Places to stay in East Garfield Park, Chicago
Welcome to our lovely home! This place is literally next to Downtown Chicago. The freeway is just one block away so it’s easy to get in&out of the City. Free parking on the street(24/7). It has a train station only 0.5miles(10-12minutes walk) this train goes to Downtown & Airport. best thing! it has a bus stop right by the door of the building. This bus goes to the heart of downtown. Two bathrooms, wiFi, coffee maker, iron, shampoo, towels, everything you might need.
You can use both full bathrooms, kitchen, the living room and everything that we have at this place. In the room you will have a comfy queen size bed, night stand, lamp, iron, iron table, clean towels, clean sheets, comforter. The room has a lock from the outside. We provide WiFi, coffee, shampoo, body soap, hair dryer, hair brush, toilet paper, etc.
Very close to downtown and very easy to reach. By train ( blue line station 24/7 only 8 stops - 14minutes on train - to Millenium park ). 25 to Millenium park by bus 7 harrison. 11 minutes by UBER, lyft, vía rate from $5-$11 to go to Millenium park. Only 5minutes away from West Loop one of the nicest areas with a lot of restaurants, bars, clubs, etc. 5minutes to Rush hospital. Good for people coming for interviews. Here in Chicago there is a lot of people who are homeless but you won’t have any issues with them. you might see some people who are homeless around the place because there is a shelter close by but they’re not selling drugs or committing felonies. Neither me nor my guests have had or have witnessed anything dangerous or weird at all.
  • Excellent place, highly recommended, good location to get around Chicago by public transport

    Narciso2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Place is very great, bus stop right outside the location, 8 mins walk to blue line, perfect if you wanna explore the Chicago. I would definitely stay again if I can.

  • Luiz is very friendly, but he can't speak much English, but using a translator is no problem. This is a nice, big apartment in a pretty convenient location near downtown. there are 2 bathrooms, each with a bathtub! Luiz provides free coffee, which is great. the room can be locked, so you have privacy, and the room is nice and clean, with everything you'll need.

Comfortable lower level bedroom with a pillow top king bed, granite topped desk, and smart tv makes this room a super cozy retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. Full size kitchen, multiple living/outdoor areas, and laundry machines are available for use as well with this room. Easy unmetered street parking is readily available for those coming by car. My other rooms are listed here: https://www.airbnb.com/users/22608682/listings
The space is in an old victorian era (c.1895) limestone/brick mansion located on Chicago's west side in the East Garfield Park neighborhood. It overlooks Washington Blvd. and is about a block from the Kedzie Green Line Train. Please note if you book, this is an old house, with over 125 years of living. This means lumps, bumps, scratches, and things in general that are less then perfect. Most people enjoy this character of a house, and it's why they book. I allow LUGGAGE DROP OFF! You can store your luggage in the closet before check-in and after check-out times, you can drop it off and pick it up as early and as late as you would like. Public transit options (train, bus, bike share) available about a block away.
The area itself is undergoing redevelopment. This doesn't mean boutique coffee instead of national chain coffee, it means Chicago and it’s outlying neighborhoods are mixed bags, on my block you’ll have $500,000 homes next to a boarded up one. If you are looking for a great place close to everything but with tons of room typically unknown for a city house, this is it. The house is very close to the Garfield Park Conservatory for reference. You'll need to order delivery or take a train for restaurants, but it's all less then 20 minutes away.
  • Price is worth it

    Alexander2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time! Since we drive the free parking was especially nice and it’s only two blocks from an L stop that gets you right downtown so transportation was really easy! It’s a gorgeous home

  • Great place for a great price. Super cool retro home with modern amenities. Awesome common area. No worries about parking there is plenty. Don’t be leery of the location I can assure you it’s as safe as anywhere else. Easy access to downtown.

    Christopher2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely love the place. Thinking about coming back soon. I loved the thoughtful touches. Everything was accommodating. The bed was very comfortable. House was sparkling clean. All the amenities you could ask for. I mean it was very nice.

    Stewart2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • This place, for lack of a more a clever phrase, makes me feel right at home. It has a bed-and-breakfast feel while offering very competitive pricing. Very safe inside and out. One house rule I love especially is the taking off of shoes, teaching you right away that there's respect practiced for the house and for the other guests. 6/5 stars. -Ervin

  • Thank you for a great first Airbnb experience. The bedroom was clean and comfortable and had a fan/heater in the closet that we were glad to be able to use. Everything about our stay was great except the location was nearby a homeless shelter with tons of people standing outside and walking around approaching people. Besides that everything was great!

    Alexis2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • You will get instructions on checking yourself in. House and room were clean and as expected. Room contains bed, small table and walk-in closet. There are a lot of homeless people outside in the evening.

This cozy one bedroom apartment has a full kitchen, decorative fire place and spa bath. Right out your back door is a fully functioning organic farm with goats, chickens, bees and pigs. Have a fresh omelet before you take the 10 min train ride downtown!
A farm on the West Side of Chicago? Yep, that's unique!
East Garfield Park is definitely the inner city! It's also erupting with art. A nationally recognized art corridor both highbrow and underground. Think SoHo in the 70's. We like to run our rebel flag high here. Stop at a beer tasting, check out a painting at a loft gallery, see some mud wrestling, milk a goat and buy some fresh Chevre, grab some BBQ all in one walk.
  • Great place to stay, everything as seen and described on the page!

