Our property is down a winding road a few minutes off of the interstate, nestled in a forested, fern filled gully, in the mountains. The village of Wolf Creek is a small mountain town a few miles away, with a rich history in mining. It has two gas stations (one of which is a small-town general store), a quirky gift shop, post office, county park, and the historic Wolf Creek Inn and Restaurant (specializing in gourmet Pacific Northwest meals). The Jack London Peak Overlook hiking trail provides a gorgeous view of the Rogue / Umpqua Divide, Wolf Creek Canyon, and the historic Applegate Trail. Near our property is the 1890's abandoned gold mining town of Golden, where several buildings still stand. The Golden Coyote Wetlands public hiking area is also across the road from Golden. Our property is on land that was once one of many gold mines that were established in the area during the 1800's. Many of those mines are still actively used. Grants Pass, a historic city full of delicious eateries, engaging downtown shops, river rafting, fishing, and hiking is a 20 minute drive south on I-5. We're an hour north of Ashland's Shakespeare Festival and Jacksonville's Britt Art and Music Festivals.
  • Ron & Kim's place is lovely! Exactly what I expected, if not even more delightful. They obviously put a lot of thought and consideration into making their guests comfortable and welcome. The space is clean and comfortable with thoughtful touches in the decor and having things like silverware available. The outdoors area makes you want to breathe deeply and relax. I would definitely recommend it as a great place to unplug and unwind. Definitely do not plan to have high speed internet. They tell you that up front, which is appreciated. And bring a jacket! It gets chilly at night. :)

  • Exactly as described and very good directions to the place. It's a cute getaway, sad that we couldn't stay for longer.

    Vu2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a magical wonder land. It it beautiful. Can’t wait to go back. Kim and Ron are super host, very attentive.

    Traci2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • My husband thought he was a goner since we arrived in the dark, in the rain and off the beaten path. I told him I knew where we were going, since I had excellent directions from Ron & Kim. Besides, I reminded him that we hadn't got lost that day at all and I firmly believe that people should do that at least once a day. All his fears were put aside when we were warmly greeted by Kim, seeing that our every need was taken care of and putting us where we needed to be. We are usually taking care of others, so it was humbling that she thought we were eligible for this hospitality and not just some wandering gypsies that stumbled on to her property. Kim is beautiful and gracious. The property is outstanding. We highly recommend staying in this hidden paradise.

    Cathy2019-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Kim and Ron's place was beautiful and they were very kind hosts. Their property and the rental is gorgeous. The directions got us there without issue, just make sure to read directions ahead of time.

    Kim2019-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was such an amazing place to stay. Ron and Kim are excellent communicators, check in to see if anything is needed, etc. The property is absolutely gorgeous. I had no problems accessing it in a front wheel drive car, just listen to the tips given (stay to the sides of the gravel not down the middle) and it’s no problem. The amenities are great, there are all kinds of snacks, coffee, etc. It’s very clean and super cozy. Plenty to watch on TV also. The WiFi is enough to check texts, email, minor browsing etc. Don’t expect to stream anything or do anything overly internet-intensive, go out and enjoy!

  • UMMM MAGIC!!!!

We are two miles from the small central town of Glendale. In Glendale there is a Coffee shop called "Morningstar Coffee," a very cozy little coffeehouse. Highly recommended if you want a quick chat and delicious coffee!
  • We would definitely stay here again and recommend! There were six of us (adults) and one 10-month-old baby. Peggy's place was a perfect fit, very clean, cozy, with everything we needed. The property was easy to find and not far from I-5. Tucked in a country setting, there were chickens we could see out our back door, and even some farm fresh eggs in the fridge for us to use! (No roosters, though, so don't worry – we couldn't hear them). Lots of DVDs to choose from. The place also had lots of toys, a playpen, highchair, and other gear for small children.

  • Wonderful hostess, views, and special touches. Our family had a short visit, but it was perfect! Would love to come back and visit when we have more time

  • We had a wonderful stay at the cottage! Peggy was an AMAZING host. She is very thoughtful and hospitable. I highly recommend staying here! It was so beautiful to see all the trees, and to have space for my family. The cottage seems new or recently renovated, and was very comfortable for my family of 7. My kids loved the pond and my husband was wishing for better weather so he could kayak! Peggy’s gracious hospitality really made me feel like one of the family, and I hope to return so we can enjoy the property in nicer weather. Our original reservation had to be cancelled due to a snow storm, but Peggy was very good at communicating with me. Far superior to staying at a hotel, and well worth the short drive off the freeway.

    Kelli2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Peggy's place was fantastic. She greeted us as soon as we arrived which was very nice of her. The place was much bigger than I anticipated and was very nice. Everything looked spotless and the bed was possibly the best thing I've ever slept on. It was the first place we stayed on our week trip and it really gave us the great start after a long day of traveling. Honestly I feel we did a disservice to us not to stay longer. Highly recommend.

    Ian2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean only downfall was no cell or internet service but was expecting it :)

    Leanne2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay! The place was clean, pretty and very cozy. The nature surrounding us was beautiful (the hills, trees, pond, etc.). Peggy was very hospitable and greeted us so kindly. All in all, we truly enjoyed our stay. Thanks!

  • This place is one of the best places if stayed. There is no noise or traffic the host is very friendly and will be as helpful as she can. There is plenty of room to stretch out your legs and relax. It’s close to town so food and activity options are great I recommend the rifle cafe. I will be looking for this place again and if it available you should look no further.

