This cottage was nice and clean with a beautiful view of the lake and a nice size backyard. Neighbours on both sides were friendly and kept to themselves. We took the boat out (check for bugs first) The tv is also an updated newer version than the one in the picture with an HDMI cord and dvd player so bring some dvds (no wifi). Marine was quick to respond. Thanks for sharing your cottage.

This cottage is a good size with a good location & is a great family area, needs a few things improved such as the deck which would not be safe for young children(No Railings), accommodations for garbage and recyclables should be better. Marine is very accommodating and communicated the details very well. Overall a good stay, would recommend trying it out.

Spent a girls cottage weekend here and we had an amazing time! Place was very clean and exactly like the pictures. Beautiful view and great friendly neighbours. Absolutely loved the dock, even though the water is shallow it was refreshing to sit or stand in. Marine is a great host and was easy to communicate with whether it be through text or phone call. Would definitely recommend!

We had such a great time at this little gem! The house is right off the highway but you can barely hear anything once your eyes inside. Pictures really don't do it any justice, it's clean and super comfortable, great for a relaxing weekend getaway. Gisele and Joe are great hosts too! Both came to talk to us and provided great info on the area. Joe even sent us off with a bounty of veggies from their organic garden :) We will definitely be back to escape from the City again.

We stayed at the cottage for 4 night/5 days. The cottage is immaculate. Centrally located close to a number of small Ontario towns. The cottage is bright and very well appointed. Lots of room with a great deck and wonderful breeze. I would love to live there forever. The cottage provided a quiet place to recharge and relax from the hustle and bustle of the city. Gisele and Joe are great hosts! Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Gisele because she was busy, but Joe was there in case we needed anything all the time. He even gave us some vegetables that he grows in his garden! Their cottage was exactly as described: perfectly clean, fully equipped kitchen and calm deck with BBQ facing the huge corn fields! Lots of things to do in the area too! Would return with pleasure!

We had a lovely weekend at the well equipped cottage on Rice Lake. There was lots of space, even though there were five of us, and all of the kitchen utensils, etc we could imagine needing. There are other cottages quite close by and a far bit of traffic in and out past the deck, none-the-less the deck you see in the main picture is a great place to relax, and in general the pictures are very accurate. The cottage was set further back from the lake then I expected, on the other side of the entry road, however access to the lake was good, and with water shoes it was a pleasant place to swim. Chad was a helpful host, quickly responsive to texts if we had questions.

Nice quaint cottage, with modern touches. Overall, the cottage was clean and the main dining room has a beautiful view of the lake. We really enjoyed the fire pit and the neighbours were extremely nice and lent us firewood. The kitchen and bedrooms were fully equipped with everything we needed. Overall, Chad was easy to communicate with and answered questions throughout the weekend. Additional information: For those looking to swim, it should be noted that it's recommended to wear water shoes. There is a hot tub but it is located in the back side of the house.

Alyssa was more than amazing, the cottage is so peaceful and comfortable, I accidentally tripped over my bag and bumped into a small window which broke and she wasn't upset at all, quite the opposite, she was happy I was honest about it. If you're looking for a place away from the city where you can see the stars at night, then this is the place. I wish I stayed longer!

Alyssa was a pleasure to deal with and was always available via text. I had mentioned that I was hoping to make use of a fire pit, to my surprise she had one brought to the cottage just before I arrived! The photos are accurate and the cottage is quite large and clean! Access to the lake at two points within walking distance and a convenience store around the corner capable of supplying you with many of the "I forgot to bring" items. I definitely recommend this listing!

Lovely area perfect for a weekend get away from the city. Just what I thought it be like, quiet, clean, and not far from Toronto. My friends and I spent the whole weekend no the dock swimming and sunbathing. Sandra's great and so are the neighbors. Cabin got super hot at night wish there was a cooling system but other than that loved it. Would visit again

We had a great stay at Elm Grove! We used Sandra's place as a jumping off point for back country camping canoe trip in Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park (about an hour north). Sandra greeted us when we arrived and was friendly and helpful. Her place was tidy and just as described. Our daughter loved the swimming area and enjoyed playing with the neighbor kids! Small two bedroom cabin in a quiet but scenic location near the lake. Unfortunately we had bad weather for the night of our stay so didn't get to enjoy sitting by the fire pit or strolling by the lake...we'll have to do it next time we visit. Make sure to bring your own bedsheets, towels, hand towels and toiletries since none are provided (which was a bit of an inconvenience for a one night stay....). Overall, a lovely little place to stay.

