This spacious A-frame cottage was built in 1969 by the Chief of police and Captain of the fire department. Being that this home is all original from 50 years ago should give you the perspective and appreciation of how well kept up, and taken care of it is. I am in the middle of working on a couple updates to the home using beetle kill Pine. It is a museum in some aspects. Very cozy and comfortably large area to relax in. Unique in it’s own way.
The space is a large living are, with two large rooms, one with a king, and one with a queen bed. walk in Shower, laundry, and huge kitchen with everything you need to make a great meal.
Pleanty of hiking trails, local fishing lakes for water activities, and parks within walking distance. Enjoy the silence, and experience the wild life. 10 minutes from I 25, learn the history of this historical place. Rent some Cruiser Bikes, take a stroll. roll your pant legs up and stick your feet in the cool mountain water opening your senses, and rejuvenating your mind. Greenhorn mountain state park is just a few miles up the road, with swings in the pines, and picnic area near the creek.
  • Great space for a family get away, highly recommended

**COVID19 - Scary Indeed! We have adjusted our cancellation policy to allow you a full refund 1 day prior to your reservation. We also are disinfecting all hard surfaces and putting in sanitizing wipes and gloves for you to use.** Cozy Comfy Cottage is less then 1 mile from I-25 and is at the gateway to all that Southern Colorado offers.
Relax - watch the smart TV in the electric recliner, take a bath in the deep antique tub, and sleep with down pillows and down comforter. The kitchen is well stocked and there is a washer and dryer too. The cottage is about a block from the train track. However, the cottage is made of solid brick which insulates the sound. If you are a very light sleeper the cottage may not be right for you.

    Harry2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Cute and spacious for the price! Right downtown and close to what you need. Bed was super comfy and the heat in the house was perfect on a really cold night. Would definitely stay again!

    Bri2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • This little bungalow is so cute and cozy! Nice sized living area, open kitchen, nice sized bedroom and a washer/dryer was provided so we got all our laundry done! The kitchen is has enough dishes for 2 and a coffee pot, coffee, filters and creamer was provided. No real sugar though, just the pink stuff. The # 1 reason that I'd stay here again is the amazingly comfortable bed and bedding. We stayed an extra day for no other reason than to sleep in the bed one more night! Haha. There is mention of the place being near the train track but we did not hear a single train while in the house so I wouldn't be concerned at all. We DO sleep with the fan on though. Also, check out the Crafty Carnation Brewery, Sarti's Bar, Rollin' Smoke BBQ, and Tina's for breakfast. Dawn let us know that there was a dart tournament in town as well. We had a little trouble with the keypad but Dawn and Tor took care of it right away!

  • Great location. Perfect little house. Clean and comfortable with everything you need for a great stay. The hosts are fantastic and very responsive. Highly recommend and hope to visit again soon.

  • Maureen’s cottage is one of the most comfortable and relaxing stays we have ever had. We were so comfortable on the oversized couch watching a decent sized tv, and cooking in a well stocked kitchen. We grilled one of the nights on the provided grill and ate on the patio with a cocktail while over looking the creek. It was fabulous with the chickens clucking away in their pen in the distance. We spent one of our nights enjoying the stars and the sound of the creek by the fire in some very comfy Adirondacks. The space was spotless, the bathroom was lovely, and the bed was super comfy. Fun art and little touches made it feel very homey. 10/10 would recommend!

From beautiful artwork and fun painted rocks decorating and hidden throughout the cottage and beautiful grounds to the spotless and well appointed cottage itself... you will not be disappointed! • Maureen is polite, responsive, warm and caring. We loved our stay and will definitely return. Hanging out by the creek, listening to Henry crow, the sound of the water and seeing Fiona running around...all very relaxing! Loved building a fire in the firepit too!

  • Paul's place is cozy with incredible views of the Sangres and the valley. His house is beautiful and unique, providing everything you could need to cook in the kitchen. The room is private, quiet, and the rooftop is an EPIC place to watch the sunset. Paul was lovely to chat with and was very hospitable to us. Highly recommend his little slice of paradise.

  • Beautiful house and location, well worth it!

    Tatiana2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Paul has a gorgeous rustic home that is very comfortable and cozy. He built it himself and it has many lovely touches. The bed was very cozy and the views from upstairs, where you will be staying, are outstanding! My husband and I so enjoyed the sunsets from there. Frankly we didn't want to leave.