Enjoy a unique stay in an earth-sculpted cottage, on 46 gorgeous, wooded acres near the scenic Rogue River, just 5 miles off I-5. Complete with micro-kitchenette, super comfy bed, wood-stove, passive solar heated outdoor shower and private space to rest and rejuvenate. If a truly rustic retreat is what you're after, The Nest is it.
COVID-19 special note: We are still open for business, and are taking extra precautions to make your stay safe and healthy. We have cleaning wipes available for you to use, so you can be confident about the cleanliness of your surrounds. All linens and surfaces are getting extra washing with plenty of soap and hot water. We are also blocking out the day before and the day after your stay, so that there will be at least 24hours between each guest. This will also allow us more time to clean and disinfect between guests. We observe the social distancing suggestions, and will only come say hi (from a distance) if you request it. Come enjoy some fresh air and a change of scenery. Looking for quiet retreat space? The Nest is a cozy, comfortable place for up to 4 to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We welcome up to 2 pets to join you. The Nest is fenced for your four-footed friends, but we ask that you not leave them unattended. Whether you are finishing up that manuscript, writing songs, looking for the perfect getaway with a friend, or just watching the clouds float by, The Nest is a perfect reprieve. Our cottage is a straw-bale, cob hybrid, built with materials sourced locally, and second-hand. The Nest was built as a writing & recording studio by a musician with inspiration and sound in mind: the shape, the soundproof cob, the guitar wood trim....making it an especially good place to commune with your muse. The density of the earthen walls ensure quiet, peaceful space inside the cottage, while the sounds of nature and country neighbors offer distant companionship. The woodstove will keep you warm on chilly nights. The views from the full bedroom loft are of surrounding forests and wildlife. Basic kitchen amenities are provided (small fridge, hot plate, toaster oven, small sink, kettle for coffee or tea, dishes, silverware, etc). Organic coffee and an assortment of tea is provided. Enjoy the private outdoor shower while the sun is shining (it's passive solar, so if if the sun is shining on its coils, that water will be warm). We provide bio-degradable soap, shampoo and conditioner, clean towels, etc. The toilet is a composting outhouse, about 20 yards from the cottage. We provide recycling and kitchen compost containers, and the water is gravity fed from a natural spring, so rest assured, your footprint will be small and green.
The beautiful Rogue River is a short drive away, and rafts can be rented at Galice Resort if you are looking for an adventure. We are about 45 minutes to the Applegate Valley, home of some amazing wineries. Ashland is a one hour drive, home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Right here on the land is where the We'Moon datebook is produced. The presence of the Muse is palpable!
  • The Nest was an excellent getaway that my Girlfriend and I were looking for. The area was gorgeous and the cob house was nice and cosy! If you’re someone that doesn’t mind nature, outdoor showers, and compost outhouses, Barb and Susie’s eco house is the perfect choice.

  • Very cute, but it would be rough on a tall person

    Debbie2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Such a sweet little cottage in the woods! One of the more magical places I've ever stayed in, didn't want to leave. lol Very quiet and peaceful, healing and nourishing. Hopefully be back soon!

    Kelly Lynn2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay at a very unique experience! The place is cute and clean.

    Isaac2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • The nest is a very special little space. If you're cold, the stove heats the entire place (especially upstairs) and is super snug. The stairs can be tricky, but have lots of places to grab on to. We came here as part of a road trip to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. The toilet is a little walk away, and is eco-friendly sawdust "humanure" deal, which is great for the environment and easy to use. Don't forget a flashlight though! It's a calm and warm space with just the right amount of amenities. It was cold out and so, unfortunately, we weren't brave enough to use the outside shower, but if we return in the summer, we definitely will.

    Anna2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Barb and Susie have a terrific cob cottage in the woods. Very private space so you can truly decompress. Highly recommend this place for a rustic getaway.

    Melanie2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Want a hug from Mother Earth herself? This is the place. I needed a place to rest and recharge, a place to hide away in, somewhere to read a long book and reconnect with nature. The Nest was exactly what I needed, and the cottage was lovingly and thoughtfully appointed. I brought food that would easily be heated up on the one hot plate and in the toaster oven, and was sated and content. Thank you to the women that hosted me!

  • Nancy’s place was so peaceful as is described. A great place to relax with kids, with a watchful eye. It is near a beautiful creek! The sounds of crickets and water flowing in the evening. I guess I got up too late to see the Elk visiting the property in the morning. Great place to relax and shorten a long drive from Portland to Eureka.

    Mike2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy is super welcoming, nice, willing to share all her tips and experience of the area. And most of all, a big heart :) We had the chance to experience a real Oregonian journey. The house and the property is a little heaven in paradise, we wish we could back as soon as possible !

  • Nancy is one amazing host. We got in kinda late, and she waited up for us. She gave us a quick tour, and made us feel at home. She made breakfast, and it was a wonderful way to start our busy day. It is very peaceful out there, and a short drive to town. Check out the water. We hated we weren't there longer than a night. It's a perfect place to have lunch and cool down.

  • Cindy and her husband are really great and lovely hosts. Arriving at their home seemed like a little adventure, but they provided very detailed information; so it was easy to find. Their home is also not far away from the city. We had some great talks and were very happy with our choice. Thank you a lot!

    Josephine2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Cindy accepted our late request right away and accommodated meeting us in between dinner and her holiday party. Cindy and her husband are a very kind genuine couple. Their home was decorated amazingly for the holidays. The house is sparkling clean, games galore in the closet and a very clean cozy bed! We could have never found a better place for the night. Their hospitality is what you'd wish every airbnb had. Thank you again!

  • Whimsical and fun! Quiet and peaceful! You won’t be disappointed!

    Amy2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • A true gem! Esmerelda is as charming as it gets. Although the wood stove is warm, definitely bring warm clothes for the morning if staying in the wintertime. The bed is comfortable, and Barb and Susie were very responsive. I arrived quite late in the evening and not only were they completely understanding, but they also got a fire going for me to heat up the bus. Thanks so much for a truly memorable stay!

    Julie2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in the bus! So so cozy in a beautiful spot. We hiked on the railroad tracks to the bridge and it was so nice to come back to Esmerelda. Very comfortable, had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Would love to come back again.

    Leah2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • I went to barb and susie’s so that I could hike around the rogue river area with my dog. The bus was the perfect place to come home to after a long day of walking. There was plenty of wood for the stove; the property was quiet and peaceful; and it was dark enough for some great star gazing. Barb and Susie are very nice hosts—easy to communicate with and and very helpful.

    Christina2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • So cozy! We truly enjoyed our stay!

    Alice2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful views, great coffee! Rachel helped out and the hosts were in communication at all times! Really enjoyed my time in Esmerelda, gave me all the feels.

    Emily2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • I have stayed on Esmerelda the magic bus several times now with my dogs. I love the simplicity of the set up - neat & tidy, simple kitchen (with some creativity you can cook almost anything with a hot plate and a toaster oven!) The bed is comfortable and cozy. The nearby outhouse is very convenient, and the composting toilet is super easy to use. More than these points, is that I love the feeling of being out in the forest for a couple of nights, listening to the rain on the roof... etc. It is truly magical. For those concerned that staying on an old school bus in winter might be a little chilly - fear not! The wood stove keeps the bus VERY, very warm. I usually have to crack open a few windows!

