Duncan House was built in 1920 and has unique architecture. The house is centrally located ... walk to downtown shopping, the beach and dinner. Cozy front porch provides the feel of a cottage while having access to all 'the square' has to offer. You will enjoy old world charm with modern amenities. Bathrooms have been renovated and bedrooms painted.
Duncan house has a large living room for family gatherings. BBQ grill on the patio. Large yard for kids to play.
All the best of Goderich is located within walking distance; downtown shopping, restaurants, bakery, beach, Tim Horton's.
  • A must see. Pictures don't give this place justice. The house is immaculately clean. The front porch is a piece of heaven, we sat around chatting, knitting, reading, colouring and having a wonderful time. The proximity to the Square is amazing, mere steps away from everything you need. The Goderich Beach is beautiful, family friendly with clear warm water. Going a bit further out of town (10 min) is a Provincial Park that has the most amazing sunsets. We also went to the waterfalls and enjoyed exploring! We are overly thrilled with our stay and give this place easily 5 stars. Thank you so much!

  • The house was wonderful and roomy for the crew of guys that stayed. Ann was great to communicate with. Things had just been painted and freshened up before we came. You can see the love in the house. Work needed to be done on the roof which Ann did tell me about before we rented and she did a great job of communicating when the crew was going to be there (it was while we were out). House is right in town and convienent to everything.

Our newly renovated 4 bedroom home is located steps away from the path in Sunset Park which leads down to Lake Huron. In addition to being close to the beach, our location is in close proximity to shopping, weekend farmer/artisan and flea markets and restaurants. You'll love our place because of the charming, quiet street, the front porch, the back deck and of course the in-ground pool! Let your children play in the large fenced yard. We also provide a barbecue, playpen and high chair.
Feel the calming breezes off the lake and listen to the sounds of the gentle waves as they come ashore. Plan a day trip to the unique surrounding towns along Lake Huron such as Bayfield and Grand Bend. We provide everything you need to really enjoy your stay: fire pit, barbecue, towels, pool floats, two tv's (one in main area, the other in large bedroom), Netflix
The neighbourhood is upscale and quiet. There is a small park across the street (Sunset Park) which hosts a swing set and monkey bars and it is a great spot to watch the sunset. Head down the path and enjoy a park at the bottom of the hill, along the beach. Head right or left and you'll encounter outdoor exercise equipment and two more playgrounds.
  • Great house! We loved the deck space and the pool was great! Lots of space and nice quiet neighbourhood! Very clean and Sonja went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Lots of baby stuff there already if you need it like a pack and play and high chair!

    Barbara2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect spot to stay! The house is spacious and clean. The pool is beautiful, it’s a quick walk to the beach to swim, play on the playground, walk on the boardwalk or watch the sunset.

  • This is a lovely home with comfortable beds, a well-stocked kitchen, and lots of room. It’s conveniently located, within walking distance of downtown and the beach. And the pool is great too! Sonya was an attentive, helpful host.

  • Sonya & Jon’s place is lovely and has lots of space for families or small groups. The outdoor space is excellent, lots of seating and dining space on the deck, plus a nicely secluded pool and lots of grass. We had a really comfortable stay and had no trouble cooking meals. Sonya and Jon were easy to reach with any questions and came by if we needed help with anything. The neighbourhood is close to a park and Lake Huron, and town has lots of cute shops and restaurants.

    Allison2018-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Sonya was a pleasure to deal with although we did not have the opportunity to meet in person. The house was in a lovely location and had most of what we needed. It was clean, spacious and we loved having a pool! I highly recommend this home and the hosts.

    Sharon2018-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • The house was spacious, clean and included everything that was in the description. Our kids especially enjoyed swimming in the pool, the bonfire pit and the toys available. The location is great. Very close to the beach and not far from the town centre. It was an enjoyable experience. I would recommend staying here.

My cozy two bedroom house is located in the heart of Goderich. Couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids) can easily walk to the historic square to shop, see a movie, attend a concert, enjoy a meal or take in one of the weekend markets. Brig O'Dee is a short walk to the main beaches & boardwalk. Spacious open-plan makes staying here a pleasure as everyone has ample space to spread out yet share time together. Private backyard with deck and view of Lake Huron.
My well appointed cozy cottage has a clean modern feel. It is an open plan space with bright windows and a west facing glimpse of Lake Huron. There is a large furnished deck in the private rear yard. Enjoy the beautiful perennial gardens surrounding the cottage.
Brig O'Dee is located in the residential quarter of the Historic Courthouse Square in Goderich, Ontario. Nestled in a mixed neighbourhood of large Victorian Houses and new re-development, my house is the perfect get away. Walk to world famous Culbert donuts, stroll the shops around the square, come enjoy one of Goderich's festivals.
  • This little house is in a wonderful location. Very close to the lake as a matter of fact you can see a little bit of Lake Huron from the deck off the back. They neighbourhood is a mixture of hundred year old stone mansions overlooking the lake and small houses like this one. The house has absolutely everything you would need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Nice modern kitchen with new appliances, and lots of windows to let in the light. We slept in just one of the beds and it had a nice comfortable foam ( I think ) mattress. Just a great place to stay and sight see in the Goodrich area. It is within easy walking distance to the main circle of downtown Goodrich yet is very quiet. I would definitely stay here again.

  • Susan's place exceeded our already high expectations. Overall, very comfortable, clean and homey. We stayed with our three young children, and they absolutely loved the place. Susan had everything we needed. Our boys were very excited to see the drinks and popcorn she left for us! After a long day out with the kids, it was so nice to come back to such a comfortable place where we could share a meal together and relax in the very comfy living room. The neighborhood is also really nice. We went for a few walks and were so impressed with how friendly all the neighbors are! We cannot recommend this place enough. We'd definitely stay again. Thank you, Susan, for providing such a great home for our family.

  • Beautiful home in an excellent location. We had a wonderful time and hope to visit again.

    Madison2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended for anyone staying here. This place has it all - a full size kitchen, amazing location and a ton of games/books/ movies for the late night or rainy days. Will come back in a heart beat.

    Greg2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place for our young family of four - walkable to beach, parks, hiking, downtown, museum, and all kids of amazing discoveries. We have stayed in cottages in several other beach towns in Ontario and Susan's place and Goderich were hands-down the best. We felt totally comfortable making Brig O'Dee our home for a week and miss it already. It has everything we needed for a perfect week away. Thank you!

