of friends or even two couples with four young children as the back garden is very safe. The house was more spacious internally than the photos suggest,it also has two en-suites,a family bathroom and a ground floor toilet with washbasin-always good when Guinness has been taken! We were on a family reunion- members of the family from England and America were staying at various apartments and hotels in Enniscrone. At one point we hosted a lunch for the quite large group and cutlery and crockery were more than adequate. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well-although that may have been down to the Guinness. Although not directly on the sea front it is just a few minutes walk away from the beach with all the fantastic views of Atlantic, the village is also just a few minutes walk. All other members of our reunion were all within walking distance which was a big plus. We loved our stay at Loic's,it was great value for money and we would stay there again-(if we are welcome.) We will recommend it to friends and family.

  • Tina met us at the property and was very nice and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The house has everything we needed, 4 bedrooms, 2 of which are en-suite and is perfectly located, 2 minutes from the beach and the same to the small centre of town. Tina popped round the next day to make sure everything was OK, which was very nice of her. Altogether a lovely stay and no complaints at all, we hope to be back soon.