  • Paul is a wonderful host and every stay is cozy, inviting and filled with beautiful wisdom.

    Kaylee2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • My partner, our dog, and I spent a weekend in Paul’s home and absolutely loved our stay. It’s clear that Paul has put a lot of love and thought into building this passive solar heating adobe home. The views from the home (and master suite) are breathtaking and the surrounding land was fun to explore. We had fun chatting with Paul and loved the chai tea he made us. The value of what you get for the price is incredible.

    Nathalie2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful views! We had such a lovely stay with Paul over the Christmas holidays.

    Erica2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • You can expect the most delicious real “chai”! Ask Paul. He is very knowledgable about Crestone and he built his adobe home himself. You will stay upstairs and the views are fantastic! You have in your room a small refrigerator “dorm room size” and electric hot water teapot with teas and real honey provided. There is a short cut trail from Paul’s place clearly marked to head out hiking. I will be back in the Spring.

Experience the mystical high desert of the “Shambala of the Rockies” at an altitude of over 7,000 feet with epic stargazing of the Milky Way galaxy, where thousands have sought pilgrimage to this remote spiritual mecca. • This cottage is a great way to escape the busy, fast pace of city life. The hosts were very good with communicating everything we needed to know, they made sure several times during our 5-day stay that we had what we needed. The dogs were precious, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the living room with the wood burning fire stove was incredibly cozy. We brought lots of board games for our family to play, as we just wanted time away from the hustle and bustle. It had just recently snowed several inches, so our two young kiddos enjoyed playing in the snow. Mark and Christie were incredible hosts. We are so glad we chose this place!

  • Susan’s loft was by far one of the best AirBNB experiences i’ve ever had! The loft itself was more than I expected. It has arguably the best views of anywhere in the area. Susan put tons of thought and love into her space. As far as hospitality goes, Susan could not have been better. She was extremely attentive to anything I needed plus more. 1000% recommend this stay for anyone looking to visit the area!

  • The Best night of sleep, the bed was sooo comfy! And the views from the bed are beautiful...we had the most amazing night of sleep, the bed was very comfortable. We loved hearing the Coyotes/ Wolves howling at night and the Jack rabbits hoping around in the morning. The views from the space are truly lovely. The accommodations have everything you’d need and is very clean and fun space.

  • Really cute space with incredible views! Close to Crestone and about an hour to the Sand dunes. We would definitely stay again!

    Lauren2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • My stay in Susan's apartment was really wonderful. I stayed in LilyRey Loft for 2 weeks for a personal meditation retreat. I didn't leave except to go for a walk, and had nothing but quiet (the water runs a lot throughout the day in relation to a drain-back solar water system, but that didn't bother me - I like the sound of water) I took long, quiet walks with spectacular views. I had a lot of privacy, and the views from every window were just amazing. The kitchen and bathroom fixtures are very nice, especially the soaker tub which I used a lot. Susan was very pleasant, offering anything I might need that I didn't have; I didn't need anything because it was perfect!

    Vera2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Susan's place was wonderful! Cozy and in a beautiful location. We enjoyed our stay in Crestone!

    Ethan2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Susan's place is exactly what you want in an Airbnb: privacy, space, cleanliness, and amenities. She had a shower, wifi, and an amazing kitchen. The loft was exactly what we needed. The views from the deck were stunning and unimaginable. I will definitely be back and would recommend anyone else as well.