    Lauren2018-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Susan has a nice place. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you'd need to cook for yourself while travelling. She's in a great location, very close to restaurants on the square, shopping, tourist locations, and the water. We had a lovely stay.

    Isobel2018-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay @ Brig O Dee Cottage was fantastic! Everything you could want was included. The oven and stove felt like Chef quality. The main floor laundry was a definite bonus as well. Susans place felt very welcoming . Brig O Dee Cottage truly is a walkable distance to many Goderich attractions while still maintaining that sense of seclusion. Would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

    Susan2017-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Brig O'Dee rates as the best airbnb I've stayed at, factoring in location (close to downtown AND the beach), amenities (excellent wifi and a kitchen where you could make everything from salad to muffins!), pristine bathroom, fresh crisp linens and towels, a huge comfy couch and chairs, a sunny deck with oversize couch and a BEAUTIFUL front garden that begs you to stop, smell and breathe. Communication was super fast with Susan and her co host Monique. No wonder Susan is a superhost!

  • This place is so incredibly lovely. A very cozy cottage feel, with all the comforts and amenities of home. It is beautifully and thoughtfully put together with really lovely outdoor spaces, too. The cottage provided the perfect escape for our little family and we will for sure be returning again. Leslie was a very thoughtful and accommodating host and made the entire experience exceptionally pleasant for us. We highly, highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy family retreat. You will never want to leave.

  • Lovely tranquil setting. Enchanting log cabin on a nice corner lot. The host was very accommodating.

    Heather2018-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • The listing gives you a pretty good idea of what to expect, but you can’t grasp how cozy and homey it is until you visit. From the creaky screen door all the way to the cozy sunroom, there are beautiful and thoughtful touches throughout the cottage. We came pretty prepared but it was great to see that if we were in a pinch you had extra toothbrushes and paste, coffee/tea, condiments etc. We were able to prepare all our meals easily with the wide variety of kitchen accessories and everything worked great. We lit the candles and enjoyed cozying up in the main room spending time together as a group. We were touched by(and thoroughly enjoyed) the home made pumpkin loaf and the nice personalized note attached. There was ample parking and loads of green space for everyone to play. Thanks again for hosting us, we will be back someday!

    Tonia2018-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful cottage it was the best getaway . The first thing we noticed was how well kept the grounds were as well as the decks and gazebo. We were left a cute little card a bottle of wine and a freshly baked pumpkin loaf that was delicious ! Every detail in the cottage was beautiful very homey and had the perfect cottage feel. The beds were all very comfortable as well. We enjoyed sitting by the fire and under the gazebo every night and in the mornings . We had three kids with us who loved the outdoor activities and just running around the large yard. We will come back here many more times ! Leslie was a wonderful host and very thoughtful :)

  • Angus is an excellent host who made sure that our group of 17 people got what we needed in order to enjoy our stay. Communication will not be a problem with Angus as he was able to answer our questions and concerns before we left for the cottage. Even with a large group, the cottage is spacious and there will always be room for everyone to find a seat. The beach is also a short walkable distance and great for pictures.

  • The Mill House Cottage was absolutely lovely and my group had a fantastic weekend visiting Port Albert. The rooms were clean and comfortable and there was a generous amount of common-space. The staff were helpful and responsive when we had any questions ("Can you show us how to work the stove? How early will the store be open? What time could we use the hottub??") and were friendly and accommodating beyond all expectations. We're very grateful and can't wait to visit again!

Lots of parking, huge deck area - we couldn't ask for much more, particularly at the very fair price we were charged. Lots of great road cycling opportunities nearby, plus beaches and pleasant places to walk.

It was nice that she had cold water in the fridge and coffee available so we didn't have to immediately run to a grocery store. • We really enjoyed our stay at the Port Albert Inn. It was definitely a unique experience to stay in such a landmark in this quiet town. There was plenty of room for our party of eight, and we could have definitely had more people with us and still been comfortable. We had small children who had a wonderful time in the space. It was easy to get to other places from here as well. The temperature was pretty high outside while we were there, but the fans and windows provided enough ventilation that it was not a problem to not have an air conditioner. The owners were very responsive and the town was super friendly. The linens and other necessities provided were more than adequate. We talked about coming back with more people to fill up the space. It's a fun space to gather with family and friends. Each night we could go to the beach (we drove with our littles, but you could definitely walk), watch the sunset, and return to get ice cream from the store across the street.

  • Angus was very welcoming and kind. The inn is gorgeous and feels like home, however it is lacking in the cleanliness dept. We found a great quanitiy of sand in our bed and the pillows reeked of week old sweat. After asking Angus, he was very apologetic and moved us to a new room immediately. However after pulling back the sheets, we discovered a few blood stains on them. Angus then changed the sheeting our old room and we went back there, we were so tired by then, we didn't bother to ask about the pillows. In morning we discovered that the shower was filthy and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a few months, so dirty in fact that we both skipped showering. It's really a shame , such a gorgeous hotel with friendly staff, i was looking forward to coming back the moment i got there. If they up their game in the hygiene dept, it would be the best most romantic place to stay in sw Ontario.

  • Port Albert Inn is a very quaint, quirky and cozy place to stay. We went in not knowing how our stay would be, and we were so happy we booked. Mark and Judy were both helpful, friendly and accommodating hosts. Mark, especially, is a gem. We found the Inn to be warm and welcoming with a blazing fire to greet us. Our room itself was cozy, warm and clean, the linens and bed very comfortable, and we had everything we needed. Getting to the Inn was easy, even in the snow. The hot tub was running (though sadly we didn't use it!), and breakfast items were available when we woke up. Everything was very old school & relaxed, it was a great way to escape the pace of busy city life and it feels good knowing there are places like this still in existence. Make sure to bring your own drinks, food, etc, just in case, as the store was closed when we were there (holiday hours!). We had a wonderful time for New Years Eve, with lots of people and dogs abound, all having a joyous time. Thank you Port Albert, we'll be back.

  • Port Albert Inn is a gorgeous place full of charm. We were looking for a quiet, restful getaway and we got just what we needed! Angus was perfectly attentive, but also gave us space. The hot tub and fireplaces were a definite highlight. It was great to see the beach covered in snow and ice, and to enjoy Port Albert's off-season quiet. We particularly loved that we were able to bring our dog, Foxy, with us.