    Juliana2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Nicky was so nice and very welcoming! The place was so cute and perfect for a weekend getaway. I would definitely recommend this place for couples!!

  • Great place to stay while my girlfriend and I were in Chicago for the weekend!

    Sean2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great host! We booked the day of and Nicky had everything set up and ready to go by 3 PM. We felt so welcomed. The house was so nice and neat. The house was very comfy. Definitely a bang for your buck.

    Dennis2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Cute place. Newly added decorations and furniture make the space even better in person. Great private/fenced in backyard is perfect if you have a dog. Probably hard to find that anywhere else in the city. The shower is amazing and the bedroom was cozy. The metra does run very close to the backyard but you can’t hear it inside the apartment. The back door that leads to the laundry area seems like it doesn’t lock but it does. Also not pictured is a nice little front patio area with chairs and a table. Overall it’s a very cute space and the CTA is super close. It’s a bit further away from downtown and not in a fancy or busy part of Chicago, but if you want more space to yourself and like having a huge outdoor area with animals and a fire pit, I would say go for it!

    Emily2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy place to stay! Clean and welcoming! We brought our two dogs, so the fenced in common area in the back was extremely convenient! And the goats and chickens were a nice touch, and very cool to see! We met Nicky, she is very friendly! Highly recommend!!!

    Chris2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • I booked Nicky's place for one night thinking it was a good option for a short stay in Chicago. After booking I was looking at some of the mixed reviews and was unsure of how it would go, but we still went in with open minds. It was an absolutely lovely stay! It was beautifully clean and decorated nicely. My boyfriend and I kept saying that if we lived in Chicago this would have been the perfect place for us :) Our favorite parts were the shower and the farm out back. I love how nice and renovated the bathroom seemed. It was one of the best showers I've taken in awhile. The farm was also awesome (it was part of what initially drew me to this place). My boyfriend loves goats and he was very excited to get to hang out with them and the chickens. Please do not listen to the reviews saying it is unclean or unsafe. Everything was sparkling clean from the bedroom to the living room. We made pancakes in the morning and the dishes were very helpful and nice and clean. In terms of it seeming unsafe, I didn't feel unsafe at all. What you need to understand is that if you are going anywhere in Chicago you are at higher risk of crime or theft. If you dont want that then dont stay in chicago, or any major city really. Overall, this was a very nice place to stay and I would absolutely stay there again if given the opportunity!

    Melia2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • What a comfortable spot to spend some time in Chicago! The apartment was great and location excellent. A short walk to the train and several buses made it accessible to many locations throughout the city.

  • Beautiful space and amazing value! If you want to stay in Chicago but want opportunity to get away from the city for a little, this is a great choice. The neighborhood on the surface seems a touch sketchy but we never felt compromised or unsafe. It’s within a quarter mile of the CTA line allowing for easy car-free city access as well. Highly recommend!

This huge, light soaked, 2 bedroom has room for everyone! Located close enough to the city to be convenient but quiet. The train is a five minute walk and takes you downtown in 12 minutes. Enjoy the half acre secret, private garden & the earthy art scene that's thriving in this unique community. It's pure grit & glory! Only a short walk to the amazing Garfield Park Conservatory. Uber to The United Center for a concert or game for under $10!
This is such an unusual location. 312 Whipple is an artist community that has been thriving and feeding the Chicago Art Scene for 25 years. It's a gem tucked secretly in a secure gated block with access to an unprecedented amount of outdoor space. The gardens alone are enchanting. Visit some authentic live/work studios or catch an exhibit if you can!
We want to under promise and over deliver. So we want to be clear that this property is on Chicago's West side in an amazing multicultural and ethnically diverse neighborhood. It is, for sure in the inner city. It's full of grime and glory. You can't walk to a coffee shop but you can make eye contact and chit chat with a total stranger. Not many places in a big city where that happens anymore. If you're not used to big cities, do a street view to make sure it's in your comfort zone. Or, step outside of your comfort zone and have a fantastic new experience. Isn't that one of the best parts of travel!?
  • The location is ideal in a quiet neighborhood with lot of parking space. The appartement is one of the kind, the balcony was a nice surprise providing two access. The decoration is epurated with everything at the right place. The view is beautiful from the wide windows. There are 2 living room allowing multiple people to have their space. It's a nice place to stay for the least to say.

  • Nicky’s place was great! Anytime I visit the city I’d definitely stay. Nicky had great communication even at late nights. I’d recommend anyone who is looking to visit and explore downtown to check out Nicky’s spot!!

  • We just had a wonderful stay! Our daughter couldn’t come home for thanksgiving so we brought it to her! We were able to bring our dog which made our daughter so happy and the space was perfect! So much room for them to play games and visit in the kitchen while we cooked. Our dog finally learned how to navigate the stairs and there were plenty of spots to walk her. I felt safe going alone (suburb girl-not city girl) and the apartment was perfect! Thank you Nicky!

    Megan2019-12-01T00:00:00Z

  • My mom and I decided to do a day trip to Chicago last minute, and Nicky responded so quickly. We were given check-in instructions promptly and the place was perfect for our one day stay. The apartment is clean and close to public transportation to get into the city.