    Zachary2020-01-26T00:00:00Z

You (and your pets) will find serenity on the property with little sound besides distant dogs, nearby birds and the wind brushing through the trees. This is a certified dark sky area where you will see more stars than feels possible! Mostly, we want you to have a place to rest your head before venturing back into Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve. We may not have much to offer by way of amenities, but you won’t find solace, comfort and beauty like this from the side of the highway!
You will find multiple outdoor seating areas that will allow you to view the dunes, Blanca Peak and Mt. Herard. You should expect to see deer, quail, owls, elk, turkeys, and possibly even coyotes as well. Inside you can rest with cozy blankets, natural light, heaters or fans, and your choice of books to read or games to play. You will find your own private fire pit with perfect sunset views! We have old newspaper and will have a water jug to help put out the fire, but you will need to bring your own kindling and firewood. Remember, there is no smoking (no 420 or cigarettes) or partying on the property, and voices carry far over open spaces - so please be aware of noise levels. In the same area you have a charcoal grill and outdoor table! With a comfy queen bed, pull-out sofa bed and an incredibly comfortable cot, you and your friends can find a nice home during your visit. Got kids? We have books, coloring books and games if you find yourself indoors. Don’t worry, there are games and books for adults, too! With a mini-fridge to store some groceries or beverages and an electric 2-burner stovetop, you can make meals or heat water for coffee and tea. The kitchenette is stocked with pots and pans, dishes and glasses, toaster and mini-waffle-iron, and - of course - coffee maker and French press. We have a water bowl and dog beds if you are bringing pets along (let us know so we can put them out!). Extra pillows, blankets, heater fan and lamps will keep you cozy as you rest for your impending adventures.
This is a private community only four miles from the Sand Dunes. You will be minutes from the National Park and only a short drive from multiple state park and wildlife protection areas. Alamosa is an easy 30 minute trip where you will find various restaurants, local breweries, coffee shops, the Rio Grande River and railroad, as well as any shopping you may need. Crestone is less than an hour away; Hooper hot springs and Colorado’s UFO Watchtower are only 30 minutes away! Our property backs up to BLM land which means no closeby neighbors besides deer. If you enjoy a morning stroll, the road continues about a half mile to a dead end, a walk that takes you past only nature toward the beautiful sand dunes and mountain views. If you want a memorable sunrise or sunset, you won’t have to go far!
  • Great place to stay! Very hospitable hosts and gave great local advice.

  • Prompt responses. Quaint, functional space on a beautiful property near amazing adventure spots. Has everything one might need for a glamping trip with their fur baby in the San Luis Valley.

  • Very accurately described listing. Clean, great proximity to the dunes, very responsive and informative host. Plenty of sleeping room and pet friendly, although we didn't bring a pet. The stars at night were amazing. (at the time of our visit) Be prepared to use a bucket for a toilet and a sink where your foot pumps in the water for use.

  • This place is beautiful! The pictures honestly do not do it justice. The serenity and location of the home is unreal. Waking up and going out on the deck to see the mountains and scenery everyday will never fail to amaze you. Sitting in the hot tub under the stars after a day of activities is one of the most relaxing things ever. You will not be disappointed booking this place!

  • We can’t say enough good about Pine Ridge! From the beginning and through our entire stay, communication was outstanding. Everything was new, clean and the thoughtful touches that Jim and Reena went out of their way for, truly makes them our best hosts yet! The views from Pine Ridge and the hot tub are SPECTACULAR! Pine Ridge is easy to find and nicely secluded yet close to the cutest town of WestCliffe. You will not be disappointed in this gorgeous Air BnB!

  • My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time at this rustic gem! The hosts are exceptionally sweet and were great at getting back quickly to all of my questions. The home is quaint and cozy. Despite the cool spring weather, the wood burning stove provided plenty of warmth at night for the loft and the outdoor attached kitchen was adequately stocked. If you’re looking for a place to stay that helps you disconnect from the wired world and drop into a tranquil quiet retreat, this is the spot! The tipi is an added touch of meditative space and the views of the mountain peaks from the Baca are priceless. We highly recommend!

  • If you're looking for a quiet getaway, it's hard to beat the combination of tipi and stargazing provided at Posey's place. Since I live in the city, I often forget that there are so many stars in the sky. A visit to Posey's place will help remind you about the world/universe that we live in.

    Scott2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Posey was a great communicator and very accommodating when we needed to change our reservation due to unforeseen circumstances. They got a fire going in the woodstove for us before we arrived, so the bunkhouse was nice and toasty. It's rustic, and fun to experience the off grid lifestyle. Posey has a wealth of knowledge about Crestone and will point you in the right direction - check this place out! Also, the most stars I think I've ever seen!

    Joey2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • 10/10. Do it! We went to Great Sand Dunes and Zapata Falls from here the first day. The next we did a hike in town and then went to the hot springs. It was gorgeous in mid March and unforgettable. There are showers near the great sand dunes and hot springs and great food stops in Crestone.

    Cassidy2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Second time staying at the Bluebird Ranchito and it was just as amazing as before. It was in the 50s during the day and dropped down to the low 30s at night, even without the wood burning furnace, the Ranchito stayed warm! Beautiful view walking out of the Ranchito and seeing the mountains. Crestone is a great little community nestled in the mountains. We ended up driving the hour to the Sand Dunes and spending the day there. Great hospitality and will definitely go back again!