My cottage is nestled in trees. It's a very private subdivision of about 100 homes and cottages and about a 5 minute drive away from the town of Goderich. If you want a private beach ? it's here! Just a 2 minute walk down the bluff stairs or path (the access to this is directly across the street from the cottage) - Please note . . . It''s 100 stairs .. easy going down ;-) My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). (Pets can be negotiated)
As for the cottage it'self. It is stuck a little bit back in the 70s with lots of pine, linoleum tiles and an awesome mix of gold and green! (Yes, you do see green carpets in the pictures!) Rest assured though, the place is clean! The mattresses were new a season ago, and the BBQ is newer and will help you grill the perfect steak!
  • Exactly as described. Host was very friendly on the phone. Pack medication if you have allergies.

  • Rob was a wonderful host - very accommodating and helpful. The house was clean and well equipped. Lovely backyard with gorgeous trees.

    Susan2018-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great view with a quick easy walk to the beach. Nothing negative really to say.

    Alexander2018-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very cottage-feeling. Only a short walk to the beach. House was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. Only a short drive to Goderich. I would go to this location again.

    Andrew2018-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very good time at Rob's house. We enjoyed the meals in the veranda with the window looking out to the trees. Rob is a great host. He gave us a very cordial welcome and told us all kinds of tips to really enjoy our stay in the region.

    Sylvie2018-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was a very last minute booking! My husband follows the wind for some great kitesurfing. Goderich was going to be great for the wind this particular weekend. Rob was great quick response. All the amenities were there. Wifi was excellent touch. Rob was really great at answering all questions and great with all responses! Will gladly stay again when returning to Goderich!

  • Great location and value for money!! The cottage was cosy and comfortable!

    ShyamSingh2018-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay very much. It was roomier than we thought and we liked that two bedrooms were on one side of the cottage and one bedroom was on the other side. We slept near our young children so our other family members didn’t hear them when they woke in the early morning. The kitchen has all you need and there are chairs outside to use at the fire pit. There isn’t air conditioning but lots of fans to keep you cool in the summer. Rob was great at communicating and answered all of our questions- as well as emailing general information before our stay.

Very quiet neighborhood where the cottages are well spaced, with lots of private property to enjoy. The beautiful Town of Goderich is a mere 5-minute drive away, with all its festivities, unique markets, and shopping areas and wonderful restaurants. The Village of Bayfield is a 10-minute drive and Grand Bend is approximately 30 minutes away. The fishing here is fantastic and there are several hiking trails nearby.
  • Charlene's cottage was amazing - it couldn't have been better! The house is lovely, cozy and beautifully renovated. The outdoor spaces are wonderful, especially the two decks with views of the ocean, and the wide, sandy beach, which was very private and secluded. The location is ideal, between Bayfield and Goderich, both lovely towns to visit. Charlene and Rick were a pleasure to deal with and we really appreciated that they were able to accommodate our dog. We look forward to staying again!

  • What a gorgeous cottage! My family have been staying at cottages on Lake Huron for over a decade, and this wins for the nicest cottage. I was here with my husband and my parents (in their 60's). We really appreciated having two full bathrooms, and each beside a bedroom on separate sides of the building which felt nice and private. This cottage has every amenity that one could ask for -- fully equipped kitchen, wifi, Netflix (which was handy on a rainy day!), board games, fire pit, bicycles, hammock...the list goes on. There is a beautiful paddle boat, though we had all wavy days this time so didn't get to try it out. The only thing that I would mention is that it is a bit of a climb up and down the stairs to the beach, and my father who has heart problems had a little trouble with this part (the rest of us appreciated the exercise though!). Bottom line: spectacular views, at-home feel in this beautiful cottage! Charlene was easy to communicate with, and though she couldn't meet us on the first day she sent her daughter who was more than welcoming and helpful. Thank you for the wonderful stay, Charlene!

  • Our stay at the Lake Front Cottage was ok. The property and surrounding area is beautiful, aside from the heavy sulphur smell of the water inside the home, the mildew in closets and cupboards, the place is well equipped for family stays. We have no complaints about the property at all, it's amazing. The host, Charlene, is very new to airbnb and was slightly difficult to deal with. Regardless of her inexperience, we are hopeful she will continue to grow as a host and provide better service to her guests.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Charlene's, Scenic Waterfront Home. The property was exactly as described in the listing. The cottage itself was very clean and was equipped with all the essentials. It felt like we were home away from home, which says a lot. Our stay was in October but the house stayed warm and cozy with the gas fireplace. We very much enjoyed the sunsets and walks on the beach. The beach access itself was perfect with stairs all the way down and a deck closer to the beach. The neighbourhood was perfect for both our pup and 3 year old daughter to explore. It is far off the main highway so nice and quiet and safe too. With regards to communication, Charlene was very prompt with her replies. Overall, we had a wonderful, relaxing stay and would recommend this property to anyone. Thank you Charlene for making our stay so great!!

  • Charlene and Rick were very good hosts, even though my family and I never met them , they provided great communication. The cottage itself was absolutely beautiful everything was as described. The negative review before mine should not be taken seriously because this place was absolutely gorgeous.

  • We had a great time. Good location, we were able to do day trips to Blythe, The Old Mill, Cowbell ( a new Brewery), Maelstrom's winery. Also we visited Bayfield and several other points of interest in and around Goderich.

