Seafood Restaurant

“Don't let the tacky old interior dissuade you. Really, there decor is Sea Faring 1970 Truck Stop. The seafood is awesome and they know they don't need to update their decor -- people all the way from Houston and Galveston just for the fresh seafood. Get there before 6:45 - or there will be a wait. ”

Night Club
“The worst service ever. I have left twice from waiting so long just to get someone's attention -- and there was only one other customer there! I can't tell you how the food tastes, I just did not have 1/2 of a day of precious beach time to spare. ”

Bar
“Breakfast is the only meal worth having here. Good pecan waffles. Only powdered creamer for very small Styrofoam cup of coffee, which I thought odd for a breakfast place. Most menu items are over priced and not worth it. Burgers aren't much different than a fast food restaurant. Do check out the restroom if you go there:)”

Park
“People sometimes pass through here and don't recognize the historic value of the area. Stephen F. Austin landed his "Old 300" here, Santa Anna signed his surrender here, the Texas Navy had a famous battle with Mexican ships in the mouth of the river here.”

Bar
“The food is delicious. The staff are friendly and efficient. There is a full bar and live music. They have an outdoor area where you can enjoy watching the boats come in and the fisherman with their catch.”

Clothing Store
“Breakfast is a good option here. You can buy all sorts of beach items here. Bingo makes his own surfboards and is a very interesting character. He has some beautiful hand painted boards and lot's of stories to boot. He is a throw back 1960 Surfer Dude. If Bingo can not get you up on one of his boards, no one can. ”

Nature Preserve
“This is a VERY small but lovely wild bird sanctuary located next to Quintana Beach. It's free to visit and definitely worth a stop by if you happen to be in the area during birding season. I would combine this visit with a day at Quintana beach or visits to local attractions within reasonable driving distance such as: Gulf Coast Bird Observatory Sea Center Texas Brazoria Wildlife Refuge”