Quiet, clean 3-bedroom apartment in the heart of Chicago with FREE PARKING. Very safe neighborhood. You will have your own personalized door code and may go in and out using a secure smart lock. Flexible check-in and check-out times. Nobody else will access your apartment during your stay there- unless you need something, and I have your permission.
Restaurants and bars are right round the corner, both upscale and casual. This room is 10 minutes away by car or uber to Chicago's famous Willis (Sears) tower. Uber costs about $7. If you are arriving by car, I am providing a free parking spot. The apartment will be ONLY yours for the time you'll stay in my Windy City. You will have a key to lock the bedroom door, if you wish.
100% of guests love my location- it is the best of both worlds: 10 minutes by car from the very center of downtown, yet quiet enough to not hear the noise at night. If you are still not convinced, please read my reviews.

  • I have been traveling for years and this was the most at home I have felt! It was not only a cute place but had everything I could have needed. Perfect location, close to downtown but not too close. Options for street parking but also a designated parking spot. Close to whatever you may need. Communication was so quick and helpful always. The little thoughtful touches were greatly appreciated as well. :)

We are minutes to CTA greenline and Garfield Park Conservatory. 15 minutes to downtown or the lake. The rest of the city is within biking distance or a quick cab ride. This is a studio apartment on an urban farm in a transitioning inner city neighborhood. We have fresh eggs and produce available seasonally. Our studio is ideal for couples, solo adventurers and small groups of friends. There is one queen size bed and one futon, no privacy in between.
  • BOOK THIS NOW! My boyfriend and I were looking for an affordable space with walking distance to the L and Beatrice and Stefan’s place is just that! The space is very cozy and they even have a washer and dryer! Just a 5 minute walk to the Green Line, but that isn’t the best part: THE BABY GOATS right in the backyard! Can’t forget about their pony and chickens! Beatrice and Stefan are very genuine and nice hosts; fast communication and are there if you need anything.

    Erika2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great place near transit!

    Rusty2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a unique place to stay, especially for a big city like Chicago. My favorite highlights were the animals in the back yard, the easy access to public transit, a cozy space, and the affordability. This place isn’t fancy, but it’s fun and was just right for the two of us.

    Kate2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • It was lovely to have the animals in the back yard. The apartment was tidy and I enjoyed the decor.

    Colin2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place! Super close to transit, really friendly hosts. The place has a lot of really lovely touches. Would definitely stay there again next time I'm in chicago!

    Justice2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Well, as we were pouring over where to stay in Chicago, there were cheaper options but as soon as we saw that Beatrice & Stefan were on an urban farm in the middle of Chicago, we were sold. This included chickens, goats, a miniature horse, cats and dogs and a garden. For us, the major draw were the goats!! Our hosts were prompt communicators and they left us some eggs and produce for making a meal. We pet goats every day! Their place is near the train and Garfield Park. If you like farm animals and want a little city get away, stay here, we highly recommend!!

    Heather2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great but my business in Chicago kept me elsewhere most of the time so I did not get to explore interesting things right around there. It seems like an area where a great effort is being made to improve. I will make sure to check out the park during my next visit.

  • A gem of a place indeed. Beatrice & Stefan were great hosts! The added touch of being welcomed by their beautiful four legged friends was wonderful. We had no need for the nearby public trans and definitely had no problem finding parking during our short visit. A comfy and cozy you'll surely love.

Join us at our East Garfield Park hideaway! Walking distance to 2 Green Line train stops (Kedzie and California) makes getting downtown a breeze. FREE STREET PARKING! A quick 5-min drive to the United Center to see the Blackhawks, Bulls, concerts, events, you name it. You get the entire 1 bdrm garden apartment all to yourself on this quiet residential block. Check out the location tab at the top of listing for neighborhood info.
Our private 600 sq ft, 1 bedroom garden apartment is all yours. Our decor could certainly be described as funky vintage. We love color, vintage needepoint and floral prints, artwork by Chicago artists and a stuffed mule deer named Tony. Sleep with a pal on the queen size bed in the bedroom or crash on the foldout full size sofa bed. There's a camping cot with extra sleeping pad stored in the bedroom closet if you feel like sleeping solo. Kitchen includes coffee maker, toaster, full size oven and stove, full size fridge, plenty of dishes and pans and the essentials: salt, pepper, coffee, tea, honey, hot sauce, bottled water. Just out the back door to your place is our building laundry room, where you can wash and dry on premise. The bathroom has all the basic bathroom amenities you'll need, and the best blue toilet you'll ever flush. Guaranteed. You'll have your own entrance to the apartment with a key code so you can come and go as you please during your stay. This unit is in a building with an apartment directly above and built in 1915 so noise may travel between you and your neighbors. Please be courteous and we ask the upstairs neighbors to do the same.
This is a classic Garfield Park 4 flat on a quintessential Chicago West Side block. The area can be considered rough around the edges to some but we love it. We have lived in the building and on the block for 14 years without incident. Taking a ride share like Uber or Lyft in the evenings is ideal if walking to or from the apartment to the train stop makes you nervous. The spectacular Garfield Park Conservatory is just a train stop away. It's a must see in this historic neighborhood. The architecture of mostly 2 and 3 flats is impressive. We walk ourselves and our dog in Garfield Park itself in the summer. It's beautiful, expansive and just west of us.
  • Fantastic place.....kitchen, comfy bed, lounge area with lots of enterainment on tv....great space and defnaltey feels like a home away from home. Highly recomend :)

  • When we arrived the space was clean and neat and welcoming. They had included many little amenities just to say welcome. The location was great near downtown and near the northside where our son stays. We explored the area quite a bit and found a bakery called Roeshers Bakery it was fantastic and we returned there a few times. We are looking forward to returning to the space as our son lives in Chicago and I’m sure we will visit quite often. Thank you to our host and hostess who were very responsive to any needs we had. Thank you!!!