We also appreciated that the kitchen came fully stocked, we were given clean linens, towels, shampoo/conditioner, soap, and toys/games for the kids. • From the process of booking, to actually arriving, Angus and his team were so amazing in providing helpful tips before we arrived and what to expect. Everything he described was 100% accurate. The walk to the beach was less than 5 minutes! The cottage was beautiful, we spent most of our time on the deck and in the living room. Kitchen was stock with every appliance and utensil needed. The rooms were like living a hotel. Very clean with face and bath towels for our usage also including face and body soap, like a hotel! The fire pit was one of our highlights, Angus provided us free firewood to use and we roasted marshmallows. We definitely took advantage of the WiFi streaming music throughout the weekend. We didn't use the TV but there were endless amount of channels to go through, along with a ton of board games in the basement. There are a ton of stores nearby if you run short of supplies. A Wal-Mart, Zehrs, 24 hours Macs Convenience, Tim Hortons, gas stations, etc all along the same strip (about a 15 minute drive). One of our nights the water pressure had dropped. Within an hour Angus came and found the issue and we were back to normal. Amazing service and kindness on his part! Very few items to point out. I recommend of course bringing bottled water along with sandals or flip-flops to wear indoors. The second bathroom is clean but the well-water has stained the shower yellow so don't be too alarmed! If you are a clean-freak, I recommend bringing your own blanket and laying something over the pillows. Lysol wipes would also be helpful! Overall, the area is extremely safe. We took night walks to the beach and everyone was incredibly friendly. For the price it’s at, I would definitely visit again especially because how amazing Angus was (he showed up to our place on a Sunday night, when he could have been enjoying the long weekend himself!).

This cottage is situated on 100' of Lake Huron bluff. Enjoy beautiful sunsets right from the back yard or walk down the private trail to the beach below. There is a firepit and lawn games for your enjoyment. This cottage was completely redone, with a new kitchen and bathrooms, but maintains the original wood plank walls for that "cottage look".
The cottage is 3 minutes from Bayfield and 12 minutes to Goderich, on a quiet street right on Lake Huron. Sit in the backyard and watch the sailboats go by or walk down the private trail down to the lake. Enjoy the peacefulness, only a short distance away from the quaint village.
The quiet street is lined with summer cottages on the lake side and permanent homes on the other. Quiet serenity in a beautiful natural wooded area on Lake Huron.
  • Lovely cottage with beautiful water views great breezes and lots of outdoor space. Completely enjoyed it and close to great restaurants in Bayfield. Bring water shoes for the beach.

    Sue2018-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely, snug little cottage with direct water access, this cottage has everything you need for a quiet family getaway. There are three bedrooms, two with twin/double bunk beds, so works great for a single family with several children. The master bedroom is also on a separate floor, so some additional privacy. The cottage is located on a high bluff, overlooking Lake Huron and lovely sunsets. The beach is located down below, with private steps leading all the way down. The beach is fairly private and only shared by a couple of neighbours. It is quite rocky, with a mix of sand and rock both on the beach and on entry to the water, so water shoes are recommended to save your feet. There is a bit of a drop off a few feet from shore, so be wary of any younger children in the water. The host does have water toys available for use including two kayaks and life jackets, a lilypad, as well as a couple of beach chairs. The cottage includes an outdoor firepit, a BBQ, and outdoor picnic table and a dining set, as well as some Muskoka chairs. Inside, there is a kitchen with all the pots/pans/plates you need, a dining room, and living room with TV, inlcuding cable and a DVD player. The cottage is located a five-minute drive from the lovely town of Bayfield, and about a half hour from Grand Bend. It is a fairly quiet area, without too many amenities or attractions. Perfect for a quiet week away, to spend on the beach.

  • We had the best week away at this cottage. It is a great location with an amazing beach! We could have not had a more perfect vacation - we look forward to returning next year!

  • My wife and I spent an amazing two weeks at Chantale’s cottage, and our love affair with the place just grew day after day. We had the beach to ourselves as often as not. We slept to the lullaby of waves on the shore. We discovered great backroads for biking and trails for hiking. To too it all off, the sunsets were nothing short of magnificent. Chantale was always available when we needed her. This place exceeded our expectations from start to finish!

    Fraser2018-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • My family had a great week at the cottage. The special little touches in each room were very inviting. The sun sets were unbelievable. My sons have never seen a red sun before. Glad we brought our water shoes but got lots of use every day at the water. Truly a happy place to be.

  • I think we might have only been the first or second group to book this space and as a result we were able to book at a discounted rate so it was fabulous value for money for us. We live in Toronto but wanted to book a weekend for my dad who lives in the Windsor area to celebrate Father’s day. I chose this place based on price and also because it mentioned kayaks and lawn games. Also because there was lots of sleeping space. We used the kayaks which was fun. Didn’t end up playing lawn games. We also found a bunch of games and board games. My daughter loved the ‘guess who’ style game. If the weather had been bad we would have been set inside. There was lots of room to cook in the kitchen and also store food. There was also everything we needed there like spices etc (I shouldn’t have spent so long making sure we had ‘everything’ with us, but better to be safe I guess!). We also used the gas bbq which was convenient to have. The host supplied plenty of wood which was awesome and even left a nice bottle of white for us on arrival (nice touch!). We let my dad have the queen bed upstairs and my young family of 4 shared a bunk bed, and my sister and husband got the other bunk for one night. They complained about how noisy the bunk was when they moved. I suppose ours was a bit noisy too but nothing crazy. And our bunk was reasonably comfortable. The kids loved the big swing that swung from the tree. Honestly, I loved it too actually. My parents stayed one extra night beyond our initial reservation (which the host graciously accepted) and made acquaintance with the bed and breakfast owner next store and even played cards together in the evening. We didn’t use the shower so I can’t comment on that. It did take longer than I am used to to get hot water running, and while the well water was safe to drink it tasted terrible for me and resulted in sub-par coffee. That’s the only real thing I missed and would bring with me next time (water that is). There was a Brita filter in the fridge. Overall, a great stay and hoping we can come back again one day. Thanks for everything.

  • Chantale’s cottage is a hidden gem. The home is adorable and well appointed. This is a cottage though so don’t be surprised if you find some dust and cobwebs, etc. The beach is amazing! It was practically our own private beach the whole time we were there! There is an album at the cottage that tells the story of the history of the cottage and it is very endearing. Chantale is very very responsive to any queries and she treats you to a welcome gift of a bottle of lovely Canadian white wine! Definitely would return!

  • Very cute place. Erin was extra helpful and very quick to respond. Place was very clean inside

  • Erin was a great host. Our family had a fun relaxing time. The weather was great. I got exercise in with the stairs (which I wont miss). The community was very nice. Lots of thing to do only 15 mins into Goderich if you have a little cabin fever. I would definitely stay again.

    Kelly2018-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Cittage was nice and roomy. Clean and very relaxing. Host was very responsive and lots of information about the cottage and area. Would definately go back.

