“We love this local gem in Georgetown. It's 25 minutes west in a quaint mining town. The salsa's and margs are worth the drive and it's close enough for a quick trip and far enough into the mountains to feel worlds away from the city. ”

“Georgetown , Colorado/ Just an FYI there is a great lunch place just off the Highway in Georgetown ... it is far less expensive than Vail and I always feel better eating there because it get's me on the road and gets me halfway to or from Denver. It's called Coopers On The Creek some of the best food that Iv'e ever had and an outdoor covered deck that is very close to the river bank. They have a Duck pot pie that I'd drive up from Denver to eat.”

“Just a good old fashion bar except the deck that cantilevers out over the Clear Creek makes it a great place to drink and hang out in the summer. Generally open later than other food/drink places in Georgetown.”

“Ride on a real old west narrow gauge train. The Georgetown Loop is one of Colorado's first and oldest visitor attractions. Upon it's completion in 1884 it was considered a modern marvel. Visit www.georgetownlooprr.com for tickets, schedules and events”

“The visitors center has local volunteers who are passionate about the area, on hand to guide you on what to do and where to go. Plus there’s a great movie on loop showing the history of Georgetown and the surrounding area. Sometimes you can even spot the mountain goat herd that lives on the mountain from the visitors center. ”