  • My family and I got lucky and were able to book here on short notice. Carrie was a superb host and we loved our stay in her apartment. The space was sparkling clean and quite roomy. Beds were comfy and the smart tv was great for Netflix. Quiet neighborhood in a convenient location even. Would definitely book here again when in town.

  • Carrie's place is amazing. We stayed here for a little over a month and it had everything we needed! It's a beautiful place in a great location. Would definitely stay here again!

  • Carrie's unit in Grants Pass was perfect for us. The space was impeccably clean, close to highway 5, nearby to many restaurants on 6th Street, and full of charm. Communication with Carrie was prompt and clear. We absolutely loved our stay at Carrie's and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when in the area.

  • What a wonderful apartment! I really enjoyed my visit. The place was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked for all types of cooking. I loved to look at the nice view while drinking my morning coffee. I would not hesitate to stay here on my next visit to Grants Pass!

  • Carrie provided a warm and hospitable environment for a memorable honeymoon that my husband and I will never forget. The space has a nice character, coupled with stylish furniture and decor, and a literal and figurative warmth.

    Robert2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Carrie’s place was a stylish, comfy apartment. It was perfect for two and had many amenities! The neighborhood was safe and comfortable, plus it’s located near the downtown of grants pass. It felt like I was right at home for the week that I stayed there. I would recommend this apartment to anyone staying in or passing through Grants Pass. Thanks for a great trip, Carrie!

Glamping at its best. With a great outdoors feel and wonderful view, yet only minutes from downtown Grants Pass. This is a large 5th wheel that can sleep three adults comfortably (2 in same bed) and up to 4 children. We have bedding for the main bed and the fold down couch. For children please bring sleeping bags. We have many things to do locally from enjoying the Grants Pass River, exploring the Redwoods, seeing the Oregon Caves, visiting Crater Lake or touring the local wineries.
Can get warm during the day but starts cooling down around 5pm due to shade. We have small fans to help move air. Does have AC but on 100 degree days it does it best “I think I can to try and keep up”. But those days also are great to spend near the river cooling off and playing. Also this is an RV so the kids room are bunkhouse slide type beds. I could only list as singles for ABB purposes. Meaning flats with a pad. One of the kids beds is a fold out couch and is fairly padded and comfy, can sleep two smaller kids on it. One space is elevated off the ground about 3 feet or so above another bed. There is a picture of the room so please review. Does have another bed in main room for an additional adult if needed. This is a pull out couch bed but is fairly comfy with its normal padding. If you have any questions or concerns about beds for children please ask. We do not want anyone to have concerns. We lived in it for 11 months while building a house and our two kids stayed in that room. It worked well for us and we hope it works great for you.
Secluded yet minutes from town. We have a great local bakery downtown just minutes from our location. Dash Bakery has great food and treats. We are also close to Wildlife Images. They are an animal rescue that you can go out and visit. Look them up online for more info and times.
  • Very clean would suggest only staying here if it’s a small vacation time but other then that they are nice people and very helpful, would stay here again 😀

    Isabel2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great visit and this RV was perfect for us. I contacted the host back in September about staying in his RV for a few dates in December. He was very accommodating and opened up the dates for me, and even changed the dates when I contacted him about my travel dates changing. When we arrived he met me at the RV and went over everything I needed to know in order to operate the lights, heat and he discussed some safety measures. There was even some extra special touches like a small Christmas tree, Christmas lights and hot cocoa. The beds were very comfortable. I found the bed to be more comfortable than the Marriott hotel that I spent over $100 to stay in just a nights prior to this visit. I would definitely stay here again.

    Wendy2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • The trailer is spacious and clean. Randy was great in walking us through the space and letting us know details. This was the perfect space to rest during a long weekend.

    Peter2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a seminar we wanted to attend in Grants Pass and found Randy’s place available. It was perfect. Close to town, yet in a nice quiet location. The RV was very spacious and would have worked well for us if we had had our children with us and was more than enough space for just the two of us. Would stay there again if we need to go back to the Grants Pass area.

    Frances2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay. Randy and Sennie were both very hospitable. Their place was easy to find, and it was very comfortable! We had never stayed in a fifth wheel RV before, but this place had everything we needed. The bed and sofa were extremely comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom were perfect and had everything we needed for our weekend. We had 2 bars of ATT cell coverage, so we had plenty of Internet speed for our needs. We will be staying there again.

    Tyler2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Had an amazing trip here! Our family of 5 fit comfortably and the hosts were super thoughtful with great communication. Our kids loved seeing the chickens and eating the eggs left for us. Would 100% stay again!!! Thank you!!!

    Kayla2019-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • It's a perfect location for what we needed. Close to Grant's Pass, Rogue River, Gold Hills. Be sure to visit the animal images rehab and local dairies. The chickens, goats, Guinea fowl and turkeys on/near the property were so charming and delightful! And the wonderful farmfresh eggs are superior to any other I've had. Randy's local tips were very much appreciated!! The accommodations were cozy and well stocked, the t.v. is a plus after a long day of exploring. We will definitely return!

    DIANA2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Randy and Sennie aren’t just great hosts, they are really caring people. My weeks stay was perfect. I loved being in the country with all the open space, quiet, beautiful views and yet only a few minutes drive to Grants Pass. Great location with day trips and hiking all around in every direction . The RV was immaculate with everything you could need, and then some. Super comfy bed, the furnace worked great on cold nights and mornings and the electric fireplace was a cozy touch. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else on my next trip to the area.

Enjoy the gorgeous view of the mountains and sounds of the Rogue River. Guests have access to the shared flower gardens behind the trailer and the bocce ball court as well. There is always something new blooming! Also, enjoy bird watching! I have seen blue herons, bald eagles, hawks, hummingbirds, blue jays, and woodpeckers to just name a few. Fishing and rafting are nearby as well.
This is a chance to travel back in time 60 years and stay in our charming 1959 Spartan trailer. It’s in amazing original condition so please be gentle with her. There are windows on all sides to enjoy the great views of the gardens on one side and the mountains on the other. There is a small video library in the desk cabinet and 2 local tv channels that sometimes come in. 😀 The kitchen has a 4 burner stove top to use, but the oven is not available at this time. All the essential kitchen items are available as well as staples such as coffee, tea, cooking oil and a few spices. The vintage bathroom has a tub and shower surround. The cozy bedroom has a full size bed to snuggle with the one you love.
Beautiful, country drive 8 miles from the I-5 freeway.. We are less than a quarter mile from Hog creek boat ramp and 2.6 miles from Indian Mary campground. Grant's Pass is a 15 to 20 minute drive.
  • Highly recommend

  • The pictures don’t do the interior design justice. Loved the “I Love Lucy” motif. Was blown away by the gorgeous view. Felt like a getaway where I stepped back in time for a bit!