Cozy and comfortable single-room studio apartment that is very close to transportation and includes everything you need for a great stay. There is a huge patio and yard and even a friendly dog and kid to play with if you like.
Very nicely appointed, Designer built, Funky but homey. It is a small, but very cozy single-room studio apartment. The couch converts to a Double Bed and the Love seat opens to a Twin Bed and there is a Twin-size cot in the closet. There are lots of quality details including stainless appliances, customized oak cabinetry and plenty of built-in storage and work areas. The large, bright bathroom has a nice sized shower and even more built in storage. There is a window A/C unit with remote. Huge yard (8,000 square feet of it), with an outdoor fireplace, patio, plenty of chairs, a BBQ grill and even a swing set and sandbox if you are feeling childish. Just walk through the basement shop to the back door and out. The key is on a hook. My 9 year old daughter and 4 year old Pit/Boxer are very friendly and will almost certainly want to meet you. We live upstairs and can help you with info, directions, recommendations, a cup of milk and even finger painting supplies. East Garfield Park is definitely the inner city! It's also erupting with art. It is a nationally recognized art corridor both highbrow and underground. It can also be as quiet as the country. In fact, my neighbors have a fully functioning urban farm with goats, chickens, bees and cows. We are all very friendly and accommodating. It will be like staying in a small town in the middle of the city. Awesome neighbors and new friends included. CTA Green Line (1 1/2 city blocks away), will have you downtown, to the lake or to Michigan Ave in 11 minutes. Moments to the United Center for a concert, Hawks or Bulls game. 3 stops to the West Loop's award winning restaurants. Easy access to highways. Street parking is a breeze. The Metra stop is only 500 feet around the corner. The Kedzie bus at the corner gets you to the Ohare line or Logan Square Bars and restaurants in 10 minutes. There is only one double bed that can sleep two people who are friendly and a loveseat sleeper that pulls out to a twin bed for one. Additional guests could be accommodated with a fold-out cot that is stored in the closet. You can sleep two on the double/couch and one on the twin/love seat or add the cot to the mix if you want. It is a pretty small space and you won't have a ton of floor space left, but it gives you an option. It will be cozy, but it has been done. It's like a slumber party. Also...If you have an infant I can set up a portable crib for you. Additional bedding provided if needed.
This is a mostly residential area, so there is not much else within walking distance, but there is a lot of things just a short bus or train ride away. There is a nice coffee shop right across the street in the new community center lobby (M-F 7am-2pm Sat 9am-1pm). They have coffee, espresso drinks, pastries and breakfast sandwiches. The community center also has a fitness center and a medical clinic. The Garfield Park Conservatory is just 4 blocks west down the street and well worth a visit. There is a little corner store (3 star) just South and a bigger grocery store (Aldi) 5 blocks north.
  • Awesome little apartment and host, very helpful. Good location close to the trains to downtown. Had a awesome stay here.

    Richie2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Robert's place was very cozy and very comfortable. My stay definitely as expected, clean, a lot more space than I thought. I really appreciate the fresh coffee and all the helpful tips and reading materials left that'd help with commuting around the city and even around the world. I also appreciate the fast communication with Robert. Very helpful! If this place becomes available next time I'm in Chicago I will definitely book it again! Thanks!

    Kena2019-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • Indeed a cozy and comfortable place to stay, clean, walking distance to the train station, overall an awesome experience! Would definitely stay here again.

    Selena2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • Robert was very welcoming and accommodating! He was very good and kind. We enjoyed staying in the basement. The kitchen is very well equipped and the apartment was very clean and well decorated. We were 5min walk to a tram station (best transportation to Chicago!) And about 25min to downtown transportation. The neighborhood is not the best in Chicago but not the worst either. Just be careful and not be alone at the end of the day. That said we had a great stay at Robert! I recommend!

    Lydia2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • We spent two days in Robert’s place . The apartment is well located only four stations from downtown. The apartment is a cozy place and well equípeme. I recommend this place for enjoying a visit in Chicago.

Welcome to my home. I offer a clean place to rest your head, and bathe, in an alternative to a sterile expensive hotel. There are three guest rooms total. You get a Private Room in a renovated Victorian 2 flat. Trees and gardens surround this urban diverse neighborhood. Free parking, CTA bus at the front door. Real bed, shared full bath, individual air con unit, or heat unit as well as central heat. West of downtown by 10 minutes drive, 3 miles, or 20 min by public transit. By United Center.
The building stands alone with community gardens all around. Light comes in from all directions here on the second floor. I have the whole floor! Warm homey Victorian 2 flat, dark wood floors and clean new fixtures. Free parking. I have two other guest rooms. Fair warning: this room has the furnace for the house behind a closet door, so you hear the furnace come on, but it's not bad. I mentioned "smoking allowed" but only outdoors please, the apartment is smoke free.
When choosing and rating my location, please understand this about my neighborhood: it is not an upscale neighborhood, but my street is very nice with a few run down looking places in the mix. I see myself as part of the solution. I love it here because it is not crowded, and it is so close to downtown. I walk around at night, but I am sensible about it. The train station is crummy looking, let's admit it. Don't judge me or my street by that! most train stations are a little run down. My area is adjacent to so much. Garfield Park Conservatory is near, United Center, Humboldt Park, Ukrainian Village are about a mile or so away. There are great spots to eat all along Chicago Avenue, California and Division both have lots of neighborhood eateries and bars, funky boutiques. Logan Square is a short ride away, with all it's hot spots. And of course access to downtown with all it's high end shopping, attractions, and the Lake! is just east of me easily accessible by train. Save your parking money for shopping eating and having fun!

