“This calm oasis on the main strip of Esperanza serves possibly the best food on the island. The prices are higher than most, but well worth it. Great local seafood, fantastic cocktails and inventive, flavorful cooking make this a standout. Vegetarian dishes are standouts as well.”

“El Blok is a newer modern boutique hotel in Vieques located in Esperanza. They have an upscale dinner menu and are a great option for a more upscale dinner - but our favorite reasons to visit are 1) the Sunday evening sunset happy hour on the rooftop bar with the best sunset views in Vieques, and 2) the downstairs bar - which has the best craft cocktails on the island.”

“Lazy Jack's is a bar adjacent to a guest hostel in Esperanza by the ocean. It's a super casual outdoor bar with no-frills bar food and strong drinks. It's frequented by locals (gringos) who are off work from tourist jobs. It's usually loud and friendly - and is a good place to get hammered after a day at the beach.”