    Michael2018-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Erin was a great host, she replied very quickly and answered all my questions. The cottage property is great, the deck is large and there are many places to sit and relax inside and outside! The kitchen was well stocked and the fridge is very large. The beach is wonderful and the sunsets are the best. Goderich is very close and we found lots to do in town there. The cottage was hot at times, we brought a few extra fans from home as we are used to AC, but at night it was fine and breezy through the windows. The community seems friendly and we felt comfortable with our young children there at the cottage and at the beach. The stairs to the beach are a lot, for someone with bad knees it would be challenging to do many times and it was tough to take very much down and back up - thankfully umbrellas and chairs were provided and already down there. All in all, we had great relaxing week!

    Laura2018-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Erin was a great host..easily reachable and quick to respond to questions. The location was excellent..the cottage clean and spacious. Neighbours (Joyce) and other renters were easygoing and super friendly. The best beach vacation we've had in 5 years of renting (different places). Hoping to rebook for 2019.

    Sarah2018-08-17T00:00:00Z

  • Great property, lots of outside space for activities. Fire pit is in a great spot, and he hot tub is an added bonus. The cottage is so much bigger then it looks, great sized bedrooms and common areas. Great beach nearby, short walking distance, but also has a parking lot which was great for bringing kids, and their stuff.

  • The house and grounds are spacious and comfortable. The property is ideal for a family. Our host, Jo-Anne, replied promptly and helpfully to any questions we had. The local beach is within walking distance. Highly recommended!

    Daniel2018-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Jo-Anne's cottage! It was very functional and a perfect size for our group of 8. The walk to the beach is about 7 minutes (a little slippery especially when it rains) and also accessible by driving. The kitchen was well equipped and they had an abundance of board games which were quite welcomed when it rained during our stay. Jo-Anne was also very helpful in answering all of our questions. Thank you so much for allowing us to have this experience!

    Jennifer2016-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn't ask for a more equipped cottage, the outside spaces are beautiful, lots of space inside as well. We enjoyed the wood stove inside. Great retreat for a family.

  • Absolutely loved this place. The house was well equipped with everything you could need for a relaxing stay. The view is amazing, beds super comfortable. The weather was a bit cool to enjoy the BBQ but we enjoyed relaxing on the deck in the sunshine. Mike provided us with all the information we needed and responded quickly to any questions. We were only there for 5days but wished we were there for longer. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

  • Beautiful location of cottage overlooking Lake Huron. Close to many local hotspots ie. Bayfield, Goderich, Blythe. Cottage was well stocked and had everything we needed to enjoy a weekend together with friends. Extremely clean and great communication from owner at all times. Would recommend highly.❤️

  • Location is quiet yet close to Goderich and other area attractions. The property is very well maintained and perfect for a family beach vacation. The view of Lake Huron from the back deck is beautiful. Cottage is a nice size with 3 full bedrooms and extra sleeping space in the main room. Nice bright main kitchen/living area was fully equipped for our stay. It's a perfect setup for a family vacation. There is a private beach area within walking distance which we enjoyed along with the Goderich main beach. The host, Mike, was very prompt on communicating with me and very nice to deal with. We hope to be back someday!

  • We were visiting family in Goderich and this was a fantastic location that was in the country, with great views. The hot tub and the bunk house was a hit for our young daughters, especially on a rainy day or when we needed a little quiet time for ourselves. We were also able to host a lunch with other family with enough supplies for all. We would absolutely stay here again.

  • This Air BnB was an amazing country get away! We loved every min of our stay!

  • Cedar Hill was an excellent place to stay! It had all the amenities we needed with the benefits of the hot tub and rural setting we love! It was a quick drive to Goderich, a beautiful and quaint town. We will definitely visit again!

    Krystyna2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Phil and Joan were fantastic hosts. Everything was clearly laid out for us when we arrived, the house was exactly as described, and they went above and beyond by providing us with supplies for breakfast as well as purchasing a box of donuts from the local bakery as a welcome gift. Top notch service from some good country people!

    Jordan2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Phil was a very considerate host and was easy to contact. He had left a manual with instructions and tips for things to do. We loved going into Goderich for the day and the place was a quick 10 minute drive to the town. He also had a hot tub which he made sure was turned on ahead of time for us with fresh water. We had a great time there and I would highly recommend his place :)

    Rebecca2018-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Exceeded my expectations. The bunker is steps away from the door, so not an issue even in bad weather. The hot tub is clean, and also under the covered patio. The patio table & chairs on the covered patio provided a nice alternative to the fire pit, since there was a fire ban in place the weekend we went. The space is definitely set up family friendly with lots to do indoors. Great place to stay if your adventuring around Godrich or Blyth!

    Matt2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • It's perfect for families with children. Phil was very kind to take my kids' kiddy pool and fill air in it and bring it back. He made sure our questions were answered promptly. One thing we misunderstood was regarding the rooms, we thought there were two rooms in the main house but actually the second room (bunkie) is outside the main house. This made the sleeping situation a little uncomfortable for us. Otherwise everything else was nice. Thanks Phil and Joan!

Bayfield - not just a summer destination. Enjoy a stay in Bayfield close to everything. A five minute walk to the beach and parks. Shopping and restaurants and coffee are just around the corner. ( One hundred and fifty steps to a coffee shop and sixty-six steps to the first store.) Close to Stratford, Grand Bend and Goderich for additional shopping, theatre and festivals.
You will enjoy a spacious house with three bedrooms on the second floor with a bathroom (shower, tub, toilet and sink) which has recently been renovated. There is original hardwood flooring through out most of the main and second level; much of it recently refinished. Take time to enjoy the new second floor balcony which overlooks the yard. The kitchen can accommodate 4 guests at the table and 3 on the bench while the cook in the group whips up dinner. There is a separate dining room with room for 8-10 people. The living room has a couch, love seat and large chair grouped around the gas fireplace and TV. In the corner there are comfortable chairs for reading. Or you can pull up a couple of extra chairs to play cards or board games. The main floor has a washroom with a large shower, towel and sink. There is a shower chair to use if needed. The closet in the bathroom houses a condo size stacked washer and dryer. There is also extra closet space for coats. The sun-room may be used for extra space during the day (couch and chair) and then a great bedroom with a sofa bed at night. There is enough room for everyone to have privacy but wonderful space for coming together.
  • The location is perfect, and Julia exceeds expectations for the best in communication.