The green line is 0.5 miles from Kate's place, and that line takes you to downtown, no transfers. Would totally rebook the next time I'm in Chicago.

This huge, 2 bedroom private apartment is perfect for any traveler. The CTA Green line is a short walk away. The train takes you downtown in 10 minutes. There is a large stocked kitchen and space to relax. You'll be comfortable weather you're here for a night or a month! There is free, easy street parking and a keyless code system for simple check in.
Lots of bright open space. Room to spread out. A full kitchen to prepare meals. Easy proximity to public transportation!
We are also pet friendly but do require a pet fee of $15/per night. Please let us know if you'll be traveling with your pet so we can make the proper adjustments to your booking.

Whipple is a unique wonder. It's an artist compound in the middle of the urban west. There is a 15,000 square foot private garden. Wander through the wisteria, meditate or cook out. Picture SoHo in the 70's. Walk 2 train and be downtown in 10 minutes
This is such an unusual location. 312 Whipple is an artist community that has been thriving and feeding the Chicago Art Scene for 25 years. It's a gem tucked secretly in a secure gated block with access to an unprecedented amount of outdoor space. The gardens alone are enchanting. Visit some authentic artist studios or catch an exhibit if you can!

Please make sure to review "Getting Around" details within the "Neighborhood" section. There is free street parking (unmetered) that is generally very available directly outside the building on Leavitt St. and for all of the 4+ blocks north on the same street, all of which is residential and not zoned/metered on both sides of the street :) We’ve always reliably found a spot within this during different times of day/evening/weekdays/weekends, but the majority of neighboring streets are also free and not zoned in the off chance that you can't find a parking space on the same block as the building :) Close to public transportation as well if you are not bringing a vehicle, please see "Getting Around" section. •Onsite indoor garage may be available – please confirm availability prior to booking if you require this (as there are more apartments than garage spaces). •Spacious newly remodeled "mother-in-law" apartment unit with modern touches throughout the apartment •Zinus plush memory foam mattresses and pillows •High Efficiency washers/dryers - free for your use (not coin-operated) •Lightning-quick wifi (250 Mbps) •Smart 32” & 40” LED televisions with built in Roku streaming for use with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, HBO, etc. •Smart keypad locks for security and convenience •Units within building are only rented for a minimum of one month, and the tenants are typically busy healthcare professionals and business travelers. The Medical District is a quaint neighborhood with a suburban feel though it is still just minutes away from downtown Chicago. Well-lit, tree lined streets with various new condo and apartment buildings that has become a hot spot for developers for this in-demand neighborhood.

Please make sure to review "Getting Around" details within the "Neighborhood" section. Nearest building intersection is Leavitt St. & Jackson Blvd. Per the City of Chicago laws & ordinances, 31 night minimum on all stays. Modern finishes, smart tech & security, in a hip, central neighborhood minutes from downtown Chicago and steps from the Illinois Medical District hospital system. •Onsite indoor garage may be available – please confirm availability prior to booking if you require this (as there are more apartments than garage parking spots). •Zinus plush memory foam mattress and pillows •High Efficiency washers/dryers - free for your use, (not coin-operated) •Lightning-quick wifi (500 Mbps plan) •Smart 32” & 40” LED televisions with built in Roku streaming for use with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, HBO, etc. •Smart keypad locks for security and convenience •Nest brand smart home touches throughout •Units within building are only rented for a minimum of one month, and the tenants are typically busy healthcare professionals and business travelers. Issues common to having Airbnb vacationers as neighbors are generally non-existent due to the longer-term nature of tenants’ stays. •Detailed instructional video tours on how to operate everything you need in the home are sent in advance of your stay and helpful written guides are displayed throughout the home.
Authentic Chicago neighborhood (unique blend of suburban/city feel) within the Illinois Medical District/United Center area. Large condo buildings mixed in with smaller triplexes. Several educational institutions steps away, as well as a newer large grocery store & shopping plaza. Minutes from the L train & multiple bus lines.
  • What a wonderful spot in a quiet neighborhood . The room was big and clean with great kitchen. This is ideal for longer stays for medical interns, IT/Finance professional/ anyone who is moving to chicago. Only 15-20min to west loop financial district & google (Fulton market). And 5min walking distance to medical district.  Wholefoods is close by.The house is well located for public transport as Bus stop is available right at the corner. ENTIRE 3 bedroom HOUSE - large & comfortable with full kitchen. FREE Parking for 2 CARS One (Green Line) train stop to United Center - Concerts, Bulls & Blackhawk games. Two stops to trendy West Loop Randolph bars, restaurants and shops. 10 minute ride downtown Chicago. Kitchen has all cooking utensils including coffee,, cream, sugar, spices, pans & dishes . Shampoo Conditioner & Laundry soap & towels are provided. Free wi-fi NO SMOKING ANYWHERE - IF YOU SMOKE WE ARE NOT A GOOD FIT.
You will be staying in the entire home! This historic 1886 Chicago Row house has 2 floors with a large back deck and small yard in a residential neighborhood. Two bedrooms have king size hotel quality mattresses with delux bedding. Very comfortable. The third bedroom has bunk beds. All rooms have dresser space and closets. Six people will be very comfortable. If there are more than 6 guests then we can provide an air mattress to put in the largest bedroom for an additional 2 people. Also 2 secured parking spaces FOR SMALL TO MEDIUM CARS (or one large vehicle) and free street parking in front of the house - no permit needed. You have access to the entire home including additional laundry room on lower level. Complimentary Wi-fi is included.
Before you book please read the reviews to ensure this location meets your travel style. I work very hard to provide a clean affordable place to stay. However this is NOT the trendy West Loop area. This is a gentrifying neighborhood. We do have a very large multinational Fresh Food Market a few blocks from the house, some fast food and a pharmacy. We do NOT have any trendy cafes or restaurants within walking distance, however we do boarder the trendy West Loop neighborhood and we are ONE BLOCK WALK TO THE GREEN LINE TRAIN with ONE TRAIN STOP to many Chicago attractions including the United Center, Union Park, and the West Loop - Randolph Street restaurants bars and shopping. 10 minutes Train ride to downtown Chicago and the Theater District/Michigan. So please please do not book and rate us 2 stars for location. If you prefer to be right in the West Loop neighborhood look east on the map. This is a large, nice, clean, affordable, alternative to pricey neighborhoods if you are ok with not walking directly to Chicago attractions and your travel style allows for a gentrifying city neighborhood. See "getting around" info.