    Josh2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Posey was so hospitable and this stay was so relaxing. The wood stove was so charming and kept us warm all night. There is plenty of firewood and kindling provided. Water coolers were also provided as well. If you want a quiet, relaxing, and peaceful stay you should book here.

  • Aimee was great! She was outside to great us when we pulled in. The suite was beautiful and so colorful, I loved the different colored walls. We planned on only 1 night but ended up staying 2! In the mornings we saw deer in the field with a beautiful mountain view, at nights a gorgeous sunset over the mountain. The bathroom is huge and I loved the workspace/makeup station. Our doggo loved the doggy bed. The room had snacks/water provided and Aimee was always around or 1 phone call away when we had queations. Overall amazing stay. Great host. Highly recommend

    Nicole2020-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place is very secluded but still a short drive into town. Expect stunning mountain sunsets, wildlife at your door, outstanding stargazing, and the soft sounds of nature. Aimee is so kind and welcoming. She even put out treats and doggy bowls for my pup. A great option for a relaxing escape to a less populated area of Colorado.

    Allyson2020-05-02T00:00:00Z

    Kaitlyn2020-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Aimee was welcoming on very short notice, and gracious in accommodating our late arrival. Our room was spacious, clean, and had an awesome view of the mountains. FYI, if coming from the west, need to watch rainy weather, as the only way to get there is over a mountain pass and it will be snowy up there! We hope to stay there longer next time!

    Connie2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • The guest suite was so cute and cozy! It even came with snacks and dog treats for my dog! It was super relaxing to look at the stars at night, and we even woke up to horses at the window! Aimee was a great host, and always made sure we had what we needed. Highly recommend!

    Belma2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing for a quiet, super clean, retreat away from town. Aimee greeted us warmly and made us feel at home. Completely private space with huge bathroom. I loved soaking in the bath after a day at the dunes. Be sure to check out Alamosa and La Veta for historical town fun. Thanks Aimee for putting out a dog bed, dog bowls, and grill stuff (we made steak & potatoes both nights on the gas grill). We can't wait to return.

Not just a Yurt! These are permanent yurts with electric outlets and insulated walls to make it cozy and warm year round. It is located in downtown crestone in a small eco-village of yurts & sacred geometry structures. We have chickens, bees, deer, bears, and garden areas. Walking distance to Cafe, brewery, market, and hiking trails. A great budget long term rental. We are not doing short term at this time.
We are looking for single people who Enjoy simple affordable living and want to have their own gardening space to create. We have water and good soil. There is a nice shared bathroom close to the yurt along with a Swedish cedar sauna.
  • This was a perfect spot for our trip to Crestone. Right in the heart of the town an easy walk to everywhere. It was fun to wake up to deer and chickens walking around. The property itself was interesting. The yurt is cute and cozy. We would stay there again.

  • Mule deer wander freely through the property, quite relaxed. So fun to see wild animals up close, I've never been that close to deer before. They acted like I wasn't there. The baby deer I saw was born on the property. Friendly, cheerful, knowledgeable and interesting staff.

Main dwelling - 34 ft diameter, rustic wooden floors & 5 1/2 ft round windows over looking great views! Large kitchen, open plan space; king bed in main living area, queen bed in open loft. Retreat-writing, meditation, yoga, dancing, playing, fun! Location-location!! 4 miles to town
We are friendly to all friendly people irrelevant of skin tone or culture of origin. We celebrate and are here to facilitate world unity. 1522 Talisman Trail, Crestone, CO 81161 Architecturally elegant and unique design situated with beautiful views. This was a big home that has been duplexed and is about 1100 square feet. It was designed for privacy, so the entry door for the other home is on the opposite side of the house from where you enter. Very peaceful and quiet - the only house on the street. I call the area 'country suburbia' with houses peppered in the neighborhood about 1/4 mile away. This is a monolythic dome which means a huge balloon was blown up and sprayed with concrete before the balloon was popped. That part of the house is 34 ft diameter with rustic wooden floors & two 5 1/2 ft round windows over looking great views & yard. (The yard is not totally secure for pet safety.) Large kitchen, very roomy open plan space; king bed/queen loft, about 40 dvd's for your entertainment. The picture shows a ladder going to the loft but it is now a stair case. The loft has an artsy 2 1/2 foot 'picket fence' as a wall. There is sight privacy, but due to it being a half wall, there is no sound privacy. Parents note: Please look at the pictures to decide if this room is child-safe for your needs. About 2 % of folks decide it's not right for them. I'm not a mom, but imagine it should be no problem unless they are climbers when you're not looking! Please ask for details if you're unsure. This is a wonderful space for retreats, writing, meditation, yoga, dancing, playing, fun! The sister dome is about 1000 square feet - and renting both sides is excellent for smallish events/retreats. There have been a few weddings held here. Location-location!! 3 miles to town.
This rental is half of a duplex that has been built for privacy. There is an ascetically lovely wide paneled high wooden fence in the back yard. (The yard is not secure for pets safety.) As well, separate drive ways and entry doors are on opposite sides so that it's most likely you won't even see the other person. We have a lot of folks coming for meditation and designed our home for retreats, writers & romance.
  • This space is really unique and offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and plains. It's close to the small town of Crestone and about an hour from the Sand Dunes. We loved watching the sunset from the front porch. Thank you!