  • Rob and Lorna have a beautiful setting for the 1959 Blast from the Past trailer. Lorna greeted us when we arrived and were very responsive to our requests then checked on us after we settled in to make sure we had everything we needed.

    LeAnn2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • What a comfy and cozy and adorable trailer. Rob & Lorna and really kept the trailer true to its original flavor but it's more than just visually appealing; it's comfortable and quiet. The bed was comfortable and we had a good night's rest. My only wish was that we had more time to enjoy the amenities and countryside. I hope I have a reason to be back during the summer months too! I appreciated that our hosts were available for any issues or questions. Their house is close by but it still felt private. All around, I LOVED my stay and would recommend.

    Mary2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding retro vintage mobile home on the Rogue River! Great lodging for wine tasting, rafting, fishing, or talking a walk- I loved the Lucy theme, bocci ball and hot tub! Be sure to walk up the street to see the interesting goats and paddle board fence. Boat launch within a short walk.

    Barbara2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is such a fun and unique experience! It's surrounded by unparalleled natural beauty and just minutes away from excellent hiking trails along the river. The I Love Lucy touches are really cute, and we loved watching their copy of The Long, Long Trailer together one night. The hosts were responsive to our questions, and the stargazing at night was out of this world beautiful. Highly recommend.

No pets allowed. Firefighters and the like, special rates for stays of 30 - 90 nights. Cleaning fee required on long stays. We are close to Greyback. Let me start by saying we have 6 friendly inside dogs. We work in rescue! There is a lot of barking when someone comes to the house. However, we do keep most away from the front door until we can do proper introductions.
We are in the country and 6 miles away from the freeway. We are off of the Merlin exit # 61. We have 6 inside dogs. There is no escaping the barking, which quiets down fairly quickly. Our dogs like to meet people and will come to sniff you. Some will want you to pet them. I ask that you base your rating on the bedroom you are staying in and the bathroom. Of course, you are welcome to sit in the living room, use the kitchen and must eat at our table. Just know it is not close to being perfect. You will be comfortable here. We will happily chat with you or leave you to your privacy. We do NOT allow guest's pets. It is far too hard on our own dogs and us. We do our best to keep the house quiet by 8:30 pm. The kitchen may not be perfect as it is small and the counters do get cluttered. Rob goes to bed by 8:30 on weeknights and gets up a 4:15 am. The room is freshly painted, the bed is new as of July of 2018. It is comfortable and very clean. The bed is a queen size memory foam. NO food or beverages allowed in guest rooms except water. Yes, you can drink our tap water. It is delicious!
We live in the country. You will see deer, turkey and other animals walking on our property. We borrow our neighbor's horses and goats for weed control so you may see them as well. Please do not pet the animals.
  • I travel for work frequently. Everything worked out just fine. The parking inside the gate, which I like and of course everything was neat clean and tidy. Bed was just fine and is quiet.

    Tim2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and comfortable room with heater and tv. Very nice couple. Offered a snack when we arrived. Several nice dogs in common area only. 10 minutes off hiway but easy to find.

    Marc & Judy2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • I was welcomed by a pack of friendly pups and a warm bowl of chili. What more could you ask for?! I had a comfortable sleep on the memory foam mattress, hot shower before I left and full use of the kitchen for what I needed. A great place to stop on a road trip.

    Lili2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great, friendly hosts!! All the puppies were so fun, made me feel at home!! And the best mattress I think I have ever slept on!!

    Kris2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Maria and Rob were very accommodating. They are very pet friendly and had many treats, food, space, and information to offer for our puppy. The bed was very comfortable and they make it easy to meet your temperature needs. AC, box fan, heaters, and extra blankets. The shower was spacious. Many fun lakes and rivers to explore around the area. We were a last minute reservation and they welcomed us in. Great hosts!

The Circle C Guest House is a 200sf tiny house on the 9-acre Circle C Ranch 6 miles SW of I-5 Exit 103 (Riddle/Tri City), which is 21 miles S of Roseburg. We're near the Umpqua valley's many wineries, Wildlife Safari, Cougar Canyon Golf Course and Seven Feathers Casino. Peaceful, rural location - everything you need to get away from it all. If staying 3 or more nights, click "Contact Host" and ask about a discount before booking.
The Circle C Guest House has its own bathroom, a queen bed, glider rocker, dresser, bookshelf/books, bistro table and chairs and the basics for preparing simple meals (mini fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, table setting for two and a few kitchen utensils). You may also use Dan and Sally's BBQ grill on their patio, if you wish. The original 9 x 17 structure was built in approximately 2012 and the flooring, windows and door show some wear and tear. The bathroom was added in 2017. This tiny house sits about 50 yards from the main house and has windows in every direction, providing scenic views and fresh air. For winter months, a heater is provided. As for summer, there is no air conditioning, however a fan is provided. And while it can get quite warm in the middle of the day during the summer, mornings and evenings are pleasantly cool.
The Circle C Ranch is one of a handful of acreages, varying from 1.5 to 15 acres, that are situated near Cow Creek to the north and Council Creek to the east, all along a gravel road about a half mile long. Many properties in the area are well taken care of, however, some are vacant or show evidence of people struggling to maintain their homes. You'll see a few cows, goats, chickens and horses and almost everyone has a dog. A singing bridge (grated metal that "sings" when cars drive on it), trucks from logging companies and a nearby sand processing plant, and a railroad do bear evidence of civilization but since they are a mile or so away, the sound is muted.
  • Sally and Dan were very welcoming and made my stay very comfortable. I would definitely stay again

    Nico2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This cute tiny house is located in the Riddle Oregon countryside just off I5 but gives you a pleasant glimpse of this causal small town lifestyle where people are friendly and welcoming like these hosts. Inside has personal touches which make you comfortable from lovely wine glasses to plush towels. I enjoyed no tv but there is WiFi if you must. It’s a refreshing break , thanks for sharing Sally and Dan.