  • What a great stay In Chicago we had. Joyce was so helpful with everything. When I asked for tips or had any questions at all she was super prompt. Her home is the perfect space. We were able to shop locally and cook some meals with ease. Everything we needed was available. The directionsfor using the public transportation was spot on. The home is nestled in a quiet neighborhood, which was so enjoyable, as we sat in front of the window nightly and talked about our day. The beds were very comfortable and I am picky. I would give this property and Joyce a 10 if allowed. A must stay for sure.

This condo is very comfortable. If you're looking for a home base for a stay in Chicago it will be great for you. It's not in a walkable or touristy neighborhood, but it's very close to downtown and there is a bus right outside my door that runs right into the west loop and downtown. There is a large grocery store and a large drugstore across the street, so your necessities can be taken care of easily. UberX cost to go to other areas is about $10 each way. UberPOOL,- $2.50-$5.
This is a 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom apartment. All rooms are subject to Airbnb. 2 bedrooms are standard Chicago size with closets, and they share a bathroom that is located near the kitchen. The middle room is a master bedroom, and it has it's own bathroom inside. All guests are welcome to use the kitchen and living room mindfully. Be mindful of your own cleaningness in the common areas as this is something I am unable to control on an hourly basis or daily basis. You will have to do your own dishes as the condo does not have a dishwasher.
The Near West Side , one of the 77 community areas of Chicago, is on the West Side, west of the Chicago River and adjacent to the Loop and West Loop. The history of the Near West Side of Chicago includes the founding of Hull House, a prominent settlement house. The Great Chicago Fire started in the Near West Side. The area is home to the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), the United Center and the Illinois Medical (URL HIDDEN) not a very walkable neighborhood, but bigger streets such as Madison and Western are more interesting to walk through.
  • Aiste’s place was the perfect spot for my stay. The apartment itself was amazing: Clean, spacious, and featured all the amenities that you’d want. Location wise it was located right by the highway for easy travel to the Loop. Supermarket and a couple fast food locations are within walking distance. The area in my opinion was very safe during the daytime (the night time in any city is less than that and requires being aware of your surroundings). All-in-all if I were to make a trip back to Chicago again, I’d definitely try to book with Aiste once again. She’s a great host and will communicate and act promptly if there are any issues that pop up! 10/10

    Sohil2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a great spot for getting into the city! It's right next to some bus stops and the blue line, and there's a grocery market and some fast food places a couple minutes' walk away. The only thing I would say is to check the neighborhood and make sure you'll be comfortable with the area. I was, for the most part, but your mileage might vary.

    Anthony2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Super stay at Aiste’s apartment fully furnished with very nice equipments. Everything was clean and conform to the pictures. Also the host is very responsive!

    Mathilde2019-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Easy to take buses (25 mins to downtown), blue line subway (1 hour to O'hare airport), and train station (35 mins to Union station). Walk for one or two minute and then there are supermarkets, best for the airbnber.

    Sherry2018-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Aiste.

    Nawaf2018-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place. Includes many amenities throughout house. Nice private room and clean space. I had a very nice stay.

    Callista2018-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Aiste was a wonderful host. She was responsive and always went out of her way to make sure that I got what I needed. From the location of the place, you can easily take different bus routes to Wicker Park and/or downtown Chicago. Thanks for your great hospitality, Aiste!

    Brian2018-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Aiste was a great host and very accommodating -- she even offered me a free night's stay when my flight home was abruptly cancelled! Overall, the space was very comfortable and a pleasant place to stay for my conference. Definitely a great value! My only real "issue" was the neighborhood itself, which is obviously not her fault. . . But in full disclosure you should know the area is not very walkable, and perhaps not exactly 100% safe — on 2 separate occasions, I had Lyft drivers express concern for my safety when dropping me off at night. On top of that, I noticed at least one person carrying a gun at a local gas station, which was definitely a bit unsettling. Generally, when I told people in Chicago the neighborhood I was staying in, they often looked a bit concerned for me. If these sorts of things don't bother you, Aiste is a great host and definitely recommended — but in retrospect I wish I'd been a bit more informed about the area before I booked.