    Kate2018-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved staying at Julia's place. The location, the ambiance, the "Harry Potter Room" were all awesome. The rooms, bathrooms, bed sheets and linen etc. were very clean. The house was comfortable. Everything was conveniently located, and exactly where they were supposed to be. The kitchen ware was of great quality, and the supplies adequate. We enjoyed a great BBQ dinner, as well as tea on the balcony. The internet connection was great too. It was so near the main street and the beach. We would recommend this place to any, and everyone. Thanks, Julia for being an excellent host!!

  • The pictures didn't do the cottage justice. We had a lovely stay - the cottage is bery spacious, well equipped and stylishly decorated. We all loved it - was particularly great to have the accommodation downstairs for my grandmother. Julia was very quick to respond to any queries or questions and the location couldn't have been better. Particular highlights were the yoga and the paint the sunset down in Pioneer park which the kids loved. Can't wait to come back.

    Sarah2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • The house is spacious, well-equipped, very clean, and as described. It's located close to main street and the lake. Communication with Julia was great - she responded to emails quickly and we knew what to expect. Julia was accommodating for an early check-in. Info about the house is provided in a binder in the house Julia made clear to call her of there were any issue, but there weren't - all was in order! This house was perfect for our girlfriend getaway weekend.

    Nancy2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying here! The home was super cute inside with nice touches all around the home. All 8 of us had a comfortable bed, and shared the two washrooms. There was a really nice deck that seated all of us, which gave us a nice view of the stars. Each room had a different colour theme, with towels laid on the bed. Upstairs also had a map to mark where the group was from. The best part was when we discovered Harry Potter's room, underneath the stairs! Julia took the time to leave us with flyers of what to do in the area, and she even had Canada Day goodies for us too! We were in walking distance from the beach, and the lookout. We brought a blanket to check out the sunset. Overall Our group had an amazing weekend, and appreciated Julia letting us stay in her super cute home.

    Amanda 2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • This house is quite beautiful, with a great backyard, a well-stocked kitchen, and comfy beds. It was very clean. The location is excellent and is close to the main Bayfield strip of restaurants and shops. The beach was further than anticipated but we were able to walk there with our young kids. Julia was very responsive and helpful! My only main complaint about the house is that it is very loud: creaky and echoey. This was a problem if kids woke or if anyone had to go to the bathroom in the night: any step produces loud creaks and a child crying echoes through the whole house. The stairs are quite steep and if you are coming with young kids I'd highly suggest bringing some sort of baby gate to alleviate any worry of kids falling down the stairs. Other than that, the house is very well stocked with extra towels and blankets, a great BBQ, and a fun little Harry Potter room that the little kids loved. Take note if you are coming with kids that there are no toys of any kind on site - make sure you bring buckets and shovels for the beach!

    Freya2018-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Julia's place is a gem! The home shows pride of ownership and Julia has decorated it with great thought and taste. Clearly she had comfort in mind when she added the finishing touches. The place is bigger than it appears in the pictures with a rustic and country feel which is truly heartwarming. Our group of 8 spent a weekend there and had a wonderful and memorable time. Julia was easy to communicate with and her response time was great for the most part. She was also very helpful when it came to giving us tips of what to do in and around the area. Bayfield is a very pretty town, with perfectly manicured homes. We were fortunate to be able to catch the weekly Farmer's market and the "Paint the Sunset" at Pioneer Park! We would love to visit again, thank you Julia!

    Anu2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay for a weekend away from the city, especially for a group of 8! Julia and John's cottage is super convenient being just a few short steps away from both Bayfield's main strip and beautiful Lake Huron. The dining (specifically black dog pub and bistro!) in town was excellent! Julia was very quick to respond to any questions we had, and the house itself was very clean, comfortable and roomy. I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a place that can accommodate a large group!

Our cottage is located at the Howard St Beach Access. Decorated with a vintage flair, you will find a well-equipped kitchen, dining room and living space at our home away from home. Wifi. Central air unit inside and a large, private yard & deck outside. Short walk to the main street where you will find all the unique shops and restaurants Bayfield has to offer. Some pets welcome for an extra fee.
Many have told us that our cottage feels 'like home' the minute they step in. It is a great spot to get reconnected with friends and family, without any distractions. Make it a quiet, relaxing beach vacation or visit Mainstreet Bayfield where there is always lots of action. We love our cottage in the winter too, with heat and a fireplace, it is a comfortable spot to be on a snowy winter day.
The Howard Street Beach Access is right across the road. A short jaunt up Tuyll Street will take you to the famous Pioneer Park, where many a sunset is captured on camera. Uptown (about 10 min walk) is Clan Gregor Square, where they have a great playground and splash pad. Always lots going on here in the summer months, including farmers markets, flea markets, entertainment and events.
  • Absolutely perfect

    Lisa2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great weekend at Susanne's cozy cottage. The record player and cabinet of games kept us busy on a cold winter day while the gas fireplace kept us warm. Close walk to the main square, yet on a quiet street near the beach. Would definitely come back when it was warmer so we could appreciate the back yard and nearby beach access. The only issue we had was with the shower, even after making sure the curtain was completely closed, it still leaked. One little thing that definitely didn't take away from all the great things this cottage had to offer.

    Sarah2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was located close to the beach and just a ten-minute walk to Bayfield's famed Main Street. It was quite clean and with the gas fireplace, it was nice and warm, even in the middle of winter. Guests interested in cooking will be happy to note that there's a Foodland a short drive away, and that in the summertime, the Farmer's Market is nearby. If you're a larger group, you may want to bring your own cooking utensils and pans, as most of the frying pans were quite small. More tips for future renters: make sure that you bring your own showering essentials (ie. shampoo and towels), and bed linens (pillowcases and sheets), as surprisingly, none of these are supposed to be provided. Also, be sure to bring an extra towel for the washroom floor, as the shower tended to leak quite a bit when in use. This little Tuyll St cottage was quirky and cosy, and with a staticky radio and a record player in lieu of wifi and cable TV, it felt like we had gone back in time. A change of pace in charming Bayfield, ON.