  • Just as advertised and hosted by pleasant people

    Douglas2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, comfortable and quiet. The cabin looks small but it’s got a very comfy bed, reading chair and ottoman with good light and bookshelf with a selection of books to read if you don’t have your own. Microwave, half fridge and coffee maker. The WiFi was good and I watched a program on my device just fine. The bathroom is clean and has everything you need. Sally and Dean are personable, helpful and just plain good people.

  • Keith and Alicia were the loveliest hosts we have ever had. The listing was so much better than we had anticipated. The place is so quiet and peaceful . The garden/orchard was very lovely. The house is very spacious and super clean. They were kind enough to wait until we got there so that they could show us around and helped us in morning when we realized we had a flat tire. We highly recommend staying with Keith and Alicia for anyone looking for an experience with so many personal touches! Thanks once again

  • Staying in this comfortable home means you have the run of a large, 3 bedroom house including a formal dining room and a nice garden in the back. Quiet location off the beaten track, but close to all amenities. The hosts are welcoming and outgoing and have included lots of thoughtful touches.

Keith and Alicia are especially kind and gracious hosts. My family truly loved our time in this home. The price is outstanding as well. If ever I want to stay in this area again, I want to spend more time in this relaxing home. This is likely the best stay in an Airbnb I've ever experienced.

    Kurt2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Lorraine is a wonderful lady and a great host. We just loved Lorraine and her home. It was a really great place, very clean and nicely decorated. She gave us really great ideas for trips locally and for our future travels. And I just loved our talks that we had as we sat on the porch and had our morning coffee or just enjoying the cool evenings. Lorraine makes you feel like family and that is what she became to us. I hope that we can return in the near future and stay with Lorraine again.

  • Me and four other friends came here for a place to stay to visit the National forests around this area. Frank was very nice and gave us tips before the trip even started of winter conditions and other details that would help like groceries and diners around since it is a small town. When we got there Frank greeted us and showed us around the Airbnb and also left us orange juice and other snacks (my group loves orange juice). Other than that the Airbnb has everything you needed and was stocked wonderfully.

  • Awesome Private house. BBQ and Fireplace!!!!!

  • Frank and Shannon's place was very clean and comfortable! We loved our stay and recommend Frank and Shannon's place to others. The neighborhood was quiet and if you needed to there was a larger town just down the road. Frank and Shannon communicated quickly and clearly and check in and check out were easy. We definitely recommend Frank and Shannon's place!

  • The place was spotless, and the queen in the master was so comfy. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, and the hosts provided some breakfast goods which we really appreciated!

    Nicole2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place to stay in Oregon! Frank & Shannon are the sweetest hostesses. Would 10/10 stay here again if we were traveling to the same area.

  • This place was just amazing. Clean and has everything we needed. They added special touches by leaving us some treats and breakfast items. Would definitely stay again if were in the area.

*Coronavirus Steps: We utilize an ozone machine to kill virus between guests. Tiny, charming, glamping cabin at an off-the-power-grid goat farm! Comfy queen bed. Outdoor kitchen: picnic table, sink, grill, and sawdust composting toilet. Access to real bathroom and shower (shared) about 100 steps in main barn. Milk a goat (most times of the year). Hike our forest and farmland. Learn about off-grid life. Our other listing: The Airstream.
For 2020: Goat kids start being born at the end of January - March. A great time to visit! Learn how to milk a goat (seasonal) and take a mid-day hike through the forests with us if the timing is right and the entire herd, during "the goat walk" (unless it's raining). At night, enjoy the quiet (usually!) and peace. Inside the Bunk House is funky, cute, and cozy, with a memory foam Queen bed, writing desk, and small table. If you want us to supply an ice chest with ice let us know. The outdoor picnic table has a gas grill and burner. Water is available for washing your own dishes. We are avid about reducing waste, recycling, and composting and hope you will be too! Hot shower, fresh towels, and bathroom is available a short walk away in the main building (shared bathroom with our other Airbnb option, The Airstream. The farm, and Bunk House are powered by the sun and fully off-the power grid! (This can mean some power limitations depending on the weather) A green, composting sawdust privy is part of the Bunk House (along with the "real" bathroom in the main building). We manage the 24 acre property organically and do our best to live in synch with nature. Wi-fi on front patio of barn or in the "old" tasting room, feel free to hang out in either space, read some magazines and learn more about the local area. We also have Gianaclis' books for sale, our homemade goat milk and olive oil soaps, and Pholia Farm T-shirts. . Most people won't get cell service once they arrive. This space is tricky for children, let us know if you want to bring them and we can go over what you'll need to be aware of to make sure they stay safe and that everyone enjoys the stay. Located 10 miles outside of the City of Rogue River, and 40 minutes from Ashland-home of the Shakespeare Festival. The Rogue River is famous for its scenic beauty, rafting, and fishing. Nearest airport is Medford, about 35 minutes from the farm. We are 25 minutes from the closest Greyhound station in Grants Pass Oregon. We recommend renting a car or bringing your own. Check in between 3PM and 6PM, check out by 11AM unless other arrangements have been made.
Rural Southern Oregon! Check it out on Google maps for an idea of where you will be.
  • Outstanding hospitality!

    Kara2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • I had a nice stay at the farm and enjoyed seeing the animals and how people are able to live off the land. The cabin was very nice and was a great retreat for the night. We arrived in the dark so it was a little strange pulling into private property but the instructions we received were very helpful and reassuring to gain access to the correct property.

    Matt2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Pholia Farms is an awesome place to stay. It’s in a nice location where you are truly in the woods but on a farm at the same time. Gianaclis is a great host and very kind. It gets cold at night but the cabin has good insulation and once you warm it up, it will stay warm all night. If you want to see the goats getting milked, you should be prepared to wake up early! Its so worth it though! We got to hang out with the little baby goats for a bit and they are super adorable and very playful. Though I was skeptical at first, the composting toilet was surprisingly not bad and easy to use (incase you were wondering). Overall, we had a great time! I highly recommend 👍🏼

    Daniel2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • my husband & I had a lovely stay at the bunkhouse, it was a great place for an off-grid recharge on our road trip from Seattle. thank you for the hospitality & for letting me tag along during morning chores :)

    B2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • This place is so much more than a ‘bunkhouse on a goat farm’. It’s a little slice of heaven. I felt so disconnected from the world in the best way possible. I learned so much and I laughed at the goats more times than I could count! Gianaclis and her husband were so incredibly welcoming and they treated us like old friends. It’s an experience that I would recommend to anyone. We will definitely be coming back!