  • We loved our second trip here - it's such a special, relaxing, and memorable spot. So beautiful and calming. The space is very clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out. Everything was really easy - communication, check-in and check-out, and the local information provided was helpful. Can't wait to come back!

There are two spaces, one beautifully crafted wooden hut with full bathroom, kitchen The other and awesome adobe mud hut comfortably decorated Both have outstanding views right at the feet of the majestic sangre de Cristo mountains On a clear night you can see stars through both buildings windows absolutely amazing
Beautiful surroundings for walks, 12 to 15 minute drive to the wonderful cute town of Crestone and a 40 minute drive to Sandune‘s national Park!
  • Staying at the Star Huts was a great experience! The building are so unique and well made. A perfect place for a few or many people to relax and enjoy nature. The space was in a great location! Right next to the mountains with a beautiful view everywhere you look. The space was quiet and could fit a lot of people if need be. The kitchen had all the utensils, dishes, and cooking items one would need. The bathrooms were very clean with towels and shampoo and conditioner and essential oils! The bedding was also very clean. Michael was accommodating and responded quickly. Would definitely recommend!

  • The hut was amazing, and I loved star-gazing once the clouds blew over. The huts are in such a beautiful location. It's about an hour & 15 to drive to the Sand Dunes parking/info center, but the huts are actually on the National Preserve. There's another gate much closer that is pointed out on a map in the main hut, but may be a little bit more of a trek if you're up for it. The smaller hut as has been noted would have been chilly to stay in, even in mid April, as it's cool out in the desert at night and it has little insulation & no heating. I stayed very comfortably in the main hut, loved hanging in the hammock watching the sun set, and stars come out to play. Well worth the experience, and the kitchen and bathroom had everything needed to make yourself at home.

  • AWESOME place! Super cool interior and the beat view you can get. You’re right in the mountains. The shower was actually quite nice and stayed hot for 4 guests. Would absolutely stay again.

  • Cozy little space. We brought our cat with us and he said he's never let a cat stay there before, so we are very grateful for that! Loved the loft bed and indoor hammock.

    Juan2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place is lovely! Def recommend booking with a group though because you have to rent both huts. The smaller one doesn’t have a kitchen or bathroom. The view of the stars is AMAZING! Also loved the shower! Super great host as well! Loved our stay

  • Off the beaten path. Simple which was perfect for my needs. As others have said... probably not good for a tent. Good for a camper. Strong winds had come through when I wasn’t there and host was VERY kind in trying to help with taking care of the camper while I was away. I greatly appreciated the communication and help. Quick responses. Thank you.

  • This is a very special place and Signe is a great host. The views from the patio are just amazing. We had a wonderful, memorable weekend, thank you.

    Melanie2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • This house was my favorite air bnb! It was so incredibly peaceful and comfortable inside. The light that comes through the house is exquisite. The views are incredible and vast. Signe is a truly amazing woman - I’m so thankful we got a little time to connect. I can’t wait to return. Bring your own mosquito hats with you if traveling in July or August- Signe was awesome - she lent us hers. We hiked and and explored. Highly recommend eating at Our Food is Art. Signe suggested it and it was fresh and delicious. You will love this house - it’s the best!