    Jen2017-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Bayfield is a classy, upscale little beach town on Lake Huron. I cannot speak highly enough about Bayfield! There are so many wonderful, sweet little shops and restaurants. The entire village seems to be on vacation, and everyone is so friendly and happy. I felt like I was in a fairy tale! :) Our stay at Susanne's was wonderful. Her adorable cottage is situated in the most perfect location. It is literally a stone throw away from the gorgeous beach, and we loved seeing those famous sunsets each night! It is in such a quiet and private spot. A perfect oasis! The beds were comfortable and the cottage has a great layout. We also enjoyed the fire pit. Susanne's cottage is also a very short stroll to the wonderful village with those quaint little shops. I highly recommend this cottage. We hope to come back soon!

    Wendie2017-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at the cottage. The location in relation to the beach was excellent and with a quick walk to the quaint Bayfield strip we rarely had to use our car. This was the perfect home for our family of six to relax and connect. If you're looking for an affordable place to stay, while being a bit rustic, it manages to be cozy and charming. Communication was good and the description matched what we experienced.

  • Absolutely amazing stay!! Loved the location, the beautiful big backyard, the fire put, the old record player and GREAT vinyl & old classic movie selection!! There were quite a few ants (only in the kitchen) but I think that could just be the time of year, as the ants are bad here at home for us. And make sure to bring an extra towel for the floor in the bathroom, the shower does leak onto the floor a little, even with the curtain closed fully - or use the towel provided by the host. The water is a few short steps away, and the sunset we caught was BREATHTAKING! In-town was extremely close, we went there for dinner on our last night. Grocery store is just around the corner basically, along with the LCBO. Grand bend main isn't too far of a drive either - we went there for one of the days, and it took around 20 minutes on a straight road (beautiful country side drive). Neighbours were also very friendly! I could go on and on... would definitely stay again!!

  • The cottage was very cozy. The only thing was the bathroom and shower was a little small. Back yard was good for our dogs and the fire pit was great for fires. If you are renting there make sure you bring cd moves to watch on the tv as there is no cable.

It’s entirely up to you. Located on the shores of Lake Huron, Bayfield offers world-class freshwater sailing, fishing and swimming. Looking to learn or enhance a hobby? Or stock your pantry with our fresh, local produce and don your own chef’s apron. No matter what relaxation means to you, you’ll find plenty of ways to achieve it in Bayfield. The market is popular with visitors stocking their cottage kitchens as well as with local residents seeking quality products. Bring along the kids, they can play in the adjacent playground and splash pad! After a day playing in the sand, sailing on the lake or shopping on Main Street visitors will no doubt work up an appetite. Looking for affordable fabulous fare, sharing a pint or two with friends, or indulging in a gourmet culinary experience? All can be found in any number of dining establishments around and about the village. A little room left for dessert? There is no more satisfying indulgence than an ice cream or yogurt cone, both are readily available in our village – the perfect excuse to stroll Main Street on a summer’s eve, savouring an icy treat while soaking up the atmosphere. Bayfield is surrounded by some of the richest agricultural land in Ontario providing an ample variety of fresh fruits and vegetables in season. Local chefs take advantage of all that is offered and foodies reap the rewards.
  • Firstly, communication was quick and effective. I had a couple of questions in different moments prior to arrival, and they were all promptly answered. The cottage is super well located - close to the village with great art galleries, stores, cafes and restaurants. But most importantly, just 2 minutes away from pioneer park, and from the beach. When it comes to the cottage it self, it was perfectly clean and organized on our arrival. Plus it is extremely confortable, with a great living room with a gas fireplace, and a really well equipped kitchen. Finally, the back yard is perfect for Long hours of chilling - enjoying the sun, reading, taking, etc. We just had the best weekend in some years. Bayfield has the best atmosphere, and staying at this cottage just makes it all perfect.

  • Wonderful cottage in an ideal location. Only two blocks from the main street of town and two block from the beach access. Host was quick and responsive to any questions we had and the cottage had most anything one could want in a wonderful spot to stay put or home base for day trips. All in all, was a smooth transaction/stay which allowed us to focus on what was important on the trip, a relaxing family vacation.

  • This was our first time to Bayfield and we loved it. The cottage was excellent, great location, very close to shops and dining. Sara was very prompt in her responses and very helpful. Everything you could need was provided for you. Would recommend Sara and her cottage in a heartbeat.

  • Perfect little cottage 2 minutes walk to the beach. Really cute and cozy! The place was really clean as well. Foodland and LCBO at 2 minutes drive. We had an amazing weekend !

  • At Sarah’s you will find a relaxing quaint and well appointed cottage filled with antique furniture. Very nice!

    Greg2018-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Our family stayed during a July heat wave, and it was so hot we weren’t able to stay indoors during daylight hours. Thankfully the house is situated only a couple minutes walk to the water, and the air conditioned pubs and shops! Lots of linens were provided and main bedroom and bathroom are big. Bbq is charcoal so keep that in mind if you are unfamiliar with them. Kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and there’s a nice deck to sit on off the kitchen. Sara replies to questions promptly.

  • Sara's place in Bayfield was extremely comfortable and convenient. It was right around the corner from Main Street, a quick and easy walk to the many fun stores and restaurants in Bayfield. Sara's cottage home was very clean with all amenities. My wife and I enjoyed sitting on both the front and back decks catching up on our reading and enjoying the surroundings. It was also a great home base to head on down to the beach. I highly recommend Sara's place in Bayfield for a welcoming and relaxing vacation.

    Richard2017-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Sara's cottage. The place was clean, had all the amenities we needed and plenty of charm. The location was great, right in the heart of Bayfield, two minutes walk to downtown and five minutes to Pioneer Park, with stair access to the beach. Sara was very responsive, when we noted some missing amenities and they were delivered to us within the hour. We are a family of 4, two kids age 3 and 6.

  • A very beautiful place to stay. Perfect location for exploring Goderich--close to the downtown, but feels worlds away. Huge bedrooms with beautiful views.

  • This was a beautiful location! We spent a wonderful 3 nights in this home. Despite the intense heat of the days we chose to spend here the outdoor space was perfectly comfortable, the view of the sunsets was outstanding, and we even got to watch the ships coming into the basin a few times. Florian is a very gracious host, and she was able to offer really helpful tips about the best things to see and do in and around Goderich. A truly wonderful stay for my family. We would come back tomorrow if we could!