    Samantha2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time staying here! Take advantage of Gianaclis’ knowledge. We had a great time learning about the goats and exploring the property if i could give more than 5 stars i would!

    Katherine2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • They did an amazing job with the farm experience and knowledge. We own goats so it was very special for her to share her knowledge and wisdom with us. The farm was clean, and farm-like so not the type of place you’d stay if you want room service or a hotel pool. But if you want off the grid and sustainable living, I could not think of a more recommendable place. Thanks!

    Larry2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • We only stayed for one night at Gianaclis' farm, but she gave us a very warm welcome and made sure everything was alright. The goats (and especially baby goats!) are a delight! :)

This chalet style home is one of comfort and relaxation. In the morning enjoy having breakfast at the sunroom where birds, deer, and squirrels come by. In the summer enjoy fresh vegetables from the garden. Only a couple miles from the scenic Rogue River, family and friends can have a blast swimming, fishing, and rafting. With the beautiful floor to ceiling windows in the living room the natural light and beauty of nature will have you looking outside most of the time.
There is two bedrooms, one upstairs and the master bedroom down stairs with a connecting bathroom. Feel free to walk around the property and enjoy the nature. Be aware that a care taker/co-host lives in the back building behind the garage. Our dog lives behind this building in a fenced in area.
Merlin town is only five minutes away which has restaurants to eat at and fishing/rafting guides. Only twenty minutes from Grants Pass, makes this location great if you still like to be in nature but like to go shopping or take a jet boat ride. Medford is 40 minutes away. Ashland's Shakespeare theater is a little less than an hours drive away. In the summer enjoy the Britt Festival in Jacksonville which is about 40 min away.
  • This space was amazing and much better than described! The house had everything we needed for our Thanksgiving feast including a kitchen and bathroom and with lots of supplies should we have forgotten them. Brianna was quick to respond. House was warm and had a well equipped kitchen. We would definitely stay again the next time we head to southern Oregon!

Yellow Country Cottage located 1/2 mile from the Scenic Rogue River. We’re located just 6 minutes from downtown Merlin, and 16 minutes from Old Town Grants Pass. Very peaceful and gorgeous country setting.
The guesthouse is set apart from the main home on our property with its own private entrance, back private patio, and front patio. It’s a studio-style open floor plan with one queen bed and one quality air mattress. The studio has a full kitchen with oven/stove, microwave, coffee pot, fridge and dishwasher. Theres also cable TV and WiFi, although sometimes spotty due to that country life. On the property, you can enjoy the quietness of the country, while taking in the views of the gorgeous surrounding mountains, seasonal fruit trees, occasional wandering chickens, quail and turkeys, and the cute Nigerian Dwarf goats that love to chat and have their heads scratched. The Rogue and Applegate Rivers nearby are a fisherman’s paradise, not to mention the fun to be had with floating or rafting, hiking, Oregon Caves, gorgeous Historic Jacksonville and much more.
You can take a short 10 minute stroll down the country road to the Rogue River at the famous Hussey hole.
  • Very friendly place...We met Lee and he gave us some good tips of what to see around the area. We were close to the river, close to Grants Pass and the Applegate Valley. We were able to explore, Jacksonville, take a walk by the Rogue River and have a glass of wine at Troon winery. Very clean place, lovely goats to pet and an awesome night sky, to dream about the beautiful universe.

Pinewood Acres is a peaceful place for the whole family to enjoy. The inside is spacious and offers a sanctuary-like atmosphere for weary travelers. The mighty Rogue River is in view also. It features the surroundings of an enchanting evergreen forest and many trails to walk on. The neighbors are friendly welcoming people. You can reach me anytime you need at my cellphone number and-or Facebook messenger. During the day, I am more active on Facebook messenger as m y service can be quite spotty.
The space offers a variety of characteristics including: -surrounded by tall trees, which creates plenty of privacy -2 bedrooms -1 bathroom -kid-friendly space with activities for the whole family -a spacious living room with an Internet-enabled TV and Roku so you can log into your Netflix/YouTube/Hulu -an open kitchen with silverware/cooking ware/dishes/seasonings -a big patio and fenced yard with seasonal fruit trees The first bedroom features a child-friendly space with toys, books and coloring pencils and paper. It also has a separate baseboard for localized heat for the room. The closet is equip with hangers and extra blankets. The bathroom is quite spacious and comes with amenities such as extra toilet paper, towels, washcloths, shampoo and conditioner, extra toothbrushes and toothpaste and more. The living room has a TV with Roku and a big space to visit with family and friends. It also has a baseboard for heat that you can turn on using the knob on the wall next to the couch. The kitchen is big and has easy-to-clean counters. It features a Keurig and a cookbook with different recipes for coffee. It also has measuring cups and spoons, silverware, bowls, plates, glasses, can opener, cheese grater, etc., It doesn't come with a dishwasher, however. The laundry room is free to use anytime and comes with soap, fabric softener sheets, and a laundry basket. Across from the laundry room there are storage cabinets with games and cleaning supplies. The second bedroom has a comfortable queen-sized bed and a mini-shelf to put your shoes in. It also features a huge walk-in closet.
Although the space is tucked in, you have wonderful neighbors who are open and very welcoming to you as a guest. Merlin is about 5 miles away but it features 2 of my favorite restaurants, Baldini's and the Riffle Cafe. The Rogue River is just a walk away and has a boat dock and trails that lead to a beachy area to relax with the family. During the summer, this spot is especially popular because of the annual jet boat races! They stop here and it's super cool to watch them!
  • A sweet and private two bedroom place in the woods. When the apple trees has apples you can go out, pick apples and enjoy crisp, sweet flavors.

  • A jewel! Nestled in the hills very close to the Rogue River, this cabin has privacy and a beautiful setting, with easy access to river sports. We shuttled back and forth to Ennis Riffle for rafting all weekend with no trouble, and the cost to stay relative to nearby hotels and resorts made this practically a steal! Master bedroom is roomy with a HUGE closet, second bedroom is nice sized with a comfortable day bed, the living areas are really well planned, and you can't turn your head without seeing a lovely view out the windows. There's a Keurig coffee maker in the kitchen, so come prepared for that if you enjoy coffee! There is also a roomy deck/veranda outside with a view of a tiny orchard of apple trees--very lovely place to sit in the evenings when it's cooled down a bit (we were there in mid-August). There is an air conditioning unit in the living room, and we discovered that it works just fine for the whole house, just make sure you leave the master bedroom door open (a box fan might be handy here). Full laundry facilities, hallelujah! WiFi worked really well (we know, because our son hooked up his PS4, and had NO lag!) We noticed a fire pit and a BBQ, too, but we were rafting on the river, so we didn't use them, but we were happy to note them for the future! Kayla has done a beautiful job so far, and I'm sure her little cabin is only going to get even better, as she's attentive and friendly.