Spacious room in a recently renovated 19th century house that has still preserved a lot of character. The room has all amenities to satisfy a busy, relax or adventure travelers. A sleeper sofa could be easily transformed into full size bed to accommodate up to two extra guests.
Guests are welcome to use washer, dryer and all of the kitchen equipment/utensils and have a full access to outdoor space and BBQ grill.
  • Had a great time, definitely enjoyed our stay. Mykola was great about communication which was very helpful.

  • Mykola's place is great! It's very clean and cozy. The overall setup of the room is great for relaxing and getting some rest and there's also a little desk - perfect for getting some work done. The place is conveniently located near the Green Line; you can also find bike stations and Bus Stops close by. I highly recommend checking out the Garfield Park Conservatory since it's right next door. Mykola was very welcoming, friendly, and answered all questions.

There is no noise which makes this a perfect getaway for peace. Definitely renting again and again and again!!!!!!!!! 10 thumbs up!!!!

    Aremia2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Mykola's place was just what you see in the photos; the room was clean and comfortable, and even though I didn't use them the kitchen and laundry room we're updated and nice! My sister and I were in town for a concert at the United Center and it was in a great location, about 8 minutes away from the venue, and about 15 to 20 minutes away to the Mag Mile. There was free parking out front, and even though I was there for a night, the neighborhood seemed nice and quiet. I would definitely recommend this place! And Mykola was quick and responsive, and even accommodate us on such a short notice!

Located on the cozy third floor of a victorian mansion, the green room will be your retreat from the city after a long day spent out on the town. The room features a king size bed, in-room smart TV, a spacious work desk, and a chair to relax in. Easy unmetered street parking is in front of the house. Full size kitchen, multiple living/outdoor areas, and laundry machines are available for use as well.
  • We booked Ryan's place for my son to stay at while he had an Artist's Residency in Chicago. Communication from Ryan was always prompt and detailed. The room was very comfortable and clean as was the bathroom. My son didn't use the kitchen facilities but said they were nice. The neighborhood was quiet and my son never felt unsafe. Ryan's place was perfect for us!

    Atageldi2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Ryan’s place is a great value stay. The accommodations and amenities were great and the house itself is beautiful with nice common areas. Not knowing the area well I didn’t really walk the neighborhood, but the house itself is very secure and I never felt uncomfortable being dropped off or picked up by my ride share. The location allows pretty easy access to other areas of the city. Would stay again.

  • What an easy and enjoyable experience! Good directions, nice & affordable, but private-as-you-prefer stay! Very comfy bed, quiet & good wifi, plus a few other great amenities. Parking was a cinch out front!

  • My second stay and a great value! Easy FREE parking and easy train access to get anywhere in the metro!

    Victoria2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Friendly!

    Pierre2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Ryan's communication was prompt & direct each time I contacted him, and he reached out to me several times during my stay. It's clear why he & his staff are superhosts--great! The description is accurate and thorough. Note that there are several rooms on top floor and on basement-level, several guests, bustling at times, and this impacts 'shared' things like bathrooms, kitchen, refrigerators, etc. As noted, this is an historic home--interesting in itself--and common areas and bathrooms have been updated & were neat & clean. Temp in home was always perfectly comfortable--during winter stay, freezing outside, the house never felt drafty, my bedroom was cozy all night. Garfield Park neighborhood is a very interesting place to visit and learn about. Brisk 3-minute walk to Kedzie Green Line station made commute to downtown/loop and transfers on 'L' train really easy, but then escape the city for evenings. Perfect location for my work trip with excursions on the side. A bargain for the listed price! I'd stay here again for future trips.

    - You will have access to 2-3 private parking spaces in the rear of the unit. Typically there is always available street parking as well. - 5 minutes from Pete’s Fresh Produce grocery store - 15 min train ride or 20 min drive/Uber into downtown -“blue line” and “green line” trains that go directly into downtown are each a 10 min walk away from the property - Uber is always a great option for going into downtown - Approx - $20 Uber to Midway - $30 to O’Hare - We are in one of the best up and coming neighborhoods in the city! This unit in East Garfield Park is just minutes from the United Center which will host this years NBA ALLSTAR WEEEND! - The Chicago Black Hawks practice facility (Johnny’s Ice House) is 5 minutes away from unit. - The block is made up of many families and relatives and is safe and well maintained as well as neighbors that are always active in keeping aware of what’s taking place in the immediate area. - rush hour is 4-7 p.m but traffic here on the weekends going into downtown is kinda unpredictable after about 6 p.m because of the variety of evening events downtown - 25 minutes from Lincoln Park Zoo if you drive/Uber. - Midway airport is 30 minutes away give or take depending on traffic.

  • The place is in a good location, it complies with what it offers, and the host was always on hand to answer any questions and concerns that you had. Sure I'll be back!

  • Was a very nice place. Doesn't have too many attractions near it, so we had to drive everywhere we went, but the price was amazing and definitely worth a drive. The place is close to a shelter, but that's just something people should be aware of. This place was still incredibly safe and very nice. I will be staying here again in the near future!

  • It's very close to downtown for this price; just jump on I-290 and go east. And there's plenty of space to park on the side street. My room had no problem staying warm on cold January days. Thanks to Luiz and Aaron for everything!

  • Lara's Place was great! Very good location to downtown as well. Spacing is great for privacy for all guests since we were traveling in a group, but shared spaces are fun for games (provides) & relaxation as well after a long day/night in the city. Definitely would stay here again!