We had everything we needed and it felt like home. Signe was kind and gracious and we wanted to be as thoughtful to her as she was to us. We will be back. We didn’t want to leave.

Great space, Super Clean, Peaceful, one block to downtown.
This is a great space surrounded by flowers and peacefulness. It has a kitchenette that includes a small refrigerator, microwave, two electric burners a coffee maker and a sink. It has a newly built bathroom, Queen size bed and flat screen TV. The adjacent room has a sleeper sofa, dining table and kitchenette. It also has an outside sitting area with view of the West Spanish Peak. It is one block to downtown, which hosts several art galleries, a grocery store, a fantastic library and two live music venues. My place is close to Moffat - which is equal distance between Alamosa and Salida. It is the launch pad to the fun things to do out here in the middle of no-where. IE: Great Sand Dunes, hot springs, Hooper pool, UFO park, alligator park, etc!, parks. You’ll love my place because of the views, the location, the people, the ambiance, and the outdoors space. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and furry friends (pets).
We are friendly to all friendly people irrelevant of skin tone or culture of origin. We celebrate and are here to facilitate world unity. 187 West Silver Avenue, Crestone, CO 81131 Comfy queen bed, small dining&kitchenette w/ basic tableware, pots n’ pans. Each room has a coffee maker & organic coffee with a nice big shower and TV to provide free Netflix & ROKU (the leader in streaming entertainment) We provide organic soap & hair products & hair dryers. Quiet, yet in town.
The views are awesome in town, majestic and unique with the ever changing and beautiful lighting. We have a unique town - full of spiritual retreats and outrageous hiking for all levels. It is fairly quiet - yet we do have fun for such a sleepy little town. There is also horse riding a few miles away. Generally at one or two places in town, there is live music or dance nights - at least on the weekends and maybe mid-week as well.
  • Grace is easy-going, flexible, kind and helpful. She made our stay in Crestone smooth and enjoyable, despite the craziness and unpredictability of the world right now. We got a better vacation than we could have asked for and we will definitely be back soon.

This charming house was St. Benedict's Episcopal Church from 2004 until today. It was originally La Veta Seventh-day Adventist Church, established in 1900. When planning how to re-model the Church into a home this year, it was decided to leave as much of the original Church as possible. With the help of the La Veta Historical Committee's advice, we totally re built the interior, new kitchen, welcoming front room with gas fireplace, beautiful bedroom, new bathroom and private back yard.
This house is one block from main street, walking distance to restaurants, shops, outdoor stores, art galleries , the library with bicycle rentals, music venues, and Fort Francisco Museum. The town of Cuchara is 11 miles up Hwy 12. It is a little mountain town which will remind one of the 1950's. Horseback rides, hiking, fishing, beautiful mountain scenery and The Dog Bar. The Church is small, large families would find the bathroom small.
The neighborhood is quiet, with well kept private homes. No traffic, mostly people walking or biking. Paradise Coffee is a block away, they have great special coffee's. The Mercantile is a gift shop, wine bar, and has well known guest musicians regularly, also a block away. Charlie's grocery store has an old fashioned ice cream parlor, and traditional meat dept for custom cut meats. The train comes into town twice a week from Alamosa, and stops at the city park for pasengers to get off and walk the town.
  • The church was fantastic! We immensely enjoyed our stay in this unique and awesome space! The church was very comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked! I fully intend on return trips!

    Austin2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This old church was magical. The stained glass windows in the morning light are a sight to behold. We really enjoyed the atmosphere of the church/house. It was very clean, had all the amenities we needed for cooking, plus coffee and tea for the morning. It was so cozy and sweet we wish we could buy it to live in. The home is a short walk into town. La Veta is a cute and artful town. The shops were fun to walk through and we even heard some live music. Would recommend, 10/10.

    Kayla2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet, peaceful, little church in a friendly community. We had all the amenities of home and a host that responded immediately when we requested information. We stayed and enjoyed a beautiful snowy week.

  • Great location right off Main Street. Very good kitchen layout and supplies. Cute interior with stained glass in original sanctuary. Now a living room space. Only one bedroom, but large living area could host more visitors. Very small bathroom, but does have a tub and shower. Sandy was helpful with questions we had. Only negative was back sliding door does not lock. Checkin very easy.