    Thea2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place was Awesome. I will be back for sure!!!! Thank you for letting me stay!

    Japen2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Good location in the middle of the forest. Very peaceful.

    Paul2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Pinewood Acres! The setting in the woods above the Rogue River is beautiful, and the house is fully furnished with everything for a longer stay. We appreciated the laundry facilities, especially since we were in town for a memorial service and were able to freshen our dress clothes from the suitcases. We brought a gallon of drinking water, since Kayla mentioned that the well water has a distinctive flavor - very helpful tip! There was no cell phone reception for Verizon, but the internet connection was excellent. The driveway is gravel and very steep, which isn't unusual in Josephine County - I did have to back up and take a second run at it a few times but I was driving a small car without a lot of traction. If you're looking for a place to relax, or a home base for exploring the Rogue River valley, this is it.

    Robin2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Loved staying here and would love to come back and stay longer. Place was spotless and clean in the middle of a forest just stunning. We loved the little touches like spare toothbrushes and shavers even so we didn’t need them it is nice to see the thoughtfulness of our host. One tiny niggle was that the host forgot, I assume, to put the Wi-fi password out for us and as is there no reception we had to go looking for her to get the password. But that was soon sorted and we were perfectly happy. Water was white and hot when needed fridge was clean and working and coffee and other basics were in the cupboard.

Come stay in a warm and cozy cabin in the woods next to the lifeblood of the region - the Rogue River. Have a warm and cozy winter stay, playing cards by the fire while listening to old jazz records, napping with a good book, writing your next novel, exploring the region, playing games with your kids or silently meditating in your own quiet retreat space.
This is a sweet escape to quieter times - with modern amenities. Full climate control as well as wood burning stove, fully functional kitchen with many gadgets, stereo sound system with record player as well as a input jack and a subwoofer. Cell-service is very spotty - Verizon and US Cellular are the most reliable providers in the region - and there is no internet at the house. Unplug and relax!
The cabin backs right up to 40+ acres of BLM land with the river flowing through. There is a cute beach just 10 min. walking out the back door. While here check out Wildlife Images, less than 3 miles down the road, to see rehabilitating grizzly bear, bobcats, mountain lions and birds of prey. The Rogue Creamery further down the road is an amazing visit - it's an almost fully automated dairy that produces gold medal blue cheese! A beautiful 20-minute drive takes you into the heart of Grants Pass, with restaurants, shops and antiques galore. Hopping on the freeway you can explore the Valley down towards Ashland for a play, or take back roads towards Jacksonville, passing through the Applegate Valley with award-winning wineries. There's also tons of hiking and nature to explore within minutes.
  • We had a great time exploring the gravel bar down to the fishing hole. The location was prime. Nice quiet property. Perfect location on the river. We definitely enjoyed our time there. And would recommend it.

  • My wife and I just got back from a 7 day stay at Rob’s over New Year’s Eve. We booked last minute (day before) and although Rob himself was away on vacation he confirmed right away, and was quick to reply any time. His cottage was just what we wanted and we had a super relaxed time chilling in the evenings cooking meals, reading in front of the fire and listening to music. And hanging out with the two cats, especially Grey Cat, we miss ya Grey! The house is very comfortable and cosy and well equipped in the kitchen. It’s silent and peaceful to fall asleep at night and his bedroom was nice to sleep in. Most days we drove to different areas to hike, drove up to Crater Lake, and explored town. Used a couple of rainy days as an excuse to stay home and feed the fire. Rob has good reference literature and guidebooks to get info about the area and beyond. No internet or service which was fine by us. All round great stay. Thanks Rob!

    Dan2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic host, above and beyond. Thank you guys for sharing your house with us. This was my first Airbnb experience and you have set the standard pretty high.

    Michael2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Rob's home is so well-appointed you don't have to think about anything. We were able to relax, cook a full meal, walk to the river, sit by the fire, and listen to great music on vinyl. The beds were comfortable, he has the heat set to start warming the place up in the morning which was a nice surprise. The fireplace insert was easy to use with kindle and logs ready to go, ...and I could go on Such a nice experience. I especially appreciated how thoughtful Rob is in everything he has in the place. I really liked his art. I appreciate staying somewhere that is so aesthetically pleasing but also easy to be eco-conscious. Great selection of books for exploring the area. Grants Pass, Medford, and Ashland are near by. We ended up going to Ashland for the day and found the trip easy. Rob was easy to communicate with, he has a binder with helpful information by the front door, and made helpful recommendations. All three of us commented on how clean his place was and how everything we needed was there. Just a tip -- Google Maps is not accurate on where his house is. Use Waze. My friend overshot the house and had to drive slowly to find the right number. I used Waze and had no problem. Thank you for your hospitality, Rob. You have a lovely home and sweet cats.

    Suzanne2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Rob's cabin. So many thoughtful and stylish touches, a great vinyl collection, sweet kitties, and an easy walk down to swimming spots at the river made for a wonderful getaway. Highly recommended!

  • This is truly the perfect place to spend some quality family time and listen to some AMAZING records while you’re at it. The property has everything you need from kitchen amenities to indoor/outdoor activities. It is such a great space, and our welcoming committee, the two cats, we very sweet and made us feel right at home. We are definitely coming back.

Oyoke was built in early 1900 as a roadside rest and eat stop for the first Roadtrippers. Come and see bit of history but with a modern twist. Gather your own eggs for breakfast. There is a cafe attached to house that may or may not be open while you stay, depending on time of stay. You must have been an Airbb member for a minimum of 3 months and have a minimum of 4 positive reviews to rent. Exceptions will be considered if there is an emergency or special special circumstances
Wide open space with plenty of parking. Surrounded by trees and creek. Secluded but still close to I-5 for easy access.
Great neighborhood, friendly people. Lots of hiking and relaxing atmosphere to write and read.
  • One of a kind place in a peaceful little town only 15 mins from grants pass and every amenity you could want. Super quiet location with a huge backyard to explore and relax in. Chilled and nice to talk to owner and owners family helping out.