It's a great location near some Provincial parks. Lovely location and not as buggy this time of the year. Enjoyed every bit of it and the hot shower was a plus. Respectful area with some of the nicest people ever. Thank you Sandra for everything.

There were 2 adults staying at the cottage for the week and a third adult joined us for the weekend. Sally's place was great. The cottage is better than I expected. The sunroom was especially wonderful with screened and glassed sliding doors. The porch is elevated and offers a beautiful view of the lake. The wifi worked well and having Netflix was welcomed in the evenings. I would like to offer the following suggestions: - add a mirror in each bedroom and in the sunroom which was also being used as a bedroom - the sofa in the living room has seen a lot of life and should be retired - replace the shade umbrella because it has no crank and needs 2 people to set it up while standing on the picnic table

Wonderful sun porch and deck over looking Rice Lake. Hosts are great. Close to Peterborough with lots of things to do. Good fishing off the dock for the kids.

This is a great place to stay. Clean, comfortable and quiet. We were welcomed with 2 bottles of sparkling wine which was unexpected and very sweet of Sally and Greg. Greg greeted us and showed us the ropes. Our stay was amazing between the breathtaking view of Rice Lake and the comfy sunroom to relax in the evening. I highly recommend a stay here. I know we will be back.

Have to say this is one of the best experiences on Airbnb that I've ever had. Having used the service through friends and family members this was my first time "running the show". Greg/Sally did a great job responding to our questions and even the odd thing that we really needed. The cottage is to die for, clean, neat and on beautiful Rice Lake. This was a new listing at the time of my check in and I was afraid things may not been up to code, I have to say I was very wrong, everything was amazing and beyond my expectations. Also the neighbors are about as friendly as can be! Anyone looking to book an amazing experience of cottage country should look no further than to this place.

We enjoyed the 5 days we spent at Anne's cottage and we would have liked to stay longer. After a 2 hour drive from Toronto, we arrived to find the cottage ready for our stay. The place has everything you need for a short or longer stay, and it is located in a quiet area very close to the water (Rice Lake). The surrounding area is worth exploring as well and the city of Peterborough (also worth visiting) is about 25 minutes away by car. Anne was very helpful in answering any questions we had and we would definitely consider staying there again.

Such cute character cabins with all the amenities you need (and if not ask Natalia and she will help you)! Beautiful lake, scenery, fishing right off the dock and a fantastic sauna! Pool wasn't open but it over looks the lake and is very secluded from the wind. Would highly recommend staying here if you would like to enjoy the peace and quiet of nature.

Great cottage! Very clean. Perfect location right on the lake. The dock area is very clean as well, and the pedal boat we used was in great shape. Grounds are well kept, as is the pool. No complaints! Thanks so much to our hosts who were very friendly and accommodating.

Another stay at what we call 'the Lakehouse'. Julie-Anne and Robert are awesome hosts- helpful and will either leave you alone to enjoy the property in solitude or invite you to enjoy conversation with them. They really aren't kidding about playing with the small dogs! We'll miss them when we leave!

My husband and I loved it here. A charming and spacious camper with a vintage feel nestled in a wooded area of the propery, a walk from Rice Lake. Kim was very friendly and available if we needed anything. We felt welcome. She also runs a little gift shop with wonderful handmade crafts and traditional medicines. This is a great place for a getaway.

The location of the trailer is not ideal - right in the back yard right behind the house. The unit is over 10 yrs old and is showing its age. Maybe an ideal place for a fisherman to stay while checking out Rice lake but not ideal as a respite location.

We had a memorable weekend here. Waaseyaa-Kwe was more than hospitable, was very quick to reply to any of our messages. The trailer was more cozy and spacious than I expected and we were a walks distance from the shore of Rice lake and a short 30 minute drive to Peterborough.