    Mark2019-10-05T00:00:00Z

  • Patricia was the most gracious host. She gave us lots of local tips, was generous with her time, and had the most lovely space. The cabin was delightful, cozy and warm and beautifully decorated. My only wish is that I could see the garden in the summer! The tiny kitchen has everything you need. The sofa bed with the memory foam surprised me with how comfortable it was. The studio is right in town, and walking distance to the quaint downtown.

    Jessica2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is cute and cozy with everything we needed. It was very clean when we arrived and Patricia was kind enough to wait up for our late arrival. When we got in, she showed us around the cottage and made sure we had everything we needed. She also had a bunch of great suggestions for restaurants and attractions in the area. Her hospitality was unmatched and I cannot wait to return! While there, we visited the Royal Gorge Bridge and Bishop Castle. I highly recommend both.

  • Fantastic home with walls of windows for Mountain View’s. Near trailheads if you are a winter hiker. Very remote location so get gas and food before you park at the home. I plan to rent this home again during summer months for some awesome hiking and fishing in reservoirs near Crestone. Make sure to read the check in instructions provided by the host so you will know how to optimize solar power and use the generator if necessary. Angie the host, was very prompt in returning calls or text messages. An all round great space that I recommend 100%.

  • Absolutely amazing location for going to the dunes and hot springs. We come to crestone often for the hot springs and the amazing tiny town. The home was amazing, but in the winter months be prepared to be much more anxious and ‘work’ a little more. I wouldn’t expect the home to be a particular ‘relaxing’ vacation with all the work to get the home heated, and cooled, stocking wood and not feeling comfortable using too much electricity. Overall, loved the location.

  • This is a hidden gem in the most tranquil valley with views of the famous sand dunes and fourteeners. I will be back...

  • I highly recommend a stay at this listing. Views, property, and activities are incredible. This was surely the best air bnb listing I have had at this point. The property management is great, quick responses and detailed instructions. Could not ask for a better get away for my significant other and myself. Highly recommend and will be sure to book again if available in the near future. Thank you very much!!!!

  • We enjoyed our stay so much! The location was perfect for us....close to town but far enough away to feel really private and to enjoy deep silence. The star gazing was phenomenal! Next time I’m bringing a sleeping bag so I can sit outside for longer at night! It is a pet-friendly spot but the floors are mostly tile so there isn’t a lot of carpet to hold pet hair. If you have allergies you could stay and just bring your own sheets if you’re really sensitive and you’d probably be fine. Easy to work with the solar power monitoring as the meter is right near the front door. The place has an open floor plan but two bedrooms allow for privacy. A great spot for you Crestone adventure!

Built in the mid-1970s, our (recently) stuccoed home is among the oldest in the Baca Grande & near town. Enjoy a quiet location with views to listen to the silence of this mountain retreat community!
Crestone is nestled in in the foothills of the Sangre de Christo mountain range overlooking the San Luis Valley. Ours is a secluded mountain retreat community with a spiritual core, stunning views, and miles of hiking trails.
  • Better than advertised. Very clean, great location, mule deer seemed polite as they ambled past, and the mountain views were spectacular. Peter is a wonderful host. You can't go wrong with this place.

  • Peter was a wonderful host and provided recommendations on places to explore locally. His home was very charming and the wood burning fireplace added to the coziness of a sunny snowy weekend in the Baca Grande of Crestone.

  • We had a great time at Peters House and with Peter. It's a nice place to stay, wunderful quiet village. A conversation with Peter will light up your life. The home is very clean and a safe place to enjoy your journey. My suggestion: Enjoy the sunrise!

  • The stay was amazing! Other than mosquitoes, right outside the house the stay was incredibly comfortable. There was no AC but we did not need one as it's right below the mountains. These is beautiful sunrise in the morning and it is just 40 minutes drive to great sand dunes. Peter was a wonderful host and helps us feel at home and clarified all the needs we had. I highly recommend staying here if planning a trip to great sand dunes. Oh, and lastly, there are small cosy restaurant in this town you will love.

  • Peter's place is homey, warm, located close to the high Crestone peaks and all the various places to explore. Our room was comfortable and clean with a perfect bed that gave us great night's sleep both nights we stayed. The neighborhood is extensive with lots of roads to walk to take in the mountain beauty. If we ever return to Crestone we will be staying here again. We didn't get a chance to meet Peter but were hosted by his gracious wife, Nath, the perfect hostess :-)