  • A great place to stay. A bit farther than we were expecting but overall it was awesome!

    Carrie2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • TL:DR - This is a GREAT place to stay if you're going to be down and around Grants Pass/Southern Oregon or want to be near the coast but also near the major cities down there (GP, Medford, etc.). Longer version: - We had a unique situation where the cafe wasn't open so we had the run of the mill to ourselves - It was fun being around the chickens (you can't actually hear them all that much inside the property which was nice - It's a well laid out space, even down to the extension cord running near the couch so you can charge up while watching TV (Amazon Fire TV!) - AC works VERY well - Host was very gracious and even helped us when we got locked out!!

    Matthew2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Everything you would ever need. Very relaxing atmosphere and convenient to anything you may want.

  • We stayed 4 nights at this beautiful property and we did not want to leave, but more guests were on the way and this place is usually booked up way ahead, so you should book this place right now, if there are any openings left. This is a very private location with a huge open fenced yard that is surrounded by tall pine trees, yet not very far from town. You will have Roku tv and excellent WIFI signal and you will be very lucky to have a chance stay here if it is available. You will have a nice and private little studio cabin that is detached from the main house with very good tasting well water that has been tested and is very safe to drink. This is a really great place to bring your dogs and kids of all ages with a huge completely fenced in area to run and play and just a short 5 minute walk down to see a very nice and private area of the Rogue River. We could not imagine anyone wanting to stay in a room in town or anywhere else, after such a wonderful experience at this completely gated and fenced in private country property. Kathy is a wonderful host who lives in the main house and she is ready to help you with any questions or concerns and she makes sure that you have a very comfortable and enjoyable stay and you will be very happy staying here.

  • Kathy's place we clean, open, and perfect for what we needed along our drive north to Washington. The meadow is big, fully fenced, and our dog loved running around playing fetch. The river is right down the street which was cool to check out.

    Ryan2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect location for a couple looking for some time with nature. It is steps to the Rogue River in a meadow surrounded by trees. The area has very little nighttime light pollution, so it’s also a perfect stargazing spot.

  • David's space was wonderful and everything I needed for a weekend getaway. The amenities were fantastic, having access to a full kitchen was a plus, the place was cozy and felt like home. David was great at communicating clearly the expectations of me as a guest, addressing any of my possible concerns, key things to know about the space (working the shower and it's quirks, the fireplace, etc.), and how to find enjoyable things to do while in the area. I had plenty of privacy, while knowing I could contact him if I had any issues. This is a place I will definitely stay again the next time I'm headed to Grants Pass and I highly recommend it.

  • What amazing, friendly hosts, super cute camper, and beautiful forest. So glad my mom and I could stay here for a night on our road trip-- and wished we could've stayed at least a day longer ! It was so relaxing to sit on the porch and in the hammocks in the evening, and so cozy to hang out and eat dinner in the fun retro camper once night fell. A great getaway. Thank you for everything !

    Nastassia2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a magical wooded wonderland. Melissa is your fairytale host with flowers and treats and tales to delight. Oh, the horses you will meet! And deer, hummingbirds, turkey, a nature lovers paradise. Inside the camper you will find a vintage 60s-70s vibe with none of the crustiness. We played Scruples ( 80s game kinda like cards against humanity) at the comfortable stylish dining nook. The super comfortable beds are styled like an old school camper but make no mistake- they are soft with silky sheets. It felt like we were kids again- but way better digs! There is a well made, tastefully decorated large deck with places to read and relax ,as well as a patio set for dining. You also have 2 hammocks close by to lounge, watch the horses or stargaze if you wish. Quiet, safe, gated property. Good for solo trips, friends & couples. There are many river rafting adventure trips nearby. Not to mention this section of town reminds me of small town in Tim Burtons Big Fish. Many little stores nearby. Easy to find. Melissa is one of those hosts that make a trip memorable. She delighted us with her hospitality and spirit.

  • This is a great stay! There is a good bit of property to roam on and a nice little path that leads all the way down to the river. When we woke up on our last morning it was snowing and the view from the deck made it hard to leave. Indoor accommodations are cozy and clean. I hope to return

  • The River House is a great place to stay, relax and enjoy your holiday. So many thoughtful touches really added up to a wonderful time for me and my family. I wouldn't hesitate to come back again if we're ever in South Oregon.

  • The River House is an absolutely beautiful location. It's a bit off the beaten path, but well worth the drive. There are 3 or 4 different ways to get to Grant's Pass proper (including the freeway), and all the drives are well-worth the trip with regards to scenery. The place was really clean and all the spaces had comfortable furniture. The kitchen was one of the best stocked kitchens I've ever stayed in, which includes a very well-stocked pantry. Spices, oils, baking goods and even appliances like slow-cookers adorned the shelves. The bedrooms were all clean and nicely done. Beds were comfortable and the linens/comforters were cozy. The two bathrooms were well-equipped and well-lit. Stephen and Sarah are very prompt about responding to inquiries and were very helpful in giving us detailed instructions for check-in and directions to the house. The binder on the living room table provided extra information as well as tips on activities and places to eat. All in all, it's a place we're keeping on our list in order to revisit at some point. :)

  • Susanna’s cabin is an adorable little hideaway in Merlin, Oregon. The area is gorgeous, tucked away against one of the little creeks that feeds into the Rogue River. I can’t say enough how happy we were to stay here. The place was comfy, cozy, clean and inspiring. Thank you Suzie for an excellent stay!

  • Susanna’s place was so magical. We arrived in the afternoon and the fire pit was going in the yard and chickens were roaming free. There are string lights stretching between the beautiful redwood trees surrounding the Airbnb and back yard, and when turned off, the starry night sky was breathtaking. Susanna is the sweetest most hospitable host, with three wonderful little boys who our daughter adored playing with. There’s a beautiful hiking trail through the woods just behind the house, and a cute little creek with swimming hole across the street and down the road a short walk. Susanna’s Airbnb is just the cutest, and so clean and comfortable with all the desirable amenities and more. So many thoughtful touches throughout including fresh greenery in vases, coffee for the morning, beverages in the fridge, and she made the coziest bed for our oldest daughter on the convertible sofa. Any question we had was answered swiftly and Susanna’s responses were packed with great tips. Everything about this place is perfect, we truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back someday!!:)