Our stay on the RV was peaceful and relaxing. The RV was very clean, had all the basic amenities we needed and we had access to the gas barbecue which was an added bonus. Though we did not meet Cynthia and Stephen, they had made the arrangements for our check-in and were very informative during our stay as there were some pre-arranged visits occurring on the property. Those though, did not interfere with our stay. The view of the lake was beautiful from the property and the nearby public park with boat/fishing docks. Location was great and was a close drive to Cobourg Beach and Cobourg Marina.

We had a great stay at Stephen's and Cynthia's RV! It was very clean and tidy and the kitchen was equipped with everything you need. They were kind enough to let us use extra amenities on the property too as the cottage was not in use! The view of the lake is beautiful and we got great use of the canoes, kayaks, badminton net as well as the lakeside fire pit. The location is great for activities - it's 15 min from a high ropes course and outdoor escape maze. Stephen and Cynthia were very prompt to respond when booking and are very transparent with everything that's offered. Would highly recommend it!

Great place for a relaxing long weekend! Stephen was a great host, he communicated clearly and quickly. He went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and at home. Stephen even helped us out by researching some local transportation options for us, going beyond what a regular host does. The place was as described and the pictures are accurate. Actually, the pictures and description do not do the place justice, the trailer feels bigger. The trailer is nicely separated from the main house and the neighbors. Stephen was great in offering their kayaks and canoes for our use. We went out for a nice morning trip on Rice Lake using his kayaks. Also, there is a very nice restaurant and stores within walking distance- less than 10 minutes leisurely walk. We would definitively make a return stay with Stephen and at the trailer.

Stephen's RV was a great accommodation for us. It is walking distance the the beautiful community of Bewdly, with its great shops and eateries.

The trailer was clean and comfortable. Good to know that if you want to use the microwave; you need to use the switch on the wall and switch it back afterwards or you won't have hot water. Great paddle toys - boards, kayak and canoe but water is shallow so you can't see to the bottom. Nice and warm; lovely holiday.

Although a nice outdoor deck, the inside was not clean, especially the kitchen and bathrooms unfortunately May the stay a little less enjoyable.

What a magical property about an hour from the city of Toronto! This beautiful home is tucked away in nature and offers the peace and serenity of the country. The home is incredible! A gorgeous mix of high end, casual and eclectic, we loved the spaciousness of the home and the beautiful decor. We had a hard time choosing which rooms we wanted because they were all so beautiful! The kitchen was amazing and with ample dishes and silverware. My favorite part was the huge deck on the back of the house! With rolling fields all around and plenty of seating, we spent most of our time out here. Ivan was really helpful during our stay and was staying on property. We loved getting to talk with him and hearing more about the history of the home. We hope to be back next year to soak up the magic of this amazing home again! Thank you Ivan!

Booked a reservation in less than a week and I couldn't ask for more welcoming and accommodating hosts that go above and beyond what I expected. Thoroughly enjoyed staying in this gorgeous home. It was the perfect location for a quiet getaway from the city. The amazing decor inside and out. The deck has been updated with additional furniture to enjoy meals in large groups and an outdoor lounge area with a beautiful view of the countryside. It was also a lot of fun when we got a chance to play with one of the dogs, who was very sweet and friendly, just like her owners. Would highly recommend.

Our first Airbnb experience was one to remember. From the day we found the place online, we haven't stopped talking about how beautifully appointed the Bailieboro house is, each room is so well decorated. Our family of six fit so well into the house. Our nights were quiet and peaceful. We spent some good times out on the amazing deck, from dinner on the first night to a pit fire on our last night.

Great place! Very relaxing....the deck was lovely to sit out on, the kids all enjoyed the pool and the dog had room to run! The beds were comfortable, the house was well stocked...the only thing we couldn't find (and didn't bring) was a pair of scissors but that was easy to work around! Very spacious, everyone had a place to sit and have down time with no one around (we had 3 adults and 4 teens, perfect for all of us!!). Great place to bird watch, read a book and relax! Thanks!