  • Had a great time

    Lynda2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Our rooms were airy and cheery, with a sunset view of Lake Huron. The first floor breakfast nook with small refrigerator and Keurig coffee station was just right for starting our day. We borrowed kitchen dishes and washed them after every use. An easy walk to the city center or to the park for the Celtic Roots Festival.

    Terry2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful experience! The host kindly bought roses for our special occasion. The view from the rooms is splendid but I did not expect a big ship in the view. Overall it was great, thank you!

    Wei2017-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • The Castle was amazing. What you get for the price is out of this world. The view is phenomenal in both rooms and the extra money for the room with the better view is worth it. The hosts are incredibly friendly.

Lake area retreat! A 5 minute walk to the shores of Lake Huron. This spacious 3 bedroom cottage was custom built in 2008. Open concept with 16’ high pine cathedral ceilings. Cherry stained maple kitchen cabinets with large island. Stainless steel appliances. Large sunroom/ family room with vaulted ceiling and patio door access to rear private yard. Convenient to Goderich (less than 8 minute drive) and Bayfield (less than 15 minutes drive). Let your cottage memories begin here!
  • The annex is a cosy comfortable retreat from busy life. From the moment we arrived we began to wind down and felt instantly relaxed. The place is very homely and with all necessities. The beds are very comfortable. There were toys for our 2-year old daughter to play with which I thought was a lovely touch. The sunny deck and back garden are quiet and a great place to relax. The annex is within walking distance to a small beach and very close to the larger beach at Goderich. Virginia was an excellent host and very easy to communicate with. She gave us lots of advice on things to do in the area also. The only downside is having to bring your garbage away with you- we only stayed 2 nights so we didn’t have too much but if you are staying longer this might be difficult. All in all though a fantastic place to stay.

You are provided with everything you need to have an amazing time and even provided with games to play with friends/family to make the nights more exciting and enjoyable. This was my first air bnb booking and happy it was my first

    Fred Ngoga2018-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had the best time at Virginia and Marilyn’s cottage. The cottage was clean, inviting and had personal touches to say “welcome!”. The rooms have air conditioners which were helpful in very warm weather and there were also fans throughout the cottage. Being so close to Goderich was handy and we enjoyed many walks along the boardwalk and one (maybe 2) treats from Culberts Bakery on the square. The cottage is very baby-friendly. Our 9 month old was able to sleep comfortably in the board game room by himself. If you’re looking for a week to get away and relax in a quiet neighbourhood this is the perfect place!

    Kathleen2018-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is nicely situated close to the lake and a short drive to either Goderich or Bayfield. It is spacious, new, clean and exceptionally comfortable. Our host has provided many extra touches for the convenience of her guests ... these were much appreciated. The bedrooms are air conditioned, ceiling fans are in the main living areas and the windows and doors provide great cross ventilation. We were greatful for these since it has been a hot summer. Indoors and out it is a perfect family get away location!

    Pat2018-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Virginia’s cottage was amazing. The cottage is sensational with great amenities. I loved cooking in the kitchen, hanging out on the back deck, and the main area was a great open space for hosting my friends. Had the best time ever. The beach was so secluded and gorgeous and the location was perfect. Downtown Goderich is so cute, we enjoyed some ice cream and lunch on day. Definitely want to come back next summer!

    Savanna2018-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, attractive and well stocked cottage. Close to many amenities.

    Susan2018-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I stayed at The Annex for the weekend and we found it exactly as described. A nice open air cottage with good amenities and comfortable beds. There were lots of areas to sit and relax and a good amount of space available for a medium sized group. The kitchen was just like home and they have a very nice BBQ so it's easy to make good home cooked meals. The cottage is a nice 5-10 min walk from the beach which is beautiful. Virginia and Marilyn responded very quickly and were able to answer questions without delay. They provided a ton of information about the cottage itself as well as the surrounding area. Check-in and out was easy. Overall great stay and highly recommended.

Off to the side of the cottage is a covered deck where you can cook a great meal using the propane bar-b-que. You’ll find the perfect space for dining outdoors with a beautiful teak table. There’s also bar top seating for 4 which also overlooks the lake. A sectional couch makes this another cozy place to unwind and enjoy nature. The Living room has a 40” SmartTV with DVD and electric fireplace with sweeping views of the the lake. Even on a rainy day it’s so cool to watch a movie and the storm! There are 3 bedrooms - master bedroom offers a queen sized Tempurpedic bed and glass doors lead to deck and view of lake. The other 2 bedrooms each have bunk beds twin over double with new mattresses. Glass doors lead out to the deck where Muskoka chairs invite you to relax in the sun, sounds and views of the lake. Approximately 15 steps down to your own beach (90feet). There are no weeds and it’s fun to find the ever changing sandbars. Have a campfire on the beach, count the stars and watch the PointClark lighthouse.
The shoreline changes quite rapidly. It's pebbly when u walk in water but sandy everywhere else. There are no weeds and it’s fun to find the ever changing sandbars. Have a campfire on the beach, count the stars and watch the PointClark lighthouse. Lake Huron is also great for stone collecting too. You may see a bald eagle in the area as well as the resident peacock. Take a walk up the lane and visit the resident goats who are quite comical and you are welcome to feed them. Here you will notice on the pole our community library “Take a Book, Give a Book”. Watch the most beautiful sunsets in the world from your private beach, or the deck, or the living room and even the kitchen. Truly this is the Sundown Sanctuary
  • We had a fantastic time at Jennifer's cottage. The place was sparkling when we arrived and the view is outstanding! When we got to the kitchen, we were pleasantly surprised at how well stocked it was. I've been to several other Airbnb's and they didn't have any of the staples that were available here. We went on the May long weekend and although the weather didn't always play nicely, we did appreciate that we could look out through the windows to the lake. Thank you for the stay!

  • This place was amazing and the view was breathtaking! It perfectly fit my group of six and the amenities were top notch, normally when I stay in Airbnb’s I’ve learned to pack a few extras of things we’ll need and Jennifer had everything! She replies quickly and her welcome package was a sweet touch. Just a tip for anyone who has a fear of dogs, the neighbours dogs occasionally came over to say hello but they were very friendly. The neighbours were great as well. We would definitely come back.

  • Thanks to Jennifer for having us and allowing us to experience her beautiful cottage! Me and my 7 sisters throughly enjoyed our annual week-end get-away! So serene with spectacular views here! Highly recommend!