    Jasmine2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed the stay thank you

  • Great place to stay in the area, close to everything.

    Zach2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lara did great for our stay, the place was really nice and open inside. The style of the place was very up to date and some really good brunch spots in the area as well. I will note at night it was not any place to be walking around or trying to"explore" the city. Highly recommend Uber, Lyft etc leaving anywhere out at night. The Immediate neighbors are really nice people and we never had any problems with anyone at all.

  • Great pad, having the arcade and bar games made the stay much more fun for the entire group. I would definitely recommend Lara's place!

  • We stayed at Lara’s home for a weekend visit to Chicago. Lara was very accommodating to our needs, scheduling and any other requests we had throughout our stay. Very cool, clean residence. This place was exactly what we needed! Thanks Lara

Charming row-home apartment in beautiful Garfield Park. Steps from the Kedzie Green Line Stop which gets you to the loop in 15 minutes. Or take the bike for your commute to the city! Back porch and grill available for summer BBQs.
  • Awesome spot!

  • Dusty offered fantastic local advice, a clean place to stay all in a warm environment.

    Clint2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Dusty’s place was a great Chicago experience. I liked that it was easy to park on the street but close enough to the El to walk to the station. There is a huge couch and a dining room table, perfect for eating some deep dish pizza, as per Dusty’s suggestion. Great bathroom with tiled shower and washer/dryer. Host was super helpful and I appreciated all his information. Would definitely recommend his place and plan to stay here again when I visit.

    Mary2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay.

    Kelsey2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Dusty is a great host! This place is a bit of a drive into town, which was okay for us since my wife and I drove. The place itself is clean, stylish, spacious, and feels like home! I'm a tall guy, so the huge shower is a big plus. The huge tv is also a selling point. Kitchen is well equipped and there is a great washer/dryer. This place is amazing for an extended stay!

    Jimi2019-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Easy check in. Close enough to downtown. PLENTIFUL street parking. All around great chicago find. Much nicer than being in a hotel.

    Robert2018-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Dusty’s place was great. It was clean and modern. I loved that it was close to the L. My family of 3 fit perfectly. Dusty was awesome and agreed to let us leave our luggage there until our flight. The neighborhood is a little sketchy at night so take an Uber if you stay out late. It’s important to say my family never felt unsafe. I’d recommend Dusty’s place and stay there again.

The train station area is crummy looking, let's admit it. And of course access to downtown with all it's high end shopping, attractions, and the lakefront is just east of me easily accessible by train. Save your parking money for shopping eating and having fun.
  • Great host and place.

Our welcoming second-floor apartment offers a relaxing updated space to call home during your stay in Chicago. We designed the space to be a home away from home. The apartment's 2 bedrooms and spacious daybed, that converts to a king bed, will ensure you are well-rested and recharged so that you can fully enjoy our wonderful city. Whether you are in town for work or for pleasure our condo will make your stay a great one!
Hello! My name is David and my wife, and I invite you to stay at our cozy Chicago apartment. As our guests, we'll ensure you have a stress-free lodging experience. If you are looking for an authentic taste of Chicago I have some great restaurant recommendations, I would love to share them with you. Traveling with the little ones? I also have recommendations on great family-friendly activities around the city. If you are in town on business, the apartment is 1 block from the Green Line. Taking the train, uber, or driving, you can be to the loop with 15 minutes. If you have suggestions, please let me know! And of course, don't hesitate to reach out with any questions during your stay! Hope to see you soon, David & Rashidah
You'll have easy access to the 290 expressway and direct routes to both O'hare and Midway airports. While you're in town, check out Chicago's hottest neighborhood, be in the bustling West Loop in 10 minutes! I highly recommend checking out The Garfield Park Conservatory if you have time, it is only 5 minutes away. It is one of the nation’s largest and most stunning botanical gardens. Boasting 2 acres of gardens under glass and more than 10 acres of outside gardens.
  • Place was very clean and nice. Located on a quiet street, right across from a school. Check-in was super easy and David was very responsive via messaging. Would definitely stay here again.

    Gabriela2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • David was an amazing host. The apartment was sparkling clean and very stylish. It was. Good distance from the city. Not too close to be in all the congested areas but not too far that you’d need to do a long commute. It was also very close to public transit. Overall had an amazing experience and would recommend to anyone.

    Jessica2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great apartment and service from the host. A highly recommended option for those of you who are traveling in family and want a cozy space to chill while visiting Chicago. Couldn’t be more happy with the attention, the facilities and the service.

  • Appreciate the immediate response from David to keep us comfortable with our stay. Would definitely recommend.

    Raymund2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our 4 days stay in David's apartment. It was clean, comfortable and stylish. The neighborhood doesn't seem safe, but we never had any issues. The location is great, we used the CTA green line to get downtown and was really easy. David is a really good host. Highly recommended!!

    Franklin2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • David was very quick to get back to us when we had questions. His place was nicely decorated and had available kitchenware for those with longer stays. We were very close to the downtown area, and will be staying back at this place in the future.

    Paloma2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Planning to be back in the future! This was a great place to stay for our trip to see the aquarium & various museums. Check in was very quick and easy. The space was spotless and very welcoming . We had plenty of space for the two of us ( easily could stay with more people!) and liked that we were in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen has plenty of workspace and pots/pans etc to make meals if you stay in. We were a quick drive from the lake and the sights. All questions we had were answered very quickly before & after booking. Would highly recommend!
